Why do you fight?

Do you fight for the fun of it, to experience the thrill of battle as adrenaline pumps through your veins?

Do you fight for your country, at the behest of a ruler you’ve never met, to protect your nation no matter what comes?

Do you fight for personal gain, the prospect of fame and wealth intoxicating you until you’d do anything to achieve it?

Or do you fight because you have to. Because if you didn’t, people would get hurt. Because if you didn’t, you would be hunted down for just existing, for being something you could never control.

Why do you fight?

Me? I fight for everyone. Man, woman, child. Pony or Minotaur, Changeling or Dragon. I fight because I want to protect them all. I fight because they want to destroy me.

I fight.

For the Greater Good.

And if I must become the villain to save them all, then so be it.
