My Little Metroid : Samus In Equestria
The falling star (Edited V2)
Samus had just flew out of the GFS Flagship Olympus after the space pirate assault. She set the ship to get to Norion as quick as possible. It would take a few hours to get there so she decided take a nap.After all, sitting awake for hours would be pointless and she needed to be awake and full of energy to complete her task. She deactivated her Varia suit and put her head down.
*Black*
*BANG* A loud explosion woke her from her slumber. She quickly reactivated her suit and scanned the area around her. She was surrounded by space pirate ships. She activated evasive manurers dodging there fire and shooting back at them, but her ship was taking bad damage. She try'd to escape but the ships hit her engines and she began crashing toward the nearest planet. Samus saw that it was called Equest before the ship got hit again and she went flying backwards and hit her head.
*Black*
It had been a pretty average day for Twilight. Just as always she had woken up, read some books, hung out with her friends, read more books and it was now evening. She had arranged to go stargazing with her friends so she and Spike were packing her stuff. The clock struck 8:00pm and they set out to the hill near ponyville to set everything up. Soon afterwards everypony had gathered and were having a nice time under the stars.
"Wait!" Pinkie shouted" Twitchy tail! Something is gonna fall! And it seems like it'l be really big!"
"Like what?" Asked Spike "Theres nothing above us but the stars. Whatever's going to fall isn't our problem."
"Girls..." Twilight said "Do you have any ideas on why that star is getting bigger?" Everypony looked up and sure enough something was hurtling toward them. "EVERYPONY RUN!" She screamed as they all ran off. Within a minute they heard a giant bang coming from where they has previously had been sitting. Everypony ran back to look what it was.
It was made of metal painted gold and red. On the side were 2 struts extending longer than the middle piece and on the front of the middle piece was green glass in a V shape with the point at the tip. On the sides and between the middle piece and the side struts was silver/grey grated metal. At the back end of the side struts were 2 golden triangles extending outwards.
"Its a giant hunk of metal!" Twilight said.
"I would hardly call that a hunk of metal Twilight." Rarity stated, "It looks gorgeous. I love how the red complements the gold. And that design! I don't think this is a natural occurrence."
"Maybe it's a alien spaceship!" Suggested Rainbow Dash.
"Rainbow that's just silly! Everypony knows there's no such thing as aliens!" Twilight stated matter of factly. Suddenly a noise could be heard and they saw a circular piece at the bottom of it extend out with something standing on it. (Start theme music)
It was standing on its hind legs and looked like it was made of metal. It had what appeared to be a silver cannon for one of its arms. Instead of eyes it had the same type of green glass that the ship used. Its shoulders were larger than the head and shaped as orbs. Most of it was gold except for the upper chest and head, which was the red and a two L shaped lines across the chest which were also green glass. At first, it looked like it was just made of metal too, but upon a quick further inspection Twilight could see there was a living creature inside of it and the metal suit was just clothing. "Oh my Celestia..." Twilight was lost for words. A real life alien. They all quickly got out of sight of the point were they could see it but it couldn't see them.
"I told you it was aliens!" Rainbow whispered to Twilight with a tone of happiness that she was the only one to guess correctly what it was. After the circular piece hit the floor the creature stepped off of the circle and began inspecting its ship.
"Hey! Hello!" Pinkie shouted to it giving away there cover. The creature looked in the direction and saw them, but ignored them and continued to inspect its ship.
"Huh? Why did it come here if it wanted nothing to do with any of the ponies?" Rainbow asked, confused by the creatures actions.
"Rainbow, look at its ship. It's damaged. It probably crash landed here and is checking for damage." Twilight said clearly having a clear understanding of what's going on even though less than a minute before she said that aliens didn't exist.
"Hey! Is there anything we can do to help you fix your ship?" Pinkie shouted eager to befriend this extra-terrestrial visitor.
"Pinkie its from outer space! It probably doesn't speak equestrian!" Twilight said.
"No there isn't anything you can do. This is a level 6 planet and I need level 18 tech to be able to repair it. I'll just have to wait for backup to answer my distress signal." The creature shouted back to answer pinkie. Its voice was similar to that of a mare, so they could only assume it was female.
"Wha... How come something from outer space speaks the same language as us?" Twilight asked.
"I dunno. Maybe we should help it since it's stuck on our planet and all." Rainbow suggested.
"Okay," Twilight said "but if it turns hostile were reporting it to Princess Celestia and getting it put in a jail until its 'backup' comes to take it away."
"Fine." They all trotted over to her were she was sitting down next to her ship.
"Hello. My name is Twilight Sparkle and these are my friends Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash."
"My names Samus. Samus Aran." The creature replied.
"How come you crash landed here?" Twilight asked eager to learn more about this alien.
"I was on my way to a planet called Norion after aliens called Space Pirates began attacking it and I was called in to help defend. Unfortunately the attackers had no intention of letting me get there and ambushed me mid flight and damaged my engines so much that I had to crash land here. They even knocked out its Auto-Repair function. Luckily, I managed to get a distress signal out before I lost all power." She replied.
"What species are of alien are you?"
"I'm a Human-Chozo hybrid."
"Humans? Aint they those things Lyra's so obsessed about?" Applejack asked.
"Wait! If those things had a intention of killing you wouldn't they follow you down here to finish you off?" Twilight asked. Just as Samus was going to answer a noise could be heard coming from her suit. A second or so afterwards a voice began speaking.
"Samus, were are you? We've got 2 of the 3 generators on this planet back on line and none of us have seen you." It was a male voice. Quite deep, cold and gravely.
"I got attacked on my way and crashed on planet Equest." she responded.
"Ok. Once we've got the other generator back on line I'll head over there to pick you up while Ghor and Gandrayda activate the cannon. See you soon Samus." The voice said before another noise could be heard and that was the end of that.
"Who was that?" Twilight asked.
"That was Rundas, another hunter that was sent to help the planet."
"Is he a Human too?" She asked.
"No. His species are known as Phrygisians." Samus replied.
"How long do you think it will be until he gets here?" Twilight asked.
"About 4-5 hours." Samus replied. She was starting to get fed up with the tedious questions.
"Okay. You can come back to my house until he gets here."
"Thanks" Said Samus as they began to to walk towards ponyville. Once they had reached the town there were a few ponies still wandering around that froze up in fear as Samus walked passed. They were all so confused as to what she was. All except a green one with a lyre mark on her flank who Samus could only guess was that 'Lyra' that Applejack had mentioned earlier. Lyra quickly ran over to greet Samus.
"HeymynameisLyra.Areyouahuman?OfcorseyouareIallwaysknewhumanswererealbutnoponybelivedmeandnowyourhereandthey'veallbeenprovenwrongohmygoshican'tbelivethisishappening - Were did you go?" By this point Samus had left her 'conversation' with Lyra and gotten to the library. "Aw hayseed!" Lyra said to herself before beginning trotting towards the library after Samus.

Thank god I finally got the first chapter done. Sorry if you think this chapter moved forward too fast but I had this story sitting here for ages and because I found it difficult to get started. That's one of the main problems I have while writing story's, the beginnings are always rushed because I have no idea how to write them well. Please tell me what you think in the comments. Criticism is appreciated.
