Changeling Hive 11:00am
In the Changeling Hive, the changelings of the Kingdom were seen walking through town, talking to each other, doing work and many more just like what they do in their daily lives. While the young drones were all seen playing with each other in playgrounds in the Changeling Hive.
On the third floor on the changeling Hive which only guards, chefs, advisors and the royal family could access. A four years old changeling and alicorn hybrid colt known as Alistair who is the Prince of Friendship and the Changeling Hive as well as the son of King Thorax and Queen Twilight Sparkle was seen packing up some things in his bedroom due to him heading to Ponyville soon.
The reason why he will be going to Ponyville is because, he wants to get a gift for his mother due to today being mother's day. The young Prince has already given gifts to his father on father's day last month, now, it is his mother's turn to receive a gift.
"Alright, that should be everything." Alistair said as he placed a bag full of bits into a shopping bag. "Time to go to Ponyville." He told himself with a smile.
Then, the young Prince turned to his left and faced his room door. After that, he walked up to it, gripped onto the door handles with his magic, pulled them open, and walked out of his bedroom. Closing it behind him in the process.
The young Prince made another left turn and began to walk to the third floor hallway doors so that he can reach the town then the front doors and gates of the Hive, he also did not tell his mother about going to Ponyville due to him wanting it to be a surprise. However, once he has made it to the middle of the hallway, heard some chuckling and giggling noises coming from the living room doors next to him.
"What's going on in there?" Alistair asked looking at the doors with a perplexed expression.
He then decided to do an investigation so, he pressed his right hoof on the slightly opened right door and gently pushed it open. Then, he peeked through the door frame and saw his father and mother in there with his father putting a golden necklace with a purple heart over his mother's neck.
"Happy mother's day my elegant wife." Thorax said with a smile.
"Thory, you know that I sometimes don't like precious jeweleries." She reminded him with a giggle.
"I know but, I would do anything to make you happy Twinkle's." He told her which made her smile in return. A brief second later, the changeling King leaned his face near Twilight's and kissed her in the lips with his eyes closed. And Twilight kissed back with her eyes closed.
Alistair had to back away from the door due to him still being very young to see the things that adults do.
"Focus Alistair, you have to go to Ponyville to find a great gift for your mother." He told himself sternly.
After that, the changeling Prince turned to his right and continued to walk to the doors of the third floor hallway. Once he got to it, he gripped onto them with his magic and pulled them open, exiting it and closing the doors behind him in the process.
Ponyville 11:30am
In Ponyville, the ponies of the peaceful town were all seen having a chat with each other like they always do in their daily lives. However, there were some foals giving some gifts to their mothers on mother's day which made the mother's happy.
In the centre of town, the changelicorn Prince Alistair was seen making his way to Ponyville's book store after a thirty minutes flight from his home to the town. During the walk, the young Prince saw many of his subjects waving at him with smiles on their muzzles which he gladly returned by waving back.
A brief moment later, Alistair has made it to the front door of Ponyville's book store.
"Hopefully the book is still here." Alistair said.
Then, he gripped onto the door handle with his magic, twisted it, and pushed it open. After that, he entered the store, closing the door behind him in the process.
Once Alistair was inside, he took a quick observation around the room and saw that it wasn't crowded which made him smile in delight. He then wasted no time and began to head to the window section of the store where the book is.
After running past three bookshelves sections for fifteen seconds, Alistair has made it to the windows area of the store. He looked in front of him and saw the book that he needs to purchase was right in front of him! The sight has made him smile widely.
"Alright!" Alistair exclaimed as he rushed to the window.
Once he got to it, he activated his horn and slowly levitated the book up from the book stand. Once he's got the book, he turned around and began to make his way to the bits checkout section.
Ten seconds later, the young Prince has made it to the bits checkout section and placed the book on the counter.
"That would be twenty bits please."
When Alistair heard this, he reached out for his bag of bits in his shopping bag and pulled it out with his right hoof. He opened it and levitated twenty bits out of the bag. Then, he placed it on the counter.
"Can you also wrap the book up in a wrapping paper for me please?" Alistair asked kindly.
"Why sure." The mare behind the counter said as she grabbed the bits and placed them in a box. After that, she pulled out a roll of purple wrapping paper and wrapped the book which took twenty seconds to do. "Have a nice day Prince Alistair." She said with a smile.
"Thank you and you have a good one too." He told her as he placed the book and money bag in his bag.
After that, Alistair turned around and began to make his way to the front door of the shop where he will exit and head to his next and finally destination.
After buying the book in the book store, Prince Alistair was now seen buying the next present in a flower store.
"Which one would be the most suitable?" Alistair asked himself while scrutinizing the flowers on the table.
When he averted his eyes to his right, Alistair saw a wrap of velvet flowers placed on the right side of the long table. The young Prince smiled joyfully at the sight of finding the perfect flower.
"Perfect." Alistair said with a pleasant smile.
Then, the changelicorn activated his horn and slowly grabbed the wrap of flowers with his magic. After that, he levitated the flower towards him.
"Hello sir, I would like to buy this flower please." He told the mare behind the shop.
"Of course, that would be six bits please."
When Alistair heard this, he grabbed his bag of bits from his shopping bag and opened it. He looked in it and saw that he still has six more bits. So, he pulled the bits out of the bag with his right hoof and placed them on the counter.
"Thank you Prince Alistair, have a lovely day."
"You too sir." Alistair said as he placed the wrap of flowers in his bag. After that, he turned around and walked away from the store "Alright! That's everything purchased! Time to head back home!" He told himself with a smile.
After that, Alistair began to run to the entrance of Ponyville.
Changeling Hive 12:30pm
After walking through crowds of ponies in Ponyville as well as flying in the air for an hour, Prince Alistair has finally made it back home. He then walked to the front gates and pushed them open. After that, he began to head to the front doors of the Hive where two guards salted to the Prince and pushed the doors open.
"Thank you." Alistair said as he walked through the doors.
Alistair has made it back to the third floor hallway after a two minutes walk through town as well as saying hello to his subjects. He gripped onto the door handles with his magic and pulled them open. After that, he walked into the hallway, closing the doors behind him in the process. Immediately, he heard somepony calling him.
"Alistair!"
Alistair looked in front of him and saw his mother running up to him. Once she got to him, she bent down and looked at him with a concerned expression.
"Where have you been honey?"
"I went to Ponyville to buy you these mommy!" Alistair said as he levitated the wrap of flowers as well as the wrapped book in front of him.
When Twilight noticed the two gifts, she first grabbed the wrap of flowers and placed it behind her for a second. After that, she grabbed the rectangular present. She looked down at her son and saw that he has an exhilarated expression as if he wants her to open it so, she ripped the wrapping paper off. Once Twilight has ripped off the paper, her eyes widened when she saw what was in her hooves.
In her hooves is the magic book that she always wanted ever since she was a little filly! Back in her foalhood, she has asked for her parents for book before but, they have refused saying that it was very expensive. But the fact that her son has bought her the book after introducing the book to him during their walk through Ponyville last year has absolutely touched her.
Twilight then dropped the book on the floor and looked down at her son with tears of happiness in her eyes.
"Thank you so much honey." Twilight exclaimed as she grabbed her son and pulled him in for a hug.
"It's okay mommy." Alistair said as he hugged back "You're the best mommy I could've ever have. I love you so much." He told her while nuzzling her cheek.
"I-I l-love you t-too Alistair." Twilight cooed while sobbing. "T-the best g-gift ever is definitely h-having you by my side." She told him.
"Aww thank you." Alistair said in a contented tone "Happy mother's day." He told her softly.
