It was still the sunny day as our heroes encountered Team Rocket and met two new friends, Ash Ketchum and Dawn. To thank them for the rescue, they decided to prepare some food for them. As the Young Six and Wingdings got the table prepared, Ash and Austin were sitting on the grass. They didn’t speak for a few minutes, just awkward silence. Ash, broke the awkward silence and began to start a conversation.

“So… uh, your new to this Pokémon stuff, right?” Ash said to Austin.

“Yeah, we just started today.” Austin said to Austin.

“I remember having my first Pokémon,” Ash said as he pets his Pikachu. “Pikachu and I go anywhere, battle in sync, being good friends… but that wasn’t always like that.”

“What do you mean?” Austin asked confusedly.

“Me and Pikachu weren’t always friends, he wouldn’t listen to me, wouldn’t let me pet him or do anything with him. He even wouldn’t help me catch a Pidgey.”

“A Pidgey?” Austin asked confused. Austin search up the name and it showed a pictured of a Pidgey.

Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokémon,

Very docile. If attacked, it will often kick up sand to protect itself rather than fight back.

“I tried to catch a Pidgey without my pikachu, I almost caught it, but it got away. I got frustrated that Pikachu didn’t help me that I threw a rock at a Spearow, causing a horde to chase us.”

“A Spearow too?” Austin said as he searched up Spearow as well.

Spearow, the Tiny Bird Pokémon,

Inept at flying high. However, it can fly around very fast to protect its territory.

“The horde chased us and injured Pikachu. I decided to defend Pikachu and let the horde attack me. As the Spearows were launching at me, Pikachu jumped on my shoulder and used a thunder shock, hitting all the Spearows. Since that day, we have been best of friends ever since.” Ash said as he looked at Pikachu.

“Woah… that’s so COOL.” Austin said with sparkles in his eyes.

Ash chuckles “yeah that is pretty cool. What about you? What’s your story?”

“My story? Like what?” Austin asked.

“Well, maybe you can tell me about how you got to Equestria and how you did that thing you did earlier.”

“Well it’s a long story, I don’t think you would want to hear it all.”

“Nah its fine, besides I want to know you better.”

“And I also want to know as well.” Dawn said behind them. The two of them turned behind them and saw her behind them.

“How long have been there?” Ash asked.

“Long enough to hear your story.” Dawn said.

“So the whole time?”

“Yeah, pretty much,” Dawn sat down near Ash and Austin. “Anyways, continue.”

“Well since you two want to know, I must warn you it might get upset.” Austin frowned.

“I’m sure it won’t be that bad.” Dawn smiled.

“Alright then. It all started on Earth or here now. I was born with powers that no human has before. My powers were from a prophecy a long time ago.”

“A prophecy?” Ash asked.

“Yes, it was a prophecy saying that the child with an golden heart will destroy a evil Queen, a queen of shadows, Necrafa.”

“Woah that’s… so cool!” Ash said in awe.

“It’s not as cool as it seems Ash.” Austin frowned sadly.

“What do you mean?” Dawn asked.

“With powers comes responsibility, my father used to said to me, I always take my powers seriously when I was told to be the one to defeat the dark queen,” Austin’s eyes shifted to the ground. “But I was not strong enough to save my hometown. The queen appeared with her minions and some allies she had with her, they were called battle droids, or something like that.”

“Battle Droids?” Ash said confusedly.

“Wait a second…” Dawn thought about something. “I read something about them in the news, saying that these mechanical beings cause destruction where ever they go. The news also said that it… destroyed… a town…” Dawn realization kicked in and frowned sadly at Austin. “That was—“

“My home, yes,” Austin’s said sadly. “It was destroyed, along with everyone in my hometown, including my parents.”

“I’m sorry to hear that.” Ash said sadly.

“Yeah, me too.” Dawn responded sadly.

“Thank you guys, but I know their in a better place now,” Austin looked up at the sky and smiled. “Anyways, while the attack was happening, my parents told me to run as far as I can go, and so I did. It didn’t take long before those battle droids to spot me and chased me down. I didn’t know they were chasing me, until I heard the clanking from their feet. I ran and ran until I was at an edge of a cliff. I was going to turn around and go a different way, but those droids surrounded me. They told me to surrender quietly and they will deliver me to the queen. I had only two choices I had at the time, go with them or jump off the cliff.”

“Did you go with them?” Ash asked curiously.

“If I did, then I don’t think I would’ve meet you or my new home, instead you’ll be slaves to Queen Necrafa, so no I didn’t go with them.”

“So that means you—“ Dawn said before she was cut off.

“Jumped off the cliff, yes. It was my only way to escape, at least at the time. As I was falling, I thought of my parents and how I let them down. As I was heading for the cliff floor, a bright flash hit my eyes, causing me to faint. The next thing I know was me waking up to the sun beaming at me, I had to adjust me eyes and when I did, a white horse with a horn and wings was looking at me with wonder and worry. I panicked, I pushed myself away from it and formed a ball with my arms and legs, hoping it would go away. Instead it came over to me and started to apologize, saying that I fell from the sky and she saved me. She introduced herself, calling herself Princess Celestia.”

“Princess Celestia?” Ash said Curiously.

“A PRINCESS?!?” Dawn yelled excitedly, beaming at Austin with interested eyes

“Yep, she was the ruler of Equestria, a world filled with ponies, mules, donkeys and many other creatures, but no humans were present there. Eventually, I got comfortable with her, we’ve talked about ourselves and how I got here, but she didn’t know. My stomach was getting hungry and she invited me in her castle for lunch and —“

“A CASTLE?!?” Ash and Dawn yelled.

“Oh did I not mention that?”

“No!” Ash and Dawn said.

“Oh, well she has a castle. Anyways we had lunch and I met her sister, Princess Luna.”

“Another Princess?” The both of them said.

“Yeah, she’s the co ruler for Equestria. We talked and they decided that to let me stay with them for a while. I didn’t know where I was and I’m comfortable with those two, so I stayed. The next day, I met Celestia’s student and their friends, Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Twilight’s assistant Spike, Starlight Glimmer, and Tempest Shadow.”

“Those are weird names.” Ash said.

Dawn punched Ash’s arm. “Don’t be rude Ash.”

“It’s alright Dawn, I found the names weird too, but I got used to the names in time. Anyways, I talked with them and they decided to throw a party for me, as a welcome to Equestria party. They made the party and invited other ponies from nearby and from a village. Celestia announced to the ponies to make me feel welcomed, like I’m one of them, which they did that the party. By the end of the party, Celestia wanted to asked the crowd to say something to me. No one said anything, until a mare came out from the crowd, saying some mean things to me.”

“Why would they say mean things to you?” Ash and Dawn asked.

“It was because she was actually planning an invasion.”

“An invasion?” They both asked curiously and worriedly.

“Yes, the pony transformed into a large like bug pony with small like bug ponies transforming from the crowd and surrounded the big bug pony.”

“Who was this bug pony?” The two asked curiously.

“Chrysalis, queen of the Changelings, creatures that can turn into anything. Celestia tried to protect me and the others, but Chrysalis was too strong for her. I ran towards her and tried to defend her, to which she fired a magic blast from her horn.”

“Oh my!” Dawn said in horror.

“They thought I was dead, but I turned into a robot.”

“A robot?” The two questioned.

Austin was surrounded into a white fog and when the fog disappeared, a tall robot with no face appeared. Dawn jumped to the shear size of the robot, looking terrified, but Ash looked at Austin in awe. The white fog appeared again and consumed the robot and Austin reappeared.

“Woah!!” Ash said in awe.

“That was kinda scary.” Dawn said scaredly.

“Sorry about that Dawn and thank you Ash,” Austin said. “That was the creature that I used against Chrysalis. I defeated her easily, but I spared her life because I forgave her for hurting Celestia. She and her changelings left the castle and the party resumed. The next day, my brother decided to talk to me in my mind.” Austin said as he looked over at Wingdings.

“Talk to you in your mind?” The two said.

“Yes, he’s a shadow that can go inside my head and can have a physical body as well. So he wanted me to tell the ponies about my past, but I was scared to tell them, so he volunteered to tell them. So I introduced the ponies to my brother, Wingdings, to them and he explained my past to them, my birth, when I was told that i was part of some prophecy, and the attack of my hometown. After that, Twilight wanted to ask us some questions about my powers and Wingdings powers. On the night of that day when Twilight asked us questions, Celestia and I were having a midnight chat, talking about how I was bad luck when it comes to friends and Celestia wanted to be a mother, but couldn’t because of a miscarriage. That’s when I realized that I can have a new family there. I then went to a little town called Ponyville, but their was creatures called Ursa Minor and Ursa Major. I had to save the village and so I had to scare them away from the village, so that’s what I did. Then I met my parents friends, skeletons that are alive. They are called Papyrus, Sans, he’s the one I rescued those Pokémon, and Gaster, their dad. When Gaster didn’t realize that we weren’t training to battle queen Necrafa, he trained me, but in the wrong way.”

“The wrong way?” The two asked curiously.

“Yes, Gaster trained his sons with violence or abuse but it’s not like abuse, which made them what they are today, but it didn’t work for me. It instead, made my soul grew cold.”

“Your soul?” The two asked again.

Austin nodded and his soul appeared in front of his chest. His soul was golden yellow with sparkles coming from it. Ash and Dawn looked in awe. Austin’s soul then disappeared back to his chest.

“Woah!” The two said in awe.

Austin chuckled. “Yeah that is my soul. When I was beginning my training, I had to meditate with Gaster hitting me with a bone. When I was meditating, I was in the dark room and I saw my soul. I got close to my soul, but it wrapped itself with chains and I woke up. After that event, a shadowy version of myself appeared and shown me the “truth” of the ponies plan with me. He said that after I destroy Necrafa, they would get rid of me. So I believed him for a while, but I still didn’t think that they would do such a thing. Shadow Austin, a name I gave him, grew more powerful when I soul was become dark. In order for him to get more powerful, he had to target the people I cared. The first one was my brother Wingdings, giving him a virus that shut down his whole body and putting him a coma. Then he started to attack the citizens with my own powers to make them hate me. When he succeeded in that, he then made me attack my friends.”

“That’s awful!” They both said sadly.

“Yeah, but to keep the ending short and sweet, I defeated my shadowy version of myself and defeated queen Necrafa, with help from my friends of course. Just when everything was over, my parents, as spirits, appeared in front of me and my friends, saying that they are proud of me and to always do the right thing. They also said to Celestia and my friends to take good care of me. After they were about to go, I gave them one last hug. He hugged for a good 10 seconds before they disappeared in thin air.” Austin finished with tears going down his cheek.

Austin heard sniffling and he looked at Dawn. Her eyes were red and tears coming down her cheek as well. She sniffled again and gave Austin a bear hug.

“Oh Austin, I’m so sorry that happened to you! You must be taking all of this in still.” Dawn said sadly.

“Pika pi.” Ash’s Pikachu said sadly as well.

“That’s a lot to take in.” Ash said with a frown on his face.

“Yes, even after an year has passed, I still have night terrors from what has happened to me. When I received a letter from professor Oak, I would feel better.”

“You got a letter from Professor Oak?” The two said.

“Yeah.” Austin replied back.

“That’s pretty cool.” Dawn said.

“Yeah, hey I know what we can do.” Ash said

Hmm?” Austin asked curiously.

“When I’m stressed, I always have a battle with my Pokémon.”

“Okay?”

“Do you want to have a Pokémon battle with me?”

“A Pokémon battle?”

“It’s where you and you’re Pokémon fight for fun.”

“Should we wait until we eat first?” Dawn asked the two.

“I don’t mind if we did a quick Pokémon battle.” Austin said.

“Awesome!” Ash said excitedly.

“Hey Piplup!” Austin shouted to Piplup.

“Pip?” Piplup looked at Austin confusedly and walked over to Austin.

“Would you like a Pokémon battle with Ash?” Austin asked Piplup.

“Piplup!” Piplup said with an excited but also serious expression.

“Great! Let’s go!” Ash said excitedly.

Ash ran to an open field that isn’t far from where they are now, Dawn, Austin and Piplup following behind.

“So let me get this straight.” A voice said.

Jessie, James and Meowth were standing near an box with an screen emitting from it.

“You found a child… that can shapeshift?” The voice questioned the three.

“Yes sir. We believe that it might be a Pokémon disguised as a human child.” Jessie said.

“And it can be an new Pokémon at your disposal sir.” Meowth said to the voice.

“Hmmm…” the voice thought to itself. “Very well, capture the child and bring it to me, ALIVE. Even if this child is a Pokémon or not, it could be what Team Rocket has been lacking, unpredictable actions. Now, find this child-Pokémon, and you’ll be rewarded.” The voice said as the screen disappeared.

When the screen disappeared, the three of them squealed with excitement.

“Ohhh! If we get this child-Pokémon, we will impress the boss for sure!” Jessie said excitedly.

“And while we’re at it we will grab Pikachu while we’re at it too.” James said excitedly too.

“And grab the strongest Sinnoh Pokémon this region can offer.” Meowth said excitedly as well.

The three of them laugh hysterically.

“Now let’s find these twerps!” Jessie said as she threw her arm in the air.

“Yeah!” James and Meowth said as they did the same.

“Wobbuffet!”
