Pinkie Pie Uses Tumblr
“Pinkie Pie, you are so random.” Rainbow Dash stated as she watched her friend bounce around her bedroom above Sugar Cube Corner.
“I GOT NEW FOLLOWERS ON TUMBLR!” Pinkie shouted, bouncing off the ceiling and slamming through the floor into the kitchen.
“Pinkie! That’s the third time you’ve done that this month!” A distant, yet clear voice called.
“Sorry Mrs. Cake…” Pinkie sang as she dashed back up the stairs. Mrs. Cake shook her head and sighed, resolving to invest in some Pinkie-proof flooring.
“So… What’s Tumblr?” Rainbow asked.
“It’s a website! It’s like… The News! Yeah! It’s like the News, except it’s a bunch of ponies, and they all get to talk about what’s going on in their lives, and they can post art, and stories, and ask questions! It’s so much fun! Here, I’ll show you!” Pinkie hopped over to her desk and pressed the power button on her computer monitor.
“Uh, Pinkie?”
“Yes, Dash?”
“What’s that thing?” Dash asked, pointing to the computer.
“Oh, it’s a computer! I had Twilight make it for me! I can use it to do lots of stuff! Like get on the internet!”
“Right… Okay, what’s the internet?”
“The internet… It’s like a giant book! You can look at pretty much anything on the internet, anything at all!”
“Wow! Even the Wonderbolts?”
“Yeah! Here, I’ll show you!” Pinkie got on Google and quickly typed in the name of Dash’s favourite flight team. When a picture of Spitfire appeared on the screen with her latest interview underneath, Rainbow gasped.
“This. Is. So. Cool!” she squealed.
“That’s not even the best part!” Pinkie told her.
“It’s not?! Then what is?!”
“TUMBLR!” Pinkie cried, and typed in the web address. When Pinkie’s Tumblr dashboard popped up on the screen, Dash cocked her head.
“… Pinkie… Is that… Me?”
“Yeah! Lots of ponies love you, so they made blogs in your honour! I follow all of them! And all of Princess Celestia’s, and Princess Luna’s, and Twilight’s…”
“Wait, wait, wait, ponies actually made stuff to honour Twilight?! That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard!” Rainbow laughed, rolling around on the ground, clutching her stomach.
“It’s true, look!” Pinkie pointed at the screen, showing her the many different Twilight Sparkle blogs.
“Woah… There’s so many!”
“They have them for all of us! Even the Cutie Mark Crusaders!”
“You’re kidding, right? Those squirts have blogs about them too?”
“They sure do! See?!”
“How do you know who the real pony is? How can you tell which is the real Scootaloo?”
“Pinkie Sense!”
“Oh… Of course… Why would it be anything we can all use...? Silly Rainbow…”
“Well, sometimes they post stuff that actually happened, so I guess that can tell you which one is the real pony…”
“Oh, good, that would get so confusing!”
“Oh Dashie…” Pinkie sang, pointing at the name of one of the blogs.
“That is not true! I do not like mares!” Pinkie raised a brow, but didn’t say anything; she just continued to scroll down the page, looking at new blog entries.
“Ya know Pinks, this is pretty cool. I think I’ll have Twilight poof me up one of these computer things and try it out myself.”
“YAY!” Pinkie shouted, jumping up and through the ceiling.
“Pinkie!” Mrs. Cake sang from downstairs.
“Sorry Mrs. Cake!” Mrs. Cake sighed again, wondering why she hadn’t already Pinkie-proofed everything in the house.
“Pinkie Pie?” Rainbow Dash said.
“Yes, Dash?” Pinkie asked, tilting her head at an angle that was seemingly impossible for anypony to accomplish.
“You are so random.”
