It had been just 2 weeks since twilights death, Starlight was in the castle in tears, spike was doing a little better, but he was still obviously sad.
“why, Why, WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN! Starlight screamed as she slammed her head on her pillow crying.
“We failed..why couldn’t we just BE THERE FOR HER.
The purple unicorn heard a loud knock on the door, it was spike.
“Come In”.. Starlight said.
“Uh..are you ok.. Spike asked in a worrying tone.
“Yes. I will be fine. Once I find a resurrecting spell in the library. Starlight said.
“Woah, woah- a resurrecting spell? I know you miss her- but that takes a lot of power? Spike said.
“So what? I would do anything to have her back! Starlight said in a angry tone.

“Ok..I found one (yawn) after 6 hours of searching.. but it says you have to take another life..to do so. Starlight said.
“Are you sure you wanna go through with this? And who’s life would we take anyway? Spike said.
“Tempest!”

“Because twilight said give tempest a chance. Spike said.
It was dead silence for a few seconds.
“Maybe..we can ask her first..so if she says yes.. it’s not like we forced her.. Starlight said.
“I guess that makes since, but we should check with Celestia first. Spike said.
“Agreed.

“Hello, Princess Celestia..me and spike were thinking about something..
“What is it.. Celestia said in more of a dull tone than she usually sounds.
“We were thinking about doing a resurrecting spell on twilight, but in order to do it..someone else has to die.. so we were gonna ask tempest, if she will do it.. willingly. Spike explained.
“Well, technically, if she was willingly to do it, it wouldn’t be illegal, but a resurrecting spell, do you think you have to power to do that starlight? Celestia asked.
“Yes. Your majesty.
Ok then..you can go ask her with my permission. Celestia declared.

“Hello, um..may we see tempest shadow. Starlight asked sheepishly.
The police pony gestured them to her cell.
As starlight walked up to tempest cell, she saw starlight and immediately said.
“Why are you here, I know your not happy with me.. Tempest said.
“Your right. I will never forgive you, but we came here to ask you a question. Starlight said.
Tempest suddenly felt better thinking it was gonna be something good.
“As you know, twilight is no longer with us, but Starlight has managed to find a resurrecting spell, but it requires for ones life to be taken. Do you agree, say yes or no. Spike said.
Tempest didn’t wanna be in the jail cell, she knew she deserved everything that was happening to her, so she finally made up her mind and said.
“Yes. I agree. Tempest said.
“Starlight felt happy in the inside. But guilty at the same time, but mostly, happy.
“Ok then.. I should get this news to Celestia so we can start planning. Starlight said.

“She said yes. Spike told celestia.
“She did? Willingly? — ok.. Starlight find that resurrecting spell. I’ll bring twilight the the castle so we can do this as soon as possible. Celestia said.

“Don’t worry my daughter.. you won’t be down there for much longer.. Princess Celestia said as she took twilight out of the casket.

Although starlight was still mad at the mane 5, she felt they had a right to know about what there doing, Cadence and shining amor too.
“I really wish we hadn’t yelled at twilight, or left her! Pinkie said as the rest of the mane 4 were in sugar cube corner until they heard two knocks on the door.
“Come in.. pinkie said. “Well, I thought I might tell you, we are doing a resurrecting spell on twilight, and we think you should have the right to be there when it happens, and if you don’t mind tell shining amor and Princess cadence too. Starlight explained.
“Ok..we will, and— wait! I wanna thank you starlight, for even having the gut to do this. Pinkie pie admitted.
Starlight did a small smile then walked out of sugar cube corner.

The mood was dead serious. The mane 5, shining amor, cadence, capper, the rest of them, even queen novo, the cute mark crusaders, and sunburst, trixie and maud, were there to see the resurrection.
“Tempest! You may come up here now. Celestia said in her canterlot voice.
Tempest walked up in shame, but she couldn’t turn back now.
“Here goes nothing. Starlight said.
The whole crowd was watching starlight do the spell as tempest was slowly dying.
“It’s-working! Starlight said letting the crowd know.
Tempest fell dead to the ground.
“I-agh..what happened? And why is everyone in my castle-? And why is there a casket right beside me? Twilight said.
“Woah one question at a time! Starlight said in a happy tone as the mane 5 and her went in for a hug.
“Well- this is.. umm random. Weren’t we just fighting tempest? Twilight said. “About that.. Starlight said pointing to her dead body.
“Huh? Please explain I don’t remember anything it’s almost like i passed out. Twilight said. “Long story short tempest sorta killed you so I found a resurrecting spell and brought you back to life. Starlight admitted.
“Wow- I was dead? I can’t believe it- but thank you- thank you! Twilight said squeezing starlight. Starlight blushed a little then hugged her back.
“Twily! I missed you so much we got a whole story to tell! Starlight legit got so mad she went full on dragon ball z mode. Shining amor said winking at starlight.
The rest of them were so happy and all got caught up after all of them left, (celestia took tempest to her casket just to make that clear) it was just twilight and starlight in the room. (Spike left to his room after everyone else left.
“Hey, starlight I just really wanna thank you again, you didn’t have to do what you did. Twilight said grabbing starlights hoofs.
“But I did, I couldn’t let my best friend die! Starlight said.
Twilight smiled.
They just sat there in silence for a couple minutes until starlight broke the silence.
“Twilight can I tell you something? Starlight asked.
“Sure! Twilight said.
“I’ve loved you for a long time and- I don’t know how to say this but will you be my marefriend? Starlight asked.
