Spike, what have you done...
The sound of the Golden Oak library's door opened with a creek, as the Princess of Friendship trotted into the main room, carrying a box full of new books she's very eager to read and add to her growing collection. With a click the door shut, Twilight set the box down in the middle of the room as she sat down while She neatly removed the protective covering on the package, and cut the tape holding the folds to the contents inside, finally she started pulling out novels and books, that she needed for more research and for her self indulgent. Twilight finished stacking the books into piles for her to shelf later, she took a pacific book and floated it over in front of her. Before Twilight could open the cover she gave a jump from a yell upstairs, her magic letting go of the book as it plummeted to the wooden floor below with a thud.
Twilight quickly looked towards the stairs leading to her and Spike's room, she quickly teleported and landed just at the edge of her bed, while surprising a certain dragon lying in his small bed, with a comic book resting face down in a crooked mess of pages. Twilight quickly looked over to him seeing him reaching for his comic.
"Jeez, Twilight. Did you have to scare me like that," he finally got his comic and continued to finish off as he gave Twilight a small side glare.
Twilight gave a sheepish smile. "Sorry Spike. You startled me with your yelling and its quicker teleporting then running up those stairs," She finished as she sat down beside his bed. "Now. What were you doing for you to be yelling so loud," Twilight raised an eyebrow as Spike excitedly turned to Twilight and presented her the cover of the comic.
Twilight looked at the cover to see a pony wearing a hoodie with tendrils growing from his shoulders and forming into claws scaling a tall building, being chased by what looked to be similar to pinkie's strange flying contraption. "Its a comic about a Pony who stole a virus from under the corporation he was working with, he got caught and was taken down with the vial shattering and infecting him. Left with amnesia he consumes others for their memories, becoming stronger and trying to figure out who caused the infectious outbreak," He finished as he brought the comic down from Twilight's view.
The Princess gave a slight disgusted look on that last part and had a sudden realization. "Spike. are you even old enough to be reading something like this?" She lifted the comic out of his grip as she inspected the back and front covers.
Spike snatched it out of her magical grip and gave her a frustrated look. "Twilight... with the crazy things that happen in this town, I don't think a comic is going to be that much of an effect –" he crossed his arms as he continued " – Not to mention, you as well Twilight," He tilted his head to the side with a slightly raised eyebrow.
Twilight gave a blush as her ears went down and she looked around at the floor before looking back up and giving a sigh. "Okay Spike, You got me there," She finished with a chuckle as Spike smiled back, Spike saw Twilight turning to leave.
"I've still got some research I need to get back to, so I'll leave you to your–" Before She could finish Spike interrupted her. she stopped and turned back to Spike.
"Hey Twilight, I was wondering. I've just finished It and... I want you to read it!" Spike stretched his arm out, holding the comic towards Twilight.
She Looked at the comic and Spike. "Uh, Spike you know I'm not that much into comics and I still have those books I need to get back to anyway," Twilight finished as Spike gave her the most pleading look he could give.
"C'mon Twilight just this once, you like daring doo and I think you might actually like this one, everypony's reading It," when Spike finished, Twilight did noticed something while she was outside to collect her mail, she noticed that ponies were reading the very same colored comic book as they passed by their library.
"So this is why nopony has come for a book in educated knowledge from my glorious library's shelves," Twilight whispered to herself as her eye twitched.
Spike watched Twilight stare at his book as she whispered something. "Uh, Twilight you okay?" He got no response as he reached over and clicked a claw in front of her muzzle.
Twilight snapped out of her stupor while looking around, she zoned in on spike. "Huh, what was that spike?" He rolled his eyes.
"The comic Twilight, so... are you gonna read it?" He finished as he clasped his claws together.
"Augh, fine. I'll read it but don't expect me to like it!" Twilight made her way out of their room and pulled the comic into her magical field, while she heard Spike give out a woot as he followed behind her. They got back into the libraries main room, as Spike walked over to the nearby broom and got started on the invading dust bunnies littering the room, while Twilight went to her book stand and started reading.
Spike could hear somebody talking to him as he slowly opened his sleepy eyes and noticed a purple muzzle in front of him, he gave a yelp as Twilight pulled her head back into Its position, Spike sat up straight on the first step of the stairs while he rubbed his eyes and looked at Twilight.
"Ah, Spike your finally awake. Thank you for pushing me to read it, I really did enjoy that comic!" Her eyes gave a out a gleam and switched to a slight disgusted look. "While I don't like such vile acts that are committed in it, doesn't mean I haven't read a book containing such violence before, the story was very much enjoyable to read," she finished with a hoof tapping her chin. she whispered out loud.
"But, Imagine what you could do with those powers in the right hooves, you could solve so many problems, even dealing with the daily Ponyville monster attack or a new villain terrorizing Equestria," Then a familiar glow came into Twilight's eyes that Spike was fully aware of, it was his oldest friend coming up with something to bring terror upon Ponyville and its residents.
As Twilight dashed off outside to collect the ingredients for her brilliant idea.
A profanity echoed throughout the library as a certain drake knew what he has just done, deep down a certain purple princess would chew him out for saying but it was the only perfect answer for it all. "Oh shit!"

I hope everyone at least gets a chuckle out of it. I'm looking forward to improving myself and any helpful criticism or advice on my writing is greatly appreciated.
I'm going to have a lot of fun with this one.
