In Ponyville, the ponies of the town were all seen having a chat with each other about their work, how their days are going, and many more while the young's were seen playing with each other in the town. Things were going smoothly for the ponies of the tranquil town like always in their daily lives.
However, in the centre of town, there was a being seen walking in the peaceful town, the creature was green coloured, has orange horns, a green horn on it's forehead, green eyes, shelled wings, and an insect looking mane. The creature stood taller than an average stallion and is completely different compared to the ponies in town.
The creature is known as Thorax, the changeling King, and the student of Twilight Sparkle. The changeling King was seen making his way to her teacher Princess Twilight Sparkle's castle for another lesson of magic. However, today is not just going to be another typical day of gleaning some information about magic, today is also going to be the day where he asks his teacher out on a date. The changeling King has eyed Twilight for four months now and everytime he visited her, she was as elegant as a rose even without her make-up that she puts on frequently.
Once the changeling King made it to the front doors of the castle, he stopped and took a deep breath first, exhaling it in the process.
"Okay Thorax, you can do this." He encouraged himself.
After that, he slowly raised his right hoof up and prepared to knock on the door. But, just as his hoof was an inch near the door, he noticed that the right one was slightly opened which was perplexing.
"Huh? Did Twilight forget to close her front doors?" Thorax asked himself with a bewildered expression.
But, he shrugged it off and decided to open the door anyways. So, he pressed his hooves against the doors and pushed them open. After that, he stepped inside the castle and closed the doors behind him in the process.
"Twilight must be in the library." He assumed. After that, the changeling King began to make his way to the library of Twilight's house.
After walking through the hallway and going upstairs for a minute, Thorax has reached the second floor hallway of the castle, and the library doors were right in front of him which made him smile. It was time for him to ask Twilight out on a lovely date.
"Library here I come." He told himself with a smile.
After walking through the hallway for a brief second, Thorax has made it to the library doors. He was about to press his hooves on them and push them open but suddenly, the sound of somepony falling and grunting made him stop.
"What's going on in there?" Thorax asked himself in a bewildered tone.
He decided to investigate so, he charged his horn and gripped onto the two doors with his magic. After that, he gently pushed the door open. He then looked in front of him and saw his teacher Twilight Sparkle sitting on the floor while looking down on the floor with a dejected expression.
"Miss Twilight?"
When Twilight heard the familiar voice, she looked up at the front doors of her castle's library and saw her student Thorax standing right in front of her. She must assume that he is here for another lesson of magic considering that she told him that today she is going to educate him about a couple of practical magic spells which got him extremely exhilarated.
"Oh um... hello Thorax." Twilight greeted with a fake smile "We're not going to have a lesson today so, sorry." She told him with a depressed expression.
"Twilight, are you okay?" Thorax asked as he walked up to her. Once he got to her, he bent down and offered a hoof to her.
"I'm fine thanks." Twilight said as she grabbed his hoof. After that, Thorax helped her up on her hooves.
"What happened Twilight?"
"Oh it's nothing really." Twilight lied with a chuckle.
"Twilight look." Thorax said with a sigh "I know that something is wrong judging by your expression and voice. You can tell me the truth, after all, I am your student and friend. And friends should always help each other." He told her.
Twilight was beyond astonished and touched by her student/friend's statement. She must assume that it must've been because of all of those lessons he had with her about the significance friendship and what it means. She was so proud of him.
"Thank you Thorax." Twilight said in a grateful tone. A brief second later, the alicorn Princess let out a sigh and began to disclose to the changeling King about what is up with her "You see Thorax, today I had a visit from a parents and they said that they signed me up for the Ponyville talent show counselling me to perform my ballet skills to my subjects." She told him.
Thorax was nonplussed by this, he's heard of this talent show held in Ponyville from a banner in town. But, he didn't expect Twilight to participate in it. However, what got him perplexed was why Twilight was depressed about this.
"And just why is this a bad thing?" Thorax asked in a perplexed tone.
"Well it's just that..."
"It's just..."
The rest of the words that Twilight was going to reveal to Thorax is just stuck in her throat, this is due to her being very anxious to tell him.
"It's okay Twilight, you can tell me." Thorax said softly "I won't make fun of you or anything." He told her in an assuring tone.
When Twilight heard Thorax's assuring words, she took a deep breath and exhaled it in the process.
"It's just that I'm not good at ballet." She confessed.
"Really?" Thorax asked with a perplexed expression, and Twilight responded with a. Nod "How so?" He asked again.
"Well, back when I was a little filly, my parents booked me a ballet studio in Canterlot which I absolutely hated due to me always falling down." Twilight said with a humiliated expression "Even though, I am only slightly good with some moves." She said quietly.
"Now that's quite the tragedy." Thorax said in shock "I must assume that you're feeling anxious about this show that you're about to participate in." He told her.
"Anxious?! It's like a nightmare! I don't even know why my parents signed me up for these preposterous things!" Twilight shouted in vexation.
After the shouting, Twilight fell on the floor, smacked her face against it, and placed it on there. Then, she began to son and cry from the ordeal and thought of embarrassing herself in front of her entire subjects and friends as well as her mentor Princess Celestia.
When Thorax noticed Twilight dejection, he bent down and began to gently stroke her back in an attempt to console her.
"Don't cry Twilight." Thorax said softly "I would be as upset as you are right now. But, in a situation like this, I would find a solution to solve it like: seeking succour from my friends. In addition to that, you're not only a good teacher to me, you're also my best friend" He told her.
When Twilight heard Thorax's comforting words as well as him remembering the lessons she taught him, her crying was put to a stop and she looked up at Thorax with a smile on her muzzle as well as with drenched cheeks due to the amounts of tears that had flown down on her cheeks.
"Thank you so much Thorax." Twilight said "I don't know what I'd do without your consoling." She told him.
"Ah well it's-"
Thorax wasn't able to finish his sentence when Twilight lunged herself towards him and embraced him in a hug as a sign of appreciation for his comfort.
Thorax was currently blushing slightly from the hug, his body temperature began to rise up slightly due to him being hugged by his crush and teacher. A brief second later, a smile slowly appeared on his muzzle.
Ten seconds later, Twilight released herself from the hug and looked at her student and saw that she has made him blush. The sight has made her giggle.
"You're definitely the best student and friend I could've ever have Thorax." Twilight told him with a smile.
"T-thank you Twilight." Thorax said smiling.
After the confession, Twilight looked up at the clock and realized that it was half past twelve which was almost the time when the talent show was starting, her eyes then widened in horror.
"Oh my goodness! The talent show!" Twilight exclaimed in fear.
"Should we go now?" Thorax asked, and Twilight responded with a nod.
Then, Thorax and Twilight both stood up from the floor and ran out of the library. After that, the two royals began to make their way to the front doors of the castle where they will exit and head to Ponyville where the talent show is held in. However, Twilight needed to change first so, they both changed course to the changing room where she will get dressed. And the changing room is also known as Twilight's bedroom.
At the door of Twilight's bedroom, Thorax was seen standing in front of the door of the Princess's bedroom waiting until she comes out. During the wait, the changeling King was daydreaming about how wonderful he and Twilight would be as a couple.
"I wonder if she'll love me back?"
Then, Thorax's pondering sessions was put to an end when the door of Twilight's bedroom was pulled open.
The changeling King turned around, and when he did, his eyes widened. In front of her was Twilight dressed in a silky bright yellow dress. Her hair was tied back and brushed smoothly as well.
"Wow, she is beautiful."
"Thorax?"
When Thorax heard Twilight calling him, he immediately shook his head and snapped out of it.
"Ah... uh... yes Twilight?"
"I'm ready to head out." She told him.
"Really? Then let's go."
After that, Thorax and Twilight both began to run to the front doors of the castle in order to make it on schedule for the talent show.

Ponyville
In Ponyville, the ponies of the town were all seen heading to a particular area of the tranquil town along with some young foals. And the particular area is the centre of the town where the talent show is held in, many of the ponies have gathered at the front of the stage waiting for the show to commence.
After waiting for a minute, the Mayor of Ponyville walked up ton the stage platform and walked up to the microphone stand. Once she got to it, she tapped on the microphone two times, getting everyponies attention in the process.
"Hello everypony, thank you for your patience, and welcome to the talent show!" The mayor exclaimed, and the crowds of ponies cheered in happiness.
"Today we will have foals performing on stage showing their skills to you all that will astonish you all." The Mayor said with a smile "There will also be a special guest in the end too." She told them, and everypony began to talk to each other about who the special guest is.
"Without further Ado, let the talent show begin!" The Mayor exclaimed contentedly which made everypony cheer loudly in an enthusiastic way again.
The talent show has been lasting for fifty minutes now and the ponies have all seen many remarkable thing. First was foals doing stage acting of them all expressing their daily lives in Ponyville starting from: playing with each other, talking, going to school, having breakfast, and having dinner. Second there were foals performing tricks with hula hoops. One foal threw the circle hoop in the air making it spin in the process, while the other foal times the falling off the hoop and jumps through it. Thirdly, there were foals singing a beautiful song together on stage.
The ponies were truly flabbergasted by the foals adroit skills. They sure were extremely eligible to perform on stage! Now, it was time for the final performance.
"Alright everypony, it's time for the last performance which will be performed by our special guest." The Mayor told them which made all of them 'oooooh' in return "And the special guest is... Twilight Sparkle!" She exclaimed with a wide smile.
When everypony heard this, they all began to cheer loudly in an enthusiastic way due to the Mayor revealing that the Princess of Friendship would perform on stage in the talent show.
"Woohoo! It's time for our baby to perform!" Velvet exclaimed in happiness.
At the back of the stage, Twilight Sparkle was seen trembling anxiously due to her hearing the Mayor that it was her turn to perform as well as the sounds of the ponies cheering for her. Luckily, Thorax and Spike were there to relieve her anxiety.
"Twilight, are you okay?" Thorax asked.
"Y-yeah, I'm just anxious." She told him in a trembling tone.
When Thorax heard this, he wrapped his hooves around her neck softly and pulled her in for a hug, and Twilight blushed slightly when that happened.
"Don't worry Twilight, I know you're scared. I would be scared too if I was in a situation like this but, I know that you can do this. Nothing can stop you." He encouraged her.
Twilight was extremely touched by her student's encouragement. Never in once has her parents provided some encouragement to her when they were forcing her to participate in a specific activity. But Thorax on the other hoof, was showing her compassion and support in times of needs.
"Thank you so much for your comforting words Thorax." Twilight cooed "I appreciate it a lot." She told him.
"You're very welcome Twilight, after all, this is what friends are for." He told her, and Twilight was proud that her student remembers all of the lessons she taught him. A brief second later, Thorax released himself from the hug and gave Twilight a confident expression "Now go and show everypony your adroit dancing skills." He told her in an encouraging tone.
Twilight first took a deep breath and exhaled it, pushing all of the anxiety out of her body. After that, she turned around and walked forward and into the stage.
When the ponies saw the Princess of Friendship on stage.
"Woo! Twily!" Cheered Nightlight and Velvet in unison.
Twilight was agitated again but, as long as she remembers what Thorax had told her as well as his encouragement, she will be okay.
"Okay Twilight, you can do this."
A brief second later, Twilight stood up on two hooves and got into a dancing position. After that, the friendship Princess began to hop left and right. After five hops, she began to do twirls, five twirls later, the alicorn Princess flexed her hooves upwards, and extended her back right hoof backwards.
The ponies all clapped their hooves slightly from the start of Twilight's dance.
The alicorn Princess got back onto her normal stance and bowed to her subjects in a way to express her thanks. Then, she turned her head to her right and looked at Thorax.
"Come and join me Thorax."
When Thorax heard this, he blushed slightly.
"Oh uh..."
Thorax wasn't able to finish his sentence when Spike pushed him from behind making him yelp in surprise. A brief second later, he was sent stumbling towards Twilight, grabbing her in the process. That resulted in making the couple blush.
"Mares and gentlecolts, looks like King Thorax wants to get in on the fun!" The Mayor exclaimed which made everypony cheer again.
"Allow me to play a song for them." Spike said in a teasing tone. After that, he inserted a disk to play a love song for them.
When Thorax heard the music, he rolled his eyes in aggravation due to him remembering how Spike sung this song before when they were studying together which made him a little irked. However, this would be a good chance for him to sing and dance with Twilight.
Thorax: Hello. No need to be so shy and please don't go. I'm feeling lonely so let's spend the night. Holding hands if you'd like. And we can roam the halls with no one watching. I see

During the dance, Thorax was helping Twilight do twirls and simple steps while singing the song that nearly got stuck in his head due to Spike singing this all the time while he was studying magic spells. However, this song is perfect for the dance.
Thorax: No more. I'm through with banging on a closing door. I've played the game and I've been hurt before. And each time I swore. That I would never trust my heart again. Could it be

Twilight was truly touched by Thorax's words to her, he sure is the best changeling that she has ever met in her entire life! Then, she began to stare at her handsome King with a dreamy expression.
Thorax: And nopony sees. Through your eyes more than me. Your voice when you're near. Drowns out all that I hear. I'm head over heels. For your inhuman squeals. There's no other way. All I know is to say. Baby I love you (Baby I love ya). You're so fine. Baby I love you (Baby I love ya). I love ya 'cause you're mine, all mine. I love ya (Baby I love ya). You're so fine. Baby I love you (Baby I love ya). I love ya 'cause you're mine, all. Baby I love you.
Thorax ended the dance with a dip and the music ended. A brief second later, Twilight just couldn't help it anymore, so, she immediately planted a kiss on his lips, and Thorax began to blush madly from it. But, he wasn't going to let this chance slip by him so, he closed his eyes and kisses back.
Everypony erupted in applause and began to cheer and whistle loudly from dance. It sure was the most astonishing event that they have ever witnessed along with the kissing of the two royals as well as them finding love. However, adults had to cover their childrens eyes.
"Well done Thorax. You've won the heart of Twilight." Spike said in a proud tone.
