The changeling and his son
Crystal Empire
In the Crystal Empire, the ponies of the town were all seen having a wonderful chat with each other about how their lives are going as well as doing work, while the young's were playing with each other in playgrounds like they always do in their daily lives.
Life is steady in the Empire.
In the Crystal Empire castle, Thorax the changeling was seen strolling through the second floor hallway while humming in a contented manner, and he was seen making his way to his son's bedroom. Today, he has planned to do some entertaining activities with his son after he heard from his wife Twilight that he helped her do some of her chores which made him very proud. The reason behind why he wants to do some activities with him is because this would be a good day for a father and son bonding moment.
"Okay, here I am." Thorax said as he stood in front of his son's bedroom door "Time for a father and son day." He finished.
Then, Thorax gripped into the door handle with his magic and pulled it open. He looked through the door and saw his six years old son sitting on his studying chair while doing what looks to be like a mathematics exercise book, he then let out a warm smile due to him seeing the perfect moment to do some activities. So, he walked through the door.
"Alistair."
When Alistair heard his father, he turned around and looked at him.
"Oh hello father." Alistair greeted with a smile.
"Hello buddy, what are you doing right now?" Thorax asked as he bent down.
"Just doing some mathematics exercise book because, maths is one of my favourite subjects." He replied.
"That's cool, I'm good at maths as well." He told him "Also, I heard how you helped your mother with some of her chores last week, and I gotta say, I'm proud of you my son." He added in a proud tone.
"Oh it's nothing dad, I just wanted to be the son that she needs." Alistair said, and that made Thorax even more prouder. Then, he switched to the main subject.
"Anyways, Alistair, since today is a bright sunny day, do you want to do some activities with me?" He asked.
When Alistair heard this, he began to ponder, although he does love to read books and do exercise books during his free time but, he didnt mind to spend some time with his father. In addition to that, he would be able to move his hooves at least.
"Sure father." Alistair replied with a nod "I would love to do some activities with you, I can also get some sunlight shining in me." He added.
"Wonderful!" Thorax exclaimed with a wide smile, after that, he levitated his son up in the air and placed him on his back "Now come on, let us have a father and son moment." He told him. After that, Thorax began to make his way to the door of his son's room. Once he got to it, he exited it and made a right turn.
At the garden of the Crystal Empire castle, Thorax and Alistair were seen standing in a distance of fifty centimetres from each other, and Thorax was seen holding a soccer ball in his hooves, the changeling has decided to play some soccer with his son, and this was his first time.
"Okay son, this is a soccer ball." Thorax told him "Soccer is a sport that involves eleven or more ponies to play, the goal of soccer is to manuver the ball until you shoot it into the other team's net, therefore, you'll score a goal. However, there are some exceptions, and that is, you are not allowed to hold the ball otherwise you'd be declared foul. In soccer, only the goalkeeper can hold the ball with their hooves." He delineated.
Alistair took a while to comprehend his father's complex statement. Although soccer does sounds more difficult than dodgeball but, he is always open to learn and try new things in order to give himself a challenge. But, he does not treat problems in a simplistic manner, otherwise, he would make mistakes.
"Okay father, I understand." He told him.
"Okay, so I'm gonna roll the ball towards you and your going to kick it back to me okay?" He asked, and Alistair responded with a nod.
Then, Thorax placed his front right hoof on the ball and gently rolled it towards his son.
When Alistair saw the round ball with white and black coloured hexagons and pentagons patterns on it rolling towards him. He positioned himself and prepared to kick it. A brief moment later, the ball has reached him and Alistair gently kicked it. When his hoof made contact with it, the ball was now slowing rolling backwards and towards Thorax.
"Not bad son." Thorax said with an impressed expression.
It took seven seconds for the ball to roll back to the changeling, and when it did, Thorax bent down and picked it up due to a plan being formulated in his head.
"Alright Alistair, this time, I'm gonna throw the ball onto the ground and let it roll towards you okay?" Thorax asked.
"Okay daddy."
After that, Thorax swung his right hoof back and threw the ball on the ground. When the ball made contact with it, it bounced up and began to bounce its way to Alistair.
Alistair was a bit worried due to the ball bouncing so high and fast towards him.
"Oh no uh... Yah!" Alistair shouted as he turned around and kicked the ball with his back hooves. Now, the ball was flying back towards Thorax.
"OOOOOF!"
When Alistair heard the whimper, he turned around and saw his father on the ground with his hooves holding his privates, the young changelicorn Prince must assume that he has inadvertently hit his father in his private area with the ball.
"Dad!" Alistair exclaimed in shock. He then ran up to him and began to muzzle his face in attempt to sooth his excruciating experience "I'm so sorry, my reflexes were too quick." He apologized in a shameful tone.
"It's okay son." Thorax groaned slightly "Let's try something else shall we?" He asked.
"Okay."
For their next activity, Thorax has decided to take his son Alistair a walk through town to greet his subjects as well as to get some more fresh air after their sports session. During their walk, many ponies were seen waving at the changeling Thorax as well as his son Alistair in a happy and exhilarated manner which both of them returned by waving back.
"You see Alistair, when you grow up and become the new ruler of Equestria along with your cousin Flurry, you'll become the ponies guardians." Thorax told him with a smile.
"That's what I intend of becoming father, I would do anything to protect the ponies lives even if that costs my life." He told him in a brave tone "After all, they are my subjects, and none of them are expandable." He finished.
Thorax was proud and impressed by Alistair's brave talk, he just couldn't help but rub his head in a loving manner due to the amount of heroism inside of him.
"That's very heroic and brave of you my son." Thorax said with a smile.
"Thank you dad." Alistair said with a smile "I will take out enemies with my magic, if that doesn't work, I will fend them off with my karate moves!" He exclaimed as he got into his karate stance.
Then, Alistair began to do punches and kicks at every direction to show off his martial arts moves his father which he chuckled at. But suddenly, the changeling Prince did a back-kick and kicked his father in the chest.
"Oooof!" Thorax grunted.
Alistair's eyes immediately widened in horror after he realized that he accidentally kicked his father. Luckily, his subjects did not witness it due to them busy talking with each other.
"Oh! I'm sorry dad!"
"It's okay son." Thorax told him "Just be careful next time, do not punch or kick in public spaces other than your karate studio." He said.
"Okay."
"Good, now let's go somewhere else."
Thorax and Alistair were now seen in one of the playgrounds in the Crystal Empire. The changeling was seen resting on a bench under a tree while watching his son playing happily on the swing. Life was wonderful for him along with his wife and son. The changeling then closed his eyes and began to rest.
Alistair was playing on the swing in a merriment manner due to how hight he is going. However, when he looked to his right, he saw his father sleeping on the bench. Then, an evil grin appeared on his muzzle.
"Time for some fun."
After that, Alistair placed his hooves on the ground and stopped himself from swinging on the swing. Then, he jumped off of it and a filly got on. Finally, he began to make his way to where his father is.
Once Alistair reached his father, he levitated his water bottle that his father bought for him in the market. After that, he twisted the lid open and sipped some of the water and kept it in his mouth. Then, the young Prince twisted the lid back on the water bottle and placed it next to him. Finally, he looked up and spat water directly at his father's face.
The sudden feeling of water collided in Thorax's face has provoked him to wake up. After that, he began to breath.
"Ugh, what the hay?"
Thorax then looked down and saw his son on the ground on his back laughing uncontrollably, he must assume that he has spat water at his face considering the water bottle next to him.
"Oh you think that's funny eh?"
Then, Thorax activated his horn and levitated his son up in he air. After that, he brought him towards him and began to tickle him, the tickling has caused he young Prince to laugh even harder.
"Hahahahaha!"
"You pull a prank on daddy, he tickles you back." Thorax said in a playful tone.
It is nighttime now in the Crystal Empire and the ponies were seen heading back home for some dinner or a nap.
On the street, Thorax the changeling was seen making his way back to the castle while carrying his worn out son on his back. Alistair got extremely fatigued after his time at the playground. He and him have already had dinner at a nearby food stand.
"Hooves down, this was one happy and gaiety day." Thorax said with a smile. He looked at his son on his back and saw that he was sleeping while snoring adorably. "Let's get you back to bed buddy." He said.
A minute later, Thorax has reached the front gates of the castle where two guards saluted to the Prince and pushed the gates open. Thorax thanked the two guards for their kindness first before walking through the gates. Then, the changeling walked towards the front doors of the castle, when he got to it, he charged his horn and pushed the two doors open. Finally, he entered the castle, closing the doors behind him in the process.
Once Thorax was in the castle, he began to make his way to the staircase in front of him in order to get to the second floor so that he can get to his son's room and he can rest him on his bed. But then, a voice stopped him.
"Thorax."
Thorax then turned around and saw his wife Twilight walking up to him with her maid uniform on, she still looked very elegant in that cute dress of her's.
"Hello Twinkle's, how are you?" Thorax greeted quietly in order not to wake up his son.
"I'm doing good Thory but, where have you been?" She asked with a perplexed expression.
"Oh, I just went out on a father and son bonding time with our son." He replied.
Twilight looked at her son who was on her husband's back and noticed that he was sound asleep. The sight has made her smile warmly.
"Guess all of that amusement has made our son fatigued eh Thory?" She asked with a giggle.
"Indeed baby." He said with a chuckle "Anyways, I'm gonna bring my son up to his room so that he can sleep, after that, I will come down and help you with the rest of your chores okay?" He told her.
"Okay." Twilight said with a nod "And be sure to tell our son that I said sweet dreams to him as well okay?" She asked.
"I will Twinkle's, I will." Thorax said with a nod.
But, before Thorax left, he and Twilight shared a quiet and tender kiss so that their son wouldn't hear. After holding each other for a brief second, they both released and chuckled quietly.
"I'll be back soon to help you baby." Thorax said as he walked back while still looking at her.
"And I'll be waiting for you handsome." Twilight cooed with a wink. Then, she blew him a kiss.
Thorax blushed slightly from his wife's previous exertion, she is definitely the most cutest and beautiful pony he has ever met! A brief second later, Thorax turned around and began to head to his son's bedroom.
Today sure was a merriment father and son bonding day.
