Prequel: The Epilogue
To say Princess Twilight Sparkle was an important pony would be an understatement, she’s ruled all of Equestria single hoofed for hundreds of thousands years, after her accretion to the throne later learned how to raise and lower the sun and moon with only her own magic. Her first hundred or so years were arguably the most glorious years in equestrian history as in that time the now legendary counsel of friendship helped the Princess during her rule. History books spoke of 5 different ponies whose names were lost to all but a few who actually knew them, but the details to describe each of them were unmistakable.
First their was the most honest pony to this very day, an Orange Earth Pony who worked at Sweet Apple acres which now was a natural landmark as the longest living apple farm as all others never did survive except for this one somehow.
Next was the most generous pony to date, a pure Wight Unicorn, something practically nonexistent nowadays, who started many a fashion trends that somehow survived to this day, the mare was truly ahead of her time.
There was also the kindest pony to date, a somewhat timid at first glance Yellow Pegasus with a love for animals so strong she built Equestria’s first ever animal sanctuary, no pony was willing to try and copy her work so the sanctuary was instead expanded and now replaced the once dangerous Everfree forest were now creatures from all around gather to take care of the once dangerous flora and fauna that live there, even the once feared Ursa Majors and Timberwolfs were being watched over and protected there.
And you couldn’t think about the Counsel of Friendship without mentioning the most mysterious pony to exist, she was also known at the most funny pony to date, a seemingly normal Pink Earth Pony that seemed to defy reality, countless scientists, historians, and philosophers are still trying to figure out the secret behind the bizarreness that was this pony from all the stories about her even though the princess herself told them on countless occasions it was a loss cause.
And last but definitely not least was the fastest pony ever, a Cyan Pegasus with a Rainbow main she was also known as the most loyal pony to this day but she was also famous for being the first and last pony in all of Equestria to pull off the once again legendary sonic rainboom to this date.
Unfortunately not everypony can live forever, as they all passed on one by one, Princess Twilight attended the funeral’s of each of her friends, and even the funeral’s of her friend’s children, and there grandchildren. Every time a member of the Council of Friendship couldn’t go on anymore the Princess made that ponies birthday a national holiday of Equestria, she originally wanted to name those days after her friends, but they didn’t want that, so they came to a compromise and thus the days of Honesty, Loyalty, Generosity, Kindness, and Laughter were born.
Truth day was a day where the princess cast a spell that made it completely impossible to lie on this day, some feared it, at first but now it’s like a second Hearts and Hoofs day where creatures tell their true feelings for each other.
The day of Loyalty was like a sorta yearly Olympics were creatures teamed up all across Equestria for friendly competition.
Gift day encourages the creatures of Equestria to give a gift to some other creature, every creature loves this holiday as it feels like a second Heart’s warming.
Equestria Fools day, kinda self explanatory but the creatures of Equestria play silly jokes on each other.
Kind day was a day where where every creature was encouraged, but not required, to visit the sanctuary of Equestria.
Many millennium‘s have passed, the Princess of Friendship took on an occasional student, she got to watch them grow into a fine creature, she didn’t just let ponies be her students, in addition she was proud to see when she got even the most socially awkward of creatures to make some friends, the town of Ponyvill, latter renamed the Village of Friendship was the one place in Equestria that no matter who or what you were any creatures could make friends. The princess’s legendary school of Friendship was still somehow going strong even after all these years, the creatures of Equestria just love to come back to this school after they graduate to teach the next generation about Friendship.
You may have noticed the saying of creature a lot, that’s because Equestria welcomes every creature to there borders, wether they be scaled, slimy, furry, feathered, good, evil, or somewhere in between every creature was welcome to Equestria. If you studied equestrian history you might know of the incident right before the princess’s accession to the throne the lead to the three biggest villains in Equestria to be turned to stone, well eventually they escaped but the princess was ready, but rather than fight them, she was able to befriend them. Cozy Glow was easy because her stone prison traumatized the pore filly she was more that willing to listen, as for the other two. Princess Twilight was able to convince Queen Chrysalis the truth of sharing love rather than taking it made Changeling’s stronger, Lord Tirek was the most difficult to convince, the Princess took a whole thousand years to win this debate but it was worth it in the end as they came to a compromise, when the creatures of Equestria got old and or sick Tirek could end their suffering by sucking out their life force, the process was very quick and painless and Tirek got the magic he craved.
During the time that was forever known to equestrian history as The Great Debate, Twilight’s Royal adviser, Spike was in charge. Which finally lead back to the current day, Princess Twilight Sparkle had just gotten back from a funeral. This funeral hurt more than any other she had attended before, she had even barred this one herself, with only her hoofs and no magic. She hoof dug the grave, put the lifeless corpse in the grave and covered it again with her hoofs, and finally, with no magic she carved a hedge stone for the grave. She didn’t care it wasn’t regal or how dirty she had gotten in this afar, as every stain of dirt, every time she cut herself and didn’t heal herself with her magic, every drop of sweat was all for the one she cared about.
When she was finally done it didn’t look very good but she didn’t want any help, Magic or otherwise, this was something she had to do herself without magic so at the end their was a big lumpy field worth of dirt just behind her castle, on the stone was a crudely written message that read

It had taken months to complete the funeral but she had done the same for each and every one of her friends and even though Spike hade grown to be twice the size of ex dragon Lord Torch had been she still did it.
The Princess of Friendship didn’t clean herself, no, this had been a ritual for her, every stained patch of fur she shaved off and regrew it with magic, she always kept the stained fur, it was like a final tribute to her friends who passed but for now Twilight would morn for Spike.
Princess Twilight Sparkle asked “Discord? What are you doing here? I thought you decided to go to another dimension where the Element of Kindness was an Alicorn.” She couldn’t say the true names, it was too painful, so she referred to them as there represented Elements of Harmony. Discord knew about this, it was actually one of the reasons that only the ones who once knew the Element welders knew their true names and Discord agreed to do this as well as long as he was in this dimension, so Discord had left her dimension on the day the Element of Kindness departed from the living realm in search of an alternative dimension where he could actually spend eternity with the only creature he ever loved or ever could love, Twilight fully supported his decision to leave.
Discord said “I did, found to perfect dimension, the Discord of that dimension is even willing to share her, I actually came to give you a gift, in case you didn’t know or just lost track, today is your one millionth birthday.” The Princess pondered for a moment, checking her mental calendar she eventually realized that Discord was right, today she was 1,000,000 years old, she herself forgot how old she was. Discord continued “Now nationally because I am me I’d want to get you the best gift ever for this special occasion.” The Princess of Friendship playfully rolled her eyes, the more things change the more they stay the same she supposed, Discord was very unpredictable but this was honestly something she expected that the Chaotic Draconequus would do. Discord continued “It was of course difficult to think of something good enough, because what do you get the greatest living mare In Equestria? I’d say greatest but no matter what you’ll never top the Element of Kindness in my book, but I’m getting off topic, anyway after long and hard thought I finally figured it out, I’m sure you’ll appreciate this opportunity.”
Princess Twilight asked “What did you have in mind?”
Discord laughed at the question and said “Oh I could tell you, but where would the fun in that be?”
Princess Twilight chuckled and said “Alright, I’ve been feeling a little bit down, maybe dealing with some chaos would be a nice distraction.”
Discord shook his head and said said “Oh, not this time, that’s a regular thing with me, I wouldn’t be the lord of chaos if I was predictable now would I?”
Princess Twilight was actually looking forward to what was coming next, she knew Discord and was ready for anything, except apparently what was coming next. Discord snapped his fingers and the Princess of Friendship disappeared, after witch Discord said “Now let’s see how she likes my gift.” He then snapped his fingers and a tv appeared before him so he could watch how the princess appreciates the gift. Discord looked at the audience and chuckled “I’m gonna need some popcorn.”

Nightmare Moon took the stage, cruel cold laughter echoed through the building. The small crowd stunned into silence as they realized this ebony monster had seemingly replaced their beloved solar princess. A moment passed before the members of Princess Celestia's guard sprung into action, a pair of white Pegasi in gleaming golden armor charged for the stage. At the same time the stairs down from the stage were blocked by unicorn and earth pony guards. Above the gasps of the crowd a single voice could be heard, barking orders to his men "Block her escape! She must know where the Princess is!"
The Pegasi guards charged at Nightmare Moon but the Alicorn yelled “Stand back you foal!” The Pegasi guards were swiftly defeated with some lightning that Nightmare Moon summoned
Rainbow Dash yelled “What did you do to our Princess?!”
Rainbow tried to charge at the dark Nightmare Moon but Applejack caught her by her tail and kept her grounded and at the same time Pinkie Pie gave some admittedly humorous guesses to the evil Alicorns name until Applejack shut her up by shoving a cupcake in her mouth
The dark Alicorn first went up to Fluttershy and asked “What am I not Royal enough for you? Dose my crown no longer count now that I’ve been imprisoned for 1000 years?” She then went up to Rarity and asked “Did you not recall the legend? Did none of you see the signs?”
This was when Twilight finally spoke up spoke up “I know exactly who you are. Your the Mare in the Moon, Nightmare Moon!”
Nightmare Moon grinned and said “Ah Somepony who remembers me, then you must also know why I am here!”
Without hesitation Twilight called out “Your here to block out the sun and cause nighttime eternal.”
The ponyvill citizens gasped in shock and Nightmare Moon said “Correct little filly, you know your actually the first not to show fear towards myself. Why?”
Twilight lied “Oh I’m actually terrified but not showing it, if you’ll please excuse me I would like to run for my life now.” Before Nightmare Moon could even comprehend what Twilight said she ran away as fast as possible. She could have easily teleported but Nightmare Moon didn’t know that, and Twilight wanted her “new” friends to follow her.
They got to the library and Twilight let Pinkie find the book even though she didn’t really need it herself it helped convinced her friends to go with her to the Everfree forest to find the Elements of Harmony, Twilight didn’t really need those either, she was fully confident that when it was just her and Nightmare Moon, Twilight could convince her to stop her rain of terror, and she had more than enough magical strength to defeat Nightmare Moon by herself if she had to. The elements where just the philosophical embodiments that the welders used, they would learn these traits and eventually lead to them being able to use the power of the elements even with no more elements, but right now her friends would need them even if they themselves didn’t know this fact yet.
They went to throw the Everfree Forest with the same obstacles as the first time, Applejack “saving” Twilight from falling off a cliff, Fluttershy calming an angry manticore, Pinkie Pie singing laughing in the face of fear, Rarity giving up her tail to Steven Magnet the Sea Serpent, and Rainbow not giving in to her own heart’s desires in order to help her friends. They finally made it to the old Castle of the two sisters where they found the Elements and Twilight got her friends to leave, Twilight knew what was coming next but had a completely Different plan from the first time.
As soon as Twilight and Nightmare Moon were alone in the tower where she would eventually be defeated Twilight said “Finally, I’ve been waiting for a chance to speak with you one on one.”
Nightmare Moon looked surprised so Twilight explained “I was never afraid of you, that was just a logical ruse to set you up, all those obstacles, I knew it was you, it helped make sure we didn’t lose our way, you wanted to keep me and my new friends away from finding the elements so I knew that we were going in the right direction, otherwise you wouldn’t have cared, and you won’t hurt me, you could have this whole time but you haven’t yet.”
That part wasn’t completely true, Twilight wasn’t in any danger even if Nightmare Moon attacked with all her strength, but Nightmare Moon didn’t know that so Twilight continued “Now that I have you right where I want you we can finally sit down and talk.”
Nightmare Moon scenically asked “Talk?”
Twilight lied “I know that if I try and fight you I’ll lose, you already have Dquestria at your hooves, and the only thing that could’ve stopped you don’t even work anymore, but I think I can convince you to stop all of this.”
Nightmare Moon got angrier and asked “Why world I listen to a single word you have to say?”
Twilight said “You don’t have to, you already won, I am but a Unicorn, compared to you? I wouldn’t last two seconds if we fought.” The opposite was actually true but only Twilight knew that so she continued “You already have caused eternal night, what’s a few short minutes of me only trying to convince you to stop your eternal night? I probably won’t make any difference, but it can’t hurt to let me try.” Twilight had her now, villains always complied when they think they have all the power in a situation
As if to prove her correct Nightmare Moon agreed to at least give her a chance to speak. Twilight began “Well first of all, present times are vastly different than during your banishment 1000 years ago, somepony’s work and play during the night, and their are even some nocturnal ponies who sleep during the daytime and stay awake all throughout the night.”
Nightmare Moon seemed surprised by this so she asked “How is something like that even possible?”
Twilight answered “It started with ponies who liked the idea of danger so they would go out at night and eventually would lead to ponies appreciate it you’re night sky much more than in the past which leads me to my second point, ponies simply cannot survive eternal night.”
Nightmare Moon got angry at that statement and protested “You lye!”
Twilight asked “What benefit could I possibly gain from lying to you? An all powerful Alicorn that is possibly stronger than Celesta who most ponies see as a god, some ponies think she is untouchable and yet the fact that she hasn’t shown for leads me to the conclusion that you two fought and you were able to beat her, in conclusion if I were to lye to you and you found out I was lying I’d be in real danger.” Technically she wasn’t lying, about the part with how ponies couldn’t survive eternal night but that was about it.
Nightmare Moon starred at Twilight for a moment to study her reaction until eventually she declared “Fine, enlighten me on how the sun is essential.”
Twilight nodded and said “first of all the sun provides heat and nutrients, without the sun is normal pony’s would freeze and their world also be a shortage of food, you’d be the ruler of a barren world and you don’t want that.”
Nightmare Moon was shocked by this, she had obviously not thought about that like Twilight predicted so she continued “As for my final point, I know more about you than I originally said I did.”
Nightmare Moon asked “Oh? What else could there be to know about me?”
Twilight answered “A few things, I only mentioned the part about you being the mare in the moon, also known as Nightmare Moon where everyone could hear me but I know you have another identity that most don’t know, you are the Princess of the night” Nightmare Moon looked shocked at being called by that title again but Twilight continued “The ruler of the dream realm” That part confused Nightmare Moon, she was originally under the impression that no pony knew about her job or the importance it had but she couldn’t dwell on this as Twilight wasn’t done talking and nothing could prepare her for what she said next “You are the little sister of Princess Celesta, but most importantly of all, you are Princess Luna.”
Nightmare Moon recoiled as twilight uttered her true name, the air of cool malice she had been giving off replaced by visible shock. A moment of silence hung in the air after Twilight spoke, finally giving way to Nightmare Moon's voice barely louder than a whisper "h-how do you know that name?"
The real answer was now she was using her future knowledge to her advantage but instead Twilight answered “It’s easy, I’m well read so when I came across the name Princess Luna in one of my books something didn’t make a lot of since, but they are making more since, for one thing according to the book I read Princess Luna has equal power to that of Celesta’s, this is the castle of the 2 sisters after all.”
Now Nightmare moon had tears in her eyes thinking about the time she still did use that name. Twilight said “In conclusion you don’t have to do this, pony’s already love your night, I know I do, and nopony will survive if you continue this, only you can end this, Princess Luna and you and I both know that you do.”
Nightmare Moon yelled “Yes, I do want to stop this! I want to lower the moon to save my little ponies! I do not need to be Nightmare Moon anymore for I am Princess Luna!”
That was the final peace needed, Twilight knew that Princess Luna was somewhere inside Nightmare Moon and her speech helped draw her out and Twilight expected that Luna would just transform back from Nightmare Moon until something that not even Twilight could’ve anticipated happened.
The two separated and as that happened, her friends suddenly rushed in to see the two separate, Princess Luna was about the same size as Twilight currently was, Dark blue fur, and a light blue main that looked normal as opposed to the magical flowing hair. Of course Princess Luna was still an Alicorn. Then their was Nightmare Moon who was basically now a living shadow wearing the armor of Nightmare Moon.
Twilight said “I did not know this was possible but good thing we have the elements of Harmony! They were the original plan now their the backup plan to the backup plan.” She was actually surprised and almost afraid now but she could work around this new development.
Nightmare Moon shouted “You forget one major detail I have your precious elements!” Nightmare Moon then shattered the stones
Twilight’s friends gasped in shock and the now weakened form of Princess Luna weakly cried out “Noooooo.”
Twilight started chuckling, the and then she had a soft laugh which eventually escalated into full blown laughter and Twilight said “Thank you!”
Pinkie Pie yelped “Oh no she’s gone crazy!”
Oh how right Pinkie was, being Immortal did cause Twilight to go mad but then eventually she became bored and became the most well put together pony in existence so she protested “Not yet! I needed Nightmare Moon to destroy those as the elements were trapped within stone so by shattering them she helped reactive them, now all we need are the right ponies to connect to the Elements of Harmony, and the ponies I need are right here!”
It’s been a long time since she said these words so she hoped it was close enough and said “Applejack, who reassured me when I was in doubt represent’s the Element of Honesty! Fluttershy who tamed a savage beast with her companion represents the Element of Kindness! Pinkie Pie who taught us to laugh in the face of danger represents the Element of Laughter! Rarity who quelled the sea serpent with a meaningful gift represents the Element of Generosity! And Rainbow Dash, who wouldn’t give into her own heart’s desires to help her friends represents the Element of Loyalty!”
As she was naming off the element representatives the shards of said element flouted around that pony and Twilight continued “And in case you think you’ve won because theirs no 6th element, well you’re wrong, because the 6th element is the one that brings the other 5 elements together, that spark ignites to create the most powerful element of all, by bringing the element welders together I represent the Element of Magic!”
The Element of Magic left its hidden placement and showed itself and the other elements turned themselves into the Elemental necklace's as Twilight liked to call them, and to her surprise, the Element of Magic became the form it was in when she wore it as her Princess Crown but that part honestly didn’t bother Twilight so she finished “The 6 of us together create the most powerful Magic of all! The Magic of Friendship!” The Elements each fired off colorful lasers which combined together to create a rainbow that headed towards Nightmare Moon. The only thing that remained after the blast was the armor of Nightmare Moon.
Twilight’s friends talk about what just happened and how crazy it was and Twilight helped Princess Luna to her feet, once the Princess in standing Princess Celesta comes in and explains basically what Twilight knew about Nightmare Moon. The two sisters have a small reunion and after that they all were about to leave when suddenly they heard a tiny sneeze coming from the armor.
Twilight decided to investigate and the first thing she did was lift up the help and underneath their was the source, a black foal with a purple main and tail, the weirdest part was this foal had both wings and a horn, making it an alicorn. Before anypony could even comprehend what was going on the foal looked at Twilight and cutely asked “Mama?”
Twilight cooed at the cute little foul and picked it up hugging it tightly, she had no idea what to do next, this was also different from her timeline, at least the Nightmare Moon separation thing was at least close enough to the timeline she knew where the Elements of Harmony would be the answer but this? This Twilight couldn’t make since of.
Princess Celesta walked up to Twilight and said “Twilight Sparkle, I think I know what’s going on, that foal is all that is left of Nightmare Moon, we need to get rid of it or else it could grow up and finish the job, now if you hand her over I can-“ The current Princess of Equestria was cut off when a sudden magical blast hit her and blasted her back right into a wall. The origin of the blast? Twilight’s smoking horn was a good hint. Twilight’s friends gasped in shock that Twilight just hurt their Princess, until the Princess said “Already you have the strength and will power of a mother protecting their young, I’ve actually heard about this, when a unicorn mother is protecting their young from being taken away, their magic power increases by 10 times, but Twilight’s felt more like 1000, most likely because she is the Element of Magic.” That was incorrect, that was only a single 100th of Twilight’s true magic strength, but Princess Celesta didn’t need to know that.
Princess Celesta continued “In light of that I have a new idea, Twilight Sparkle, you have the chance to stay in ponyvill to not only take care of your new daughter but also study the Magic of Friendship, I will expect reports on your progress however.”
They all got back to Ponyvill so they could celebrate the reunion of the two sister Princess’s. This time Twilight got Pinkie Pie to somehow get Menuette, Lemon Heart, Twinkleshine, Lyra Heartstrings, and Moondancer to Ponyvill in time for the Party, as Twilight honestly would’ve expected, and Pinkie went above and beyond to even got her parents, Twilight Velvet and Night Light and even her older brother, Shining Armor.
Her parents and brother all yelled “Twily!” And hugged her so hard that she never appreciated immortality so much in all her life because of the simple fact, she didn’t need air as an Alicorn, it was really nice to be able to be with them once more.
Shining Armor then saw the foal and got a bit more strict and asked “Who’s this?”
Twilight answered “Oh she’s my new ADOPTED daughter.” She made absolute sure to put emphasis on the word adopted and continued “I’m gonna call her Moonlight Sparkle.”

Sorry that this chapter took so long, I hit a writer’s block but now I’m good, okay this is my first ever original episode, I really hope you like it, I know for a fact it’s bad so if you have notes on how to make a better original episode, please leave a comment I appreciate constructive criticism, their will be a single original episode per season, and I’m going for all 9 seasons, also one last thing, I have no idea what to call this chapter, if you have any ideas please leave a comment, without further ado I’ve rambled on enough so here’s the chapter
Chapter 4
Twilight Sparkle woke up to a usual site, had woken up in the Royal bed chambers, looking in the mirror she saw her much taller self, with the large wings and the flowing main she remembered. The Princess sighed in sadness, it all felt so real, she even felt pain but it was most likely just another part of the dream, it was fine though. She looked up at the moon and was vastly surprised when a pony came through it, it was Princess Luna in all her radiant beauty, Celesta of course was a great pony but Twilight would not forget or forgive what she had done. What really surprised Twilight was she was wearing her crown, Celesta and Luna of course had copies of their original crowns but only wear them on special occasions.
Twilight exclaimed “Luna, it’s a pleasure to see you again, is Celesta here?”
Luna looked slightly confused but answered “Not unless you wish her to be here as this is a very peculiar dream.”
Dream? Is this really all a dream? Is she really back in time? These questions swam around in Twilight’s mind before finally deciding to test weather or not if this really was a dream, she made herself a normal Unicorn, low and behold it worked so this definitely was a dream.
Twilight decided to play innocent and commented “Right this is clearly all a dream, which would explain why I looked like that.” She gave a forced laugh that sounded convincing, ruling for that long can do that to you but then realized something, because this was a dream, and she knew it was a dream, that meant she could do anything she wanted within reason, even though Twilight dose govern the dream realm after Luna retired Twilight would let Luna think she had all the power in the dream realm for now, but because this was Twilight’s dream there were no limits. So without thinking Twilight did the one thing she couldn’t do in the future waking realm she brought the main 6 to her royal chamber all as Alicorn’s.
Princess Luna was impressed for a moment at how Twilight used the fact she now knew it was a dream to her advantage to create a new dream as most ponies just woke up shortly after being told that they were dreaming, which spoke value over Twilight’s mental composition
Twilight looked over to her friends and realized something before stating “Wait, Pinkie Pie, as an Alicorn? Well now I know what my nightmare tomorrow night will look like, and Luna for your own sanity I advice not helping with that.”
Luna asked “Twilight, are we friends? Most ponies only ever see us as a Princess, do not get us wrong, we like the change but even now, at the party your friend Pinkie Pie through, no pony used just our name which leaves us confused.”
Oh right, Twilight got so used to speaking to the Princess’s on a personal level that she forgot for a moment that she was a citizen speaking casually to what some ponies concerned a goddess, or a demonic entity depending on the view point, Twilight desperately wished for a distraction as she couldn’t think of a clever way out, and low and behold the wanted distraction comes in, in the form of Discord, hay slightly unethical but she’ll take what she can get.
Princess Luna completely forgetting her previous conversation with Twilight and got in between herself and Discord and said “Of corse now I see why this nightmare pulled us towards it, now I know what’s really going on here as I’ve seen this before, Twilight Sparkle knows about Discord and fears him, so her subconscious created a nightmare version of him.”
Princess Luna charged up her horn but Discord did something Luna didn’t expect, he put his paw and claw up in surrender, this was vary confusing behavior for a nightmare so it confused Luna so much so her horn stopped glowing
Discord then explained “Your not completely off dear Lulu, their are a few kea things you missed, for example I’m no mere nightmares I’m the real lord of chaos, do not distress, my body is still acting as a lawn ornament, also I have no power here, remember the dream realm is your domain.” Now that Discord had told the truth now he now lied “As for the reason why I am here, well I have a semi connection to the elements of Harmony as I am basically their opposite, and once I synced it was Twilight’s destiny to become the Element of Magic, well I entered her mind to try and bend her to my will.” The next part wold be the truth but Discord being, well Discord, he joked “But she has mental defenses equivalent to that of a fortress, it’s almost as if she’s went mad but eventually got bored of being mad so decided to become the most well put together pony ever, but that’s impossible would take hundreds upon thousands of years, but that’s probably not it.”
Twilight rolled her eyes playfully and decided, as long as she was dreaming, might as well make it daytime in her dream
That time was cut short however when She felt something crawl up onto her face, as she opened her eyes it was none other than Moonlight Sparkle, her newly adopted daughter, she had light blue vest a round her body so no pony could see her wings, Twilight could’ve just used that same Illusion memory wipe combo she used back in Canterlot but she wasn’t thinking straight at the time, and even if she still wanted to it was too late now, the spell she used only worked on short term memories, she did know a more powerful version, but she didn’t want to use that, the version she originally used was a memory blocker meaning that the memories were still their and could be unlocked at any time but only when Twilight want’s, the other spell was basically a spell version of the memory stone but that had problems she didn’t even want to think about, so she and her friends came up with a creative solution, Rarity would make outfits for the foul to help hide her wings and Princess Celesta would let Twilight keep her as long as Twilight kept her up to date on the little one, this was mandatory weekly but Twilight could handle that, the incident known only as lesson zero would not happen again, mark her words! Or in this case thoughts. Twilight was still very much angry at Celesta but thanks to ruling equestria for a long time she had a few methods to deal with it.
Spike suddenly came into her room and yelled “Twilight, the Princess just sent a letter!”
Twilight still half asleep groaned “Read it to me please.”
Spike did so and read “My faithful Student Twilight, please come to Canterlot as soon as possible it is a matter of great importance.”
That got Twilight fully awake, the Celesta never sent messages that cryptic, she got out of bed, did a double check with a side glance to make sure the Illusion spell was active, it was, then she placed Moonlight Sparkle on her back while being carful not to wake her and immediately teleported straight to Canterlot.
Princess Celesta was pacing worried in her throne room thinking of an explanation to the problem she had when suddenly their was a pink glow in the middle of the room and suddenly without warning Twilight Sparkle appeared
Twilight smirked and commented “That wasn’t nearly as hard as I remember it being.”
Princess Celesta smiled and stated “Twilight, it’s good to see you again.”
Twilight fake smiled and replied “It’s only been a day.”
Princess Celesta then stated “I know, but that’s not why I called you here, we have a situation.”
Twilight mentality syed in annoyance at this, what now? She just wanted to hangout with her friends, was that so much to ask?
Princess Celesta continued “Something is terribly wrong, the sun was raised earlier that usual, I wouldn’t think that this was a problem normally but I asked and my sister hasn’t raised the sun herself and the only other being in equestria who can do that besides of course a large group of unicorns is Discord!”
Twilight then got worried, she had accidentally raised the sun in her sleep again, it was problem for equestria when she ruled, her solution to this was to simply wear a magic blocking ring to bed every night but she forgot she didn’t currently have one, it would be easy to get one but now she had to explain this mess without giving away the fact that Twilight Sparkle is currently an Alicorn and keep Celesta from blaming her friend Discord who was completely innocent without giving away she personally knows him, then she had an idea and asked “If Discord had escaped wouldn’t it be a lot more chaotic than just an early sunrise?”
Princess Celesta had confused look on her face and asked “How do you know about Discord, their are no books on him.”
Twilight answered “The Royal guard is taught about the ancient evils of equestria, my brother is Captain of the Royal guard, their isn’t anything my brother knows that I can’t figure out one way or another.” That was a half truth, wale her words were the truth, she was once again using future knowledge to her advantage
Princess Celesta accepted this answer and stated “That does make since, Discord would cause a lot more chaos than just this by now if he had escaped from his stone prison.”
The Princess was now frustrated, they were once again back to square one and Twilight was attempting to come up with a lie to explain the current situation they were in, but at that moment Spike asked “What if it was Moonlight? She is an Alicorn.”
Twilight mentality thanked Spike for that idea, she didn’t want to blame the foal she had grown to care about in the last day or so but decided this lie would actually make the most since for now and stated “Spike, your a genius, Moonlight must have some of Nightmare Moon’s power but doesn’t know how to control it yet.”
Princess Celesta stated “That does make since, you should probably look into something to help out with that.”
Twilight mentality syed in relief, that crisis was averted but she couldn’t help fell like something was bothering her, but she decided that she would figure it out later.
Twilight then said “If that is everything I’d like to get Moonlight back to bed.” Said foal cooed cutely in her sleep
Celesta finally noticed the foal and her eyes widened, she then whispered “How did I not see her?”
Twilight answered “You had more important things on your mind, Moonlight is important to me, and if anyone tried to take her away, well you already know what will happen.”
Princess Celesta rubbed the spot Twilight had blasted only 24 hours ago and stated “That I do.” The spot didn’t hurt, even right when it happened, she was more emotional hurt by the attack than anything
Twilight stated “If that’s all, I must be going.” Twilight then teleported back to the Golden Oaks library and tucked Moonlight in, she herself had just given up on getting more sleep knowing at this point something else would likely go wrong so she had breakfast thinking more about what was bothering her, she knew what was wrong of course, but didn’t know how to approach it, the fact Spike didn’t have any friends his own age, it was a difficult thing to bring up, especially this early, so she would discuss it with him on a later date that wasn’t today.

Sorry about to last Chapter, I know it was pretty bad, but I was just so excited to get to this one because Trixie if my favorite character, even more so than the main cast
A Grate and Powerful Friendship
After bidding fair well to her new friend Gilda Twilight was also able to help give Zecora a proper introduction to the town by greeting her as if she were an old friend which technically she was, and then having her meet with the ponies in town to dispatch all the rumors about her, Twilight even was able to prevent herself and her friends from getting caught up in the poison joke, Twilight just know that the flowers idea of a joke would be to reveal her wings so she did everything in her power to avoid them, today would have another change to what originally happened in the timeline, her future frenemy, Trixie Lulamoon of as she liked to be called, the great and powerful Trixie would soon be arriving in ponyvill, this gave Twilight the opportunity to actually befriend her, she’d always wanted to but never could mostly because she didn’t think Trixie could understand the basics of Friendship, now Twilight knew Trixie was a great and loyal friend, future Rainbow Dash even once said that Trixie might’ve been able to weald the element of Loyalty, but she made sure to put emphasis on the might part
The day was fairly normal, she pretended to just learn her 25th spell to temporarily give spike a mustache and then Spike gave a pep talk about the fact that she was probably the most magical unicorn ever to which Twilight bluntly stated “Nope, I’m not the most powerful Unicorn.” She couldn’t be the most powerful Unicorn if she were and Alicorn pretending to be a Unicorn
Spike tried to convince twilight otherwise until finally Snips and Snails old them about the new unicorn in town and Twilight smiled at the chance to see Trixie again.
Finally they came to the stage show to see a blue unicorn, with has silvery-blue hair and wand and fairy dust cutie mark and purple eyes, and unlike most ponies she was actually wearing clothes it the form of a Purple sorcerer’s hat with blue and yellow stars, she also wore a simmer looking cape, this was Twilight Sparkle’s long time Frenemy, Trixie Lullamoon
Suddenly without warning Twilight teleported on stage and stated “Trixie, I missed you.” She then proceeded to give the confused unicorn a hug
Trixie asked “Um dose the great and powerful Trixie know you?”
Twilight backed away, she’d been peppered to answer this question and stated “Trixie, it’s me, Twilight Sparkle, we used to have classes together and Clelestia’s school for gifted Unicorns, but when you realized your special talent was illusion magic you left to become a show pony.”
That story was actually the truth but Twilight just never noticed, it was thanks to one of her future friends, Starlight Glimmer creating a spell that could allow one to relive past memories that she learned this, Twilight occasionally used the spell to relive her memories with her old friends but it just wasn’t the same as actually being with them.
Trixie stared wide eyed and asked “Twilight Sparkle, as in Princess Celesta’s personal prodigy?” Twilight nearly throw up in her mouth at that and simply stated yes
Trixie stated “Oh Trixie remember now, you were the one that never asked for help on anything because you were the greatest and most powerful student that school or really any school had ever seen, and arguably smarter than almost all the teachers.”
Twilight slightly blushed at Trixie praising her, it may not have sounded like it but this was one of the ways Trixie would praise ones accomplishments
Twilight then asked “Hay, do you want to do the show together?” She then smiled and lied “I don’t know any illusion Magic yet so this would be a good opportunity to learn.”
Trixie agreed and the two together put on the greatest show of magic anypony had ever seen, Twilight made absolute sure to stick to the spells that Spike knew that Twilight knew, adding in a few illusion spells after “learning them”.
By the end of the show Twilight and Trixie were actually friends, Trixie saw Twilight as a good friend and Twilight already knew Trixie was a great one, during the show Twilight’s friends did challenge Trixie because she said that the two of them were the most powerful Unicorn’s in all of equestria, they thought she was boasting but it was all part of the show, for fun, but first Applejack showed off her lasso skills which instead of Trixie humiliating her Twilight instead copied every move and used Applejacks lasso as well and she herself did, without even using magic which left Applejack stunned but also impressed by her friend’s skill, then rainbow dash tried using her speed to show off, this time Trixie dealt with it by using the Rainbow she created against her, finally was Rarity who created a gorgeous dress but then Twilight was able to create an illusion of one of her future Princess dresses to show off, and making sure the wing holes in the dress were covered, it may have been technically cheating to use Rarity’s own style against her, but they were rudely interrupting Trixie’s show first so she figured it was justified in that since, Twilight even invited Trixie to come to the library, where Pinkie Pie was waiting for them
Pinkie Pie said “Oh hay Twilight, little Moony-woony is playing with her toys, also who’s that with you?”
Twilight stated “Thanks for babysitting Pinkie, I know Moonlight can be a bit of a hovefull.”
Pinkie smiled and stated “It was my pleasure, See you later Twilight, see ya Trixie.”
Trixie asked “How do you know my name? You were just asking who I was a few seconds ago.”
Twilight mentality stated ‘It’s Pinkie Pie, don’t question it.’ And out loud asking “Pinkie are you Psychic?” It was a legitimate question that Twilight had always wondered about but never asked
Pinkie stated “Of course not silly!”
Pinkie left leaving Trixie baffled, she looked back at Twilight who could only shrug in confusion, she’d only tried once to understand Pinkie Pie, never again.
When the two were alone Trixie glared at Twilight and asked “Okay what’s going on? You may have all of them folded, but I know an illusion spell when I see one so start talking!”
Twilight not at all expecting this tried the only thing she could, play dumb so she proceeded to ask “What illusion spell? I’m just Twilight Sparkle.”
Trixie simply glared at her with a knowing look
Twilight syed not wanting to do this, she knew their was no way out of it, she charged up her horn, their was a bright flash of light and Trixie looked at Twilight confused

After a minute Trixie finally asked “Sorry what were we talking about?”
The spell was the memory block spell and Twilight also made a few improvements to her illusion, she mixed a curtain spell into it, the spell in question made it so that no pony would notice something unless they were actively looking for it, another one of her future friends, Sunset Shimmer had taught her this spell, it was how the unicorn was able to sneak around so well without getting caught, so by mixing this spell into her illusion she effectively made it impossible for anypony to notice there was an illusion unless they already knew that they were there, and even if they didn’t that was what the memory block spell was for, no pony would ever notice her wings until she was ready, she made sure of it, off all future changing events, her having wings was gonna be one she wouldn’t let slip through the cracks, making more friends even though she’s supposed to be an introvert? Fine. Taking care of Moonlight even though she shouldn’t even exists? Also fine. Ignore Pinkie Pie’s randomness even though the old Twilight would’ve definitely questioned how she can do all that stuff? Oh most definitely. But one thing, even if it’s the only thing, in the mind she could not and would not risk was her secret Alicorn status to be known too early.
Twilight answered “You were asking me about Pinkie Pie and I told you It’s Pinkie Pie, don’t question it.” Techocely that was mostly the truth
Trixie accepted this answer not realizing anything was wrong, suddenly their was a banging on her door, Twilight opened it to find Spike
Twilight mentality groaned once she heard the massive growl, not even listening to Spike’s explication, she honestly thought that she’d prevented this particular disaster when she befriended Trixie, putting on a serious expression Twilight yelled “Trixie!” Trixie ran to Twilight’s side and Twilight explained “Somepony brought an Ursa to town because they wanted to see you defeat one in pony, so I think I have an idea, how about the two of us work together to easily take it out? You already took one out before and with the two of us working together we can take on anything, dare I say, we could even take on Princess Celesta if we really wanted to.” Twilight knew her words were based only on a lie that Trixie had told, but Twilight was also confident in the ability’s that Trixie did have, it also helped that it was only an Ursa Minor and not an Ursa Major.
Trixie gulped and put of a smile that Twilight could already tell was forced as the illusionist strutted “L-let’s do this.”
The two rushed into town and when Twilight saw the Ursa Minor she nearly cooed because she almost found the giant cute, but composed herself and started “We’re in luck, that’s not an Ursa Major, it’s only an Ursa Minor, aka a baby, all we need to do is to get the little one back to sleep and back to its mother.”
Trixie gasped “That’s a baby?!”
Twilight replied “But of course you would know this, seeing as you vanquished an Ursa Major, this must seem like nothing in comparison, would you mind if I took care of things? The original plan was for me to distract it to give you the chance to do what you needed to do, but now that we know it’s only a baby would you be okay with switching those rolls?”
Trixie nodded her head in agreement almost too quickly
So the Two went to work, Trixie distracted the Ursa Minor with a few of the stage tricks as that was really all she could do which gave Twilight time to prepare, she played a melody from her horn, the melody was the toon of one of the lullabies Fluttershy sang to her animals, it was far more effective than the original one she did with the flowers, the Ursa immediately calmed down and nearly fell over onto a civilian if Twilight hadn’t caught the giant bear in her magic as it fell asleep, floating the Ursa to the cave was definitely the easiest part this time around
Twilight then proceeded to lie “Well I couldn’t have done it without Trixie here, she played a kea roll.” Twilight looked over and could see a guilty look in Trixie’s eyes as she was then praised
They did have much time to think as Pinkie Pulled them into a ‘Welcoming to Ponyville/Congratulations on saving Ponyville’ party, the party was pretty great, they had Peanut Butter Crackers, Trixie’s favorite, and Vanilla Ice Cream, Twilight’s favorite, or used to be her favorite, but she didn’t have the heart to correct the Pink Party Pony, and their was plenty of fun to be had all around.
Later at Twilight’s library as Twilight and Trixie entered to find Spike comforting Moonlight who was frightened by the Ursa attack
Trixie asked “Um, Twilight, can I talk to you about something in private?”
Twilight lead Trixie up to her room and shut to door to give them some privacy, Twilight wasn’t completely sure what Trixie would say, but she had a good guess
Trixie stared at Twilight for a minute before starting “Trixie has never seen an Ursa Major before.”
Twilight faked a gasp of surprise and Trixie continued “Trixie was lying when she said she defeated one, Trixie was so scared when she thought she would have to face one for real, when you offered to take over Trixie was very relieved, but when the town praised us, and when we got a party, Trixie is still wondering how that Pink one knew my favorite food was Peanut Butter Crackers-”
“It’s Pinkie Pie don’t question it” Twilight suddenly interrupted.
Trixie contented “Trixie would normally want nothing more than to bask in that kind of glory, but when you gave her credit for helping despite her not doing much, she couldn’t help but feel bad, I knew you could’ve dealt with that situation without her, I was felt useless, you are a great and powerful Pony. Me? I’m just Trixie.”
Twilight couldn’t help but noice that near the end Trixie wasn’t talking in third pony like she always did, she then replied “Its okay.”
Trixie slammed her hove on the floor and with tears in her eyes she yelled “It’s not okay! You could’ve gotten hurt if it really was a real Ursa Major, I-I, don’t want to loose the first real friend I have.”
Twilight said nothing, she only gave Trixie a reassuring hug as Trixie sobbed quietly, Twilight would reassure her friend later, for now, this is what Trixie needed

I’m really sorry for not posting this sooner, I even had the whole chapter ready to be posted for a while now but forgot about it for a while and for that I humbly apologize and I promise to try harder
The Tickets She Doesn’t Want
To say it was an eventful week after Twilight had befriended Trixie would’ve been an understatement, first Applejack just couldn’t accept help of any kind during Applebuck Season and became overwhelmed to the point of collapsing, that stubbornness of hers couldn’t be changed no matter what she tired, next was Twilight and her friends supporting Rainbow Dash at the young flyers competition, figuring out how to encourage Rainbow without in dangering the life so doing the only logical thing she pretended to be in danger herself by “falling” out of the stands, the Wonderbolt’s tried to save her but Twilight was too “freaked out” and “accidentally” knocked them unconscious during the fall, which lead to Rainbow Dash to save all of them and being able to finally pull off her second ever Sonic Rainboom, seeing it again brought back some of her favorite memories. After that their was a massive storm and Applejack and Rarity took shelter in Twilight’s library, and the three had a nice sleepover and some differences were settled, and finally their was a dragon who needed to be relocated, it took a bit of time, but eventually Fluttershy gathered up her courage and got the job done
Today Twilight was helping Applejack harvest some of the leftover apples
Applejack stated “I sure appreciate your help Twi.”
Twilight smirked and joked “If only you could’ve realized that at the beginning of the season.”
Applejack looked down, slightly ashamed but Twilight nudged her friend and showed a smile to show it was a joke
Applejack smiled back at the jester and proceed to ask “By the way Twi’ I’ve been meaning to ask, I thought Spike and Trixe were gonna help us?”
Twilight stated “They both offered to watch Moonlight for me, I tried telling them that only one of them needed to stay behind but they wouldn’t listen.”
Applejack nodded accepting this answer then she proceeded to ask “Have you seen Rainbow Dash anywhere?”
Twilight asked “Did you check in the trees? I suspect she still needs her rest, after all carrying 4 ponies is no easy task.” Applejack groaned in annoyance as that was the most likely answer
Suddenly they heard something running towards them, it was Spike? What was he doing all the way out here? And he was carrying a letter and what looked like two golden tickets? But then as soon as she had that thought, it clicked, Celesta’s invitation to the Grand Galloping Gala. Oh no, please no, she could handle the letters, she could handle seeing her on occasion, she could even handle treating her like she didn’t despise her, she could not however do it for a full night, she would give herself one hour tops before she snapped, and even then she was being generous with herself, with the gala being a grand total of 3 hours long, Twilight didn’t stand a chance at not losing it, when Spike finally arrived and gave her the tickets Twilight did begrudgingly accept them, she honestly would’ve rather fought that dragon than except them, granted she would’ve easily won but that was besides the point, she wasn’t even listening to what Spike was saying when he read the letter out loud as Twilight was trying to figure out how to get rid of these tickets, passing them off to someone else was a big no no, she wouldn’t force these tickets upon her worst enemy let alone a friend, even if they all didn’t really know her very well she considered all of Ponyvill her friends.
Applejack asked for the extra ticket but Twilight wasn’t listening as she was trying to figure out how to get rid of them, the tickets were completely indestructible, they were impossible to tear and immune to Fire and Water so that option was out, she noticed Rainbow Dash come in but Twilight didn’t listen to a word she said as she was thinking about hiding the tickets, but she knew that couldn’t work either, the tickets were too noticeable so they would be found no matter where she hid them, she walked away from Applejack and Rainbow Dash wale was the two fought like an old married couple, kinda ironic given what Twilight knew about the future
She traveled through town trying to think but was having a hard time thinking with her empty stomach.
By the time she was in town her friends all inevitably found out she had a ticket for the gala and all of them wanted to go but Twilight couldn’t really think clearly so she lied and told them that she’d work something out with the extra ticket. But when she really thought about it was that really a lie? Technically it would be taken care of if she could get rid of the tickets
She was able to go get something to eat, or would’ve if her friends would stop trying to butter her up to convince her to give them the ticket but all that they did was give her further drive to find a way to get rid of the tickets, she considered the possibility of burying them but that had a few problems
She finally made it back to her library and after politely asking Fluttershy, who cleaned the library as a favor, to leave Twilight promptly fell to the ground
Trixie asked “Why are all your friends so dead set on a ticket? The grand galloping gala isn’t anything special, me should know, I went once and the royal guard banned her from ever attending another one but I was the most interesting thing at that party, Princess Celesta even personally invited me to attend another one but she decided not wanting to return to that snooze fest.”
Twilight actually surprised asked “You’ve been to the gala?”
Trixie replied “Yes and Trixie didn’t enjoy it, word of advice don’t get your hopes up too high if your planning on going.”
Twilight stated “I know right? Of all the holidays and celebrations, the gala is personally my least favorite!”
Trixie stated “You and me both, if it were Trixie with those tickets she would just decide not to go, seriously, just because you have tickets doesn’t mean you have to go.”
Twilight syed and stated “Being invited to a party and not going is just disrespectful, also your talking in third pony again.”
Trixie apologized “Sorry, I’m working on that.”
Twilight stated “Don’t be, if you enjoy talking like that keep doing it, I was just mentioning it because I kinda find it funny how you switch between the two.”
Trixie glared at Twilight but Twilight could tell their was no heat behind the glare, but back to the problem at hove wale it was tempting to simply say no to going to the gala, even for that reason alone, that simply wasn’t an option
The day went on with Twilight trying to figure out what to do with the tickets that she didn’t want, sending them back wouldn’t work, Princess Celesta would just send more
Eventually all of Ponyvill found out that she had tickets to the gala and she was able to escape from that whole fiascoI DON’T EVEN WANT TO GO THE GALA!!! ” The yell was so loud that it woke up the nocturnal Princess Luna all the way in Cantorlot.
back inside the library the force of her yell was so powerful that all her friends mains where pushed back by the force of the yell, before anypony could comment their was a loud cry heard and Twilight facehoofed herself. she hadn’t meant to slip into her Royal voice so she teleported not wanting to waist time straight to Moonlight as she was soon able to calm her down
Twilight went back downstairs and explained “I don’t want to go to the Grand Galloping Gala, especially if I can’t spend it with all my friends, and this fighting is completely pointless anyway, Applejack, they provide free food at the gala and even if they didn’t, the ponies who are attending will mostly be Canlerlot elite and they have no taste. Rainbow Dash, the Wonderbolts will definitely not appreciate anypony crashing their show, I mean how would you feel if somepony showed you up?” Rainbow looked away in response as Twilight continued “Fluttershy, the animals will run away from anypony who isn’t their usual caretaker, Rarity, the closest thing to a Royal stallion in Canterlot is Prince Blueblood, and even then he’s not even really a prince, Prince is his actual name. Pinkie Pie, I could name all the ponies in Canterlot that so much as know the meaning of the word “Fun” off of the top of my head and it’s a really short list, even I used to be unable to understand what the word meant, so in conclusion, these tickets aren’t worth fighting over, I don’t want these tickets if their causing my friends to fight over impossible expectations.” She didn’t want the tickets period but this statement was also true, these tickets caused nothing but trouble in Twilight’s humble opinion
No pony said anything until Trixie asked the obvious question “What are you gonna do with those tickets?”
Twilight stated “No idea. I don’t want to go alone but I think I don’t have much of a choice because it’s not like I can just get more tickets so I think that the best corse of action would be for me just to invite one of my other friends, I don’t know who I’ll invite but if you so much as ask than it won’t be you, do I make myself clear?” Her friends all nodded accepting that answer
Twilight stated “Good, now if you’ll Excuse me.”
Twilight left the room to go to her bedroom upstairs and she sat in bed trying to find a solution, the obvious solution would be to send the tickets back but Twilight knew Celesta too well, she would just send more, so that option wasn’t viable, their was the other option, find someone willing to go through this toucher with her so that at the very least she wouldn’t be alone. Her thoughts immediately turned to Sunset Shimmer but she disregarded that plan because a: that portal wouldn’t be open for a long while and b: Sunset was still evil so that plan was a bust. Her next thought was Starlight Glimmer but that idea was also shot down by her own subconscious for similar reasons, she almost considered the idea of just giving the extra ticket to Moonlight if for no other reason that it would be hilarious, just the thought of a baby at the Grand Galloping Gala nearly made her chuckle , but that was a bad idea for several reasons. Finally she thought about the possibility of inviting Moondancer but she probably wouldn’t have any fun, probably would have similar explanations to Twilight’s past self and end up being miserable.
When Spike entered to see if Twilight had a solution she had asked if Spike was sure he didn’t want to go and Spike told her no, Twilight knew it was a lie, even way back then, but right now she had some thinking to do, her friendship lesion letter to Princess Celesta would tell her about the struggle she was having on choosing between her friends and ultimately decided she would just ask somepony else that wasn’t in her immediate friend group
In the end Twilight still had an extra Ticket but Ponyvill returned to a more normal state as Everypony realized they were putting too much pressure into her to make a decision be it intentional or not

Feeling Pinkie Keen
Today would be a relatively exciting day for Twilight Sparkle, as it was the day her past self would learn about and question Pinkie Pie and her ability’s and it was also because of this particular day that past Twilight came up with a modo used for a long time by many ponies and even some humans “It’s Pinkie Pie. Don’t question it.”
The day started out like any other with taking care of the needs of Moonlight
Twilight and Spike walked through town wale Trixie watched Moonlight for the day, when suddenly they noticed Pinkie wearing an umbrella hat hiding under stuff
Spike asked “Is it just me or is Pinkie Pie acting more strange than normal?”
Twilight answered “Eh, that is a pretty high bar.”
They proceeded to ask what was wrong anyways, Pinkie explained her ability called Pinkie since and Twilight pretended not to believe it at first as that would’ve been suspicious otherwise, so she purposely allowed herself to take a frog to the face, fall into a ditch, and get covered in mud, by the time she was getting cleaned up Twilight stated “Okay, so Pinkie has the ability to predict the future with random body movements, it doesn’t make complete since but…” she suddenly stopped her sentence before she could say it’s Pinkie pie don’t question it and proceeded to instead say “Er, but I can figure it out.” She forced a smile that looked convincing thanking her luck that she was able to catch herself
Twilight proceeded to do an experiment with Pinkie Pie, this time the experiment would actually be effective, the plan was for Trixie to drop a book from a high place without Pinkie knowing so that they could test Pinkie since.
Later after asking Pinkie to leave Trixie asked “So what is the deal with Pinkie since?”
Twilight explained “Well, to put it simply Pinkie Pie has magic rivaling ours.” More of just Trixie but it used to be true
Trixie asked “What?”
Twilight explained “Well Pinkie somehow had both enteral and external magic.”
Trixie asked “What magic?”
Twilight explained how Pegasi and Earth Ponies had internal magic and Unicorns had external magic and Trixie asked “So basically Pinkie can do both?”
Twilight stated “Yes but the magic itself was weird and unpredictable, almost Chaotic in a way.” It was then a lightbulb went off in Twilight’s mind and then stated “Wait a second, the ability to defy the laws of physics, a vast knowledge that others don’t usually notice, the ability to sometimes predict the outcomes of certain events, and occasional looking in a random direction and talking to nopony, it’s all there! I think I’ve somehow solved Pinkie Pie! I don’t believe it! I thought it was impossible!”
Trixie grew curious about this discovery and proceeded to ask “Really? How?”
Twilight ignoring Trixie’s question and continued “I could wright a book! I’ll call it The Mystery of Pinkie Pie. Countless times I just overlooked her crazy shenanigans the answer was staring me in the face the whole time!”
Trixie asked “Um Twilight? Can you here me?”
Twilight not hearing a word continued further “No forget just solving Pinkie Pie, this could be a major breakthrough for magic in general! That secret project I was working on could finally become a reality! I’ll need to study Pinkie a little more to completely understand it and I’ll also need a few willing test subjects, but if I’m right could be revolutionary!”
Trixie finally yelled “Twilight!”
Twilight Royal Canterlot voice yelled back “WHAT?!”
Trixie completely terrified somehow found the magical strength to teleport out of the library, if asked how she’d probably answer that under the total complete fear she felt in that moment she had a miniature magical outburst that lead to that, she’d probably never be able to replicate without some kind of help, as so not be completely traumatized by the event and became afraid of Twilight Trixie decided that she would just try to forget it had happened.
Suddenly a more calm looking twilight teleported in front on her and stated “Sorry about that, I was kinda in the zone.”
Trixie replied “It’s in the past, let’s just move on and pretend it never happened.”
Twilight actually smiled and stated “Deal.”
They went back to the Library where Trixie asked “So earlier you said you solved Pinkie Pie, among other questions I have, what’s up with Pinkie Pie?”
Twilight explained “Only that Pinkie has Chaos magic!”
Seeing the confused look on Trixie’s face Twilight explained “Chaos magic is the second most powerful magic their is, most powerful being artifact magic.”
Trixie replied “I thought Alicorn magic was the most powerful.”
Twilight explained “Yes and no, wale yes they do have the most magical prowess it should be noted that their power isn’t focused in one point like with Chaos magic, with Alicorns their magic is split 3 ways, Earth Pony strength, Pegasus flight, and then and only then is their actual magical power, and that’s were Chaos magic has more potency, first of all unlike other magic Chaos magic doesn't have a lot of rules or limits, the only limit to a chaos user’s power is only limited to their own imagination, Chaos magic bends reality to the users very will, for example say their was a Pony whose special talent was the ability to use Chaos magic, for the sake of this scenario let’s call her Screwball, even if she was an earth pony she’d have the ability to fly, create objects out of seemingly nothing, and even break reality if she wanted to.”
Trixie then asked “But wait, if your right about Pinkie, why isn’t Ponyvill been overwhelmed by the pure Chaos that some pony with Pinkie’s imagination would cause?”
Twilight stated “Because their are some rules to the power, it’s kinda complicated and I’d need to explain it again in a simplified version anyway so basically Chaos Magic only dose what the user allows. It makes since that Pinkie can and dose use it, their are certain ways one can test if one is a user of Chaos magic and Pinkie exhibits all factors to look for. First is that Chaos users look in random directions and seemingly talk to no pony, the first day I meet Pinkie I noticed her do this, the next is that Chaos users seem to have a vast unexplainable knowledge that no pony seems to notice, Pinkie Pie seems to know the name and birthdate of everypony in ponyvill by memory, after that are the more obvious ones, the ability to somewhat predict the future, Pinkie Since, and finally is the really big one, the ability to manipulate reality around them, their are a few instances of this but the one that immediately comes to mind is that she’s able to seemingly teleport.”
Trixie grew confused and asked “How do you know any of this?!l
Twilight simply stated “Because I can use it too.” To prove it she poofed cotton candy cloud into existence that began raining chocolate milk, she soon after poofed it away
Trixie was in awe and amazement as Twilight further explained “Chaos magic can be taught, but learning how to use it is next to impossible, their are many steps to learn how to do so and I was just one of the few not to lose their sanity learning it.” She then thought to herself ‘Because you can’t loose what you don’t have anymore. ’
Trixie baffled asked “Wait!? You can loose your sanity just by learning it?”
Twilight stated “No offense to Pinkie but even her sanity is questionable at best, I have a few theories as to how Pinkie can use Chaos Magic but I can figure it out.” She already had, in the future when Pinkie accidentally absorbed Discord’s magic it was too much to keep in one point so it must’ve infected Pinkie’s full life span, how that works? Pinkie was always destined to one day absorb Discord’s magic, the method might be different this time but no matter what, Pinkie will absorb Discords magic, on the bright side she knew what her nightmare would be tonight.
Trixie then asked “So what was that about a secret project?”
Twilight stated “It’s only in the beginning stages, I’m not even sure it’ll work yet, but I’ll figure it out, I’ll need more data before I can come to any sort of conclusion and I definitely can’t reveal any details for now, I can worry about that some other time, for now Moonlight needs some attention.”
If only it ended their but it didn’t, Trixie was determined to help Twilight gather the data any way possible so she followed around Pinkie to observe and record what happens, first she got stung by bees, then she accidentally fell into a cellular, and for the grand finally of first a flower pot falling on her head, fallowed by an anvil, and then a haycart, and finally a piano.
Trixie was soon patched up and good to go, she apologized for getting herself into the previous situations by not asking for help but Twilight brushed it aside just deciding to move on from the incident, Trixie did offer to help Twilight with whatever that secret project was and Twilight suggested they enjoy the rest of the day, as Twilight knew that later that week they would have to deal with the problem in Appaloosa but she was already making a plan to help the Buffalo and ponies settle their argument with the same solution that was used originally but without them needing to almost go to war, by making the compromise that worked for all of them, The Appleloosa ponies would make sure to keep a clear path through their orchard so that the Buffalo could continue doing their annual stampede, their Stampede would make harvest much easier as the Buffalo made the apples fall from the trees wale running through and they could all live together in Appleloosa to learn more about each other’s cultures
Twilight tried "Spike...Spike wake up...get up Spike." No response but she kept on trying anxiously to waken her dragon assistant, Spike, for an important reason. She shook the small body tirelessly in the basket he slept in, only to get a quick snort and a claw push her hoof away.
The dragon creeped his eyes open, frowning in annoyance to the mare that was shaking him awake. He threw his bed covers over himself and snored abrumptiously. The shaking of the hooves stopped. A small smile of victory broke across his face, snuggling into his warm blanket to continue.
Though the Alicorn in disguise didn't give up. She lit the horn that poked out of her forehead and lifted the dragon out of his bed, instantly making his eyes shoot open. Hearing a couple groaning and snorting from the frowning dragon, she put him down on the floor on his small feet.
The dragon snarled at the secret Alicorn that had gotten victory over him, speaking in a bad tone "Why did you have to wake me up Twilight? I usually wake up in another hour." He crossed his arms and put his head down, yawning loudly.
Twilight was smiling, happily trotting over to the dragon and lifting him up onto her back, speaking joyfully "Because today is going to be your first day of school Spike, that's why I woke you up."
The purple dragons eyes widened "What! You've got to be joking Twilight. I can't go to school."
Twilight curiously asked "Why?"
Spike answered "Because I just don't think I'll like it is all."
Twilight began moving towards the stairs of the home, as she made her way to the bottom and sat the dragon on a cheer "Anything you would want for breakfast Spike?"
Spike rose an eyebrow and asked "Shouldn't I be the one who should ask you that question? And besides...what made you decide that I should go to school? I mean really, this is something I doubted you would ever do."
Twilight pulled out a couple gems from a cupboard while Spike wasn't looking at her, making sure he doesn't figure where her stash of gems was, so he wouldn't eat all of them in a matter of seconds "How about gems then? They seem to always fill you up quickly."
The dragon licked his lips in delight, hopping off the cheer and rushing into the kitchen next to Twilight and started "Yes! Oh the sweet gems, do you have rubies?"
Twilight smiled down at the happily jumping dragon, rolling her eyes and passing the different varieties of jewels to him and stated "I only thought it would be nice if you try something new instead of helping me each day. Besides, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo go to school together."
Spike paused and stated “I… think I know one of those names.”
Twilight cringed to herself for forgetting about that, now she remembered, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were in hiding for a long while, trying to avoid being found out for not having cutie marks yet
Twilight stated “Never mind just forget about it.”
Spike left slightly confused
Twilight then went upstairs to check on Moonlight
At the Ponyvill schoolhouse
Diamond Tiara insulted Applebloom for not having a cutie mark yet but that’s were the story shifts
Miss Cheerilee Announced “Let’s quiet down, please! It’s time to start the lesson. Today I would like to welcome a new student to our class.”
That caused a bit of commotion and confusion among the class, this seemed like it was an unusual time for new students
The door opened and a young purple dragon with green spins along his back walked into the classroom, it was none other than Spike.
Miss Cheerilee ssked “Would you like to introduce yourself?”
Spike syed in exasperation and announced “Well some of you probably already know me but I’m Spike, and as you can already tell I’m a dragon, technically I’m still a baby dragon but Twilight says that’s only because we dragons age much slower than ponies do, going by pony years I’m about the same age as you all and Twilight thought it would be a good idea to come and make some friends my age, and you know what? After the walk over I kinda agree.”
Twist curious asked “What about your other friends.”
Spike simply replied “Not counting Twilight and her friends, I don’t have any.”
Miss Cheerilee cleared her throat before starting “Well class, I think it’s about time to start, theirs an empty seat beside Twist.”
School house seat arrangements for this chapter (for anyone who cares) (will change)
Pip Squeak, Featherweight, Twist, empty (Spike)
Spike took his seat and the lesson began, it was a bit of a challenge to keep up with the other students as he wasn’t used to this way of learning, but he unexpectedly fond himself enjoying himself in this classroom setting
The day ended and every pony and Spike began heading home for the day
Spike saw Twist and Applebloom walking together, saying something about being upset that they didn’t have their Cutie Marks yet so he decided to talk to them about it
Spike went up to the pare and stated “I couldn’t help but overhear you were upset that you two didn’t have cutie marks yet.”
They both agreed with his statement
Spike started “Well if you really want your cutie marks why not just try different things until you find the thing you are best at, for example, what do you like to do when your not at school?”
Twist stated “Well I’ve been working on a candy recipe, it should actually be ready now that it’s had time to harden.”
Spike replied “That’s cool, what about you Apple Bloom? What do you usually do outside of School? Is their anything you’ve always wanted to try doing?”
Apple Bloom stated “Well I usually do mi chores when I’m not at School, but…” She paused pondering until she realized “…Huh, I guess I never really thought bout that before I always thought that it was my destiny to be on the family farm and helping out but now I’m not sure.”
Spike suggested “Well maybe try and figure it out? Try talking to somepony.”
Apple Bloom stated “Thanks.”
The two left the school
The next day
Spike noticed that Apple Bloom looked upset when he walked into class, when he sat next to Twist he noticed that the filly now had a cutie mark so he could guess why Apple Bloom was upset
After school Apple Bloom ranted about how when they separated she tried working with her sister but ended up messing up and how now she was the only filly in class without her mark
Spike stated “I guess I can’t understand how you feel, I mean I know what my destiny is, I’ll always be by Twilight’s side, I may never get a Cutie mark but I know what my talent is to be the best assistant I can.”
Later that day at the party
Spike noticed that Applebloom was (poorly) attempting to hide her flank so he knew that no matter what she tried to say she didn’t have her cutie mark so he decided to try and avoid seeing this train wreck by hiding under a table where to his surprise two other fillies were in hiding
Spike awkwardly introduced himself “Um… hi I’m Spike.
The Orange Pegasus filly waved at him
Spike took note of those names, he remembered Twilight told him about them, the way she spoke about them was weird, as if she somehow knew them, putting that thought aside for now he asked “Why are you hiding?”
Scootaloo answered “We were just eating then suddenly without warning the party started and we couldn’t get away in time, now we’re hiding so no pony sees that we’re the only blank-flanks here.”
Spike finally noticed that the two fillies in hiding did not in fact have Cutie Marks Spike then declared “Your not the only one without a Cutie Mark here.” Suddenly as if on cue the music of the party stoped and all eyes fell onto Applebloom, more specifically her exposed flank which was blank
That lead to not only Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle standing up to Diamond Tiara but also Spike helped out as well
Applebloom asked “Cutie Mark Crusaders? Where’d you come up with that?”
Twilight lied “It just came to me.”
Scootaloo stated “Well I like it!”
Sweetie Belle declared “Me too!”
Spike started “It’s a good name.”
Applebloom declared “Then its decided, from this day forth we will be the Cutie Mark Crusaders, our mission will be to find our marks!”
Spike declared “I may not be able to receive a Cutie Mark but I’ll help any way I can and hay what if along the way we help other ponies discover their Cutie Marks?”
Scootaloo declared “Spike your a genius, we do what we can to find our marks and help others with theirs.”
The 4 did a four way hoof bump to celebrate their new goals

I know I know, this chapter took forever to finish, I was kinda stumped for a while, I really wanted Spike to be a member of the Cutie Mark Crusaders but was stumped for a while trying to figure out how to go about doing it, so I hope what I came up with is a satisfying way of doing it.

Best and weirdest night ever
It was a very strange few weeks after Spike joined the Cutie Mark Crusaders, first Fluttershy became a model but then Twilight solved her problem for her, by telling her that Rarity was Jealous of her fame before Rarity could make her promise not to say anything about that and telling Rarity that Fluttershy was uncomfortable with being a model before Futtershy had the chance to make her promise not to say anything so that little crisis was averted and Twilight never told anyone this time around that Spike had a crush on Rarity but Twilight knew even back then that Rarity knew, the only reason she did all of that, Pinkie Pie haunted her dreams for the next week after in the original time, this time she was able to rest easily, next Rarity offered to make Twilight a dress for the Gala, as much as Twilight despised the very idea of going she would let Rarity make the dress for her, only one dress was made and Twilight was happy with the original design, after that Fluttershy brought Parisprites to town, Twilight helped Pinkie Pie gather up the instruments she needed as fast as possible, it was all she could do as she may have the power to teleport them somewhere else but that ran the risk of teleporting the entire town with them so this was the best solution and she couldn’t simply just tell her the truth, she couldn’t even think about breaking poor Fluttershy’s heart, after that was the time Rarity got mare-napped by the Diamond dogs but was able to get herself out of that mess, and finally was the time Fluttershy looked after the Cutie Mark Crusaders, even after all this time Twilight remembered what it was like being turned to stone and never wanted that to happen again, she could understand why Discord went on rampages after being released so for that part of this strange adventure Twilight made a fake stone statue of herself using her magic and made herself completely invisible with the cloaking spell that she originally combined with her illusion spell to make sure that now not even Trixie could see past it, it worked like a charm and that little adventure was successful, and finally Celesta officially came to Ponyvill, Twilight was able to prevent the whole fiasco with Philimina by informing Fluttershy ahead of time that Philomina was actually a Phoenix and that she was close to her burning day when she would burst into flames and rise from the ashes good as new
Needless to say that was quite a fun time, and the next was be another weird one, the day she first met Owllishis, but she was able to handle it, that day gave her the chance she was waiting for
Flashback to Spike meeting Owlishihs for the first time
Twilight knew Spike was jealous but Twilight had something she wanted to tell the baby dragon
Twilight declared “Spike, Owlishis may be my newest assistant, but you are something more, you mean more to me than you know, you’re family to me.”
Spike teared up slightly at the proclamation and the mater was resolved rather easily, Twilight honestly wished she could’ve said more but she needed to ease him into the idea of being her son
End flashback
During the running of the leaves/Iron Pony composition their honestly wasn’t much she could do due to Applejack and Rainbow Dash’s combined stubbornness and their need to complete against each other, Twilight found the whole thing rather beautiful knowing what she knew
Winter Wrap Up went off without a hitch as Twilight volunteered to organize everything for Mayor Mare and when they were able to clean up winter on time Twilight gained the title she still held to well in the future, best organization pony ever, given by Pinkie Pie herself in both timelines
Then was the day they threw a surprise party for Pinkie Pie, Twilight kept her busy that day to make sure the surprise went off without any issues and without Pinkie losing (more of) her sanity.
And finally was the Stage show of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Spike directed them to do what they were most skilled as, Sweetie Belle took lead singer, Applebloom designed the costumes and set and if Twilight didn’t know any better she would’ve assumed Rarity herself made them and finally Scootaloo was in charge of the choreography, it was perfect and they won, the only issue was despite being gifted in these subjects none of them received their cutie marks but Twilight already knew why
And finally now was the day of the Gala, the day the Princess in disguise was trying to avoid, it would be the worst night ever, the only reason why she didn’t get those extra tickets, she already knew Celesta’s plan to use her and her friends to turn it exiting but Twilight decided that she wouldn’t play that game, at least not by Celesta’s rules, she would shake up the Gala in a way only she knew how to do
First she teleported straight to where she knew Princess Luna was, she was just about awake and getting ready to handle her shift to guard the night when she noticed Twilight standing before her
Twilight asked “How would you like to help me pull the greatest prank of all time on Celesta?”
Princess Luna gasped exasperated and asked “HOW DOTH THYN KNOW OF OUR LOVE OF PRANKING DEAR SISTER?”
Twilight cleared her ear and answered “That’s not important right now, what is important is that I want to know if you want in or not?”
Luna pondered for a moment, on one hoof it was the grand galloping gala, on the other, a chance to prank her sister is not an opportunity that comes around often but needing one question answered she proceeded to ask “WHY ART THOUE PLANNING THIS? ARE THOUE NOT DEAR SISTERS PRIZED PUPULE?”
Twilight answered “Exactly that, I know Celesta hates how boring the gala is, she’s never voiced it out loud but I know, so I decided to help out by playing a prank their, that way the Gala is exciting and you get the chance to prank Celesta, are you in?”
Princess Luna agreed to help Twilight any way she could with this plan of hers
Later that night at the Gala Twilight was polite as she could possibly be until she finally sat down next to Celesta, all according to the plan
After a few minutes Twilight smirked as Celesta asked “So Twilight why didn’t any of your friends come?”
Twilight feigning ignorance answered “Well their were only two Tickets, I didn’t want to cause fighting between my friends, choosing one to give the ticket to would’ve been like asking me to pick my favorite friend and I couldn’t possibly do that, so I gave my ticket to someone else, they should be here any minute now.”
Celesta asked “Why did you not simply ask for more tickets? I would’ve been more than happy to send enough for you and all of your friends.”
Twilight inwardly smirked and replied “Well I didn’t want to bother you with that, you are the Princess after all.” She added under her breath “I’m honest surprised you never replaced me.”
Celesta caught that and asked “What do you mean by that?”
Twilight cringed to herself for that slip of tongue, but then smirked again thinking she could improvise this into the prank, and she always had questions about this particular subject but never had the time to ask
Twilight stated “Princess I know about Sunset Shimmer.”
Celesta was shocked and proceeded to ask “How?”
Twilight honestly answered “It’s a long story and you wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”
Celesta challenged “Try me.”
Just as Twilight opened her mouth to convince the Princess otherwise a red portal opened up and Twilight thought to herself ‘Show time.’
Stepping out of the portal was Discord himself
Suddenly some music started playing out of nowhere, No pony questioned this as it was a common occurrence in equestria, but then Discord did something no pony, not even Twilight expected, he began to sing

“I’m sure your not a fan of Puppeteers.” He snapped his claw and puppet strings appeared in his pawBut you must have have a nagging fear.
That someone else is pulling at the strings.” Suddenly the strings attached themselves to Twilight and she was forced into a dance with Discord
“Perhaps something terrible is going down.
Through the entire town.
Wreaking anarchy.
And all it brings.
I won’t say I’ve been.
But you can’t move at all!
You shall curse the name!
The one behind it all!
Discord!” At this he snapped his tail, both his claw and paw occupied by forcing Twilight to dance like a puppet, or that’s what it looked like to an outsider viewer in reality the Stings weren’t real she was just dancing for fun, and suddenly a giant pie fell on top of Soren much to the pie lovers delight
“Your howling at the moon!
And sleeping in the middle of a summer afternoon!
Discord!” He then made it daytime in an instant but then immediately turned it back to night in an instant
“Whatever did you do?
To make me take the world away?
Discord!” He then opened an inter-dimensional portal and transported Blueblood to an alternative dimension, Twilight kinda recognized it as the one he tried to banish Tree Hugger to that one time
“Are you my prey alone?
Or are you just a stepping stone for taking back the throne?
Discord!” He snapped his tail once more and Celesta’s crown appeared on his head
You won’t take it anymore!
So I’ll take my tyranny away!
Discord!” He surprisingly gave the crown back and he and Twilight entered a long dance number not that diffident from the time Discord pretended to be sick but this time he was pretending to control Twilight with Puppet strings
Celesta concerned asked “Are you alright?”
Twilight stated “I’m fine, I see my guest made quite the entrance.”
Celesta stuttered “D-discord!? He’s your guest!? B-but that’s not possible! Your still trapped!”
Discord declared “That I am Princess. That I am, you see I’m not the Discord you know, I come from the future simply to have a good time at the Gala I even have an invitation.” He pulled the golden ticket out of his non-existent pocket and showed it to the Princess who took the ticket in her magic grasp
After a moment the Princess stated “The Ticket is definitely a real one, and I can’t exactly kick out someone with an invitation, so you can stay for now.”
Discord took of his head and declared “Hat’s off to you Princess.”
Twilight chuckled at the bad joke
“So why would Twilight invite you?” Celesta asked curiously
“Because me and her are friends in the future, and I secretly spent a few days hanging out with her, eventually she invited me to the gala, she never even knew I was a Chaos God, she just assumed I was her quirky friend, which I guess you could say is true.” Discord half-lied. They had secretly spent a few days together, planning this exact scenario, they both eventually agreed that trying to preserve the timeline wasn’t going to work out, so they wanted to use this as a big opportunity to change something
“So what about the you outside?” Celesta asked
“That me is still evil and needs to be dealt with, I won’t tell you when or how, I wouldn’t be me if I did after all, but I come bearing a gift.” Discord declared truthfully
Twilight glared harshly at Discord and stated “Discord we talked about that, and my answer is no.”
Discord smirked and stated “Well I didn’t listen.”
He shaped his claw and suddenly Twilight’s Illusion spell disappeared, but it was done in a way to make it look like to even Celesta that Discord gave her the wings
Twilight growled “I warned you!” She suddenly summoned a giant ball of light in front of Discord and warned everyone around “Don’t look directly at it, for it will show your worst nightmares if you do.”
Discord declared “Bring it on, nothing you can possibly conceive can frighten me!”
He stated directly into the ball of light and nearly immediately let out a bloodcurdling scream which was Twilight’s Cue to dispel it
Discord balled himself up and rocked back and forth in the air sucking his thumb for a few moments before complaining “That was low.”
“Not lower than anything you did to me.”
“Fair enough.”
The remainder of the gala was, in a word weird, but Celesta loved all the Chaos Discord brought even if she was confused by the fact Discord became friends with Twilight, and after Discord went back to his time and after the Gala Celesta had a nice chat with Twilight about her current Alicorn status
“Princess I want to ask you a question, and please be honest with me, because I’m an Alicorn will I outlive my friends?”
And that was all the information Twilight needed to put her top secret project in motion, first things first…
A small portal opened up and Discord’s head popped out and he declared “Oh yeah almost forgot.” *snap* Twilight was once again placed under her undetectable Illusion “There we go, I had my fun with that but I refuse to be completely responsible for a forth Alicorn Princess being in equestria.”
Ironic considering Twilight was an Alicorn because of him currently
After that whole ordeal Celesta asked “I have but one question, where did you learn that spell you used on Discord?”
Twilight answered “Lu- Your sister Princess Luna taught it to me, it was mostly a safety precaution in case Discord got out of control.” Wale technically the truth Twilight only learned the spell to pay Discord back for leaving her as an Alicorn in this timeline but her secret was still protected and now she knew that no matter what celesta would always lie, was it to spare her feelings? She didn’t know and honestly didn’t care what mattered was that she was lied to and this lie could never be forgiven
Twilight was ready for today, she had planned for this, she had a plan, a back up plan in case the first failed and if both failed then and only then would she resort to the Elements of Harmony for today was the day Discord would escape his stone prison and attempt to bring Chaos to Equestria but would be stopped be it by Twilight alone or all of her friends was up for debate but she’d figure that out when it got there
The day continued as it did before and by that she meant Rainbow Dash ineffectively trying to get rid of the chocolate milk raining cotton candy clouds Discord created, then at Applejack’s farm where the corn popped, the apples grew too large and the animals… were weird their was no explanation to that.
That was when Twilight dispelled the chaos using her own chaos magic, one of the few things that can combat Chaos Magic was Chaos Magic and that was when Celesta summoned them
When they arrived at Canterlot she explained the situation to her friends and told them that they’d need to use the Elements of Harmony to defeat Discord but when she tried to retrieve them they were gone and finally came the moment Twilight was waiting for, Discord showed up
He took one look at the group before him and was confused and Twilight could tell why, as Unicorn/Alicorn Magic had no effect on the Draconoquis in question and this was the Discord of the past so he was confused by her wings and also confused by the fact he could also notice they were hidden, a new one additional kea aspect, all Chaos Magic users had this sorta ‘tell’ to let them know about another user, Pinkies was her Pinkie Since but to her it was an unfamiliar sensation that she didn’t recognize and wouldn’t recognize until she got to know Discord
Discord looked straight at her and snapped his talons, appearing in his paw was a script titled Return of Harmony and flipped through the pages for a moment and declared “Okay that’s supposed to come later, am I in the wrong dimension again?”
“What are you doing?” Celesta asked completely baffled
At that question Discord ate the script and muttered to himself “Well I’ll jest go with it, after all I wouldn’t be me if I let something like this through me off. *clears throat* Now then Princess I’m sure you would like to know where I hid the elements of Harmony, but you know me I’ll only tell it my way. To retrieve your missing Elements, just make sense of this change of events. Twists and turns are my master plan. Then find the Elements back where you began.“
The others were confused by the riddle but Twilight immediately knew the answer because she lived through this once before, but she was hesitant, yes she knew that this Discord wasn’t her friend, but it would still feel like turning a friend to stone, she wanted to reform Discord, she really did, but she honestly didn’t expect to be able to, only Fluttershy realistically could and Fluttershy currently would never agree to this
Twilight continued to debate weather she should ‘fall’ for Discord’s trap or just retrieve the elements of Harmony as she was thinking Fluttershy approached Twilight and asked “Twilight can I talk to you in private for a minute?”
The question confused Twilight but she complied none the less
Fluttershy pulled Twilight aside and asked “Twilight, what’s going on?”
“What are you talking about?”
“Twilight, please help me, the last thing I remember is helping send Luster Dawn to Ponyvill, then suddenly I’m here in the past, I think I time traveled, don’t try and convince me you don’t know what I’m talking about, I can see your wings, that illusion spell only works if you don’t know what to look for.”
That caused Twilight’s eyes to widen
“The others aren’t here, I made sure to ask specific questions in private, for example I asked Applejack about how Granny Smith was doing and she didn’t even tear up, Pinkie Pie didn’t even know what I was talking about when I subtly mentioned Lil’Cheese, Rainbow Dash gushed over how ‘awesome’ the Wonderbolt’s are, not even the siltiest passive aggressive comment about how horrible they used to be before she took control, Rarity said she still wanted to meet prince Blueblood when I asked, trust me it took all I had not to loose my lunch then. So I’ll ask again Twilight, what is going on here?”
“You can’t tell anyone.” Twilight instinctively blurted out
“Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye, and as you know the Pinkie Promise is legally binding.”
Twilight was pretty sure it already was before she actually made it a rule of equestria, but their was no proof of such.
“I honestly don’t know about you but this was actually a gift from Discord. It was my one millionth birthday and his gift to me was taking me back here.”
At that Fluttershy slapped her hove to her face and declared “Of course that happened. What should we do?”
“Well for one I’m gonna wait for Celesta to send me Starswirls spell book so I can ‘complete’ that spell and ‘become’ an Alicorn, mostly because it will help me time for Sunset’s return.”
“So what about certain villains?”
“Well I can’t tell you everything right now because I don’t want to jinx anything but now that you’re back we might not have to even turn Discord to stone, I was admittedly struggling against the idea of using the Elements against him, even though this definitely isn’t the Discord that we know from the future that doesn’t change the fact that it would feel like using the Elements against our friend, Discord was one of the few that I could still call my friend after you all… well you can probably guess that part. Cadence found a way to turn herself mortal because she wanted to be with Shining Armor, well technically she didn’t, Sombra did, all Cadence did was find his spell book, Flurry Heart followed not long after, Luna almost never visits and when she does she always brings Celesta with her *mumbles under her breath* the lier.”
“Celesta? A lier? What happened between you two?”
“It’s a long story, the short version is I originally thought my ruling of equestria would be temporary, a mantle I would pass down, I even thought Luster Dawn would take my place, but then I discovered something horrifying, two things actually, one I’m immoral, I stop aging now that I’m an Alicorn, but grow with my magic, that’s how Celesta, Luna, Cadence and eventually me and even later Flurry Heart get to our sizes but that growth happens gradually, me having all the knowledge and power of my future self won’t cause me to grow any faster, and two the spell that turned me into an Alicorn only worked once, I’ve waisted years trying to find a way to replicate the spell in one way or another, all of them ended in failure in one way or another. Before Flurry Heart cast the spell on herself she was able to find a replacement, as for me, according to ancient equestrian law only an Alicorn could rule equestria, that same rule doesn’t apply to the Crystal empire, the law was so ancient even I couldn’t overrule it. But now I’m back here. I’ve missed you all so much.”
“I fell the same, you really think I can reform Discord? Especially so early?”
“If anypony can, it’s you Fluttershy.”
“Thanks Twilight.”
“Come on Fluttershy it’s just us future ponies, my friends are like family to me, now please say ‘it’.”
Fluttershy raised an eyebrow and asked “You really want me to say that? Now?”
“Of corse, I’ve waited so long, I need to hear some pony say it, in the future I couldn’t even get my most loyal servants to say it no matter what I did, as a matter of fact, as a Princess I’m ordering it.”
“Your really pulling rank over this?”
“You bet your future animal sanctuary that I will do everything in my power to make a reality sooner that I am.”
“Fine. *clears throat* Thanks Twily.”
“Much better I’ve been waiting for somepony to say that to me again.”
“Yeah so what’s the plan Twily?”
Twilight smiled at the question and declared “Your plan C in case plan A and B fail, I needed a plan C to fall back on because plan A and B are both risky.”
“What’s plan A?”
“You’ll find out Flutters, you’ll find out.”
Twilight sneaked out of the castle to the hedge maze where she knew Discord was waiting for her and her friends, but he would be in for a surprise
“Discord come on out, I know you can here me! I herby challenge you to a goof off!”
Suddenly Discord appeared in front of Twilight and asked “You are challenging me to a goof off? You really think you can out goof me? Please I invited goof off’s!”
Twilight smirked and declared “Then you should have no problem defeating me.”
“Fine but drop the disguise Princess, I’m not gonna let you complain when you lose about splitting your focus between the goof off and keeping that disguise up.”
“Okay, so who’s our judge?”
“Nope, for this we’re using the most impartial judge possible, the rules are simple, whoever makes the other laugh first wins.”
“So we complete wale trying not to laugh?” Twilight asked to clarify
“Yes this rule will make it more difficult for both of us. Are you ready?”
Twilight nodded and so the two began to attempt to out silly the other by singing, dancing, telling jokes, and even both using chaos magic to one up eachother, but nether gave a single inch
Until finally Twilight felt a tingling sensation, and she couldn’t resist but to burst into laughter, looking to where the sensation came from and she saw a feather tickling her!
Discord declared “I win!”
“Only because you cheated.” Twilight declared not completely serious, it wasn’t her goal to win the goof off, only to hopefully help get Discord to willingly stop his spread of Chaos
“All I said was that whoever made the other laugh first wins, it was never stated that tickling was against the rules.” Discord declared with an evil smirk
Okay plan A failed but that was fine because Twilight had a Plan B and C
Twilight suddenly teleported back into the castle but before anypony could even react Twilight grabbed Pinkie Pie in her Magic and teleported them both to where Discord was waiting
“What now, is your pink friend gonna try to beat me next?” Discord asked, slightly amused
“No, I have a better idea. Hay Pinkie Pie! Did you know that Discord’s been trapped in Stone for 1000 years? Meaning he hasn’t had a birthday party in at least that long.”
“What’s a birthday party?” Discord asked not knowing the force he’d unleashed with that question alone
Even Discord couldn’t explain what had happened next but all of a sudden he was sitting on a chair that somehow fit him perfectly and in front of a cake so large that the mountain Canterlot was built on looked tiny by comparison with birthday candles as far as the eye could see. Discord couldn’t help but take a small taste, the cake was somehow Chocolate Milk and Cotton Candy flavored. If that wasn’t enough Pinkie suddenly sang “I’m not sure wether or not it’s your birthday but here’s a party ether way!” Pinkie suddenlygot out her pony polka set from the Parisprite incident and began playing. Discord couldn’t help but smile and hum along, the chaotic sounds where all simply amazing together. And as the final pease Pinkie suddenly gave him a present and swiftly declared “Twilightwantedmetogivethistoyou! SorryIdon’thaveagiftforyou!” Discord opened it and inside was one of his favorite things, a joy buzzer, he could easily make one for himself but he found it made him happier to receive one as a gift
During the pure chaos of all of it Fluttershy, who Discord wasn’t even sure how she got here, or even where here was having no time to think with all that was going on, asked to talk to him in private, he could only oblige
A few hours later Discord teleported right in front of Celesta, Elements of Harmony in claw and declared “You win I don’t know how you planned all of this, but I’m ready to embrace good and friendship.”
Celesta was left very confused but Discord kept talking “I mean with your Student challenging me, it was like a fun game, and then that Party that was thrown for me, and finally Fluttershy, oh Fluttershy, I can safely say with confidence that using my magic for good instead of for my personal gain is a good trade, especially if it comes with friendship so I am not sure how you pulled this off, but you trained your student well.”
Celesta was still very confused but didn’t have time to ponder as Discord suddenly snapped his paw and everything went back to normal.
“Admittedly I like it better my way but not everything has to be my way.” Discord said with a smile as he teleported away back to the party leaving Celesta in stunned silence, the only thing she could say was one thing
“What in equestria just happened?”

I hope you liked this, I admit it’s not my best, but I really wanted Discord reformed asap and I ran into a few obstacles along the way, some obvious, some not so obvious.
The day was relatively normal for the main 6, the all decided to have a picnic that day, even Discord was invited but he wasn’t causing trouble, to the contrary he was making the picnic even more fun, it couldn’t be denied that the chaotic twists Discord put on most things was hilarious
“One thing I’m still wondering is how Pinkie Pie threw that party for me, especially with almost no time to prepare.”
“Discord I recently came up with a phrase that will probably do wonders, it goes like this, ‘It’s Pinkie Pie don’t question it’.”
“Oh I’ll definitely be using that from now on.” Fluttershy declared with a hint of a smirk as she and Twilight looked at each other both internally laughing at their inside joke
“So where is Trixie? I had thought she would join us.” Rarity asked, she and Trixie may have… a certain history but she couldn’t deny that Trixie was proving to be a good friend
“She offered to watch Moonlight for the day.” Twilight stated to which Discord gave a chuckle “What’s so funny?” Twilight asked directing her attention to Discord
“It’s not that, it’s just that you reminded me of one of my favorite chaotic creations, this something I enjoyed making even more than chocolate milk rain.”
“WHAT!?” Pinkie asked complete baffled by the very concept of anything being better than chocolate milk rain
“Oh yes, this creation was unlike anything I had created before, before their was no rhyme or reason behind anything I did, such is the very nature of chaos magic, but one day I found myself bored, that was during the time before I was turned to stone, for ages I ruled equestria with an iron paw but I believe theirs an expression for what I was feeling ‘it’s lonely at the top’, before Celesta and Luna even found the Elements of Harmony their was nothing that could rival my power, and nothing was outside of my capabilities, the power to control all of reality, until finally I created something, something that shared my chaotic vision, something I could share my chaotic world with.”
“You made a friend for yourself with your magic?”
“Less of a friend and more of something I could see as family, my creation was a pony, but a pony unlike any other, this pony had the ability to use my powers, she was like a daughter to me, I called her Screwball.”
Twilight nearly snorted but managed to keep it to herself
Discord didn’t seem to notice as he kept reminiscing “I still remember our special song we used to sing to eachother. Sometimes I can’t help but wonder where she is these days, unlike most of my creations Screwball had a will of her own and her magic wale technically also mine is not connected to mine, so Screwball was the only thing I created that didn’t go away when I was first turned to stone, and I was tempted to summon her to me during my escape so we could have all the fun we wanted together, I can’t anymore, I do love screwball but I’m not sure how she would react to all of this. And one more thing, if you were to ever use the Elements of Harmony against her in any way shape or form I would not hesitate to turn Equestria upside down, both literally and metaphorically.”
Their was no reaction after that but the suddenly Trixie’s voice yelled out “Twilight!”
They say Trixie running towards them, and she looked downright terrified
Trixie begun talking with a stutter “T-Twilight, p-please please don’t be mad!”
“Trixie. Where. Is. Moonlight? Why. Aren’t. You. With. Her?” Twilight asked a bit too calmly which caused Trixie to begin to shiver and even tear up
Trixie yelled “This isn’t Trixie’s fault! Trixie was framed!”
Okay this was serious, Trixie had been working on not talking in third pony, if she was forgetting to check their was seriously something wrong
“Trixie what happened.” Twilight asked, her tone much softer
It did nothing to quell Trixie’s nerves
“Twilight promises she won’t get mad at Trixie for what happened?” Trixie asked somehow sounding more timid than when Twilight met Fluttershy for the first time, all 3 times
“Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.” Twilight resided the sacred promise that she would one day make legally binding, she was still trying to figure out weather or not it already was
“That’s a Pinkie Promise! You can’t ever break a Pinkie Promise! You can trust her Trixie!” Pinkie declared
“Okay, Trixie, I-I was watching Moonlight. Their was a bright flash, it was so bright that I had too cover my eyes for fear I would go blind, when I could see again… I… I promise Twilight it’s not Trixie’s fault!” Trixie begin to hyperventilate
“Trixie.” Twilight tried to calm her but Trixie didn’t seem to hear her
“Trixie!” Twilight yelled to attempt to get her attention but Trixie didn’t stop
“TRIXIE!” Twilight royal Canterlot voice yelled finally getting Trixie to snap out of it
“I’m sorry for yelling but I need to know what happened next I already promised I’m not gonna get mad at you.” Twilight declared
“The Pinkie Promise is a sacred one! Twilight making it means she won’t get mad at you for whatever happened even if she wants to!”
Trixie finally continued “When Trixie could see again…” she stopped, she was afraid, no downright terrified to say this next part, she’d honestly rather be locked up, or banished, or locked up in the place she was banished to
“Twilight promised and Twilight doesn’t break a promise.” Twilight declared knowing that her talking in third pony would get through to Trixie, also leaving out the unspoken ‘anymore’.
Trixie finally gathered her courage but not much she finally started “When Trixie could see again… Moonlight was gone! She wasn’t invisible that was the first thing Trixie checked for! Trixie checked every square inch of the library 10 times before coming here, Trixie even checked the books in case Moonlight was somehow in one of them! Trixie is so sorry Twilight! Please forgive the pathetic and useless Trixie!”
Twilight suddenly slapped Trixie and declared “I promised I wouldn’t be mad about what happened and I’m not, but I am mad at you for calling yourself pathetic and useless!”
Pinkie muttered to herself “She only really promised not to get mad about what happened so I can let this slide, especially considering what Trixie said about herself.”
Trixie gave a small smile
Twilight immediately glared at Discord, suspecting this to be one of his pranks
“Don’t look at me! I’ve clearly been here this whole time!”
Unfortunately that alibi couldn’t work for a creature like Discord, he had many ways he could’ve possibly been the one to do this, even never leaving the picnic blanket he could’ve done this
As if reading her mind, and Twilight honestly wouldn’t doubt he was Discord declared “I promise it really wasn’t me!”
They eventually agreed to search the town and found many odd happenings, buildings were upside down, bushes were pillows, the streets were soup, oh and let’s not forget the classic chocolate milk raining cotton candy clouds, Twilight was about ready to confront discord again doubting his claim, if she hadn’t heard the sound of crying
Twilight had followed the crying to a pink filly with white and purple hair and a Cutie mark of what looked like a screw and a baseball, she wanted to focus on the lyrics but was more focused on Moonlight who was still in her cradle but with this strange filly, Twilight was about to confront her but she noticed something else, the filly was crying not to Moonlight but to a picture of Discord
Twilight was about to cry from that, apparently this was Screwball and she didn’t even know wether her father was here or not
“It is not the same.” Apparently Screwball declared to herself “This picture is all I have left of him… I have to bring him back but their are only two ways that would ever happen, either the so called Princesses let him go, like that would ever happen, or a spike of chaos strong enough to break him free, now normally I would give up because my power cannot even come close to daddies.”
Twilight’s heart broke from that statement, at least that explained why they never saw Screwball like this in the original timeline as she likely retreated to an alternate dimension to be with an alternate version of her father, now she was wondering, what changed to cause this outcome?
Fortunately Screwball answered Twilight’s unsaid question with “But with even just this fragment of Nightmare Moon’s power I can do it! I can bring my daddy back to me!”
That statement alone was enough for Twilight to feel something deep within, not anger, not resentment, but sadness, she wanted to cry for Screwball, this feeling convinced her that what was needed to stop Screwball wasn’t herself (even though she could, easily) but her father Discord
With that resolve Twilight teleported to the other side of town were Discord was searching
“Ah Twilight, I thought I detected sudden spikes in Chaos Magic but I just suspected it was you.”
“Not exactly… look it’s a long story but I need you to come with me.” She lied, it was actually a very short story that she just couldn’t tell in public
Twilight then teleported herself and Discord back to where Screwball was, but Chaos users are effective and work fast when determined, Screwball had used her Chaotic magic to combine herself with Moonlight and Screwball had a black cote with dark purple and dark gray hair, one eye was a spiral, the other was Moonlight’s/Nightmare Moon’s snakelike eye, and the Cutie mark was now a Screw and the Moon
“Daddy! Your here! I knew if I took that power you would come back! I didn’t expect it to be so soon!”
Discord looked at the pony in slight confusion and almost fear as he stuttered to ask “W-who are you?” He knew the answer already but didn’t want to be right
The chaotic dark pony confirmed his fear by declaring “Don’t you recognize me daddy? I may have gotten a makeover but I’m still Screwball… though that name doesn’t quite fit me now dose it? From now on call me Chaotic Nightmare!”
“Screwy… my chaotic little abomination… what have you done?” Discord asked is disbelief with tears in his eyes
“Your free now daddy! And together we can rule equestria together! Just like before! And now that I have the power of Nightmares on our side!”
“I-“ Discord began but he couldn’t finish, no, he couldn’t ever tell Screwball the truth, it would break her heart, likely literally
Fortunately or unfortunately depending on who was asking Twilight suddenly asked “Discord, what should we do? I think I speak for both of us when I say we don’t want to fight Sqr-Chaotic Nightmare.”
Discord did have one solution, he didn’t like it but this was the best option so he shaped his tail, both his ‘arms’ for lack of better term, were sagging and he couldn’t find the willpower to lift them
Suddenly the Element of Magic was on Twilight’s head
“No.” Was Twilight’s immediate response
“Twilight-“ Discord tried to reason but was interrupted by another louder “NO!”
“It’s our only option.” Discord said, wether he trying to convince her or himself Twilight wasn’t sure but she was sure of one thing
“NO! I WON’T USE THE ELEMENTS AGAINST HER! WHAT HAPPENED TO ‘IF YOU WERE TO EVER USE THE ELEMENTS OF HARMONY AGAINST HER IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO TURN EQUESTRIA UPSIDE DOWN BOTH LITERALLY AND METAPHORICALLY’? THEIR HAS TO BE ANOTHER WAY!” Twilight royal Canterlot voice yelled
“I DON’T LIKE IT EATHER BUT IF YOU HAVE ANY BETTER IDEAS I’M OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS BECAUSE THIS IS MY ABSOLUTE LAST RESORT!” Discord surprisingly, or unsurprisingly royal Canterlot voice yelled back
Twilight stopped to think, and found, she did have one plan
“Discord sing that special song you were talking about! Don’t ask me why just do it!”
Discord would normally question this idea but if it got the real Screwball back he would, plus the fact it was an excuse to sing that song didn’t hurt
(Author note: I’m serious don’t get used to these songs, I’m really not any good at them, full credit of this song goes to DisneyFanatic2364, it was too perfect not to include)
Discord began “Please do not cry my dear your daddy is so very here And If anypony causes you harm or fear I will bring them pain and drown them in chocolate rain 'Cause I am your Daddy Discord and you are a piece of me!”
Chaotic Nightmare couldn’t help but smile at the fimiliar toon and sang the next part “Remember that one time you took me to that baseball game? I got my Cutie mark...”
Discord: ...and things were never quite the same.
Both: (Your /My) wild pitches flew driving the ponies all insane 'Cause (I am your/You are my) Daddy Discord and (You’re/I am) a piece of (Me/You)!”
Chaotic Nightmare smiled “Daddy that was great! Just like old times!”
“It was *sigh* if only the real Screwball had sang it with me.”
“But I am the real Screwball!”
In that statement suddenly Screwball and Moonlight separated, but wale Screwball was back to normal, or as normal as Screwball could be, Moonlight was older than she should’ve ben, in fact she looked less like a foul and more like a filly about the same age as the CMC
Moonlight looked towards Twilight and asked “Mama what happened?”
Twilight didn’t currently have an answer, she was too shocked that her admittedly long shot plan actually worked and caused this outcome

Sisterhoves Social & Cutie Pox
We start in the CMC clubhouse where the CMC are having a meeting
Spike stood at the podium and announced “I call this meeting of the Cutie Mark Crusaders into order, our first objective is to welcome our newest members Moonlight Sparkle and Screwball.”
“I’d like to thank you all for letting me join you despite the fact I already have a Cutie Mark.” Screwball declared cheerfully
Spike replied “Well with your chaotic power the others can do basically anything to try and get their Cutie Marks and you can act as a safety net in case anything goes wrong.”
Applebloom and Scotalloo clapped enthusiastically but Sweetie Belle was far less enthusiastic which Spike was able to pick up on immediately
“Something the matter Sweetie Belle?”
Sweetie Belle sighed and admitted “Well if you must know, I’m staying at my sister’s house for a while, wale I am excited because that means I will be able to spend even more time with my fellow Crusaders than before, no matter what I do Rarity keeps getting mad at me! I tried making breakfast for my family but Rarity wouldn’t even try it, in fact she made it all over and I was barley able to help! So mine was a little burnt big deal right!?”
Spike, Applebloom, and Scootaloo cringed to themselves, they once made the mistake of actually trying Sweetie Belle’s cooking under the belief that it tasted better than it looked, it did not, even Spike couldn’t stomach it.
Fortunately for them Sweetie Belle changed the subject before they would have to respond “And she got angry at me not not cleaning up after myself, when I tried to wash some of the clothes but accidentally shrank one of her sweaters, I tried make a thoughtful gift for her she got mad again for using some of her gems! Later got angry at me for cleaning up her messy room! What’s up with that!?” Sweetie huffed in annoyance before signing In disappointment and declaring “I just wish we could do something special together that didn’t involve me goofing anything up.”
Applebloom gasped and declared “Wait the Sisterhooves Social! Applejack and I do it every year, you and Rarity could compete against other teams in all these neat events!”
Sweetie Belle gasped in excitement “That sounds like the perfect way to hangout! Rarity will think it’s a great idea! I am gonna go tell her about it now!” She ran out existed
After she left Spike bluntly declared “Rarity isn’t going to think it’s a good idea at all.”
“How do y’all know!?” Applebloom asked kinda offended
“She’ll think it’s uncouth.” Spike explained much to Applebloom’s confusion
Screwball turned to Moonlight and asked “So Moonlight, I heard about the social myself and know the rules, apparently you don’t have to even be related to compete in the social and it’s not just for girls, so I was wondering if you and Spike were gonna compete together?”
Spike and Moonlight looked at eachother awkwardly, the two didn’t really know what they were to eachother, Moonlight was especially confusing to Spike since just a couple of weeks ago she was a baby and now she was about his age
Before the awkwardness could continue they heard a zooming sound and a yell of “Incoming!”
Suddenly Rainbow Dash crash landed into the Crusader Clubhouse
“Sorry about that, but right now have any of you seen a filly by the name of Scootaloo?” Rainbow Dash asked as she got up and dusted herself off
Scootaloo stepped forward in complete disbelief and stuttered “I-I’m Scootaloo. A-and y-you’re Rainbow Dash!”
“Well Scootaloo, Twilight told me all about the Sisterhooves Social and about how theirs a filly almost as awesome as me that would love nothing more than the chance to compete alongside me to bring home the gold, and that filly happens to be you.” Rainbow Dash explained that to her
Scootaloo felt like she would explode form sheer excitement “I’m not dreaming am I?” She asked faintly
Just as she spread her wings to test if this was truly a dream or not Rainbow Dash stopped her by saying “Not a dream squirt, now come on we’ve got some practice to do.”
Scootaloo passed out and Rainbow Dash commented “Looks like we’ve got a bit of work to do but I do like a challenge.”
Rainbow put the passed out filly on her back before flying away to practice
Applebloom also left to practice with her own sister Applejack leaving Moonlight, Spike, and Screwball alone together
“So are you gonna compete with anypony Screwball?” Spike asked curiously
Screwball shock her head in disappointment and declared “Wish I could but they have a rule against beings with god-like powers such as myself, no I’m not kidding theirs actually a rule about that, I guess it was originally put in place with Celestia and Luna in mind as if they completed in the Social it wouldn’t be fair for anypony else. So I can’t compete because I’m more well known, but Moonlight can compete as barley anypony knows about the fact she’s an Alicorn, not even Sweetie Belle, Applebloom, or Scootaloo know yet.”
“And I would prefer to keep it that way for now.” Moonlight stated firmly
Screwball nodded in understanding before declaring “I understand, most of the ponies in town avoid me because they all know who my daddy is.”
Later Sweetie Belle told Applebloom and Applejack about how, like Spike predicted Rarity didn’t want to compete in the Sisterhoove Special because it was uncouth which Applejack explained to Applebloom meant uncivilized, or bad mannered, Applejack then told Sweetie Belle that Rarity would soon come around but she didn’t believe her so Applejack offered Sweetie to help with chores that Applebloom and Applejack turn into a game, Sweetie noted how the two were constantly much closer and had more fun than herself and Rarity
Meanwhile Rarity was finally noticing how Sweetie Belle was trying to do something nice for her, first with her room now organized she got inspired to make a whole new line, then she noticed that wale the shrunken sweater was too small for her it fit her pet cat Opal perfectly, and finally as the pièce de résistance she finally actually saw exactly what Sweetie Belle made for her with those gems and Rarity burst out crying for how she treated Sweetie Belle
Rarity tried to apologize to Sweetie Belle but Sweetie Belle wouldn’t let her and told Rarity how she wanted Applejack to be her sister instead, which also caused Applebloom to fight with her over Applejack as she didn’t like to share her family, yet
Rarity tried to get Sweetie Belle to come back to her but Sweetie wouldn’t listen especially considering Rarity wasn’t exactly considerate to what Sweetie Belle wanted to do
Applejack pulled Rarity aside and gave her some advice about how to be a better sister and Rarity left declaring she knew what needed to be done
It was the day of the social and Applejack approached with Applebloom and Sweetie Belle in toe
Sweetie Belle did miss Rarity deep down, consistently making remarks about what she would say if she were here
When it was time for the race event Sweetie Belle complained about not having a sister to complete with but then suddenly an all too familiar voice called out “Who said you didn’t?”
Sweetie turned around an couldn’t believe her eyes, it was Rarity and she was wearing a bedazzled bandanna and holding a matching one with magic
“Rarity what are you doing here? I thought you said this was uncouth.” Sweetie Belle declared in shock
“I did but after my talk with Applejack I realized that to be a good sister I should also do the things you like to do, I even had this whole big dramatic plan set up where you and Applejack would start the rase together but I would hide in the mud pit and that’s were Applejack and I would switch places and after the rase I would reveal my true identity, but then Twilight talked to me and got me to realize that simply talking to you about this was a better way to go.” She offered the matching bandanna to Sweetie Belle and asked “What do you say?”
Sweetie Belle looked up at Rarity for a moment before smiling and cheered “Let’s do it!”
Rarity smiled and wrapped the bandanna around Sweetie Belle’s neck and stated “Now I cannot promise we will win, after all we’re up against Rainbow Dash and Applejack in an athletic competition.”
“I don’t really care about winning, all I care about is spending time with you sis.” Sweetie Belle replied with a cheerful smile while Rarity fondly returned
The rase itself was fun, Applejack and Applebloom tied for first place along with Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo, Rarity and Sweetie Belle surprisingly coming in second
Rarity and Sweetie Belle became closer from the event, find a good balance between the messy more chaotic activities Sweetie Belle liked and the cleaner more orderly activities Rarity enjoyed
The next day started out as normal for the Cutie Mark Crusaders with another failed attempt to get their Cutie Marks Applebloom was extra disheartened by that and the other Crusaders did everything in their power to try and cheer her up, but nothing worked and she ran off to the Everfree Forest, fortunately for her after getting herself hurt she almost immediately ran into Zecora who fixed her right up with a potion, which gave Applebloom the idea to ask for a potion that could give her a Cutie Mark, but no such potion existed, instead Applebloom stole a powerful herb that could make one’s hearts desires come to life, and for Applebloom that just so happened to be the solution to her problem
By the next day Applebloom had a Cutie Mark, it would’ve been perfect, if not for one problem, in trying to shortcut her way to a Cutie Mark Applebloom accidentally caught a decease called the Cutie Pox’s, which constantly gave her more and more Cutie Marks and forced her to act out the talents the marks suddenly gave her
The only reason Twilight didn’t stop this before it happened was because she knew that even if she did Applebloom would learn about the Hearts Desire Herb some other way and used it, it was also a learning experience that the filly needed to find that using magic to force a Cutie Mark to appear never ended well, so instead of outright preventing it, she already had the cure ready to be used when Applebloom came to see her
Applebloom was almost immediately cured when she came, and fortunately for her she only had 3 marks at the time but that wasn’t the end of it as one thing Twilight forgot to account for that she honestly probably should’ve seen coming was Discord and/or Screwball wanting to have fun with the situation
Meanwhile across town the effects of that were being shown, specifically with Scootalloo and Sweetie Belle
It started similar to Applebloom, the 2 suddenly unexpectedly gaining Cutie Marks, at first they didn’t even notice getting them, until suddenly Rainbow Dash came to see specifically Scootaloo
“Hay Squirt, I see you got a Cutie Mark.”
Scootaloo looked to see Rainbow Dash was right, she did indeed have a Cutie Mark, it was of a purple lightning bolt
Rainbow Dash processed to explain “When Pegasi have lightning bolts for Cutie Marks that usually means that their talent has something to do with fast flying.”
Scootaloo gasped in excitement and spread her wings and took off, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo had fun raising across the sky’s, wale on the ground Sweetie Belle almost couldn’t stop speaking Prench (Pony French) much to Rairty’s excitement
But then the problems started arising, Scootaloo suddenly got a Cloud for a Cutie mark and began beating away clouds without meaning to and Sweetie Belle suddenly gained a Cutie Mark for Magic and disaster soon followed
Rarity and Rainbow Dash took them to Twilight’s to show her what was going on
“Okay I have good news and bad news, the good news is I know the cure, the bad news is I already used my only batch of the cure on Applebloom earlier, we need Zecora.” Twilight informed them
So get Zecora they did, and fortunately enough Zecora had just what they needed and enough for both but some pony needed to say a truth to the flower so Applebloom admitted to causing the Cutie Pox in the first place, then Screwball admitted that it was her fault it spread to Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo as she didn’t know Twilight only had enough cure for one
Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were also cured and they were grateful as they had at least 10-20 Cutie Marks each by that point

Nightmare Nighfright
After Moonlight became a filly and Screwball became an official part of Discord’s life once more Ponyvill was in for an additional shock when Moonlight Sparkle was also revealed to the town but their surprise and shock would have to wait a bit as Nightmare Night was just around the corner, Discord said he had a major prank planed for the event but refused to explain what
Soon the night finally rolled around, Twilight honestly had a couple of ideas of what she wanted to be for Nightmare Night, she honestly didn’t really want to be Starswirl the Bearded after having learned about how he basically used the human world as a dumping ground for ancient magical artifacts and The Sirens, add into the fact that her meeting with him was kinda underwhelming, now when the time came Twilight would still save him and the other pillars from Limbo, but she didn’t know when the antique shop would get Starswirl’s book and even if they already had it she had no way of knowing which barrel had said book, but for now Twilight couldn’t help but be disappointed in her other former idol, so when Rarity asked if Twilight wanted her to make a costume for her Twilight accepted this time around and asked Rarity to surprise her, she silently decided to herself she would need to get used to surprises with how the timeline is getting, she could only hope it was on close enough track, and would remain so as she already had a plan to make Luna’s visit to Ponyvill go better this time around
She had no way of knowing it in that moment but because of Discord she wouldn’t get the chance to use that plan but also wouldn’t need it
It was now Nightmare Night and Spike had a different costumes this time around, in an ironic twist Twilight was still dressed up as Starswirl the Bearded while Spike was dressed up as Clover the Clever, seemed like Rarity got some inspiration for this idea
She didn’t have to dwell on that for long as suddenly a flash of light wiped through the entirety of ponyvill, Discord’s prank had begun
Twilight looked into her reflection and immediately noticed something wrong, her illusion spell wasn’t working, how she noticed despite the costume? Century’s of looks at them in her own reflection, she could tell by the ever so slight of some of her her feathers peaking out from underneath the costume, not noticeable to anyone who wasn’t Twilight ‘OCD’ Sparkle, Rainbow Dash came up with that one, well technically future Rainbow Dash did
Twilight tried to reapply the spell but to her surprise it didn’t work, it felt at if all her knowledge that she knew she had on Illusion spells was currently not there somehow, she couldn’t even remember how to cast some of the basic illusion spells Trixie had ‘recently taught’ her, speaking of Trixie, she should be here any minute, she agreed to hove out candy with Spike so Twilight could spend the entire night with Moonlight, who in an extremely ironic twist was dressed up as a filly version of Nightmare Moon, and also spend the night with Luna but they didn’t know about that part
Meanwhile all over town everyone else was having a much different reaction that Twilight and Moonlight, you see Discord’s prank went like this; whatever your costume for nightmare night is, that’s who or what you will be for the night, Twilight and Moonlight weren’t affected by said prank because Discord purposely added a rule to this specific prank (Yes he could add his own rules to pranks, he may be the lord of Chaos but he has some rules) and the rule of this prank was it had no affect on Immortal Beings so that included himself, Screwball, and all current Alicorns, but he still wanted to mess around with his friend Twilight so he did something extra special for her, Tonight and Tonight alone Twilight Sparkle had absolutely no knowledge on illusion spells, she didn’t know any, she couldn’t cast any, and she couldn’t learn any new ones no matter how hard she tried but only until Midnight
Spike rushed over to Twilight and declared “Master Starswirl something most unusual has occurred, somehow I am an adolescent dragon and you happen to be a mare! Fortunately unlike me you still have your horn so perhaps you can fix whatever happened.
Twilight stood confused for a few seconds until she gave a sigh in annoyance, she had immediately figured out exactly what Discord’s prank was now. Then her eyes widened as she suddenly had a horrifying realization. She decided she would play along for now because their may be an emergency, getting into character Twilight declared “Yes it is a most unusual situation we find ourselves in, not to worry, we will be back to normal by morning, but for now we have a more pressing manner to deal with, we need to find an Alicorn filly, no time to explain the details!”
With that she ran out the Library and bolted in the direction of Sweet Apple Acres, Moonlight wanted to officially introduce herself to the CMC’s and maybe possibly join them since she also doesn’t have a Cutie Mark and thought this was the best way to do it, a combination of it being a small harmless prank to scare them at first and later because she fully planned on tellingly them the absolute full truth eventually, but she wouldn’t get the chance this night
Now Twilight didn’t know all the details of how Discord’s spell worked, but as she passed through town her working theory was that the prank was affecting Everypony in Ponyvill except for her and making them act like their costumes, Rainbow Dash the Shadowbolt was acting mostly the same as the first time but more mean and Twilight was sure that it was only due to the fact that Fluttershy didn’t like to participate in Nightmare Night that the mare wasn’t pranked tonight, Pinkie Pie the Chicken was actually acting the same as last lime as well but Twilight expected that, Applejack the Scarcrow was asking if anypony knew where her friends, Dorothy, the Tin Pony, and The Cowardly Lion were. Twilight also knew for a fact she would never be able to get the new image of when she was passing by Mayor Mare who was balancing on one hove on a beach ball juggling apples above her head
Finally making it to Sweet Apple Acres she was great by 4 fillies, Scootaloo who dressed up as Rainbow Dash flying all over the place despite the fact that Twilight knew for a fact that such a thing impossible, she chalked that feet up to Discord, Twilight promised herself in that moment that she would somehow make it possible for Scootaloo to actually fly on her own… at least after Scootaloo met Rainbow Dash’s parents because Rainbow herself attempted that she likely never would’ve reconnected to her parents if it weren’t for Scootaloo’s accidental meeting with them, but definitely before the Washouts incident, Twilight knew first hove that Scootaloo had constant Nightmares about it after, having personally helped her through a lot of them herself
Along with Scootaloo was Apple Bloom dressed up as the Tin Pony asking if she’s seen her friends, Dorothy, the Scarecrow, or the Cowardly Lion
And then their was Sweetie Bell who was dressed up as a Vampire Pony tried to bite her but she could fort still teleport to safety and Spike who thought he was Clover the Clever was lagging behind, as for Moonlight
Moonlight looked at Twilight and asked “Mommy what’s going on? What happened to them?”
Moonlight frowned, Twilight knew why, when asked about it Moonlight admitted to remembering everything that happened the day Screwball kidnapped her to use her power which ended up with how she was now, Moonlight was confused about how she felt about it all, on one hove she liked being a filly much more than being a baby but on the other she now fully understood the absolute danger she was in, she knew that she was basically the final remnants Nightmare Moon’s power given form, according to Celesta she should be evil and locked up in Tartarus as the princess knew for a fact the Elements of Harmony weren’t an option this time
Speaking of Princess’s and problems, Luna finally made her grand arrival, the greeting she received ranged all over the place, from some actually bowing before her, to some, specifically the once’s dressed as animals running away, to some of them making empty threats against her but she was mostly welcomed with open hooves
Discord’s first official meeting with Luna was awkward to say the least, Discord also used his powers to made it so she could only talk like a normal pony as to not scare anymore fillies (mostly just for Screwball and Moonlight) but it would only last until tomorrow, she would need to work on it herself on her own time
Then came time for Luna to meet Screwball and Moonlight
Luna stared at the two for a moment before pointing at Moonlight and declaring “I seem to remember you being a foal the last time I saw you.”
Screwball admitted “That’s my fault, dark ritual gone wrong, or right depending on your view point.”
Luna looked at the Chaotic filly and asked “And you are?”
Screwball cheerfully declared “I’m Screwball! You and your sister turned my daddy Discord to stone.”
Luna gasped at that information
Discord thankfully cleared up the confusion by whispering into her ear that Screwball is technically a chaotic creation of his with a will of her own and a small portion of his power, and that also that if she or Celestia did anything to hurt Screwball then not even the Elements of Harmony would be able to stop his rampage
Finally Moonlight asked the question she needed to ask “Luna do you hate me?”
Suddenly all thoughts about Discord and Screwball were put to aside for Luna as she started directly at Moonlight as she asked “How could you possibly come to the conclusion that I hated you?”
“Because I’m basically all that’s left of Nightmare Moon, don’t lie and tell me I’m not, I know it and you know it two! I also know you hate Nightmare Moon! I remember the time we were Nightmare Moon, those thousand years of hatred, despair, and sadness! I’m even dressed up as Nightmare Moon!” Moonlight was crying at this point
Luna tried “Moonlight-“
Luna sighed, Moonlight wasn’t wrong, not once in their whole conversation, so she decided to admit “I do hate Nightmare Moon. For everything she’s done. I sometimes wish you didn’t exist as you are a constant reminder of the one thing I truly hate about all others .”
Moonlight looked away and Twilight glared at the Princess, her horn glowing in warning. Luna remembered what Twilight did to Celesta for trying to take Moonlight away, and that was Twilight’s first time meeting her. Luna was almost afraid of what Twilight would do to her after she’s been with Moonlight for awhile and Luna just openly attempted to hating her but such a thing needed to be said to get to this next point
Luna declared “But you are not that pony.” Moonlight opened her mouth to protest but Luna held up her hove signaling for Moonlight to be quiet so she could finish, Moonlight complied and Luna continued “Nightmare Moon cared for nopony, not even me, you care about your found-mother Twilight. Nightmare Moon cared only for her ambitions and everything else was an afterthought, you care about many things, you are more like me than Nightmare Moon in that regard. Most importantly Nightmare Moon was created by my anger and jealousy towards my sister, I can tell you have no such qualities so that leaves me wondering, what part of Nightmare Moon do you come from? The answer to that question is simple, you come from the part that is me, the good and the bad, during those thousand years it barley even mattered who was who, our magic was intertwined, I can even still become Nightmare Moon myself, so to hate you I would have to hate part of myself, and I refuse to do so a second time, no matter what anyone says you are Moonlight Sparkle. I do not know what path lies before you and I must attempt that I am weary of you simply because it’s impossible for me to enter your dreams but… I think I will trust Twilight to care for you.”
The next day Twilight sent a letter explaining the events of last night to Celesta
