It was a glorious day in Equestria, the creatures of the land had a ton of fun playing and talking with each other as well as doing work like they always do in their daily lives.

In Ponyville and the changeling hive however, ponies and changelings were seen living together in friendship and harmony, some were even couples too. This is due to the marriage of King Thorax and Princess Twilight Sparkle nine months ago, the couple went on many dates and eventually, Thorax proposed to Twilight at Ponyville Lake which she accepted contentedly, their wedding was held in the Changeling Hive, and their friends and families were so happy for them. Months later, Twilight gave birth to a healthy and smart little changelicorn colt whom they named Alistair, the young Prince loved his parents and relatives as much as they do, he also has a keen interest in chemistry and magic.

Changeling Hive 10:15pm

It is nighttime now in Equestria, and the changelings and ponies from both Ponyville and the Changeling Hive all said goodbye to each other and began to go to bed for tomorrow.

On the third floor of the hive, Twilight Sparkle was seen carrying her four years old son Alistair to his bedroom so that he could get some sleep after today's walk through Ponyville which he absolutely enjoyed, as well as eating some dinner. Once she got to his bedroom door, she pushed it open with her magic and began to walk to his Prince sized bed.

"Mommy, can't I read a few more books?" Alistair begged.

"Sorry honey." Twilight said with a giggle due to thinking about how similar she and he were when she was a little filly "You need to get some sleep, the longer you sleep, the more energy you have for tomorrow." She told him as she pulled his blanket up with her magic and placed him on the bed gently, after that, she lowered her son's blanket and he gripped onto it with his hooves.

Twilight was going to reach for her son's lamp and turn it off but then, he called her.

"Mommy."

When Twilight heard her son, she immediately lowered her hoof and looked down at him with a smile.

"What is it honey?"

"Mommy, I heard from daddy that he was a guardian towards you." Alistair told her, and Twilight's eyes widen from remembering those times.

"Ah yes, those were some wonderful times." Twilight said with a smile.

"Do you think that you can talk to me about those wonderful times before I go to bed please?" He asked kindly.

"Sure kiddo." Twilight replied patting his head "It all occured four years ago..."

Ponyville, Twilight's castle, 4 years ago

In Ponyville, the ponies of the tranquil and happy town were all seen having a chat with each other about how their lives are going so far, as well as eating and running their shops and businesses, life was perfect as always for the ponies.

In Twilight's castle however, King Thorax of the Changeling Hive, and Princess Twilight Sparkle were both seen reading a book together in a library for fun as well as a date that Twilight arranged which Thorax contentedly accepted due to his hobbies is to also read books. At first, everything seemed peaceful, but that was when Thorax felt the need to use the restroom.

"Oh, Twilight." Thorax called her, and Twilight ceased her reading and looked up at Thorax "Would you mind if I use the restroom real quick?" He asked kindly.

"Sure Thorax."

"Thank you."

After that, Thorax stood up from his chair, turned around and faced the castle library doors. He then walked up to them, gripped onto the door handle with his magic and pulled them open, after that, he exited the library, closing the doors behind him in the process.

While Thorax was heading to the restroom, Twilight stared back down on her book to read again, during her reading session, the Friendship Princess couldn't help but daydream about her and Thorax dancing together happily in Canterlot castle's ballroom.

"Thorax is so handsome." Twilight thought with a dreamy expression.

However, her reading session was put to a close when a buzzing noise was heard next to her which got her perplexed.

*BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!*

"Huh?" Twilight said as she cocked her head to her right.

When she did, she noticed a bumblebee flying next to her. The sight has made her petrified.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Twilight screamed jumping off of her seat and running.

After running for a brief second, Twilight has encountered a dead end in her own library, she then turned around and saw the bee flying towards her. The sight has made her tremble in a fearful manner.

"Somepony save me!" Twilight screamed anxiously as she shield her face with her right wing.

The bee then aimed it's stinger forward towards the alicorn Princess and prepared to sting her, but suddenly, it was immediately caught in a small plastic bag.

"Gotcha!"

When Twilight heard the familiar voice, she slowly lowered her right wing and opened her eyes. When she did, she saw her handsome changeling King in front of her carrying a small plastic bag with the bee that tried to attack her earlier ago. She must assume that Thorax trapped the bee in that plastic bag before it stung her.

"Are you alright Twilight?"

Twilight replied by letting out a squeal and lunging towards her changeling King, embracing him in a hug in the process. The sudden action nearly made the changeling King fall down on the floor but, he managed to maintain his balance, it made him blush slightly too.

"Thank you! Thank you!"

When Thorax heard this, he couldn't help but let out a warm smile due to him saving his princess from hazards once again with no fear or anxiety stopping him from achieving his goal of protecting the one he loves. A brief second later, Thorax wrapped his hooves around Twilight's back and embraced her in a loving hug.

Mountain

On a mountain outside of Ponyville, King Thorax and Princess Twilight were both seen taking a hike on a mountain outside of Ponyville so that they could collect some information about the trees and flowers that are planted here. This was also their eleventh date. Once they got to their location, they started to write down some notes about the trees.

"Wow, this tree sure is interesting eh Twilight?" Thorax asked while writing down on his small booklet. However, Twilight did not reply back.

When Thorax noticed that he did not get a reply back, he postponed his writing and looked in front of him where his beloved was, and when he did, he saw her taking a picture of herself with her camera while standing in front of a steep hill. The sight has made the changeling King's eyes widen in apprehension.

"Twilight! Get away from the ledge." He told her sternly "You might hurt yourself." He warned her but, Twilight was equanimous.

"Don't worry Thorax, I'm the princess of Friendship and the leader of the elements of Harmony! Nothing will ever-"

Twilight wasn't able to finish her sentence when the ledge that she was standing on gave away causing the alicorn Princess to loose her balance and fall on it, then, she began to tumble down the hill.

"Twilight!" Thorax exclaimed fearfully as he ran to the ledge of the steep hill.

Back on the mountain where the royals stood not long ago, Thorax was seen sitting Twilight on the soft grass while leaning her back against a tree after carrying her back up to the top after her fall. The friendship Princess now had a hash on the middle of her back left hoof.

"Twilight, told you not to do that." Thorax told her as he unzipped his backpack "The forest has all of its own surprises which can get anypony maimed." He finished.

"I'm sorry Thorax." Twilight apologized with a depressed expression due to her temerarious exertion not long ago.

"It's okay." Thorax assured her with a smile "Now let's treat your wound." He said.

Twilight looked at Thorax for a brief second and saw that he pulled out a 100ml iodine alcohol jar, and a cylindrical jar fillies with six inches cotton sticks. The sight has made her edgy due to her knowing that it will hurt but, she stuffed it down and accumulated her bravery for Thorax.

The changeling King twisted the lid off of the alcohol treatment, putting it aside in the process. He then pulled out one cotton stick out of the opened box with his magic and dipped in into the jar. A brief second later, Thorax pulled the stick out and saw that the top of it was covered in the alcohol. Then, the changeling King focused Twilight's wound and brought the cotton stick towards it, however, during his process, he heard Twilight's whimpering noise. Thorax looked up at Twilight's face and saw that she had an anxious expression on her, probably because of her being petrified that this would be excruciating.

"Maybe this will help sooth her anxiety."

Twilight was closing her eyes in fear while waiting for the painful event to happen during the treatment process. But then, something unexpected happened, Thorax leaned in and kissed her in the lips! Twilight was caught off guard by this, she was currently being kissed by her handsome King! But, a brief second later, she ignored it and closed her eyes, kissing him back in the process.

When Thorax noticed that his tactic was working, he averted his eyes to her wound with the cotton stick still levitated up in the air with his magic. He then brought it down to her wound once again, once he got to it, he began to rub the wound left and right. During the process, Twilight let out a pained moan into Thorax's muzzle but, the changeling King continued to calm her down by kissing her.

Ten seconds later, Thorax has completed in spreading the iodine on Twilight's wound as well as successfully calming her down! A brief second later, Thorax broke the kiss and both royals started to catch their breaths.

"Okay, time to apply the bandages."

Thorax then charged his horn and pulled out a roll of white bandages out of his backpack, he then brought it above Twilight's wounded hoof and wrapped it around it. Five seconds later, Thorax broke the bandage and everything was completed!

"Operation completed!"

After that, Twilight leaned in and hugged her handsome special somepony in a grateful way.

"Thank you." Twilight whispered.

"You're welcome Twinkle's. I love you." He confessed.

"I love you too Thory." Twilight confessed back.

Present time

"And that honey, is how Thorax became my guardian and my husband." Twilight finished the entire story.

Alistair was beyond flabbergasted by the whole story, he didn't knew that his father did all of those wonderful things for his mother, he helped her with: work, treated her injuries, fought along side her from enemies who dared to harm their subjects and many more. His father truly is a noble and brave changeling!

"Wow, that is just astonishing!" Alistair commented with a smile "When I grow up, I want to be just like him." He said with bravery in his voice.

"I bet you will baby." Twilight said stroking his head "Anyways, it's time to go to bed." She told him.

"Okay." Alistair said with a yawn, after that, he tucked himself in and rested on his side "Goodnight mommy." He said softly.

"Goodnight baby." Twilight cooed planting a kiss on his cheek. After that, Twilight turned off his lamp and got up from his bed. Then, she turned around and walked to his bedroom door, once she got to it, she pulled the door open and stepped through it, but before she left, she looked at her son one last time and saw him still asleep comfortably on his bed which made her smile warmly. Finally, the alicorn Queen gently closed her son's bedroom door and started to make her way to her and her husband's bedroom.
