An alternate route

by Fireheart 1945
A look at how the Negotiationsverse could have gone if Celestia was more willing to take in the, or a, human point of view.

Equestria has arrived on Earth, surrounded by a stationary barrier. After a few months, a ship came out from behind the barrier, with sapient ponies onboard.

But things haven't been all rainbows and sunshine. Princess Celestia has seen the savage side of man and seeks to create a potion to turn them into ponies while curbing their sinful ways. The barrier is lethal to human upon contact, and it is clear that if you aren't a pony, you aren't getting in. On top of this, the ponies who have entered the human side of the barrier preach constantly of the wonders of Equestria and it's harmonious ideology of friendship.

But there is resistance. Human technology has made its way into Equestria, including computers, phones, and the internet. Both humans and ponies alike begin to condemn the better-than-you idea that so many ponies take for granted and that offends humans.

One human critic has become so well known that Celestia decides to actually get her hooves a bit dirty and actually debate him and Lyra Heartstrings.

It's not the cakewalk she expects.

(There are changes to the Negotiationsverse that will be discussed in the chapters to come. This is a less dark but still very earnest attempt to refute Celestia ideology from the original timeline.)
