Pinkie Pie Is Faster Than Rainbow Dash
Author's Note
This was a totally random story, thus I have no regrets on making this. I have always wondered if Pinkie Pie is faster than Rainbow Dash herself ever since the ''Party of One'' episode. And Pinkie Pie always gets ahead of destination before Rainbow Dash does.

Wait, What?!
''If you are the fastest pony in all of Equestria then why does Pinkie Pie always reaches ahead of you?''
And there it was. Rainbow Dash was resting on a comfortable cloud that was the only one left in the open clear sky. She was thinking really hard about the conversation between her and Applejack the other day. Of course, she didn't believe her but a part of her felt like she did. She still remembered the time she was flying away from Pinkie Pie to decorate her birthday party and she was super fast. Rainbow Dash was amazed by her speediness for an earth pony. Although, Applejack is pretty fast too.
But of course, Pinkie Pie is just Pinkie Pie who can break the laws of physics.
Rainbow Dash flipped sides of her resting position, trying to come up more ways on how Pinkie Pie was faster than her. She could find lots of times on where she was. But she will not let that pink pony take her spot as the fastest pony in all of Equestria!
She tried to come up with a plan. She tapped herself on the head to think of one. A lightbulb had struck above her head and she zoomed right into the fluffy cloud which turned out to have no clouds in the sky anymore. She flew towards Sugar Cube Corner and spotted a pink pony behind a desert showcase counter table.
She had a line of customers trying to get their orders so maybe it wasn't the perfect timing for Rainbow Dash at the moment. Nevertheless, if this pink earth pony is faster than the blue pegasus then she can easily get the job done fast enough. Rainbow Dash was drawing a clock on her wrist to pass the time.
Pinkie Pie was handing a hoof full of sweets to a familiar draconequus.
''Oh,'' said Pinkie Pie. ''Hello there, Discord! What brings you here at Sugar Cube Corner?''
''Hello, Pinkie Pie!'' he chirped, turning into a bird for emphasis. ''I am just here to grab some sweets for my tea party I will be hosting for my dear and closest friend, Fluttershy.''
''Aw, but can't you just conjure them up with your chaos magic? And besides, you can do better than this for your very future special somepony,'' she said in a singsong voice, batting her eyelashes out flirtatiously.
''It has to be special for my dear friend or otherwise she would think I put no hard work in our friendship and what did you just say?'' he asked, popping an eyeball into her eyes suspiciously.
She gulped. ''Nothing!''
She passed another bag of candy to the next customer as the draconequus teleported off to his chaos dimension. She continued doing this with the other customers until there was no more left.
Rainbow Dash sighed in relief and flew over to her pink friend, taking a breath in exasperation. Pinkie Pie plotted a sign that said 'closed' on the counter table. She chimed down to a mysterious hole in the floor. Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow at this motion and stretched her eyelids out in frustration.
''Pinkie Pie, come on out here!'' she shouted. ''We need to have a serious talk with each other!''
There was a long moment of silence. Rainbow Dash was getting terrified for the first time.
''Come on, Pinkie Pie!'' she exclaimed, throwing her hooves up in the air. ''This isn't funny!''
Pinkie Pie giggled, coming back up from the ground almost startling the blue pegasus in front of her. Rainbow Dash squealed and jumped back which made the pink pony snicker in delight.
''You got to admit that was funny,'' said Pinkie Pie as she snickered further.
Grimaced, Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes out in annoyance. ''Not really.''
Pinkie Pie gasped dramatically. ''What?!''
''Anyways, Pinkie Pie, I am here to have a little chat with you.''
''Sure,'' Pinkie Pie replied. ''Go ahead and speak!''
She cleared up her throat. ''There is this pony that said you are far more faster than I, Rainbow Dash, the fastest pony in all of Equestria, but that is not true!'' She pounded her hooves on the counter table, startling the pink pony. She lowered her tone a bit. ''Anyways, so I was thinking if we could do a bit of a race?''
''Ooh!'' she beamed, bouncing up and down. ''That sounds like fun!''
Rainbow Dash gave a sly grin in response.
Princess Twilight Sparkle was standing on a cloud that was hovering above the ground a little. She was levitating a black and white checkered flag to announce the starting of the race. Spike, her royal advisor, was standing by her side with a whistle.
Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie were standing in position at the starting line with eagerness in their grins. Rainbow Dash blew a raspberry between her lips at the pink pony, whereas Pinkie Pie stuck out her tongue at her to act silly.
As the time passed by, the two competitors clenched their fists as they were so confident in starting the race. Twilight lowered her book in front of her as Spike pulled on her tail so she could start the race.
''Ready, 3...2...1...GO AND START!'' she announced, having Spike blow the whistle into the purple alicorn's ears which made Twilight glower at him. He sniggered and shrunk down to the ground.
On the other hoof, Rainbow Dash was running way faster than Pinkie Pie but in a moment not too soon she had caught up with her. Rainbow Dash sneered and escalated the power of her hooves further.
Pinkie Pie smiled happily and bounced herself from a tree to Rainbow Dash's side. She stuck out her tongue and increased her speed to go faster to be ahead of the blue pegasus. Rainbow Dash growled under her breath and escalated further to go ahead of the pink pony.
They both ignored their directions as they passed a familiar orange pony with a cowgirl hat trotting by with a sophisticated white unicorn. She raised an eyebrow and realised it was her two friends having a...race? This brought a devious smirk on her lips. Rarity noticed this and gave a questioning look.
Alright, Rainbow Dash thought to herself. Now is your chance, Rainbow Dash. Make your fastest move.
She created a surge and rocketed further to pass the pink pony. She secretly cheered and formed a raspberry as she noticed the finishing line was nearly in front of her.
Oh, yeah! I am nearly winning and beating this pink pony and not a moment too soon I will be up there on the board as the number one fastest pegasus in all of Equestria!
Unfortunately, she was so caught up in her thoughts that it made her speed decrease. Pinkie Pie took this chance and zoomed right towards the finishing line. Rainbow Dash's eyes widened and had her mouth opened in agape.
Her ears twitched as a crowd of ponies ran towards the pink pony cheerfully. They all picked her up in the air and trembled upon the blue pegasus as they ran in excitement by carrying the pink pony above them. This brought anger towards Rainbow Dash and puffed up her cheeks with stream coming out of her ears. She slowly cooled down as a yellow hoof was placed on top of the blue pegasus' shoulder.
''Sorry, Rainbow Dash,'' said the yellow pegasus. ''These things happen and it happened to me a lot. I guess now you understand how I really felt when I lost at everything.''
Applejack sniggered. ''Yeah, Dash. How does it feel to be-YOW!''
She was suddenly caught off as Rarity yanked her with her tail. Applejack rubbed her flank and looked towards the blue pegasus in an apologetic manner.
''Gee,'' she uttered. ''Sorry, Rainbow Dash.''
''Yeah,'' said Rainbow Dash. ''It's fine, no worries.''
They all looked at each other in confusion. Since when has this blue pegasus never worried about losing a race? A pink pony bounced on over to them with a golden trophy balancing on top of her head.
''Hey, guys! Look what I have got! Mayor Mare gave this to me for winning a race. Apparently, they all wanted me to have a race with Rainbow Dash and they said if I did then they would give me one thousand bits!''
''One- Thousand-'' Rainbow Dash murmured, chattering her eyes and pitching her voice. She soon collapsed to the ground. Applejack picked her up by placing the blue pegasus on her back.
Fluttershy had gotten Applejack's dog Winona to splatter the blue pegasus in drool to wake her up. Rainbow Dash groaned as she woke up and noticed spit all over her face. She wiped all of the substance off her face.
''What happened?'' she inquired, having her voice crack.
''Well-'' Pinkie Pie trailed off as Applejack had stuck a hoof to her mouth to prevent her to stop blabbering on about the entire scene in every single detail. She took it out of her mouth and stepped forward to approach the blue pegasus.
''Let's just say you lost a race between you and Pinkie Pie,'' she briefly summarised.
Rainbow Dash's eyes crossed. ''Did you really had to rub that in my face?''
She sighed in despondent. ''Why? How are you faster than me, Pinkie Pie? Now I guess that means I am not a wonderbolt by getting beaten over by an earth pony!''
Applejack cleared her throat and lifted up her hoof but Twilight put it back down.
''Rainbow Dash,'' said Twilight, ''just because you had lost in a race between an earth pony doesn't mean you stop being a wonderbolt that has always been your dream. What matters to us most is that you are our friend.''
''And that is all that matters,'' Pinkie Pie chimed in. ''Besides, you can be the fastest pegasus in all of Equestria.''
Rainbow Dash looked around at all her friends and smiled back as they all gave sympathetic smiles. A tear dropped from her eye but she clearly wiped it away.
''Darn it!'' she exclaimed. ''Now you got me acting all sappy!''
They all rolled their eyes and laughed. Rainbow Dash joined along hysterically.
Rainbow Dash was sitting on a rocking chair in front of her fireplace in her cloud house as Tank was sleeping on a pillow next to her. She got out a quill and parchment to write what she had learnt today.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I am writing this letter to you because I have learnt a very important lesson today about friendship. What I learnt was to not worry about the dos and the don'ts, but worry about the friends surrounding you. You shouldn't-
She trailed off as realization had struck her.
''Wait a minute,'' she muttered. ''We don't write to Princess Celestia or in our journal anymore so why am I doing this?'' She shrugged it off and scrunched the piece of parchment into a ball and tossed it into a trashcan.
She ducked herself and her pet tortoise into the covers of their bed and switched off their light lamp. They peacefully snuggled and closed their eyes entering the world of dreamland. Rainbow Dash was standing in the middle of a field standing by a grey earth pony with dull purple hair.
Rainbow Dash licked her lips and zoomed as Princess Twilight Sparkle had announced for the competitors to start the race. Unfortunately, Maud was winning and passed through the finishing line. This had put a damper to Rainbow Dash's dream. Anger puffed inside her cheeks and she growled in frustration.
''NOOO!'' she screamed in terror, waking herself and her pet tortoise up in their bed.
