Prologue

San Francisco, 2014

In the skies above San Francisco, a group of soldiers were seen diving down into the city with flares streaming from the outside of their boots. However, in the city, it was absolute pandemonium in there, buildings were toppled over and police officers were seen evacuating the citizens from the city. But, in one area of the demolished city, a father was seen screaming for his missing son while his wife and daughter were behind him.

"Lucas! Lucas!" The father screamed for his son while walking through building debris and shining his flashlight everywhere, "Lucas! Lucas!" The father screamed with a concerned expression.

Suddenly, a noise was heard above them. The father and wife looked above them and saw a giant green bug with orange dear horns, a green unicorn horn, dark purple shelled wings, a dark green shelled torso, four bright green hooves, and a long insect winged mane walking through a skyscraper, toppling it over in the process. It then let out a roar which shocked the mother.

Five years later

In a house bedroom, a mother named Jessica Richard who is an Equinarch biologist was seen sitting on her bed with a disconsolate expression after the loss of their son Lucas Richard, she and her husband Elliot Richard have split up after the ordeal leaving their daughter Lily under the care of Jessica which made things even more worse for the family.

"Why did this have to happen?" Jessica asked in a dejected tone.

The biologist looked to her left to where her family photo was placed on a table. Then, she began to looked at the picture of her son Elliot sitting next to his little sister. Then, Jessica's radio began to broadcast something.

"Thousands of citizens gathered in the Bay Area last night to honor the victims of the 2014 attack." A man said through the radio.

In the living room, a TV on the wall was turned on and a news channel was seen displaying a video of angry protestors protesting in the United States capital Washington DC holding up signs that says 'Kill the Equestrians', 'Equestrians are monsters', 'Destroy all Equestrians!' while marching towards a government building.

"Part of a wave of memorials and protests, demanding that the secretive monster-hunting coalition known as 'Equinarch to be held accountable for the incident-"

The news channels was then switched to a another news channel, and the TV now displayed an image of dead fishes on a boat.

"The recent spike in mass deaths of sea creatures in the world's oceans could be caused by efforts to locate and track the Equestrian Thorax who hasn't been seen in five years." A woman on the TV said as an image of Thorax swimming in the ocean was shown on TV.

"High ranking officials in the mysterious Equinarch organization will face another intense grilling as the government continues to push for extermination of the Equestrians." Another woman of another new channel said. "Rumors persist that Equinarch may be hiding even more monsters discovered since the attacks of 2014. A historic tragedy that changed the world, as we know it forever. The day the world discovered that monsters are real." The woman finished.

Jessica immediately turned off the TV after hearing those preposterous statements about the organization that she is working for, she and Equinarch are trying to make the world a better place. Then, the biologist walked up to her bed where a briefcase containing a device was on a bed. Once she got to it, she closed the briefcase and picked it up with her right hand, after that, she turned around and started to walk out of her bedroom.

In the kitchen of the house, a teenage girl named Lily Richard was seen looking at some messages on her computer's email while listening to music with her airpods. She scrolled down to the newest message sent to her by her father, she clicked on it and saw an image of a leopard devouring a goat. The message also read:

'Hey Lily, haven't heard from you guys in a few months. Hope you're having fun :)
Here are a few pictures of the leopard I've been studying, isn't it cute?'

Lily scrolled down to the bottom of the message and saw a picture of her and her father fishing in the lake, the nostalgia has made her smile warmly.

Lily was going to type back to her father about the situation of her mother due to her always being very depressed, but, she wasn't able to click on the send button when the fire alarm started to beep. Lily turned around and saw the frying pan releasing smoke which made her eyes widen.

"Oh no!" Lily exclaimed as she stood up from her chair, taking off her airpods in the process. Then, she ran up to the kitchen stove. "Crap! Crap! Crap!" She exclaimed.

Once she got to it, she grabbed a pair tongs and used them to pick up a piece of bacon on the dying pan but, when she picked it up from the pan, it was burnt which made her frown in response.

"Great."

"Lily?"

When Lily heard her mother, her eyes widened in horror. But, she snapped out of it and started to act natural but, it was no use.

"Good morning mom!" Lily yelled removing the frying pan from the stove.

Jessica ran up to the stove and turned the rotary switch to the left, turning the flame off in the process, while her daughter successfully placed the sweltering crying pan into the sink, cooling it with cold water from the faucet in the process. After that, Jessica tried to shut the fire alarm off by fanning the smoke away with a tea towel but, it did not work, so, she reached up to the alarm and pressed the button, then, the alarm was turned off.

"I made us some breakfast." Lily told her with an anxious chuckle. "It's a combination of scrambled eggs, toast, and what was once bacon." She finished.

Jessica then pressed a press handle of a toaster and two toasted breads jumped out of the toaster loader which the biologist took and placed them on plates.

"And which do you recommend?" Jessica asked her daughter with a chuckle.

"The toast and eggs." Lily replied.

After that, Lily turned around to her laptop and closed it, putting the computer in sleep mode in the process.

"Coffee?" Lily asked grabbing a coffee kettle and bringing it over the the counter. Then, she began to pour them into the mugs. But, Jessica wanted to find out what her daughter was researching on her laptop.

"What were you working Lily?"

"Um... I was looking at breakfast recipes." She lied.

Jessica let out a smile while sipping on her coffee. A brief second later, she lowered the mug from her mouth.

"For toasts?"

When Lily noticed that she couldn't lie to her mother anymore, she turned around to face her, letting out a defeated sigh in the process.

"Dad's been emailing me." She confessed, which made her mother sigh slightly "He is researching on his leopard right now in a forest, and he looks good." She told her as she grabbed her breakfast plate.

"Have you responded?"

"Not yet." Lily replied eating a cucumber.

"Lily, I just don't want to see you get hurt." Jessica told her with a concerned expression.

"I know." Lily mumbled with food in her mouth.

"Especially, with everything that's going on right now." Jessica added.

"Mom, I know." She told her in a slightly aggravated tone. A brief second later, Lily put her fork on her plate and grabbed a mug of water. After that, he drank the water, gulping down her food in the process. Ten seconds later, Lily put the mug back on the counter.

"Listen, I know things haven't been easy for you. But we're gonna get through this together." She assured her in a confident tone. But, Lily was not convinced.

"You sure he's gonna be okay?"

"He is in the safest place that he could be right now." Jessica told her with a smile. But, her daughter still frowned. Then, she decided to come up with a different topic "You wanna hear something good?" She asked as she placed her hand on her briefcase.

"I finished the technology."

"Really?" She asked with a perplexed expression as her mother walked up to the briefcase. Then, Lily saw her mother pulling of her jacket on the briefcase which she saw.

"You think it's gonna work?" Lily asked.

"It will, I'm positive." Jessica replied with a nod.

Suddenly, the living room started to shake slightly as if an Earthquake was happening right now, the shake was also making the lights of the living room flicker too. And Lily had a slightly fearful expression on her face. A brief second later, a young roar was heard in the distance following up by the sound of something charging up, then, the shaking stopped.

Jessica then walked up to the large window of her house with her daughter following up from behind. Once they got to the window, Lily took a deep breath and exhaled it, calming herself down in the process. Then, one of Jessica's colleagues called her through her radio.

"Dr. Richard, we need you in containment."

Jessica lifted the radio in her right arm up and placed her radio near her mouth.

"I'm on my way."

Birth of an Equestrian

Equinarch outpost 64
Baeksasil Valley, South Korea

In the outpost where the loud sounds were produced in, Dr. Jessica Richard was seen walking through a rocky corridor along with a South Korean Equinarch scientist, while Lily was following them up from behind to investigate the sudden noise produced. During their walk, Jessica decided to ask her colleague what had happened.

"What happened Byung?" Jessica asked with a perplexed expression.

"I have no idea." Byung replied with a shrug "She was sleeping comfortably like a baby until an hour ago, and then, boom. Her radiation levels skyrocketed to the roof! Almost like something triggered it." He told her.

"Thank you for disclosing Byung." Jessica said with a smile "I can take it from here buddy, why don't you get some rest?" She offered.

"Thank you but no." Byung said with a chuckle "Sleep or no sleep, I'm not missing this." He told her sternly.

While walking Lily was seen scrutinizing the rocky corridor with an astonished expression, not once has her mother brought her into here before. This was all new to her.

Her mother and Byung then walked into the control room while Lily stopped to look at something that caught her attention. The young teenager looked up at a wall and saw what looks to be like a cave painting of a unicorn with wings which perplexed her, not once in her life has she seen an animal like that before. A brief second later, Lily turned around to catch up with her mother in the control room.

After walking up the three metal stairs, Lily was now in the control room, catching up to her mother and Byung in the process. The three of them then walked to a large window at the from of the room, and Lily saw what looks to be like a giant glowing purple flower in front of her which flabbergasted her completely, but, it had no stem.

"Containment team, move into primary position."

Then, American and South Korean containment units in hazmat suits walked up to the circular area of the platform that was around the glowing flower. Once they walked up from stairs, the group split up into six and now, six of them were on the left side, while the other six were on the right.

"Sedatives?" Jessica asked.

"No effect." Byung told her "This thing wants to be awake." He finished.

Around the catwalk platform, the containment unit were seen studying the petals of the large glowing purple flower and saw that it was beeping like a heart beat.

"Emergency protocol is in effect. Ten seconds to biocontainment."

"She's going to wake up." Jessica told her daughter.

A brief second later, the petals of the flower started to bloom. Once all of the petals were bloomed, a giant purple creature with a unicorn horn, purple wings, four hooves, dark blue, purple, and pink mane and hair, purple ears, and a sparkle mark on it's left flank appeared out of the huge flower which astonished the workers in the control room. When the creature sat up straight after waking up from her flower, she turned her body around and saw twelve bipedal creatures in these weird blue suits while holding strange metal objects in their hands, she then let out a gibber which was no surprising due to her being a young baby foal. Now, Jessica, Lily, Byung, and the scientists in the control room could see her four little hooves, and her eyes.

"Meet Equestrian Twilight Sparkle." Byung told them "According to the book, she is an alicorn." He added.

"Wow." Lily said with an astonished expression.

"Incredible." Jessica said with an astonished expression of her own. Then, the computer started to announce something.

"Activating containment grid."

Then, blue lasers surrounded the huge foal which startled her. But to Twilight, they were strange blue magical beams. Suddenly, the grid began to turn into a red colour and sparks were seen flying down from the top, a brief second later, the lasers were gone.

"What's happening?" Jessica asked her colleagues behind her.

Back outside, Twilight suddenly, placed her from right hoof down onto the catwalk so that she can stand on four hooves, but, the impact has broke some of the equipments on there as well as startling the containment unit in the process. Then, they all aimed their electrical rifles at it.

In the control room, scientists were trying to get the containment grid back online but, nothing seems to be working. Then, a warning sigh appeared on all of their screens.

"Something's really wrong here." Byung said with a concerned expression, then, Jessica walked up to him "Containment systems are failing. Perimeter alarms are going off, the whole network's going insane." He told her.

"What do you mean? How is that possible?" Jessica asked with a worried expresison of her own. To Byung, this could only mean one thing.

"I think someone is hacking into our system."

A brief second later, the whole outpost stared to shake due to the alicorn foal Twilight Sparkle roaring with fear in her eyes. And Jessica could see why she was petrified.

"Containment team, stand down." She ordered "I repeat stand down, you guys are intimidating her." She told them.

One of the containment team members were going to zap her on the left side of the torso with his electrical rifle, when Twilight noticed this, she slammed her front right hoof down near the worker which made him fall onto the floor.

When that happened, another team member aimed his rifle up and shot electricity directly at the foal's torso, and that made it roar in pain. A brief second later, she looked down at all of the workers with an enraged expression so, she charged up her horn and blasted her magic at the workers. When the beams collided into them, they were instantly incinerated.

The remaining three decided to retreat back into the control room but, one worker unfortunately did not make it when Twilight leaned her head down towards him and grabbed onto him with her teeth which made the worker panic in response. After that, Twilight threw the worker to her left, and the worker crashed into the wall.

Back in the control room, Byung has seen enough, he couldn't risk to see any more of his friend getting maimed and killed by Twilight so, he flipped open a button case and attempted to press the red button which activates the electricity. However, Jessica stopped him.

"No!" Jessica yelled as she pushed his hand away.

"Jessica I am sorry but, we have no choice but to exterminate her." He told her sternly.

"I'll handle this." She told him. After that, the biologist walked towards her briefcase on the floor. Once she got to it, she bent down, picked it up and started to head towards that door that leads to the catwalk.

"Mom, no." Lily said with a concerned expression. But, her mother was confident.

"Lily, stay here. It's going to work."

After that, Jessica walked towards the door on the left side of the control room. Once she got to it, she tapped on an access panel with her ID card, unlocking the door in the process. After that, she gripped into the handle and pulled the door open, walking through it and closing it behind her in the process. Then, the biologist stood still and the containment spray system sprayed her with white substances for a brief second. Once that was finished, Jessica walked out of the room and looked in front of her to see an angry Twilight Sparkle roaring in front of her with angry eyes, knocking over a giant rock in the process. But, she was still not scared.

"It's okay." Jessica assured herself as she slowly began to approach the angry and terrified Twilight Sparkle.

Back in the control room, Lily was seen looking through the window towards her mother with a worried expression. She is gonna get herself killed! Suddenly, Twilight slammed her right hoof on the platform which nearly made the Dr loose her balance but, she was okay. Then, the alicorn foal stood up straight.

During that, Jessica placed her briefcase down on the platform floor and unlocked it. He flipped open a case which revealed a device that she and her team invented, and this technology is known as the 'Transmitter'. Specifically designed to produce animal sounds that can calm or attract an Equestrian. She turned it on and the technologies components were turned on, then, she began operate the transmitter..

However, Twilight saw the technology as a detrimental weapon to her so, she charged her horn again and prepared to fire her magic at the bipedal creature which Jessica heard.

"Oh no."

Then, Twilight fired a magical beam at Jessica which she dodged instantly.

"Mom!" Lily screamed fearfully from the control room. She then turned around and grabbed Byung's ID card and headed straight towards the door.

"Lily wait!" Byung said running to catch up to her, but, she already entered through the containment spray system. "Hey get back in here!" He exclaimed while banging on the door, but, she disregarded him.

When Jessica heard the sound of spray spraying from the containment spray room, she turned around and saw her daughter running up to her which made her eyes widen in fear.

"Lily go back!" She yelled, but, her daughter did not listen to her as she continued to run towards her.

"Mom let's go!" Lily exclaimed, but, she was still trying to get the sound in the technology to operate.

Suddenly, Twilight Sparkle stood up straight again and glared angrily towards the two bipedal creatures in front of her which she thought her here to menace her.

When Jessica noticed this, she decided to do things quicker so that she and her daughter would be safe. After clicking on the screen a few times, it displayed words saying 'Alpha Frequency Found'. Jessica then immediately pressed on the button. However, Twilight leaned in again and roared at the two of them which made them both hug each other in fear as the breath of the alicorn foal gushed towards them.

Miraculously, there was no harm for them today as the transmitter began to emit a wonderful tune for her which instantly calmed her down, growling softly in the process.

When Jessica and Lily felt Twilight moving her head away from them, they opened their eyes and looked up at the giant alicorn and saw that she was smiling down on them. Jessica increased the volume of the technology and saw that Twilight really liked it.

"Amazing." Said Byung in the control room. "It worked." He finished with an astonished expression.

Jessica and Lily both stood up from the floor at the same time and looked at Twilight with smile of their own. Then, Lily stretched her right arm forward and reached for Twilight's muzzle with her right hand. A brief second later, Lily has successfully touched the alicorn foal's muzzle and was now rubbing her soft fur. Then, Twilight roared happily at them which made Lily and Jessica laugh in unison, they have now gained Twilight's trust.

Back in the control room, Byung and his workers were looking at Twilight with astonished expressions after the ordeal but suddenly, an explosion erupted behind them which made them all fall on the floor.

"Whoa!" Jessica exclaimed hugging her daughter.

Then, military personnels stormed the room and fired bullets at the workers with their assault rifles, and the Equinarch scientists screamed in pain, leaving Byung to be the only man still alive.

The scientist looked up and saw an elderly man walking up to the control room and towards him which made him stand up straight. He was expecting a conversation to happen but suddenly, the man aimed a pistol at him which made him raise both his hands in the air in apprehension, but, the man shot through Byung's head with his gun, shattering the glass window behind him in the process.

"Ahhhh!" Lily screamed.

Jessica looked in front of her and noticed that the man was quite familiar.

"Mom, who is that?" Lily asked with a petrified expression.

The man then looked up at the creature above him and was truly flabbergasted by it. He then looked down and saw a device behind the Dr and her daughter. The man must assume that the Dr used this technology to awaken the creature. Then, a sinister expression appeared on his face.

US Senate

In the United States Senate building in the United States capital Washington DC, the Equinarch organization were seen holding a meeting with the Senators of the building in a room about the incident that occured five years ago. Then, an Equinarch scientist named Nigel Merlin began presenting a video of the Equestrians that were captured by surveillance cameras in San Francisco. The first video displayed a video of Thorax and Gilda battling in San Francisco.

"What we are witnessing here, senators. Is the return of ancient forgotten super species." Nigel told them, then the large TV on the right displayed videos of four Equestrians "Thorax, the griffons, Twilight Sparkle." He finished, then, he began to talk about the reason of their presence in their world.

"We believe that these 'Equestrians' and others like them provide a significant balance to our world. And while may pose a threat, Equinarch is bravely prepared to determine which of these Equestrians are here to imperil us, and which of these Equestrians are here to protect us." Nigel delineated "The evidence from the surveillance camera footages recovered from San Francisco proves that Thorax, is a nice Equestrian." He told them, however, the senators were not convinced.

"Thank you for your presentation Mr. Merlin." A man said "But we still haven't heard one good reason why Equinarch shouldn't fall under military jurisdiction, or why these monsters shouldn't be exterminated when we have the chance. The Equinarch organization had an obligation of studying and destroying these radioactive monsters. But you either can't or won't tell us how many more are showing up, or why they're showing up. So, maybe it's time for the military to put them down." He told them. However, a Japanese man objected about this decision.

"Killing them would be a big mistake." Toshihiro said sternly "They returned because of what we're doing to our world. It was our atomic bomb testing that awoke Thorax. Other creatures like the Griffons, from strip mining and seismic surveys. But these are not monsters. They are animals rising to protect the world so that they can keep peace and order." He delineated. Then, the man rolled his eyes.

"It almost sounds like you're protecting them, doctor Yasushi." He told him "As if you admire them." He finished.

"I admire all forms of life." Toshihiro told him, then, he stood up from his chair "Senators, if we hope to survive, we must find a way to coexist peacefully with the Equestrians. With Thorax." He finished sternly which made the Senators perplexed, then, Toshihiro's wife Satomi decided to speak up for her husband as he sat back down on his chair.

"A sort of symbiotic relationship if you will."

"Or the scorpion or the frog." The man said "So you'd want to make Thorax our ally?" He asked raising his right eyebrow in confusion. However, Toshihiro thought the opposite way.

"No." The doctor replied shaking his head "We will be his." He told them.

Then, some of the senators in the room all erupted into laughter from Toshihiro's preposterous remark. Why would they ever want to side with a giant monster that was well over 300 feet?

Satomi was going to speak up but then, she received a message on her phone so, she grabbed it out of her pocket with her right hand and turned it on. After that, she saw that she has received two messages from the Equinarch organization. She then showed the messages to her husband and he was surprised.

"We must go." She told him quietly. Then, she looked at Nigel who was trying to clarify Toshihiro's words to them "Sam we have to go." She whispered to him. Then, Toshihiro, Satomi, and Nigel all stood up from their chairs and started to make their ways to the exit of the building.

"Doctor Toshihiro, Doctor Satomi, this meeting is not adjourned." The man told them but, they disregarded them "Doctor Toshihiro, I hope you understand the repercussions of walking out that door." He warned them. Then, Nigel stepped in and decided to present another information to them.

"Uh, you know what senators, while I have a discussion with my colleagues here,I'm gonna show you guys a brief video proving that Thorax is a heroic Equestrian." Nigel said as he turned on the TV with a remote. After that, the TV displayed a video of Thorax battling Gallus and Gilda in San Francisco as well as leaving them alone in the end "As you can see here, Thorax saved many civilians from Gallus and Gilda five years ago in San Francisco which proves that he is not a rouge Equestrian." He told them with a chuckle but, the senators were still not convinced.

Pennsylvania, 5:30pm

In a large forest in Pennsylvania, a ravenous leopard was seen devouring an unfortunate deer for dinner. However, a kilometer away from them, a man was seen taking pictures of the wild animal. And the man's name is Elliot Richard, he is a former Equinarch scientist, the ex-husband to Jessica, and the father of Lily. Elliot was seen snapping pictures of the leopard while listening to it's growling noises. At first, everything seemed equanimous but suddenly, the leopard turned around and started to run away back into the forest.

When Elliot noticed this, he stood up from the ground and scrutinized his surroundings to see if there was another prey here but then, he heard some noises in the sky. The scientist looked up and saw a giant military tiltrotor in the sky landing on the ground near where the leopard was having it's feast. The door slid down and Elliot saw three familiar people exiting the large aircraft, these people were his colleagues in the Equinarch organization. He then let out a sigh.

"Why are they here?" He asked himself in his head.

Elliot lead Toshihiro, Satomi, and Nigel to his house in the forest after a ten minutes walk. Once they were in the house, Elliot asked them why they were here, and Toshihiro and Satomi showed him a video footage that was captured on a surveillance camera in one of the Equinarch outpost's in South Korea on a computer. Elliot looked at the computer screen and saw something that shocked him. In the video were his ex-wife Jessica, and daughter Lily being guided by a group of military personnels.

"We're afraid that your ex-wife and daughter have been captured Elliot. We're very sorry." Toshihiro said with a sympathetic expression.

"I should've been there for her." Elliot said with a shocked expression, then, he looked at Toshihiro "Who are they?" He asked demanding an answer.

"We do not know yet." Satomi replied with a shrug, then, she walked to the computer and tapped on the screen which showed an image of a catwalk platform "But, we believe that they were after this technology." She told him as she zoomed in on the technology that Jessica was holding.

"Oh my goodness." Elliot said with a traumatized expression. He knew what this technology was.

"It's called the transmitter." Nigel told him "And uh... that's why we think they needed Jessica. She believed that if we could somehow replicate the biosonar the Equestrians used to communicate-"

"I know what that piece of junk is." Elliot cut him off with a slightly angry expression "I helped build the stupid prototype." He finished, then, he looked at Toshihiro.

"Who is he?" Elliot asked, then, the man decided to introduce himself.

"The name's Nigel Merlin sir, I'm also a biologist like your wife. I joined Equinarch shortly after you, uh, left." He introduced himself as he stretched his right arm out. But, Elliot did not bother so, Nigel respected him and backed away his arm.

"I'm a big fan of your wife's work, and you as well." He told him with a smile.

Elliot was perplexed about one thing though, so, he decided to get some answers from Toshihiro.

"Jessica and I destroyed the prototype though."

"And then she decided to rebuild it." Satomi told him which made Elliot roll his eyes in aggravation due to his wife's impulsiveness. "After the incident that occured in San Francisco five years ago, she went home to Chicago, and spent years developing it." She finished.

Elliot was so angry about this, why would his wife want to rebuild something that he and she destroyed?

"And what is this going to achieve?"

"It's used to help prevent another attack." Satomi replied simply.

"The transmitter was a grad school science project that was meant to keep whales away from the shoreline." Elliot delineated the technology "Not so you could talk to those colourful giant monsters out there." He told them.

Toshihiro wanted to talk about this but then, Elliot immediately cut him off.

"Listen to me, they'll think it's one of them." He told them "You use the wrong frequency on one of them, and you're going to be responsible for 1,000 San Francisco citizens." He warned them.

"Which is why we need to get it back." Toshihiro told him "Jessica always said no one knew this technology better than you do." He said with a smile.

"It shouldn't even exist." Elliot told him sternly. Then, he turned around and walked to the sink area and looked out the window.

"That may be Elliot. But, it's fallen into the wrong hands of these people. And right now, the transmitter is the only thing keeping Jessica and Lily alive." He told him but, Elliot was still angry so, Satomi decided to talk.

"Elliot, we know that you're hurting right now. But, the faster we find the transmitter, the sooner we'll save your family." She told him. "I promise." She said.

Elliot began to ponder about this hypothetical situation for a bit. Does he really want to embark on this hazardous journey? Currently he is still grieving after the loss of his son five years ago in San Francisco but, he does not want to see Jessica and Lily getting maimed by those military officers too. A brief second later, he turned around and looked at them with a defeated expression.

"I'm in."

"Yes!" Nigel cheered with a smile. Then, he soon lowered his hands when his colleagues stared at him with perplexed expressions "Sorry." He told them.

In the skies, Elliot and his colleagues were seen riding the tiltrotor to their destination. During the trip, Satomi decided to talk to Elliot a bit to see how he's doing

"When was the last time you spoke to Jessica?" She asked.

"About four years ago." He replied with a slightly dejected tone "After San Francisco, we went back home to Chicago. Tried to put the pieces back together. Jessica dealt with it by doubling down on saving the entire world, and I started drinking countless of beers in order to relieve my stress. I can't tell you how much I hated myself for letting Lily see me that way." He finished.

At first, everything was silent, but then, Nigel and Toshihiro walked up to the two of them.

"Mind if we cut it here?" Nigel asked, and Elliot was baffled "It's just, you're gonna want to see this." He told him giving him a panel which Elliot took. He looked down on it and it showed the 'transmitter'.

"Jessica combined the bioacoustics of different Equestrians to create the transmitter's signal. A baseline frequency that all the creatures respond to. Attracting them, repelling them, even sometimes calming them down. It's pretty astonishing really." Nigel delineated with a chuckle.

Elliot swiped the screen and it showed the frequencies of the Equestrians starting with: Twilight Sparkle, Garble, and Thorax.

"The problem is we don't know which Equestrian she combined. But if you can identify those frequencies, we'll be able to tract the transmitter, as well as Jessica and Lily." Satomi told him as Elliot swiped to the other Equestrians and their frequencies dubbed: Shining Armor, Silver spoon, Rover, and Rainbow Dash. The man was completely flabbergasted by how many they were.

"Holy crap, how many of these things are there?" He asked with a slightly traumatized expression.

"Eighteen." Toshihiro replied "And counting after Thorax." He told him.

"Eighteen?" Elliot said with an incredulous expression.

"Most of them are discovered in deep hibernation." Satomi told him "While others we've contained in top secret sites around the world including: India, New Zealand, Brazil, Thailand, Equestrian island and many more. We even found one in Greenland." She finished as Elliot swiped to a slide which showed all Equinarch outpost's built in certain countries.

"Why didn't you guys kill them?"

"The government wants to." Toshihiro told him "However, Jessica and I believe that some are benevolent." He added which made Elliot perplexed.

"Don't be ridiculous doctor." Elliot told him. He then tried to dispute about this but then, the pilot spoke up.

"We have arrived at our destination guys."

Elliot walked to the cockpit of the tiltrotor and looked through the window in front of him. At first, all he saw was clouds but, a brief second later, an oil rig was seen in front of them. Then, the pilot tapped on the communication unit of the aircraft and began to communicate with her colleagues.

"Castle Delta this is Tango one, I'll direct approach." The pilot informed them.

Equinarch outpost 57

The pilot of the tiltrotor flew up above the oil rig and positioned it until she was hovering above the helipad. Then, her colleagues began to communicate back.

"Tango one, you are cleared for landing."

After that, the helipad of the oil rig slid open and the pilot began to descend slowly onto the bottom helipad of the oil rig, during the landing, Elliot was flabbergasted by the place.

"Well this is new."

"Indeed." Nigel agreed with a nod "We call her Castle Delta. Our new flag ship facility built to track and study Thorax on his own turf." He told him which got him perplexed.

"I thought he was missing."

"Well, only if you know where to look."

Ten seconds later, the tiltrotor slowly descended into the bottom helipad of Castle Delta with a worker directing the pilot's land. Once it reached the ground, the pilot activated the landing gear and landed perfectly onto the helipad. Elliot looked out one of the window's of the aircraft so that he could scrutinize the place, and he was flabbergasted by how big it is.

"Wow."

Meeting

Castle Delta, meeting room

In a meeting room in castle Delta, Equinarch scientists and military officers were holding an urgent meeting about the recent breach in one of their outpost's which lead to deaths and abduction of two citizens known as Jessica and Lily. Satomi was seen disclosing information to her colleagues about the incident.

"As you all know, approximately seven-hundred hours ago, one of our containment site's in South Korea's Baeksasil Valley was raided." Satomi informed them, "The Equestrian, named Twilight Sparkle, escaped. Only to shield herself with magic in a large cave that she dug with her magic." She finished as she displayed a video of the young alicorn Twilight Sparkle hiding in a cave and surrounding herself with her magic. The footage was caught on tape by military helicopters. Then, she decided to tell them who infiltrated the outpost.

"Meanwhile, Dr. Jessica Richard and her daughter Lily were taken hostage." She told them "This is the man responsible, Alexander Brad. He is a former Canadian military colonel who turned rogue. Obsessed with restoring natural order. And fund his operation, he began trafficking in a new and hazardous market. Equestrian DNA." She finished as she displayed an image of the former military colonel.

"Question." A soldier said raising his hand.

"Yes?"

"What would someone want to do with a giant oversized unicorn with wings?" He asked with a perplexed expression.

"Isn't it obvious Russell?" A scientist named Conner asked "I mean, what can't you do with it? You can ride on her back and fly to the skies, play magic with each other, send each other to fantasy lands, pharmaceuticals, and many more." He answered in a sarcastic tone which made Russell even more confused.

"Heck, why wouldn't any companies or nations around the world want to get their hands on one of these suckers?" He asked "And remember, she is just a little foal which is a baby in horse terms. When it grows up, it would turn into something more intimidating." He warned while looking at a rotating computer image of the young Twilight Sparkle on the right side of the screen.

"We don't know that Connor." A Chinese woman named Xiang Xue told him with a roll of her eyes in aggravation. "Although it did harm some workers in the outpost but,she was just defending herself." She finished.

"Oh yeah?" Connor asked with a raise of his right eyebrow "Just wait for it, Xiang." He told her which made her sigh in aggravation again. Then, the colonel Nova Ellis began to talk.

"Our Intel indicates that Brad wants to capture this specimen alive." She told them as she walked forward. "Which means that he and his mercs won't be far behind. At five in the morning, we'll ship out to launch a joint operation." She informed them. However, Elliot did not approve of this.

"I wouldn't bother this." Elliot told them.

"Excuse me?" Nova asked.

"Sounds like a duck hunt to me." He commented sarcastically. When Nigel noticed this, he tried to talk him down.

"Uh Elliot, why don't we let colonel Nova finish-"

"A decoy, a diversion." Elliot told her as he stood up from his chair "Look, they've already got Jessica and the transmitter. Why would they want just this one when they've got the keys to turn your entire magic kingdom of horrors back here?" He asked sarcastically as pointed back at him.

"I think that they want you to go after this Twilight Sparkle so that they can go after a real prize." Elliot assumed "Something bigger." He warned.

"Right." Nova said, unable to comprehend. Then, Toshihiro decided to talk.

"Elliot." Toshihiro called "They've done this before. This is not the first Equestrian they've captured. They know what they are doing." He assured him.

"That's not just an ordinary animal in the zoo." Elliot said "I've got an ex-wife and daughter out there, In case you forgot." He reminded him with a stern expression.

"No. None of us have forgotten that Elliot." Nigel told him with a shrug. "But, uh, to remind you, you were brought on here to help track the transmitter, and to advise us-"

"I'd advise you to kill these things." He demanded sternly "All of them. Especially him." He finished pointing at Thorax on a screen behind him. Then, Toshihiro shook his head from this reckless attempt.

"You wanna make sure these things don't fall into the wrong hands?" Elliot asked them, and some of the soldiers in the room nodded "Then kill them, and the transmitter will be useless." He said.

"Jessica wouldn't have wanted that Elliot." Xiang told him "Even to save her life." She finished which made Elliot sigh in frustration.

"Well, it wouldn't be the first time Jessica put all of this before herself." Elliot said "Or her family, would it?" He asked.

When everyone in the room heard his question, they were all silent due to his current anger and hatred towards the Equestrians. There are some crucial points that he is missing about this operation, but, his misunderstanding towards Thorax has blinded him from them.

When Elliot noticed that everyone was silent, he let out a vexed groan and turned around to face the meeting room doors. After that, he walked through the left side of the glass door and exited the room with an angry expression. Leaving the scientists and the Equinarch military men shocked and bewildered.

"What is his problem?"

"The guy hates Equestrians." A soldier named Samuel replied "He is missing the most significant points of these Equestrians." He added.

"Can't blame him Samuel." Nigel told him with a shrug "He lost his son during the cataclysmic event that occured in San Francisco five years ago. After all, you would be just the same as him as well if you'd experienced something similar to him." He told him.

Toshihiro sighed softly after that ordeal, trying to convince Elliot that some of the Equestrians aren't their enemies is going to be very difficult.

First contact

Antartica

In the snowy skies in Antartica, a tiltrotor aircraft carrying a group of soldiers was seen flying in the skies to a location where they will commence their operation. And the aircraft belonged to non other than the group of soldiers who infiltrated the outpost in South Korea. Then, the pilot of the air raft began to contact with the Equinarch military men in the outpost of the continent.

"Outpost thirty-four, this is Alpha four, on approach with reinforcements and supplies. Requesting permission to land." The pilot informed in a way to trick them. "Yasushi has all sites on high alert, so transmitting emergency codes now." He finished, then, a reply came back.

"Copy that Alpha four. Codes are good. Nice to have you back."

In the aircraft Jessica and Lily were seen seated on the middle left side of the place, and Lily had an anxious expression on her she to her witnessing the soldiers loading their rifles in a way to express that they were ready for combat. The teenage girl then looked up to her mother and saw that she was not agitated whatsoever which made her perplexed.

"Why isn't mom scared right now?"

Antartica
Equinarch outpost 34
9:30pm

In the Equinarch outpost in Antartica, the tiltrotor was seen making a landing in front of the outpost. Once it was on the ground, Alexander ordered his men to exit the plane which they did once they stood up. After that, the soldiers walked out of the plane with some lifting two crates. Then, the former colonel walked out after them. Once they were out, they were immediately greeted by two Equinarch soldiers walking up to them.

"Nice to see you guys." One of them said with a smile "Need a hand with offload?" He asked.

"No, we're good." Alexander told him "We're gonna put it over at bay five." He finished.

However, one of the soldiers grew suspicious of these people which Alexander immediately noticed. Then, the Equinarch soldier walked up to the group. When Alexander noticed this, he turned his head to his left and nodded at one of his men. After that, Alexander's men aimed their rifles at the soldiers and fired at them.

Back in the tiltrotor, Jessica and Lily could hear the loud gunshots firing outside as well as her grunting of other people outside. This has prompted Jessica to embrace her daughter in a hug, in attempt to sooth her fear.

"I'm terrified mom."

"Me too Lily."

A brief second later, all of the gunshots have stopped. Then, Jessica heard some footsteps entering the aircraft. She released from her hug and looked up to see Alexander walking back into the plane.

"Let's go."

After that, Jessica and Lily both stood up from their seats and walked out of the tiltrotor with Jessica carrying the transmitter. Then, Alexander began to guide them to the entrance of the outpost with two soldiers behind the two of them. While walking, Lily witnessed the bodies of the Equinarch soldiers that these people had killed, and the sight has scandalized her.

"Eyes straight ahead Lily." Jessica told her "Deep breaths, just like we talked about." She reminded her.

Once they were in the outpost, Alexander and his men began to guide the two through the hallway of the outpost, and to an elevator where they will hitch a ride to one of the basement levels. Once they got into the elevator, the former military colonel pressed a button which shut the elevator doors closed. Now, it began to go down to the basement level that they are going to go into.

During the ride, Lily was looking at Alexander with some much hatred towards him for abducting her and her mother like that for no reason. But, when he turned his head to look at her, Lily immediately looked back forward.

Fifteen seconds later, the group have arrived at the destination, and the doors of the elevator slid open which made Lily hold her mother's hand. After that, the group exited the elevator where there were more of Alexander's soldiers working, and they immediately saw something in front of them.

"Wow, she had nothing to do with this." Alexander said with an astonished expression.

In front of them all was a giant dragon frozen solid in ice. Lily scrutinized the giant frozen dragon for a second and realized what it was.

"Equestrian three." She gasped.

The group then walked into a circular hallway that was covered with canopy so that they could reach monster three. After walking in the hallway for six seconds, the group made a right turn where they were now standing in front of the large frozen dragon. Jessica placed her right hand on the ice and felt the dragon's heart beat beating.

"Any survivors?" Alexander asked.

"No." One of his men replied with a shake of his head "They tried to launch an emergency beacon, but we cut them off in time." He told him which made Alexander smile in satisfaction. But, he wasn't going to disregard this.

"They'll figure it out and arrive here anyways." He warned them "Fire up the drills." He ordered.

Then, some soldiers walked back and began to head to a panel where they will activate the drills. During that, Alexander looked at Jessica.

"Do you have everything you need?"

"Yes." She replied with a nod.

"Good." He said with a smile "Let's get started." He said.

Then, everyone began to do their roles. Four soldiers activated four drills and began to drill some holes into the ice while being careful in not to make contact with the huge dragon. During that, Jessica turned on the transmitter and pressed a button, after that, the screen displayed words saying 'Transmitter analyzing specimen bioacoustics 0% complete'.

While the technology was processing, Jessica looked back in front of her and saw her daughter placing her right hand against the large solid ice. During that, she can feel the heartbeat of Equestrian three which made her gasp. A brief second later, lights attached to parts of the ice began to glow which immediately transferred data to the transmitter as it began to analyze monster three's bioacoustics.

In Castle Delta, Elliot was seen sitting in a chair in an office while looking at a video of him and his family having fun together years ago before the incident that occured in San Francisco on a computer. In the video, Jessica was seen making her way to the living room.

"We have some Jurassic situation in the living room."

Once Jessica made it to the living room, Elliot's son Lucas was seen putting a dinosaur cap on his father's head while he and young Lily were laughing suddenly, Elliot spotted something which made him tell his kids to stop. Young Lily and Lucas looked behind them and saw their mother.

"A prey! Get her!" Elliot exclaimed.

After that, Lily and Elliot began to chase Jessica out of the house while laughing.

"Dinosaur kisses!"

Elliot couldn't help but let out a smile from that wonderful time. But suddenly, some rumbling noises stopped him which made him perplexed. Then, a brief second later, the rumbling noises got stronger which affected electronics in the oil rig. After that, a person speaker through the speakers.

"All personnel, report to battle stations. This is not a drill, this is a code red."

When Elliot heard this, he stood up from his seat and exited the office as titanium doors shielded a window near him. After that, he started to follow the personnels to the battle station.

After running for ten seconds, Elliot has arrived at the battle station. He then walked up to Xiang.

"What's happening?" He asked.

"Something's wrong." She replied "He's never been this close before." She told him as she began to move to another area.

"Who's he?" Elliot asked with a perplexed expression.

"Who do you think?"

Elliot was baffled by this but then, he realized who 'he' was. It was Thorax.

"He's taking out our observation drones." Satomi told her husband with a worried expression.

"Trajectory?" Toshihiro asked looking back at him.

"Straight at us, 13,00 meters and closing in." Connor replied.

"T-team. Baxter, Russell, Terry, I want you on those CROWS now." Nova ordered.

"You heard the colonel, let's move!" Exclaimed Baxter as he and both his colleagues ran to the seats of the CROWS. Once they got to them, they say on the seats and prepared the weapons by grabbing onto the control sticks of the weapons. After that, they put on some headphones and cannons appeared out of Castle Delta. Then, shields shielded the large window of the battle station.

"Doctor Connor." Toshihiro called him "Do you have his bioacoustics?" He asked walking forward slightly.

"Acoustics coming up." Connor told him looking at a screen on his left which displayed a sonar scanner. And on the scanner, it detected a large creature outside. There's no doubt that it was Thorax. "Okay, he's closing. We're at 700 meters." He warned.

"His movements are erratic." Satomi told them "Heart beat, and breathing are skyrocketing to the roof." She warned which made some of the personnels anxious.

"Yeah, he's definitely not thrilled about something." Connor told them.

"How are they getting all of this?" Elliot asked Xiang.

"Jessica isolated Thorax's bioacoustics." She replied as Elliot began to stare at a screen that shows Thorax's bioacoustics "It allows us to track him. Even to get his vitals." She added.

Suddenly, the whole room started to shake violently like an Earthquake occuring which nearly made the people in the room loose their balances as well as startling some of them. Connor looked down on the sonar again and saw Thorax circling around them.

"He's now circling around us, closing in 200 meters." He warned.

"Colonel." Toshihiro called. Then, she began to order all of her men once again.

"All teams in position, weapons hot." She ordered.

After that, Baxter, Russell, and Terry armed the cannons by flipping up the small red covers of them.

"Come on, come on." Russell said while breathing.

"Hold your fire." Toshihiro ordered raising his right hand "We don't know if he'll attack us or not." He said.

"Oh he will if you keep those weapons on him." Elliot warned him "Now I want him dead more than anybody, but unless this is a fight gHt you know that you can win, for our safety just stand down." He told him.

Suddenly, the whole room started to shake violently again and this time, it was stronger which affected some electronics as well as nearly making things fall to the floor. A brief second later, everything was back to normal. And Toshihiro acknowledged Elliot's logical words.

"Stand down." He ordered.

"You can't be serious." Nova said with an incredulous expression.

"I am." He told her with a stern expression. "Stand down." He repeated.

When the colonel heard this, she let out a sigh due to her knowing that she would loose the fight so, she began to order her men to stand down.

"Stand down."

When Baxter, Russell, and Terry heard the order, they immediately released their hands from the control sticks. After that, Thorax's heart beat and breathing started to diminish slight in a way to express that he is calming down.

"Listen." Xiang said as everyone silenced. Then, they could hear the slow beating of Thorax's heart "His heart rate is slowing down." She told them.

Elliot then let out a sigh as he is about to tell them to do a thing that he would regret doing. But, it was necessary.

"Open the shields." Elliot told them which made everyone's eyes widen.

"Oh yeah, let's bring him in for a beer." Connor commented on Elliot's order sarcastically "Are you out of your damn mind?!" He exclaimed.

"We have to let him know that we are not a threat."

When Toshihiro heard this logical statement, he turned his head around and looked at Connor.

"Do it."

Connor then let out a defeated sigh first before pressing a button which opened the shields of the windows. While the shields were slowly sliding open, the crew were immediately met with a bright green flash of light which made some workers shield their eyes. The crew looked forward and saw the Equestrian Thorax swimming towards their base with his green magic glowing in his eyes, horn, deer horns, and shelled wings which changed their colours too.

"What's with the light show?" Russell asked.

"It's an intimidation display." Satomi replied.

"That's good to know because, I'm very intimidated." Nigel said breathing slightly.

"I don't think it's for us." Said Xiang.

Elliot then walked forward towards the window at the front of the battle station, and his exertion has made Toshihiro worried.

"What are you doing dude?" Connor asked.

But Elliot disregarded him, he continued to walk towards the large window so that Thorax could see him. Once he got to it, he and Thorax were now staring face to face with each other, and the changeling had a slightly angry expression on his face but, Elliot continued to remain equanimous so that he knows that he and his friends are not here to menace him. A brief second later, the glowing stopped, and everyone let out a relived sigh.

"Hehe, what could've possibly gone worse than that?" Connor asked.

Then on cue, Thorax made a 360 degrees turn letting out a roar in the process, and his 540 feet long tail swung by them which startled them all in the process as well as making some workers fall on the ground in the process. A brief second later, Thorax has successfully turned away from castle Delta and was now swimming away.

"Can we, have the shields back on please." Connor begged.

"Show me his territorial routes." Elliot said running for them.

"What? Why?" Connor asked in a perplexed tone.

"Because I want to start a boat tour so just show me."

"Alright, coming right up."

Then, the screen that Elliot was staring at displayed an image of the global map.

"Care to tell us what you're looking for Me. Richard?" Nova asked.

"From an animal lease it's hunting ground, it's usually because it's threatened by something." Elliot replied to them which made Satomi's eyes widen.

"Run a course projection." Satomi ordered. Then, Elliot looked back at Toshihiro.

"We gotta go after him." He told him with a desperate expression "He's looking for something out there, it could be the transmitter." He finished.

When Toshihiro heard this, he turned around and looked at Connor to know Thorax's route that he is currently taking.

"Connor, what's your projection?"

"All pads have him landing in the same place." Connor replied, then, he looked at them "He's heading towards Antarctica." He told them, and that made Elliot smile.

"Good then." He said turning around "I mean let's go, let's go find him let's-"

Elliot stopped in his sentence when he noticed all of the concerned expressions on his colleagues face. That has made him even more bewildered.

"Wait, what's in Antarctica?" He asked.

The awakening part 2

After Jessica pushed the red button on the detonator, the bombs in the giant solid ice all exploded in unison which shook the entire outpost. It even made Colonel Nova loose her balance and fall off the platform, but, she was able to grip onto the handrail of it. Elliot nearly lost his balance but, he was able to lean against a metal pole. He then looked back in front of him and saw Jessica and Lily running to one of the elevator's of the outpost which made his eyes widen.

"Lily!" He exclaimed fearfully.

"Dad!" Lily exclaimed. But, she, her mom, and her abductors have already ran into the elevator.

When Elliot noticed ice blocks dropping down towards him, he jumped back into an elevator so that he doesn't get crushed. He the looked up and saw his daughter and ex-wife already heading up in the elevator with the hostile forces. This has prompted him to stand up, and press the up button of the elevator. After that, the elevator doors closed and it began to go up, while the outpost began collapsing.

In the elevator, Elliot was seen looking up at the elevator where Lily and Jessica were in but then some loud noises stopped him. The scientist looked down and saw the Equinarch soldiers still down there and pulling the colonel Nova up back onto the platform.

"We have to get out of here!" Russell exclaimed.

Right now, Elliot was trying desperately to reach his daughter and ex-wife. But, at the same time, he could not just leave these soldiers here to die. A brief second later, he let out a grunt and pressed the down button of the elevator. After that, he elevator began travelling down.

On the basement level, the Equinarch soldiers were looking at the falling debris in front of them with petrified expressions. They needed to get out of here before they go down with it. Then on cue, they heard someone calling them from behind.

"Baxter! Nova! Let's get out of here!" Elliot exclaimed.

"Move! Move! Move!" Yelled the soldiers as they began to run to the elevator.

On the top of the outpost, Alexander, his men, Jessica, and Lily have all escaped the outpost after suffering little losses. Now, they were running back to their tiltrotor.

"Come on let's go! Strap in!" Alexander ordered.

Once all of the soldiers have strapped in on their seats, Jessica placed the transmitter on the floor and turned it on.

"What's dad doing here?" Lily asked with a concerned expression.

"I don't know honey."

Then, the pilots of the tiltrotor turned the engines of the aircraft on and the propellors started to spin rapidly. Ten seconds later, the pilots pulled the control stick back and took off into the air before trouble could reach them. However, Lily was still worried for her dad.

"We can't leave dad." Lily told her mother with a concerned expression.

Jessica wanted to calm her daughter down but then, Alexander began to give her an order.

"What are you waiting for?" He asked her in a bitter tone. "Wake him up." He demanded.

When Jessica heard this, she let out a defeated sigh and grabbed the transmitter, standing up in the process. After that, she began to make her way to the back of the aircraft which made Lily anxious. Once she got to the doors of the tiltrotor, she placed the transmitter on the floor and prepared to produce a sound.

On the ground, Elliot and a group of Equinarch soldiers have all escaped from the collapsing outpost with no injuries or scratches on them. However, the ice beneath them started to break and fall to the ground due to the collapse of the building behind them.

"Pick up the pace!" Yelled Nova.

Then, Elliot and the soldiers all started to run faster so that they would not fall down into the outpost due to the collapsing ground. Unfortunately, four soldiers did not make it, and the rest all fell to the ground from the devastating impact.

When Jessica saw her perfect opportunity, she turned on the transmitter and it began to produce a call which would wake up Equestrian three.

The sound of the transmitter producing animal noises has attracted Elliot's attention, he pushed himself back up onto his feet and looked up at the tiltrotor where Jessica and Lily were in with a perplexed expression. However, the sound of an animal growling has made him flinch. Elliot and the soldiers all looked underneath them and saw the icy mist being pulled back into the large hole behind them, the sight has also attracted Toshihiro, Satomi, Nigel, and Xiang's attentions too as they exited the tiltrotor.

Elliot, Baxter, and Nova were looking down at the large hole with perplexed expressions. But then, a brief second later, a long tail has appeared out of the hole which made everyone's eyes widen. Three seconds later, the head of the giant creature popped out of the hole, the group then realized that this giant creature is a dragon!

"You gotta be kidding me." Baxter said with an incredulous expression.

"Run!"

Then, everyone turned around and started to retreat back to the tiltrotor. But suddenly, the giant dragon lifted both of it's wings out of the ice, causing many huge ice blocks to fly up in the air in the process. Five seconds later, the ice blocks fell on the ground, crushing two soldiers in the process.

"Open fire!" Yelled as soldier as he and three of his colleagues turned around and started to shoot bullets at the giant dragon. However, the bullets did not even pierced through the dragon's tough scales as it began to scrutinize them in interest.

Meanwhile, Elliot has made it back into the tiltrotor along with Baxter and Nova. After that, he, Toshihiro, Satomi, Nigel, Connor, Xiang, Baxter, and Nova all strapped into their seats.

"We're doing an emergency vertical take off at max RPM." Nova informed them as the pilot started the engines.

"Number two's still spinning up."

Back outside, the soldiers were still seen firing bullets at the large dragon in attempt to scare it off but, their bullets still did not pierce through its scales. A brief second later, the dragon grew bored of this, he raised his head up with his wings spread which made all soldiers cease their fire and look at the Equestrian with bewildered expressions. Once the dragon has raised it's head up, it opened it's mouth and fire started to form inside.

"Oh no."

A brief second later, the dragon shot fire onto the soldiers which immediately incinerated them as they cried in pain from the sweltering heat. The impact has also knocked out the propellors of the helicopter. After that, the dragon climbed out of the hole and started to slowly make his way towards the metal object in front of him.

"This is Tango one to the ship. Requesting immediate urgent extract!" Nova yelled desperately.

The pilot was desperately trying to get the engines working again but, the force of the creature's fire breath has knocked out the electricity of it.

"Lucy! You gotta get us out of here!" Nigel yelled.

"I'm trying!"

Back in the air, Lily has witnessed the entire ordeal that had occured right in front of her which has scandalized her completely. She looked at Equestrian three down in front of her and saw that it was heading towards the tiltrotor that her father was in. She couldn't just stand there and do nothing, so, she snatched the transmitter out of her mother's hands and pressed a button.

"Lily no!"

When Equestrian three heard the noise, it diverted it's attention up towards the giant metal flying object above it. It raised it's head up, opening it's mouth in the process, then fire appeared in his mouth.

"Let go of it Lily!" Demanded Jessica.

"No! No! No!"

Then, Alexander pulled Lily back and Jessica picked up the transmitter back in her hands. She looked in front of her and noticed Equestrian three preparing to breath fire at them. She then pressed on a screen and the sound has stopped to produce, then, Equestrian three ceased on his fire breathing and snapped out of it. After that, the giant dragon lowered it's head back down to the metal object that he was staring at, and the doors of the tiltrotor that Jessica and Lily were in closed shut.

Back in the tiltrotor, Elliot was looking up at the other tiltrotor with a concerned expression. Suddenly, the giant creature behind them pushed their one with it's claws which made the entire aircraft shake slight in response. Equestrian three was going to crush the metal object but then, a familiar sound has made him back his head away from it as well as standing up straight and looking in front of him.

In the tiltrotor, Elliot, and his colleagues were beyond perplexed by the dragon's stop. Elliot looked in front of him and noticed that the sonar of the aircraft has picked up something in front of them. He walked to the front of the aircraft and looked out the window. Then, he and the pilots noticed a bright green glow underneath the ice. A brief second later, the glow got brighter and a large creature popped out of the ice. The Equinarch group in the tiltrotor looked up and saw that the creature was none other than Thorax himself!

Once Thorax got himself out of the ice, he stood up straight and glared at Equestrian three, his nemesis. And Equestrian three glared back. After glaring at each other for a brief second, Thorax took a deep breaths and roared at Equestrian three, and it roared back. Then, the huge dragon started it charge towards Thorax, and Thorax charged towards him too.

"Hold on!" Yelled Lucy.

Everyone in the aircraft immediately grabbed onto something in preparation for the impact that is about to occur. A brief second later, Thorax walked over the tiltrotor, and his 540 feet mane smacked it, making it spin in the process. Then, Thorax and Equestrian three clashed into each other. Thorax grabbed Torch's right claw and bit onto it, making the dragon screech in pain. Then, the dragon bit onto the back of Thorax's neck, which made the changeling roar, he then slammed his right leg onto the ground which made the tiltrotor slide backwards, and Elliot got caught in the wires. After a five seconds slide, the aircraft came to a stop against a narrow hole.

"Everybody clear out! Let's go!" Nova yelled.

Then, the soldiers and scientists unbuckled themselves and ran out of the tiltrotor but, Elliot was still trapped. He tried to call for help from his colleagues but, they have all already ran out of the chopper, and they were now trying to escape from the line of battle, all except for one, which was Satomi.

"Here, let me help you." Satomi said lifting up the wires.

While the scientists and soldiers were running away, the giant dragon pushed Thorax onto the ground with his head which made them all fall on the ground due to the impact. A brief second later, Thorax day up and roared at the dragon in an angry way.

"Come on let's move!"

Then, everyone stood up from the ground and continued to run away.

Back in the tiltrotor, Elliot and Satomi have both jumped out off the chopper just in time before it fell down into the hole. Elliot was going to run but then, the fighting scene has caught his attention.

Equestrian three fired a fireball directly at Thorax and it hit him in his chest which made him roar slightly in return. Once the changeling has recovered, he slammed his mane onto the ground and green light started to flow through the lines of it which caught Elliot's attention.

The green glow then streamed through Thorax's purple shells which both turned green in the process, once it reached his orange horns and purple eyes, they both turned green too while the colour only surrounded his orange deer horns. A brief second later, Thorax fired a green magic beam directly at Equestrian three.

When Equestrian three noticed the blast, he ducked his head slight, avoiding the attack. Then, he shot fire out of his mouth, and it made contact with Thorax's chest.

The changeling fell onto the ground while still firing his magic beam which obliterated three buildings, then, the dragon put a stop to his fire breath. A brief second later, Thorax managed to put a stop to his magical blast and attempted to get up from the fire breath but suddenly, he fell down into the large hole where Equestrian three got out of.

"Raaaaaaw! (Ahhhhhhhh!)" Roared Thorax.

Back on the ground, Satomi and Elliot were seen running to their colleagues so that they could escape the conflict. But then, Satomi looked up to her right and let out a scream.

"Ahhhhhh!"

Then, Equestrian three brought it's head down and ate Satomi which made Elliot stop in his tracks with a scandalized expression. Toshihiro then got onto his knees after witnessing his wife getting eaten. The large dragon then brought it's head up and broke a large ice blocks after eating the bipedal creature. After that, it looked down at the others that were in front of him and attempted to devour them too. But suddenly, rockets were shot at it's face which exploded on impact.

"Haaarrrrrrrggggggg!" Roared the dragon.

The group looked behind them and saw the flying aircraft carrier and a bunch of fighter jets firing rockets at the large beast.

"Yeah!" Exclaimed Baxter with a smile.

The jets then fired more rockets at the dragon, and when Equestrian three noticed the projectiles, it shielded his face with his wings, and the missiles missed his face.

Elliot looked up and saw one of the rocket's spiraling out of control towards him. He wasn't able to run away in time when the rocket hit the ground near him which sent him flying and crashing into a large metal box.

"Oooooof!" Grunted Elliot.

Equestrian three was going to breath fire at the zooming metal objects but then, a familiar presence stopped him from doing that. The large dragon turned around and saw his nemesis Thorax climbing out of the hole that he pushed him into and glared at him.

"Raaawww (You'll pay for that!)" Thorax roared.

But, Equestrian three did not bother anymore. He spread his wings and took off into the air.

"Raaaaaaaaw! (I'll defeat you!)" Thorax roared again.

Elliot was trying his best to stay conscious but, the pain has outdone him. He slowly closed his eyes and lost his consciousness, all he could hear was the roar of Thorax.

The awakening part 1

Antarctica

In the skies of Antarctica, a giant flying aircraft carrier that is slightly bigger than the size of a spirit bomber was seen flying in the snowy skies along with some fighter jets flying around it to corroborate that there are no hazards or ambushes nearby. Nova has told Baxter to contact the people in the outpost but, he did not get a response back which was weird. So, the team has decided to investigate by themselves.

Inside the giant aircraft, Satomi was seen talking to Elliot and a few of her colleagues about the Equestrian that is being held and studied in that outpost.

"The specimen at this site, has been kept entirely off-book." Satomi told them as she displayed an image of what looks to be like a frozen dragon in the outpost "And since it's a more recent discovery, our data about this Equestrian is limited. But, it seems to be another apex predator." She finished which made one soldier perplexed.

"Jessica called it Equestrian three." Toshihiro added.

"There's a theory that it may have been a rival to Thorax, battling for dominance over the other Equestrians." Satomi delineated, then, Toshihiro decided tell Xiang to show that some information.

"Doctor Xiang?" He called her. Then, Xiang displayed an image on the computer table.

"I've been scouring through thousands of years of myths and legends." Xiang told them as she displayed lots of images of dragons onto the table "But, it's almost as if people were terrified to even write about it." She informed Toshihiro.

"As if it was meant to be forgotten." Toshihiro finished Xiang's statement. Then, Dr. Connor walked to the table.

"Sorry to crash the party." Connor said walking to the table "But, I've got some bad news." He told them with a sigh.

"You could just say news. It's always bad." Baxter told him with a frown.

"We lost Thorax." He told them which made some of them shocked "He dropped off the scan near South America." He said.

"Dropped off?" Elliot asked with a perplexed expression.

"I'm telling you, one of our scientists were correct. Sometimes we can't always keep watch of these animals." Connor told them which made Xiang sigh in return "That's how he moves around so fast, using his magic to turn himself invisible so that he can get out of our sight." He finished logically.

Colonel Nova then walked forward and looked out the window of the giant aircraft. When she did, she noticed that they were nearing the outpost.

"Everyone look sharp." Nova ordered which caused everyone to stop what they were doing except for the pilots "We're approaching the base." She told them.

In the outpost in Antarctica, Alexander's soldiers were seen flipping open cases which had explosives inside of them. After that, three of them inserted them into the cylindrical drilled holes, then, the cylindrical bombs began to flicker red in a way to express that it is armed.

On a table however, a soldier looked down on his IPad size device and noticed that they've got company coming towards them. He then grabbed the tablet and reported it to his superior officer.

"They're here sir."

"Keep them busy." Alexander ordered. Then, the soldier pressed onto his radio on his left shoulder and began to communicate with his team.

"Launch reaction force. Move out!"

After that, many soldier grabbed their rifles and began to run to the hallway.

"Alright men,let's teach these fools a lesson!"

While some soldiers began to do their other work. Alexander looked up at the solid ice and saw that the bombs are now glowing white in colour. This indicates that the bombs were armed.

"Let's get this party started."

Back in the skies, the large flying aircraft carrier was still seen flying away from the outpost due to the plane being too large to land on the ground. Then, a brief second later, the hanger doors at the bottom of the big aircraft released two tiltrotors down which began to fly to the outpost. Inside one of them were Elliot, Connor, Toshihiro, Satomi, Xiang, Nova, her men, and Nigel were seen looking at one of the screens in the aircraft which displayed a map of the outpost.

"If Alexander is looking to extract genetic samples, they'll be here in the bio labs." Satomi told them pointing at a section of the outpost.

"Alright, two minutes." Baxter informed his men "Check your equipment, stand by the door." He ordered.

A brief second later, the tiltrotors have arrived at the destination and they landed smoothly onto the ground. After that, many Equinarch soldiers including Nova exited the aircrafts with assault rifles on them. During that, Satomi, Toshihiro, Connor, Nigel, Elliot, and Xiang began to look at the body cameras of the soldiers through the computer.

Once all of the soldiers made it to the entrance, they entered through the door and began to commence the operation.

Inside the outpost, one of the soldiers was seen preparing the detonator for the bombs so that they could free Equestrians three.

"Come on Bob, make it perfect." Alexander told him.

Bob nodded and began to activate the detonator. A brief second later, the bombs produced a sound which indicates that the detonator has been activated.

"Detonator's ready sir."

"Great, let's get out of here." Alexander told his men.

After that, the former military colonel and his men stared to walk through the hallway of the outpost.

"Come on Lily let's go." Jessica told her as she and her daughter began to follow the soldiers out of here.

On the catwalk platform area of the outpost, the Equinarch Organization soldiers have taken an elevator down to the platform and exited the elevator. After that, they all made a right turn and entered through the circular canopy covered hallway. After running through the hallway, Nova then raised her right arm up which made her men stop.

"Remember, eyes wide. We've got friendlies in here." She reminded them, and her men nodded. After that, they continued onwards.

"Move to tunnel two." Nova ordered. "Stay on watch." She added.

In one of the to tunnels where Baxter and three of his colleagues were in, the soldiers were seen scrutinizing the area for threats while aiming their rifles everywhere. A brief second later, Baxter raised his right hand up which made all of the soldiers stop in their tracks. He looked at his left and saw a shadow behind the canopy, the soldiers behind him noticed shadows around them as well which made them all aim their soldiers at them.

Then, Baxter started to countdown with his fingers on when to shoot but suddenly, an explosion erupted behind them which made the soldiers grunt and fall to the floor.

Elliot, Toshihiro, Satomi, Xiang, Nigel, and Connor could see the ordeal happening through their body cameras on the computer too. The sight has scandalized them a bit.

"Ambush! Ambush!" Baxter yelled.

Baxter and his team started to shoot at the shadows behind the tunnel but, some of the soldiers were pulled through the canopy by them and killed. Then, Baxter began to contact the colonel.

"Team under fire 360 ambush." Baxter informed his colleagues.

In the tunnel where Nova was in, the colonel and her men were seen walking through the hallway while some of her men were shooting through the canopy in attempt to hit some hiding soldiers.

"Break right!" She ordered.

Suddenly, two more soldiers appeared in front of them and fired their guns at them which made the team take cover. However, the Colonel's body camera captured two people which Elliot noticed on the computer screen. In the video were Jessica and Lily being taken away by the hostile forces.

"Hold you fire! We got friendlies!" Nova informed them.

Back in the tiltrotor, Elliot has noticed the entire ordeal as well as the sight of his wife and daughter. He couldn't just stay here and watch them get maimed so, he turned to his left and walked to the exit of the tiltrotor.

"Elliot!" Toshihiro exclaimed, but, he disregarded him.

Back in the tunnel hallway, two soldiers including Alexander were seen guiding Jessica and the frightened Lily out of the cross-fire as quickly as they could, while some others continued to fire at the colonel and her team. When Nova noticed that Alexander was getting away, she began to give her men some orders.

"Get down there and help Baxter." She ordered them "I'm going after him." She told them.

"Roger that."

At the entrance of the outpost, Elliot has entered through the large entrance of the building and was now making his way towards the elevator of it as quickly as possible to save his ex-wife and daughter from the hazards of the hostile force. But, before he decided to get to the elevator, he ran to one of the killed men working in the outpost and grabbed his pistol.

"This should be dandy." Elliot said with a shrug. After that, he stood up and ran to the elevator hastily.

Once he got to it, he pressed onto the button and entered it.

Back in the tiltrotor, the Chinese Equinarch scientist Xiang noticed that the computer had caught some readings.

"Hey guys, I'm getting an EKG reading." She told them as she pointed at the computer screen which displayed a pattern.

Back in the outpost, Elliot has made it to one of the basement levels of the building where all of the conflicts were occuring in, he was now in one of it's tunnels. When he got into it, he was immediately met with bodies of the killed Equinarch soldiers which shocked him a bit but, he continued on his main objective in finding his ex-wife and daughter.

"Jessica? Lily?" He called them, but, he did not get a response back.

On the other side of the basement level, Alexander and a couple of his men as well as Jessica and Lily were seen exiting a catwalk platform after dodging the cross-fire between his team and the Equinarch soldiers.

"Number one, let's go."

However, above them was colonel Nova sitting on a platform with her assault rifle aimed at Alexander.

"I've got eyes on the target. Repeat, I've got eyes on the target."

Back in the platform, the group has made a right turn and we're now near the elevator. However, a man has cut them off. And the man was Elliot, he has managed to catch up to the group by climbing a ladder to the platform level that they were on.

"Let them go!" Elliot exclaimed pointing his pistol at them.

When bob noticed this, he aimed his assault rifle forward and prepared to shoot the man. Suddenly, he was shot in the shoulder which instantly made him fall on the floor dead, dropping the detonator in the process.

"Dad!" Lily exclaimed.

"Elliot." Jessica said with a shocked expression.

"Jessica, Lily, let's go." Elliot told them.

"Dad."

"Come on let's get out of here." Elliot said again. "Lily, sweetie, walk to me." He told her.

Then, Lily slowly and carefully began to walk towards her father so that he could get her out of here. But then, a thought in her mind ceased her from going further forward towards him. Her mother told her that she must stick with her at all costs no matter what. So, she slowly took some steps back and returned to her mother.

Nova was trying desperately to shoot Alexander in the head but, a pole was blocking her view and shot.

"I do not have a shot. I repeat, I do not have a shot."

A brief second later, Jessica walked forward slightly, bent down, and picked up the dropped detonator. After that, she stood back up.

"What the?" Nova said with a perplexed expression.

Elliot was bewildered by Jessica's previous exertion, why did she pick up the detonator? What does she want to do with it now?

"Jessica, what are you doing?"

However, his ex-wife did not reply to his inquiry. Instead, she raised her right hand up and placed her thumb on the trigger button while looking at her ex-husband with a worried and serious mixed expression.

"Run."

After that, Jessica pressed the button on the detonator.
