Being Captain of the Royal Guard in Canterlot is an honor only one can ever have at any given time. Captain Spell Break served the Princess for many, many years, but it is now his time to retire. With the position now open, maybe eager and ambitious guards vie for the promotion. Wanting to help her lover, Princess Cadance suggested Shining Armor, but her aunt was skeptical. Willing to do anything to help him, she pesters and pleads with Celestia for weeks before she finally agrees to give Armor a chance. Excited, she goes to tell him of the news, while the Princess prepares for his trial.
