This Equestria has modern tech including guns and bombs, however due to the peaceful nature of ponies, it is almost always only in the military. The guns were simply made for the defence of the nation. Helicopters and planes also exist, however a lone pegasi can fly faster than a helicopter. The helicopter is mainly for the transportation of unicorns and earth ponies as it is faster than walking.
