The two seaponies immediately turned around and flopped down on Novo's bed, both of them scratching their chins in thought. Skystar pondered several activities involving seashells, which led to thinking of seashell necklaces, which led to macaroni necklaces. It was a pretty out the blue question. Skystar was a bit dazed by it at the start, but she quickly decided that a belly rub from Pinkie Pie of all ponies would surely be something special. Skystar grinned as Pinkie pulled her hooves away and bit a nearby pink blanket with her teeth, pulling it over Skystar’s body as she settled in for a long nap. "You just get some shut eye! I’ll stay with you until your mom gets back! Then you can probably get something to eat!" She hadn’t noticed until now how much noise Skystar’s stomach was making. Well, you can’t please everyone, she thought.
"Oh, thank you, Pinkie Pie." Skystar said with a bit of a half-yawn mixed in. "You and your friends were seriously the best thing to ever happen to Seaquestria." And with that, she was out like a light.
Pinkie heaved a sigh. Her work here was finally done. She watched her friend sleeping, her eyes flicking back and forth from Skystar’s cute smile to her adorably plump belly. Finally, Pinkie Pie gave a loud yawn, realizing that she was getting quite tired herself, and laid down on the bed right next to her friend. She briefly glanced over at Skystar's magazine, hesitating for a brief moment, before reaching over and grabbing it.
After all, one quick read couldn’t hurt. A few sticky pages or not, it would still be a long while before any of her friends came back home. And just as long as Queen Novo wasn’t around to see her, all she wanted to spend as much time with her fish friend as possible.
