This chapter is entirely optional, it only serves to explain some things that have been asked repeatedly. If you already know about Terratech and Factorio, you don't really need to look at this, but you can if you want.

I also made the habit of calling each resources by it's unrefined name, this makes it easier to understand, but know that most recipes do call for the refined version.
