Cloud Runner stood proudly on the top left tower of the canterlot castle, doing his job making sure no pony tries to get sneaky and climb over the castle in the middle of the night. He had passed royal guard training a couple days ago and already he’s had to deal with situations. Mainly unicorns who would try to use magic to teleport to the other side of the wall, only for him to spot them and call a squad of guards to escort them back out.
The castle was given a spell wall during the nights to block any magic from passing through, almost any magic. Unfortunately some very gifted unicorns with powerful magic are able to bypass the magical wall at times and go through it. It’s a real shame they have that talent and don’t use it for good like working a tough construction job, or even trying out for the Unicorn Royal guard. We could use their talents to make the castle a safer place.

As he stood at his post he was suddenly called by a Royal Guard below the tower staring up at him. “Cloud Runner, today’s your inspection. Go to the parade square while I take your position until you get back.” the guard said to him in a tone loud enough so Cloud Runner could hear him.
Inspection day huh, this will be his first time going to one. He was expecting it to be his time eventually, as every pony of the royal guard goes through one. He walked his way down, nodding to the guard as they walked up the steps to the tower.
He made it to the parade square and saw a line of Royal Guards standing on a white line that was on the ground. It stretched as long as the podium that was in front of it, where a Royal Guard Commander stood. She looked at Cloud Runner as he stood there looking at her but not moving, the mare then gave Cloud Runner a “You better move before I make you move.” kind of stare.
Cloud Runner getting the hint quickly joined the line of other Royal Guards, staring forward as they were, looking at the Commander in the eyes as she began to speak.

Most of the guards including Cloud Runner began to sigh in rythem, looking at the guard who got them into this predicament with hate. Said guard looked the other direction with an embarrassed look on his face.
“QUIET ALL OF YOU, AND I DIDN’T SAY LOOK AWAY FROM ME!!” she instructed and all the guards looked back at her, bringing back their stoic facial expressions they were taught back in the academy.
