Chapters TAF: James in a Mess / Percy’s porridge / Cab over wheels
It was a rainy day on the island and all the ponies and engines were wet wet wet.Sir Tophom Hatt had sent a new tank engine to the island of Sodor.He’s painted blue,Has six black drive wheels,And he has the number 24 on his boiler.
“I can’t wait to see Wilbert!” Said Spike excited.But,Sir Tophom Hatt had some bad news.
“I’m sending Wilbert to help Duck.I’m afraid you can’t meet him,Now.” He said.”Your Job for today is delivering several trucks to Vicorstown.”This made Spike and Percy sad.Percy was coupling up to his trucks in the yard when Pinkie and Rosie arrived.
“Just the sort of weather when you need porridge for breakfast.” Laughed Pinkie.
“What’s porridge?” Percy asked.
“Well,You boil oatmeal and water which will make a sticky soup.Then,You add milk and sugar.” Said Spike.
“Mmmm.Delicious.” Said Pinkie.
“Applejack and Edward are getting the sacks of oatmeal soon and deliver it to the market.” Said Rosie as she and Pinkie left.Applejack and Edward soon picked up the picked up the sacks of oatmeal for the farm and set off to the market.Suddenly,They spotted that the track was flooded by the rain.Rosie splashed through the puddle and came to a complete stop.
“My firebox is out!” Cried Edward.
“Well,This can’t get worse.” Said Applejack.But,She was wrong.The splash was so big,It got the sack of oatmeal wet turning the dry oatmeal into a sticky soup.As Spike and Percy rounded a bend,They spotted Edwards train ahead.
“Watch out!” Cried Spike as he applied the brakes.But,It was too late.Percy’s smashed into the back of the train Andy came off the track.The porridge flew the air bad splattered all over Spike and Percy.
“Ew!Gross!” Groaned Percy.Applejack and Edward laughed.
“I guess you found out porridge the hard way.You were supposed to eat it.Not wear it.” Laughed Applejack.Spike and Percy felt most embarrassed.Soon,Wilbert came to the rescue with the breakdown train.This made Spike and Percy happy.
“I heard you were going to meet me.But,I didn’t expect it in this way.” Said Wilbert.
“Wilbert,It’s you!” Gasped Spike happily.
“Sorry.We kinda got ourselves in a sticky situation.” Said Percy.”We’ll go fetch Pinkie to eat this mess while you organize the derailed trucks.”
“Sure thing.” Said Wilbert.After Percy was lifted back on the rails,He and Spike left to find Pinkie and Rosie while Wilbert started to lift the trucks back on track.A few minutes later at the sheds,Spike was washing the incomplete porridge off Percy and himself and Pinkie was as fat as a sumo wrestler after eating all that incomplete porridge.
“What up,Wilbert.” Said Spike.
“Nice to see you,Again.” Said Wilbert before he looked at Pinkie.”Looks like you’ve gone on a diet.”
“You can say that again.” Muffled Pinkie.
“I’m happy that you helped me and Spike out of that mess.” Said Percy.And so,Spike and Percy made a new friend.

A new engine has just arrived on the island.He is brown and has the number 23 on his side.His name is Toby and he works hard with his coach Henrietta.Rarity and James weren’t happy because they were a little dusty.
“Yuck!What dirt objects!” Groaned James.
“James,Why are you red?” Toby asked.
“Because I am a splendid engine.” Said James.
“You can say that again.” Said Rarity.”We as easy for anything.You never see us dirty.”
“Oh.” Said Toby.”Thats why you once needed boot laces to be ready I suppose.”James went redder than ever and snorted off.
“What’s wrong,Jamesy?” Rarity asked.
“I just have been reminded when I had a boot lace used to mend a hole in my coach!” Growled James.
“That is crazy!” Gasped Rarity.”Someone should have used tools instead.”At Knapford station,James dropped off his coaches and got ready for his next train.It was a slow goods stopping at every station to pick up and drop off trucks.James and Rarity hated slow goods.”This is truly dreadfully terrible!”
“You an say that again!” Growled James as he collected the first set of trucks.”Us shunting dirty trucks on dirty sidings!Ugh!”Staring with only a few,They picked up more and more trucks from each station until they had a long train.The trucks chuckled.
“Let’s play tricks on Rarity and James.” Whispered a truck.The silly trucks passed the words to the others one by one.Soon,They reached Gordon’s hill. Rarity and James didn’t heard the trucks chuckling about their plan. They were too busy thinking what they would say to Toby when they next met.
When they aproached the top,The trucks chance had came.”On!On!On!Faster!Faster!”Bumping into each other,They pushed Rarity and James down the hill.
“We’ve got to stop!” Cried Rarity.”Hit the brakes!” James slammed on his brakes and he tried to slow down.But,They were still going too fast.They raced through Edward’s station.When they steamed into the yard,Disaster struck!There were tar tankers ahead.
“Oh no!Rarity,Brace yourself!” Yelled James as he crashed into the tar tankers and came off the track.The tar sprayed all over Rarity and James.Luckily,No one was hurt.But,The tankers and some trucks were in pieces.Toby then came to the rescue with the breakdown train.
“Guess that teaches you a lesson for teasing me.” He chuckled.Rarity and James felt very embarrassed and knew toby was right.

On day on the island,Twilight,Thomas,And Wilbert were working at the quarry.This as Wilbert’s first job on the island.They were busy loading trucks with stone and shunting them into a long line ready to be taken to the docks by Fluttershy and Henry.
“Twilight,Thomas,Thank you for volunteering to help me at the quarry.” Said Wilbert.
“No prob.” Said Twilight.
“Be careful!” Called Thomas.”Troublesome trucks can be really troublesome.”But,Wilbert wasn’t listening.He was too excited to be help the number one engine on Sir Tophom Hatt’s railway.This gave the troublesome trucks a naughty idea.As Wilbert pushed them under the chute,They surged forward.
“On!On!On!” They yelled.
“Uh oh.” Moaned Wilbert as he heard the sound of the chute above him.The stone poured down all over Wilbert.
“I told you.” Said Thomas.”Trucks are trucks.”
“Come on,Twilight,Thomas,There’s nothing to worry about.I can handle this.” Coughed Wilbert.Later,Wilbert was shunting trucks of stone to get them in the line for Henry’s train.The workman is now walking to the switch to send Wilbert in the right direction.But,As Wilbert started to slow down,The trucks surged forward.
“Faster!Faster!” They yelled.
“Hey!Take it easy!” Groaned Wilbert as he tried to apply the brakes.He was going so fast,The workman didn’t had enough time to switch Wilbert to the other trucks.Wilbert raced onto a small bank hill where the tracks are above ground.The tracks were structured to hold trucks.But,Not engines.
“Wilbert,Slow down!” Cried Twilight.But,It was too late.The tracks couldn’t take Wilberts weight and the rails snapped beneath him.The trucks tumbled off the track and Wilbert rolled cab over wheels down the bank.He hit the bottom with a crash and lied on his side.
“Ouch.” Moaned Wilbert.
“That’s gonna leave a mark.” Said Thomas.Later,Twilight attached a chain to Wilbert and Thomas pulled him back onto the tracks.That evening,Wilbert on a flatbed waiting to be taken to the Steamworks.Twilight and Thomas came to take him there.
“I’m sorry,Twilight and Thomas.” Said Wilbert sadly.”I should have listened to you about the trucks.”
“It’s also dangerous to go past a danger sign.” Said Twilight.
“She’s right.” Said Thomas.”I fell down a mine and Spike and Percy fell into the sea.”
“You see,The truth is an old friend of mine did the same mistake.Sheffield.”
“Who’s Sheffield?” Twilight asked.
“He is my twin brother who worked on the mainland with me.One day,He went to work at the steelworks and he ignored the danger sign and got into the same accident I had.I should have remembered the same mistake he did.”The next day,Wilbert was as good as knew and he learned his lesson about trucks.
