The Birth of the Symbiotic 7: Part 1 of 4: Arrival of the Symbiotes

Twilight Sparkle was busy going through all her things as it was almost time for the final bell to ring. Then suddenly, she heard an important bulletin on the Tv.

(As The News Reporter says).
We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming for this important news update. As you all know, there have been a lot of strange phenomena occurring as of late.

There have been multiple reports of unknown blobs of goo being spotted across Canterlot City, as of now the origin of these blobs of goo remain a mystery. Clean-up teams are at this moment having a hard time cleaning up the blobs of goo.

More will be known as the story continues.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Twilight was walking home from school when she heard a strange rustling in a nearby bush.

"Hmm, maybe it's just a squirrel scurrying in the bushes," Twilight thought to herself.

However, her thoughts were interrupted when the rustling in the trees continued.

Twilight, curious, set her backpack next to her so she could bend her knees down so she could better investigate the source of the noise.

However, while Twilight was looking around, she didn't see a purple blob of goo slither out of the bush and into the smallest compartment in her backpack.

"Hmm, I must have probably scared it off, whatever it was," Twilight thought as she stood back up and put her backpack back on.

Twilight then continued her walk home, unaware that she was carrying a surprise visitor in her backpack.

Later that night, Twilight was busy tinkering with some tech in her laboratory. Twilight had always had a habit of staying up late to tinker with something.

However, her drowsiness was starting to get the better of her, as her eyes were starting to get heavy, and she was doing everything she could to not pass out from exhaustion.

Eventually, she had finally given in to her exhaustion as her head rested on the worktable. Twilight was fast asleep as she was snoring. She had gotten so sleepy that she had forgotten to take off her glasses.

Just then, the purple blob of goo started slithering out of her backpack pocket and onto the floor of her laboratory.

Seizing the perfect opportunity, the blob then slithered onto Twilight's leg, making Twilight stir a little from the cold sensation.

"Mmm, Sunset, your skin is so cold," Twilight murmured in her sleep.

Once she had stopped moving and continued snoring, the Symbiote had slithered onto the top of her back and then started to seep into her skin.

It continued this until it was completely out of sight.

The rest of the night was silent and peaceful.

The Next day, Sunset Shimmer was in her Biology class, paying attention to what the teacher was telling them.

"Ok class, today we will be talking about the biology of Symbiosis," The teacher said as he went through a power-point presentation.

"You see class, Symbiosis is a term in biology that best describes any kind of relationship or interaction between two dissimilar organisms." The Teacher said.

"For example, Jackals and small animals sharing the same water supply, or Both wolves and bears hunting the same prey in their habitats, or parasites such as Fleas and mosquitoes feeding on the blood from other organisms." Mr. Mays said. "These are just examples of how the effects of Symbiosis can work.

"Alright, for today's lab assignment, you will all be paired in groups of two to test the effects of symbiosis

"Um, Mr. Mays," Moon-Dancer said. "Where is my lab partner, Twilight."

"Oh yes, about that," Mr. Mays said. "I heard from her parents that Twilight has fallen grievously ill and won't be able to come to class for the next three weeks."

"Don't worry, Moon Dancer, I will be your partner for today," Mr. Mays said.

"Twilight ill," Sunset thought to herself. "That doesn't make any sense, yesterday she was perfectly healthy the last time that I saw her."

After school was over for the day, Sunset gathered the rest of the girls to tell them what was going on with Twilight.

"Wow, Twilight Sparkle, Canterlot High's biggest egg-head, missed a whole day of school," Rainbow said.

"It's unlike Twi to miss a day of school," Rarity said.

"Hold on, I'm going to go call Twilight and make sure that she's ok," Sunset said. "I heard from my biology teacher that Twilight was grievously ill."

Sunset then dialed Twilight's Phone Number, and when she responded, she sounded like someone was on their last legs.

"Mm...Hello," Twilight said in a groggy tone of voice.

"Twi, oh thank goodness you answered, we all have been very worried about you," Sunset said with a sigh of relief.

"Thank you for the good words of comfort," Twilight murmured. "I don't know why I'm so sick, at least I'm feeling a little better after getting something small to eat."

"I think I have a high fever," Twilight said as she was checking her thermometer, which said 100.1 degrees F.

"Well, I'm glad that you're feeling a little better," Sunset said.

"Yeah, I just feel really hungry right now," Twilight said.

"Hey Sunset, is it ok if you could spend the night at my place," Twilight asked. "My parents are going to be out of town for a business trip and they didn't have enough money to hire a Baby-Sitter."

"Why, of course, I would love to spend the night with you," Sunset said as she got on her Motorcycle after waving goodbye to the others.

(Meanwhile, on that same night).

"Hungry," Twilight murmured in her sleep.

Sunset was asleep on the living room couch.

"We need sustenance," Twilight murmured. "This pain is hurting us. We must feed."

Twilight's eyes shot open, and it was as if Twilight was under a hypnotic trance, or it was like something was controlling her mind.

Twilight then quietly opened her windowsill, making sure that the window did not make any kind of noise so that it wouldn't wake Sunset up.

Then when Twilight was outside, she started walking toward the Canterlot Plaza.

"Hello there, miss," The Store Clerk said. "What can I do for ya."

"Hungry, need to find food," Twilight murmured to herself as she completely ignored the clerk and started walking towards the food aisle like a zombie.

Twilight started getting various food products such as pizza, Mozzarella Sticks, Sausages, and Chicken Tenders.

Twilight tried to walk out but a voice in her head said, "Stop," Twilight then stopped.

"Pay for the food first, then we can leave," The voice said as Twilight then moved robotically towards the register to pay for the food.

As Twilight was walking out with the food, she then sat down on a bench and started eating the food she bought.

Suddenly, Indigo Zap, Sugarcoat, and Gilda appeared out of nowhere and started harassing Twilight.

"Hey there loser," Gilda said. "What is a loser like you doing at this time of night."

"Go Fuck yourself, your stupid bitch," Twilight said even though it was like something was speaking through Twilight. "We don't have the patience for your banter, so shut up and go away before I bite your head off."

"What did you say," Gilda roared as she tried to punch Twilight.

Twilight began to change as purple tendrils enveloped her whole body. Twilight then sank her teeth into Gilda's fist as her teeth turned razor sharp, biting Gilda's hand clean off.

Gilda then screamed in agony as she tried to stop the bleeding.

Indigo and Sugarcoat could only watch as Twilight was now turned into a complete monster.

"You bit my hand off, I'll sue you," Gilda said.

"No, I don't think so," The Monster said as she then grabbed Gilda's other hand. "If any of you notify the police about anything that has transpired tonight, we will find out and we will find you, and then we will bite your heads off next."

"Twilight, please stop we're sorry we'll never bully you again," Indigo said now in tears.

"I'm sorry, Twilight's not here right now, she's busy counting Z's," The Creature said. "Call us, Gluttony." Gluttony said. "Now buzz off, so we can finish our meal in peace!"

"C'mon Gilda let's get out of here and take you to a hospital," Sugarcoat said as they left while Gluttony reverted to Twilight's form as she continued to eat her meal.

Twilight returned home and after quietly closing the window she got into bed and her eyes closed once again.

"Sweet dreams, my Host," Gluttony said while Twilight continued to snore.
