Chapter: 14: Chapter Complete

“Alex?”

Alex suddenly groaned as he opened his eyes a little bit, he saw blurry blobs looking at him.

“Oh, he’s waking up!” One said excitedly.

“And it’s about time too!” Another said.”

“Larry, be careful what you say!” A third one said said.

“Am I…. dreaming…?” Alex said softly. “Ugh, my head… What….happened…?”

Alex’s eyes then adjusted back to normal as he saw he was in his room with his parents and Andrew by his side all looking him with looks of concern. Alex couldn’t believe it, is new friends were still alive!

“His eyes are open!” Alex's mom exclaimed.

“Alex, Are you okay?” Andrew asked him. Alex was so happy to see his friend still alive in one peace.

“ANDREW, YOU’RE OKAY!” Alex exclaimed as he suddenly hugged him. Andrew was shocked to see him this way.

“Oh jeez! Alex! You shouldn’t be moving!” Andrew replied.

“I thought I lost you! I’m so glad you’re still here!” Alex said with tears in his eyes.

“What are you talking about, Alex? You really shouldn’t be pushing yourself like this.” Andrew said.

“Please, Alex, dear. Don’t move around too much.” His mom said to Alex. He listened to her as he stopped hugging Andrew and sat back down in his bed. He had never felt so happy to see the ones he cared deeply about.

“Thank the lord, my family is okay as well…” Alex said softly.

“You had a pretty nasty accident when you were found by a curb. Some homeless guy told us that you touched a weird orb and passed out.” his dad said to him, revealing that Alex had been knocked out this whole time.

“How long was I out for?” Alex asked them.

“Not very long, just for a few days.” Andrew said to him. “We stayed by your side after that incident. We wanted to make sure you were okay.”

“Oh, Alex… please don’t do something so reckless again… it scared everybody.” his mom whimpered.

“I promise I won’t…” Alex replied.

“Finding you was pretty hard,” Andrew intervened. “A cat kept meowing at the site.”

“Yeah! If it wasn’t for that, finding you would’ve been a challenge!” his dad said.

“A cat…?” Alex said confused.

“Yeah some sort of cat that had white fur and green and blue eyes.” Andrew said. Alex was silent.

“Anyways, you should get some rest, Alex.” His mom said. “So the wound in your head can heal quickly."

“Okay, mom.” Alex said as the others left the room. He laid his head down on the pillow and thought to himself.

‘This can’t be possible! Was it really all a dream? Were the ponies just a figment of my imagination? And what do they mean by a cat with different colored eyes?’

Alex then looked at the window and gasped. He saw the same exact cat with the green and blue eyes was looking right at him. But what shocked him more was when the cat suddenly spoke to him!

Don’t worry. I am not here to hurt you…” the cat said. “You have proven yourself to be a very tough human, Alex. That means you no longer need me. So, you’re free now. Your life has returned to what it was before.
Alex looked out the opposite window and looked into the sky and smiled. He had a strange feeling that the ponies were somehow seeing him.

“So… In other words…” The cat said…

"I don’t need you…"
