Newly crowned as Equestria's sole princess, Twilight Sparkle is eager to return to Ponyville, if only for a short time before the weight of ruling the country truly sinks in for the young alicorn.

Before she can, however, and much to her annoyance, she is assigned her Life Guard by an overprotective Shining Armor. No matter how beautiful or good-looking Blade Dancer might be.

As the two spend time together, however, can they be more than princess and guard?
