"Damn, I had hoped he wouldn't have gotten this far." I Slammed my fist on the table in front of me. "Stay calm, Chrysalis it's just a minor setback, time for plan B." I reached into my purse and grabbed the knife I had hidden inside. I heard the door unlock and watched the knob turn slowly. The door slowly creaked open, and a dark blue stallion stepped in. "Come to take me away, Detective Skies?"
"You're under arrest for the serial murders that have transpired this past week. You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law." He slapped the cuffs around one of my wrists. "You have the right to an attourney if you can't afford one, one will be provided for you. Do you understand these rights?"
"Of course I do." I Plunged my knife deep into his stomach, and his warm blood trickled over my hands. "And you understand that prison is no place for a lady." My smile grew somewhat demonic, as his cold body landed with a thud on the floor. Thank you ever so kindly for letting me go." I knelt down and lifted his head. "Don't worry you won't die, not yet anyway." With his last ounce of energy he spat blood on my face. "How rude, maybe I will kill you right now." I raise my knife to his throat, as I do I hear hoofsteps down the hall. "Here comes the cavalry, you'll live to fight another day, Starry Skies."
I quickly changed my shape to mimic a pegasus police officer. "Quick Skies is hurt and she's escaped!" I shouted in a stallion's voice.
"Shit, Halestorm call an ambulance"
"Yes sir, Captain Cloud.
"Which way did she go?" Cloud asked enfuriated.
"That way,"
"Don't just stand there, go after her."
"Okay." I ran in the direction I pointed, turned a corner, and went out a window into a dark alley. My shape returned to my own and I kept the featered wings so not to draw suspicion. "That was too easy, Cloudsdale's finest, bah." My heart was racing, I was too careless, I was almost caught. "Dammit." I said under my breath.
"Woah, did you see that, dude, that mare just came outta stallion."
"I know right." Two stallions who were obviously smoking something said from the street. My plan had been comprimised again, but this was a simple fix. I needed to kill something, and two somethings were standing right there. I grinned and motioned for them to get closer. They slowly stumbled into the shadows, I turned plunging my blade into ones face. The feeling of actually killing someone warmed my heart. I wrapped my arm around the other's neck looked deep into his eyes and slit his throat. His blood spewed over my face. His warm red blood tantilized my toungue. It tasted like sweet Ambrosia.
"Delicious, pony blood is much sweeter than ours." I began laughing, Killing is so much fun, I loved watching their terrified faces, Watching their soul drain from their eyes, it made me ecsatic, gave me warm fuzzies. After a few seconds of blood bathing I was satisfied, for the moment. The color of my gown shifted to the same red as the blood and I walked out into the sun. The chariot carrying Starry Skies whipped around the corner so fast it caused a slight breeze. Oh how I hated letting that one slip through my fingers. Then I saw something so bizzare, a small pegasus standing on a board, but she was moving, almost too fast for my eyes to follow. "What strange features this world above ground has?"
As I begin to explore my surroundings my thoughts keep going back to why I let them go instead of killing all of them, was I getting soft, NO I was getting sloppy. "Damn, I could have easily killed everyone of them, so why didn't I?" I growled under my breath.
"Oh that's an easy one," Scarab's voice sounded from behind. I turn to find a tall broad shouldered stallion with a navy blue coat.
"I'd love to hear that answer," I rolled my eyes.
"Never make the first move, Sis."
"What do you mean by that?" I barked.
"You can tug on the strings all you want but it takes knowledge to make your puppet dance." His logic had always confused me, but somehow this made perfect sense.
"What would you suggest, Brother?"
"Me personally, I'd follow them, learn what makes 'em tick."
"Them?"
"Yeah, Brother's hanging around with this girl, orange, purpe hair, grey eyes, she'd be cute, if she wasn't the enemy." His description was spot on with that pegasus on that moving board. "Knowing is half the battle, Chrys."
"True, obviously he'll be expecting me, so you'll go instead, any relevent information will be shared with me via our telepathic link." I grinned and pointed off in the direction that she went. "Go, I will await you at the castle." He saluted and flew off to leave me to my thoughts, and anger.
