A good lesson for a Queen
Thorax the changeling King, and Twilight Sparkle the Princess of Friendship, the element of Magic, and the leader of the elements of Harmony are officially married in the land of Equestria. They wedding was held in Canterlot castle and the mane five, Spike, Princess Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Shining Armor, Nightlight and Twilight Velvet were so happy for the couple.
Twelve months later, Twilight has given birth to a healthy alicorn and changeling hybrid colt whom they named Alistair. His interests are chemistry, magic, mathematics, medical and sports. The couple were so contented to have a family.
Life was perfect for the changeling and the alicorn.
Changeling Hive
In the Changeling Hive, Queen Twilight Sparkle was seen reading one of her favourite books in her husband and five year old son's private library on the third floor of the hive which was the floor only them, guards and chefs could access, if one of her subjects wants to enter, they would have to ask for permission from the guards.
"Wow, this book is fun to read." Twilight said with a smile.
However, her reading session was put to a close when she heard the library door opening. The alicorn Queen turned around and saw her son Alistair walking up towards her with an exercise book in front of him.
"Oh hello honey, is that your maths homework?"
"Yes." Alistair replied with a nod "I have completed everything!" He told her with a large smile.
Twilight then activated her horn and levitated the maths exercise book in front of her. Then, she began to check his homework on the page that read geometry. A minute later, Twilight looked down on her son with a smile on her muzzle.
"Well done baby, you've got this all correct again." Twilight said in a proud tone. Then, she brought her hoof down and gently patted her son's head.
"Thank you mommy." Alistair said with a smile as he took his book back"Ah anyways, I'm gonna do some experiments in my laboratory now." He told her.
"Okay, have fun baby."
"I will mommy."
After that, Alistair turned around and began to make his way to the library door. Once he got to it, he charged his horn and pushed the two doors open. Then, he made a right turn and began to make his way to his laboratory.
Twilight let out a warm smile due to her son being a very successful hybrid, in the future he would even be a successful King who spreads friendship around Equestria after she and her husband retires.
Twilight then decided to get another book to read so, she stood up from her chair, turned around and walked to one of the bookshelf while still reading the book in her hoof.
However, at the door of the library, King Thorax was seen peeking through the small cream of the door after seeing his son walking by. He saw his wife Twilight trying to grab a book while reading one on her hoof, the sight has made him shake his head in disappointment.
"I gotta teach her a lesson." Thorax said with an evil grin.
After that, he carefully and quietly entered the library in order to not get heard by his wife. Then, he began to sneak his way towards him while holding a certain green object in his right hoof.
Once Thorax got to his wife in a distance of six centimeters from her without her hearing him, he slowly raised right hoof and pressed a small button on his tool.
*BEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!*
"AHHH!" Screamed Twilight.
The tumultuous sound has startled Twilight that she dropped her book on the floor. She turned around and saw her husband laughing slightly from the hysterical exertion he just did, she also saw a green coloured air horn in his right hoof, the alicorn Queen must assume that her husband startled her with the air horn.
"Are you kidding me?!" Twilight exclaimed indignantly.
"Focus on what you're doing Twinkle's." Thorax teased "Or else, you'll end up wasting your time." He told her with a cheeky grin.
Twilight was very aggravated by this so, she raised her right hoof and attempted to hit her husband for scaring her like that.
When Thorax noticed this, he turned around and ran out of the library with his wife chasing him from behind, and they were chasing each other in a playful way.
In the afternoon, Thorax, Twilight and Alistair were all seen taking a trip to the grocery store in Ponyville to purchase some ingredients that they need for tonight's dinner. Both Twilight and Alistair were seen in the vegetables section, while Thorax was seen in the sauce section.
"Oh where is it?" Twilight said while looking through the shelves "Ugh, why does everything have to be so difficult?" She asked with and irked expression.
"Is this what you're looking for mommy?" Alistair asked.
Twilight then looked down at her son and saw that he was holding up a bag of broccolis. Then, a smile appeared on her face.
"Yes that's it." Twilight said happily, she then grabbed the bag and tucked it inside of her shopping bag. After that, she looked down at her son with a proud smile "Thank you so much sweetheart." She said as she patted on her son's head.
"You're welcome mommy." Alistair said with a smile "Is there anything else that you need to buy?" He asked.
Twilight then levitated a piece of paper about the list of ingredients that she needs to buy for dinner. The top section has been completed, and there's only one more left.
"Can you go get me one of those large bottles of water so that we can refill our water cooler?" Twilight asked "We needed to save some for our subjects leaving none for us." She told him.
Alistair was a bit uncertain about this, he is still very young and short, therefore, it would be very difficult for him to carry it but, he pushed that aside and remained confident because, he is always willing to oblige with his mother's and subjects requests. After all, he will be the future King of the land, in addition to that he will be their guardian that they need.
"Okay mom, I'll be back as soon as I can." Alistair told her in a loyal voice.
"That's my sweet little colt."
After that, the young changelicorn turned around and began to run to the section where drinks were sold.
Twilight was smiling warmly at the sight of her son always being happy and willing to help. He sure is growing up very fast. Then, the alicorn decided to wait for her son by reading a book that she brought back from the hive. She flipped over the pages until she stopped on the page that she was reading.
"Alright, back to reading."
Twilight was intrigued completely by this book, it has details and informations about the creatures of the Everfree forest, the book would be very practical in case of any timber wolves or manticores that menaces any of her subjects. But suddenly, her reading session was put to an end when a loud sound was heard.
*BEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!*
The ear-splitting noise has startled Twilight again which made her drop her book on the floor. She turned around and saw Thorax grinning at her while holding the same air horn in his right hoof.
"What the hay Thorax?!" Twilight exclaimed.
"You should go help our son Twinkle's." Thorax told her while snickering "He is still young so therefore, it will take him some time to push a large and cumbersome one litre bottle." He finished.
Twilight wanted to hit her husband again but, he was veracious that her son might need some help with pushing such a heavy object filled with water, and her telling her son to do it alone was a bit impudent of her. A brief second later, Twilight let out a vexed groan.
"Alright."
After that, Twilight bent down, picked the book up and stood up. Then, she began to make her way to the drinks section where her son is. Leaving Thorax standing there with a smile.
"This tool is quite useful." He said while looking down on it.
Twenty minutes after the shopping trip, the family have decided to do some chores. Alistair was vacuuming his bedroom, while his parents were mopping their bedroom.
In Thorax and Twilight's room, the couple were seen mopping different sections of the bedroom. The changeling was mopping the back, while the alicorn was mopping the front. Everything seemed to be going smoothly.
The changeling King has decided to check how his wife is holding up and to see if she needed any succour from him so, he looked to where she is. When he did, he saw her once again reading a book while mopping, the sight has made him roll his eyes in aggravation once again.
"I guess it's time for me to do the thing again." Thorax thought with a cheeky grin.
The changeling King rested the mop against the wall and slowly and cautiously began to make his way to his wife with his air horn once again. When he got to her, he raised his right hoof up again and pressed the button on the air horn.
*BEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!*
"Ah!" Twilight screamed.
She turned around and saw her husband snickering from his previous exertion.
"Are you kidding me?!"
"You were doing your work and mopping at the same time." Thorax told her.
"I was mopping!" She told him.
"You were reading your book and doing nothing." He told her "You've got a problem, our son doesn't do what you do." He finished.
"I swear I'm gonna kick you right between your back hooves after this." Twilight warned him in a detrimental tone which made him chuckle.
7:00pm
It is nighttime now in Equestria and King Thorax, Queen Twilight and Prince Alistair were seen getting ready to eat some dinner. Today's meal was spaghetti with pasta sauce. The changeling King was finished cooking the spaghetti and Twilight placed them in different bowls, putting pasta sauce on them in the process. After that, she began to make her way to the dinning table where her son is already seated.
"Here's your spaghetti sweetie." Twilight cooed as she placed the plate of spaghetti in front of him.
"Thanks mom."
The changelicorn Prince then grabbed a fork with his right hoof and prepared to eat. But before that, he looked in front of him and saw his mother reading a book.
"Mom, I think you should probably eat first then read otherwise your food would be cold." Alistair told her.
"It's okay son." Twilight said putting her book down and looking at him with a smile "Ill just read for a bit and-"
Twilight immediately stopped in her sentence when she saw her son putting his fork down and covering his ears with his hooves, the sight has made her bewildered.
"Why are you covering your ears honey?" Twilight asked with a raise of her eyebrow.
Then, the alicorn Queen got her answer when a loud sound was produced.
*BEEEEEEEEEP!!!*
Twilight flinched from the tumultuous sound which resulted in her dropping her book on the floor. She turned around and saw her husband standing behind her with his air horn in his right hoof. He was also seen laughing slightly.
"Are you serious right now?!" Twilight exclaimed with a furious expression.
"Focus on your meal Twinkle's, you would not want your food to be cold like what our son said."
Twilight was very infuriated right now, she wanted to teach her husband a lesson. So, she stood up from her chair and ran up to him. When Thorax noticed this, he turned around and rushed out of the dinning room with his wife chasing him from behind. Leaving Alistair perplexed.
"Meh, I'll just eat." Alistair said with a shrug. After that, the young Prince grabbed his fork and scooped onto his spaghetti. Then, he placed it in his muzzle and began to chew on it with a pleasant smile on his muzzle.
10:00pm
It is late at night now in Equestria, and the Changelings and ponies of the changeling Hive were all seen returning to their homes to sleep and call it a day.
On the third floor of the Changeling Hive, Twilight Sparkle was seen tucking her son Alistair in bed while her husband was brushing his teeth.
"Goodnight mommy." Alistair said quietly.
"Goodnight honey." Twilight cooed as she kissed her son on the cheek. Then, her son drifted into sleep.
After that, Twilight stood up and turned around to face her son's bedroom door. She walked up to it, pushed the doors open with her hooves and gently closed it from behind to prevent waking up her son and his roommate Vector the tegu reptile.
Once Twilight has accomplished all of those, she turned to her left and began to head to her and her husband's bedroom where she will go to sleep with her husband.
In Thorax and Twilight's bedroom, King Thorax was seen lying on bed while waiting for his beloved who was putting his son to sleep. Then on cue, the doors to their bedroom was pulled open. The changeling looked in front of him and saw his wife Twilight entering the bedroom.
"Is our son asleep?"
"Yes he is Thory." Twilight replied walking up to the bed.
"That's wonderful." Thorax said with a smile.
Twilight then got on the bed and lied down next to her husband. After that, she pulled the blanket over her torso and rested her back against her pillow.
"Goodnight Twinkle's." Cooed Thorax.
"Goodnight Thory." Cooed Twilight.
Before they went to sleep, the couple shared a tender kiss. After holding each other for a brief second, they released and Thorax slept.
However, Twilight was seen checking on her husband to see if he was awake or not, and when she saw that his eyes weren't moving, she must assume that he was asleep.
"Now I can read my book." Twilight whispered.
Then, the alicorn charged her horn and teleported her book in front of her and began to read it, which was a decision that she was going to regret.
Thorax slowly opened his eyes and look at his left only to see his wife reading a book again and not sleeping. Then, the changeling reached for his air horn that he hid behind his pillow and brought it near his wife. After that, he pressed the button.
*BEEEEEEEEEP!!!*
"AH!" Twilight screamed as she dropped her book on the floor. She looked to her right and saw her husband was awake and was holding an air horn.
"Are you kidding me again?!" Twilight exclaimed indignantly.
"You were awake."
"I was asleep." Twilight lied.
"No you weren't. You were reading your book again."
"Thory, why do you keep preventing me from reading a book?" Twilight asked wanting to get answers "We both love books along with our son." She told him.
"True but, your ignorance of the environment around you can get our subjects including you and our son maimed." He told her.
When Twilight heard this, she began to reflect on what she has done today, she has done nothing but reading a book while walking around Ponyville and the Changeling Hive, she then realized that her actions could've injured her subjects as well as herself! Her son included. A brief second later, she let out a sigh.
"I guess you're right Thory." Twilight sighed "I will always focus on my current obligation before doing another, and I will never ever do things at the same time." She told him.
"Wonderful!" Thorax exclaimed in a contented tone "I hope you've learned your lesson " he told her.
"And I did honey." Twilight said as she lied down on the bed. "Well, goodnight." She cooed.
"Goodnight."
The couple shared one last tender kiss for a brief moment then fell asleep in each others hooves.
