Best friends appreciation day
It was a peaceful afternoon, Twilight was just sitting at her library reading, as usual, and Spike was there too, assisting her.
“Spike! Can you please bring me “Equestrian peels and cultures volume 2!” Twilight said in her normal voice.
“Oh sure!” The drake said.
As the dragon was getting the book a bunch of papers fall out of a scrap book flooding the castle glass floors.
“Oh! Look it’s all your pictures!” The dragon told Twilight. “Oh wow! I’ve been needing to find those!” Twilight responds.
The small dragon was looking at all the pictures with a weird look on his face.
“Uhh..” The drake says with concern.
“What about them?” Twilight asked confusingly.
“It kinda seems like you’re missing someone..like important?” Spike told the alicorn.
“Like who? I have Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie pie, Rainbowdash, All my canterlot friends, Celestia and Luna- who else am I missing!?” The alicorn said questioning the dragon.
“What about.. Starlight?” Spike said.
The lavender alicorn went quiet for a split second.
“Oh my gosh! You’re right- I HAVEN’T-..or barely gotten any pictures with her!” Twilight said now stressing.
“Yeah..it’s not that big of a deal?” The drake said.
“What do you MEAN it’s not a big deal? I-I- mean..she might start thinking that I don’t care about her! What if she decides she doesn’t wanna be my friend anymore- what if!” The alicorn said before being interrupted by a frustrated dragon.
“Twilight! Get a hold of yourself!” Spike told the alicorn.
“You’re right! Spike can you watch my castle for a bit! Thanks!..also, can you send a letter to sunburst asking him to be the vice head stallion? Also! One to maud to be the vice guidance counselor, Thank you again!” Twilight said teleporting to Starlights room.
“Ugh..me and my big mouth.” Spike told himself with regret.
Starlight was peacefully reading a book sitting on her bed until she heard a knock on her door.
“Come in! The unicorn said.
“Uh.. Starlight can I talk to you?” Twilight said with a awkward smile on her face still trying to find the right way to say what she was about to say.
“Yeah Twi, what’s up!” Starlight said in her normal happy voice.
Twilight loved that nickname, when starlight called her it at least.
“Well..I’ve been wondering I’ve realized most of my pictures have been with my other friends bu- long story short can we take pictures together I don’t care you say no because I already got Sunburst to be vice head stallion and Spike to watch the castle and got Maud to be the substitute guidance counselor!” Twilight said happily.
“Well..if you insist..yes!” Starlight responded happily.
They both smiled as they are making their way to the picture place.
Once Twilight and Starlight made it to the picture place they saw it was crowded.
“Wow! This line never ends!” Starlight said.
“I wonder what’s keeping the line up.” Twilight said confused.
Two ponies walk past them with shirts that said “best and friend”, more ponies walk past them with those type of shirts as well.
“There seems to be a lot of best friends here today, I wonder what that’s about.” Starlight said.
“Come get your best friends appreciation day discount picture! Only last this week!” The announcer said.
“Best friends day-?.. it’s best friends day! How could I forget! Oh no!.. what type of “Princess of Friendship” am I if I forget something like tha-“ Twilight said while being stopped by a comforting Starlight.
“Twilight! It’s ok! Things like this happen! You are a amazing princess!” Starlight said comforting the purple alicorn.
The alicorn then took a deep breath.
“You’re right thank you for reminding me everypony makes mistakes, I am really lucky to have a best friend like you.” Twilight said with a smile.
Starlight blushed at the compliment.
About 2 hours later.
“Next group is up! Number 872!” The announcer said.
“That’s us!” Starlight said.
Twilight and Starlight entered the booth smiling.
“So what do we do first-“ Starlight asked.
“SMILEE!” Twilight said while pulling Starlight into a tight hug.
I’m just a few minutes over 100 pictures snapped!..all not being so great, but soon they decided one.
“I like… this one! Twilight and Starlight said at the same time while putting their hoofs on top of eachother.
Twilight and Starlight blushed.
“Ok! Then we will take this one!” Twilight said chuckling a bit.
“Wait! You have to choose a frame for it too!” The worker said stopping them.
“Oh ok! So what are the options!” Starlight asked.
The worker showed Twilight and Starlight all the options and they finally chose one.
“I like this one!” Twilight said
“I like that one too!” Starlight agreed.
“Ok! That will be 54.99 with tax.” The worker said.
After they left back at the castle of friendship.
“So were are we gonna put it in the castle!” Starlight asked.
“I was thinking we can put them here!” Twilight said.
“I think that is a perfect spot.” Starlight said with her eyes lidded.
“Ugh your finally back it was boring with all of you gone..especially if one of you is..power hungry.” Spike said in a jokingly manner.
Twilight gave spike the “princess look”.
“Kidding..heh..wait. Do I have a feeling I’m missing something?“ Spike asked.
“Nope your not missing anything. Twilight said while smiling at Starlight.
5 days later.
Twilight was running around in circles in Rarity’s main boutique area struggling to get out the confession she was trying to make.
“Darling, what’s the matter dear.” Rarity asked with a concerned look on her face.
Twilight took a deep breath.
“I have a confession to make.” Twilight said.
“I’m listening.” The Dark purple haired unicorn said.
“I like Sta-“ Twilight said about to confess cut off by a loud Pinkie Pie.
“CUPCAKES!!!” Pinkie pie screamed out of nowhere sliding into the boutique.
“Pinkie! Twilight is trying to tell me something! Why are your screaming cupcakes anyway? Rarity said in a stern voice.
“Oh! No reason, I just like to scream.. CUPCAKESSSS!” Pinkie pie said as she bounced out of the boutique.
Rarity rolled her eyes.
“Well, what I was saying is that I..I love Starlight!
“Love like a friend or love like want to date?” Rarity said a little bit too interested in what her friend was saying.
“Love like..more than a friend.” Twilight said blushing with her eyes lidded.
“Oh darling! I suggest you talk Princess mi amore.”
“I know shes the princess of love and all that but I don’t think she’ll understand the love of having a crush and the nervousness that she won’t love me back but this isn’t just a crush.. and how would she have any idea of how I’m feeling! Shining Amor loves her back!” Twilight said in a sad tone.
“True..well if you don’t want me to tell anyone I won’t..but my advice would be to just say how you feel! Rarity said comforting her friend.
“But it’s not that easy!” Twilight said worried.
“Well then maybe it’s because your thinking of all the bad things that could happen” Rarity said.
“What do you mean?” Twilight asked confused.
“Think of the good things that could happen! You could..gain a marefriend..your soulmate..a wi-“ Rarity said being cut off by a embarrassed Twilight.
“Ok I get it! Thanks for your help.” Twilight said with a small chuckle and blush.
As Twilight walked out of the store she was stopped by a infuriated Trixie.
“I heard Everything you said about Starlight and how you like her.” Trixie said annoyed.
“Trixie! We’re you listening! You better not tell her-” Twilight said being cut off.
“Oh I would never do such a thing…I’ll just take her first.” Trixie said.
“Oh please she only likes you as a friend no way she likes you more than that and forcing her wouldn’t make her like you anymore than she does, and plus even if you did manage to get her, how would she feel if you were just dating her to win up me..AGAIN.” Twilight said feeling like she just did something.
“Ha! Like she’ll believe that after the last time.” Trixie said
“She might, if I tell her.” Twilight said sure of herself.
“As if! The Great! And Powerful Trixie deserves her more than anyone!” Trixie said smoke bombing away.
“Ugh, I have to do something about this..” Twilight said to herself.
