MLP EG: A hero rises
Kidnapped
Previous ChapterNext ChapterSpike began to regain consciousness but his vision was still blurry. "Ughhh," he groaned. His side still a little painful, he slowly got up. "Starlight?" He began to search around, then he remembered. "Starlight!" He shouted desperately. Just then, the front door opened to reveal Sunset. She immediately recognized something was wrong...something very wrong. She looked down at Spike.
"Spike? Where is Starlight?" She asked beginning to grow more concerned.
"They took her!" he said just as panicked as Sunset.
"Who?!" Rarity asked. "Maybe we can try and call her!" she suggested.
"I don't know!" Spike responded. "Wait! I think I overheard someone say his name was Chance or something!"
"So it was him!" AJ snarled. Spike looked confused. "Wait you know him?"
"Yeah! He's the one who's trying to capture him!" Rainbow answered.
"Wait who is "him"? Spike asked looking around. It was then he noticed a young child.
"wow, a talking dog," the child mused. "Name's Berry by the way, and I heard you're name was Spike?"
Spike nodded. "Why are you being tracked down?" Spike asked.
"we don't have much time. So I'll explain it quickly. I have powers, Chance wants to capture me and possibly exploit on it," Berry replied.
"Do you have any idea where they might have taken her?" Fluttershy asked. Berry nodded.
"Yes...I think I know where," After they all ran back into the car, Berry began to give directions on where to go.
Starlight found herself tied in a chair. It seemed like she was in some type of cell. Somewhere in a building or facility. The cell door opened and in walked Chance. He walked right over to Starlight. "I'm not going to waste any time," he began speaking. "I am aware that you are friends with 7 girls?" He listed them all. "Is that true?"
"Yes..." Starlight replied. "What do you want?" Chance began to laugh a little. "Well I don't know if it came to your knowledge but they seem to be harboring a dangerous human," he informed her. from his phone he took out a photo and Starlight saw a young boy on it. "This is the child we need. So you can help us." A sinister grin began to spread across his face as he took out a death ray and pointed it at Starlight's head. The girl began to whimper softly. "Or if you refuse not to, you might not live to see the next day," He told her coldly. His phone rang again. Chance answered it.
"Chance speaking," Starlight couldn't hear who was on the other side. Whoever it was seemed to be the one giving Chance orders.
"Yes," he finally said. "I'll make sure you'll have that boy, trust me." "The other girls? I know,, I've already sent two of men to kill them. He hung up.
"Who was that?" Starlight asked hoping to buy some time.
"That's non of your concern," Chance told her. "At least not right now. Now I would love to stay here and chat all day but I got a job to do...so you'll be here until you make up your mind. If I were you, I'd choose the first option." He left without saying another word.
"HEY! GET BACK HERE!" Starlight screamed, chance ignored her and closed the cell door followed by a locking noise. She then remembered she still had her phone. Maybe she can call for help. But the problem was that her hands were tied to her sides. Chance seemed to notice what she was trying to do because he said, "Good luck trying to call for help, and even if you somehow do manage to with the way you're tied up, we'll be ready for them when they do come," he said in a cold voice. "Besides, I've already got them on a hitlist." He began to laugh cruelly. He turned around and left. He addressed his crew. "Keep a lookout for any cars that might be heading our way," he ordered. He whistled and a falcon came swooping down landing on his shoulder. Starlight watched. Was he talking to the falcon? "I need you to also keep a look out. And report to me when they are here."
Word going around about missing children had gone viral around the city of Canterlot. Headlines such as "Kids mysteriously vanish," "Children gone missing," and "Possible Kidnapping? Children suddenly vanish," have surfaced on the internet. Although mostly young children, older teens and even adults have gone missing as well.
"Don't worry everyone," Rose had told a crowd that had gathered during one of her speeches. "I am very well aware what is happening right now. We are trying our best to solve this mystery." There was one speculation though. Many parents think that a place had something to do with their kids being missing. It was a facility where parents were told that their kids would spend quite awhile in. No one knew what for, they were only informed it was for the child's benefit. But after a month, things started to seem very wrong.
"Do you know where my child could be?" A woman asked now worried.
"Like I said, you have nothing to worry about. We are currently trying to solve this problem. Just don't give up, ok?" Rose assured the woman with a smile.
"I think that's enough for now." Rose said as she began to end her speech session. "Thank you all for coming. We will continue through this tomorrow." She quickly turned around, got back in her car and drove off."
"Do you remember where you escaped from?" Fluttershy asked Berry who was looking out the window. He nodded. "Turn left here" he said. Sunset made a left turn. They continued to go down the road. "Right there!" Berry pointed out. It was a facility building. Nearly impossible to miss. "Wow! I have never seen anything like it!" Pinkie gasped. "You sure this is the place?" Twilight asked.
"I think so..." Berry said, They pulled to a stop and stepped out of the car. The first thing they noticed was that the front was being guarded. Chance had been watching via security camera the entire time. Looks like they did came, he thought to himself. He went outside to confront the Mane 7.
"There's gotta be a way in!" Rainbow said trying to look for another entrance.
"Sorry, but the only way is through the front," Berry said. He was unsure how they were going to sneak in.
"I just knew you all would come." Chance had just stepped outside. He was wearing a white t-shirt, jeans and had a pair of aviator shades on.
"Give us Starlight!" Rarity shouted. Chance snickered and laughed cruelly. "Sure, I'll happily give you, Starlight. Just give me the child and we can call it good."
"No, you give us Starlight and get out of our sight," Applejack growled. She started to crack her knuckles. Chance chuckled. "I don't think you heard what I said," he began.
"I am about to make you wish you weren't even alive!" Applejack screamed. Chance only laughed.
"You know, you wouldn't be acting all big and tough if it weren't for your powers. Admit it. You're nothing without them." Applejack fell silent.
"Silent now, huh?" Chance taunted. "Sorry, I just gotta hit you with the reality check." He then pulled out a death ray. And pointed the gun towards the girls. "Now would you like to say you're goodbyes first?"
"No," Twilight said. She smugged.
"What?" Chance asked a hint of anger in his voice.
Chance was suddenly knocked out from behind. He fell over unconcious. Rainbow was behind him with a crowbar in her hands. The guards immediately turned thier direction and pointed thier weapons towards them.
"Don't move!"
They commanded. Berry suddenly raised his hands and the two men infront of him looked like they had been shot out of a catapult. They crashed through the building with a huge noise. The other guards then opened fire. Rarity put up a shield to protect her and her friends from being shot.
"I don't know how long I can keep it up!" Rarity shouted worried now because the crystal forcefield was beginning to give way.
"I can deal with them!" AJ answered. Rarity let her out. As soon as she did, AJ took out her lasso and threw it at one of the guards feet, effectivley tying him. Then she swung and knocked down the guards to the side. Then she started to run towards one of the cars, whilst dodging the lazers.
"Get out the way!" She shouted to her friends. They instantly moved out of the way as she picked up a car and chucked it at her enemies. It was an effective blow.
"This way!" Berey motioned for the girls to come into the building.
"Hang on, Starlight! We're coming!" Pinkie yelled as she followed her friends inside.
Inside the building was a somewhat long hallway. On either side of the hall were cell like rooms. But they were not empty. Inside the cells were occupants. Some were very young children, while others were older like teens and even adults. Berry felt uncomfortable walking through the hallway. He also remembered this is where his friends are trapped too.
"Starlight can be anywhere," Berry said. As he followed the girls he saw something...or someone in the corner of his eye. He wasn't quite sure if he was seeing things. Maybe just one check. He thought to himself. He quickly went back to the is cell where he thought he saw someone.
"Hello?" He asked. He peeked inside and couldn't believe who he saw. It was another boy his age. Blonde hair, blue t shirt and jeans. He looked like he was bored out of his mind.
"D-Des?!" Berry said with excitement. If Des was here his other friends might be nearby somewhere! Des just noticed Berry on the other side of the cell door. His expression mirroring Berry's. "Wait Berry?!" He asked in shock. His voice made it sound like he was much younger than his age. "Oh my God, you came back!" He was ecstatic to see his friend.
"Listen ima help you and the others escape okay?" Berry informed. "I just need to find a key somewhere." He began to see where he could get one when he realized...that the girls had left him behind. He began to get worried. He couldn't shout for them. He would give himself away. And even with his powers, he knew it would only help him for so long.
"Something wrong?" Des asked.
"No no I'm fine." Berry reassured. "I'll try to be back as soon as I can once I get the key." He quitley but quickly brisked through the hallway hoping he wouldn't get caught. He was approaching a corner when he heard a horribly familiar voice. Chance. It sounded like he was talking on the phone. Berry decided to take a quick peek to be sure. He was right. But not only Chance but he had two henchman.
"It seems like they've gotten away," He said. Berry slowly creeper up closer to get a better hear.
"The last thing I remember is seeing the boy before those pathetic girls knocked me out," Chance continued. Berry had trouble hearing who was on the other line, but one things for sure. Whoever it was also wanted him.
"Understood. I already have her tied up." Chance finished as he hung up. He whistled and a falcon landed in front of him. It looked up.
"Find the boy for me, and tell me exactly where he's at," he said. The falcon obeyed and flew off. He entered another room and closed the door behind him.
Berry gasped in horror. I have to warn them!
