The first April Foals' day since Princess Luna returned to Equestria. The Celestial alicorn of the sun awoke in her bedroom. As any other usual morning in Equestria, it was again time to raise to sun. As she rolled over to push herself up, she felt a huge irritation on her back, almost as if somepony had sprinkled a stallion’s facial hair over her. Her horn glowed up as a backscratcher, surrounded by a magical aura, levitated over to her. It raked the royal back, and hair drifted down to the floor. She scowled to herself until she saw her calendar. “April foals' day? Oh, I’m sure it was just another one of Luna’s pranks.” She chuckled to herself and went to her balcony. Her horn lit up and a glow started to appear over the horizon, a cascading blue and yellow blend attacking the night sky. Sunrise. Satisfied, Celestia trotted back to her bedroom. She went to her dresser, placing her gold and purple-gemmed amulet over her neck. She looked into the mirror, ready to sort her hair; A huge, high-pitched scream shook the castle. As the scream rung through her ears, the princess of the night sniggered childishly to herself.  It was worth staying up to hear her reactions. She heard the clatter of running hooves, then watched a team of the royal guards gallop past her room, onwards towards Celestia's. She immaturely burst out in laughter, the reaction was just becoming greater and greater by the second. Deciding to follow the guards, she cast a spell onto her hooves to stop them making any hoofsteps or noises. She silently followed the guards with a grin, trying to hold back a thousand years of laughter. Luna watched the guards run into the white alicorn’s bedroom. The dark alicorn waited outside, only a few hooves away. One guard, a hardy stallion, spoke as soon as they entered the room. “Princess! What is the matt-“ he suddenly stopped as he looked at the royal alicorn. Even as a trained pony, he couldn’t help but begin to snigger at her appearance. A few other guards followed on, and suddenly the room was filled with laughter. “STOP LAUGHING!” shouted Celestia, quite annoyed. “Bring me Luna! Now!” The same guard could hardly manage to bow for Celestia before he stepped out of the room. He was surprised to see Princess Luna already there. “Princess Luna, is this your doing?” The dark pony could not help but let out a few sniggers as she nodded. “Guards, thou may be dismissed. I shalt talk to thy Princess.” The guards returned to their posts as Luna trotted into her sister’s bedroom, trying to keep back a huge grin. “LUNA! How could you shave my hair off!? All of it! This is NOT a joke!” Luna fought back tears of laughter. “Happy April Foals Day!” Celestia’s face lit up like a volcano. “I look ridiculous! Do you expect me to go out to Equestria like THIS!?” The mare of the moon tried to keep in her laughter, her lips blowing raspberries as her eyes watered with laughter. A huge burst of laughter erupted from her, loud enough to be heard from Ponyville. A few moments of Celestia glaring at her sister passed. Luna had another surprise to come. Her horn lit up and a camera levitated in front of her face. “Speak cheese!” The flash suddenly blinded Celestia and stunned her. Luna started to gallop away. As Celestia recovered, she saw Luna trying to get away. “Sister! STOP! Where are you going with that camera!? Answer me!” Luna took flight over Canterlot as the white alicorn pursued her. She tried to keep her bald head covered as she followed. Luna soon landed in Ponyville, with her royal sister following behind. The blue princess raced towards a building, Celestia hot on her hooves. Luna entered into the building and locked the door with her alicorn magic. A pony stood next to a seemingly high-tech piece of machinery watched his Princess run towards him. He bowed his head for her and rose. “What would you like copied this time, Princess?” It was like he had rehearsed that line a thousand times, but he and Luna were acquaintances, almost friends. Luna showed the pony the camera with the picture displayed. He looked puzzled. “This is surely going to embarrass royalty! Are you sure, your highness?” Luna quickly nodded. She showed another. The earth pony in front of her spluttered slightly with laughter. She couldn't help but snigger with him. “Thou must make it quickly! 50 of first one and just one of second one.” The pony nodded. “Just sixty seconds.” He plugged the camera into the machine and copied the pictures into the machine. After the first one printed, Luna snatched it and put it under the door which Celestia was banging heavily on.  It had a printed picture of Celestia, bald. “Please Luna! Just stop! Stop printing them! You’ve gone far enough! Please!” Luna ignored her, sniggering to herself. She grabbed the other fifty pictures and paid the pony a few bits. She took a back exit out of the building and began pitching up the photos all around Ponyville, while Celestia obliviously kept pounding on the sealed door, trying to open it. As the fiftieth photo was finally nailed up, Luna returned back to Celestia from behind. Laughs started to erupt from different places all around the small town. “Art thou mad?” Luna sarcastically said behind Celestia. The brighter alicorn turned around, her face mad with anger. “What have you DONE!? I feel like banishing you to the moon AGAIN! Sister, this is NOT FUNNY!” Luna sniggered, but spoke no words. “I am taking these down immediately!” Luna again didn’t respond. Celestia stormed off, ready to take down the bald pictures of her around Ponyville. Luna eagerly followed. As Celestia found the first one, she realised something different was printed onto the photos. A picture of Luna pulling her best troll face had been printed on it. “Luna... This isn’t a picture of me bald...” “I know it isn’t.” She smiled at her elder sister. “But... I thought...” Celestia suddenly had a guilty look on her face. “I even said I was going to banish you to the moon again... Oh Lulu, I am very sorry!” Luna’s grin was still on her face. “One more thing..." Her horn glowed up and she shot a blast of magic at Celestia's scalp. Her hair returned to its normal state. The white alicorn looked extremely embarrassed. Her facial expression was quickly reduced to a sly grin. "I'll get you next year."
