Chapters Earth 1954
The year was 1954, and all nations around the Earth were beginning to find peace with each other after the establishment of the United Nations in the United States in order to maintain international peace and prevent other wars from happening around the world. Everything seemed peaceful in the Earth however, things are starting to change.
A few months ago, three American nuclear submarines have been lost in the Western coast which the government are growing perplexed and concerned of. This has resulted in loosing 27 crews in the subs.
Government officials thinks that it was the fault of a giant mysterious creature that has been sighted in Japan a couple of years ago, it's sound was even heard on sonars too. Since that, no scientists were able to determine what exactly this creature is since it's two orange deer looking horns, it's green horn, it's insect looking mane, and four green coloured hooves were seen while it was swimming in the water. All they knew was it was attracted to nuclear energy.
Therefore, a scientific organization called 'Equinarch' named due to the creature's Equin looking structure stepped in and began to think of a solution to kill the beast. But, they already have a plan.
The plan was to set up electric power grids run by nuclear power cables on an island to lure the creature there and then kill it with an atomic bomb in the end. This took six weeks to accomplish due to some of them having to build the power grids, while some had to study the large creature.
After the three days, it was seen that Eqinarch's plan was working. The creature was now heading to the island where the electrical grids were. Then, the organization began to instigate the second and final phase of their plan.
So, the human soldiers got on destroyers which are now emplaced in a far away distance from the island so that it doesn't get hit by the shock wave of the atomic bomb. The soldiers then put on some goggles in order to shield their eyes from the illumination of the strong weapon. A brief second later, a soldier began to count down.
"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one."
Just as the creature made it to the island and surfaced up from the water slightly, it was immediately hit in the head with an atomic bomb which immediately exploded on impact. A brief second later, a huge shock wave was created which knocked down the trees, and blew away the bushes on the island.
Thorax
The Philippines 1999
In the Philippines, an helicopter which is owned by Equinarch was seen flying over the mountains heading to a particular destination. Inside the helicopter were doctor Toshihiro Yasushi, and his wife Satomi Sora, they are two Japanese couples. Inside the helicopter, Toshihiro was seen looking down on a pocket watch while rubbing it with his thumb.
When Satomi noticed her husband's depression, she attempted to console him but however, she noticed people climbing ladders on her right. She must assume that they have arrived at their destination.
"Koko ni ita. (We're here.)" Satomi told her husband.
After hovering up in the air for a bit, the pilot of the helicopter has found an open area with no people around it, so, the pilot activated the landing gear and landed on the ground. Now, they are at the Universal mines where three people are standing in front of the front gates, as if they were expecting them.
Once the helicopter has landed on the ground, doctor Toshihiro and his wife Satomi both got off the helicopter. After that, they were immediately greeted by one of the Equinarch workers.
"Dr. Yasushi." The man said. Once Toshihiro made it to the boss, he shook hand with him "My name is Gregory Eli, thank you for coming here to assist me." He told him with a smile.
"My pleasure sir." Toshihiro said smiling back "What's the crisis?" He asked.
"Follow me, and I'm warning you, it's a complete mess." He told him. Then, Gregory began to lead Toshihiro to the damaged area.
"Equinarch sent me in this morning. I took a quick observation around but, I told them that we needed you." He told him.
While walking, Gregory began to disclose to the doctor about what had happened in the mines.
"The workers here told me that they picked up a radiation signal out here last month." He told him "They got very exhilarated, thinking they had discovered uranium ores. So, they started stacking up the machinery and then... well, the whole floor collapsed into a cavern below." He finished.
Once Gregory has lead Toshihiro and Satomi to the wreckage area, the Dr. walked forward a little and saw a large hole with destroyed walkways and bridges on the sides of it. The sight has scandalized Satomi.
"They told me that 50 miners went down with it." Gregory told him.
Doctor Toshihiro was scrutinizing the wreckage and the hole with a traumatized and bewildered mixed expression. He has never seen anything like this before. And no technology would have the ability to drill a hole that big.
"Nani ga dekitadeshou ka? (what could've done this?)" Toshihiro asked himself quietly. Then, he looked at Gregory "We must suit up and investigate." He said.
"Of course. The hazmat suits are just over there."
Inside of the cavern, Gregory, Toshihiro, and Satomi were all seen walking inside the large hole while shinning their flashlights around the area. At first they were expecting to see rocks but instead, they saw bones which was perplexing.
"This way." Gregory told them as he began to guide them.
"When they first discovered this pocket, the radiation levels were only half as strong." He disclosed "It's almost as if contact with the outside air started catalyzing something." He added.
However, as the three of them walked further into the cave, Toshihiro spotted something very odd. He shinned the light against the object and noticed a larg tall bone which looks to be like a rib covered in some kind of mucus.
"Looks like some kind of fossil." Said Gregory with an astonished expression. "I've been to lots of caves before, but I've never seen anything like this." He told them as he walked towards a panel. Once he got to it, he pressed onto a red button and lights illuminated around the cave.
Once all of the lights have turned on, Toshihiro and Satomi both noticed that these giant rib bones represents a torso of the creature. Satomi then let out a gasp due to her realizing what the bones represents.
"Oya ma. (Oh my goodness.)" Satomi said with a shocked expression. Then, she looked at her husband "Sore wa kanosei ga? (Could it be?)" She asked him.
Toshihiro scrutinized the bones for a brief second to see whether it really belongs to the creature that Japan had encountered years ago. A brief second later, he came to a conclusion.
"Ie, karede wa arimasen. (No, it isn't him.)" Toshihiro told her with a shake of his head "Kore wa kare yori zutto toshiue de okidesu. (This one is much more older and bigger than him.)" He finished.
"Hey guys." Gregory called them through their comm unit "Look what I found." He told them.
Toshihiro and Satomi were both walking on the bones of the creature as well as up and down in the cave to get to Gregory's location for two minutes now. Once they got to him, the couple have witnessed something very bizarre that Gregory began to take pictures of.
In front of them were large eggs on the ground of the cave. Satomi walked forward to get a better look at them. Once she did, she began to scrutinize it. A brief second later, she looked back at her husband.
"Kore wa tamagodesu. (This is an egg.)" She told him "Shikashi, sore wa don'na ikimonodesu ka? (But what creature is it?)" She asked with a perplexed expression behind her mask.
"Now these bones are fossilized but, this formation seems to be perfectly preserved." Gregory said.
Toshihiro shinned his flashlight to his right and saw that the other egg was cracked open with mucus falling out of it.
"This one looks broken." Toshihiro said.
Gregory walked up to the egg and began to scrutinize it.
"It looks like something just came out of it." He said "But what could it be?" He asked.
Toshihiro was going to investigate this egg but suddenly, the whirling noises of a helicopter stopped him, it also got Gregory and Satomis's attention too. The doctor walked forward to the source of the loud sound and noticed that there was a large hole on the top right of the cave.
Outside of the cave, the pilot of the Equinarch helicopter that Toshihiro and Satomi took was seen hovering his helicopter around a large dirt track with a few fallen trees.
The pilot of the helicopter then looked in front of him and saw that the tracks leads directly to the ocean.

Osaka, Japan 1999
In a small town in Japan country in east asia, a young boy was seen just waking up from bed after being awaken by his alarm clock. The child hen got off his bed and began to walk to the sliding doors of his bedroom while being careful on not to step on any of his toys otherwise, he could hurt his feet. But, before the child walked to the doors of his bedroom, he picked up a banner which says 'happy birthday daddy' on the floor. After that, he stood back up again and began to walk to the sliding doors of his bedroom. Once he got to it, he walked out of his bedroom and began to find his father.
After walking in the hallway for a brief second, the young child has made it to his father's work area after hearing his voice in there. Once he got to the sliding door, he peeked into the room and saw his father talking on the phone. He also saw a computer with an image of sound waves on the screen.
"No Makoto, just listen to me for a second." The father said "In asking for the meeting because, if I have to shut the reactor down, you're not gonna want to read it in a memo." He told him.
"I have been following these Earthquake similar events ever since they commenced in the Philippines." He told them "Now, they're in our own backyard." He finished.
When the young boy noticed his father turning around, he immediately stepped back and hid behind the sliding door so that his father couldn't see him. But then, he heard someone walking up to him on his right. He looked at his right and saw his mother coming up to him with her business suit on.
"Hello mommy, dad's awake." He told her.
"I know, he got up early due to this meeting he wants to organize." She told him.
"What should we do?"
The boy's mother let out a sigh and said "Get dressed. I'll figure it out."
"Okay."
Then, the boy turned around and returned to his room in order to get dressed for school.
Three minutes later, the American family of the house were all seen leaving their home with the young boy running out first in front of them while his mother was behind him. He also said goodbye to his mother.
"Goodbye dad." The young boy said as he began to run to the school bus, and his father waved back while still in the phone.
"With all due respect Makoto, with all that, I'm an engineer. I don't like unexplained frequency patterning near a plant where I'm responsible." He told him sternly "I need a plant, make it happen please." He said as kindly as he could.
After that, the call ended, and the man and his wife both got into the car with the husband sitting in the driver's seat while his wife was sitting next to him. The man was about to stick his car keys into the ignition but then, his wife stopped him by putting his worker ID on his business jacket.
"He made you a banner Carlos."
"What do you mean Sally?"
"Your birthday sign." She replied. "He worked so hard on it." She told him.
"My goodness." Carlos said looking in front of him at the school bus which his son was in. Then, he school bus began to drive away to send the kids to school.
"I'm gonna come home early." She told him "I'll take the car and pick him up, hen we can get a proper cake okay?" She asked him.
"Look honey." Carlos said with a sigh "I need to know that it's not the sensors okay?" He asked her with a serious expression.
"I can't be called this meeting and look like a psychopath." He said with a concerned expression "So when we get there, don't even bother coming up. Just grab a team and go down to Level five." He told her kindly.
"You're not a psychopath." She told him "I mean, you're, just not about this." She said as she and her husband both put on seatbelts and buckled in.
"Must be something we're not thinking of."
"Happy birthday." She told him in a contented tone.
Carlos looked at his wife in shock as he realized that today was his birthday.
"What? Is it?"
"Yes!"
"Oh, I forgot all about it, thank you so much honey."
Then, the couple boh embraced each other in a loving hug. After that, Sally planted a kiss on his lips.
"Happy birthday." Sally said with a smile.
"Thank you so much." Carlos thanked with a smile of his own.
After that, Carlos looked back in front of him and pulled the gear stick of his car to D. After that, he began to drive him and his wife to the nuclear power plant where they work in.
In one of the nuclear power plants in Osaka, Carlos was seen walking down in one of the hallways of the power plant with two workers one American and the other Japanese while holding three stapled pieces of papers in his hands.
"What is this?" The Japanese worker asked.
"Seismic anomaly." Carlos replied simply.
"This graph is minutes though." He told him. Then, he tapped on the X on the paper "X is minutes, not days. This is now." He said.
"Wait a minute, seismic activity?" The American worker asked in a perplexed tone "Are you relating to Earthquakes?" He asked.
"No, not Earthquakes, they are random." Carlos told him "This one is consistent, and increases drastically like a loud speaker at a party." He said which got him bewildered again.
"Although I haven't been to a party but, I am sure that speakers wouldn't even be that loud." The Japanese worker told him.
"I know but, this is a pattern." Carlos told him.
In a checkpoint in the lower level of the nuclear power plant, Sally and five japanese workers were all seen suiting up in hazmat suits due to them heading to a hallway where chemical gases are stored in the pipes.
"Alright, let's make this quick fellas." Sally told them. After that, she and her colleagues all wore gas masks.
Then, one of the workers pressed on a button on the panel and the doors were pulled open. After that, Sally and her fellow workers all entered the Level 5 hallway and began walking through it.
Control room
In the nuclear power plant's control room, Carlos and two of his colleagues entered the room and Carlos looked at Makoto.
"Makoto what the heck is going on? Have you seen this?" He asked as he walked up to the table and placed the sheets of paper on it which Makoto looked down at.
"Yeah I have." Makoto replied with a nod "But, a meeting would not be counselled right now." He told him.
Carlos then leaned down a bit and looked at a computer screen which shows a huge sound wave on it.
"What's the source?" He asked quietly "Where's the epicenter?" He asked again.
"We don't know yet." Makoto replied while scratching the back of his head "But, it keeps getting stronger and stronger." He told him with a worried expression.
"It's gotta be centered somewhere."
Carlos stood up and looked at one of his colleagues.
"Akihito." He called him.
"Sorry sir but, no one else is reporting it." He told him. "We are contacting every other plant in the Chubu region but, they said that they did not encounter any sounds or anything of sort including Chugoku and Hokkaido." He finished.
"But, my assumption is that these readings are just aftershocks from the Earthquake that occured in the Philippines." He told him.
"Are we at full function?" Carlos asked.
"Yes." Replied Akihito.
"Yes." Replied Makoto.
"But perhaps we should be drawing down in order to be safe."
However, Makoto has spoke too soon because, the whole control room began to shake violently like an Earthquake, but, the workers managed to maintain their balances.
"Turn everything off."
"But Carlos-"
"Do it now." He ordered.
Carlos then walked up to the two ways radio and pulled one out of it. Then, he began to communicated with his wife who is in the level 5 corridor. So, he turned the channel knob and began to call her.
"Sally." He called but, he did not get a response back "Sally can you hear me?" He called again.
But suddenly, the whole plant began to shake violently again and the control room's alarms began blaring red, indicating that something bad is happening.
In the level 5 corridor, Sally and her team were all seen scrutinizing the corridor after the unexpected Earthquake that has caught them all off guard completely. But, she decided to waste no time and get out of there.
"Come on guys, we're turning back." She told them.
Then, the five japanese workers turned around and began to run back to the checkpoint. A brief second later, a cloud of chemical gas was seen gushing towards Sally and the workers location which horrified her.
"Uh oh."
Then, Sally turned around and began to run to the checkpoint with her colleagues.
"Carlos are you there?" Sally asked tapping on her comm unit on the right side of her mask.
Control room
When Carlos heard the sound of his wife calling him through her comm unit, he grabbed the radio with his right hand and began to speak into it in order to communicate with his wife.
"Honey, there has been a breach." She told him while in breaths "Were heading back to the containment seal." She finished.
"Listen, you need to get out of there." He told her sternly "You won't last five minutes in there with or without your suits if there's a reactor breach." He warned her.
"I hear you, we're coming!" Sally said while running.
Suddenly, the whole plant began to shake violently again, this time, Carlos and his fellow workers all fell on the floor except for Makoto who managed to hold onto a cupboard in time. Once the shaking has stopped, Makoto stood up and saw many of his fellow colleagues evacuating the plant. Then, his friend Carlos walked up to him.
"Sokode jibun de aimasu. (I'll meet them there myself.)" He told him "Anzen doa o shudo de obaraido shimasu. (Put the safety doors on manual override.)" He ordered.
Carlos turned around and made his way to the doors of the control room, once he got to them, he pushed the doors open and began to run to the checkpoint where he will meet up with his wife and his fellow colleagues.
In the hallway, the alarms were beeping and flashing uncontrollably which made most of the area red. And Carlos was seen running to the checkpoint as fast as he could while rushing past many of his colleagues who were evacuating from the nuclear power plant as fast as they could.
Back in the level 5 corridor, Sally and her colleagues were still seen running through the corridor and away form the toxic gas. Sally looked behind her and saw that the gas was catching up to them very fast, if they were fast enough, they could suffocate in the corridor.
"Come on guys pick up the pace!"
Then, Sally and the five workers began to run faster to the containment seal. But suddenly, a pipe on their left burst loose which knocked one worker including Sally on the floor. But, the workers neglected to help their friends and continued to run to the doors of the hallway.
"Come on Yoshio, we have to go." She told him as she began to help him back up onto his feet.
At the checkpoint, Carlos has finally made it in the containment seal and was looking through the Level 5 corridor, waiting anxiously for his wife and his colleagues to arrive. He then tapped on the communication button on a panel on his left and began to communicate with Makoto.
"Tell me this door's on manual."
"Yes it is sir but, were starting to breach!" Makoto exclaimed in a fearful tone. "You have to close the door now or the whole city will be exposed!" He warned him.
"I'm right here." Carlos told him. "Soon as they're through, I'll seal the door." He finished.
After the transmission, Carlos looked through the corridor again and continued to wait anxiously for his wife.
"Come on Sally, where are you?" Carlos asked in fret.
Then, he began to pick up a call from his wife through his radio.
"Carlos, are you there?"
When Carlos heard his wife, he grabbed the radio and began to talk to his wife.
"Sweetie I'm here."
"Carlos." Sally said as she sighed "It's too late, we're not going to make it." She told him in a depressed tone.
"N-no, don't you say that honey, run as fast as you can." He told her with a concerned expression.
"Carlos, you have to close the door." She told him "You have to live for our son." She finished.
Suddenly, a banging noise was heard in the corridor. Carlos looked in front of him and saw a cloud of white gas gushing towards him. The sight has made his eyes widen in shock.
"Oh no."
"Carlos, you have to seal the doors now!" Makoto shouted through the comm "Ten... nine... eight... seven... six... five... four... three... two... one..."
"Ahhhhhhhh!" Carlos screamed as he pressed a red button on the panel. Then, the door closed shut and the chemical gas did not spread into the containment seal.
Carlos began to cry against a wall after he shut the door told by his wife. A brief second later he heard some banging noises. Carlos turned himself away from the wall and saw his colleagues banging against the window frame of it wanting to get out but, it was too late.
"I'm so sorry." Carlos said while sobbing.
Then, Sally pushed herself to the front of the crowd and looked at her husband through the window.
Carlos let out a gasp when he saw his poor wife on the other side of the door. Sally then took off her mask and looked at her husband with teary eyes and a disconsolate expression.
"Take care of Matthew. Be a good father." Sally said while crying. Then, the doors fully closed.
Outside of the nuclear power plant, the whole plant began to collapse and many workers were seen evacuating the power plant with no injuries. But, the collapse can still provoke a lot of damage.
In a school where Matthew is learning in, a teacher was showing student a documentary about animals and their ecosystem but suddenly, the TV automatically turned off and the whole school began to shake softly which made the teacher's eyes widen in horror.
"Sa, min'nade hinan shimashou. (Come on everyone let's evacuate.)" The teacher said.
Then all of the students in the class stood up from their seats and began to evacuate the classroom except for Matthew who looked out the window to see what's happening. And when he did, he saw the nuclear power plant that his parents work at is beginning to collapse! The sight has traumatized him completely.
"Mommy, daddy."
"Come on Matthew, we have to leave!" The teacher told him.
Matthew listened to his teacher and snapped out of it, then, he stood up from his seat. After that, he and his teacher began to make their way to the exit of the school to evacuate.

15 years later
On a beach in the United States, a military transport aircraft has landed perfectly on the large beach two minutes ago without injuring any citizens. The cargo door slowly dropped open and inside were a bunch of US military soldiers who have returned from their journey. One of them was Matthew Cade, he joined the US army three years ago. He used to be a ground soldier but now, he has been promoted as an EOD officer.
"Alright, get up everyone." The Major ordered.
All of the soldiers in the large plane obeyed their superior and got up from their seats as well as putting on their backpacks.
"Hey Matt, you have a family waiting for you?" His friend asked.
"Indeed I do Tommy." Matthew replied with a nod "I heard that they have prepared something wonderful for me too from the text message on my phone." He added.
"Why aren't you a luck one." Tommy commented with a chuckle, and Matthew chuckled back "How long have you been away from them?" He asked.
"Sixteen months." He replied.
"That's amazing but don't get pressured up." Tommy told him "It's the one thing they don't train you for." He reminded. After that, the began to leave the transport aircraft.
"Alright men let's go!" The Major ordered again.
San Francisco
Matthew has finally made it back to his hometown San Francisco after hitching a fourteen minutes ride in an Uber. Once he got back to his house, he was immediately greeted by his wife Melissa who embraced him in a loving hug as well as a kiss to the cheek. After that, Matthew's wife told him to close his eyes which he did, and she began to lead him to the dinning table. When they got to the table, Melissa sat her husband on the table, at this point, Matthew was growing a bit tired of waiting due to him being very desperate to know what surprise his wife and son have organized for him.
"Come on baby can I see it?" Matthew asked with a chuckle.
"I can't tell you." She told him with a giggle. "After all, it is a surprise." She added.
"Fair enough." Matthew said with a shrug.
A brief second later, Melissa placed something on the table and removed her hand from her husband's eyes.
When Matthew's noticed that his wife's hand was pulled away from his eyes, he opened his eyes and saw a cake on the table that read 'welcome home'.
"It's a welcome home cake honey."
"Oh wow." Matthew said with a shocked expression. Then, he looked up at his wife with a contented face "It's wonderful sweetie." He told him.
"Daddy look."
When Matthew heard his son, he looked to where he was standing and saw him pointing at a drawing that is stuck on the wall. But, what his son was really pointing at were the drawings of two stickman figures.
"This is you." Kyle said pointing at the tall stickman figure "And that is me." He finished pointing at the shorter stickman figure.
"What does it say Kyle?"
"Welcome home daddy." He replied with a smile.
"Daddy's home!" Matthew exclaimed happily "This means cake every night." He said with a smile.
"Yeah, that's not happening." Melissa said with a giggle.
"Daddy's home equals cake every night." He told them.
Melissa looked at her son for a moment and saw that he has a little bit of chocolate cake substance on his right cheek.
"Sweetie how did you get chocolate on your cheek?" Melissa asked as she wiped the substance off of his right cheek.
"Daddy did it." He replied.
The remark of the young boy has made both his parents chuckle.
It was late at night now and Matthew was seen trying to get his son to bed while he was wiggling around.
"Come on I can't sleep with you making all this house." Matthew told him.
"Hee-hee-hee." Kyle giggled.
"Alright Kyle, let's get you into bed." Matthew said as he got off the bed, and his son stopped wiggling around. After that, Matthew pulled the blanket on top of Kyle until it was covering his arms, legs, and torso. "Okay strong man, have a good sleep." Matthew said as he kissed his son on the forehead.
After that, Matthew stood up and turned around to face his son's bedroom door. Then, he walked up to it and placed his right hand on the light switch, preparing to turn the lights of his son's room off. But then, his son called him again.
"Dad?"
"Yeah?" Matthew asked turning around to look at his son.
"Will you still be here tomorrow?" Kyle asked with a pleading expression.
"Of course I will." He replied with a smile which made his son smile back. "Now come on, go to sleep." He told him in a soft tone.
After that, Kyle slowly closed his eyes and drifted into sleep.
When Matthew saw his son drifting to sleep, he switched off the lights and gently closed the door to his son's bedroom in order to not wake him up.
While Kyle was sound asleep, Matthew and his wife were in the living room drinking some water. During that, Matthew was showing his wife some of his soldier skills that he learned training he received in the US military academy. And each time he presented his moves, his wife was giggling at how cool he looks.
"Front march and stop." Matthew said doing some casual and quiet marches in the room which his wife giggled at.
Matthew then sat next to his laughing wife on the couch and began to adore her wonderful laughing sounds.
"Man I missed your laugh."
"And I missed you honey."
After that Matthew and Melissa both kissed each other in the lips. Things were starting to get wonderful for a moment but suddenly, the cellphone on the table began to ring which prompted Melissa to stand up from the couch and walk up to the table to pick up the phone. Then, she pressed the call button and placed the phone near her right ear.
"Hello?"
"Yes, this is Mrs Cade."
"Oh really?... Okay, can you hold on for a moment?" Melissa asked as she lowered the phone. Then, she turned around and faced her husband.
"What was that all about?"
"It's the consulate." She told him "Your father has been arrested by the police in Japan." She finished.
Matthew began to pack up his clothes, shoes and other essential things for his trip to Japan to bail his father out of jail. He flipped open cupboards which contained his clothes and many more but, he couldn't find one crucial thing.
"Melissa, where are my pants?" Matthew asked walking out of the room.
"They're in the other drawer." She told him.
When Matthew heard this, he turned around and walked back into the bedroom to find his pants.
"What do you think happened this time?" She asked with a perplexed expression.
"Ugh, must be another one of his preposterous theory about this creature that provoked these seismic waves fifteen years ago in Osaka." He replied with an irked expression as he picked up his pants drone his drawer.
"Whether you like it or not, he is your father." She said "He just needs your assistance right now." She told him.
"I know but, he just can't forget the past." He told her with a vexed expression. Matthew has just realized that he was getting angry with his wife so, he calmed himself down and looked at her with an apologetic expression "Look, I'm sorry. Every time I let him in close, he always tries to drag me back. And I can't. I can't put our family through that." He told her.
"Well, he is your family." Melissa told him with a stern expression.
Matthew then looked back down on his luggage and began to pack up his things again in a frustrated way due to his father's temerarious exertion again.
When Melissa noticed her husband's vexed expression, she walked up to him and embraced her in a comforting hug, and Matthew hugged his wife back. It's a good thing that the EOD officer has his wife by his side to battle his stress.
Tokyo 8:00am
It was early in the morning in Japan's capital Tokyo, the residents of the city were seen living their normal lives as usual.
However, in a police department in the large city, Matthew was seen seated in one of the chairs in the police department waiting for his father to come out of his cell after paying for his bail. A brief second later, he heard some angry noises coming from inside of the cells room. Matthew looked to his right and saw his father behind a caged window picking up his stuffs. And when Carlos saw his son, he let out a smile towards him, but, his son is not as happy as he is right now.
After the bail, Carlos lead Matthew to his apartment. He stuck the key in the keyhole of the door and twisted the door knob, opening it in the process. After that, Matthew walked into the apartment block and Carlos entered after. A brief moment later, Carlos closed the door behind him and turned on the lights which illuminated his apartment block.
What Matthew saw after was astonishing. Around him were newspaper articles that all delineated about the incident that had occured in the nuclear power plant that his parents worked at 15 years ago. He turned around and looked at his father with an incredulous expression.
"Uh... make yourself at home." Carlos said as he lowered his stuffs on the floor "Even if uh... Ph.D.'s don't get that much teaching in English as a second language." He finished.
Matthew looked at newspaper articles with titles reading 'nuclear incident', 'nuclear nightmare', 'Meltdown in nuclear power plant in Japan's etc. All of these newspapers contents represents the incident.
"How's the bomb business going son?" Carlos asked looking down on his studying desk near the window. "It must be a growth these days huh?" He assumed.
"The unit I work in is called 'explosive ordnance disposal.'" He said after reading a news article that read 'giant monster spotted in Japan'. "My work isn't dropping bomb, it's defusing them." He clarified.
Matthew was growing very concerned about all of these newspaper articles that his father collected and stuck onto his walls, it was like he was coming up with something that would lead to detrimental events. So, he decided to ask his father about his plans that he has in mind.
"Dad-"
"Hey, how's Melissa doing?" He asked with an eager expression to know. "And Kyle, oh my goodness my grandson. He must be what? Three? Three and a half?" He assumed but, he was incorrect which made Matthew roll his eyes.
"He's almost five." He corrected him. Then, he walked up to a wall to check his books "I thought you were done with this... echolocation?" Matthew asked with a perplexed expression as he grabbed a green book.
"Oh hey." Carlos said as he quickly walked up to him "Please don't if you do not mind. I have everything the way I like it." He told him as he grabbed the book back and put it back to it's original place.
"I'm just... I'm studying bioacoustics." He told him with a chuckle.
"Dad, what were you doing, going back there?" Matthew asked with a perplexed expression.
"This trespassing stuff was crap."
"You broke the law." Matthew said with a disappointed expression towards his father's impulsiveness.
"I was just trying to get back to our old house."
"In a quarantine zone!" Matthew exclaimed.
"Precisely." Carlos said "The new readings are exactly like they were in that day and I can prove it to you." He told him with an exhilarated expression. Then, he walk past him to grab a piece of paper on the wall.
"With a little luck, if I can get back to the house,. I can show you and the world that this was not caused by a natural disaster." Carlos said in an enthusiastic tone "This was-"
When Matthew heard this, he was aggravated. Why can't his father just put all of this behind and just move on? All of his theories that he is trying to prove to him are just deranged and warped. His previous exertion in infiltrating the quarantined city was extremely naive of him. Then, he decided to cut him off.
"Dad!" Matthew shouted with a stern expression.
Carlos immediately shut up after hearing his son shouting angrily at him. He then let out a sigh and slowly walked up to him. Once he got to him, he looked at him face to face with a desperate expression.
"Your mom's out there son." Carlos told him softly "To me, she'll always be there. Back then they evacuated us so hastily, and I wasn't even able to get back a picture of her." He finished.
Matthew sighed when he heard his father's statement. He does still miss his mom but, this needs to stop.
"This has to stop dad."
"You know I did everything I could."
"Let me take you home." Matthew offered "Then, we can live together as a family. I've got a little boy who is so desperate to see his grandfather. We can go tomorrow." He told him with a smile.
Carlos sighed softly when he heard this, he really wanted to solve this case but at the same time, he was very eager to come home with his son to meet up with his grandson. But, he still wants to continue to investigate this matter at hand.
"Let's get some sleep son." He told him with a smile.
The next day
The sun has risen up in Japan but, many people were still sound asleep in their homes and apartments except for kids and adolescents who needed to catch a bus, ride a bike, or walk to school.
In Carlos's apartment block, Matthew was seen sound asleep on his father's couch, today was the day where he brings his father back to his home in San Francisco where he can finally meet up with his son, therefore, everything will go back to normal and they will live a happy life together. Suddenly, the EOD officer was woken up by the sound of someone typing the computer.
Matthew groaned and slowly opened his eyes from the sound. After that, he got off the couch and began to follow the source of the noise behind his father's book shelf. A brief second later, Matthew saw his father researching on something on his computer.
Carlos then threw the pen down and took off his glasses. After that, he turned around to grab something but suddenly, he saw his son standing in front of him which startled him.
"Matthew." Carlos said with a nonplussed expression. But, he tried to act natural "Good morning." He told him with a smile.
"Dad, what are you doing?"
Carlos tried to come up with an excuse but, he had nothing in his mind. So, he let it a sigh and decided to disclose the truth to him.
"I want to go back there Matthew." Carlos told him as he stood up and wore his jacket.
When Matthew heard this, his eyes widened and wanted to object about this temerarious choice.
"No, you can't."
"One hour, in and out." Carlos said. "I have to go!" He told him sternly.
"I came back here, wasted six years staring through that barbed wire, thinking that it was a military mistake or some horrible design flaw that they were covering up." He said "One day, I met a guy who runs a cargo boat offshore. Everyday he goes right past the reactor site. So he places a couple frequency monitors on buoys for me. Two weeks ago, I check this thing like every other day for the kick. Two weeks ago, I'm urning my mind and oh my goodness... there it is." He finished.
"Whatever it is that's in there. Whatever it is they're guarding so carefully starting to produce some noises again." He reported. "I have to go back to our old house Matthew. I need my old disks, and I'm certain that they're still there. I need the data to be able to prove a baseline here that this isn't a fantasy, that I'm not what you think I am. I'm gonna find a truth and put an end to this, one way or another." He finished with a confident expression.
When Matthew heard this, he let out another sigh of disappointment. Why does his father so desperately want to return to that place? If he goes back again, he will get arrested by the Japanese police again.
"Why can't you just let it rest?"
"Because I sent her down there son." Carlos replied with a disconsolate expression "This wasn't just a reactor meltdown-"
"Look, I don't want to hear this, I just want to bring you back home." Matthew said.
"I know I know. But, you can't keep running away." He told him in a logical tone "Problems will keep coming after you." He said.
Matthew couldn't help but shake his head from his father's veracious statement. Even though that all of this was in the past but, problems will still come after you no matter where you go. A brief second later, Matthew looked up at his father with a confident expression.
"Alright dad, let's go to Osaka."
"Wonderful!" Carlos exclaimed with an exhilarated expression "Thank you so much my son." He said with a smile.
Osaka
In the Quarantined Osaka, Matthew and Carlos were seen riding a motorboat in the abandoned city with Matthew driving it, and his father sitting at the front, both of them were wearing hazmat suits and gas masks too. The deteriorated city was flooded with water that manholes couldn't even drain, and grasses and vines were seen on the streets too. There was a sign on a metal fence that read.
隔離地域 (quarantine zone)
After a ten minutes drive, Matthew and Carlos both got off the boat and began to traverse through the deteriorated city. There were no people in the city, all that was left were grasses, abandoned buildings, wrecked cars and houses etc.
While walking, Matthew and Carlos saw three dogs running past them which got Carlos very perplexed.
"What are they running from?" He asked. But, Matthew decided to focus on the main topic.
"Come on dad, its just two blocks away." He told him as he walked forward "We don't have all day." He added.
Carlos looked down on his digital electromagnetic radiation detector and saw what the number was 0.000 which means that there was no signs of radiation levels in the city.
"Dad." Matthew called him which made him put the device back into his pocket "We going or what?" He asked in a slightly hurried tone.
But suddenly, Carlos placed both hands on his mask and prepared to take it off which made his son's eyes widen in horror behind his mask.
"Whoa! Whoa! What are you doing?!"
But it was too late, Carlos has already took off his mask and surprisingly, nothing happened, his skin was okay and he was breathing normally.
"The air's clean son." Carlos told him "The radiation level should be at a hazardous level but, there's nothing to be petrified about." He finished.
Matthew decided to disregard the previous exertion and continue to head to their old home with his father following from behind. Hopefully they will be able to find some more evidence in there like what Carlos said there would be.
After another minute walk, Matthew and Carlos have both made it back to their old house which was now covered in vines and leaves a little bit. The two shined flashlights around the place and saw nothing but roaches and a caterpillar into some areas of the house.
Carlos then walked into another room which was his office room and headed towards his old work table. Once he got to it, he lifted a metal sheet up from the table and threw it on the floor. After that, he found the four chips that contained the details of the seismic waves.
"Oh thank goodness." He said with a relived sigh.
He then placed them in his pocket and was about to head out but suddenly, something else caught his attention. Carlos looked down next to the keyboard and saw a wrecked family photo. He grabbed the photo with his right hand and saw that it was a picture of him, his wife, and his son together as a family. The wonderful nostalgia has made Carlos shed some tears of happiness. He then looked up and saw that banner that read 'happy birthday dad' on the wall that his son made.
In another room, Matthew has found a plastic soldier toy that he played with when he was a young child.
"Hey Matthew." Carlos called.
Matthew turned around and saw his father standing in front of him with things in his pockets.
"I got what I need, let's head back." He told him.
Carlos has finally got what they needed to prove that his theory about a creature creating these seismic waves is not a joke or a fantasy. Now, he and his son can return to Tokyo so, Matthew and Carlos both began to head back to the motorboat.
At first, everything was going smoothly but suddenly, Japanese police helicopters were seen flying in the sky to see if there were any intruders infiltrating the deteriorated city. This has prompted the two of them to hide behind the sides of the cars to prevent being spotted by the police.
Once the helicopter was out of sight, Matthew and Carlos cautiously walked out of their hiding places and continued to head to the boat but suddenly, something has caught both their attentions.
Across the city was the nuclear power plant that Carlos and Sally used to work in. There were lights on at the place and it was almost as good as new like somebody rebuilt it. The helicopter was seen flying there as well.
"Did they rebuild the plant?" Matthew asked with a perplexed expression.
"I don't know." Carlos replied with a shrug "I've never seen-"
But, just as Carlos turned around, he saw a blue van with sirens on it stopping in front of him which made him sigh in annoyance.
Matthew also heard the sound of a car stopping behind him. He turned around and saw a blue Japanese police vans with four Japanese police officers from the Japanese police force's special assault team aiming their guns at them.
"Here we go again." Carlos said with an aggravated sigh.
After that, two Japanese officers grabbed Matthew and Carlos and placed them in the truck as well as cuffing their hands against a pole of the van. Then, a Japanese officer began to drive them to the nuclear power plant.

The Japanese special assault team officers have been driving the infiltrators to the rebuilt facility, while driving, Matthew had a concerned expression on his face. Will he and his father be arrested and get sent to jail? But, he pushed all of the negative thoughts out of his head and continued to remain equanimous.
After a six minutes drive, the Japanese special assault team officers have all made it to the facility. One Japanese police officers wearing a gas mask on his face pointed to the right with his arm which the driver obliged and urned to steering wheel to the right, driving past many personnels in hazmat suits in the process. A brief second later, the car stopped in front of a security barrier where one Japanese officer with an assault rifle on his back walked up to them.
"Koko ni wa nani ga arimasu ka? (What do we have here?)" The officer asked.
"Ken'eki zon ni shin'nyu shite iru no o mitsuketa dansei no hon'no ichibu.(Just some men we found infiltrating the Quarantine zone.)" The officer replied bitterly.
"E to, karera wa tashika ni sore o suru tame ni machigatta yoru o erabimashita. (Huh, they sure picked the wrong night to do that.)" The officer said with a chuckle.
Carlos looked behind him through the van's back door window frame for a moment and saw something very astonishing. In front of him was a giant blue coloured egg, it seemed to be glowing as well. A brief second later, the two officers drove him and his son further into the facility.
On the grounds of the facility, six Japanese workers were seen rushing towards the giant glowing egg with two metallic weapons cases. Once the workers got near the egg, they set the case on the floor and opened them. After that, they brought out stun rods for self defense in case if anything goes off.
"You guys have ten seconds until it shoots out it's EMP."
Suddenly, the egg began to glow quicker and quicker until it let out a small wave of EMP which shock the facility's electronics but thankfully, none of them shut down.
In the control room of the facility, there was a scientist examining the sound wave created by the unknown creature in the egg with a computer.
"Seven point two seconds and getting stronger." Reported the scientist, then, he turned around and looked at Dr. Toshihiro who was standing behind a railing "We're trending exponentially doctor." He told him as he began to move to another section.
Toshihiro has spent fifteen years in studying the giant egg that was found in this nuclear power plant. Not once in his life has he seen something like this. What could possibly be in that egg.
"My gosh, this is worse than we thought." Toshihiro said gripping onto the railing.
"Excuse me, Dr. Toshihiro?" An American worker called him.
Toshihiro turned around and looked at the worker.
"Two men were just arrested in the Quarantine zone." He reported.
"We have bigger problems here. Tell Dr. Satomi to take a look." The scientist ordered.
"She did sir, but she sent me up here." He told him "One of them said to me that he used to work here doctor." He added which surprised him.
On another level of the facility, doctor Toshihiro and his wife were seen making their way to the interrogation room of the facility. While walking, they can hear the heating quarrel occuring inside of that room. Once they reached the interrogation room, Toshihiro and Satomi looked through the window of the room and saw a man in a grey jacket being interrogated by one of their colleagues.
"You're not fooling anybody sir."
"I'm not trying to fool anybody!" Carlos exclaimed furiously "I'm just trying to prove that what happened here fifteen years ago was not caused by an Earthquake, typhoon or any other natural disasters. So please just stop." He pleaded.
The interrogator began to ask him another question but, Carlos immediately cut him off when he let out a vexed groan.
"Look, I'm tired of this conversation." He told him in a irked tone "I want to see my son. I want to know that he's alright." He demanded. Then, he looked at one of the Japanese security officers.
"This guy knows." Carlos said pointing at the security officer "Watashi no musuko wa dokodesu ka? (Where is my son?) He asked in Japanese. Then, he looked back at the man interrogating him.
"I want my son." Carlos demanded "And I want my bag and computer disks." He added as he slammed on the table gently and stood up.
"And most importantly, I want to talk to the person who is in charge." He said "Not you, or you." He finished pointing at his interrogator and the security officer. After that, he turned to his right and looked at the people staring at him behind the glass.
"Alright? You're all looking at me right now, like I'm in a fish tank, right?" He asked sarcastically "Fine. Because I know what happened here." He told them which caught Toshihiro and Satomi's attention.
"And you keep telling everybody that this place is a death zone, but it isn't." Carlos told them "You're all being dishonest. Because, truth here is that all of you are hiding something in here. I'm right aren't I." He asked looking at everyone. And the interrogator inside was flabbergasted by his correct assumptions.
"My wife died here!" He shouted furiously "Something killed my wife. And I have a right to know! I deserve answer and the truth!" He finished with an enraged expression.
When Toshihiro heard this, he looked down on the man's stuffs and saw that he indeed has three computer disks on him. Satomi looked down and saw that the disks dates way back fifteen years ago just like what he had said.
"Look honey, all of these disks were fifteen years ago." Satomi said with an astonished expression.
"I thought that all of the data from that day was lost." Toshihiro said with a bewildered expression.
Toshihiro was going to investigate the disks to see if the man was telling the truth but suddenly, the entire facility began shaking and the lights began to flicker on and off which startled everyone.
"You see? There it is again." Carlos told them "I'm not deranged. That was not an earthquake, it was an electromagnetic pulse. It shuts off all electronics from miles to miles, and it's back again. This is what provoked everything in the first place!" He exclaimed.
"Don't you all see that?!" Carlos asked furiously while looking through the window.
Suddenly, all of the lights around the facility were starting to turn off.
Back in the control room, scientists and workers in the room were seen trying to workout what is happening. The waves on the computer have suddenly skyrocketed up to the roof!
"Pulses are second apart." Said the scientist who talked to Toshihiro. Then, he began to run to the other side of the room "They're getting more powerful, it's affecting the power grid." He told them.
"Any radiation leakage?"
"Gama levels are still zero sir." A worker replied. "It consumed all three reactors dry." He added.
Dr. Toshihiro and his wife Satomi have both made it back to the control room and we're now looking at the giant glowing egg through the window. They noticed that it was glowing more rapidly now. Suddenly, fall bits of shells from the egg began to fall onto the ground which made the Japanese workers take some steps back in fear.
"It's done feeding." Said Toshihiro.
"What's this?" A worker asked snatching a piece of paper away in Satomi's hands. Then, he looked down at it, and what he saw traumatized him "It's the same pattern fifteen years ago. It's what caused the meltdown." He said with wide eyes.
"An electromagnetic pulse." Toshihiro said walking down to the front.
"That's what it's building to." Satomi's said walking down the stairs to the front as well "Converting all that radiation until it hatches." She told them.
"We have to shut down." Toshihiro said.
"Secure the grid!" The boss ordered "Wildfire protocols." He added.
Then, the scientist at the front grabbed a radio and began to alert all of the employees outside.
"All personnel, clear the first perimeter immediately!"
When the order was heard through the speakers, all of the Japanese workers on catwalk platforms began to run away from the giant egg to get black to the ground. One of the workers even pressed a red button which sounded the alarms. Then, the eggs was surrounded with electrical wires.
Back in the van where Matthew is still held in, the Japanese officer inside of the car was being given orders to through a radio. A brief second later, the officer unbuckled himself and got off the van.
"Hey! Where are you going? Hey!" Matthew called but, the officer was already off the van.
Matthew looked in front of him and saw wires covering the egg and a helicopter flying out of the hole. The sight has perplexed him completely.
Back in the control room, the scientist has received words that the grid has been secured. So, he turned around and faced Toshihiro.
"Grid's secured sir." He said.
Toshihiro looked at the egg again for a brief moment and saw that it was still flickering a bit. He wasn't just going to disregard this, he needed to step up the plate. He then let out a sigh.
"Kill it." He ordered which shocked his wife for a bit.
The scientist obeyed the doctor and pressed a button. After that, the wires surrounding the egg began to shoot electricity directly at it. While the electricity was zapping the egg, a loud screech can be heard coming from inside it. It even broke a part of the egg shell which fell on the ground and scattered the employees.
A brief moment later, the pulses on the computer have all died out.
"It's dead."
"Get a visual." The boss ordered.
Back on the ground, a Japanese worker was seen walking up the catwalk platforms stairs to get a clear visual of the egg to see whether it is truly dead or not. It wasn't glowing or producing any other EMPS at the moment which was the first good sign. Once the worker made it up on the catwalk, he walked to one of the cracked areas of the large egg. When he got to it,he turned on his flashlight and shined onto the egg, at first, he saw nothing but mucus and tiny shells but then, he saw something moving in the middle. He was going to take a closer look at it but suddenly, yellow claws and a blue coloured leg shot out of the egg which immediately murdered the worker.
Then, a large blue creature popped out of the egg with it's claws on the ground, his wings also popped out of the egg's sides. A brief second later, it lifted it's right leg up with it's claws glowing white and slammed it on the ground which resulted in releasing an electromagnetic pulse which knocked out all of the electricity in the area.
"My goodness. Check the grid!"
But it was too late, all power has been lost due to the EMP strike.
Back in the interrogation room, Carlos could hear the electromagnetic pulse sweeping through the area. A brief second later, the lights in the room shut off and the door which required a security code to open, swung open on its own.
Even Matthew heard the EMP in the van, he also witnessed all electricity being knocked out. Then, he heard a screeching noise.
"Activate the backup generator." The boss ordered.
A worker obeyed his boss and powered up the back up generator. Once he has pressed the buttons, the power was back on. Then, the workers and scientists inside of he control room saw a large blue coloured griffon which was 210 feet tall! The sight has traumatized them all completely.
"Everybody out! Now!" The boss exclaimed.
Then, everyone in the control room began to evacuate the room.
Back outside, the blue coloured griffon was seen trying his best to break free of his containment situation but, the electrical wires were holding it down.
Meanwhile on the catwalk, Carlos Cade was seen walking on the catwalk to see what was happening after he walked out of the interrogation room. And it was absolute chaos! Many workers were seen running away from something. Carlos turned to his right and saw a large blue coloured griffon trying trying to break free out of the hole.
In the van, Matthew also witnessed the entire event as well as the griffon. He turned around and emergency vehicles driving by him so, he tried to get their attention by banging on the van doors window frame.
"Hey! I'm over here!" He exclaimed but, they couldn't hear him.
Around 20-30 Japanese workers in emergency vehicles arrived in the scene with some carrying weapons cases. But then, they saw the creature slowly raising it's claw above the wires and gripping onto it. This has made the cranes holding the electrical wires collapse onto each other with one falling into the hole.
Back on the platform where Carlos is, the man has witnessed the entire ordeal. He looked behind him and saw a crane falling down into the catwalk that he is on. He looked back in front of him and tried to stop one of the Japanese workers evacuating.
"Wait! Wait! Wait!"
But it was too late, the Japanese worker ran past him and the crane collapsed into the platform which made two of the workers fall to the floor.
Back in the van, Matthew looked out the window and saw a crane falling down towards him so, he stepped back and prepared for the impact. A brief second later, the crane hit the van which made the car roll.
"Matthew!"
After a five seconds roll, the van lied down on its side, the impact also released the cuff that was locked on the pipe, now, Matthew was free, so, he stood up and walked out of the van that he was held in. He then looked in front of him and saw a worker trapped in the crane being dragged to the hole while he was banging on the window for help but, it was too late, the crane has fell down into the hole, bringing the worker down with him in the process.
The falling of the crane has pulled two wires straight which prompted the EOD officer to look behind him. And when he did, he saw his father on a catwalk platform above him.
Carlos looked at his son with a concerned expression on him, then, a brief second later, the catwalk collapsed.
"Dad!" Matthew screamed in terror.
He ran forward to see if he was okay but suddenly, a growling noise stopped him. Matthew turned around and saw something extremely unique, in front of him was a giant griffon that was 210 feet tall climbing out of the hole. Once the creature has climbed out, it began to move forward which made all of the workers scramble out of the area unfortunately, one of the worker was crushed to death by the foot of the creature, and a car was flipped onto its side.
When Matthew saw the creature crawling towards him, he scurried back into the van for shelter. He looked next to him and saw a gas mask so, he grabbed it and put it on his face. Even with the gas mask on, Matthew can still see the 210 feet griffon in front of him.
Once the creature has freed itself, it spread it's blue wings on both of it's sides, and took off into the skies.

San Francisco 9:30am
Back in San Francisco, Melissa Cade aka Matthew's wife was seen talking on the phone desperately trying to find a way to contact her husband after hearing that there has been a 6.3 Earthquake in Japan. The news has petrified her completely for her husband's safety.
"Yeah, my husband's name is Matthew Cage." She said "Japan to San Francisco." She added, but the person that Melissa is talking with kept saying negative things.
"Okay, could I at least... if you could let me leave you my cell-"
But it was too late, the person hung the phone and the communication was cut off. Then, Melissa threw the phone on the ground gently in frustration.
"Dang it!" Melissa said as she sat on the chair while rubbing her head.
She then looked to her left and saw her son standing in the kitchen while staring at her with a worried expression. Then, he took a deep breath and exhaled it.
"I'm sorry honey."
She then stood up from the chair and walked towards her son, once she got to him, she bent down and pulled him in for a hug in an attempt to calm him down.
"Daddy's going to be okay honey."
Osaka
Back in the facility in Japan, the facility was now in ruins after being devastated by the griffon's escape and EMP blast, many workers have lost their lives. Now, the US Navy, Japanese fire brigade, Ambulance services, and police force have been dispatched to the location to assist with casualties.
"This area is now under Naval military jurisdiction. All personnel must report to the duty officer for debriefing."
In the carnage site, Dr. Toshihiro was seen looking at the destroyed facility with a perplexed expression while Japanese emergency responders were picking up bodies placed in body bags out of the area, while the ones who barely survived were being taken to the ambulance.
"Hachimitsu. (Honey.)" Satomi called from behind. Once she got to her husband, she tapped his right arm, grabbing his attention in the process. But then, a US Navy officer walked up to the doctor.
"Greetings doctor, my name is Johnny Brand, US Navy captain." The soldier introduced himself "Glad to find you, I've been briefed on your work with the Equinarch organization. Now, I'm told that your organization has situational awareness of our unidentified creature? Is that right?" He asked him. And Toshihiro replied with a simple nod.
"We are now taking over operational authority from Equinarch." Johnny informed him "So, I'm gonna need you to come with me." He requested.
"Are there any other personnel that you need?" He asked.
Toshihiro looked at the body bags for a second then in front of him and saw the American Matthew Cade looking down at his wounded father who was lying on a stretcher with a concerned expression while two paramedics were seen trying to get him into the ambulance.
"They'll take care of you dad, you're gonna be okay." Matthew told him "I'll be right next to you." He finished.
But Carlos couldn't reply to his son back due to his severe injuries from the fall, he also has a head immobilizer on him too.
Doctor Toshihiro looked back at Johnny and pointed at the man and said "I would like to bring them with me."
Once Johnny had sent Matthew, Carlos, Toshihiro, and Satomi in the helicopter with two medics, the helicopter took off and flew out of the facility.
The helicopter was seen flying over the deteriorated Osaka and was currently flying towards an aircraft carrier where they will drop off the four of them. During the flight, the two medics were seen trying to stabilize Carlos's condition while his son was trying his best to comfort him.
"Let's get his vitals." Said one of the medics.
"It's going to be okay dad, you'll make it through this." Matthew encouraged him.
Toshihiro was looking at Matthew with a shameful expression on him due to Matthew's stressful moment caused by the previous event last night.
Matthew then took off his father's breathing mask and said "You're right, I should've listened to you. I'm sorry."
Carlos slowly averted his eyes to where his son is and looked at him with a desperate expression.
"Go home to your family Matthew." He told him in a soft voice due to his injuries "Take care of your son." He finished.
"I will dad, I promise." Matthew told him with a confident expression "Whatever it takes." He added.
Carlos couldn't help but let out a weak smile from his son's loyal remark, he sure was the greatest son that he has ever raised! However, his visions were starting to blur, he was beginning to succumb to his injuries.
"Goodbye my son......."
When Matthew noticed this, he had a concerned expression on him.
"Dad no, stay with me."
But it was too late, Carlos slowly closed his eyes and stopped breathing. One of the medic's placed his fingers on his carotid pulse on his neck and didn't feel a pump. He must be dead.
"He's gone." The medic said with a sigh as he removed his fingers from his neck.
When Matthew heard this, he placed both of his hands on his head in a stressful and disconsolate way. If only he believed his father in the first place, everything would've been okay to him, he would've been alive.
Satomi couldn't help but feel sympathetic towards Matthew for loosing his father. Things like this hurts her heart very much.
After a ten minutes flight from Osaka, the helicopter has finally returned to an aircraft carrier from the US Navy in the coast of Japan. It hovered on the platform for a brief moment, then descending on it with it's landing gear activated.
In the aircraft carrier control room, around fifteen US Navy officers were seen in the room analyzing the large Griffon that had escaped from the facility in Osaka that could possibly pose a threat to humanity due to its unpredictable behaviour. If it finds its way to a city then, sheer panic and disorder would ensue. However, a new channel from the US claimed that this disaster that hit Japan was an Earthquake.
"This is our needle in a haystack folks." Said the US Navy Admiral Joseph Ace told them. "According to the book that Dr. Toshihiro gave me, this Griffon's name is Gallus, a massive unidentified terrestrial organism. It is, however, no longer terrestrial. It is airborne." He told them.
"The world keeps thinking that this is an Earthquake or whatever, and it would be preferable that it remains so, in order to prevent panic from occuring." The Admiral told them.
"Before we lost sight, it was headed east towards the Pacific, and had emitted enough EMP disruption to create havoc with out radar and satellite feed. And reduce us, for the moment, to a strictly visual pursuit." The Admiral told them "In order to find this thing, we must track it's every movement. It is that we do so." He finished.
After his speech, the Admiral looked at the captain Johnny and began to give him an order.
"Captain, I want any and all search options on this table ASAP." He ordered.
"Yes sir." The captain said, after that, he turned to his left and walked past Dr.Toshihiro and out of the control room.
Then, the Admiral Joseph walked up to the doctor.
"Dr. Toshihiro." Joseph called him "I am Joseph Ace, Admiral of the US Navy." He introduced himself as he offered a hand out to shake.
When Toshihiro noticed this, he pulled up his jacket's right area to make it easier for him to shake. A brief moment later, he shook the Admiral's hand.
"Glad to have you on board."
"Hachimitsu? (Honey?)"
When Toshihiro heard his wife calling his, he removed his hand from the Admiral's and looked to one of the doors in front of him and saw his wife Satomi standing there by the door.
"Kotchi kite kureru? (Can you come here?)"
Toshihiro nodded to his wife and walked past the Admiral. After that, he began to make his way towards his wife in a quick manner. Once he got to him, Satomi told him something about Matthew Cade. A brief second later, Toshihiro let out a nod and Satomi began to lead him to where Matthew was.
In the lower levels of the aircraft carrier, Matthew was seen staring at the lifeless body of his father as he was placed and zipped in a body bag by a marine soldier, during the process, Matthew has been grieving for himself and his father from the inside. A brief second later, his depressing moment has came to a conclusion when someone knocked on the door of the room.
"Lieutenant Matthew?" The soldier called, but Matthew did not respond "Dr. Toshihiro and his wife Satomi wants to talk to you." He told him.
When Matthew heard this, he turned around and faced the marine officer with a perplexed expression.
"Why?" He asked, but the officer shrugged in response. So, Matthew decided to follow the marine officer.
After a one minute walk, the marine soldier has led Matthew to one of the debriefing rooms of the aircraft carrier where Dr. Toshihiro and Satomi were seen inside of the room, Toshihiro was seen flipping a book, while Satomi was seen researching about something on the computer.
"Dr. Toshihiro." The officer called, and that made the Dr and his wife turn around and look to the door where the officer is. A brief second later, they saw Matthew coming up from behind.
"My condolences lieutenant Cade." Toshihiro said walking up to Matthew along with his wife.
"We're deeply sorry for your loss lieutenant Matthew." Satomi said with a sympathetic expression "But I'm afraid we need your help." She requested.
"What help?"
A projector was plugged inside of the room so that Toshihiro and Satomi's could present some new information to Matthew more clearly and in a more feasible way. And when one of the marine officers inside of the room turned it on, an image was shined against the wall revealing a video of a nuclear submarine.
"This is a US submarine from the nineteen forty's." Toshihiro told him "In 1954, the first time a nuclear submarine ever reached the lower depths was going to be a huge success but however, it awakened something." He added.
"The Americans thought that it was the Russians, and the Russians thought that it was them who caused this." Satomi told him. "All of those nuclear bombs tested in the 50's." She finished.
Then, the projector showed videos of the nuclear bombs tests that were conducted in the 1950's obliterating islands and many more which shocked Matthew a little.
"However, they were turning to kill it." Toshihiro told him which made Matthew bewildered.
"Who's it?"
Then, a brief second later, the projector showed an image of a large green coloured creature with orange deer horns, a green unicorn looking horn, green ears, sharp teeth, diamonds on it's long neck, and purple eyes surfacing up from the ocean. The image has astonished Matthew that he leaned forward to get a closer look.
"Him." Toshihiro replied pointing at the creature in the image.
"An ancient alpha predator, millions of years older than mankind." Toshihiro said.
"It was from an age when the Earth was ten times more radioactive than today." Satomi told him. "This animal and others like it consumed this radiation as a food source. As the levels on the surface naturally subsided, these creatures adapted to live deeper in the oceans, further underground. Absorbing radiation from the Earth's core. The organization we work for Equinarch, was established in the wake of his discovery. A multinational coalition formed in secrecy to search for him. Study him, and learn everything that we can." She finished.
"According to this book that talks about ancient creatures that roamed Earth millions of years ago." Toshihiro said pointing at the large book in his right hand which Matthew noticed "This behemoth is called Thorax, and he is a changeling according to the book." He told him.
Matthew was bewildered by this, this creature roamed Earth millions of years ago? What was it's intention? In addition to that, not once in his life has he heard of a creature called a 'changeling'.
"The top of a primordial ecosystem." Satomi added. "A guardian, for all intents and purposes." She finished.
"A monster." Matthew said with a shocked expression.
"Fifteen years ago, we found a fossil of another giant animal in the Philippines." Toshihiro said. "It was like Thorax but, this creature died long ago. Killed by these." He finished pointing at the image.
Then, the projector displayed an image of the giant eggs that were found in a cave.
"Griffon eggs." Satomi delineated "One dormant, but the other hatched. Catalyzed when a mining company unknowingly drilled into its tomb. The hatchling burrowed straight for the nearest source of radiation. Your father's power plant in Osaka." She told him as the projector displayed an image of Japan as well as the line to display the path the creature took to get to the country.
"It cocooned there for 15 years, absorbing it's radioactive fuel, to gestate, to grow." Satomi finished.
"Until it hatches like a bird into the giant griffon you saw today." Toshihiro said.
"Wait a minute, you all knew about this?" Matthew asked with a bewildered expression "This thing? The whole time? Why didn't you try to exterminate it when you have he chance?" He asked again.
"Because we fear that killing it would trigger a release of the radiation it absorbed in the reactors which could endanger millions." She told him in a logical tone which made Matthew sigh.
"That's why our mission was to contain it. To study it's biology, to understand it."
"We knew that the creature was having an electrical effect on everything within a close proximity." Satomi told him "What we didn't know is that it could harness this same power in an EMP attack. But your father did, he predicted the ability of the creature." She finished in a slightly astonished tone.
Matthew was beyond astonished by this griffon, how can an ancient creature like that knock out electronics like that with it's EMP abilities? He should've listened to his father like a good son.
"What else did he say?" Satomi asked with a desperate expression "Please try to remember Mr. Cade." She pleaded.
Unfortunately, Matthew had nothing to present due to him not listening to his father's crazy theories about the creature that shook one of Osaka's power plant facility fifteen years ago.
"I didn't listen. I thought he was crazy. He was obsessed with all of this." Matthew replied with a sigh, however, he does remember something else that his father said "However, he did say something about an animal call. Something talking. He said that he was studying something. Echolocation." He added.
Toshihiro and Satomi were beyond traumatized by Matthew's reply about the echolocation of the griffon, as well as it's conversation with something else. This must only mean one thing.
"Your father must have discovered something talking back." Toshihiro said with an astonished expression. A brief second later, he looked at his wife "Check again." He told her.
"Yes." Satomi said as she got up from her seat.
"Search for a response." Toshihiro added.
"This griffon, it's still out there though." Matthew said "Where is it headed?" He asked.
"This griffon named Gallus is young, growing." Toshihiro said, then, he turned around and looked at Matthew with a concerned expression "It will be looking for food." He told him which made Matthew's eyes widen in horror.
"Sources of radiation." Satomi corrected. "We're monitoring all known sites but, if we don't find it soon." She said as she chewed her lips.
"Then what?" Matthew asked.
"Nature has an order Matthew." Toshihiro told him "A power to restore balance, and I believe he is that power." He said pointing at the image of Thorax.
Five minutes after the meeting, Matthew was given a mission to head to Florida where he will hitch a commercial flight from Miami airport back to San Francisco. Now, Matthew was seen walking towards a helicopter on the flight deck while being guided.
"Sir right now we're sixty miles from Florida." A crewman told him "This helicopter will take you there." He finished.
Matthew nodded and took off his ear muffs. After that, he handed it to the crewman and he held it. Then, the EOD officer got on the helicopter and sat in it.
"You're catching a commercial flight back to San Francisco." He informed him, and Matthew nodded in response. After that, the crewman closed the helicopter's sliding door and the helicopter took off into the air and began to head to Miami.
Forty minutes during the flight, it was already getting dark and Matthew was closing in on his destination Miami International Airport in Florida. While in the helicopter, Matthew was desperately trying to contact his wife and alarm her about the danger that he was been disclosed to. But, his wife did not pick up at all, she was busy helping her son brush his teeth. So, he decided to send her a voice message.
"Melissa, I don't know what they're saying in the news but, there was an accident in Japan, my dad got killed." Matthew said in a disconsolate tone "I'll explain when I see you. I'm heading to Florida to catch a flight from there. I'll see you soon." He finished.

Back in the aircraft carrier's control room, doctor Toshihiro was seen doing some studies on the sound patterns of the Griffons that it transmitted, thanks to the data chips from Matthew's father Carlos Cage, he was able to access the whole of the sound wave pattern.
"Sukuroru shi tsudzukemasu. (Keep scrolling.)" Satomi said "EMP no mae no owari chikaku. (Near the end before the EMP.)" She instructed which made Toshihiro chuckle slightly. But, he continued to focus.
A brief second later, two different sound wave patterns were displayed on the computer screen which immediately caught their attention.
"Solo. (There.)" Toshihiro said pointing at the screen monitor "Nanika ga garusu ni henji o shita. (Something responded back to Gallus.)" He told her.
"Shikashi, sore wa nanideshou ka? (But what could it be?)" Toshihiro asked with a perplexed expression.
Miami, Florida 9:58pm
In the Miami International Airport in Florida, many people were seen walking through terminals and sitting on seats in the extremely busy airport awaiting for their flights. However, in one particular area of the airport, the EOD officer Matthew Cage was seen hitching a ride in the airport's people mover so that he can get to his flight in a terminal on the other side of the airport.
Once the people mover's doors slid open, Matthew and other passengers stepped into the transport and took some seats while others decided to stand. While sitting, Matthew was seen placing his hands on his hands in a stressful way due to him being extremely concerned for his wife and son's safety with this griffon named 'Gallus' still roaming free.
'Welcome on board. The train will begin to move shortly. For the comfort of others, no smoking, please. Thank you. Enjoy the ride.' Said a computer.
After the announcement, Matthew took out his toy plastic soldier that he had when he was a child and began to look down on it.
'Please remember to stand clear of the automatic doors.'
After the computer had said that, the train doors began to slide close. Suddenly, a child began to yell.
"Mommy!"
Matthew looked forward to the source of the yell and saw a little boy banging on the train doors with his parents on the other side banging on the doors windows in a desperate attempt to try and get them open but, to no avail due to the transport being automatically controlled.
Matthew then stood up from his seat and ran to the train doors. Once he got to them, he tried to pull them open but, it was no use, the doors were already shut. Then, the train began to move.
"Hey! Hey! I'll bring him back, just stay there!" Matthew exclaimed.
The young boy ran to the back of the train carriage and tried to reach for his parents while screaming for them, but, he was stopped when Matthew came up to him and grabbed him by the torso.
"Whoa easy there kid." Matthew said softly. After that, he walked back and sat the child on one of he seats "It's going to be okay kid, I'll get you back to your parents, I promise." He told him with a smile.
Then, Matthew pulled out his soldier action figure from his pocket and offered it to the child.
"Here, is this what you want?" He asked, and the child slowly grabbed it with his left hand "Take good care of him for me." He told him with a smile.
After that, he stood up and took a seat next to the child to corroborate that he feels safe.
Back in the aircraft carrier, the captain Johnny Brand was seen talking to the Admiral about the movement of the large Griffon named Gallus.
"Admiral, I received Intel report. We lost track of a Russian nuclear submarine in a natural forest southeast of Miami." Johnny reported. "Could be the Griffon's doing." He told him.
When Toshihiro heard this, he stood up from his seat and turned around to face the Admiral Joseph Ace.
"We just got words of a missing Russian sub in the Pacific doctor." Joseph told him. After that, he turned around to face one of the officers "Nova." He called her.
"Our marines are picking up a distress signal sir." Nova reported "Northeast of a forest in Miami. They're on ground, heading to the beacon." She told him.
On the screen monitors, US marine soldiers wearing vests, helmets, and gas masks were seen searching through the forest with assault rifles equipped on them in search for the Russian nuclear submarine that was suspected to be here.
In the forest where the ten marines are, the marine soldiers were seen aiming their assault rifles left and right in search of the nuclear submarine while also being cautious of their surroundings on what could pop up in a forest like this.
"Can someone tell me why we're looking for a submarine in the forest?" One soldier asked.
"Russians said that they got a ping from this location." The soldier next to him replied.
"Hey I got reading up ahead."
Then, a large light was shined onto the forest. Above in the sky were two helicopter providing air support for the marine soldiers on the ground making it more feasible for them to do their work in searching for the missing submarine.
"Guys, we're getting the same ping off the transponder." The pilot of one of the helicopter told them "Range, 20 meters." He told them.
"Looks like you're getting warm." A marine soldier said sarcastically.
After walking through the forest for another brief second, the ten marine soldiers have all spotted something that has made them all stop in their tracks.
"What in the world?"
One of the marine soldiers walked up to the mucus covered object and stopped in front of one of the parts. After that, he placed his left hand on it and wiped the mucus off of the metal object and saw a nuclear symbol afterwards. The readings we're getting stronger too.
"Holy crap." The marine said. The soldier then looked above him and saw what looks to be like a submarine propeller covered in mucus.
"Oh my goodness."
One of the helicopters in he air shined onto the metal object so that the marine soldiers could see more clearly of what the object is. And when the lights shined onto it, the marines have found the nuclear submarine.
"Okay, located the Russian sub alpha."
However, one of the helicopters spotted something moving behind the nuclear submarine, it shined the lights on the moving thing and noticed that it was the Griffon named Gallus that had escaped from Osaka! It was seen eating a bomb too. A brief second later, it swallowed it.
"You're not gonna believe what else we found." The pilot told him.
"It appears to be riding approximately 20 to 30 meters above the tree line."
Back in the aircraft carrier, the crews in the control room can see the creature through the screen monitors, now, many marine officers were seen rushing everywhere. Then, Joseph turned around and faced the doctor.
"Cats out of the bag doctor." He told him "No more secrets. Our highest priority now is safety." He said sternly.
"There are millions of people living in Florida." He added. After that, he walked to the captain and began to give him orders, but, the captain had something else to say.
"We're picking up something else approaching from the Pacific sir."
When Toshihiro heard this, his eyes widened. Could it be him? So, he decided to go and investigate, he turned around and walked to the aircraft carrier's control room door. Once he got to it, he pushed it open and began to walk to the flight deck of the aircraft carrier with his wife following him from behind.
"Doko ni iku no? (Where are you going honey?)" Satomi asked trying to catch up.
"Furaitodekki made. (Up to the flight deck.)" He replied simply "Kare ga kuru to omoimasu. (I think he's coming.)" He told her.
"Kimi wa do suru? (What are you gonna do?)" Satomi asked as she stopped in her tracks.
"Watashi wa kore o minakereba narimasen. (I must see this.)" He told her as he began to pick up the pace.
Up on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier, two fighter jets were seen already being dispatched to the location of where the griffon is.
Back in Miami, four police helicopters were seen flying towards one of the beach hotels in the beautiful city which caught many of the hotel guests and staffs attentions. Once the helicopters were on different roofs of the hotel, SWAT officers all slid down the rope to the floor. After that, they all turned around and aimed their assault rifles to the forest kilometers ahead of them where the large Griffon is spotted.
Back in the Miami International Airport, Matthew was still seen riding the people mover in order to reunite the little boy with his parents. At first, it was quiet in the train but suddenly, some loud noises interrupted the silent moment. Matthew and the little boy looked out the window of the carriage and saw two fighter jets zooming by which astonished the little boy as well as the other passengers inside of the train.
"Whoa." The boy said kneeling on his seat.
"Alpha, we're circling the target." The pilot of one of the fighter jets informed "Go in your command." He told them. A brief second later, the pilot saw the creature in front of him.
"Stand by, got a visual. Bogey at my twelve." The pilot told him.
However, when the fighter jets all flew by the griffon, it got startled by the noise of the technologies which made it roar a little, the jets also disturbed it's eating process. A brief second later, Gallus dropped one of the bombs in his right claw on the floor which made some soldiers jump out of the way.
"Be advised. Prepare to engage target."
When the fighter jets pilots heard the order, they all placed their thumbs on the red button if the joystick preparing to fire missiles at he giant griffon. However, the marine soldiers on the ground noticed the griffon moving it's right leg up.
"Hold on we got movement down here."
Once Gallus lifted his right leg up a couple of feet up in the air, his claws began to glow white in colour. A brief second later, he slammed his leg on the ground and a wave of EMP was fired out of it's claws, shutting down electronics miles away. The impact also sent the ten marine soldiers flying to different areas.
"Control, I have no power!" The fighter jet pilot exclaimed with a perturbed expression "Repeat, I've lost all-"
The pilot wasn't able to finish his sentence when the fighter jet crashed onto the ground, exploding in the process which resulted in creating a forest fire. The sound can be heard from a mile away too.
Back in the Miami International Airport, Matthew was still seen taking a ride in the people mover with the little boy sitting right next to him. But suddenly, all electricity in the airport including the people mover have shut down which made all of the passengers panic slightly due to the train suddenly stopping.
"Hey don't worry kid." Matthew said calming the child down "In just ten seconds, the lights will come back on." He told him in an assuring tone.
In a beach hotel in Miami, the guests of the hotel were seen looking up at a hill where the explosion was heard, and when they did, they notice that there was a fire in a forest kilometers away from them.
"What was that?"
"Oh my goodness, there's a fire there."
However, a little girl suddenly felt a slight breeze coming from behind, so, she turned around, walked past her mommy and made her way to the ocean. Once she got there, see noticed the ocean currents pulling back for some unknown reason.
"Linda!" The little girl's father exclaimed as he ran up to her."What are you doing going to the ocean?" He asked with a perplexed expression.
"Look daddy, the ocean is coming."
The father was bewildered by his daughter's reply so, he looked out to the ocean. And when he did, he noticed the ocean currents were feeling back which made his eyes widen in horror. This can only mean one thing.
"Everyone run!" He shouted as he turned around "There's a tsunami coming!" He told them.
When the guests of the hotel heard this, they all erupted into panic and began to run away from the sea and began to head to the city to find shelter before they get caught by the huge tidal waves. The alarms began to sound as well.
Back on the aircraft carrier, two helicopters were seen hovering up from the aircraft carrier's flight deck and was being dispatched to Miami to fight off the griffon and protect the citizens in the city. However, one of the pilot's spotted something offshore.
"Target spotted offshore two knots due south of your position. Could be a second bogey." One of the helicopter pilot's warned.
When Toshihiro heard this, he walked forward slightly to the south of the aircraft carrier to see whether the predator spotted in Japan years ago was here. He decided to get a better look with his binoculars so, he brought them out of his pockets and looked through it. After that, he looked up and saw one of the helicopters shining on an object. The doctor then looked down at where the helicopter was shinning it's light on and saw what looks to be light two orange deer horns, and a green unicorn horn heading straight for the aircraft carrier that he is on, it was coming in fast too.
Toshihiro brought down the binoculars due to the creature getting closer and closer to the aircraft carrier which made his eyes widen in terror. At first, he and the crews on board expected it to hit the large ship but instead, it swam down and went under it. The pilot of the helicopter continued to shine the light on the creature and saw that it has swam under the aircraft carrier.
Toshihiro and the crews on the flight deck all turned around and ran to the eastside of the aircraft carrier to find where the creature is. When they did, they all saw the creature surfacing up from the ocean which caused some ships to be pushed away due to the currents pushing them.
In another beach in Miami, a dog was seen barking directly at the incoming tidal waves, it's leash was tied onto a tree as well. However, the dog lost its bravery when the tidal waves began to gush towards him in a hasty speed. That resulted in the dog breaking free of it's leash and running away from the tidal wave. The dog was running so fast that it caught up to the people who were also seen running away from the assumed tsunami in town while panicking. People climbed over cars and began to push each other forward for their own safety. But, the tidal waves were too fast.
Luckily, a father managed to bring himself, his wife, and daughter into a cafe and shelter them in it as the wave hit the crowd of people running away. The pond of ocean water has knocked out the electricity in hotels and apartments in the process.
On an apartment, a crowd of people were seen making their way up to the roof of the apartment, once they got to it, the ran to the ledge and looked down on the streets, all to see a bunch of cars being swept away by the ocean currents, trees being knocked down and lights urning off. Suddenly, all of the lights in the city were shut down.
On another apartment roof top, four SWAT officers were seen firing flares up into the sky in order to illuminate the area a little. The flares flew up in the air for a brief moment, the came flying to the ground. Once they got near to the apartment roof where the crowd was sheltering on, the people saw what looks to be like a bright green coloured leg in front of them which perplexed them all. Suddenly, gunshots were fired which startled the people.
*BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!*
The SWAT officers on the roof were firing bullets at the large creature's leg and torso but, it wasn't even fazed due to its fur and thick body scales. A brief second later, all of the officers ceased fire as the creature walked away from them with it's insect wing looking mane smashing into an apartment.
Back in the Miami International Airport, the lights around the airport were all seen turning back on including the people mover, and when the electricity returned everyone let out a relieved sigh. The city also has it's electricity back.
"See? What did I tell you?" Matthew told the child with a smile.
Then, the lights on the people mover track began to turn on due to the electricity returning. The child looked to the tracks to see how much more further until the next stop but suddenly, when the lights reached the middle of the track, a giant griffon was seen standing on the middle of the tracks! To Matthew, it was the Griffon Gallus, but to the passengers, it was a giant monster. Then, the train began to head straight towards the griffon which made the passengers panic.
Then, attack helicopters were seen flying in the airport opening fire onto the large Griffon which made everyone in the train duck down for cover.
Once the train got near Gallus, he bent down and opened his beak directly at the front window of it and roared at it.
"Get back!" Matthew exclaimed as he grabbed the child and started to run back to the carriage. But it was too late, Gallus had already broke both the train track and the front of the train.
After the impact, the passengers were seen sliding out of the train carriage and falling onto the floor. But, Matthew was able to prevent himself from falling out of the train by grabbing onto the seat of the train while some others unfortunately fell out of it. A brief second later, Matthew heard some screaming noises, he looked up and saw the little boy sliding down.
"Ahhhhhhhh!" Screamed the child.
Matthew reached quickly and grabbed the child with his right arm.
On the ground in the airport, airport workers were seen all running away from the large Griffon invading the airport, one was even hiding under an airplane, suddenly, water gushed towards his legs, drenching them in the process.
By this time, the two attack helicopter returned and began to deliver their second attack.
"Target in sight, 200 meters."
"Preparing to engage."
Then, the pilot began to fire bullets at the griffon but suddenly, a large purple object bumped into them which startled them. However, the pilots of one of the helicopter lost their focus on the creature and crashed into its right wing. That resulted in making the giant chopper spinning out of control and crashing on the ground, exploding in the process, it also caused a chain reaction too.
In the airport terminal, many passengers were seen panicking from the sight of the exploding airplanes in the airport provoked by the crash of one of the attack helicopters. Then, a brief moment later, the people inside of the terminal saw a large green hoof stomping on the ground in front of them through the large window.
When Gallus heard the noise, he turned to his right and growled at the tall green creature that is in front of him. The creature is none other than Thorax the changeling!
Thorax glared at the creature for a second until he roared at it in anger.
San Francisco, Matthew's house
In Matthew's house, Matthew's son Kyle was seen sleeping on the couch after a wonderful dinner. Suddenly, the sound of the news broadcasting on his, his mom's, and dad's TV woke him up. Kyle opened his eyes and stood up straight so that he could watch what's on the television, and when he did, he saw what looks to be like a giant green insect, and a giant blue animal fighting against each other in the Miami International Airport. The title even read 'Chaos in Miami'.
"Come on Kyle it's time to go to bed." Melissa said heading towards his room.
"Mommy look, it's a giant bug."
When Melissa heard this, she turned around and looked at the TV. When she did, she saw what looks to be like two gigantic creatures fighting each other in the Miami International Airport, the sight has scandalized her.
A brief second later, the large griffon flew away, and the large green bug began to chase it by swimming in the water.
"Oh gosh." Melissa mumbled with a traumatized expression.
Miami 8:30am
Miami was devastated after the chaos that had occured last night when the griffon Gallus, and the changeling Thorax battled against each other in the city, buildings were wrecked, trees were toppled, and debris was everywhere. Therefore, the US military medics and ground troops were dispatched to the city to treat wounded civilians in medical camp.
"Attention please, more incoming patients." A man said through a speaker.
On the other side of the camp, Matthew was seen walking down the camp while holding the child in his right arm after escaping the devastated airport.
"Excuse me." Matthew said stopping in front of one of the camp that says 'registration' on the top as well as putting the young boy on the ground "This little boy has been separated from his parents." He told them.
While Matthew was talking with the medics, the young boy was seen looking at the demolished city with a shocked expression. However, when he looked to his left, he saw his parents! That made him run towards them.
Once Matthew has finished talking to the two medics, he looked down on his right and noticed that the young boy wasn't next to him anymore. Perplexed by the disappearance, Matthew looked behind him to search for the boy, and when he looked to his left, he saw him safely reunited with his parents which made him smile warmly.
"Major load up."
When Matthew heard the noise, he urned around and saw a group of US military troops marching right next to him. He decided to ask one of them some questions.
"Excuse me sergeant. Lieutenant Cage, EOD officer." He introduced himself "I need your help, I'm trying to get to San Francisco." He told him.
"Well, it's your lucky day lieutenant." He told him with a smile "Everything not tied down is moving east." He finished
"Whoa is that where those monsters are heading?" Matthew asked with a perplexed expression.
"Yeah, I guess we're monster hunters now." He told him with a shrug. After that, the sergeant turned around and continued to follow his colleagues to the truck.
When Matthew heard this, he decided to follow the soldiers so that he can get to his location too.

In the north Pacific ocean, the changeling Thorax was seen swimming in the ocean calmly while tying to catch up to the griffon to restore balance. During his journey, he was being watched by the US Navy with two destroyers on his left and right sides, and an aircraft carrier behind him. While helicopters were all seen hovering above him. The military was trying their best to understand the changeling's intentions.
Inside the aircraft carrier control room, the marine officers were seen monitoring Thorax's movement to see where he is headed to next as well as his motivations.
"Satellite transfer complete." Said Nova as one of the screens enlarged with the suspected path that Thorax would take on it "Simulations uploaded. Last satellite tract predict the griffon continuing due east. All our models have the targets converging on the Pacific coast. As for now, it looks like Thorax is still chasing the griffon." She reported to the Admiral.
By this time, Toshihiro entered the control room with his wife to tell the Admiral about it's behaviour.
"He's preparing for a battle." He told him.
"Have all vessels maintain current distance from target." Joseph ordered. "And plot the speed and heading of these things. I wanna know exactly when and where they'll make landfall." He added.
"Yes sir."
"Doctor." Joseph called as the doctor was about to walk past him "What do you mean by 'preparing for a battle'? You think it's chasing Gallus?" He asked with a perplexed expression.
Toshihiro began to ponder about this hypothetical situation for a bit, right now, Thorax's current motives are still slightly unknown but, judging by his behaviour and his first battle against Gallus in Florida, he thinks he's here for a certain reason.
"But if Gallus is his target, the signal would show a call." Satomi told her husband. "Why call up a predator?" She asked in confusion.
"No, it didn't." Toshihiro told her which nonplussed her a bit "I think Thorax was only listening. Gallus was calling something else." He finished.
After pondering for a brief second, his eyes widened in horror as he figured out what the pattern was.
"The pattern." He said quietly. Then, he began to make his way to the control room's table in a quick way.
"Focus the search on Nevada." He ordered.
"Nevada? Why would it go to Nevada?" Satomi asked with a bewildered expression.
"Its impossible."
"What's impossible?" Joseph asked walking to the table.
"There was another egg intact, found in the Philippines mine fifteen years ago sir." Satomi told him "But we vivisected it honey. Ran every test on it for years. You confirmed it for yourself. It was dormant!" She told her husband with a concerned expression.
Toshihiro sighed as he agreed that he himself has stated that the egg that he, his wife, and Gregory found in the mines was dormant. However, he found out that he was wrong.
"Unless it wasn't." Toshihiro said.
"This other organism. Where is it now doctor?" Johnny asked.
"It was highly radioactive at that time, it was disposed of too." Satomi told him. "The Americans, they took it." She replied.
"Where is it now doctor?" Joseph asked him.
Toshihiro then looked up at admiral Joseph with a stern expression.
"Where do you store all of your nuclear waste?" He asked.
Las Vegas
On a road, there were two military trucks and one helicopter driving and flying to a certain location where nuclear waste was stored in a canyon. Inside the two military trucks were a special forces branch that was being transported there to search if there were any signs of a breach according to the speculation of Dr. Toshihiro. They were also seen putting on gas masks to protect themselves too.
Once the two military trucks made it to the front gates of the nuclear waste storage facility, two guards opened the gates for them allowing access. Then, the trucks drove into the facility while the helicopter flew above it to provide air support.
Once the trucks were inside, the drivers parked them and the soldiers all got off them with assault rifles in their hands. They then ran forward to check the vaults.
"Right let's go! Let's check the vaults!"
When one of the soldiers reached one of the vault doors, he slid open the vault doors rectangular sliding window and looked through it. He shined his assault rifle's flashlight into it and saw that the barrels of nuclear waste were still in there.
"Clear!" The soldier exclaimed closing the sliding window.
"Clear!" Exclaimed another soldier as he too closed the window of the vault that he has finished checking.
However, when another soldier reached another vault, he pulled the sliding window to the right and was immediately met with a flash of light shining at his face.
"Hey!"
The shout of the soldier has made the rest of the team turn around to his location, and they all too witnessed the bright light shining through. So, another soldier walked up to the vault and unlocked it, then, they pulled it open. After that, they immediately saw a wrecked up room which traumatized them all. The helicopter was seen hovering around it too.
The soldiers then walked through the vault and onto the broken floor. Once they all reached to the end of it, some took off their gas masks and took a deep breath.
Then, one of the soldiers brought out his binoculars and looked through it. He then looked to his right and saw a large brown and white coloured griffon heading towards Las Vegas which made his eyes widen in terror.
In a hotel restaurant in Las Vegas people were all seen having a fabulous meal after a long day. At first, everything seemed very tranquil for the guests but suddenly, the news channel popped up on TV with the title 'breaking news'. A brief second later, the TV showed an image of a giant griffon going on a rampage in Las Vegas which some guests noticed. Suddenly, all the lights in the restaurant have shut down. The guests were perplexed by this but then, they all got their answers when the roof was tore down which made the guests in the restaurant panic, one of the guest's look up and saw a gigantic griffon.
In an apartment, the Las Vegas fire brigade was seen responding to the devastating incident that shook the city minutes ago, now, the rescuers were searching for survivors.
"Is anyone in there?" The firefighter asked while knocking on the door, but they did not get a response back.
So, one of the firefighter pulled out his halligan tool and stuck the machine sharpened claws through the door frame and busted it open with his strength. After that, five firefighters entered the apartment block. When they did, they saw a giant crack in front of them so, they walked to the giant crack and looked out all to see a demolished city with five helicopters flying by.
In Las Vegas, the five helicopters were all seen following the large griffon to study it's motives during it's destructive rampage through the city.
Back in the aircraft carrier control room, one of the marine officers were seen reporting to the captain.
"Captain, our helicopters have footage of a new griffon." He told him.
"Let me have a look at it."
The officer obeyed his captain and a video of the giant griffon was seen destroying Las Vegas which scandalized the officers, however, Satomi noticed that this one is more taller compared to Gallus.
"This was taken five minutes ago."
"It's almost over 300 feet." Satomi said with a shocked expression.
Joseph also noticed that this griffon is slightly different compared to Gallus.
"But this one is much more taller than Gallus doctor." Joseph said looking at Toshihiro "In addition to that, it's colours are different." He added.
Toshihiro was astonished by this new griffon, it's textures and sizes were all different compared to Gallus. However, as he tried to remember it from the book, he knew what this creature was and it's name.
"A different gender perhaps?" Satomi asked.
"A female." Toshihiro told her "Her name is Gilda." He added.
Joseph looked up at a screen monitor which displayed sound waves of the two Griffons calls. They were almost as interchangeable as each other.
"That must've been who he was talking to. It must be a mating call. The female named Gilda remained dormant until Gallus matured."
"To reproduce." Satomi finished her husband's statement.
In the debriefing room in the aircraft carrier, marine soldiers including admiral Joseph, Toshihiro, and Satomi were all seen gathered in the room to figure out a plan on how to stop the two Griffons from provoking more casualties. A marine officer placed a map on the table and unfolded it.
"Current tracking models indicate that all three targets are converging in San Francisco Bay." Captain Johnny said "But, if we rig a nuclear warhead with a shielded timer, put it on a boat and send it 20 miles out, the radiation will lure the Griffons, and the Griffons will lure Thorax." He told them.
"But if we detonate it, there will be a high chance that people in the city will be harmed." An officer warned. Then, Satomi walked up to the table.
"You can't be serious." Satomi said with an incredulous expression "They feed on radiation." She reminded them.
"Precisely. That's why we use the bomb as bait." Johnny told her. "Then, we can kill them with the sheer force of the blast." He finished.
"That's deranged."
When the Admiral noticed that they weren't getting to anywhere with this meeting, he turned around and looked at Toshihiro.
"Doctor, if you have any other ideas, I'm all ears." He told him.
Toshihiro began to think about the behaviours of the two Griffons and Thorax for a bit. Currently, their motives were unpredictable, except for Thorax at least, the doctor knows clearly what Thorax's intentions were, he is seeking to accomplish something. Then, he looked up at the Admiral to report on his assumption.
"Admiral, Thorax may be the answer." He told him which got him baffled. "I believe that he is here to restore balance. He can defeat them." He finished.
"So what? We just stand by and watch? That's absurd." Joseph commented "Sorry doctor but, I can't take that risk, lives will be at stake if we don't act now." He told him with a stern expression. Then, he looked at his men around table.
"Prep the warheads and get moving to the coast." He ordered.
"Yes sir." They all said as they picked up their files and stood up from their chairs. Then, they all walked to the exit of the debriefing.
Satomi wanted to dispute about this preposterous plan but, she had nothing to say so, she too walked out of the debriefing room. Then, Joseph looked at Toshihiro with an apologetic expression.
"I know you disagree with this but, my first priority is to safeguard the citizens."
"You gotta try sometimes."
After that, Toshihiro walked past the Admiral and exited the debriefing room.
In the skies, a US aircraft transporter carrying forty soldiers were all seen heading towards San Francisco where their mission will be held in. However, their mission was changed when the large plane began to fly east.
"Alright everybody gear up!" The soldier coming down ordered "We've got a new mission and a new order." He told them.
When the soldiers in the plane heard this, they all stood up from their seats and geared up but, Matthew was perplexed so, he decided to ask what's going on.
"Tech sergeant." Matthew called, and the soldier turned around to face the soldier "What's going on?" He asked.
"Another monster appeared in Las Vegas sir." He replied.

Spring Valley, California 4:30pm
In Spring Valley, the streets of the town was now filled with military personnels and vehicles patrolling the streets for the safety of the citizens after the griffon attack, while other personnels were preparing for a mission ordered by the US Navy Admiral Joseph Ace.
Matthew Cade was seen taking a truck to his location where he will have a meeting, and he has been sitting in the back of the truck with his brothers for six minutes now. A brief second later, the truck came to a stop near the sidewalk.
"Okay everybody out." A ground soldier ordered as he and his colleagues pulled down the door of the truck. Then, twenty US soldiers including Matthew got off the truck. "Be alert, we're well in range of this new Griffon's EMP. So from here on out, its on the ground or it's not at all. Let's go!" He ordered.
A brief second later, Matthew heard a loud toot toot noise, he looked in front of him and saw a rail freight transport train driving on the train tracks with soldiers on one of the platforms behind the train. The platform was also carrying a large bomb. A brief second later, the train stopped.
"Alright listen up! This train and these weapons are headed to San Francisco." A soldier on the train platform informed "Anyone who are not part of this mission, disembark now." He ordered. Then, five soldiers got off.
When Matthew heard the information, he turned around and began to make his way to a shop where his superiors are trying to come up with a plan to lure the griffon to San Francisco as well as comprehending the railway path.
"That's a negative lieutenant." The tech sergeant told him "This is a high-risk mission. That train is a national asset, not Amtrak." He finished. Then, he walked up to a table.
"Are we good to go?"
"Just about."
"From the look of the casing on those Minuteman ICBMs guessing the digital module's been bypassed." Matthew assumed "And you're prepping for a full analog retrofit." He told him with an incredulous expression.
"Is my jaw suppose to drop by your intelligence?" The tech sergeant asked with a perplexed expression. "I know, you're EOD. I got my crew, and they know what they're doing." He told them as he began to walk to one of his men where a checklist will be given to him.
"Aim the pointy end at the monsters right sarge?" The soldier will the checklist asked, and he nodded to him. Then, he grabbed the checklist in his hands with a smile. After that, the soldier walked away.
"When was the last time you let one of your guys put their fingers in a live bomb?" He asked, but the tech sergeant didn't know how to reply due to him never placing his hands on a bomb before when he joined the US military "Look, this is what I do. This is my job." He told him sternly.
The tech sergeant didn't even bother to continue the conversation anymore due to him being busy with his mission. So, he turned around and began to walk to the exit of the shop however, Matthew called him again.
"Tech sergeant." Matthew called, and the soldier stopped once again to turn around and face him "My wife and son are in San Francisco right now. I need to get on that train, so please." He begged.
The tech sergeant began to ponder about this for a bit. A brief second later, he let out a sigh and gave the EOD officer a nod.
In a hospital in San Francisco, there were dozens of patients seen being transported to the hospital while doctors and nurses rushed to get to the sickbay to treat them, while anxious relatives were waiting anxiously for the news of their family's condition. On a table station, Matthew's son Kyle was seen on the large table while watching a news broadcast about a giant griffon that was destroying Las Vegas, and he had a concerned expression on him.
"Kyle, your mommy is gonna be right back." A nurse told him in an assuring tone. Then, she picked up a phone "Emergency, can I help you? What? Oh yeah, just a sec." She told the caller. Then, she turned around and looked at Melissa who was seen pushing a hospital stretcher with a patient on it out of a station.
"Melissa, this is for you." She told her.
"Tell them I'll be there in a minute." Melissa told her as she continued to push the patient to his room.
"Melissa, its your husband." She told her which made her stop in her tracks.
Melissa then walked to another wall telephone in the hospital after sending the patient to his room, once she got to it, she grabbed the phone, pressed the number buttons and placed it next to her right ear.
"Hey."
"Melissa?" Matthew said as he stood up straight.
"Matthew? Oh my goodness."
"You alright? Where's Kyle?"
"I've been trying to call you everywhere."
"You okay?"
"I'm fine. Kyle's with me right now." She told him.
"Great. Because, I wanna get you both out of San Francisco."
"Can't believe that this is happening." Melissa said as she leaned against a wall "Matthew. You okay?" She asked.
"I'm fine Melissa don't worry." He told her in an assuring tone.
"Baby, I'm so petrified right now, there are monsters in California." She told him in an anxious tone.
"I know. By consider this, I'm gonna be at the hospital by sunrise." He told her in an assuring tone. "Then I'll get you and Kyle out of San Francisco and to a safe place." He finished.
"Okay, but please try and be quick."
"I will. The military has a plan to deal with these things. So, don't worry." He told her. "I'm coming to get you both, okay?" He asked.
"Okay. I love you."
"I love you too."
After that, Matthew ended the transmission and stuck the phone back into its place. Then, he ran out of the building to where the train was preparing to travel.
"Okay let's go!" Yelled a soldier.
When Matthew heard this, he quickly put on his helmet and ran to the freight train where he will hitch a ride to San Francisco. Once he got to the platform where the large bomb was placed on, a soldier offered his hand to him and Matthew instantly grabbed it, after that, the soldier pulled him up on it.
Back in the aircraft carrier in the ocean, the US Navy Admiral was seen talking to someone on the phone about the warheads that's going to be transported to San Francisco.
"Yes sir. Yes, warheads are on the move."
"Splendid." The Admiral said in a satisfied tone. After that, he put the phone back into it's place. Then, he looked at the captain and gave him a nod.
"Alright people, let's get a move on." He ordered, and all of the officers obeyed him "I need to know the exact location of Gilda ASAP." He told them.
Then, the Admiral began to walk to another section of the control room to monitor the the two Griffons. But suddenly, Toshihiro walked up to him which made him stop in his tracks due to him knowing that he might have objections.
"What do you want doctor?" Joseph asked turning around.
"Please don't do this." Toshihiro said with a desperate expression.
"I understand your concerns, doctor. But I am sacrificing lives every minute trying to steer one if these things out of population centers." He told him sternly "And now, two more are on the way." He reminded him.
"There are millions of lives at risk. So all I want to know from you is: will it work and will they be killed?" He asked.
"We tried that before." Toshihiro reminded pointing at the monitor.
"We're taking doable yield. Megatons, not kilotons." Johnny told him "Nothing can withstand that blast. Makes the bomb we tried to kill it with '54 look like a firecracker." He finished in a confident tone.
However, Toshihiro still disagrees with this plan. He still trusts Thorax in helping them fight off the two Griffons to restore balance.
Somewhere on the railway tracks in 10:30pm, a group of US ground soldiers and Matthew were seen riding on the train carriage platform where the bomb was placed in, while one soldier was driving the train. During the trip to San Francisco, Matthew has decided to take out a large panel on the bomb with some help.
"Okay, one, two, three!" Matthew said as he and the soldier both took off the panel.
"I though these nukes was remote controlled sir."
"The griffons can knock out electronics from a mile away including detonators." Matthew told him which shocked him a little. A brief second later, he and the soldier replaced another large panel onto the bomb "Can't even get in range without these things wandering everywhere which is going to be difficult and frustrating. But this, on the other hand, is old school. Clockwork." He finished.
"Takes a licking keeps on ticking." The soldier joked which made Matthew chuckle as well.
Suddenly, the tranquil moment was put to an end when an explosion was heard in the distance. Matthew turned around and saw a a huge fire across the mountain which traumatized the soldiers. Then, without warning, the soldier driving the train immediately pulled the lever down and it began to stop while making loud noises which nearly knocked the soldiers over. A brief second later, the train has stopped.
Matthew and the soldiers looked up over the hill and saw gunshots, rockets, and explosions happening in the distance.
"Holy moly."
Then, all of the soldiers got off the train and started to make their way to the front of the train where a captain was seen trying to contact his colleagues on the other side.
"Charlie, this is Echo." The captain identified "Are we clear to drive across the bridge?" He asked, but, all he got was static, so, he tried to call again.
"I repeat, we got a cargo headed for the coast, are we clear to drive across the bridge?" The captain asked again. But again, all he heard were static noises.
Matthew then walked forward past the captain with an assault rifle equipped on him and looked through the tunnel. When he did, he noticed something unusual through the tunnel, so, he decided to do an investigation.
Inside the tunnel, four soldiers, one of them being Matthew were all seen walking through the large tunnel with assault rifles aimed left and right as well as it's flashlight component shining everywhere, so that it would be feasible for them to see.
After walking in the tunnel for three minutes, they all have made it out of the tunnel and were now standing on top of a bridge.
"Do you guys think it's intact?" Matthew asked them as he lowered his assault rifle.
"Doesn't look impaired to me sir." A soldier on his left told him.
"But, we still need to do a quick sweep to corroborate that it's safe." One of them said in a logical tone.
Then, the four soldiers decided to split up into two groups with two soldiers taking a ladder down to the bottom of the bridge, while Matthew and another soldier took the top.
On the bridge, Matthew and the soldier were both seen scrutinizing their surroundings with their assault rifles aimed left and right to see if there were any hazards around the place that would provoke detrimental harm to the transportation process. However, during the walk, the soldier that is on the bridge with Matthew tripped on the tracks and fell on it, dropping his rifle in the process.
"Dang it." The soldier muttered with an irked expression.
On the ground, the two soldiers were also seen scrutinizing their surroundings to see if there were any hazards. But suddenly, a gun fell in front of them which startled them both.
"Gosh."
Then, both soldiers felt a slight heat presence behind them, both of them turned around and saw an orange glow heading towards them which got them baffled. But, just when the glow began to get closer to them, the two soldiers jumped back, and a flamming tank bumped onto shore which a brief second later continued to be pushed by the water currents in the river.
The two soldiers stood back up again and turned around to see a bunch of flamming military debris flowing in the river which shocked them both.
"What in the world?"
Back on the bridge, Matthew and the soldier both have reached to the end of the bridge after tip toeing for a total of four minutes.
"Bridge is intact." Matthew told him, then, the soldier grabbed his radio and began to report back.
"Echo, this is George, the area's clear to move out. Over." He told them.
"Copy."
On the other side of the tunnel, the soldiers were all seen getting back on the train to continue with their journey on transporting the atomic weapon to San Francisco. A toot was heard and the train began to move.
Under the bridge, the two soldiers on the ground were seen still observing their surroundings, and they saw nothing. They first thought that everything was okay but suddenly, a large sound was heard behind them. The two soldiers turned around and saw a long brown and yellow coloured leg lifting up from the ground which startled them both.
On top of the bridge, Matthew and his fellow colleagues could see the large leg in the bridge too.
"Hit the deck!" Matthew exclaimed as he and the other soldier lied down on the bridge on their backs.
Matthew and the soldier looked to their right and saw another giant griffon walking next to them on the ground, Matthew noticed that this griffon is completely different compared to Gallus, he must assume that it was the second griffon that the tech sergeant told him about.
A brief second later, the griffon bent down and began to walk underneath the bridge, once it was under it, Matthew and his colleagues can feel it's breathing and growls. Suddenly, the soldier's radio began to flash red.
"Lieutenant, help me turn this off."
When Matthew heard this he tried to reach out for the radio but suddenly, the giant griffon rose up again above the bridge, and Matthew noticed that this griffon was 300 feet tall!
The griffon then took notice of the two soldiers after it stood up straight, it attempted to study them but then, it heard a loud toot noise in front of it, so, she let out a growl and started to walk to the source of the sound. While walking, Matthew noticed that the Griffon's belly was quite large, could it be carrying eggs? Ten seconds later, it disappeared into the mist.
Matthew and his colleagues both stood up straight when they saw the creature heading towards the train's location. A brief second later, growling and shouting noises were heard in front of them which shocked the both of them.
Both soldiers tried move forward to see what was going on, but suddenly, the freight train was charging towards them while on fire which made both Matthew and the soldier's eyes widen in horror.
"RUN!" Matthew shouted.
After that, Matthew and the soldier both turned around and started to run away from the out of control freight train. While running the soldier behind Matthew looked to his left and saw a giant yellow claw heading towards him.
"Lieutenant Matthew!"
But it was too late, the griffon has hit the bridge and knocked the soldier off of it.
"Duncan!"
The freight train was catching up to Matthew really fast, and there was no way that he can outrun in on foot. So, he turned to his right and jumped off the bridge, with the front of the cargo train falling with him.
Once Matthew splashed into the water, he looked up and saw the burning freight train falling down towards him. Luckily, he was able to swim out of the way in time. After dodging the train, Matthew swam up to the surface and took a deep breath, then, he looked at the giant 300 feet griffon and saw it munching on the bomb, however, a component of it fell down to the ground, a brief second later, the griffon swallowed the tip of the bomb.
Back in sea, marine soldiers on and in the aircraft carrier have noticed that Thorax is currently changing his route.
"He's going under!"
"Boats, sound the collision alarm. Frame 180." An officer in the aircraft carrier watchtower ordered.
One marine officer looked out of the window and saw the green changeling known as Thorax diving under the ocean which got them perplexed.
In the aircraft carrier control room, the Admiral was seen studying a map of the routes that Thorax, Gallus, and Gilda might take to San Francisco. But suddenly, the three pencils on the table rolled to the left which drew Joseph's attention.
"Thorax has dived under admiral." Nova informed.
When Joseph heard this, he turned around and looked at the monitor which showed a video of Thorax diving down into the water.
"Changing course and moving fast. I've got him at 34 knots and picking up speed." She added. "But, the bright side is that, he's not going to outrun us." She told him.
Toshihiro looked at the monitor real quick and began to think about Thorax's current hurried behaviour now. After thinking of a brief second, he has figured out what he was trying to do.
Shore 8:30am
On a shore in an area, bodies of US soldiers who were on the train transporting the bomb to San Francisco have unfortunately lost their lives, except for one at least. In the middle of the shore, Matthew Cade has survived the sudden onslaught of the griffon, he let out a cough and opened his eyes after hearing what sounds to be like a whirling noise of a helicopter.
Matthew rolled himself over and saw a transport helicopter flying to his location. So, he stood up and began to stagger his way towards the helicopter. He then saw the helicopter lifting a part of the bomb that he and his colleagues were transporting.
"Sir!" One of the soldiers called his superior, he then gave him a signal and the superior looked behind him and saw an injured soldier.
"Medic!" He shouted.
San Francisco
In a hospital in San Francisco where Melissa works in, military personnels and doctors were seen evacuating citizens and wounded patients out of the hospital.
"Sir these patients are my responsibility. Where are you taking them?" Melissa asked one of the soldier's.
"Across the bridges." He replied simply "Critical and children only." He added as he walked away.
"Shelters are going to fill up fast." Rose told her as she walked up to her "Trust me, the kids will be safer outside of the city." She finished. Then, she continued to guide the children's out of the hospital. And Melissa told her.
"I can take Kyle." She offered.
"N-no, my husband's on his way." Melissa told her.
"If you change your mind, the buses leave in ten minutes." Rose informed her, then, she turned around and began to guide the children to the buses.
Melissa began to ponder about this situation for a bit, right now, her husband will be returning to the hospital soon to pick her and her son up, but, will he make it in time? After thinking for a brief second, she made up her mind.
Outside of the hospital, people were seen being evacuated from the city on military trucks, while the children were seen being evacuated on school buses, helicopters were seen in the air too, and in one of the helicopters was Matthew. And he saw the bomb being flown to somewhere else.
"Hey! Where are they taking the bomb?"
"Twenty miles offshore, convergence point. We're gonna lure them there." The soldier replied.
In San Francisco bay, the transport helicopter was seen lowering the large bomb on one of the frigates in the ocean. Once it was near the boat, eight US marine officers placed their hands on the sides of the bomb and gently lowered it on a holder.
Back in the parking lot of the hospital, Melissa was seen carrying her son Kyle while trying to look for a bus. Then, a brief second later, the sounds of a car honking made her turn around.
"Wait!" Melissa said as she ran up to the bus.
The driver of the bus then opened the doors and Melissa placed Kyle in it. She noticed that Rose was in it too which made her very relieved.
"Okay Kyle. Rose here is going to take good care of you and take you to a safe place okay?" Melissa told him. "Daddy's going to be back soon, and me and your father will immediately pick you up. I promise." She finished.
"Don't worry Melissa, as long as he is with me then, everything will be okay." She assured her with a smile.
Before she let her son go, she gave him a peck on the fore head and stepped back from the school bus doors, the two of them said goodbye to each other, and the driver of the bus closed the doors and began to drive to the place where soldiers will shelter the kids in.

Oakland, California 9:30am
In Oakland, a tactical operations command center was set up on a mountain, many military vehicles were seen driving around the area in preparation for the plan to lure the three monsters or Equestrians according to doctor Toshihiro into San Francisco.
In a helicopter where Matthew was hitching a ride on, the helicopter was seen slowly making a land on the ground so that the soldiers could get off. Once it got to the ground, all of the soldiers including Matthew got off it, then, two soldiers began to help the wounded soldier to the paramedics. When they got to them, the two soldiers sat him on a box and the paramedics began to check his wounds, while the two soldiers rushed to return to their work.
"You good buddy?" The paramedic asked "Did you loose consciousness?" He asked again.
"I'm okay sir, really, I'm okay." He told him.
In a building on the mountain, Admiral Joseph Ace was seen entering the door of the meeting room where high ranking military officers were seen sat around the table awaiting for the creatures to arrive in San Francisco so that they could commence their plan.
"Anyone got the location of the targets?"
"Gallus was spotted 30 miles off the Farallon islands." One of the officers reported. "It is also showing seismic activity to the east near Livermore. Should means that Gilda is closing in." He finished.
"Where is Thorax then?" Joseph asked.
"Last contact with the changeling was five hours ago." Nova told him "Maintaining a bearing of 54 degrees, descending below a depth of 10,000 feet. He might arrive within the hour." She added.
Joseph then looked at the large TV and saw that civilians were still being evacuated on the golden gate bridge while in trucks and school buses which made him concerned.
"There are still buses on that bridge."
Golden gate bridge, San Francisco
On the golden gate bridge in San Francisco, the bridge was packed with school buses with children inside of them, and some cars with civilians driving them, the militaries ambition is to get the citizens to the other side of the bridge as quickly as possible before the three Equestrians named: Thorax, Gilda, and Gallus arrives to cause havoc which can result in casualties, police barricades were set up at the end by the San Francisco police. It was also seen raining heavily too.
On the 2,737 meters bridge, there was a bit of a traffic jam with police officers trying to get cars to the other side one by one to prevent disorder. Then, a police officer wearing a black rain coat walked up to one of the school buses where Kyle was in.
"We're not gonna stop the buses here." The officer told the driver "I need you to-"
Inside of the school bus, the bus driver was seen leaning close to the windshield of the bus trying to listen to the police officer, however, it was quite difficult for him due to the kids constantly shouting at the back.
"What? I can't hear you." The driver told him, then, he turned around and looked at the children that he is going to drive to the other side "Oh kids please be quiet." He begged.
The kids were seen shouting at each other in a merriment manner, but then, some loud noises stopped them, they all looked out the windows on their left and saw four tanks driving by them which made them wow in return.
On the bridge, tanks were seen dispatched to the bridge for some ground support, then, one of them drove into the railing which made it bend in return. After that, three US military ground soldiers armed with assault rifles and rocket launchers walked to the other railing. Once they got to it, the three of them aimed their rocket launchers forward in preparation for the three monsters arrivals. Eleven frigates were also seen sailing on the San Francisco bay.
Back inside the bus, kids were seen playing and shouting with each other happily, but suddenly, a loud sound of an animal growling stopped them. All of the kids looked out the left side of the window to see what was happening. Even the bus driver looked out the window on his left.
At he back of the bus, Kyle looked through one of the bus's windows to see what was out there, but, all he saw were soldiers, and ships on the water. Suddenly, a seagull crashed into the bus which startled the children for a bit, it even cracked the window. A brief second later, the seagull flew away from the bus.
On the sea, US Marines on one of the frigates, saw a flock of seagulls flying away which got hem baffled, suddenly, one of the soldiers saw something coming in the distance.
"Portside! Three hundred meters!"
Then, a US Navy lieutenant at the front of the boat turned around and looked at the distance to see a green back with two purple shells on the sides of it's torso.
"Brace!" The Lieutenant exclaimed. Then, all of the marine officers on the frigate grabbed onto something. However, the green object stopped twenty centimeters from the boat which got them surprised.
"Hold your fire." One of the marines on the frigate ordered.
At first, everything seemed okay but suddenly, the four marine soldiers at the front of the shop saw the creature lifting up it's bug looking mane which was at least 540 feet long!
"Holy crap!"
The soldiers then turned around and saw the large creature lifting it's back up in front of them which caused two frigates to be lifted up, knocking over soldiers in the process.
"Fire! Fire! Fire!"
Then, at the control room of the frigate, a soldier fired shells from the cannon directly at the creature's back which immediately exploded on impact, but, the creature did not feel a thing as it continued to rise up from the sea. After that, two frigates fired missiles towards it, but, they all missed and flew above the golden gate bridge which startled the soldiers on there.
"Ahhhh!" Screamed the kids as they ducked.
"Get back to your seats everyone!" Rose told them.
When the school bus driver noticed the zooming projectiles, he decided to immediately drive the kids out of here. So, he stepped on the gas pedal and began to drive, pushing a car out of the way in front of him in the process as well as breaking through a barricade and a police car.
"Get out of the way!" He exclaimed as citizens and police officers moved out of the buses way.
The driver was driving as fast as he can to get himself, Rose, and the kids to the other side where they will be safe, but suddenly, one of the missiles from the frigates collided into a part of the bridge which exploded on impact, then, the golden gate bridge's right main cable fell on the road, blocking the buses path in the process. When the driver noticed this, he immediately slammed into the brakes and stopped the bus. But this time, five US ground soldiers walked to the railing of the bridge, then, one of them pulled sour his radio.
"Marines! There are civilians on the bridge!" He exclaimed, but it was two late, two more frigates fired four more rockets that were heading straight for the bridge which made the soldiers eyes eiden in terror. But miraculously, the missiles collided into the torso of the creature instead, and the bridge was still intact.
Kyle and the kids looked in front of them and saw a giant green bug looking creature with two orange deer horns on the sides of it's head, a green unicorn horn on it's forehead, purple eyes and shelled wings.
"Attack!"
Then, the soldiers on the bridge began to shoot bullets and explosive shells from tanks directly at Thorax's torso.
Thorax let out a slightly pained roar when the projectiles hit him in the chest. He then gripped onto the left main cable of the bridge with his left hoof which made it bend in return.
Inside the school bus where Kyle was in, the kids were seen screaming and panicking by the sight of the large monster. The bus driver was trying his very best to look for a clear route to drive, and on cue, a tank was seen reversing to get some distance from the monster so that the driver could shoot better. The action also pushed the cable away.
The bus driver immediately took his opportunity and slammed on the gas pedal while honking his bus.
"Move! Move!" He exclaimed, then soldiers moved out of the bus's way.
While driving, the kids were seen screaming in terror while looking back at the giant monster that was being shot at by dozens of soldiers with their assault rifles, tanks, and missiles. A brief second later, the creature has had enough and he drew his left hoof back and smashed through the middle of the bridge, tearing it in the process. And the bus driver has successfully drove to the other side of the bridge.
On the other side of the bridge, another US Navy captain named Marco shake was seen on a frigate with a shocked expression after seeing Thorax smashing the golden gate bridge 800 meters in front of him But, he snapped out of it and began to commence the next phase of the plan, which is to activate the bomb on the boat.
"Prepare to arm the device!" He ordered his troops.
"Yes sir!"
Then, all of the soldier gently placed their hands on the bomb and the captain walked to the large capsule of it. Two soldiers removed the case on the panel, and the captain pulled down the cover.
"Arming keys!" Marco exclaimed as he and a soldier next to him stuck the keys in the keyholes of the bomb. After that, the soldier began to count down.
"Three! Two! One!"
Then, Marco and the marine soldier both rotated the keys ninety degrees, then, the gears next to the panel began rotating and the timer began to count down. Suddenly, an explosion was heard from the skies which made all of the soldiers look up in the sky. When they did, a huge wave hit all of them including the city. A brief second later, the lights in the city all
"What in the world was that?"
"That was an EMP."
A marine officer driving the frigate pulled the lever back twice in a row but, the ship did not move an inch, nor did it's engines began running.
"Engines stopped, we lost power!"
San Francisco
In San Francisco, Melissa was seen treating a patient along with a paramedic while she was outside of the ambulance, while the paramedic was inside. However, the power shut down which perplexed the paramedic.
Melissa turned around and saw something up in the skies. She looked closer and saw a soldier parachuting down to the ground which was perplexing. Suddenly, a huge explosion happened behind her which startled some citizens in the city. Melissa turned around and saw a jet crashing into a building which traumatized her. It then fell to the ground and exploded on impact.
Back in the sea, marine soldiers on frigates noticed fighter jets raining down from the sky and splashing into the sea, one US air force soldier managed to eject in time and parachute into the sea. However, one of the jets splashed near the frigate where Captain Marco and his team were on which made them fall down on the ship.
"Is everybody okay?" Marco asked.
"We're okay captain." A soldier groaned as he slowly stood up.
But, he spoke too soon because, a loud screech was heard above their frigate. The soldiers looked up and saw the griffon Gallus diving down towards their boat.
"Above us!"
"Open fire!"
Then, five marines on the frigate all aimed their assault rifles north and fired at the diving Equestrian monster but, it was no use, Gallus has already dived down into the frigate and into the water.
In a coastal road in San Francisco, the citizens on the road just witnessed the giant blue monster diving down into the ocean as well as her frigate which scandalized them all. Suddenly, the monster surfaced up from the sea and climbed into the road which made them all run away while screaming in terror, it was also carrying a piece of the boat with it's beak.
Gallus then spat the part of the frigate that he broke onto the road and started to pull the bomb out. Five seconds later, the bomb was detached from the piece and Gallus pulled it away from his beak and grabbed it with his claws. After that, he spread his wings and started to fly South where he will meet up with his mate Gilda.
Chinatown, San Francisco
After flying over the city for a brief second, Gallus has arrived in San Francisco's Chinatown. He then landed on the entrance of it and began to shout for his mate in front of him who was coming to Chinatown too while toppling two skyscrapers, creating a cloud of dust in the process.
Gallus then flew forward again and landed in the middle of Chinatown with he bomb in his beak. A brief second later, Gilda appeared out of the dust. The two Griffons then gave each other a warm nuzzle after reuniting with each other. A brief second later, they both pulled their heads back and Gilda grabbed the bomb out of Gallus's beak with hers, after that, she grabbed it out of her beak with her left claw and gently placed it on the ground underneath her.
Gallus then spread his wings and took off into town to search for more atomic sources for Gilda, while Gilda was digging a hole in the centre of Chinatown where she will lay her eggs and put the bomb in.
Oakland
In Oakland, military personnels were seen running everywhere as the three Equestrians arrived in San Francisco.
"Kyle Cade was checked into the Oakland Coliseum shelter an hour ago. He is safe." A medic informed Matthew. "But we have no record of Melissa Cade. She didn't make it out of the city." He told him.
"Well check again please." He pleaded with a vexed expression "I told her to wait for me, and I didn't make it." He told him.
"They're trying to get everyone downtown into subway shelters." He said as he grabbed the checklist that he was writing on. Then, he turned around and ran to another place.
Matthew was beyond scandalized to hear that his wife is not in shelter in Oakland, could she still be in the city? He is very worried for her right now.
"Lieutenant Cade!" A soldier called, and Matthew turned around and faced him "Are you Cade?" He asked.
"Yes." He replied.
Matthew was then led to a meeting room where a group of military soldiers with parachute backpacks on their backs were seen looking down on a map of San Francisco provided by Captain Johnny Brand.
"Alright, listen up guys. Gallus delivered the warhead to Gilda in the centre of Chinatown." Johnny told them "That puts a hundred-thousand civilians in the blast radius. We can't stop it remotely." He warned which shocked some of the soldiers.
"An analog timer has been installed though."
"But captain, Gallus and Gilda are shutting down electronics within a five-mile bubble." A soldier reminded him of their abilities "This means that approaching from ground is not going to be a valid option." He said in a logical tone.
"That's why you guys be conducting a HALO insertion where you guys will jump down with parachutes, it will be a 30,000 feet drop." Johnny told them.
"So I guess that we can just skate to the top and drop here. And here's if you don't hit a skyscraper on the way, we meet at rally point with Delta."
"Doctor." Another soldier called him "Any guesses where to look?" He asked.
"Underground." Toshihiro replied "If the MUTO spawned they'll be building a nest." He told them.
"Captain." Admiral Joseph called him "When you find the warhead, how long do you think that it'll take for you guys to disarm it?" He asked.
"Without seeing the analog mod, I couldn't even guess."
"Sixty seconds of I can access it."
The soldiers all looked to the source of the familiar voice and saw the EOD lieutenant Matthew Cade standing by the table.
"I retrofitted that device myself." He told them.
"Lieutenant Cage is out only EOD officer to survive the train attack admiral." Johnny told him.
"Well it sounds like we could use you."
"With all due respect, if that doesn't work, will we have a plan B?" Another soldier asked in a worried tone.
"No need to fret, the waterfront is located one klick downhill." He told him "Get the bomb to the pier, onto a boat and as far away from the city as possible before it detonates." He finished in an assuring tone.
"Any questions?" The captain asked, but everyone was silent. "Mission start." He told them.
"Alright let's move!"
Then, all of the soldiers who are doing this mission began to head to the door of the meeting room. However, Johnny called Matthew again.
"Lieutenant." Johnny called, and Matthew immediately stopped to look at him "They've already been briefed. We have no extraction plan though. If you don't walk out, you don't come back at all." He warned.
"Sir, I'll do whatever it takes." Matthew told him in a confident tone. After that, he turned to his left and walked out of the meeting room.
Once the meeting has ended, the Admiral Joseph Ace turned to his left where the doctor Toshihiro was standing while looking out to the demolished San Francisco.
"This alpha predator of yours, doctor do you really think he has a chance?" Joseph asked.
"The arrogance of a man is thinking nature is in our control and not the other way around." Toshihiro told him.
"Let them fight." He said.

Sam Francisco
In an office building in San Francisco, there was a group of people seen working on one of the floors of the large company while being unaware of the current situation. Suddenly, they all heard a screeching sound coming from the distance.
The workers all faced the window behind or in front of them and saw an object flying towards them which got them baffled.
"What is that?"
"I do not know Gary."
Then, all of the workers got their answers when a giant blue griffon began to fly towards their location. That has made all of the workers panic and get down on the ground in preparation for the impact. But miraculously, the monster made a right turn, avoiding the building in the process.
After flying in the air for a brief second, Gallus landed on a roof of a skyscraper which broke in the process due to his weight, then, he let it a screech, and the people on the highway began to panic.
On the highway, Melissa was seen staring up at the creature with a petrified expression on her along with some other citizens who were trying to evacuate. Then, everyone turned around and tried to run away but suddenly, another monster appeared in front of them, and the monster was none other than Thorax himself! But to the citizens, it was a giant green bug that was over 300 feet with deer horns, and a unicorn horn!
Once Thorax stood up straight, he shot Gallus a glare as if he wants him to stop all of this madness and restore balance. When Gallus noticed Thorax, he let out an angry growl and flew towards him.
A brief second later, Melissa and the civilians all retreated into a train station entrance where soldiers and police officers who were dispatched into the city will shelter them in. Once all of the civilians were in, Melissa turned around once again and saw the giant green bug, and the giant griffon fighting against each other. A brief second later, the doors of the train station entranced were slammed shut by a US military ground soldier, and A San Francisco police officer.
In the skies, a large transport aircraft was seen flying through the skies above San Francisco while carrying around thirty soldiers inside of the large plane, one of them being Matthew Cade. The soldiers were all seen wearing vests, helmets, goggles for eye protection, a parachute backpack, and wielding assault rifles and two sniper rifles on them in preparation of the High Altitude Military parachuting jump down to San Francisco to retrieve a bomb.
While flying, a soldier was seen praying that they would complete the mission no matter the cost. When his buddy next to him noticed his stress, he calmed him down with a pat on his shoulder.
"Relax Dave, everything will be alright." He assured him "We just have to retrieve that bomb and send it away from the city, then, it will be mission accomplished." He told him with a smile.
"I know Nick but, I'm quite anxious."
"Don't be buddy, after all, we are soldiers, and our duty is to defend our country and the community from threats like this."
When Dave heard his friend's assuring words, he breathed in, and exhaled. After that, his stress has been relieved. Then, he and Nick both have each other a fist bump in a way to express that they're ready, and David's gratitude towards his comrade.
In the middle of the aircraft, Matthew was seen finished putting on his helmet while sitting with his brothers. A brief second later, he reached into one of his vest pocket's with his right hand and pulled out a picture of his wife and son. He unfolded it, and looked at his wife in the image with a smile on his face.
"Don't worry baby, I'll save you." He told her in a confident tone.
A brief second later, the lights in the aircraft all turned red, and an alarm began to sound loudly which indicates that it's time for the soldiers to jump down to San Francisco. Then, all of the soldiers wore their breathing masks on, and the hanger doors behind them slid open. After that, all of the soldiers stood up from their seats and turned to their lefts and rights, putting on their goggles in the process. Then, they all spread out a bit to give each other some room to jump, after that, the alarm began to beep.
*Beep... Beep... Beep!*
After the third beep, all of the soldiers ran to the opened hanger door and jumped out of the plane. Then, they all began to fall with flares streaming red smoke in their boots so that they can see where they were. Ten seconds later, he soldiers reached the clouds and dived into it where they saw a bit of thunder.
After falling through the clouds for thirty seconds, all of the soldiers have fell through them. Now, the deteriorated San Francisco was seen underneath them.
While falling, Matthew looked in front of him and saw the changeling monster Thorax, and the griffon monster Gallus fighting each other in the large city which made his eyes widen. Gallus gripped onto Thorax's orange with his claws and attempted to bite him with his beak, however, Thorax was able to push him away with his hooves, and thankfully, he did not hit any of the soldiers falling to the city. Before Matthew made it to the city, he saw Thorax opening his muzzle and letting out a roar.
After witnessing the event that occured, Matthew looked back down and saw that he was closing in on the ground so, he pulled the string on his parachute backpack, and the canopy popped out of his backpack, slowing down his fall in the process. Matthew steered himself to the left so that he could not hit a building that was near him, he also avoided Gallus too who was seen flying away from Thorax.
Once Matthew landed onto a street in San Francisco, he took off his mask and goggles and threw them on the floor. After that, he looked in front of him and saw the shadow of Thorax's insect looking mane walking away from him.
The EOD officer then wrap the sling of his assault rifle around his neck and began to run forward. Seven seconds later, he was now on a cross section, he looked to his left and saw the long 540 feet mane of the changeling Thorax sliding away from him.
"Take position! Take position!"
When Matthew heard the yells, he turned around and saw eight of his comrades behind him, so, he ran to their location.
"I saw team one move to the east." A soldier told them "Two of our brothers did not make it unfortunately. I heard bits and pieces in the radio. Snipers David and Nick are on the rooftop moving into position" He informed.
A soldier looked into a little bomb indicator in his right hand and saw that the bomb was North East in front of them
"Here we go. I'm picking up the nuke." He told them.
"Where is it?"
"One klick up the hill."
"Okay guys, we found the warhead. Let's move on this direction!"
Then, the nine soldiers all turned around and began to run up the street to where the nuke is located in so that they can retrieve it. However, they will be encountering something else up there too.
After running up the street while following the soldier holding the indicator for a minute, the soldiers have all reached Chinatown where the nuke is located in. Then, they all hid behind two cars opposite from each other after seeing another griffon in front of them.
"Hey." One of the soldiers called.
Matthew looked at his colleagues and saw him pointing at the griffon in front of them all. The EOD officer cautiously peeked out through the car's cracked window and saw the giant griffon known as Gilda screeching in agony in a hole, she must be laying her eggs from what he had saw on the bridge.
The team was going to move to another cover area but suddenly, the sound of parts of a building's roof collapsing stopped them. All of the soldier turned around and a building's debris falling to the ground, following up with an insect looking mane swinging above the buildings behind the dust. At first, the soldiers couldn't see what was behind the huge dust cloud, but then, a small lightning in the clouds illuminated through the dusts a bit which revealed a 390 feet monster known as Thorax. Thorax then stepped forward out of the cloud of dust and glared at Gilda, a brief second later, he took a deep breath, and let out a loud roar with his shelled wings opened.
The soldiers were shocked by the sudden presence of the large Equestrian, but suddenly, a screeching noise heard behind them. They all turned around and saw the griffon Gilda standing up straight from the ground and staring at Thorax with an angry expression. She then lifted her legs up and started to run towards him, breaking a building's roof in the process.
When one of the soldier noticed the griffon was away from the hole, he took the chance and looked at his comrades.
"Come on everyone let's go!"
After that, all of the US military soldiers walked away from their hiding spots, and began to run to the large hole where the bomb is located.

The two Equestrians known as Thorax and Gilda were both seen charging towards each other with angry expressions as if they were ready to fight each other. When they were near each other, Gilda bent down a bit and jumped towards Thorax with her right claw behind her back, attempting to slash the changeling in the neck. When Thorax noticed the attack, he moved his head back and the attack was evaded, and Gilda placed her right leg on her left in order to maintain her balance after the miss. When Thorax saw his opportunity, he moved forward and pushed Gilda in the chest with his hooves. After that, he began to push her through the city.
Back in Chinatown, the nine soldiers were seen making their way to the large hole that Gilda dug in the centre of the town. Once they got to it, they looked down and saw a demolished area with some cars which traumatized the soldiers, but, the nuke was nowhere to be found.
"Sarge, get a look at this." The soldier with the device told him.
Then, the sergeant walked up to the soldier and looked down all to see a destroyed street.
"We gotta get moving. You got a signal yet?"
The soldier then looked at his indicator once more and saw the red dot was still flickering on the screen, and the bomb was right in front of them.
"Yes. It's down there." He told them. There were also another group of soldiers going down to the location of the bomb too.
Matthew and the right soldiers all jumped down the hole that the griffon dug and began to follow the other group of soldiers towards a door. When the other group reached the door, one of the soldiers kicked them open, and the area was clear.
"Alright, move! Move!"
Then, all of the soldiers walked through the door where the bomb is located in, and Matthew was the last to come through. Once Matthew was in, he looked down and saw that the bomb was placed in the centre of the hole, but, there were other things behind it too. Matthew took a closer look and noticed that those were eggs. There were a total of one-hundred eggs behind the nuke.
"There's the nuke!"
Once the soldiers got to the nuke, they checked the time on the panel and noticed that there was only half and hour left until it explodes!
"We only have about half an hour before it explodes!"
"Let's defuse it then!"
When Matthew heard this, he ran down to the bomb so that he could defuse it.
Back in the city, Thorax was seen pushed Gilda backwards in the city, sending six cars rolling on the street as well as tripping their alarms in the process. Gilda was trying her best to try and get free from her grip but, her opponent was just to strong. She even tried to bite him on the neck but, the changeling kept dodging by moving his head left and right. She couldn't use her wings due to her still in a frail state after giving birth to all of those eggs.
When Gilda noticed that Thorax has pushed her in between two skyscrapers, she grabbed onto them with her claws for some leverage, but, to no avail due to Thorax putting his left hoof on Gilda's neck and pushing her and himself through the two buildings, and Gilda onto the ground, making her screech in pain. The impact has also broke a large window of the train station that Melissa and a group of civilians were hiding in.
When the civilians saw the head of the Griffons, they began to panic due to their hiding place being exposed to the two monsters.
Gilda tried to get up from the ground but Thorax pinned her onto the floor with his left hoof, and the pressure that he is putting on her was too strong. The changeling then lifted his right hoof up and attempted to stomp on the Griffon's face, but suddenly, Gallus came out of nowhere and grabbed onto Thorax's neck with his claws, dragging him away from his mate in the process, and the changeling was trying desperately to get the other griffon off of him.
Gilda then stood up from the ground after the attack and stared at her opponent with an extremely enraged expression. She then charged towards and tacked him on the right side of his torso, making him crash into a building in the process as well as falling onto the ground.
The changeling looked up at Gilda and let out an angry roar but then, the two Griffons smacked him with their claws which made in roar in pain slightly.
Back in the nest, the soldiers have all successfully moved the bomb to a more appropriate location so that Matthew could work more efficiently.
"Okay, time to defuse this bomb." Matthew said.
Then, two soldiers attempted to remove the cover but, it was stuck.
"It's not budging. It's sealed shut." The soldier said with an irked expression.
"We need time to open with with a tool or something."
"We don't have any time left, let's take it to the boat and get it out of the city!"
Then, six of the soldiers lifted the large warhead up and began to move it to the doors of the hole while being guided by the rest of their comrades. Matthew was about to follow them but then, he turned around and looked back at the griffon eggs with a concerned expression. If those hatchlings hatch, not only will they pose a threat to the United States, but around the world. The EOD officer then looked to his left and saw a tanker truck, the place also had some small flames around it too. Then, a plan was formulated in his head. So, he ran to the tanker.
Back in the city, Thorax was getting overwhelmed by the two Griffons attacking him, there was no way that he could fight both of them at the same time due to his enormous size.
A brief second later, Gilda charged towards him and bit onto his neck which made Thorax roar in pain, then, the griffon pushed the changeling to the ground, knocking over a building in the process.
Back in Chinatown, the soldiers have successfully lifted the bomb out of the hole and we're now heading to the boat where they will take this thing away.
In the nest however, Matthew was seen trying to open the tanker's safety valves by hitting the lever with a pipe. He swung his arms back and smacked the lever, and the lever was pushed, released gallons of oil in the process. After that, the lieutenant jumped off of the truck and began to run out of the hole before the place explodes. Just as he made it to the door, the oil was seen already flooding the place, and it almost reached a small fire.
After climbing up the hole for two minutes, Matthew has made it out of the nest, but suddenly, the oil flooded in there made contact with the small fire, creating a huge explosion in the process which sent Matthew flying.
"Whoa!" Matthew yelped.
In the city, Gilda was startled by the sound of the explosion, she turned around and noticed that the huge explosion was at the place where she laid her eggs which made her eyes widen in fear. She then abandoned the battle and ran to her nest to see if her hatchlings
Once the two griffons made it to the nest, Gilda lowered her head to see if her hatchlings were okay. But, it was too late, her eggs were all burned to blown to bits and liquids of the eggs were seen streaming in the hole. The sight has made the griffon screech in depression due to the loss of her hatchlings.
Near the entrance of Chinatown, Matthew was seen trying to crawl away from the Equestrian after being hit by the explosion, but, when he got to a pillar, small debris hit the ground which attracted Gilda's attention. The female griffon lifted her head up and saw an armoured bipedal being sitting against a pillar with an injured expression, she must assume that it was him who killed her hatchlings.
Matthew was looking at the griffon with a slightly fearful expression on him, but then, something else caught his attention. He looked to his left and saw a green glow which made him baffled.
Gilda looked to where the being was looking at and she saw a green glow flowing up against an insect looking mane with the sounds of charging in the process, the green glow then began to flow up to the purple shells of the creature which changed their colours, once the glow got to the creature's deer looking horns which surrounded the outside of them, Gilda noticed that the glow belonged to her opponent.
When Thorax fully charged up his powers, his eyes began to glow in a green colour and his horn began to charge up too. A brief second later, a magic beam was shot out of his horn which immediately hit Gilda in the chest, the force of the magic was also pushing her back.
In a street where the soldiers were lifting the bomb, one of the soldier guiding his comrades heard some loud noises behind him, he turned around and saw the changeling Thorax firing magic at Gilda. The sight has astonished him completely.
"Holy crap! Did you guys see that?"
Thorax was seen blasting Gilda with his magic against a building, and the griffon let out a screech of agony when the powerful magic collided into her.
When Matthew noticed that the griffon was injured, he took his chance to run away so, he pushed himself up from the ground and started to run away to the docks where he will met up with his team.
Thorax then ceased his magic attack so that he could catch his breathe from using his magical power. After ten seconds, Thorax gained most of his strength back so, he prepared to charge up his magic and fire it again but suddenly, Gallus flew up behind him and smacked him in the back with his head which made the changeling roar in anger. Thorax then turned around and looked at Gallus with an angry expression, they then started to fight again.
Back in the city, the soldiers have successfully moved the bomb out of the city while avoiding the confrontation between the three Equestrians in the process. Now, they were in the docks.
"This way come on!" The sergeant yelled as he and his colleagues began to run to a boat.
"Hurry! Hurry!"
Ten seconds later, the soldiers have all reached to a boat.
"Let's get this boat started."
The sergeant got into the cockpit of the boat, and one of the soldiers with him began to connect the wires in a box so that they could get this thing moving. After connecting three wires together, the lights on the boat have all turned on along with the engines which made the soldier smile.
However, the action has attracted Gilda's attention too. She then stood up from the ground and looked to her left to the source of the radiation, when she did, she saw lights on a boat. The griffon then let out a screech and started to run towards the boat.
"Oh no, Gilda's coming for the bomb!" A soldier warned as his colleagues gently placed the bomb on the boat.
"Let get this thing secured then."
Back in the city, Thorax and Gallus was seen battling against each other. The blue griffon flew towards the green changeling and grabbed onto his neck which made the changeling spin around in the process. He was going to bite him on the neck again but this time, Thorax was not going to let it happen, he turned his head around and bit onto the right claw of the griffon which made it screech in return. After that, he spun around and threw him away but, Gallus managed to prevent himself from falling onto the ground by flying.
Gallus flew back a couple of meters before doing a loop, now, he was heading back towards Thorax with an angry expression.
When Thorax noticed the griffon flying towards him again, he steadied himself and began to time his attack. Once Gallus got to him, he opened his beak and attempted to bite onto his neck again but, Thorax dodged by side stepping to his left, then, he kicked the griffon into a building. The impact has created a large hole in the building, and it's parts pierced through Gallus's neck, a brief second later, the griffon closed his eyes and he was killed.
However, the impact has also caused the building to collapse onto Thorax which made him fall to the ground where Matthew was running in front of him.
When Matthew heard the loud collapsing noise, he turned around and saw Thorax lying on the ground while looking at him with a frail expression. A brief second later, dusts from the fallen building has covered his face, and all Matthew could hear was his growl.
The EOD officer then looked back in front of him and began to run to the docks so that he could catch up to his colleagues.
After running through the street for a minute, Matthew has made it to the docks and it was absolute chaos. Gilda was seen walking towards a boat where three of his comrades were shooting at her face with their assault rifles but, it did not even faze her. Then, Gilda lifted her right leg up and slashed the boat's top deck with her right claw, breaking it in the process as well as murdering the soldier.
Once that was out of the way, Gilda made her way to the bomb, but then, a rocket collided on her beak which made her growl in pain a little. The larger griffon turned to her left and saw a group of soldiers shooting her with their weapons which made her intensely aggravated and angry. So, she walked up to the dock where the soldiers were standing, once she got to them, she opened her beak and brought her head down to the soldiers, murdering them in the process.
Matthew wasted no time and started to run to the boat while the remaining of his team continued to shoot her. Ten seconds later, the EOD officer has made it to the boat, he jumped into it and looked at the bombs time panel and saw that there were only 10 minutes and 37 seconds remaining which made his eyes widen in horror. So, he decided to get the nuke's cover open.
"Come on! Come on!" He exclaimed while pushing it, but the cover did not even budge.
Matthew then let out a grunt and turned around to run the steering wheel of the boat. When he got to it, he pushed a lever forward and rapped on a screen to set the boat on auto drive. Once he's accomplished all of that, he walked to the end of the boat, grabbed a metal pole and placed the edge of it against the deck.
"Come on!" Matthew exclaimed while pushing the rod. A brief second later, the officer has successfully pushed the boat away from the docks with the pole which made him fall on the ground. After that, the boat started to drive.
When Matthew accomplished all of those, he lied on the back of the boat and began to take a few breathes after the deranged mission. But suddenly, the engines of the boat has stopped, following up with the sounds water splashing. Matthew looked up and saw the griffon Gilda staring down at him with an angry expression due to her remembering the soldier.
Matthew then reached for his holster with his right hand and grabbed his pistol. After that, he aimed it at the her with a glare.
Gilda then leaned her head down towards the soldier with her beak open in preparation to eat him but suddenly, something has bit onto the back of her neck, and Matthew was perplexed by her stop.
Behind her was Thorax who has risen up from the collapsed building and caught up to the griffon. The changeling then released his grip on the Griffon's neck and opened her beak with his hooves, after that, he began to charge up his magic again.
Gilda was during her best to break free of the changeling's grip but, it was too late, Thorax has finished charging up his powers and he blasted a long bright powerful green beam of magic from his horn into her mouth. After ten seconds of magic blasting, Gilda's head was decapitated from her entire body and was now in Thorax's right hoof.
Once Thorax has killed Gilda, he turned around and let out a roar as he claimed victory while Gilda's headless body sank into the ocean. After the intense battle, Thorax dropped the head of Gilda into the water and walked back into the city.
Matthew looked forward in front of him and saw Thorax making his way back to San Francisco while staggering in a pained way. Once he made it there, he collapsed into the ground.
The death of Gilda has restored energy around the city as well as the boat, then, the boat started to move away from the city again.
Matthew lied on the ground again in exhaustion from the entire ordeal. That sure was a hazardous and petrifying mission that he embarked on along with his colleagues. A brief second later, the EOD officer noticed that the boat has crossed the broken golden gate bridge which indicates that his mission was accomplished which made him smile due to the city finally safe from the hazard. Then, the soldier closed his eyes and awaited for his death.
However, there was no death for the EOD officer today as a bright light shined against his face, following up with the sound of a helicopter whirling.
Matthew slowly opened his eyes and saw a folding basket stretcher with a soldier next to it coming down to him. Once the soldier got to him, he grabbed the wounded EOD officer and put him on the stretcher, he strapped him onto it and gave the signal to his colleague to pull him up to the helicopter which the military officer responded to.
Then, the soldier began to pull the injured soldier and his colleagues up from the boat and into the helicopter. Ten seconds later, the soldier has made it up to the helicopter and he placed Matthew in it.
In the helicopter, Matthew looked behind him towards the boat that was driving the bomb away, it was now at least 5 kilometers away from San Francisco. A brief second later, it exploded, releasing a bright white glow which made him shield his eyes.

San Francisco 8:30am
It was a bright sunny day in San Francisco, seagulls were seen flying in the sky above the devastated city after a conflict between three Equestrians that occured yesterday. Now, San Francisco firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and US military personnels were seen trying to look for survivors in the demolished city. One of the firefighter's walked up a debris piled hill so that he could move out of the dusts, once he was out, he looked in front of him and saw a giant green insect with deer horns, and a unicorn horn lying down on his torso with his eyes closed, while soldiers, paramedics, other firefighters, and police officers moving debris in front of the creature, desperately looking for survivors.
In town, a football stadium has been used as a medical camp for incoming survivors found by fire services and soldiers so that they can reunite with their families. In the entrance of the stadium was Matthew Cade carrying his son while walking into the camp using an underarm crutch with his right hand.
Once they were in the stadium, Matthew scrutinized the area and saw that it was very crowded with people and doctors and nurses treating the wounded. The EOD officer scrutinized his surroundings once more to see if his wife was here or not, but, she was nowhere to be found.
"We'll be safe here Kyle." Matthew assured his son.
Back in the demolished city, emergency responders and the military was seen still looking for survivors buried in the debris. Then, a firefighter heard a noise.
"Quiet!" He shouted.
A brief second later, some sounds can be heard underneath them.
"I hear people!"
Then, five firefighters removed the building debris to get to the survivors. Three seconds later, they saw a man trapped underneath.
"This one's in bad shape." The fireman told him, then, he stretched his right arm towards him "Come on buddy I got ya." He Rd him as he grabbed the man's hand and started to pull him up.
Back in the stadium, Matthew and Kyle were seen sitting on a rectangular box near the entrance of the place waiting anxiously for Melissa, then, a brief second later, a person speaker through the speakers of the stadium by using a microphone.
"Attention, new arrivals." The man said "Please proceed to the marked table for registration." He told the new arrivals.
Matthew and Kyle stood up and looked at the entrance and saw two firefighters and two doctors bringing a group of people into the stadium. Then, a man walked up to one of the groups.
"Olivia!" The man exclaimed running up to them. Then, he and his family hugged each other in a comforting and relieved way.
Matthew looked through the crowd to see if his wife was within the group but, she wasn't there. This has made the EOD officer including his son extremely concerned.
In the demolished city, Dr. Toshihiro and his wife Satomi were seen standing on a pile of debris in the devastated city while looking at the face of the sleeping Equestrian Thorax in front of them which shocked expressions due to it's fight with Gallus and Gilda.
In an area near Thorax's face, firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and military personnels were seen moving building debris to look for survivors but suddenly, Thorax's breathed through his nostrils which attracted their attentions. A brief second later, the changeling opened his eyes and saw lots of humans staring at him, some very terrified but, he had no intentions of harming any of them due to him only arriving to their city to put a stop to the two griffons and restore balance.
Back in the stadium, Matthew and Kyle were seen resting on a bed while Matthew had his head on his son's head and his right arm wrapped around his waist. A brief second later, Kyle saw someone in front of him which made his eyes widen, he then broke free of his father's grip and started to run to the person, waking up his father in the process.
"Kyle."
Matthew looked to where Kyle was running to, when he did, his eyes widened when he saw his wife walking through the stadium, then, he grabbed his underarm crutch and started to make his way to his wife as fast as he could.
When Melissa noticed her son running up to him, she picked up her pace and started to run towards him while crying in happiness.
"Mommy! Mommy!"
When the two got to each other, Melissa bent down and pulled her son in for a hug.
"Kyle. My baby."
Melissa then looked up in front of her and saw her husband standing in front of her with an underarm crutch in his right hand, the sight has shocked her. Melissa and Kyle then released each other from the hug and Matthew walked up to his wife.
"Matthew."
Then, the couple have each other a kiss to their lips. A brief second later, they both released and hugged each other. The family was so relieved to see that they were okay, they were also contented to have reunited with each other.
However, a brief second later, the family heard the crowd cheering and whistling which made the couple release from their hug in confusion, they then saw the crowd of people looking up at something. The family looked to where the people were watching and saw a giant TV with a news channel displaying a video of Thorax walking through the city with the titles 'Insect monster saviour of our city?'
In the city, Thorax was seen walking through a street in the demolished San Francisco to the ocean where he will swim back to his home, while walking, he was being very cautious in not to trip over any buildings that would lead to injuring more citizens.
Behind the giant changeling were people looking at him with shocked expressions except for two in particular who were Toshihiro and Satomi. The couple were staring at Thorax while smiling due to him saving them from the griffons and leaving them alone, this goes to show that he is not an evil animal. He is a hero.
Once Thorax was in the Bay Area, he let out a roar before going into the ocean. He then took a few steps forward and stepped into the ocean. A brief second later, the changeling lied down onto the water and began to swim away from the city to head back home, and people could still see it's horns and back sticking out of the clean.
When Thorax swam well away from the city, he dived down deeper into the water and disappeared.
