''If you think about it, they almost literally never help.''

After that sentence had left from the cyan pegasus' lips, they all paused to think about it and started listing all the villains they have faced so there would be nothing to worry about for Twilight. Moments later, they all exited out of the throne room to depart off with whatever duties they have.

Now there was only Twilight and Spike sitting on their thrones in the throne room. Twilight was staring into space, thinking hard of what Rainbow Dash had said. She was anything but wrong. The princesses had always relied on them with every adventures they had faced together ever since Twilight had moved to Ponyville to make some friends and find the elements of harmony to defeat Nightmare Moon with her new friends.

Although, there was something else that was bothering her. Why her? She wasn't the only one who saved Equestria so why was she the only one who got alicorn wings, or rather going to be sitting on the throne alone in the future if she does agree to take over? Twilight felt rather guilty for not having equality between her and her friends.

Twilight looked over towards the baby dragon who was laying down on his throne and staring into space while blowing a feather up and down from his belly. Maybe he is thinking the same thing? Twilight shook her head and hopped off from her throne to get some rest from all this thinking. A good nice rest will be perfect to decide to whether take the throne or not tomorrow. She trotted outside of the throne room and flew towards her bedroom to hop into her bed.

''Hopefully, Princess Celestia agrees with my points I will be saying for tomorrow,'' she thought to herself as she had slowly slid her eyes closed.

It was finally time for Twilight to decide if she would like to rule over Equestria or not. Everypony was standing in the throne room and facing the princesses. Twilight was a little nervous that her own mentor won't agree with her, but she stood tall. She had her friends around her to support her. Princess Celestia opened her wings.

''So Twilight Sparkle, have you made your choice if you want to rule Equestria or not?''

Twilight bit her lip nervously and shook her head absentmindedly.

''What do you mean?'' asked Princess Luna, raising an eyebrow.

''I will not, I shall not,'' Twilight replied. ''I don't want to take the offer because I don't feel like it is what I am meant to do. Ruling Equestria is what you two do. You are both destined to raise the sun and moon and no one else so how am I supposed to raise it while you two are away on vacation?''

''We were just thinking about that,'' Princess Celestia explained, ''we have created a magical artefact for you to control them.''

''There should be no need because I am not taking over. I don't want to disappoint you or sound unappreciative but why is it always me? I am not the only one who saves Equestria, my friends do as well with me. Why didn't they get alicorn wings...'' She glanced at Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. ''...Or horns?''

Princess Luna rubbed her neck. ''I suppose they do need alicorn wings and horns but don't talk to me about that! My sister was the one that gave you them!''

''And does leadership in friendship groups even make sense?'' asked Twilight. ''I mean, that is not called equality. I am the only one who has an alicorn title, wings, power, castle, whatever. Do you really think that is equal to my friends?''

She looked at her friends who were mumbling to each other on how she got a point.

''No, I suppose not,'' Celestia replied.

''You of all ponies of Equestria even say so yourself that we should all remain equal and keep our differences aside to when you told Luna that when she came back. You didn't keep your word.''

Luna nudged her sister. ''She has made a really good point, sister.''

''Another thing is that you said Equestria has been living a longest period of harmony in recent years but that is not true, and you all know what I am talking about so I am going to let my friends to talk now.''

''There has been lots of villains attacking Equestria,'' Pinkie Pie chimed in, ''so how is that called peaceful?''

''Sure we managed to save it,'' Applejack added, ''and I don't think we aren't the perfect choice to be rulin' Equestria but it is not really goin' to be us rulin' together, just Twilight. She will be havin' the power and throne, whereas we have to stay in Ponyville because we have responsibilities like workin' on the farm there.''

''Also,'' said Rainbow Dash, ''making Twilight an alicorn is a scam. I mean, alicorns are supposed to be powerful but she was much more powerful as a unicorn than right now.''

''That is true!'' Pinkie Pie nodded.

''Also, I would very much be pleased if you don't say 'Twilight and her friends' because it just makes it look like my friends are not as equally important as I,'' Twilight interjected.

Luna chuckled. ''We do apologise in advance.''

''Forgiven,'' Fluttershy quietly muttered.

''I hate to burst your bubbles, darlings, but when you retire, you will also be passing your immortality onto Twilight, correct? So you are saying you want her to suffer with seeing all of her friends age and die? And not even just that but you said before that the princess of friendship is nothing without her friends. Huh. That title is pretty stupid now that Twilight had pointed out her points, but also, err, yeah. I think I am done with mine.''

''We can literally see at the end of season 9, Twilight looks horrible in a Celestial body and she is the only one with power. Apparently, Starlight and Sunburst had tied the knot and had a daughter called Luster Dawn, who is Twilight's student in the future,'' said Pinkie Pie.

Celestia slapped herself. ''Of course. Goddess Lauren Faust.''

''Why did you bring her up?'' asked Pinkie Pie. ''What does she have to do with anything I have just said?''

''No,'' she uttered. ''I mean, she wanted me to turn Twilight into an alicorn for some bullsh*t I don't remember about. She never thought about the equality between you six...'' she looked at Spike. ''...Or seven?''

''Well, may I speak to Goddess Lauren Faust?''

Everypony gasped and stared at the purple alicorn.

''What?''

''Twilight, you can't,'' replied Celestia.

''Why not?'' asked Twilight.

''She is our Goddess because she has created our universe and us with it. If you go against her plans, she may terminate you.''

''But the show has ended,'' said Twilight. ''I don't understand.''

''No, silly!'' Pinkie Pie chimed. ''Even though the show has ended, we are still here and Lauren can still do whatever she wants with us.''

''Ahem,'' Celestia cleared her throat. ''Please refer her as 'Goddess Lauren' or something like that, Pinkie Pie.''

Pinkie Pie chuckled and bounced back into her position. ''Oops.''

''I think we are gettin' off topic here,'' Applejack spoke. ''Now back to Twilight's decision.''

''I have already said my final decision and it's no,'' Twilight said. ''I am sorry, Princess Celestia. I hope you can forgive me.''

Celestia sighed. ''It is fine, Twilight.''

''May I say my piece now?'' Fluttershy quietly said.

''You may,'' Luna declared.

''Why do you want to retire, Princess Luna? You have just gotten back from the moon a few years after a thousand years of being prisoned there. Do you truly want to retire?''

''That is what I have spoken with my sister,'' Luna explained, ''but somepony did not give me a choice.''

Celestia placed a hoof to her chest offendedly. ''What? I'd never!''

''Much like how we all didn't give Twilight a choice,'' Applejack spoke, ''and instead peer pressured her into acceptin' the throne.''

''Yeah, but now she has made her choice!'' Pinkie Pie said. ''Although, if you really want to retire, Princess Celestia, then I don't see why not because you have been ruling for so long but for Luna, not an equal amount of years. A thousand years had cut through her reign.''

''Well, that's not my fault,'' said Celestia.

Huffed, Luna placed a hoof upon her chest to seem offended.

''I feel like Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer should be the new rulers,'' said Rainbow Dash, ''for obvious reasons, of course! I mean, their surnames rhyme and they are both powerful and...no? Okay.''

''No, no,'' Twilight uttered. ''You got a point. If you really want to retire, you could hire Starlight Glimmer or Sunset Shimmer. Although, she has found her place in the human world and she would have to leave her friends so a bit hypocritical coming from us.''

''I don't see why I can't rule,'' Rarity volunteered.

Spike floated up in the air with hearts. ''Princess Rarity.''

''Way to step it up, Rares!'' Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

''I have always wanted to be a princess ever since I was just a small town filly,'' she explained, ''I also have the style and elegance for it, of course. I just need to transform into an alicorn so I could practise my magic further. I mean if you can, you don't have to.''

''You would make a splendid princess, Rarity,'' Princess Celestia declared. ''Although, your magic would need to go to practise.''

''Does anypony else have free time to become a princess or want to?'' asked Luna.

''Yeah,'' said Applejack, ''I have lots of chores on my farm so no thank you.''

Pinkie Pie bounced up and down. ''I would love to!''

''Being a wonderbolt has been my dream but it would be awesome to become a princess!''

''I don't see why not,'' Fluttershy answered.

''It is my dream to be one,'' Rarity sighed.

Everypony looked towards Spike.

''What are you all looking at me for?'' he asked. ''I am a dragon for Equestria's sake!''

''Ooh! Ooh!'' Pinkie Pie piped, reaching into her mane to grab a unicorn horn and place it on top of the baby dragon's head. ''There you go!''

Everypony laughed, whereas Spike grumbled.

''I have always been seen as a background pony,'' Applejack interjected, ''and all of you do want to be alicorns so I guess I should tag along too. I bet Big Macintosh, Sugar Belle, Apple Bloom and Granny Smith can manage the farm without me.''

''Isn't Granny Smith like...?'' Rainbow Dash trailed off.

''She has lived over a thousand years,'' Applejack interrupted.

''But she eventually passes away at the end of season 9,'' Pinkie Pie pointed out. ''We have evidence by her scarf around your neck and Goldie Delicious' scarf around Apple Bloom's neck. Also, may I ask what happened to your parents?''

Applejack froze in place at the mention of her parents. She dropped to the ground and pouted inside her hat.

''Pinkie Pie, why would you ask that when you already know?'' Twilight spoke as she caressed the cowgirl's back.

''Oh. Oops. I am sorry, Applejack.''

Rarity brought the cowgirl back up as she wiped away her tears.

She sniffed. ''It's okay.''

''Anyways,'' Fluttershy interjected, ''I think I have finally planned out something for all of us and it is equal.''

She smiled at Twilight, who returned it back.

''How about Princess Celestia and Princess Luna can still rule Equestria but have a vacation? They can still raise the sun and moon because they don't need one position to do that. We can also rule and carry on with our normal duties too. And don't worry, Twilight will not be the only one with the power. If you want to, you can make us all into alicorns.''

Pinkie Pie can be in charge of all the parties in Canterlot or Equestria, Rarity and Rainbow Dash might get trained under Princess Celestia's and Princess Luna's wings. Or either, Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer. Twilight will organise everything, I will look after all of the animals, Applejack...apples?''

''Why does everypony think I only care 'bout apples? It's not true, ya know? I secretly eat pears behind Granny Smith's back.''

''What?!'' everypony shouted in unison.

''Ahem,'' an elderly green pony tapped her hoof on the ground.

Applejack turned around and widened her eyes. ''I mean, I said I eat apples only, Granny. I swear!''

Granny Smith pulled her by her hat and dragged her out of the throne room.

''Well,'' said Rarity, ''so what now?''

A year later, Princesses Celestia and Luna have finished training Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer into becoming the news rulers of the day and night. They had managed to turn the two unicorns into alicorns, as well as Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy.

It took awhile for Sunset Shimmer to accept and come back to Equestria. None of them peer pressured her and had given her a choice. Princess Celestia had full confidence in her that she would make a splendid ruler. Princess Luna was impressed at how powerful Starlight Glimmer was. Twilight and Rainbow Dash weren't wrong. She knew that Starlight Glimmer would make a great ruler and they both had their dark pasts they regret. Starlight could understand Luna perfectly.

At last, there was no inequality between the Team of Friendship (their new group name they have made up since they all agreed 'Twilight and her friends' sounded wrong). If there was any villains coming back to wreck Equestria again, the Team of Friendship could beat them easily.

Rarity was sewing on the new princesses' dresses for their coronation. The Team of Friendship had wore a simple golden and silver dresses with their cutiemarks decorated around. Twilight, Pinkie Pie and Applejack wore golden dresses whereas Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash wore silver dresses. Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer wore teal dresses to match the highlights from Starlight Glimmer's mane and Sunset Shimmer's eyes. Their cutiemark was also decorated on around.

''So how do you feel about being the new princesses of Equestria, Starlight and Sunset?'' Rarity asked, measuring them with her measurement tape.

''Flattered,'' Starlight replied with a blush.

''That is one word to put it,'' Sunset declared.

''You know?'' Rainbow Dash interjected, leaning on her shoulder. ''We have never really gotten to know each other but now you are living here again, I guess it should be about time to change that, don't you think?''

Sunset chuckled. ''I already know how Rainbow Dash acts due to the other world Rainbow Dash.''

''I still feel like I'm going to be a background pony still,'' said Applejack as she kicked the back of her dress.

''Applejack! Stop that!'' Rarity exclaimed.

''Sorry, but it's just too uncomfortable.''

''You could just say so,'' Rarity got out some fabric, measurement tape and glasses.

''I feel like with all of us ruling together equally,'' Twilight said, ''everything will go out perfectly.''

''I still can't believe we are princesses!'' Pinkie Pie beamed. ''Especially Rainbow Dash and Applejack who has always been tomboys!''

The former and the latter playfully rolled their eyes.

''Are you all ready?'' Former Princesses Celestia and Luna entered inside the room.

''Just one minute!'' Rarity exclaimed as she tucked in Applejack's dress.

''Well, that is one thing that is never going to change.''

''What is that, Applejack?'' asked Fluttershy.

''Our friendship,'' she declared, bringing the Team of Friendship, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, the former princesses, Spike into a warm group hug. Rarity mumbled in annoyance for getting interrupted from sewing the cowgirl's dress but smiled and accepted the warm embrace.

I don't really know about the ending but at least everypony is equal now.
