Chapter 2- stuck in the future

The older cmc walked through ponyville, while their younger counterparts followed wearing hooded robes to disguise themselves.

"ponyville sure has changed." said Applebloom.

The village had indeed changed over the years. Many buildings Applebloom knew were replaced with new buildings.

"they had to build alot of new buildings after the ponyville fire." said scoots.

"ponyville fire?" asked sweetie belle.

"we can explain later." said the older Noi.

They stopped in front of the library. It looked the same as before only with a large telescope sticking out of the roof.

"were here." said dinks.

Dinks knocked on the door.

"come in!" said a voice.

Dinks opened the door and gestured to the others. They all walked into the library. Inside twilight sat at a table reading a book. She had a shorter mane, and was taller than before.

"Dinky?" said twilight. "you dont have any lessons untill tomorrow."

"we have a problem." said dinks.

The crusaders removed their hoods.

"hi twi." said Applebloom.

Twilight looked with surprise.

"Dinky whats going on?" asked twilight.

Dinky pulled out the gem and handed it to twilight.

"this thing sent us here." said Dinky.

Twilight inspected the gem.

"a timestone?" said twilight. "these things can be used to travel through time."

"how do we get back?" asked Noi.

"it needs to recharge its power." said twilight. "a few days should do."

Twilight put the gem into a jewelry box.

"i think you should keep this under wraps." said twilight. "only a few should know."

"will comet know?" asked bloom.

"in time." said twilight.

"who's comet?" asked sweetie belle.

"twilight's husband." replied scoots. "only pony in ponyville that is as big of an egghead as twilight."

Twilight blushed lightly.

"hes off with spike right now." said twilight.

"We still have the problem of five fillies that look like us, somepony will put two and two together and find out." Said the older Noi.

"I have that covered." Said twilight.

Twilight magically opened a nearby closet and pulled out a cardboard box of various colored spray on dyes.

"These should help." Said twilight.

"Good idea!" Said Applebloom. "We dye our coats and manes!"

"Then if any pony asks, we can say that we are ponies visiting from another town!" Added Dinky.

"Shes definitely me alright." Said dinks.

The cmc had finished spraying the dyes onto themselves.

Applebloom dyed her coat orange with a dark red mane, Sweetie belle dyed her coat grey with a purple mane, Scootaloo dyed her coat red with a blue mane, Noi dyed her coat green with a bright green mane, and Dinky dyed her coat white with a brown mane.

"Thats good." Said belle.

"Now onto the next problem." Said bloom. "Where they stay."

"Couldnt ah stay with you?" Asked Applebloom.

"Sorry, its bad enough with caramel and applejack's babies." Said bloom.

Bloom looked at twilight.

"Ah can get fluttershy to watch her." Said bloom. "But ill have to tell her."

"She can keep a secret." Said twilight.

"My loft isnt big enough." Said belle. "But rarity has an extra room."

"By all means." Said twilight.

"I can take myself." Said dinks. "But ill have to tell pip too."

Dinky froze up.

"Pipsqueak?" Asked Dinky. "Why?"

Dinks chuckled.

"Hes my husband."

Dinky felt light headed.

"Me..... Pip........ Married....."

Dinky fainted.

"I knew she liked him." Said sweetie belle.

Scootaloo made a gaging gesture.

"Noi can stay with me." Said the older Noi. "I could use the company."

Noi looked at her older self.

"Doesnt carrot top still live there?" Asked Noi.

"She moved away a few years back." Said the older Noi.

"Looks like your going to be chilling with the awsomest pony in ponyville." Said scoots, nudging Scootaloo with her elbow.

"These next few days are going to be awesome!" Said Scootaloo.

Dinks magically lifted Dinky onto her back.

"I need to head home." Said dinks. "Pip is probably worried sick."

Dinks walked out of the library.

"Its getting late." Said twilight. "You should do the same."

"Right." Said bloom.

One by one the crusaders left with their older selves.

Applebloom walked alongside her older self towards fluttershy's cottage.

"So why did ya pick fluttershy's place?" Asked Applebloom.

"Well its close enough to the farm, plus her husband can keep an eye on ya." Said bloom.

They reached the cottage. Outside stood a large red stallion Applebloom instantly recognized.

"Big mac?"

Big mac looked alot like he did before, only his mane was slightly longer and he was missing his collar.

"Why is he here?" Asked Applebloom.

Bloom smirked.

"Who did ya think he married?"

Sweetie belle and belle reached a large carousel like building.

"Where are we?" Asked sweetie belle.

"The new an improved carousel boutique." Said belle.

"Its so big..." Said sweetie belle.

"Lets get inside." Said belle.

They stepped into the building. Inside an older rarity finished work on a dress.

"Perfect." Said rarity, taking a step back.

She was taller and her mane was curlier. she was wearing her red work glasses.

"Nice job sis." Said belle.

Rarity turned to face belle.

"What a present Surprise." Said rarity.

Rarity looked at sweetie belle.

"Who's this?" Asked rarity. "She looks like you when you were younger."

"Actually....." Began belle.

Dinky woke up as dinks reached her house.

"What happened?" Asked Dinky.

"You fainted." Replied dinks. "Try keeping it together in front of pip."

Dinky nodded as dinks opened the door to her house.

"Im home." Said dinks.

The two ponies stepped inside. Sitting on a couch was an older pipsqueak. He had a longer mane, brown hooves, a compass for a cutie mark, and a red scarf.

"Hey dink." Said pipsqueak.

He got off the couch and gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

"Sorry im late." Said dinks.

"Its alright." Said pipsqueak.

Pipsqueak looked at Dinky.

"Who is that?"

"Shes staying with us for a few days." Said dinks. "Is that alright?"

"Of course." Said pipsqueak.

"Why dont you go to the guest room." Said dinks.

Dinky nodded and walked down a nearby hallway.

"Theres something your not telling me." Said pipsqueak.

"This is going to sound crazy." Said dinks.

Dinks explained the situation to pipsqueak.

"Its crazy isnt it?" Said dinks.

"Don't worry." Said pipsqueak. "I believe you."

"Thank celestia." Said dinks.

"Speaking of younger ponies." Said pipsqueak.

They both sat down on the couch.

"When are we going to have some of our own?" Asked pipsqueak.

"I told you pip." Began dinks. "Once ive finished my studies with twilight, then we can have a little bundle of joy......"

Dinks smiled.

"Shouldnt be too long."

Pipsqueak smiled back.

"I hope not."

Scootaloo tried to keep up with her older self.

"Slow down!" Said Scootaloo.

"You of all ponies should know, i dont do slow." Said scoots.

Scootaloo stopped to catch her breath.

"So when do i learn to fly?" Asked Scootaloo.

Scoots flew over to Scootaloo.

"You got a ways to go kiddo." Said scoots.

Scoots picked up Scootaloo.

"Hold on!" Said scoots.

Scoots flew forward towards a cloud house

"This is awsome!" Said Scootaloo.

They stopped at the cloud house and landed in front of the front door.

"Wow im going to be awesome!" Said Scootaloo.

"Heh, this is nothing." Said scoots. "You should see my tricks."

Scoots opened the front door and the two stepped inside.

"Its dark in here." Said Scootaloo.

"Ill get the lights." Said scoots.

She turned the lights on. Lying on the couch was a light blue earth pony with a dark blue mane, with a checkered flag for a cutie mark wearing a necklace with a green gem.

"You should really lock the door when you leave." Said the pony, grinning.

"If i do that then how else can ya surprise me?" Said scoots.

Scootaloo raised an eyebrow

The pony got up and scoots approached him.

"Id find a way." Said the pony.

Scoots began to kiss the pony. Scootaloo watched in horror, frozen with shock.

"No....... Not me...." Thought Scootaloo.

Poor Scootaloo.

Next chapter, the cmc settle into their temporary homes and learn about the mysterious "ponyville fire."
