Chapter 1: Meeting the Pink Pony of Parties

After minutes of figuring out each other's system and sorting through the many things they’ve learned, they begin to head closer and closer to Ponyville. Noel’s steps started to slow down as he had a very crucial thought on his mind. “Hey uh.. Sam? Before we go any further, could we make a bonfire real quick? I don’t know where I’ll wake up if I die without one,” Noel said nervously.

Sam nodded as she took a step back, looking for good material for him to use as kindling for the bonfire thing he needed. Noel helped out by collecting bits and pieces of wood, taking it to place in a pile where the ground had the least green, Noel also started collecting fairly sized rocks to place in a ring around the pile. With enough collected pieces of kindling, Noel takes out the firelink sword, slowly pushing it into the center.

Bonfire Lit.

“...That actually worked?” Noel said in surprise as he felt his mp restore to full. “Whoa, t-that feels rather nice,” Noel said as the feeling of safety washed over his mind. Noel sat down at the bonfire, feeling very comforting near its flames. Holding his hand out toward the sword’s handle, a menu popped up in the same Dark Fantasy themed menu, soon selecting [Soul Transposition] to look at what could be made with the goblin’s soul.

Soul Of Goblin

Goblin Gauntlet: A goblin themed gauntlet that allows you to punch harder than normal. Weapon Art: Goblin Punch - random damage dealing punch.

Counter: A Ring that allows Counter reaction if the user uses Guard command for one turn.

Weapon Def+: A ring that improves weapon damage…?

"So? Anything good?" Sam asked as she stood over his shoulder, trying to read the gibberish text. Noel then proceeded to explain to Sam what was told to him.

"Wait, seriously? Get the gauntlets! That'll let you do some damage on a no fire damage day!" Sam said, giddy to help him out.

“But I can only select one of the three. We would need to hunt down more Goblins if you want the other two choices.” Noel explained to Sam, smiling at her giddiness. The smile faded when she mentioned a no fire damage day. “A what now?” Noel asked with minor confusion.

"Erm… Y-yeah… In the game, laws change each day… Not sure how it works here in Equis, but I'm gonna go with the benefit of the doubt and say it's not that different… So it would be best if you had something like those gauntlets, that way you can keep hitting them," Sam explained.
Noel throws the soul in, causing the bonfire to burn brightly; soon throwing out a pair of gauntlets out that looked like two armored fists in the same color as the goblin they defeated.

Obtained Goblin Gauntlets.

“So, does this mean you’re gonna wreck it?” Noel asked jokingly, earning him a soft punch on the shoulder.

She giggled faintly after she punched him, turning her gaze to the town bustling with… Satyrs? Wait, no… they're anthro ponies. And a certain pink one was charging at them head first with a giant smile on her face. Noel looked at Sam, then looked behind him thinking the pink pony was running to someone else.

"Brace for impact from the Pink Pony of Parties?" Sam asked, already knowing the answer as she watched Pinkie eat the distance between them.

“Sorry, who? it's been too long since I watched-” Noel paused as he watched the anthro pony hop in place toward them. “-it...”

"Brace yourself, Noel!" Sam shouted as she prepared to slow Pinkie down as she leapt to tackle hug the duo of new faces in Ponyville. Before Noel could ask why, he was forced to fall backwards with a loud thud.

"HiI'mPinkiePie,butI'mprettysureyoualreadyknewthat, sowelcometoPonyvilleandwhyareyouguyssolowlevel?" Pinkie spouted, saying everything in one big breath as she practically strangled them with the hug.

"P-Pinkie! A-Air!" Sam gasped out, barely able to do so through the vice grip the pink pony had on them.

“Personal space!” Noel said as he flailed around to try and break free of Pinkie’s iron hug. Lucky for him, his armor was preventing Pinkie from taking his air.

"Oh! Oopsie!" Pinkie said as she got off them with a giggle. She started to rock back and forth on her hooves, still keeping that goofy grin plastered on her face. Sam gulped the life giving gas in big wheezes as she coughed and stood back up.

Noel blinked as he looked over at Sam, then back at Pinkie. “...You’re not surprised she knew about you?” He asked.

"Nuh-uh, silly fil- billy! You two aren't from around here, which is why I wanted to meet you outside of town! And to help the other ponies not panic thinking you guys are big mean monsters from the Everfree Jagd!" Pinkie explained, pointing back at the forest they came from.

"So it was a Jagd… Explains the lack of a Judge unit…" Sam said as she finally managed to catch her breath.

“How can we be monsters? I mean, we’re the same shape as you,” Noel asked in confusion, Sam having a similar thought cross her mind.

"Doppelgangers. And Mimics. And you two have feet, not hooves," Pinkie said as she pointed at their feet.

Noel looked down for a brief moment. “...You either have a keen eye, or there’s some sort of magic going on you’ve got I don’t know about,” Noel asked with distrust in his voice.

"A little from option one, a pinch from column b, and a dash from the Void~," Pinkie said in a sing-song voice.

"Meaning 'It's Pinkie, don't question it'," Sam translated.

“Now hold up, the Void?” Noel asked despite Sam’s suggestion.

"I got this one, Pinks. The Void is the space between Here and There. Multiple dimensions exist in that Void, meaning different timelines, different existences, things like that. Seriously, did you ever read a single one of those Displaced stories I threw at your email…?" Sam asked after she gave an extremely condensed explanation that didn't hurt her own head trying to think about it.

“Hey, I had to ask in case she meant something else,” Noel said as he gave Sam a frown.

Sam opened her mouth to argue, paused as she thought about it for a second, then turned away with a huff as she blushed in embarrassment. Pinkie giggled a little, then turned around and motioned for them to follow her as she set off back into town, skipping as she hummed a little upbeat tune to herself. Noel and Sam followed behind as Noel moved over to Sam. “So... Does this mean we can also do all of that stuff? You know, tokens, summoning displaced, being summoned by displaced, and the endless multiverse, all that jazz?” Noel asked with a mixture of fear, nervousness, and anxiety in his voice.

"Well, if it does, then yes. We can. But we're going to have to come to an agreement about the token situation," Sam said, still blushing faintly.

“I’m not looking forward to it, is there even a way to stop tokens from arriving here though?” Noel asked with hope.

"Not as far as I know… There was one story where Tia and Lulu petrified a Herobrine, and the tokens just kept coming and arriving at the base of his statue," she replied.

“So in short, they’re like red phantoms, except they leave a hundred soul signs all over the place rather than invade,” Noel said with a sigh.

“Hey, now, they’re not all evil psychopaths! Just Herobrine and a small handful in that particular corner! Plus, we have to summon them here in the first place, they can’t invade like in DS3,” Sam countered.

“They might!” Noel countered Sam's counter.

“And if they do, they’d have to play by our world's rules, and wait their turn while we curb stomp them,” she reminded him.

“...That’s true since this world tried its best to change my dark souls self to fit in.” Noel pointed out.

“Hey, why are you two moving so slow?” Pinkie called out, already down the street and turning a corner.

“Just some idle chatter is all, Pinkie.” Noel yelled out in return.

“Well hurry up~! I already got the party ready~!” Pinkie called out, giggling as she ran off down the street towards a tree with a balcony in the branches.

“Huh… Still has the tree?” Sam said, slightly confused.

“Party?” Noel said, adding his own confusion.

“Five bucks says she has the wings,” Sam joked as she kept going forward, albeit cautiously.

“Hey, that’s not fair, I have gotten that far yet,” Noel said with a disapproving frown as Sam winced, unknowingly spoiling it.

“Uh… Oops…?”

“Very oops,” Noel said as he gave a soft boop on her noggin, running past her. Sam huffed as she rubbed where he bopped her, then smiled and ran after him, quickly overtaking him. Despite having a different body, Noel still ran the same speed as he did before, however he appeared to have a lot more stamina than before.

Upon reaching an easily recognized gingerbread house, Sam came to a grinding halt just outside, panting madly as she looked at Noel with a smile. “Ready to meet the cast then?”

“Ready as I’ll ever be in this crazy world,” Noel said with a smile, trying to at least see any form of positive.
