Set after "The Perfect Pear" and Apple Bloom's birth and before "The Cutie Mark Chronicles" flashbacks, Pear Butter and Bright Mac are on their way to Vanhoover to meet Grand Pear with the intent of making amends. While waiting at the train station, the apple parents separately encounter mares and stallions that will be recognized as the parents of Equestria's future heroes.
