Crystal Empire

It was a normal average day in the Crystal Empire, the residents of the town were seen having a chat with each other and doing work, while the young's were seen playing with each other in playgrounds like they always do in their daily lives.

However, some residents of the town were seen having a chat about something else, and this subject was about the changelicorn foal named Alistair, the Prince of the Crystal Empire.

Six years ago, Princess Cadence announced to her subjects that Thorax and Twilight Sparkle were going to have a baby soon which got them very exhilarated. Ten months later, Cadence's sister-in-law has officially given birth to a healthy hybrid changeling and unicorn colt with wings which indicates that he is a hybrid unicorn and changeling, Shining Armor even announced him as the Prince of the Crystal Empire. Therefore, Thorax placed a crown on him that he received from Celestia, and his son has become the Prince of the Crystal Empire.

During his foalhood, Thorax and Twilight have both brought their son to the playground multiple times so that he could get some exercise as well as experiencing what it's like to have fun. But, just as he became three years old, it was time for him to go to school which he absolutely loved, however, the changelicorn's cousin Flurry Heart was always very protective over him from bullies attempting to make fun and insult him, as well as fillies who tries to make a move on him and become his special somepony. Although the exertions did humiliate and aggravate him but, he still loves his cousin a lot.

On the sidewalk of the Crystal Empire, Prince Alistair was seen walking down the street of the town and making his way back home while looking up at his exam report card with a pleasant smile on his muzzle.

"Alright, another successful term at school." Alistair said in a proud tone. "I bet mommy and daddy will be so proud of me." He finished.

After walking for fifteen more seconds, the changelicorn Prince has made it to the front gates of his house with two Royal guards standing in front of them.

"Prince Alistair!" The guards said with salutes.

"Don't have to do that every time." He told them with a chuckle.

"Sorry about that your highness, welcome back." The guards on the left said as he pushed the gate open.

"Thank you so much."

Then, Alistair stepped forward and walked through the gates with the guards closing them from behind. After that, he began to make his way to the front doors of the castle, once he got to it, he charged his horn and pushed the two doors open with his magic. After that, he walked through the doors, closing them from behind in the process.

Once Alistair was in the first floor of the castle, he began to look for his mother, and his mother usually shows up here after school. When he looked to his left, he saw his mother mopping the floor, the sight has made him smile.

"Mommy!" Alistair exclaimed as he ran towards his mother.

When Twilight heard the familiar voice, she looked to her right and saw her six years old son Alistair running towards her hastily.

"Alistair!" Twilight exclaimed as she balanced the mop by leaning the handle against the wall. Then, she stretched her hooves out.

Once Alistair reached his mother, he jumped forward and Twilight caught her son in her hooves. After that, the unicorn mare pulled her son in for a loving hug, and Alistair hugged back.

"Welcome back honey, did you have a wonderful last day of school?" Twilight asked looking down at him.

"Indeed I have mommy, we had a party with foods and drinks as well." He told her.

"That sounds fun!"

"Indeed it is mom." Alistair said with a nod, then, the young Prince decided to change the subject "Look at this mom, this is my report card from school." He told her as he held his report card in front of his mother.

When Twilight saw the piece of paper in front of her, she levitated it up in the air with her magic. After that, she began to read it, and her eyes widened when she saw what was on it.

Teacher's comment
Dear Thorax and Twilight Sparkle, your son has done a remarkable work at school, his exam results are astonishing and he may advance to the higher classes after the summer holidays.

Twilight was extremely flabbergasted by her son's exam results, he got all straight A'S once again. Now, he is once again advancing to a higher class.

"Wow Alistair, mommy is so proud of you!" Twilight exclaimed as she embraced her son once more.

"Thank you mommy, all of that studying has paid off." He told her as he hugged back.

After hugging each other for fifteen seconds, Twilight pulled her son away from her and gently placed him on the floor.

"Honey, why don't you go to your room and wait for me there?" She asked "I'm gonna get you some deserts." She told him. And that got him exhilarated.

"Thank you mommy! I love you!" Alistair exclaimed as he nuzzled his mother.

"I love you too honey." Twilight cooed nuzzling her son back.

Ten seconds later, the two of them pulled away form each other and chuckled. After that, Alistair began to make his way to his room where he will put his backpack down near his studying desk and play with his toys.

Twilight smiled warmly when she saw her son walking back to his room, too bad Thorax wasn't here to see his report card due to him always being very busy with helping his and her subjects, he is going to have to see it tonight. Then, Twilight looked at the broom next to her and grabbed it with her hooves. After that, she began to mop the floor again.

On the second floor hallway, Alistair has made it to his bedroom door after walking upstairs and through this hallway for approximately thirty seconds. He then charged his horn and attempted to pull it open, but suddenly, a voice ceased him from doing that.

"Hey Alistair!"

Alistair looked to his right to where the source of the voice came from and saw his cousin Flurry Heart walking towards him with a smile on her muzzle.

"Oh, hello Flurry."

"Welcome back Alistair, how's the Prince of the Crystal Empire doing?" Flurry asked as she began to rub his head, after a brief second, she removed her hoof from his head and noticed that she messed his hair up a little which made her giggle.

"I'm doing great thanks." Alistair said in a slightly irked tone. He then reached out for his hair on his head and fixed it.

Ever since Alistair was born, Flurry Heart visited him very often to play with him so that he would not feel left out and bored because of his parents being incessantly busy with work which could affect his mental health. Although he does appreciate her attendance but, she is very overprotective over him as if he is her little brother, he and her are both going to be heir to the thrones of the Crystal Empire as well as Canterlot when both their parents retire along with Celestia and Luna. That is the main reason why she requested her aunts to transform him into an alicorn is so that he can be the second ruler of Equestria. He used to be a hybrid changeling and unicorn back when he was around one to four years old.

"That's wonderful to hear!" Flurry exclaimed with a wide smile "Anyways, what do you want today?" She asked as she began to charge her horn, preparing to summon something for her cousin.

"Toys? Books? Magazines? Food?"

"I don't want anything." Alistair told her as he pulled his bedroom door open "My mom is already going to get desert for me." He finished as he entered his room, closing it behind him in the process.

"Huh." Flurry said with a nonplus expression. Usually she and her cousin enjoy having fun with their magic but unfortunately, Alistair was not in the mood for entertainments at the moment.

In Alistair's bedroom, the young Prince was seen playing with some toy figurines in a way like they're fighting, he was also making a ton of noises that are only audible in his room. However, his playing session was put to an end when he heard the sound of his room door being pulled open. Alistair looked in front of him and saw his mother coming into his room with a glass dish of chocolate ice cream levitated in front of her with her magic.

"Hello honey, I brought you your desert."

"Thank you so much mommy." Alistair said with a smile.

When Twilight got near her son, she placed the glass dish on the floor in front of him, then he began to eat it delightfully with a smile because of the amount of sweetness in it.

"Mmm."

The sight of her son smiling warmly has made Twilight smile warmly too.

"I'm gonna go do your laundry now sweetie." Twilight said as she bent down and planted a light kiss on his forehead. After that, she stood up and made her way to his playroom which was also the place where his laundry box is.

Alistair was seen finished eating halfway down into his ice-cream, after the scrumptious and sweet treat, he will do some exercise to burn all of the fat in his abdomen because, he wants to be a guardian to his subjects like his father and uncle. However, his consuming of the ice-cream session was put to an end when he heard the sound of his playroom door being opened again.

The young Prince ceased on his chowing and looked behind him to her mother was, and he saw her moving his laundry bucket with her hooves with a fatigue expression.

"Wow, mommy must be very busy." Alistair muttered with a sad expression. A brief second later, he has decided to assist her "You know what, I'm going to help my mommy today." He told himself. After that, he stood up from the floor and walked to his mother.

"Mommy."

When Twilight heard her son, she looked down at him and saw that he was staring up at her with a concerned expression, his lips was covered in chocolate ice-cream as well.

"Oh my your lips." Twilight said as she levitated a napkin out of her pocket with her magic. After that, she brought it down to his lips and wiped it. Five seconds later, Twilight pulled the napkin away from her son's lips and saw that it was all cleaned "That's much better." She said with a smile, after that, she put the napkin back into her pocket.

"Anyways, you were saying Alistair?"

"Mommy you must be very busy." Alistair said with a sympathetic expression.

"Yeah I know." Twilight said with a disconsolate expression "I'm the only one who is free since your father is busy providing succour to our subjects with work, your uncle and aunts are checking the guards, Flurry Heart is studying, and the guards are patrolling the streets." She told him.

Alistair's eyes widened when he heard that, is his mother really the only one free and available for service and chores right now?

"You know what mom, today I'm gonna be the son that you need." Alistair told her sternly "I'm gonna assist you with the chores that you need to do." He finished.

"Oh it's okay honey, I can do it myself, you can keep playing with your toys." She told him.

"No mom I insist." Alistair told her with a shake of his head "I want to be the son that you love, and I'm gonna prove it by helping you push my laundry to the laundry room." He finished.

Then, Alistair walked behind his green coloured laundry basket and placed his head against it. After that, he began to push it to his bedroom door, thanks to his time in sports as well as attending his karate lessons two times a week, he was strong enough to push the heavy basket.

Twilight was extremely touched by the sight of her son generously offering help to her that she nearly shed a tear of happiness. But then, she snapped out of her thoughts when she saw her son already exiting his bedroom and was now pushing his laundry basket to the laundry room.

"Oh uh, wait for me honey." Twilight said as she began to walk to the door of his room.

Three minutes later, Alistair has successfully pushed his laundry basket to the laundry room. His mother then pulled open the lid of the washing machine and Alistair began to toss his clothes, pants and underwears into the washing machine, his adroit skills in basketball and mathematics has given him an auspicious advantage.

After constantly throwing his laundry into the washing machine for thirty more seconds, Alistair has finished. Now, Twilight commenced her part, she closed the lid of the washing machine and turned the power on, knowing that powder, water and bleach have been applied into the washing machine's three slots section. A brief second later, the washing machine began to operate, then, Twilight and Alistair both stepped back from the room with Twilight closing the doors in the end.

"So mommy, what do you have to do next?" Alistair asked.

"Well honey, this is my last obligation." She told him, and that made her son smile due to him eager for his mother to take a break "We have to clean the dusty hallway over there." She told him pointing at the hallway.

Alistair looked behind him and saw the dust covered hallway. The sight has traumatized him completely, but, he pushed it out of himself and obliged with his mother's request. Then, he looked up at his mother with a confident expression.

"I'm willing to help mom." Alistair told her with a confident expression.

"Thank you so much honey." Twilight cooed. She then pulled out a feather duster from her left pocket "Here use this." She told him.

Alistair nodded and grabbed the duster with his magic.

"Now you can go start with the table, window and vase over there while I grab the vacuum cleaner okay?"

"Of course mother."

"That's my son." Twilight said stroking her son's head in a loving manner. Then, she turned around and began to walk to the storage room where she will grab the vacuum cleaner.

"Alright, let's get started." Alistair said with a confident expression.

Alistair and Twilight were both having the time of their lives, they were both seen vacuuming and dusting the hallway in a merriment manner due to them being together. This was a true mother and son moment, Alistair sure was getting more closer to his mother rather than his father but, he'll eventually spend some time with him when he has time.

During the cleaning process, Alistair had to spread his shelled wings and fly up to high areas to dust because he was still too short. During the dusting, Alistair sneezed at least three times but, he managed to focus on his flying.

After vacuuming and dusting the hallway for ten minutes, both Alistair and Twilight were both completed with the obligation at last! Now Twilight can rest, so, she teleported the vacuum cleaner back into the storage room and lied down on the floor on her back.

"There, all finished." Twilight said while panting.

Alistair decided to rest with his mother, so, he walked up to her, climbed on top of her and rested himself on top of his mother making her squeak and giggle in the process.

"We have completed all of the obligations mommy!" Alistair exclaimed happily.

"Yeah, and it's all thanks to you honey." Twilight cooed rubbing his cheeks "You're the best son I could've ever have " She told him.

"And you're the best mommy I could've ever have, I'm so happy to be your son." He told her.

Twilight couldn't help but shed a tear from her son's polite and wonderful remark. She then wrapped her hooves around him and embraced him in a hug.

"Thank you for your sweet remark honey." Twilight cooed kissing her son on the forehead.

"You're very welcome mommy. I love you." Alistair said with a smile.

"I love you too Alistair." Twilight said with a smile.
