Viral Velocity, an angel to ponies who know her personally and a singer who volunteered to join the military after a revolution within the Changeling Kingdom brought in a new age of conflict. With her squadron wiped out, she becomes a POW to a brutal new enemy.

Akula, who was once a loyal member of Chrysalis' hive driven away by the shift in power has returned to reclaim the throne for his queen, but the revolutionaries in the hive do not see it his way. He is betrayed by his own once again, imprisoned and tortured by those he thought would welcome him leaving only anger and a thirst for blood from Chrysalis' Demon.

Brought together by chance, Demon and Angel must find a way to coexist in a world that insists they are enemies to end a reign of someone much more dangerous than the war they find themselves in.
