Hope you enjoy the story! "...Almost there." Spike said, gritting his teeth. He stared into the bathroom mirror, making grunting noises every passing second. His hands were constantly twisting back and forth, to and fro, and up and down. But the young dragon still couldn't get it right. After about five minutes of this, he finally just gave up, tears of frustration forming in his eyes. Suddenly, the bathroom door opened. "Spike, you okay?" asked a familiar voice. Spike could only let out a mumbled groan. "Is something wrong?" the voice asked again. Spike finally spoke after five minutes of silence. "No." Then entered Twilight Sparkle, his mentor and, um.....technically-mother. Well, she did hatch him. The unicorn had a worried look plastered on her face. "What's wrong?" she asked. Her eyes went wide as she looked at the mess Spike had become. The tuxedo he was wearing was wrinkled at every single corner, and there was a red ribbon hanging from his neck. "What the hay happened?" Twilight asked. "I can't tie the stupid bow..." the dragon muttered. Twilight could see the tears of frustration at the corners of his eyes. "Oh Spike...." she chuckled. With a sudden glow covering her horn and the tie on his chest, it got tied in a matter of seconds. "There." the unicorn said, smiling. Tears suddenly began rolling down Spike's cheeks. Twilight noticed this immediately. "Aww. What's wrong?" she asked, pulling the baby dragon into a deep hug. "It's just that..." he sobbed. "....W-what if tonight doesn't go well? What if it goes terrible?" "Why would you think that?" Twilight asked. "I w-want tonight...." Spike choked out. "...to be special. And i-if I mess up....Sweetie B-Belle might not like be...anymore..." Twilight almost sobbed herself listening to that. Being only ten years old, and having a one-year anniversery date must be very stressful. "It's okay, Spike." Twilight reassured him with a soft tone of voice. "It's okay. Shh." After a few minutes, Spike's sobbing eventually wared off. "Thanks, Twilight." Spike said, his eyes still bloodshot. "That's what I'm here for." she said. "And to make you do my chores." Spike chuckled a little at the joke. This brought a smile to Twilights face. She hated to see him cry. Or anypony cry for that matter. "Let's get you ready now, should we?" Twilight asked, a smirk across her face. "You wouldn't want to keep a certain somepony waiting, would you?" "No!" Spike replied, his sprits rising. "Now that's the tone of voice I like to hear!" Twilight cheered. 10 Minutes Later Spike exited the bathroom, confidence high and clothing all fixed and prepared. He looked down at the red bow attached to his suit. Tied perfectly. He smiled in satisfaction. "You all ready to go?" Twilight asked, turning the lights of the bathroom off. "Yep." he said, the smile still there. "Okay!" Twilight replied. "Now I want you have fun, okay?" "Alright!" Spike said. He procedded to walk downstairs and into the main library. Right as he was about to exit the building, Twilight interrupted him. "Wait! I forgot something!" she said. "What?" Spike asked. After a few seconds of searching, she found the things she was looking for. "These!" she said. She held out a forehoof. On it were a handful of bits. 45 to be exact. Spike's mouth nearly dropped to the floor. "A-all that?" "Yep." the unicorn replied. Spike ran up to Twilight, and gave her another hug. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" he cheered. "You're welcome." Twilight answered. Spike happily took the bits and stored them in his pockets. After saying goodbye, he exited the library, and made his way to Rarity's boutique. Sweetie Belle walked out of the bathroom, with her dress on. Celestia, has she not worn this dress in a while. It was the same dress she wore when she was the flower-filly at Shining Armor and Princess Cadance's wedding. Rarity thought the idea of wearing that on this type of occasion was wierd, but tonight was dedicated to Sweetie Belle, so the white mare didn't argue. The filly had stored the dress in her closet, waiting for the time. That time was happening tonight. Tonight would be her and Spike's one year anniversary since their 'first time.' The last time they had had contact was about 11 months ago. In fact, it was a mere two weeks after the first time that they had gone off and done it again. Sweetie Belle missed those days. The pleasure he had brought her. The feeling of him inside her....it was just too much to handle. Sweetie thought it wasn't best to think about right now, or else she might accidentaly go into heat right there in the spot. Rarity didn't know of the sexual encounters between the two, neither did Twilight. And the two children were happy about that. If their peers had found out, Celestia knows what would of happened. Her thoughts were suddenly cut off by a knock on the front door. "Coming!" the filly said. She opened the door, already knowing who it was. And wouldn't you know it, there stood Spike. His tuxedo was dressed perfectly and his black hat seemed like it had never been used before. He looked more prepared than she did. "Spike!" she schreeched in excitement. She pulled him into a deep hug. "Hey, Sweetie." he replied, a smile on his face. "You ready to go?" "Hold on just a sec." she said. "Rarity! I'm leaving now!" Sweetie yelled. "Okay!" replied a familiar voice. "Have fun!" "I will!" Sweetie Belle replied. "Ready!" "Okay then, let's go!" Spike said, raising his fist in the air. After making sure the front door was locked, the two began their walk down the streets of Ponyville. "So," Sweetie began. "Where are we going tonight?" After a few seconds of thinking, Spike couldn't hatch up an idea. That was until he felt the bits jingle around in his pocket. The burnt out light bulb in his head suddenly flickered back on. "I know." he said. "So....." Sweetie wondered. "Follow me. I have an idea." //-------------------------------------------------------// The Restruant //-------------------------------------------------------// The Restruant A unicorn named Dawn Star grumbled as he walked over to his shift. God, did he hate working at fancy restruants. They barely paid him, and every employee made his life there a living hell. The only reason why he kept the job was just because he had a family to feed. "Celestia damn it. Another bucking hour until the shift ends." he groaned. He finally reached his post. His current job at the moment was being the waiter and front door man. As tedious as it was, it wasn't the worst selection out of the library. Sure, the costumers weren't the nicest, and certainly not the cleanest; but there was a certain joy to talking to other ponies other than the annoying employees. But if there was one thing he hated the most, it was children. Celestia, did he hate children. Running around all over the place, breaking everything in sight, it was a mess. His thoughts suddenly got cut off when he heard the door open. Clearing his throat, he began to speak. "Welcome to the Ponyville Fanc'e Cuisine." he said in a thick french accent, his eyes closed. He opened his eyes, expecting to see two ponies probably coming over for a late night dinner. But instead, he found himself shifting his head down, revealing two small children obscured by the large desk. He could of sworn his heart committed suicide. "W-where's your peers?" he asked, his french accent still there. "Umm, we didn't bring any..." Spike nervously said, looking at Sweetie. "Then you must leave at once." Dawn Star sternly said. "Can we please stay here for dinner?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Ha! I wouldn't be surprised if you two didn't have any money with you at a-" He stopped, when Spike pulled out a handful of bits from his pocket. "Um...." Dawn was out of words. "Please follow me!" The waiter picked up two menus with magic eminating from his horn, as he led the couple to their seats. He left them for a few minutes, as they decided what they were going to drink. "Hmm, I guess I'll get the pink lemonade." Sweetie said, smiling. "Hope that's not too much." Spike took a look at the menu. "No, it's actually very cheap. You can get it if you want. Because you are sweetie, aren't you?" he said, with a sheepish grin on his face. Sweetie Belle giggled at the statement. "I'll get myself a Gem Float." Spike said. "Sounds interesting." After a couple minutes, the waiter returned. "Did you two find what you want to drink?" he asked in his french accent. Sweetie giggled again. "What's so funny?" Dawn asked. "He he. Nothing, really. It's just that-" Sweetie burst out laughing. "You're voice! It's so funny!" The waiter frowned. "I'll have you know that I come from an extremely wealthy family all the way from France." "Well you don't look like it!" Spike said, also bursting out laughing. Dawn Star stared at the two. "Anyways, what do you want to drink." "Pink lemonade for me!" Sweetie let out an adorable smile. The waiter used his magic to write down the order. "And for you." he said, focusing on Spike. "I guess I'll get the Gem Float. Sounds good." he said, looking at the item in the menu. "Wait! The Gem Float! That's for adults o-" he got cut off by the sound of the bits shaking around in the young dragons pocket. "Gem Float it is!" The waiter walked away, and almost immediately came back with their drinks. "Pink Lemonade for you." he said, using his magic to levitate the beverage over to Sweetie Belle. "And a Gem Float for you." he did the same for Spike. He walked away again, leaving the two to open conversation. "Let's figure out what we're going to eat." Spike said. Sweetie nodded in agreement. After a few minutes of searching, Sweetie Belle found a meal. "I'm getting the Carrot Top Salad!" she said. "Yeah. Next I suppose you're going to get the Rainbow Cupcakes..." he said. The two burst out laughing. ---Meanwhile--- Pinkie Pie suddenly stopped. "Why do I think somepony knows about my secrets?" she asked herself. "Somepony help me...." a tired, choked voice asked from inside the room. "Eh, it's probably nothing!" the pink mare said. "NOOOOOO-" the scream got cut off by the closing door. ---Back At The Restruant--- The waiter returned with his pencil and paper ready. "You two ready for your orders?" "Yes!" the two said at the same time. "Okay. What will it be for you, young lady." he asked. "I'll get a Carrot Top Salad!" she said with a smile. Might as well get the Rainbow Cupcakes while she's at it..., he said in his mind. "And for you, mister?" Dawn said, staring at Spike. "I think I'll get the Three-Gem Casserole." the young dragon said. This kid must have some type of gem fetish or something., the waiter said again in his mind. "And that's it!" Spike said. After reviewing the order to make sure he got it right, Dawn Star left the two children alone again. After about 20 minutes of random conversation, the two had nothing else to say. "So..." Spike said. "So..." Sweetie Belle replied. "Hey Sweetie?" Spike asked. "Yeah?" "Do you remember when we were at Twilight's house 11 months ago?" "Yeah, why?" "Remember what we did?" "Yeah?..." "Well, after dinner..." Spike paused. "Do you want to do it again?" Sweetie Belle's face lit up with excitement. "Yes, Yes!" She raised her forehooves with excitement, oblivious to the fact that their waiter was approaching with their food. Her left hoof accidently clobbered him in the nose. "I'm so sorry!" Sweetie apoligized. As the waiter covered his nose, his magic suddenly stopped, sending the food flying fowards. It ended up landing on Sweetie's dress. "Ahh!" she screamed. Spike got up and tried to stop the situation, only to slip on some of the spilled food. This sent him slipping foward, knocking the waiter out of his way. Dawn Star crash landed on the table, making their drinks airborne. They liquids spilled on Spike's tuxedo, staining it in sticky lemonade, and ice cold Gem Float. And he didn't even get to drink it. The situation lasted under 30 seconds, but the damage was already done. Dawn Star slowly got up, and looked at the mess that unfolded before him. And standing in the midst of the wreckage, were two children. He now realized why he hated kids. ".....Sorry?" Spike nervously asked. Dawn Stars eyes glowed red with anger. "GET.....OUT!!!!!!!!!" he yelled with rage, his voice sounding virtually demonic. Spike's eyes began to fill with tears, which began to flow down his cheeks. Sweetie Belle took notice of this. But before she could speak, Spike ran out of the restruant, covered in sticky restruant beverages. Dawn Star then glared at Sweetie, who immediately took action and ran out the restruant as well. Right as Dawn was about to leave the mess, his manager walked in. "What the hell happened here?!" he yelled. "Well, um..." Dawn Star stuttered. "No. I don't want to hear it. Just get the damn mess cleaned up!" he lectured, before walking away. Dawn Star gritted his teeth in anger, before beginning to clean up the rubble. "Damn children." he muttered. As he was busy cleaning up, he suddenly stopped. He remembered that when the dragon had run away, he had heard something land on the floor. And laying before him was his answer. The dragons 45 bits.
