Let's think about this rationally.
Alright, introductions, seeing as how my journal has been wiped clean without magic to tether it to Equestria.
If you are reading this, then my name is Sunset Shimmer, personal student of Princess Celestia; I am probably dead.
About 3 months ago, Princess Celestia tasked me with a job that would "save all of ponykind." Her words, not mine. Apparently, our sun is dying, nearing the end of its lifespan. Understandable, considering that it is about 21x larger than the sun of this world. If we didn't leave it, it was slated to go supernova and explode within 80 years.
Yeah, no one wants to be around for that.
Princess Celestia had already been researching the matter for about 50 years. She and her inner circle of mages have apparently come no closer to finding a solution to this matter than they were when they started researching. With no way to save the sun, Celestia confided in me their last solution.
Move Equestria all together.
Apparently, the foalbook Element's of Harmony actually exist, used by Celestia long ago. While she doesn't know where they are right now, she told me that they were going to reveal themselves to another pony when the prophecy kicks in, in about 23 years. Well, 22 years and 364 days, if the calendar spell I placed on this journal still works. Until then, we had to prepare.
I initially believed I was supposed to be the prophecized pony. I mean, who else but the student of the Princess herself to fulfill a prophecy of this magnitude? That plan was nipped in the bud soon after I voiced it to the Princess. I had wallowed in misery for about an hour, wailing like a new foal, before she showed me what I was supposed to do to help this plan.
Turns out, she and her inner mages wasn't the only one that had studied about this 'Project Renewal' as she called it. She had a task force of over 100 ponies whisked away in an underground laboratory beneath Canterlot Castle, working around the clock on the actual moving portion of the plan. While we knew that the Elements would be able to power full teleportation of Equestria, we still needed a location to move it to. That's where I came in.
I was tasked with overseeing the entire exploration of other dimensions, to try and find one habitable for use to move Equestria to. It wasn't easy, let me tell you that much. The process of finding a world was simple. We had a machine with a piece of Celestia's powers herself. We powered it and basically told it to explore the multiverse in a random direction. Every time we powered it on and found traits we liked for our ideal world, we would go ahead and determine what inputs we put in to give us that trait. It was essentially glorified lockpicking. Consistently finding the small sweet spot, and slowly moved around that sweet spot until we found the perfect angle.
It was absolute brutality. With the infinite beyond for us to explore, we would lose 20 soldiers to exploration for every 1 that came back with a decent trait. We ran through 97 soldiers trying to find the input for JUST LAND. We had thought we would never find a world for us to move to.
Then, about 6 months ago, we found the humanity input.
Turns out, humanity proved to be an extreme boon to us. They breathed the same air as us, ate the same food as us, and their worlds were often much larger then ours, since they were larger than us by like 2.3x. The problem came with their violence. Oftentimes, they were so much farther in technology than we were, and so much more unified than we were. One world we found had them just coming out of a 30-year war with an alien alliance spanning the entire known galaxy. Each world that they had, they were so much farther than we were that we feared they would take us out the moment we made first contact.
Then, we found this one. This one, that I am in now. It was a world that had the humans to prove it was habitable, but they were still grounded on their homeworld, thus having us on the same level as them. We realized that the amount of time that it took to isolate the Human input from their homeworld input would take several decades, due to the fact that every time you isolate farther and farther, there are more variables that you would spend time on isolating and extracting from your input.
So, I took the gamble. We had studied the humans in this world for a while now and found a continent that was largely unpopulated by them. I was geared and sent in to test the world, and possibly set up the first base. I was preparing myself for anything from destructive fauna to toxic air when they sent me in.
It was perfect.
The spot I landed in was clean, pure. There was no sign of humanity or and deceit anywhere for thousands of kilometers. I could dry the grass, and I can taste the same hay as I would back home. I drank the water, and it was as clean as tap water back home. I could breathe the air, and I didn't even need a filter like I would in the factory district of Canterlot. I wrote back for them to start sending more ponies to join me and set up an observation post.
That would be the last contact I would have with them.
Exactly as I wrote for them to send ponies the next day, I found my hideout was being cased, by humans . Turns out, the reason why there was no pollution in this part of the world was that the humans that lived here didn't technologically evolve alongside the rest of them. They still carried spears and hunting bows.
It was one of those hunting bows that sealed my fate.
When they heard me in the tall grass, I began to book it the other way. It took time to prepare teleportation between dimensions, time I did not have. I ran, hoping they would eventually stop chasing me and leave me with enough time to call a squad of Royal Guards.
However, as I ran away from them, one of the tribalists got a lucky shot off, running an arrow through my leg joint. Luckily, or unluckily, I had rolled down a fairly steep hill, and they opted for the long way around. With little time before they came, I powered a teleportation spell to my secondary base I set up a while ago. I made it, but not in one piece...
I don't know the details, but it seems that back in Equestria, they may have been trying to teleport me back themselves, and teleported me at the same time I teleported myself. With this, I can only theorize that I essentially split in two, one part of me going back to Equestria, and one part of me that went to the secondary base.
Guess which one went to Equestria?
It seems that my magic and the magic of the journal I had on me had gone through the portal to Equestria, leaving me here. Without my magic, the ponies back in Equestria don't have the power to lock on me and bring me home. In fact, without my magic to open a connection, they can't even find me even if they still had the connection to check this dimension out.
To throw salt on the wound...without my pony magic to tether me to Equestria, it seems that I transformed into a human myself. It seems that without a connection to my homeworld, my body just reverted to the dominant species that live in this world.
To put it mildly, I'm bucked. I'm stuck in an unknown world, in an unknown body, in the land that I recently learned has hunters that can kill me!
...dear Celestia please let me go home...

It seems that while the author had improved their pressure when writing, indicating that they learned how to hold items properly, their legibility is as passable as a 5-year olds'. There is a bloodstain in the same spot as last time, meaning the blood has bled through as least 20 separate pages in this journal. There are still large quantities of tears on the journal pages.*
Sunset closed her journal and heaved a sigh. With no way of contacting Equestria, she was left to fend for herself in this new world. She could only hope Celestia sends reinforcements soon.
As she got up to change out the bandage on her shoulderblade, she looked up to see a Colt M1911A1 pointed at her forehead. She froze, realizing that she was caught.
"Oi, who the fuck are you?"

Wow, this feels like it was a bit rushed. Then again, this was written in an hour during my lunch break. I may come back and re-write this in the future.
Now, a bit of note about the differences in my world vs the NegotiationVerse world.
1) Yes, they use Latin in Equestria, shaddup
2) I had high doubts Celestia would send a teenager to fight her sister, but at the same time I have high doubts Twilight was 30 when she fought Luna, so I made her about 20-ish.
3) If you search up Equestria on the MLP wiki, there are 5 events that separate the 'Eras' I wrote. Era 1 was Grogar declaring himself emperor, Era 2 was the unification of Equestria, Era 3 was Discord's reign of chaos, and Era 4 was the time where Luna and Celestia ruled before Luna transformed into Nightmare Moon (That would be Era 5) Era 6 would be when Twilight releases Luna from Nightmare Moon and becomes the Element bearer.
4) Yes, you read that gun correctly. I thought about it and eventually decided to throw Sunset into WW2 directly. I thought about WW1, but I can't remember any major conflicts in Africa for WW1, while we have the entire British campaign in WW2 that I can throw Sunset into.

"Jeez, Spit's, you look like hell," The brigader stifles back a chuckle, as Kelly rolled her eyes.
"Yeah yeah, Bradley, what else is new?" She rolled her eyes again, but this time in a joking manner.
"Well, if you got nothing else, we might as well get started."
"What's top brass want with me this time?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Posterity, and all of that," He grumbled, setting down his coffee, and pulled out his notepad, "Brass at London want's a writeup on how you found Target O-"
" Shimmer ."
"I'm sorry?" He raised his own eyebrow in response.
"Target Omega makes it sound like she walked out of one of The Colonies' black sites," she grumbled, "I feel like Shimmer is more appropriate, or at least Shoichet , if that's what's she's calling herself now."
"We can't." The brigader grumbled, obviously also unhappy with this development, "Brass doesn't want any of her aliases on record. We only are allowed the paper copies she mailed to you. In fact, I'm going to have to find a way to bleep that out of the video."
"Damnit," She swore, "Fine, let's call her Omega , I guess."
"Good stuff, good stuff," Bradley said, "Now, let's start."
"Where do you want to begin?" She raised an eyebrow.
"How about at the start of your deployment into Africa?"
"Sure, that works for me..."
"Alright, good stuff," Bradley said, shuffling a few more papers, "We just need you to say your name to start it off..."
As I'm sure you already know, I'm Kelly, Kelly Metzger. Most of my peers had nicknamed me Spitfire*. I was one of the MI6 agents assigned to the Western Desert Force in Africa during the end of Operation Brevity and the beginning of Operation Crusader when we went to relieve the Australians at Tobruk.
And can you ease us into the day you met Target Omega?
Yeah, remember it clearly. It was the middle of June, during our final push towards Tobruk...

That day, I woke up on the floor
*Thud*
"Fuck, damnit! What the hell was that for, Brittney!?" Kelly swore, nursing the wound on her head, "I was having a decent dream about a lad in Ireland, you know?"
"Well, sooorrryyy, lieutenant ," Brittney jokingly sneered, pulling her up, "The commander wants to see you, something about 'those damn suits from London' and all of that." She grinned.
"Oh, yeah, I miss my designer suits and cocktails and large extravagant parties where I can seduce men into stealing their keycards and preventing the end of the world." I shot back with my own cocky grin. I pulled myself up from the dirt floor and dusted myself off. "Well, better not keep him waiting."
"I'll go check on Matt. Last I saw of him he was in a drinking game with some men from the Free French." She gave me a two-finger salute and left through my tent flap. I put on my uniform, and grabbed my pistol holster and radio pack, before making my way outside.
The scene was akin to a small city. It was understandable, seeing as how in just under a week, we were supposed to go and help relieve the 9th Infantry in Tobruk. There was a bustle as men moved cargo from the rear to the frontlines, armored re-armed, and prepared their gear. Making my way to the commanding tent, the inside was a madhouse as women dashed back and forth through the tent, relaying orders and intercepting german comms. I skillfully moved my way through the sea of comm reports and interceptions and made my way to the backroom, where Commander Ritchie was signing off on a call with Montogomery.
"..no, you listen to me, Monty!" He shouted. "I have 6 separate Corps here ready to take back the port, I will NOT have them lose their lives just because you won't hand me some Spitfires from your bloody cat-and-mouse game with Rommel!"
The man on the other side shouted back with the same force as the commander had done. "Don't you hang up on me you-FUCK!" He slammed the phone down on the receiver, then poured himself a shot glass, before acknowledging that I was standing right there. "Ah, Lieutenant Metzerg; please, sit." he beckoned me to the chair in front of him, which I accepted.
"So, problems with the other commanders?" I asked, pouring myself a glass.
"Yeah." He muttered, taking another shot. "Montgomery has control of the majority of air support in the region. I was hoping to take some of them to help us at Tobruk, but he's holding them from me. Said he needs them to chase down that damned Desert Fox." Another swig. "Bloody arse."
"Hah, don't I know that feeling." I laughed. When you were a commander, you often butted heads with the other commanders about who got the supplies first.
"But enough with that old geezer. I need to talk to you." His voice deepened by a few octaves, and the air around the room grew a bit thicker.
I swallowed, "Sir, you know I can't tell you what our mission here entails."
He growled, "I damn well should. I will not risk my men's lives just because some hot-shot from London and her best friends just flew in and shoved some papers in my face."
I sighed, "Sir, in the name of national security, I cannot speak about my mission to anyone outside my teammates."
He glared at me, "If you don't tell me now, I will send your ass back to London, top brass be damned!"
I sighed, realizing he wasn't about to let me off so easily and began to explain our mission to him.
"...and what was your mission, Captain?" Bradley asked me.
I raised an eyebrow, "Don't you have the file?"
"Yeah. but, again, posterity."
I sighed. "Three weeks before we went to Africa, London detected a radio wave coming from the middle of the Savannah. We had originally written it off as someone tinkering with a radio in the middle of the place, but then it happened again, and again, and again.
It was the exact same always, one short burst at midnight exactly, then we'd detect an incoming radio wave. After that, a longer burst, and finally a burst of finality. We deduced that someone was communicating with someone else in the Savannah, and the fact that it happened at exact midnight, every day, in the same format, was no coincidence.
Now, we couldn't spare any troops to check it out themselves, they were all needed to take Tobruk and attack the Germans, so we were sent instead. We were supposed to land at the forward base, then requisition some trucks and supplies to drive the three hundred kilometers stretch between the messenger and the forward base."
"So, what the hell is even in those radio waves?" The commander asked me, rubbing his head.
I shrugged. "Hell if I know. We just detected static every time we'd try and tune into the frequency."
"Then why in god's name is it national security for you to find it?!"
"Because it's not the frequency of the Germans or Italians, and civilians shouldn't be able to buy a radio that can tune to a frequency as high as ours anywhere in the world."
He groaned, "Fine. Tobruk is on a mountain, so our trucks are kinda useless on the steep and rugged terrain. I probably have some spare trucks I gave give to you guys,"
I smiled, "Thank you, Commander."
He waved me off, "Nah, it's alright. I'll get you the trucks within the hour. It's only like a day and a half of driving to get to where you need to go, so I expect you back here before the end of the week so we can move on Tobruk."
I saluted him, "Yes sir!"
"Dismissed."
I went outside and found the rest of my team milling about near the mortar crates. We were a team of four, dubbed the 'WonderBolts' for our ability to move in and out at high speeds and with fatal precision. Besides me, we had Brittney 'Lighting*' Irvin and Matt 'Soarin*' Hill. Beside them was our scientific liaison, Kelly 'Starlight*' Sheridan.
"Alright Team," I called out, chucking Starlight the rest of the bottle from the Commander's office. "Get prepped, we've wheels up within the hour."
"You finally told the General our job here?" Soarin raised an eyebrow, while he cleaned the barrel of his MG-42 he stole from a compound in Sweden.
"Yeah," I sighed, rubbing my eyes, "He wouldn't give us the trucks unless I did so."
Starlight tsked, "Command won't like that. Their specific orders were we weren't supposed to tell anyone here what our job is."
"Eh, they can whine for all they want." I rolled my eyes, and began cleaning my 1911, "Still won't change the fact that he wasn't going to budge without me telling him."
After about 15 minutes, two armored sticks rolled up in some Willy MB's. "Just got back from leave in Cairo," One of them explained, "We were supposed to store the jeeps here, but the General told us you needed some, and we might as well give them to you." He and the rest of the crew exited the vehicle, before motioning me over to the back, then pulling up a tarp covering the back. "You can have two and two per car, and we packed them with about 3 times the daily rations in gasoline and foodstuffs."
"Thanks for that," I nodded to the officer, who saluted me before ordering his men to the barracks. "Come on, let's go guys. Starlight, go with Soarin in the other car. Lightning, you're with me." We piled into the cars, and we were off.
...and when did you arrive at your AO?"
"About three days after we left," Kelly shrugged, "Turns out, the maps were outdated, and we ended up taking a longer route around a river that was several kilometers short of where we were."
"That, however, was what led to you finding Target Omega though, was it not?" the brigader asked.
"Yeah," Kelly sighed, "Yeah it was..."
"Shit, it's already nightfall." Starlight swore.
"Well, it's either this," Kelly said, picking up her flashlight, "Or we'd have to find a way across a 15 meter deep, 40-meter wide river."
"Fucking Mother Nature," Lightning swore. She was on overwatch right now, watching the savannah lands with a precision eye for any signs of movement.
"In any case, we should probably find shelter," Soarin said, mounting his gun on the truck, "I don't want to be out here when those cannibal hunter's find us napping."
"Shit, you actually believe about those bozos?" Starlight raised her eyebrow.
He shrugged, "Don't want to take the risk if they do."
"I agree with Soarin," Kelly said, waving them over to where she was, "Look, found a cave, we might as well make camp there." She shone her flashlight on a small cave, about 100 meters to the left. They nodded and went to move the trucks. When they got to the cave, however, Lightning stopped them.
"Lightning, what are we doing?" Kelly asked, getting out of her truck.
"Look, footprints," She said, shining a light on tracks going into the cave.
"Aw crud, no exit marks," Starlight muttered, "Whoever set up shop here is still in there."
"Alright," Kelly said, drawing her pistol, "Soarin, with me. Lightning, Starlight, watch the trucks." They nodded, and Soarin drew his CQC gun, a trench shotgun that his father gave him.
"I'll take point," He said. Kelly nodded, and they both entered the cave.
For a makeshift camp, it was well equipped. There was a small disassembly bed and storage chest on one end, easily mobile if someone needed to run. On the other end, there was a study, with a map detailing the next couple hundred miles with landmarks and backup shelters marked on it. To prevent getting dirty, the floor was covered with hay and a tarp. There was also a bow and a quiver of arrows that was set off to one side.
Kelly was about to call Soarin over when he put his hand over her mouth. She began to protest, but he put his left fist on his right palm, then put up one finger. One person, unknown figure. He pointed to the back of the cave, and Kelly saw her.
It was a girl, about 20 years old in stature, with red and orange hair. She was disheveled, with dust and grime all over her figure. Her clothes looked sewn together, and it was just then that Kelly saw a dried blood patch on her shoulder. She was quietly sobbing, and she looked like she was hunched over a journal of some kind.
Nodding, Kelly made my way over to her. Conditions aside, She wasn't going to take the risk that she was a German scout.
She turned around, and Kelly pointed her gun at her head, "Oi, who the fuck are you?"
Author's Note
*To this day, it is still unknown of the origins of these nicknames for the 'WonderBolts'. In recent interviews, it is found that Target Omega has been given the origin stories, but refuses to reveal them to us, only giving a smirk the interviewer called 'Try Me'.
I froze, eyes shocked in fear.
I had seen what these human weapons can do. While I mostly stayed to this untouched land I first fell into, I did use to go out and scout the neighboring lands. It was a bit south that I first found a human military base, and where I saw their machines of destruction.
They had cannons rolling on wheels! Able to knock down even the strongest walls with ease. In pockets, they held miniature crossbows that packed twice as much damage and can reload faster than the eye. I had seen them mount cannons that spit rounds on top of mechanized chariots and drive them around looking for enemies to kill. It was why I was so fearful to first meet them when I landed here.
And now I had one pointed at me.
"Please, don't hurt me!" I whimpered out, shutting my eyes as much as I can. When I didn't hear the tell-tale sound of a cannon going off, I realized that I was still alive, and the being had relented in its hostility.
Unsure of what to do, it turned to its partner, who I now realized was behind her, and carried a cannon that looked like it can rip my own head off, and spoke. "Do you think she's a threat?" The first one asked in a feminine voice.
The other one shook its head, "Don't know, but even if she is, that wound on her shoulder says she can't do shit against us." I winced at that. While swear words do exist in Equestria, we didn't use them so brazenly and out in the open.
Suddenly, I felt the first one put her foreleg in front of me, and I stepped back. "Hey now," she said, raising her hands up defensively, "We're not here to hurt you."
"I've seen what your cannons can do," I whimpered out, "And I'm not sure I trust you."
"My cannon?" She questioned. She turned to her partner, who pointed at her weapon, "Oh, my gun." She pressed a button and out came a case inside this 'gun'. She tossed both at her partner, who grabbed them with deft skill. "Now, do you trust me?"
"Are you okay, young lady?" The second one asked, putting away its weapon and coming to my aid. "You aren't hurt, are you?"
"I'm fine," I said, hobbling to my feet. "I've just never walked on my hind legs before."
" 'Hind Legs'?" The first one asked, "What are you, a horse?" It chuckled at its own joke.
"Well, I'm a pony actually," I said, finally figuring out how to stand properly. "Horses are our ancestors." After a few minutes of me slowly learning to walk on two legs, I realize that neither being said anything. I turned back to see both of them with questioning looks in their eyes.
"You're bullshitting me, you, a pony?" The second one asked. I raised an eyebrow then nodded. Both of them looked at each other, then laughed.
"Oh my god," The first one giggled, "I didn't know we'd meet a comedian this far out."
"That, or a nutjob." The other one showed less tact and laughed out loud.
Both of them continued this for a bit then looked back to me crossing my forelegs. "Are you done?" I asked expectantly. Slowly, both of their faces lost their humor.
"You're shitting me. You're serious?" The second one asked. I raised my eyebrow then went ahead and opened my chest and let them see inside, which was filled with horse oats and hay bales and other treats for horses/ponies. I also pointed to my saddlebags in the corner of the bed.
"Look, you probably think I'm crazy," I began.
"We do," The first one said. I ignored her and continued.
"But I assure you, I am telling the truth. I really am a pony."
"Lady, it's more believable you own a pony or are crazy in the head than you actually being a pony."
"Look! I get it sounds insane, but do you think I can keep a pony here? There's barely enough space for the three of us!" I get I sounded like I was crazy, but how much would it take for them to believe me?
"Yeah right, and next you will be telling me that magic exists." The first one rolled her eyes.
I looked at her, confused, "You don't use magic?"
The two beings looked at me, slack-jawed. Before I could say anything, they grabbed me by the arms and dragged me out of the cave. Outside, I could see two of their mechanized chariots and two more of their kind setting up a place to sleep for tonight. Without warning, I was tossed to the ground in front of one of them. This one was dressed in something akin to an observer, not a soldier.
"Starlight," The first being asked, "Check her."
"What? Who the hell is she?" This 'Starlight' asked.
"No time, check her to see if she has any signs of mental damage."
"Well, with chucking her on the ground, you may have caused some." She knelt down and pulled out a torchlight. "Excuse me, miss?" I looked at her, "I need you to stay still for a moment, okay?" I nodded and felt her prod around my mane. After a few minutes, she nodded and stood up. "Lots of physical damage, but none that would cause harm to her neurological damage."
"See, I'm not going insane!" I shouted, standing up.
"Well, excuse me miss, but unless you have some proof of damn magic, I'm kind of skeptical." The first one huffed out.
"What's this about magic?" Starlight asked.
"If my damn book still worked, I could show you," I grumbled out.
"What book," The second man asked, in which he proceeded to go ahead and pull out my journal. "You mean this one?"
"Soarin, what the fuck?" The first being asked, swiping the book from his hands and giving it back to me. "That's theft!"
"No, it's alright, that was the book I was talking about." I sighed, "Though, it's kind of useless now."
"What was it supposed to do?" Starlight asked me.
"It was a communications book," I sighed and flipped it open. "I had come here from another dimension, and this was the only method of communications between our two worlds." I showed Starlight the book. After flipping through the start of the book, she motioned over the first person. "Metzger, you might want to look at this."
"What is it Starlight?" Metzger asked, walking over towards Starlight. She was given the book, and read the first couple of pages. "...Contact every day at a specified time...When the moon is at its highest in the...night...sky..." She looked at the book, flipping through different entries, before staring back at me. "Every day, for three months, you've been writing at midnight?"
"...Yeah," I admitted. "It was when Night Court was over for the Princess, so she could answer me without being interrupted by the Nobles."
"But...that's too much of a coincidence." The fourth being asked, looking between her own 'gun' and Metzger.
"Soarin..." Metzger cautioned.
"Nope, there wasn't any radio in there as far as I saw, Commander." Soarin shook his head.
"What, what's a coincidence?" I asked, fearing what they'd answer.
"...We were supposed to head a few kilometers north of here," Spitfire admitted, leafing the journal, "We kept getting static messages every midnight for the past three months on the radio. Command wanted us to check out what it was."
"But...north of here is what used to be my main base..." I mused then realized what that implied.
Before any of us can say anything, it hit midnight, and the book began its calendar spell.
5th Era of Equestria, 977 Year of Celestia, 22nd of Lunius, dies Saturni
As the book wrote by itself for all of us to see, one of the chariot radios began to broadcast static. We all turned around, and silently watched as the calendar spell finished and the static from their radio ended.
All of them looked at each other, then their gazes turned on me.
"Well, at least we know it's not a damn Jerry." The fourth being quipped, before being elbowed in the ribs by Metzger.
"Shove it Lightning." She growled.
