However, Rainbow Dash thought about how after stopping Ahuizotl from causing the valley to be covered in sweltering heat for eight hundred years. They were given a letter from Daring Do, who has been tasked to help the great adventurer on another quest, and she could not help but feel so excited. It took all her mental energy to keep calm. This time, she was invited to go on an adventure with her idol and focus on flying. Winter wasn't there when the daredevil mare helped Daring Do with her last adventure and despite Rainbow was unsure if it was a good idea to bring her marefriend. However, she insisted on coming this time, seeing she's also been reading her Daring Do books and has gotten interested in the adventurer. They headed straight to the explorer’s house, and Rainbow was the first to knock on the door. There they were greeted by the explorer, who looked rather disgruntled as she eyed the two and grumbled, "I thought I told you to come alone." Rainbow rolled her eyes as she was planning on coming along. However, Winter kept nagging at the daredevil to let her come along as she explained, "well, she goes wherever I go, besides having a goddess of winter might be helpful." Winter's cheeks flushed a shade of pink as she squeaked out. "I hope so!" Daring Do blinked and looked somewhat confused and curious upon hearing this as she asked, "wait are you serious? This mare is the goddess of Winter?" The pegasus in question scratched the back of her mane as she responded with a sheepish smile. "Well, sort of… it'll be a rather long story if I tried to explain my entire past." The golden-brown coated mare walked around the strange mare that claimed to be a goddess. "Well, I wouldn't mind having you sit down with me, and we can talk about your past together. Nevertheless, for now, let me explain why I brought you two here." She led the two to her living room which was somewhat tidier than the last time Rainbow was here; they all sat around with teacups in their hooves as Daring Do sat down as she sipped her tea and continued. "Ok, well, first let me explain what we're looking for. Deep in the jungles, there is a mythical waterfall that is said to hold an ancient civilization and is ruled by a goddess of some sort. I was hoping to discover it and give my findings to Celestia and Luna. However, I'm not sure how primal they may be as their civilization has been lost for at least a thousand years." "So, you got a key or something to get inside this mythical waterfall?" Rainbow asked with a suspicious look on her face wondering if this whole expedition would be a waste of time. Daring Do took a sip from her teacup, and then she took out a statue of a phoenix and an old-looking map and explained. "I found these in an old collector's shop. I got a good deal for them. I realized that through my studies, these objects are connected to an old legend of a city that was built a thousand years ago; it was quite advanced for its time from the legends. However, they built their city next to a volcano, and it did erupt. Everypony would've been killed, but their goddess the legends used her magic to envelop the city in a protective shield and disappeared from existence." The daredevil mare was somewhat stunned by this tale; she heard of it before as a filly a long time ago. Back when she attended school in Cloudsdale, she vaguely remembered one lesson her teacher told them. "The lost city of Phoenixoplois! That was just a legend, right. It doesn't exist!" Daring Do gave her new friend a smirk as she explained. "From all my books you've read, haven't you learned by now that some legends are true?" The daredevil mare scratched her mane with a hoof, feeling rather sheepish for not thinking her question through, and asked, "yeah, sorry about that." Winter tapped a hoof to her chin as she muttered to herself. "I know there are other goddesses out there…but I did not know another one lived here…" Daring Do sipped her tea as she responded, "The reason I'm having you two come with me is mostly for protection. I can mostly handle myself. But if the locals are hostile, I would rather have some ponies I can trust to have my back." The blue-coated pegasus rose up; she was determined to protect Daring Do no matter what. The daredevil gave the mare a salute. "Don't worry! you count on us to protect you!" Winter seemed to be a little jealous as she shrugged, "sure, no problem." "Alright then, let's get going, no time like the present!" The adventurer proclaimed as she pointed a hoof towards the door. Winter groaned as she stretched her back. "Seriously!? We just flew a dozen miles to get here." Rainbow threw a hoof out at her marefriend. "hey, come on!? You wanted to be a part of this adventure, right?" "Aright, but you're going to owe me when we get back to Ponyville," Winter grumbled, and the three soared into the sky and headed south to the jungles. The three pegasi flew through the skies towards the thick jungle canopy until they came upon a giant waterfall; it was quite a spectacle, with the waterfall being as massive as pouring thousands of gallons of water poured down over the cliff's edge. Like Rainbow Falls back in Ponyville, Instead of a rainbow reflected in the water, there was a fiery red streak across the surface like a scar crossing through the crystal blue waters. Rainbow Dash was rather excited as she started to flap her wings and bounce up and down; she couldn't help but squeal. "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! This is going to be so awesome!" Winter herself stepped forward to the waterfall and looked at it with awe. "I can feel the power behind this waterfall…" The adventurer removed the statue of a phoenix and held it up with a confused look, and responded, "but what do we do with this? Do we offer it?" Rainbow looked at the waterfall and pondered for a few seconds thinking over other Daring Do books. Then the pegasus standing there had an idea popped into her head. "Why don't we fly through the waterfall with the statue? I'm sure it's like a pass or something." The explorer got excited as she exclaimed, "That actually sounds like a great idea! It's not the first ancient temple or city I found behind a waterfall!" She took the other pegasi by the hooves, and they all nodded in unison; they then flew through the waterfall. On the other side, they came through a fountain and popped into a Townsquare; they didn't find an ancient tribe; instead, through the waterfall, was a town similar to that of Ponyville? It looked almost disturbingly too identical and the Ponies walking around doing their own business. The three pegasi saw that the city was quite vacant and looked way too modern. They all stood, all somewhat confused with Daring Do scratching her head as she mumbled. "Huh? So, they aren't as tribal as I thought they were going to be?" Rainbow Dash was somewhat disappointed and rolled her eyes as she replied sarcastically, "wow!? A whole town of ponies that are completely normal! I should've just stayed at home." Winter waved a hoof at the crowds walking by as some waved back at them as she commented, "I think this is all rather sweet. It seems like everypony is nice here." The blue-coated pegasus just scoffed as she looked upwards; the sun seemed normal, and a weather factory in the sky of their own. Rainbow Dash flew upwards into the sky to get a bird's eye view. She looked around and saw that the town was in a bubbly substance, with the city stretching to the bubble's outer perimeter. She then spotted what had to be a massive parade leading from a palace in the center of town. Crowds of ponies all gathered down a giant street from the castle with floats, giant balloons, tents, and booths. It was a lot to take in, but Rainbow Dash needed to report back to her friends, so she flew back down towards the fountain and exclaimed, "Hey! I see a crowd of ponies in the middle of town! Looks like they're having a parade!" The golden-brown coated pegasus rolled her eyes as she commented, "ok, look, I think we should leave and come back later. I didn't come here just so we can feast on junk food and watch giant floats go on by." Winter meekly walked forward with her cheeks flushed pink as she whispered, "I…I mean we're already here? Why don't we have some fun and see why these ponies are celebrating?" Rainbow wasn't sure of that idea at first. Still, she also wanted to join in on the fun, seeing that this was getting rather exciting as she flew over next to her marefriend and replied, "yeah, you have a point; I mean, what's the worst that could happen?" Rainbow Dash saw that Daring Do seemed a bit peeved at the two's decision but shrugged and relented. "Fine, we'll stay for a little bit." The other two pegasi cheered, and the three flew towards the parade. The three pegasi found a spot among the crowds; they stood by as they watched the floats come on by down the road. There were tons of ponies there, all cheering and seeming to be having a good time with confetti slowly raining down on them. The three stood by and watched as the floats came down, with some being volcanoes, others of flames spewing out of a phoenix's mouth, others were massive columns of fire exploding from the unicorns' horns. The ponies on the floats were throwing candy and other treats at the crowds. Rainbow picked up the candy seeing labels, like, Hot bomb gum, cinnamon flakes, scorching taffy. The daredevil decided to try the scorching taffy unwrapping it, then plopped it in her mouth. Rainbow started to chew on the taffy, then her face began to glow a bright red. It tasted like an explosion of cinnamon in her mouth! She then immediately spat it out, coughing and wheezing, "Oh my gosh, that's hot!" "I think that was rather obvious." Daring Do snickered as she pocketed all kinds of candy while Winter herself seemed to be sweltering, breathing heavily. Rainbow Dash was somewhat concerned for the health of her marefriend; she slowly came over and asked, "Hey, you ok? You're not looking too good?" The goddess smiled at her marefriend. "No…I… I'm fine…I think I'll just head back to the fountain and cool off; you and Daring can stay and watch the parade." But before she could go, all the pegasi saw the biggest float of them all; it was a massive effigy of what had to be their goddess. She looked rather remarkable with fiery wings and a waving mane of orange and gold, bright orange eyes. Then following the float, there was a casket held up by six stalky stallions, all looking rather stoic as they came out at the end. The cheering and noise died down as the casket came by everypony bowed before it passed except for the three pegasi shouted in unison. "Did somepony die!?" A crowd of angry ponies "shhh!" and some pointed to the ground. The three dd as the rest of the public and bowed before the coffin. As it came to the end of the line, the parade stopped, and the casket was placed in the middle of the effigy. Then an orange coated mare with a fiery yellow and red mane flowing behind her. She was sporting golden armor; the mare came before the crowd on a podium as she addressed the assembly. "Hello, my dear subjects of Phoenixoplois! Today is a special day! Sadly our goddess has died for the hundredth time in the past ten thousand years; however, she is not gone and will be reborn again through a vessel. Before she passed, I Comet was chosen to be that vessel. Now, let's perform the duty of reincarnating the body to ash so her spirit may be free." The guards that carried the coffin now had torches as they set the effigy ablaze. It was engulfed in flames in a matter of seconds, and as the fires soared through the sky, every pony rose and shouted, "Yes, reborn from the ashes death is not eternal!" Winter was getting more woozy by the second all this heat was clearly making her dizzy while Rainbow held onto her. Daring Do, however, was now officially freaked out. "Ok…um…well, I don't know about you two, but I think we should get going." "Yeah, we should go; I think we've seen enough," Rainbow growled; this whole thing was starting to put her on edge…the ponies here were basically having a party for the death of their leader? How does that even make any sense! As the three made their way through the crowds, Rainbow suddenly felt odd as her entire body started to shiver as she thought magic went through her. Everypony around was now staring as a fiery glow was now enveloping over her, then it poured itself into Rainbow Dash's body; the crowds of ponies around the daredevil then all bowed once more and proclaimed. "The goddess has chosen a new mother; all hail the vessel!" Rainbow started to shake all over, with sweat now pouring down her face. She was already feeling strange as if her belly felt something fiery was growing in her. The blue-coated pegasus was now beyond scared or concerned and cried out. "What the buck are all of you talking about!?" The royal advisor slowly walked forth to Rainbow Dash. "Please don't be alarmed that the goddess has chosen you to carry her to term! You will give birth to our beloved goddess once more!" Upon hearing this, the blue-coated mare couldn't believe what she heard; hand stammered, "wait…no! No! no! this can't be happening…I um, can one of you take her? It doesn't have to be me, right!?" The other ponies around her all started to whisper amongst themselves. Some even agreed with her that some random pony shouldn't give birth to their leader. However, Comet threw a hoof in the air to keep the ponies quiet, then turned her attention to Rainbow Dash as she continued explaining, "sadly no, I was the one chosen before she passed, but our goddess chose you for some reason." Rainbow Dash stepped back, and her heart was pounding in her chest. Why was this happening to her!? This can't be happening! She had to cry out loud. "This can't be happening! This is all just some crazy dream!" Daring Do was now starting to feel guilty as she stammered. "Rainbow Dash… I'm so sorry! I didn't know any of this would happen." Comet held up a hoof as she explained, "It's alright, I can tell you three are outsiders; why don't you come with me to the castle? You can rest, and I'll explain everything, and we can explore options." The three were then led to the castle to be told about the situation. Winter was given an ice bath at the castle in one of the palace chambers while Daring Do and Rainbow were now sitting at a large dining table. The room itself was painted gold and red with tapestries depicting the goddess or a phoenix. The food, as Rainbow guessed, was spicy, with hot bowls of chili, sandwiches filled with spicy peppers. Rainbow Dash tried some of the food only to cough it right back up. Daring Do, however, was having the time of her life gorging away. The blue-coated mare slowly took her goblet filled with a strange red liquid; the daredevil mare gave it a cautious sip and gave a sigh of relief, "thank Celestia, it's just a fruit punch." The advisor was patient, letting them relax a little before she smiled and asked, "so…um…you two ready for me to explain what's going on here? I rather not spoil your meal." Rainbow just pushed the food aside with a disgusted look. "Sorry, but I'm not a fan of spicy foods; yeah, go ahead, explain why I'm the one that has to give birth to some fiery goddess." The advisor gave a deep sigh as she started the story. "Let me explain, over ten thousand years ago, our tribe was known as the Tribe of Fire. We lived near an ancient mountain due to its lush land around it; our tribe was foolish, however. We didn't know the land was bountiful because of the rich soil and that we lived next to a dormant volcano. There we found a baby pegasus; she was different from the others; she developed quicker than the other foals and even started seeking alliances with other tribes. The history isn't well documented, so we don't know how big our tribal lands expanded to. But this strange pegasus was soon declared our leader, and some say she helped keep our land from never having to endure the harsh Winter. However, then…it happened…the volcano erupted and destroyed everything in its path. Our leader, who we named Phoenix, decided to have our unicorns create a sphere of magic to shield our city. We have been living in these pocket dimensions since. To sustain this dimension, our goddess dies and is resurrected through natural birth every hundred years. So before she dies, the goddess will choose a mare to host her spirit and have her be reborn through natural birth." Rainbow tried to pay attention to the lesson, but she's never been good at paying attention to long lectures as she got sidetracked by looking at the dozens of Phoenixes flying around the dining room. The daredevil mare shook her head as the advisor stopped talking as she replied, "yeah…um…I got most of it, so…um one question if this goddess already chose you, why did she pick me!?" Comet took a sip of her own drink as she continued her lecture. "Not sure this never happened before; I was chosen due to my status as a warrior. It may look peaceful now, but every now and again, weird creatures try to enter our lands. I was proven to slay the most, and that was why I was chosen." Daring Do gave a frown and replied, "I'm a pretty capable fighter myself; I mean, Rainbow Dash is a stunt flyer, not a warrior? So if anything, I should've been chosen." The blue-coated mare got a little peeved at Daring Do's comment and snapped, "ok, hold up! I fought off Nightmare Moon, Discord, did jousting at the Crystal Empire, and helped save the princesses from those weird vines! I think I'm more than capable of handling myself." The advisor snickered, but she replied, "sorry, I should've explained better, it's not just about being a great warrior…she also looks for what she always quotes a pony with a fiery unyielding spirit. She wants a mother who never gives up and has a strong spirit. In a sense, she chose you, Rainbow Dash, because out of everypony here, she sensed you had the most." The daredevil was a bit stunned at hearing this. It actually made her feel better about herself, but it was also a lot to take in all at once. "Wow…when you put it that way… that's actually really cool." The mare then stared down at her belly, seeing that maybe she should tell this goddess herself, and pointed a hoof at it. "But still, I can't have a foal right now! Hey, goddess, listen up! I'm trying to get into the Wonderbolts! And on top of that, the Equestria games are coming! So I can't have you in me right now! I appreciate the compliment, but please go back to your advisor!" Daring Do and the other mare snickered, "I'm sorry, but right now, she's just a clump of cells dividing in your body." The daredevil mare felt it was a rather stupid idea and grumbled, "well, it was worth a shot…ok, even if I give birth, I don't have to raise her, right?" Comet, as she explained, "right, after the birth I can be her mother from there…. you can stay here if you wish? We would give you all the comforts we can provide…and even fewer spicy foods." Rainbow groaned as she rubbed her belly and thought it over as much as she would love to be pampered and treated like some goddess. The daredevil mare had many responsibilities at home, and she definitely didn't want to miss the Equestria games. The blue-coated mare rose up as she shook her head. "No, it's fine. I'm just going to go home." Daring Do also got up from her seat. "Thank you, Comet, for explaining everything…If it's alright, one of the reasons I came here was to see if you wished to have relations with those on the outside?" Comet rose up as she gave the to mares a smile and replied, "You can relay to your rulers about our city; we would gladly talk about trade; we grow tons of spicy foods here as you all have tasted." "Sure thing," The great adventurer responded curtly as the mares then slowly walked off as they headed to get Winter and start to go home. The three pegasi were all now back at Daring Do's house; the three didn't speak much after leaving the strange town. As the adventurer opened the door to her home, she looked behind her, looking somewhat concerned, "look, if you two need anything, let me know." Winter ruffled Rainbow's mane. "We'll be fine; I'll take care of her." Rainbow grumbled something under her breath; she was still rather peeved about the whole situation. The two then flew off together; when they were in the air Rainbow Dash finally snapped, "all alright! Guess I have to deal with a pregnancy during the Equestria games!" She looked down at her belly, and she could feel the heat from within; finally, she just couldn't hold back her anger anymore and shouted, "seriously, you had to pick me out of all ponies!" Winter's cheeks flushed red and suggested, "Why don't we confirm it? I mean, we don't even know if you're pregnant?" Rainbow Dash just shrugged; Winter had a point but wasn't going to get her hopes up and sighed under her breath. "Sure, I guess it's worth a shot," they went to some small pharmacy outside of Ponyville. The daredevil mare gulped, realizing she didn't want to be seen buying a pregnancy test. She was still only in the Wonderbolt reserves. Still, she really didn't want ponies to start gossiping and spreading rumors about her. The mare gave Winter some bits and asked, "can…you um…buy it for me? If somepony sees me…" "Sure, no problem," Winter whispered as she went inside the store. Rainbow Dash waited, stomping about with sweat dripping down her face. She looked around the dirt road; luckily, there are no ponies around. When her marefriend returned, Rainbow gave a sigh of relief without even saying anything. The blue-coated mare took the box and slowly went behind some bushes; after a few seconds, the usually stoic mare slowly walked over with the bit of plastic in her hooves. She was quivering all over as she gave the strip to Winter and squeaked, "I think it's positive. Can you double-check for me?" Winter looked it over and saw the two lines and sighed, 'I'm so sorry…I really am…" Rainbow groaned as she plopped down in the grass as the weight of what happened to her was starting to set it. She was pregnant, and there was nothing she could know. Heck, she didn't even know what to expect or how she was going to handle this. Rainbow just sat there and grumbled to herself. "Great…so it's official then?" Winter came close to Rainbow, took her wings, wrapped them around her, and hugged her friend close to her chest. Rainbow Dash could feel the soft cold touch of Winter's wings and hooves around her body as she whispered, "Hey, we'll get through this together." Rainbow Dash looked into her mare friend's eyes, and they deadlocked as they came close together as she whispered, "how could I find a mare as special as you?" Winter brushed her marefriend's mane as she whispered, "you have it all wrong; I can't believe I found a mare a special as you." The two mares then embraced each other, and they held the kiss for as long as they possibly can. After they kissed, the two flew back through the air as fast as they possibly could straight to Rainbow Dash's house. The two burst through the front door as they started to nuzzle and kiss each other more. The daredevil herself was consumed by just wanting to be with her marefirend and to forget all about her crazy day as she slammed her tongue down Winter's throat. Rainbow Dash threw the goddess of Winter onto her bed and got on top of her peering down on the sexy body of her lover. She was going to have sex tonight and forget about all of this! Maybe just maybe this was just all a crazy dream, and everything will be expected tomorrow morning. chapter two: Rainbow Dash vs HarshwhinneyRainbow Dash was sitting in Nurse Redheart's office she was waiting for the nurse to come back, staring at the ceiling tiles. The daredevil mare was somewhat nervous as she waited for her test results. She waited for the nurse to come by with her clipboard and looked over at Rainbow Dash with a kind smile, "hello, ready for your test results?" "Yeah," The daredevil mare sighed reluctantly; she really wasn't, but Winter eventually convinced her to go to the hospital for a checkup. The nurse came over and with a smile, "so…um…I guess there's good news: your growing foal seems to be really healthy, and you're also doing very well yourself." "Oh great, thanks for letting me know," Rainbow Dash grumbled under her breath. She already figured that much by herself. Nurse Redheart slowly walked over and handed her a file as she continued. "Look, there are options if you don't want the baby…" "Ugh!? No, it's fine; I already promised I'll give birth to it... it's complicated; this goddess thing chose me for some reason? Guess she liked my attitude?" The daredevil mare grumbled under her breath, feeling weird trying to explain her situation to somepony else. Redheart shook her head, seeming to be somewhat confused at what Rainbow was trying to say, and replied, "ok, well, we have you scheduled for next week for another scan, for right now, I'm just going to monitor your foal's growth…also…I know you're trying to keep this secret but …you know you won't be able to compete in the upcoming Equestria games right?" The daredevil mare cursed under her breath as she sighed and grumbled, "Yeah, I know!? But I can still be a judge for the foals who'll bear the flag for Ponyville?" "That's all up to for Harshwhinney; as for myself I've already approved that you can," Redheart replied. Rainbow started to get excited before the nurse gave her a glare and added, "as long as you don't overexert yourself." "Alright," Rainbow grumbled again as she flew back down with her cheeks flushed pink. Before she left, Redheart gave the mare a bag of supplies, "I put some vitamins in there, take each one once a day every morning, along with some helpful reading material, and you know the usual, don't drink coffee, don't drink alcohol and please don't do any crazy stunts, ok?" "Ok, whatever," Rainbow mumbled under her breath before she stomped off, wondering how things could possibly get worse. The daredevil mare woke up early the following day. She was supposed to be feeling somewhat ready for coaching the school foals of Ponyville and judging to see who will be bringing in the flag for Ponyville. However, Rainbow felt sick; she felt her body quivering, feeling this overwhelming urge to puke. The mare groaned, placing her hooves around her stomach. She knew her body was already acting harshly from the abnormal pregnancy. Rainbow Dash then ran to the bathroom and puked her guts into the toilet. Afterward rinsing her mouth with mouthwash and brushing her teeth rather thoroughly. Rainbow Dash then went to get some breakfast. The mare went downstairs, took out a bowl, and poured herself some Wonderbolt Flakes; she then poured some milk in and took a bite. She chewed on the cereal, and she felt that something was off. She reached over to the counter and poured some hot sauce into the bowl. She then shoved another spoonful of cereal in her mouth, and her eyes went wide. It was actually delicious now as Rainbow sat down to enjoy her meal and as she chomped down on her cereal and continued to do so for some time. After her breakfast, Rainbow Dash was still rather hungry; she then took out a tub of ice cream and tossed some jalapenos inside. After taking a few bites, she started to gorge on the ice cream shoving big scoops of it into her mouth. She didn't even notice that Winter just watched her the entire time, looking somewhat confused, and the daredevil mare looked up with an odd look before she swallowed and asked, "what?" "Oh nothing, just enjoying the show; I love to see your strange new cravings." Winter snickered as she went over to the fridge and pulled out a chilled latte. Rainbow pouted, so she longed for coffee, but she knew she couldn't have caffeine as she went to the stove and boiled a teapot of water to at least make herself some herbal tea. She did tell Twilight about her issue in hopes that maybe she could help. But of course, that was pointless, but she did introduce her to Zecora, who gave her some herbal teas she says will help. Rainbow grumbled angrily to herself, hating the fact how ponies treating her like she's helpless. Rainbow took some vitamins and popped them as she drank her tea. She again smacked her lips and felt as if something was missing. She then plopped ice cubes, took a sip, put some hot sauce inside, and then finished drinking it. Rainbow Dash then placed the cup down as she spread her wings and then flew out the door. The mare groaned; still feeling sick from this morning; she hoped she didn't puke in front of a classroom full of foals. She then flew across the sky, heading to the Ponyville; she was hoping she wasn't late; she heard of Mrs. Harshwhinny, the mare running the Equestria Games was rather ruthless and strict. She burst through the front doors of the school and saw Harshwhinney in front of her. "Well, it's about time, Mrs.Dash. I was wondering when you would arrive?" Harshwhinney scoffed loudly. Rainbow Dash waved a hoof as she came inside the school; she felt pretty nervous for some reason and a bit peeved at Mrs. Harshwhinney was already treating her like a school foal. But she remained silent as Harshwhinney went on a spiel about how honored they should feel flying the flag for the Equestria Games. Rainbow just sat there rolling her eyes and trying to do her best to keep her emotions in check. But she couldn't help but reminisce about her own experience flying the flag for Cloudsdale when she was a filly and exclaimed, "Yeah, I remember when I was a filly flying the flag for Cloudsdale, and how proud I felt!" Harshwhinney turns her attention to Rainbow Dash and scolds her, "Mrs. Dash, keep your emotions in check!" The pegasus started to get rather angry with this angry old mare, with Rainbow Dash's face turned red, and steam poured from her ears as she slammed a hoof on the ground. "I think you need to calm down!" "Excuse me?" Harshwhinney replied, looking somewhat surprised at being talked back to. Rainbow glared at the mare; she had enough of this old mare and stomped over, "you don't get to tell me what to do! Or how I feel! I can be as emotional as I want to be. I'm bucking pregnant!" Everypony gasped, and Rainbow Dash just realized what she said out loud. Cheerilee came over and glared and snapped, "Mrs. Dash, don't use that language in front of the foals!" Rainbow, however, was feeling enraged she was tired of this Mrs. Harshwhinney acting like she gets to decide how she judges!? Well, she was going to give her a piece of her mind. "I don't care! I just want to judge these foals, and this blep wants to try to tell me what to blep do! Also, yeah, I'm pregnant! I might as well and just tell you all it's eventually going to show anyways!" Mrs. Harshwhinney's cheeks flushed pink; she was clearly unnerved and whispered, "um…Mrs. Dash, please calm down…" Rainbow, however, had all this pent-up rage, and she couldn't stop as she shouted, "Calm down!? No, I'm not gonna calm down! I went on an adventure with Daring Do, thinking we'll be going through an ancient temple or pyramid full of traps and puzzles, but guess what? Instead, I got pregnant with a goddess of fire or something. Now I'm not sure if I'll be able to compete in the Equestria Games; heck, I don't even know if I'll be able to do this job!" "Alright, I think Rainbow Dash needs a timeout," Cheerilee exclaimed as she bit Rainbow Dash by the ear and led her out of the school like a foal as she took her outside. Rainbow kicked about; this was so weird she could've easily broken out of Cheerilee's grasp, but she also felt powerless at the same time as she shouted, "let go!" Cheerilee let Rainbow go, but she still was rather furious as she asked, "Listen, can you do this?" Rainbow Dash rubbed her ear now, feeling somewhat embarrassed and regretful for the things she said, and grumbled, "yeah, I can sorry I've just been feeling so weird…I can't believe I said all that…" Cheerilee placed a hoof on her shoulder, "It's alright, I…I can't believe that happened to you on your trip, and I honestly can't understand what you're going through. I'll talk to Hrashwhinney and try to smooth things over, given your situation." Rainbow Dash gave the mare a sigh of relief and whispered, "thank you." The teacher however wasn't done as she held up a hoof and replied, "but, I have to ask do you want to continue being a judge? And can you keep yourself in check? If you have another outburst like that I doubt Harshwhinney will let you judge." Rainbow lowered her gaze as she considered maybe just saying no and going home…but she really wanted to be a judge, pregnant or not! She looked up and stared right into Cheerilee's eyes and slammed a hoof down, and proclaimed, "yeah, it's fine, I can do this!" Cheerilee nodded with a smile, "alright, I'll go inside and talk to Mrs.Harshwhinney; for now, I would suggest you take some time to calm down…also, please watch your language around the foals." Rainbow just grumbled as she stomped off, still having a few choice words for Mrs.Harshwhinney but headed off to the fields near the school where they'll be doing the performances. Cheerilee was right. It's probably best she just stays here and gets some fresh air she needed to calm herself and prepare for helping the foals with their performances not her pregnancy. Chapter three: Rainbow HormonesA few hours after Rainbow Dash had her fight with Mrs.Harshwhinny, she was out in the fields near the school as she watched the foals do their routines. She, however, was instead blown away seeing the cutie mark crusaders finishing their routine. She was somewhat taken aback by the Cutie Mark Crusaders and their performance seeing how well they were working with each other. As the cutie mark crusaders finished, the daredevil mare rose up and started to clap her hooves and exclaimed, "that was awesome! I can't believe what I just saw!" Scootaloo trotted over and looked up at Rainbow Dash and asked, "so what about me? Did I pull through?" She flew over to Scootaloo and wrapped her hooves around the little filly and pulled her into a hug, and wrapped her wings around her. "Oh, you were just so good! I'm so proud of you!" They held each other together until the little orange-coated filly squirmed about. "Alright, let me go!" The pegasus finally got out of her grip and got out of her grasp as she brushed herself off, and then Rainbow gasped out loud. "I didn't hurt you or anything!" "Of course not, but you're getting too…um emotional…." Scootaloo squeaked out. Rainbow paused if the cutie mark crusaders were the ones who were telling her she was over-emotional and she's probably going overboard. The daredevil mare scratched the back of her mare and stammered. "Right…sorry…" "Yeah, it's fine…but…um, are you really pregnant?" The little orange filly asked in a curious tone. Rainbow cheeks flushed pink she didn't even remember telling them. "Well, it's complicated. I didn't get pregnant the normal way; it's more of some magical mumbo jumbo." "How do you get pregnant the normal way?" All the fillies asked in unison. Rainbow was now just standing there, getting flustered as she definitely put herself in an awkward situation. The mare stepped back, not sure what she should say, and stammered, "um…well…um ask Cheerilee, ok? She's your teacher…um, keep just up the good work! I'll see you tomorrow!" She then flew off to observe other foals hoping that the three fillies just dropped the subject. Later that evening, Rainbow Dash was coming back home; she was exhausted, tired, and somewhat annoyed as she slowly went through the front door. Winter was in a loveseat nearby; she looked up at her with a smile, "Hey, how's it going?" "Ugh, horrible, I just want to eat and go to bed," Rainbow grumbled under her breath, and she went straight to the freezer. She then took out a tub of ice cream and then started to shove giant scoops into her mouth. The mare paused before opening the fridge, throwing some jalapenos in the tub, and dumping an entire bottle of hot sauce inside. Winter just stood there shaking her head, "seriously, more ice cream?" "Well, I can't compete in the Equestria Games, and I have a foal that I didn't plan, and I just exposed myself in front of every pony." The daredevil mare complained as she chomped down on a spoonful of ice cream. Rainbow Dash then threw the tub back in the freezer before she trotted back herself to bed and plopped on top of it. That was when Winter came over and replied, "Wait? You told more ponies you're pregnant?" Rainbow didn't want to talk about it. Still, she knew her marefriend wouldn't let it go as she looked over and grumbled, "well…I did kind of have a mental breakdown in front of Cheerilee's class, but that bitch Mrs.Harshwhinney was getting on my nerves." Winter held up a hoof and continued, "Hey, no judgment on my part." She then followed Rainbow Dash to bed, and the two mares laid down next to each other as Winter brushed Rainbow's mane and asked, "So, you spent all day judging at foals doing their performances?" Rainbow Dash turned towards the ceiling and exclaimed, "yeah, overall, it was awesome! They were amazing! You should've seen the cutie mark crusaders!" "Sounds like you're not bipartisan in this." Winter snickered. It was just a joke, but Rainbow got a bit agitated by the comment and turned to her marefriend and sighed, "can we just snuggle and not talk about today? I honestly just want to go to sleep." Winter nodded, and the two snuggled each other as they laid in bed together for the night. The next afternoon after watching the cutie mark crusader's performance, Rainbow Dash was just completely confused about why it was so horrible. As the three fillies finished, she came over and asked, "what happened? Your performance was so much better yesterday?" Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle just rolled their eyes at each other. As Scootaloo stomped a hoof, "it's fine! It shows that I can fly, and that's what's important!" Rainbow had a feeling about what's happening with Scootaloo and ruffled her mane. "hey, it's ok, I think you three just need more practice, ok? "Alright…" Scootaloo grumbled irritably; something was obviously bothering her, and Rainbow wanted to help her deal with any issues she's going through. Rainbow didn't even know why she was starting to feel this need to help Scootaloo at any cost." Um…after you finish your practice, do you want to come over to my place for dinner?" "Sure, that sounds fine, "The little orange filly grumbled as she kicked the dirt with a hoof seeming to be still irritated about something. Rainbow nodded as she flew off, wondering why she was acting so strange? Hopefully, she can at the very least help Scootaloo with what's eating her. Later that evening, Rainbow Dash led Scootaloo to her home through the air as Scootaloo started to ask some questions, "hey um, so how did you get pregnant?" Rainbow sighed as she was hoping to avoid questions about her but replied, "I got pregnant on accident when I went to an ancient city of Phoenixopolis where they had their goddess reincarnated into me." "Oh wow, that's crazy!?" Scootaloo exclaimed. Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. She still can't believe that all happened to her as well as she continued, "yeah, I know, and if I'm being honest, I don't really want to talk about it." "Alright," the orange-coated filly whispered. Rainbow slammed a hoof to her face. Scootaloo seemed to be going through a lot already; she shouldn't take her anger out on her. As they entered her house, they came upon Winter, wearing an apron, and she's obviously been busy cooking dinner. She flew over and, with a big smile on her face, "oh hello, Scootaloo! It's so nice to meet you!" The orange-coated filly cheeks flushed pink as she replied, "yeah, it's nice to meet you too, Winter. I heard you're a goddess of Winter, is that true?" "Yes, it is a little filly!" Winter chirped and ruffled Scootaloo's mane. "Your Scootaloo, right?" "Y...yeah…" Scootaloo stammered with her cheeks flushing pink. Rainbow was happy to see Scootaloo warming up so they can get her to talk more during dinner. Winter turned to Rainbow and asked, "so I made spaghetti with a spicy tomato sauce. Along with a side of ice cold pasta salad. I'm sure that you like it!?" "Like it!? That sounds great! A lot of carbs for tomorrow!" Rainbow Dash cheered as she flew to the table looking like an excited school filly. Scootaloo also got excited as she skipped over and sat down in a seat across from her. Winter then went about serving them Rainbow Dash got both while Winter stuck with her pasta salad; Scootaloo decided to mix both like Rainbow Dash. They ate their meal together as they talked about the performance tomorrow. Scootaloo tried to remain silent throughout the meal, not really wanting to talk about it. But Rainbow decided to try to get her to open up and eventually asked, "Hey, what's up? You seem to be down in the dumps?" The orange-coated filly looked down at her meal and whimpered, "I… I'm just nervous about tomorrow because I can't fly." "Hey, don't sweat it; you're going to be fine if you fly or don't, "Rainbow replied back. She knew that filly was rather self-conscious of her ability to fly. Still, she seemed to be more anxious than usual. She bent her head down then asked, "did Diamond Tiara say something?" "Ye…yeah…" Scootaloo whimpered as Rainbow rolled her eyes, "don't listen to a word to that jerk? She's just a bully; you can do whatever you want as long as you put your mind to it." "Stop it, alright!? We won't be able to win the competition with a pegasus who can't fly!" Scootaloo snapped back. "Hey, don't take that tone with me, young lady," Rainbow replied back. "You're not my mom!" the orange filly shouted back. Rainbow paused as she started to sweat a little, realizing she was overstepping boundaries, "yo...your right, I'm just trying to say that even if you can't fly, you're going to do great tomorrow, so don't worry about it, ok?" Scootaloo nodded as she finished her meal along with the older mares. Things got relatively quiet as they finished up; an orange-coated filly asked, "so um…I guess I should be going now? Don't want my aunts to worry about me." "Yeah, I'll escort you home, ok?" Rainbow suggested as she got up and took the little filly on her back, and then soared out from her house and headed to Scootaloo's home. On the way there Rainbow couldn't help but feel motherly to the little helpless orange filly on her back clutching her tightly. The mare felt so comforted by the fact Scootaloo was on her back and she wanted to make this flight take as long as possible. It didn't take long as they came to the front door, and Rainbow gave the filly a pat on the head, "you need anything else?" "Nope, I think I'm good, "Scootaloo whispered; she then rushed over and gave Rainbow Dash a hug, and the mare held the filly close. Then they broke the embrace as the orange-coated filly went into her house. The daredevil mare just stood there with a smile, and tears came down her cheek. She paused and gave herself a chance wiped her eyes and grumbled, "ugh, what's wrong with me?" The daredevil mare then flew off she definitely was getting more emotional with these hormones rushing through her body and she could only hope she can somehow remain neutral tomorrow...but Rainbow knew deep down that was a lie. Chapter Four: Rainbow Dash The Big SisterRainbow Dash groaned; as she slowly got up from bed, she turned towards the window and saw that it was still night out. The daredevil mare was nervous…in fact, she wanted to just go to Mrs.Harshwhinny and tell her she wanted to quit. The mare was somewhat unsure if she should judge the competition due to her being biased and having a solid relationship with Scootaloo. The two bonded before but never like this, and it was evident that it would make it hard for her to grade them. The daredevil mare slowly trotted to the kitchen, where she took her vitamins and made herself a cup of herbal tea. As Rainbow sipped her tea, she thought things over, wondering if there was any way she could do this without making Scootaloo feel bad. The daredevil mare groaned, slamming a hoof to her face, "shut it! It shouldn't matter even if Scootaloo was my sister! I have to grade her and her friends as if they were any other pony." She drank the rest of her tea, feeling more resolved to see bring a judge though as the mare walked over to make waffles for herself and Winter. Her marefriend then got up much later and, with a smile, came over and nuzzled Rainbow. "Wow, breakfast, huh? You got up early." "More like I couldn't sleep," Rainbow yawned as she stretched her hooves up and then severed herself and Winter as they ate her marefriend asked, "so you going to still be a judge for the competition?" "Yeah… I've calmed down…." Rainbow grumbled as she took a bite of her waffle. "Hmmm, I think it would be better if you didn't, but I'll let you be you," Winter grumbled irritably. Rainbow narrowed her gaze with a glare at her marefriend and snapped back, "what do you mean by that!" Winter glared back and responded, "Well, because you and Scootaloo are friends, and you obviously have a bias to her team to carry the flag for Ponyville." Rainbow Dash was starting to get irritated and slammed a hoof down and shouted, "so what!? I can be subjective!" "Oh yeah, like how you were last night, come on, you need to find a replacement." The light blue coated mare grumbled irritably. "Seriously!? This isn't up for debate! Besides, it's not like they're going to find a replacement on the day of the competition." The daredevil snapped. Winter rolled her eyes, and they just finished their meal in silence. Rainbow had enough of this as she got up, "oh great, there you go, giving me the silent treatment! Alright, I gotta get going." She then got up and flew off out of the house she needed to cool her head before heading to the Crystal Empire. Rainbow Dash spent the rest of the morning just flying around Ponyville she was still rather angry from her fight with Winter and was muttering and cursing under her breath. She eventually found the three cutie mark crusaders at the schoolhouse. Rainbow scratched the back of her mane, wondering why they were there as she flew down to see the three fillies were talking to Cheerilee; the mare's face was bright pink, and she could see the teacher sweating profusely as she stammered, "loo...look, I think that we can talk about this later." "What are you talking about?" Rainbow asked out loud. Cheerilee turned to her with a glare at her and grumbled, "oh yes, what are we talking about? I think you forgot you told these foals to ask me about the birds and the bees?" Rainbow scratched her mane, now feeling somewhat embarrassed, and apologized, "Oh um, sorry about that..." The teacher gave a sigh, "it's fine; I've been planning a class about blep education, but I feel the foals are still too young." "Awwww," The crusaders all groaned. Cheerilee then continued, "we can talk about this in class when you're older; for now, you all need to get to the train before it leaves without you." "Ok," the three foals replied in unison as they scurried off. Rainbow Dash was going to do the same, but Cheerilee held up a hoof. "Are you sure you're doing ok? You're not going to have any more outbursts, right." "Don't worry about me. I'm fine!" Rainbow cried out as she waved a hoof and then flew off after the three fillies and then led them to the train station. When they got to the station, the cutie mark crusaders started to argue amongst each other. The daredevil mare rolled her eyes and just made sure the rest of the foals made it on the train; she glared at Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon as they went on board; it took a lot of self-restraint to keep her calm to not just explode at her. Once she was sure every foal was accounted for, she went inside the train, where she plopped down on the benches and then laid her head back. The mare was already starting to feel more exhausted than she usually did and wanted to take a nap on their way to the Crystal Empire. But then she saw Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom enter the train and noticed Scootaloo wasn't with them and asked, "hey? Where's Scootaloo?" "Oh, she decided to stay," The two grumbled irritably. "What!?" Rainbow Dash cried out in surprise; her heart almost stopped upon hearing the news. She then got furious, glaring at the two fillies, and stomped a hoof, "how could you just leave her like that!" "But...but...but." The two fillies stammered, being somewhat scared of her. "No buts, we're going to go back, find Scootaloo, and you two will apologize to her, understand?" Rainbow scolded them as if they were her foals. . "Yes, mam." The other two fillies responded once again. Rainbow took the two by the hoof as they flew off together through the air from the train as they headed to the train station. "Aww, looks like the cutie mark crusaders aren't going to be at the competition after all," Diamond Tiara jeered. "Hey! You watch your mouth, young lady!" Rainbow shouted, making the filly squeak as she jumped back from the window. The daredevil really wanted to give Diamond a piece of her mind. But, she needed to focus on finding Scootaloo and getting her back on the train. She soared along through the air and eventually came to the train station. Rainbow and the two fillies looked about but saw that she wasn't there. "Where can she be?" Rainbow Dash asked out loud. "Maybe she's heading back home? I mean, school's canceled for the day, and it's not like there's anything else going on?" Apple Bloom suggested. "And she came here by scooter; there's got to be tracks!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed. Rainbow ruffled the manes of the two fillies and complimented them. "good thinking, you two, let's follow the tracks; maybe we'll catch her before she reaches her house." The daredevil mare flew towards her house; she caught Scootaloo on her scooter heading home by herself. She flew right in front of her and held a hoof out, making the little, orange-coated filly squeaked as she braked in front of her. Scootaloo skidded the scooter bringing up a cloud of dust right before she hit Rainbow Dash. When the dust cleared, the angry little filly shouted, "Hey, what ya doing! You almost got hit! Rainbow was feeling very peeved with her as she thought she got through to her the night before and snapped, "what I'm doing, what are you doing? You just gonna bail on your teammates like that?" The orange filly glared at her and shouted, "stop acting like my mom! Ugh, what's gotten into you!" "Yeah, stop holding our hooves!" Apple Bloom snapped, pulling her hoof from Rainbow's hoof. The daredevil mare blinked she stepped back, seeing she was definitely acting more strangely than usual. It was clear they all needed a break and something to cool themselves off…literally. The daredevil mare then apologized, "Look... I'm sorry ok? You're not the only one dealing with issues…how about we all get some ice cream and talk things over? My treat?" The fillies all shouted, "sure!" The mare gave them a smile as she led the three foals down the street as they headed to Sugarcube Corner. Once the three foals were settled at a table, Mrs. Cake came over to serve them, "good morning; what do we have today?" "Vanilla ice cream milkshakes!" The cutie mark crusaders all exclaimed at once. "Wonderful choices!" Mrs. Cake chirped cheerfully; she then turned her attention to Rainbow, who was pondering what she wanted. She was having her odd cravings as she cleared her throat and asked, "I will have a strawberry milkshake mixed with hot fudge, along with a drizzle of hot sauce and topped with jalapenos." Mrs. Cake blinked as Rainbow snapped, "just let Pinkie make it, ok?" "Yeah...sure…" Mrs.Cake whispered as she wrote down the odd order; she then blushed and added, "oh um, congrats on the baby. If you need anything, I got plenty of foal supplies to spare." The cutie mark crusaders all snickered, but Rainbow wasn't really in the mood for jokes about her pregnancy and grumbled, "Yeah, save it, ok!? I'm not going to raise the baby," Mrs. Cake nodded and gave the mare some space, "right, sorry to intrude, I'll go get your orders." The big blue mare then went off to fetch their shakes. Rainbow settled in her seat as the three fillies all were sitting around, anxious for details about her pregnancy. "Ok, you want to know how I got pregnant too right?" Rainbow grumbled. Sweetie Belle scoffed, "we don't want to know how you got pregnant; yeah, Scootaloo told us all about that? Are you getting fatter? Rarity said she's making you some outfits when you get bigger." "Well, yeah, eventually, but I don't need to wear any special outfits," Rainbow snapped. Apple Bloom chirped, "I've seen cows get pregnant before, and their udders are huge! Ya gonna grow udders!?" "No! I'm not going to grow udders!" Rainbow scowled. Scootaloo snickered behind a hoof. "Oh, that would be hilarious! Rainbow would have big rainbow-colored udders!" The fillies all burst into laughter, making Rainbow snicker along with them; she could picture herself with rainbow-colored udders. "Alright, sweethearts, here's your milkshakes!" Mrs. Cake exclaimed. She then placed the vanilla milkshakes down for the foals and then gave Rainbow Dash the crazy (rather disgusting) looking milkshake to her. The fillies all stared at Rainbow Dash who took her milkshake and started to slurp it up. She moaned as the flavor of the ice cold ice cream hit her tongue along with the flavor of the hot sauce and jalapenos melding together. She continued drain her milkshake without realizing everypony else was watching. Scootaloo was the first to tease her. "Wow I've never seen ya drink a milkshake like that before? Must be those crazy cravings pregnant mares get?" Rainbow looked over at the orange filly with her cheeks flushing pink as she replied, "yeah something like that..." She also figured these new cravings were a result of her pregnancy but she was still unsure. Everything was feeling like a hurricane of emotions; she was frustrated at Scootaloo but at the same time wanted to do what she thought was best for her. She turned her attention to the small orange filly once more and continued, " look, I have to apologize to you for my behavior. Being pregnant is not an excuse for how I'm letting these crazy emotions control me. Still, it's hard to control how I feel...especially around you. I mean, I'm not trying to be your mom...maybe more like an older sister." Scootaloo finished her shake, then gave her a smile and replied, "right...I...I would like you as an older sister." Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle both blushed and dawwed, "awww, that's so cute…." "Shut it!" the two pegasi exclaimed. Rainbow Dash then sat back in her seat and sighed, "ok, now we need to talk about you being self-conscious about your flying. I thought we talked about this last night?" Scootaloo lowered her head and grumbled, "right...I mean, how can we have a team with a pegasus that can't fly? It's still bothering me…" Rainbow got up, seeing that she should let the three talk this out without her. "Well, I think that I did everything I could, and I think you should talk amongst yourselves; when you make a decision, let me know, and I'll zip you guys to the Crystal Empire myself." "Ok!" the three fillies chirped as she walked off out of Sugarcube Corner. She looked upward, knowing that Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle both will somehow get Scootaloo to change her mind. But at the very least, it would be their decision, not hers. Mrs. Cake came over with a smile, "I saw you; you're a natural with those foals." "What! No, I wasn't...I... I'm just…ugh, I don't want to be a mom like you, ok!" Rainbow shouted. Mrs. Cake held up a hoof, "I get it; I'm not trying to pressure you into giving up your dreams for a foal. But, I'm just saying I think you would be a wonderful mother, is all." "Sure...look... It's not like when I have this foal, I'm gonna bail on her...I just don't feel ready ...and I don't know...maybe I was taking out my emotions of not wanting a foal with my marefriend. Then with Scootaloo maybe I was taking out my emotions with her…I don't know what I want." The mare ranted; her cheeks flushed pink at the realization she was talking out loud. "Hmm, sounds like you just need to take your time making a decision," Cupcake responded as she placed a hoof on her shoulder. "Trust me, you think I was ready for foals? Especially twins?" Rainbow Dash snickered, "probably not, heck; we were all surprised! Pinkie kept telling us you guys had one foal for weeks!" She paused and then started to shake all over as the image of her holding two screaming baby alicorns came into her mind then exclaimed. "W...what if it's the same for me? What if I have twins?" Mrs. Cake blinked looking unsure then replied, "I thought you said the spell that made you pregnant would only make you have one baby." Rainbow Dash slammed a hoof to her face. "Ugh, like we know anything about magic! I need to be sure! I mean, what if that's why I'm having these cravings of wanting ice-cold food and spicy food mixed together!" Mrs. Cake held up a hoof. "Woah, slow down; we don't know anything yet, and you're jumping to conclusions." The Rainbow coated mare took a few deep breaths to get her bearings, then whispered. "Yeah, you're right; I'll look into it later." She then saw the cutie mark crusaders burst through the front doors and head off down the dirt road singing a song together. Rainbow couldn't help but chuckle, "It looks like they're back and ready to kick blep! Mrs. Cake then headed back to Sugarcube Corner and replied, "go after them and stop worrying about your choice right now; when the time comes, you'll make the right decision that's best for you and your foal...or foals." The daredevil mare gave one deep breath she was ready to go and be the best less emotional judge and whispered, “thanks Mrs.Cake." Rainbow was going to speed off after the trio but stopped as she realized that Mrs.Cake maybe the only mare she knew who had foals recently and could help her out. She gulped before asking, "before I go...you wouldn’t mind if I ask you advice on um...being pregnant?” “It would be my pleasure,” Mrs. Cake snickered as she bowed then Rainbow Dash with a smile flew off after the fillies feeling much, much more confident and with a clear head. Chapter Five: New SurprisesA few weeks after being a judge for the flag bearing, Rainbow Dash slowly woke up and looked over at her marefriend laying down in the bed next to her. It was early in the morning, with the moon and stars still shining outside. She groaned. Her body was already changing. She was already putting out with her blue belly-bloating outward, and the mare could feel pressure near her nether regions. She didn't even want to look downward. The daredevil mare knew that her teats were growing, and she didn't want to acknowledge that yet. Rainbow Dash went downstairs, and then they continued to make herself some herbal tea and take her vitamins. Winter slowly came over with a smile as she asked, "Hey, you heading out?" Rainbow shrugged and then added, "I told Twilight I was gonna help renovate the old castle in the Everfree forest; I also have a yoga lesson with Fluttershy, I have a doctor's appointment after that, I need to pick up tea from Zecora, today is just gonna be one heck of a busy day." Winter walked over and wrapped her hooves around Rainbow Dash and nuzzled her marefriend as she whispered, "I mean…it doesn't sound too bad, I personally can't wait for the doctor visit." Rainbow Dash slammed her hooves into her face and shouted, "I can't…I…I mean it's been about what two months!? And I'm gonna see our baby for the first time!" Winter stepped back and replied, "Hey, take it easy…also, did you just say our baby?" Rainbow cheeks flushed, but she wasn't sure why she said that it wasn't like the two pegasi made the foal through natural means and grumbled irritably, "It's not even our baby; it's just some random goddess that appeared out of nowhere." Winter looked downward as she whispered, "look, I know that it's not up to me and that you're still debating on whether or not you're going to keep the baby…but…I think we should raise her." Rainbow eyed her and asked, "you know foals are a lot of work, right?" "Honestly, until winter actually comes and winter wrap up, I'm just standing around doing nothing most of the time anyway." The goddess explained. Rainbow Dash shrugged. She wasn't sure yet of her decision, and she didn't want to give a definite answer. She turned to Winter and responded, "I… I'm still not sure about that yet, but we can talk more about this after the doctor's visit." She then walked over and kissed her mare friend on the lips, and they locked in their embrace for a while, just standing in the kitchen and making out. They eventually broke their embrace and then nuzzled her before whispered, "alright, I gotta get going…." "Alright, have fun," Winter whispered back as she watched the mare fly off. At Fluttershy's cottage, the daredevil mare was stretching her wings and back alongside her friend. Rainbow Dash was arching her back and loving the early morning air, with the fresh dew under her hooves. She spread out her wings, letting every feather she even felt the pressure in her nether regions being relieved. The daredevil had to admit she loved doing yoga and was quite happy with herself for joining in. Fluttershy then looked over and asked, "so how are things? You haven't talked all morning." "I know; I'm just nervous that I'm going to see my foal for the first time." Rainbow gave a deep sigh as she got out of her pose. Fluttershy got really excited and chirped, "oh wow! "That's wonderful! You're going to get pictures right!" "Um…uh…sure?" Rainbow stammered; she felt so awkward talking about her pregnancy so openly. The daredevil then changed her pose, going on her back and spreading out her legs and wings. Fluttershy then looked over at her friend, and her cheeks flush red. "oh wow? Your um…mammaries are getting rather big." Rainbow Dash squeaked as she shoved her hooves over her crotch area and shouted, "Hey, stop staring!" "S..s…sorry," Fluttershy whispered meekly as she laid down on her back and went and did the same pose as Rainbow Dash. As they laid next to each other, Fluttershy looked over and asked, "so…um…have you considered raising the foal here?" The blue-coated mare rolled her eyes; she knew Fluttershy wanted her to keep the foal, but again she was on the fence still and grumbled irritably, "maybe, but honestly, I'm not sure if I'm going to raise the foal. But then Winter comes out of nowhere and suggests she be the mother. I'm not sure if I'm being honest." "I…um…uh...think that um…oh never mind." Fluttershy stammered. Rainbow Dash eyed her friend and then asked, "just spit it out? What are you trying to say?" "I…um agree with Winter." The yellow-coated mare whispered meekly, and this made Rainbow then slowly got up on all fours then grumbled under her breath. "Yeah…yeah…but even if she watches the foal and becomes her mother, where does that leave me?" Fluttershy then got up too as she turned to her friend and replied, "I think you can be a mom and be where you've always been trying to be a Wonderbolt and being yourself." Rainbow Dash blinked, thinking things over. Was it really that simple can she raise her foal and be herself? Maybe she's overthinking things, but Fluttershy's words did ring true she might be able to do both. She got up to see the sun finally coming over the horizon; it was rather beautiful seeing the sunrise over the hill. And shining down on them, she then headed to the hospital. Rainbow Dash was lying down in a hospital bed at the hospital once again, looking up at the ceiling tiles above her. Redheart came over with a smile, "hello Rainbow Dash, sorry to keep you waiting." The daredevil mare just gave a sigh; she was trying to be patient, but she hated being in hospitals and grumbled, "it's fine; I guess you came back with my blood test results?" Redheart beamed a smile at Rainbow Dash and responded, "Yep, and you’re very healthy. I'm happy to see you're taking the vitamins I prescribed." Redheart then looked down with her cheeks flushing red as she looked down at Rainbow Dash's teats. "Before we check on your baby, I have to say your teats have grown substantially since your last appointment. I would suggest that we milk you; we can use your milk to help pregnant mares who are having trouble with lactation." "Stop! Ugh, no way! No one is drinking my milk!" Rainbow shouted as the nurse raised her hooves and stepped back. "Woah, woah, take it easy; if you don't want to do it now, it's fine." Winter then burst into the hospital room panting and looking rather frantic and shouted, "am I late!" "Nope, your right on time," Redheart replied with a smile as she waved a hoof. Winter was next to her holding her marefrend's hoof as the nurse took some cream and rubbed the cold cream over her belly; she shivered as she then saw the mare placing a wand on her stomach. Redheart then started to move the medical wand device on her. The two mares both watched the screen and saw that there was not one on the screen but two little blobs on the screen with the sound of a heartbeat reverberating outward.Nurse Redheart, Winter, and Rainbow Dash just gaped in awe as the daredevil mare's mouth was agape and whispered, "a...are…those what I think they are?" "Yep, it's twins…I can't tell their genders or what species they are yet…but yeah, they're twins," Redheart explained. "H…how!? I thought I was having only one foal?" Rainbow Dash cried out. Winter shook her head and grumbled, "did my magic seep into your body or something?" Redheart shrugged and replied. "Look, I don't know anything about magic; I just know what two fetuses are when I see them. I'm sorry, but that's just the facts." Rainbow rubbed a hoof over her face and groaned under her breath, "just great twins…." "Hey, I think that's great! At least our daughter is going to have a playmate!" Winter cheered as she clapped her hooves. Redheart shrugged as she replied, "We still don't know the gender of your goals yet; I don't care what mystic mumbo jumbo is going on here. So let's just wait until your next appointment to confirm that. Other than that, you're looking great; what are you doing to keep yourself active?" Winter snickered behind a hoof as Rainbow Dash just explained, "yeah, since I can't fly as much, yoga has been my way to exercise without straining myself, and supposedly it will help with the birth." Redheart nodded as she replied, "yes, that's very true; stretching is very much encouraged, helps with circulation and keeps your muscles limber when the baby comes…or I guess in your case, babies." Rainbow Dash still couldn't believe that she was having twins as she just gave an irritated sigh, "alright, thanks…." She then got up and headed out into the hallway with Winter and looked over at her. "Alright, I thought it over for a while…if you're willing to do most of the childcare, I'll keep the foal…guess foals now." Winter was surprised and responded, "wait…are you actually being serious? You're actually willing to keep the foals!" Rainbow Dash didn't want to be mean, but she had to be sure her marefriend knew what they were getting into. "Yeah…but your changing diapers, feeding, and caring for them alright; after the foals are born, I'm going to be busy trying to get into the Wonderbolts. I'm not letting anything get in the way of my dreams." Winter's eyes filled with tears as she hugged Rainbow. "Please, you're going to give birth to not one but two goddesses! It's never happened before, and I would be happy to be their mother." Rainbow gave her a sigh, feeling so relieved that Winter was excited and seemed to be ready to bear the bulk of raising the foals; she then hugged her marefriend back, wrapping her wings around her, and whispered, "alright,,, then… I'll keep the foals…." Rainbow Dash finally said it; the words came out of her mouth, and she felt like she was in a fever dream. At the very least, Winter seemed excited; she was still doubting whether she was willing to really ever deal with two foals; it was bad enough she was having one. They broke the embrace as Rainbow looked over at Winter and asked, "hey do you want to come with me to Zecora's? Then we can go help Twilight to renovate the castle." "Yeah, that sounds like a great idea; come on!" The goddess squealed as she took Rainbow's hoof, and they flew off through the halls. Rainbow Dash and Winter both were slowly walking through the Everfree Forest; she was heading to the former castle where the princesses lived, but her mind was stuck on thinking about how she found out she was having twins? She needed to talk to Comet and see if they knew what happened…she did have sex with Winter not long after their goddess went into her…but they were both mares; whatever happened was magical. "Hey, you've been quiet for a while? Do you wana talk about anything?" Winter asked as she looked over to her marefriend with a concerned expression on her face. Rainbow Dash shrugged, "we sort of talked about everything we needed to back at the hospital. It's still just a shock to me that I'm having twins." Winter nuzzled her, "come on! More foals, the merrier, I say!" Rainbow Dash just nuzzled back; she didn't want to ruin Winter's excitement over the news. They then found themselves at Zecora's hut and saw the open. Standing before them was the mysterious Zecora, who stood there with a smile as she asked, "It's nice to see that you came for more tea." Winter stuck a hoof out, "well, it's my pleasure meeting you, Zecora." "Yes, Winter, it is a pleasure meeting you too." The zebra chimed as she shook the goddess's hoof. They then went inside the hut where Rainbow Dash was left, standing there shaking quite nervously. Rainbow Dash was feeling somewhat nervous as she stammered, "Yeah…also…um I don't know if this information is in regards to your herbal tea, but I…um… I'm having twins…." "I know, that already my dear, so there's no reason to fear," Zecora explained as she gave her a little package full of premade tea bags. Rainbow Dash was somewhat surprised, "wait, you knew I was having twins!? How!" Zecora laughed, "I used to help plenty of pregnant mares back at my home; this isn't, as Applejack would say, is not my first rodeo." Winter shook her head, "I should've realized she had twins sooner myself." "Like how would we even know! We were told that I was having only one foal!" Rainbow shouted angrily, seeming to be still pissed that she was having twins. She didn't notice that Zecora went around her to take a look at her backside. "Your teats are quite bloated, I fear; I do believe they need to be milked, my dear." "Don't you dare! I already told Nurse Redheart nopony is touching my teats!" She snapped back. Zecora shook her head and explained, "if they keep swelling with no relief, you're only going to give yourself grief." Rainbow Dash groaned as she thought things over, to be fair, Zecora had a valid point; her teats were starting to hurt; it was like she was holding in her pee. On top of that has been a lot more helpful than nurse Redheart…and she was the first pony she told she was pregnant that wasn't a friend. Rainbow Dash pointed a hoof at the zebra and shouted, "Fine…but you tell nopony about this ever!" Zecora bowed and responded with a smile, "of course, my dear, now hold still this might feel weird, I fear." She then bent down next to the daredevil mare with a bucket. Rainbow had to look away as her cheeks flushed pink. She then felt the cold touch of Winter's hoof touching her's, and she felt ready like a foal bracing itself for a shot. Then she felt her teats being held by Zecora's cold hooves; the daredevil shivered and braced herself as she felt the pressure being relieved from beneath her. The mare could hear the milk hitting the pail first like rainwater hitting metal. Then the sound turned to more of a plopping sound with the smell of her…milk…coming forth. She turned to see Winter was enjoying this with that cute smile printed on her face, but at the very least, she knew Winter wouldn't tell any pony about this either. Zecora held the pail up as she poured it into the giant jar; she replied, "now, I suggest we take this milk to the hospital as a loan to help mothers who can't produce milk of their own. Rainbow grumbled under her breath; she didn't like the idea of being treated like a cow. But her babies aren't coming out for several more months, and there wasn't much else she could do with it either. Winter then gave her those adorable puppy dog eyes and relented once more." Fine, I'll donate my milk to the hospital, but you do it and don't tell anypony where it comes from, understand?” "I will make sure nopony is aware, where this milk comes from, I swear." Zero chimed, sealing the jug and lugging it onto her back. Rainbow looked away, still feeling so embarrassed that she produced so much milk. "No, I must go to the hospital for this burden I must relieve; however, do you need anything else before I leave?" Zecora asked, grunting a bit due to the weight of the milk. "Um…nothing…and um thanks… you've been a big help," Rainbow mumbled; she felt both embarrassed and a bit guilty for putting Zecora through all of this. But the zebra just beamed her another smile and replied, "it's what I do; I know the pain you're going through." Rainbow turned her head away, feeling even more guilty now! She knew Zecora came from a distant land, but she never explained her past…not to this extent. She scratched the back of her mane, wondering if maybe she could give her some pointers on her specific situation, and asked, "Um...have you ever heard of a mare being pregnant with a goddess?" Zecora stood there for a moment and replied, "Well, I have heard of a tale from far away that a mortal gave birth to a goddess who was then known as a goddess herself on that day." "Yeah, forget I said anything," Rainbow stammered as she left with Winter following from behind. The last thing she wanted to do is be referred to as a goddess of maternity or something like that. Now she's giving her breastmilk to other mares. The idea made her quiver; she needed to just go help with the renovations and forget she's pregnant for a bit. Chapter one: What happens at Phoenixopolis...Rainbow Dash was rather excited as she soared through the air with her marefriend Winter; she seemed to be relatively calm flying beside the pony she loves.
