Should be celebrating their birthday!!

That’s right, it’s that time of the year! It is now Austin’s birthday today and everypony is getting everything prepared at the Canterlot Castle throne room before the birthday boy ruins the surprise. The Main 6, the princesses, Shining Armor, The CMC, The Young Six, Ember, Thorax, Starlight, and Tempest were finishing up the decorations, before Spike came running in the room.

“He’s on his way right now!!” Spiked yelled.

The ponies then shifted to maximum speed to get the decorations done. On the other side of the castle, Austin and Wingdings were walking out of Celestia’s bedroom, dressed in his black outfit with the white shirt behind the black buttoned shirt, with his black pants and with his sneakers. Wingdings just wore his black lab coat, like normal.

“Why don’t you change clothes instead of using your lab coat?” Austin asked Wingdings.

“Well it’s kinda hard when I’m made up of magic and shadows.” Wingdings said to Austin.

“We’ll have you tried to use your magic to create a pair of new clothes?”

“Hmm... I haven’t thought of that.”

Wingdings used some dark magic and placed it on his clothing. It then changed into the same suit as Austin wore.

“Huh it looks like it worked.” Wingdings said.

“Yeah and you look good without having that coat on.” Austin smiled.

“I guess your right little buddy.” Wingdings ruffled up Austin’s hair a bit.

“Come on let’s go!” Austin’s said as he speed walked.

“Woah slow down kiddo, your going to trip!”

“Hehe sorry... I got a bit excited.” Austin scratched the back of his head, embarrassed.

“It’s alright. Let’s go but not run and fall.”

“Okay!”

The two got to the doors to the throne room. Austin went to open the doors, but Wingdings stopped him.

“Hang on now!” Wingdings said.

“What’s wrong?” Austin asked.

“Uhhh... just wanted to make sure you look good and yep you look great!”

“... okay?”

Austin opened the throne room and it is pitch black. The only thing the two can see was their eyes glowing in the dark. They walked in a bit more before stopping.

“Huh... everything is dark.” Austin said.

“It is.” Wingdings said.

“Should we be concerned?”

The lights flickered and everypony stood around the two.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUSTIN!!!” Everypony yelled in unison.

Austin gasped. “Awww thank you everyone!! You sure gave me an surprised.” Austin said as everypony came to Austin to give him a hug.

“We wanted to make your first birthday here a good one dear.” Celestia said softly.

“Well this is certainly a surprise with all of you all here.”

Austin looked around the room and saw many of his pony friends. The main 6, Starlight, Tempest, Spike, Cadance, Shining Armor, Flurry Heart, The CMC, Ember, Thorax and The Young Six were present.

“Wow, everyone is here. I’m very touched.” Austin said with a tear in one eye.

“Oh course, we wouldn’t miss it for the world.” Cadance said as she wiped the tear off of Austin’s eye with her wing.

“Hehe... it feels like yesterday I just arrived here and was feeling scared, confused and not confident with myself... but now with my new friends, I got my confidence back and I’m not afraid anymore.”

“And you made us very happy that you came in our lives.” Luna said happily.

“Yeah! Now can we start the party now.” Pinkie Pie eagerly said.

“Yes my pink friend, the party can start now.” Celestia nodded.

“YAY!!!” Pinkie jumped happily up and down, confetti exploding behind her.

The party now started, everypony chatted, fillies playing, everyone having the time of their lives. Austin was playing with the cutie mark crusaders and Wingdings was with Celestia. Wingdings and Celestia looked as Austin was playing.

“He’s growing up fast.” Wingdings said to Celestia.

“He is, but hopefully he will stay the happy and caring child we know.” Celestia said happily.

“Well humans can change their behaviors, but I know Austin will be happy... because he has an amazing mother to keep him happy.”

“Oh... Wingdings I’m very flattered, but you also been the best brother you can be.” Celestia blushed a bit.

“Hey what about me?” Luna said with a humph.

“I haven’t forgotten you too. You two have been so caring ever since...” Wingdings lowered his head.

“Yeah... but it looks like he moved on from them and is now happy, but I feel like he still holds on those feelings.” Celestia said.

“He may need those feelings to keep him going. After what he’s been through, from Earth and Equestria, he will hold on his parents energy to keep going, for them.”

“Couldn’t said it any better,” Celestia said happily. “Should we give the birthday boy his cake?”

“Yeah, they been playing for a bit after they eaten their supper.”

“Okay. Let’s get them together and let’s have some cake.”

“Okay!” Wingdings and Luna said in unison.

The three went over to the others that the cake will be prepared.

“Okay everypony, the cake will be served soon, so let’s go to the tables and sing the happy birthday song when the cake comes out.” Celestia said happily.

“Ugh... the birthday song is lame.” Gallus grumbled.

Smolder bumped his side with an unimpressed face. “Not on his birthday dude.”

“...Fine.”

The group went to the tables to wait for the cake. A unicorn pony took the cake out of the kitchen and placed it on the tables. The cake was three layers, the first layer was green frosting, the second layer was black frosting and the third layer was yellow. Candles were placed on the third layer on the cake.

“Hey Wings, the frosting looks like us. Me with the green because I have green eyes, black for you and yellow for... momma Celestia?” Austin looked at the third layer with a head tilt.

“That is actually your soul color when you gained your confidence.” Celestia said lightly.

“Really?? I thought it was you or momma Luna if the other side was dark blue.”

“Nope, we made it yellow for your soul because it was your goal to fix your soul.” Luna said happily.

“Aww thank you everyone. It was a big achievement for me.”

“No problem dear, now let’s sing the birthday song.” Celestia said.

Everypony started to sing the birthday song.

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear Austin,
Happy birthday to you!

“Blow out your candles dear.” Celestia said lightly.

Austin then blew out all of the candles in one blow. Celestia took a knife and started to cut the cake. She gave the first piece to Austin and then the rest of them. The piece that Austin got was a yellow piece. It looked like it was cinnamon, Austin took a bite of it and he tasted the cinnamon.

“Hmm it’s soft and delicious. Thank you!” Austin said happily.

“Your welcome dear, but it was our chefs that made the cake for you.” Celestia said lightly.

“Well tell them that they did wonderfully.” Wingdings said.

“I will.” Celestia said.

As everyone was finished eating the cake, every pony gathered in a circle with their gifts and Austin was in the center of the circle.

“Which gift will you open first?” Celestia asked Austin.

“I’m not sure, theirs so many gifts here to pick first.” Austin said, looking at the gifts.

“Here dear you can take mine first if you want. Flurry Heart and I made something for you.” Cadance said softly.

Austin took Cadance’s gift first. It was wrapped in pink wrapping paper. Austin ripped the wrapping paper and looked inside the box. Inside the box was a drawing of a stick figure that looks like Austin. Austin saw some text on the top. What it said was...

“Happy 10th birthday uncle Austin!” - love princess Cadance and Flurry Heart.

Austin also saw another object in their. It’s a cardboard heart. In one sides it’s says “Never give up on your dreams!”

“Awww I love this! Thank you Cadance and Flurry Heart.” Austin said as he hugged Cadance and Flurry Heart.

“No problem sweetie. I made the heart and text and Flurry Heart made the stick figure.

“Wait why didn’t Shining Armor sign this?” Austin asked curiously.

“Me and Cadance made a competition to see who’s gift is better.” Shining Armor said.

“Oh that’s always fun to do some competition.” Austin smiled.

“OHH ME NEXT!!!” Pinkie Pie excitedly said.

“Oh okay Pinkie Pie.” Austin giggled at her excitement.

Pinkie Pie gave her gift to Austin. The gift was a bit big compared to the other gifts. Austin started to rip the wrapping paper and when he opened the gift, confetti flew out of the box, which made Austin jump a bit. When he got the confetti off of his face, he saw a confetti cannon.

“Is this your cannon Pinkie?” Austin said curiously.

“Nope!! I made it by hoof, trying to make exactly as my cannon. It took me a while to make, but it’s worth it for my Austin Wustin.” Pinkie Pie petted his head.

“Aww that’s sweet. You didn’t need to make me one if it took you a while to make.”

“Nonsense, you need all the fun you can have and this always make me have fun all day!” Pinkie Pie jump up and down excitedly.

“Thank you Pinkie.” Austin smiled.

“Your welcome Austin Wustin!” Pinkie smiled too. The two hugged for a few seconds before they stopped the hugging.

“Hey Austin, wanna open my next?” Tempest asked Austin.

“Of course!” Austin said happily.

Tempest gave her present to Austin. The wrapping paper looked dark purple. Austin started to unwrap the gift and opened the box. He looked in the box and saw clothing, but metal like.

“This is body armor that I made from my old armor to fit you.”

“Woah, this is cool!” Austin said in awe. “Can I try it on?”

“Yeah, It’s your gift after all.” Tempest said happily.

Austin put the chest plate on and it fit snug on him. He placed the leggings on and it was a bit like shorts then leggings, but they fitted on him nicely.

“Ohh this is so cool! Thank you Tempest.” Austin said as he hugged Tempest.

“Aww no problem bud.” Tempest returned the hug.

“Open ours next!” The CMC said in unison.

“Okay.” Austin said.

The three gave him their gifts. One looked to be a scooter and the two looked like regular boxes. Austin opened the scooter like gift first and no surprise about it, it was a scooter. Austin then opened Sweetie Belles gift next. He opened the box to see a not well made red cape. Austin opened Apple Blooms gift last. He opened the box and saw a wooden statue of himself in a heroic pose.

“Woah these are very cool! Thank you guys!” Austin smiled.

“Your welcome buddy!” The CMC said as they hugged Austin.

“Umm... if you want you can open mine...” Fluttershy said shyly.

“Okay I’ll open your next.” Austin smiled.

Fluttershy gave her gift to Austin. It was a yellow and pink box. Austin opened the box and saw a bunny onesie that resembles Angel the bunny.

“Aww this is cute.” Austin aww’d.

“Rarity made i-it for me... but I wanted the design to be a my Angel.” Fluttershy said shyly.

“I love it!” Austin said as he hugged Fluttershy.

“O-oh I’m glad you like it.”

“Here open mine!” Luna said excitedly.

“Okay momma Luna.” Austin said happily.

Luna levitated her gift to Austin. The box was a night sky color. Austin opened the box and saw a dream catcher.

“A dream catcher?” Austin asked.

“Yep I made it myself.” Luna said happily.

“But don’t you fight nightmares?”

“Yes, but if I don’t get to your nightmare, this will.”

“Ohhh cool. Thank you momma Luna.” Austin said as he hugged Luna.

“Your welcome sweetie.”

“I was going to go last.... but I want you to have it now.” Celestia said happily.

Celestia levitated her gift to Austin. The box has suns over each side of the box. Austin opened the box to see a picture of all of them.

“This picture was from the day we officially adopted you into our family.” Celestia said happily.

Austin looked at the picture, he started to tear up a bit.

“Sweetie is everything alright?” Celestia said worriedly.

“Yeah I’m fine... I’m just very happy. This moment was the best moment of my entire life.” Austin said as he wiped away his tears. “I love it momma, thank you!” Austin hugged Celestia.

“Aww I’m glad you love it. Don’t worry I’ll get a frame and put it on a wall or on a desk if you want.”

“I would love that.”

“Here take it.” Ember said as she put the gift to him. The box was light blue.

“Oh okay.” Austin said.

Austin opened the gift and saw a dragon scale.

“This was a last minute gift, so I yanked one of Garbles scale.” Ember said.

“That sounds painful.” Austin said.

“Oh yeah he squealed like a filly.” Ember snickered.

“Heh... thank you Ember.” Austin hugged Ember.

“No problem squirt. You can stop with the hugging now.”

“Oh right... not a hugger still.”

“Here you go sugarcube.” Applejack said happily.

Applejack gave the gift to Austin. The box had apples on each side. Austin opened the gift and saw a cowboy hat.

“Ohh a cowboy hat!” Austin said happily.

“Yup I made it just for ya.”

“Aww thank you Applejack.” Austin hugged Applejack.

“Your welcome sugarcube.”

“Here have my gift.” Thorax said happily.

“Okay Thorax.” Austin said.

The box was covered with sparkles. Austin opened the gift and saw a clay doll.

“Oh this looks cool. Thank you Thorax.” Austin hugged Thorax.

“Your welcome.”

“Here take mine next!” Twilight said excitedly.

Twilight gave her gift to Austin. The box was a purple color. Austin opened the gift and saw a book. The book said “Daring Do Special Edition”.

“This book has all the Daring Do books combined together. So if your bored, you can read them.” Twilight smiled.

“I love Daring Do! Thank you Twilight!” Austin hugged Twilight.

“Your welcome hunny.”

“Here take mine next” Starlight said.

“Okay.” Austin said.

The box was a light purple color. Austin opened the gift and saw a spell book.

“This spell book can help you get new powers, or if they don’t work for you, Wingdings can use them.”

“Ohh I might try to use it! Thank you.” Austin hugged Starlight.

“Your welcome Austin.”

“Here you go darling. I do hope you enjoy it.” Rarity said happily.

“I’m sure I will too.” Austin smiled.

The box had a big ribbon on the top of the box. Austin opened the gift and saw a hat. The hat was pure black and the brim was red.

“I know you already got a hat, but I hope you like it.”

“Are you kidding, I love it! It looks cool.”

“Oh I’m glad deary.” Rarity hugged Austin.

“Here you go buddy.” Spike said.

Spike gave his gift to Austin. The box was a green color. Austin opened the gift and saw some gems. Austin saw some rubies, sapphires and many other gems.

“I picked them out myself and I had to fight the urge to eat them.” Spike scratched the back of his head.

“These are beautiful, thank you Spike.” Austin hugged Spike.

“No problem bud.”

“Here take my gift and see if you like it better than Cadances.” Shining Armor said.

The box was a white color. Austin got the fairly big gift and opened it. Inside was a sword and shield.

“Woah! This is cool.” Austin said in awe.

“I knew you were going to say that. So who’s better, mine or hers?”

“Both.”

“Both?!” The two said in unison.

“Yeah, I love them equally.”

“Well I guess it’s a tie.” Shining Amor laughed.

“Here have my awesome gift I picked out for you.” Rainbow Dash said.

The box was like a rainbow color. Rainbow Dash gave the gift to Austin and he started to open it. What he saw was a poster of Rainbow Dash with the Wonderbolts. She also signed her name on the poster.

“Oh wow, I heard you were in the Wonderbolts, but I didn’t know you were in a poster with them.” Austin said in awe.

“Hehe, yeah I’m that great that they put me in a poster.” Rainbow Dash bragged.

“This is awesome! Thank you Rainbow.” Austin hugged Rainbow Dash.

“No problem kid.” Rainbow Dash smiled.

The last gift was from the Young Six. The box had a flame drawing on one side, scales on a other side, an ocean on another side and dark green. They handed the gift to Austin to open.

“Here you go! This was from all of us. We hope you enjoy it.” Silverstream smiled.

Austin started to open the gift and he saw a picture of the Young Six and him in a group picture. The picture was already framed with a wooden frame.

“This was the time when we became friends. This was also a important moment for me since I made friends in school.” Austin said happily.

“Yeah we wanted to have a photo for you to have if we go our separate ways.” Ocellus smiled lightly.

“This is great! Thank you everyone.” Austin hugged the Young Six. He stopped the hugging and turned to everyone. “Thank you everyone for these gifts, but the best gift is having such a loving family and amazing friends.”

Everyone aww’d and went to Austin to give him a group hug, except for Gallus, Ember and Smolder. Austin returned the hug by stretching his arms around the group with his powers. After a few hours of playing and talking, everyone left for the night. Austin, Celestia, Luna and Wingdings stayed up for a bit, talking with each other, but Austin began to yawn a bit.

“It looks like our birthday boy is getting sleepy.” Luna giggled.

“Indeed sister, let’s bring you to bed now deary.” Celestia said softly.

“Okay momma Celestia.” Austin said sleepily. “Goodnight momma Luna.”

“Goodnight sweetie, sleep tight.”

Celestia levitated Austin on her back and started to walk to her bedroom. They got to her bedroom, opened the door and Celestia put Austin in her bed.

“Goodnight my birthday boy.” Celestia said softly.

“Goodnight momma. I love you.” Austin smiled.

“I love you too.” Celestia kissed Austin on the cheek. “Sweet dreams my dear. I will come to bed soon, I got to say goodnight to my sister.”

“Okay momma.”

“Have a good night sleep, honey.”

“Night momma.”

Celestia started to leave the room and Celestia closed the door. Austin put the dream catcher that Luna got on his side and shut his eyes and fell asleep.

*The Next Day*

It’s a sunny day with no clouds to be seen. Austin was sound asleep, but eventually he woke himself up. He stretch his arms and he heard a crack on one of them. Austin got out of the bed and got dressed. As he got his clothes on, he opened the door. As he walked out, he heard a crunch at his feet. He looked down and saw a envelope on the floor.

Huh a letter? I wonder who this could be? Austin said to himself.
