Ponyville 11:00am

It is a bright and sunny day in Ponyville. The ponies and changelings of the town were seen happily having a chat with each other as well as working like they always do in their daily lives. The young foals and drones on the other hand were having a gaiety time on playing with each other because, today is the start of their summer holidays!

This means lots of fun, lots of ice cream, lots of cold drinks and many more.

In King Thorax, Queen Twilight Sparkle, Princess Twirax and Prince Alistair's castle, the eight years old Princess Twirax of the changeling Kingdom and friendship, was seen packing some food and drinks in a large picnic basket in her bedroom because, today is going to be a picnic day with her family! This was a reward for them because of their phenomenal work at school. Her friends Viper, Screwball and Precious were out somewhere else with her uncle's Indominus, Tyrannosaurus, Discord and aunts.

Twirax and Alistair have both passed their exams at school and have both gotten straight A pluses on their report cards which made their parents extremely proud of them both.

"Okay just the sandwich and done!" Twirax said as she placed the sandwich and closed the lid of the picnic basket. "Alrighty! I'm now ready to go to the picnic!" She exclaimed happily. However, a thought stopped her.

"I wonder how my little brother's doing?" Twirax asked herself with a perplexed expression "I guess I'll see in his room." She told herself.

So, Twirax stood up, picked up her basket and turned around to face her bedroom door. She then walked up to it, gripped onto the door handle with her magic and pulled it open. After that, she exited her bedroom closing the door behind her in the process. Finally, she made a right turn and began to make her way to her little brother's bedroom.

In Alistair's bedroom, the young five years old alicorn hybrid Prince was seen holding a yellow coloured bouncy ball with a blue line around it with his magic in front of his pet tegu Vector, he was also seen blindfolded.

"Alright Vector so you see this bouncy ball with a diameter of six centimeters here?" Alistair asked "I'm gonna challenge myself by throwing it backwards to hopefully hit the wall above my bedroom door, bounce off it and goes into the hoop." He told him. After taht, he began to ready himself by getting into a stance.

"Okay, one... two... three!" Alistair exclaimed as he threw the bounce ball back. Then, it began to fly back towards his bedroom door, however, it only reached a couple of feet in the air and began to fall to his door.

"Oh Alistair." Twirax said as she opened the door "Are you-"

Twirax wasn't able to finish her sentence when a bounce ball collided into her face.

"Oooof!" Twirax grunted as she fell onto the floor on her back. However, the ball managed to fly back up a few feet and it began to make its way to the toy basketball stand at the end of the room. Five seconds later, it fell into the hoop.

Alistair took off the blindfold from his eyes and looked forward to see if he succeeded or not. When he did, he saw the basketball was underneath the hoop which indicates that he has done it.

"Woohoo! I did it!" Alistair exclaimed as he threw his hooves up in the air.

"Alistair!"

Alistair turned around and saw his big sister Twirax getting up from the floor and walking up to him. He looked at her face and saw a red mark on it, he must assume that he has inadvertently hit her with the bounce ball.

"Oh, sorry Twirax, I was just doing a little challenge that can ameliorate my magical abilities." He told her with a mortified expression.

"Its okay buddy." Twirax assured him as she patted him on the head "So, have you prepared everything for th picnic?" She asked.

"I sure did!" Alistair replied with a smile. He then turned around and levitated a large bag in front of him. After that, he brought it in front of his sister.

"Can I see what's inside of it?"

"Sure." Alistair said as he pulled the zippers of the bag.

Twirax looked in the bag and saw lots of chemistry based books in it which made her eyes widen.

"I packed a lot of chemistry based books as well as some snacks and drinks for our picnic as well as some lizard foods for Vector." Alistair told her.

"No no no." Twirax said as she grabbed his bag "This is suppost to be a fun family day out, not family education day." She told him as she grabbed the books out of his bag. After that, she placed them back in his bookshelf with her magic.

"Hey, I wanted to read those." Alistair whined.

"I love books too but, today's our picnic day remember?" Twirax asked "And we're suppost to rest after our remarkable exam results in school so, do you think that you can do that for me please?" She asked again kindly.

Alistair then began to ponder about this for a bit. Although he does loves to read books like his parents do and chemistry is his favourite science but, he does agree that he needs some time to relax.

"Okay Twirax, I can relieve my thoughts on education."

"That's my sweet little brother." Twirax said as she pulled her brother in for a hug, and Alistair hugged back.

"Twirax! Alistair! Are you two done yet?" Twilight called from downstairs.

"Yeah mom we'll be down in a second!" Twirax called back. After that, she released Alistair and looked down at him with a smile "Okay, I guess it's time for us to go then Alistair." She told him.

"Mhmm." Alistair said with a nod. Then, he loomed back at his roommate, friend and assistance "Come on Vector, it's time to go to the picnic." He told him.

Then, Twirax and Alistair both faced the front door of the room and began to walk towards it with Vector slowly following up from behind. Once they got to it, they exited the room along with the tegu, and Alistair closed the door from behind. Finally, the hybrid sibilings and the reptile all began making their way to the staircase of the castle that would lead them to the first floor of their house.

King Thorax and Queen Twilight Sparkle were seen standing next to each other in front of the living room doors, and the changeling and friendship King was seen carrying a large bag and a picnic mat while the alicorn was not holding anything.

"Thory, are you sure you're okay with carrying those?" Twilight asked with a concerned expression "There are a lot of things inside of that bag." She told him.

"Its okay Twinkle's, I can manage it, I'm quite strong." Thorax assured her "After all, I wouldn't want to make my beautiful wife to carry these cumbersome stuffs." He told her in a loyal voice.

Twilight couldn't help but squeal in merriment from that humble and kind compliment from her husband. Therefore, she decided to reward him with a kiss to his right cheek, and that made Thorax's cheeks flush. Five seconds later, Twilight released herself from the kiss with a puckering sound.

"You're always the best husband I could ever ask for Thorax." She told him.

"And you're always the best wife and pony I could've ever met." He told her.

Twilight was going to hug her husband but then, some hoofsteps noises stopped her. The couple looked to the stairs and saw their children Twirax and Alistair along with their son's friend Vector coming down from the stairs.

"Oh hello you guys." Twilight greeted them with a smile.

"Hello mommy, hello daddy." Twirax and Alistair both greeted in unison, Vector had to stick his tongue out to say 'hello'.

"I can see that you two have prepared." Thorax said with a proud expression at his children.

"Indeed we have daddy, and it's unfortunate that aunt Starlight cannot attend." Alistair said with a depressed expression.

"Yeah I know." Thorax said scratching the back of his head "But, she says that she has to help aunt Trixie with some stuffs." He told them.

"Yeah that's right." Twilight said in a low tone "We'll anyways, let's put this all aside. Who's ready to go on a summer picnic?" She asked.

"We are!" Twirax and Alistair both replied in unison with exhilarated expressions.

"Well what are waiting for then?" Thorax asked "Lets have a wonderful family picnic day!" He exclaimed contentedly.

Twilight, Twirax and Alistair all jumped up in joy and the family all began to make their way to the staircase of their house in kder to get to the front doors with Vector crawling up from behind.

Ponyville Lake

Thorax, Twilight, Twirax, Alistair and Vector have all arrived at their picnic destination aka Ponyville Lake after a twenty minutes walk from home. During their walk, their ponies and changeling subjects from town happily greeted them which they happily returned the gesture by waving back. However, when Alistair waved back, he noticed many fillies and young female drones were waving at him in a different way, they were also seen blushing at him too. Alistair was a bit aggravated by this due to him not wanting to attract too much attention from fillies and female drones, he just wants somepony to love him for who he is not because of what he has, his big sister Twirax has a special somepony who loves her just the way she is which is good. At the same time, he does have a crush on one filly.

Once the family was in Ponyville Lake, they all made their way up the hill and Thorax and Twilight both set up the picnic mat while the kids set up the food they brought. After a minute, everything has been accomplished! Then, the family all began to eat while sitting under a tree.

"Mmm, now this is bliss." Thorax said with a smile.

"Indeed father." Alistair said munching on his salad while Vector munched onto his lizard food next to him.

"This day is starting out pretty good guys." Twirax told them with a smile while drinking apple juice.

"Glad to hear it Twirax." Twilight said with a smile as she chowed onto an apple.

After having a scrumptious feast for seven minutes, the family were finished in eating everything they have brought except for some drinks. Then, Twirax thinks that it's a good idea to do some exercise to get rid of the fats in their belly. Therefore, she suggested to play with the bouncy ball with Alistair which he joyously agreed to, but before that, they decided to be responsible by picking up a few wraps, bags and eaten fruits and teleporting them into garbage bins. After that, they began to play. However, Twilight has decided to put on some sunscreen on her son.

"Mom." Alistair said slightly annoyed.

"Honey, you need some sun protection if you want to be a guardian to our subjects." Twilight cooed "Even Twirax takes sunscreen." She told him.

"Okay mommy." Alistair agreed, after all, getting a sunburn would be very unpleasant due to him going to receive red, painful and itchy skins that are painful to touch.

"That's my son." Twilight said stroking his head.

After Twilight finished rubbing some sunscreen on his torso, she was all done.

"Alright, you're free to go."

"Thank you mommy." Alistair said nuzzling his mother, and Twilight nuzzled back.

After that, Twirax and Alistair both ran down the hill to the grass area of Ponyville Lake while their parents relax with each other while leaning against a tree, and Vector sunbathes for Vitamin D.

Once Twirax and Alistair both made it down the hill, they commenced their activity of playing with the bounce ball. So, Twirax walked thirty centimeters away from her little brother with his bounce ball in her hooves.

"Alright Alistair I'm about to throw the ball." Twirax told him, and Alistair responded with a nod "Okay catch!" She exclaimed as she threw the ball upwards and towards her baby brother.

Alistair calculated the height and angle of the ball with some basic mathematics based on area and angle topics. After five seconds, he jumped up and bumped the ball up in the air, he has successfully timed it.

"Very well Alistair." Twirax commented with an impressed expression.

Once the ball made it back to her, she got into a position with her hooves folded, after that, she dug the ball back to her little brother, but the hit was a bit too hard.

Alistair's eyes widened when he noticed the ball flying towards him in a hasty way, the kinetic force that her sister gave it must've been pretty strong. There was no time for him to calculate with mathematics so therefore, he just jumped up and hit the ball with his head as strong as he could.

The his head made contact with the ball, it eventually was proven to be too strong and the ball flew up in the air a bit too high. It flew past Twirax and landed in the bushes behind her.

"Oh sorry." Alistair apologized.

"Its okay Alistair, that was quite strong." Twirax said with an astonished expression. "You wait right here, I'll go get it." She told him. After that, she turned around and began to go look for the ball.

"Okay, I guess I'll have to wait." Alistair told himself.

"Alistair?"

Alistair's eyes widened when he heard the familiar voice, he turned around and saw the beautiful filly Bright Light walking towards him. His cheeks flushed slightly too.

At the bushes where Twirax was, the young Princess was seen looking for the bounce ball that flew over here. And when she looked down to her left, she has finally found it.

"There you are." Twirax said with a smile. She then walked up to it and picked it up with her hooves. "Alright, time to go back to Alistair." She told herself.

But, just as she turned around, she heard a conversation going on.

"What's that noise?" Twirax asked herself with a bewildered expression.

She then decided to investigate, so, she walked up to the bushes in front of her that she came in from and slowly pushed them aside so that she could see, and when she did, she saw her little brother in front of her talking to the little filly Bright Light.

On top of the hill, Thorax and Twilight were seen having a joyful conversation about how wonderful their lives are going right now with their children and friends.

"Remember the time I sang to you Twinkle's?"

"Indeed I do Thory, you certainly captured my heart during that moment."

"I'm glad I did my Queen." Thorax said as he stroked her hair. After that, he leaned it and prepared to kiss her with his eyes closed.

Twilight was going to do the same but suddenly, some noises stopped her. She turned her head and looked down and saw her son holding hooves with the little filly that she encountered during the Nightmare Night party.

"That's my little brother!" Twirax exclaimed as she rushed out of the bushes.

"That's my son!" Twilight exclaimed as she stood up knocking over Thorax in the process.

"Oooof!" Throax grunted as he fell on the grass.

After that, the two alicorns both began to rush towards Alistair from their places taht they were currently in.

Alistair and Bright Light both flinched from the tumoltuous yell. Alistair looked to his left and saw his mother charging down towards him with a desperate expression, while he heard Twirax coming up from behind. The young Prince wasn't able to open his mouth when Twilight placed a hoof between the two of them and pushed the filly away from her son with Twirax pulling him back to her.

"Keep your distance from my son understood?" Twilight asked glaring at the filly.

"Y-yes Queen Twilight." Bright Light replied while trembling in fear.

Alistair wanted to talk his mother and sister out and leave Bright Light alone but suddenly, a black coloured stallion and bright pink mare unicorns both walked up to their daughter, those two ponies are known as the parents of Bright Light.

"Queen Twilight please step away from my daughter." The stallion told her sternly as he stood in front of his daughter.

"Oh please sir, it's your daughter who started this in the first place!" She exclaimed "She held hooves with my son!" She told him.

"You didn't have to criticize my sweetheart that badly!" The mare exclaimed furiously "It was unnecessary!" She finished.

"Oh yeah?" Twirax asked as she walked up to the two unicorns. "Well let me tell you this ma'am, your daughter struck up a conversation with my little brother first!" She told them.

Then, a controversy began to erupt between them all. Alistair wanted to intervene and stop their falling out but, his voice was too low to be heard. Five seconds later, a loud shout was heard.

"ENOUGH!"

The alicorns and the unicorns all flinched from the ear-splitting shout. They all turned to the source of the noise and saw King Thorax walking down the hill with an enraged expression on him with Vector crawling up to Alistair in the process. He has also packed the picnic mat, baskets and bag too.

"Thory, that little filly was trying to make a move on our son again." Twilight told him.

"Enough Twilight." Thorax told her sternly.

"King Thorax, forgive us for our behaviour to your wife and daughter but, them criticizing our daughter for a small thing was absolutely unnecessary." The stallion told him "I hope you'll understand." He said.

"I understand sir." Thorax told him with a nod "You're free to go." He added.

"Thank you your highness." The stallion thanked with a bow of his head. After taht, he turned around and began to make his way home with his wife and daughter.

Once Thorax had settled that, he turned to look at his wife and kids.

"Lets go home."

Twilight, Twirax and Alistair all nodded in unison and all of them began to head back home. Alistair turned his head to look back at Bright Light one more time and saw that she is walking away with his parents with her head down in sadness. The sight has made him disconsolate too.

After a twenty minutes walk from Ponyville Lake, Thorax, Twilight, Twirax and Alistair have all made it back home. Thorax told his kids to go back to their rooms and rest while he told his wife Twilight that he wants to have a conversation with her. All of them agreed to it and the kids began to return to their rooms with Vector following Alistair from behind, then Thorax and Twilight both began to head to the living room.

Once the couple have made it to the living room, Thorax pulled the doors opened with his magic and stepped aside allowing his wife to go through which she did, then, she took a seat on her chair near the large dinning table.

Thorax entered the room after her and teleported the bag, basket and picnic mat into the storage room. After that, he walked up to the dinning table and sat on his chair next to his wife.

"Twinkle's, what I saw back there was impermissible." He told her sternly "You cannot just argue with our subjects like that without discovering the truth first." He finished.

"I know but, that little filly was trying to make a move on our son!" She exclaimed "And he is still too young to find love! In addition to that, no fillies or mares are eligible enough to marry my son!" She told him sternly.

"Would you listen to yourself? You're acting like a five year old having a tantrum over toys right now." He told her "To be honest, I'm quite disillusioned." He finished.

"Disillusioned?!" Twilight asked with an incredulous expression "Oh please, you're having some problems too after Twirax began to develop feelings for this colt." She told him.

"I didn't know okay?" Thorax told her softly "To be honest, I still don't trust that colt in being our daughter's special somepony but, I wouldn't go on an outrage about it, I would rather remain equanimous and ask him some questions about himself." He said in a logical sense.

"So you're saying that I should allow my son to love that little filly?!" Twilight asked furiously.

"N-no." Thorax said with a shake of his head "I'm just telling you that you should be composed and look through the situation. Being angry all the time would only provoke detrimental harm to your personal health. Look, Twinkle's I'm trying to de-escalate the situation here, I do not want to argue with y-"

Thorax wasn't able to finish his sentence when his wife huffed and turned away from him.

"Yeah right, he is my son, and he would listen to what I say. This conversation is over." Twilight told him as she stood up from the chair "In addition to that, you're sleeping on the couch tonight." She added.

Thorax sighed and said "Yes Twilight."

After that, Twilight began to make her way to the doors of the living room. Once she got to it, she pulled the doors open with her magic and exited, closing the door behind her in the process. Finally, she made a left turn and began to head up the staircase to get to her room.

While walking, Twilight was currently feel a bit down and ashamed of her actions she did back in Ponyville Lake, those three unicorns were her subjects after all. In addition to that, how can she say such a horrible thing to her husband?

"Why did I say such a horrible thing to my Thory?" Twilight asked a tear began to roll down on her left cheek. "I'm such an impulsive mare, my Thory is correct, I should learn how to discover the truth rather than going on an outrage, Thory, I'm so sorry." She said quietly.

"I forgive you my Queen."

Twilight immediately stopped in her tracks when she heard her husband. She turned around and saw him standing in front of her with a warm smile on his muzzle. She then wasted no time and ran up to him in a hasty speed. Once she got to him, she embraced him in a loving hug, and Thorax hugged back.

"I'm so sorry for being so impudent today Thory." Twilight apologized while sobbing "Can you disregard what I said to you previously and sleep with me tonight please?" She asked kindly.

"Its okay Twinkle's I forgive you." Thorax cooed "And yes, I will sleep with you tonight." He told her, and Twilight smiled warmly from his reply, she always loved to have her King around her all the time.
