To Tame A Beast

Authors Note: Just a quick heads up to everyone here that starts reading my story. I do not have a set upload schedule, I don't have anyone proof reading my work to check for spelling errors and I don't get paid anything to keep writing this story. I will be posting new chapters on my time when I feel like it, I work almost everyday so I don't have time to just commit hours and hours of my life to a story when I know most of you are gonna beat off to the first 1/2 chapters and dip out. Also, I don't care if what I write isn't 100% lore friendly, it's my story and I'm gonna write it how I want. With all that being said, I hope the few that do like my story stick around, and I hope this journey ends up being something kinda interesting... Maybe not, we'll see.

Day One

"A-Angel?... Angeeeeel!" Calling out into what seemed like an endless void of wild vines and tree's was the familiar face of a soft, buttercup mare by the name of Fluttershy. This timid pony was currently calling out into the wilds for a particular little rabbit who she had grown to love like a son. "Angel!" No the reason this mare was so terrified to take a step forward, was she knew what types of creatures lay hidden deep in the Everfree Forest.

Her front legs were trembling just as much as her back legs, still able to graze the tree-line until she moved past the thick bush. Once inside, the only source of light was the small lantern being held in her maw, sharp eyes darting around in what little visibility she had. One step... Two steps.... Five.... Ten..... Small twigs snapping under the weight of the pony as she went further and further into the woods, the land becoming more and more unfamiliar as she couldn't even remember what way led back to the comfort of her home. As Fluttershy continued walking, she would start to feel a sudden eerieness surround her body, just past the view of her light she could have sworn she seen pairs of green eyes watching her... But whenever she tried to focus on the view... It would be gone.

"H-h-hello? I-Is anypony there??" Her voice cracked, the quick sounds of tree branches snapping behind her, or rustling in the bushes around her would make her heart pound against the meat of her chest. A warm trickle soon running down the inside of the ponies leg, letting a warm, yet somehow sweet aroma flood the air around her, but no matter how pleasant the scent was it was not enough to calm her down. Fluttershy's pace would start to quicken, hearing the snaps and the cracks of multiple paws behind her she would soon pick up her speed from a light trot to full on sprint. Fluttershy had completely forgotten about her lost rabbit, now thinking only about her own life as the sounds of hungry growls and soon demanding barks led quickly up behind her.

"No!! No please!! Go away!" Pain stricken tears ran freely down the mares soft cheeks as she continued to sprint through the uncharted forest, her bubblegum pink mane now flowing behind her as she tried to use her wings as a sort of makeshift speed boost, after all the forest was way to dense to fly in at night. A glint of hope quickly rose through the body of the now hunted mare as she seen a light opening in the dense forest, as she ran faster and faster, the opening would only get bigger and bigger. Desperate to be free, the frightened mare would soon start to yell out "HELP!!! ANYPONY PLEASE!!! HELP ME!!!" However a misplace in her front right hoof would cause her to step in small hole, twisting her hoof and in fact snapping the lower bone in her leg as she was sent flying forward, rolling toward the opening and soon rolling out into a small patch of grass.

"EEYAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The poor mare screamed as she landed on the grass, feeling the immense pain scorching up her arm and into her shoulder, tears staining her soft cheeks as the terrified animal watched the tree-line. Soon four sets of blazing green eyes would start to glow brighter and brighter as the same four sets of eyes would come into view. Timberwolves... And by the look of it, these wooden magical creatures looked hungry, licking their bark muzzles and drooling a bright green liquid onto the grass as they slowly walked towards the injured pony. Fluttershy was panting as her eyes darted towards the magical creatures, unable to put pressure on her broken leg but still trying to crawl backwards... Begging... Pleading with the creatures, only to have those cries fall onto deaf ears.

"P-p-please... Y-You don't have to do this... I-I can help you all find something else to eat? P-Please?... P-p-plea- Eep!!" The mare was cut off as one of the wolves launched towards her, his sharp wooden teeth aimed directly at her throat. Fluttershy would close her eyes, awaiting her fate and praying to Celestia to help her. 'Yelp!' a loud and sharp yelp from the wooden beast would make Fluttershy open her eyes, only.. she wish she hadn't... Standing before her was a beast unlike anything she had ever seen, he was massive, he had to be almost 7'5 feet in length, with massive arms and legs that could take out a tree if he swing hard enough. This creatures almost looked like a timberwolf only much, much larger, with black fur and paws the size of her head. Fluttershy could only watch in pure terror as the massive creature began crushing the skull of the timber wolf, that massive muzzle engulfing the widen head as his razor sharp teeth crushed and cracked through that wooden skull. The timber wolf howled, clawing at the grass as green blood began running from his eyes and mouth. The other Timberwolves could only tremble as they watched their alpha's eyes pop out of his head, only to go limp in the mouth of the massive creature. Once dead, the massive wolf would drop the wooden imposter, blood drooling from his muzzle as he stared down the now terrified pact, his growl low and deep, massive claws digging into their dead friend, they had no choice but to leave.

Once gone, the giant beast would turn around to look at the other possible threat that happened to be trespassing on his territory. However, he would see that the injured mare was passed out on the soft grass, all that adrenaline rushing through her body was gone and she was no longer able to stay awake through the pain. The pitch black warewolf would lower his head down to inspect the pony, first taking in her scent. Fluttershy smelt like most ponies he had eaten before yet... This one was different. As his large snout slowly moved in-between the mares legs, he could smell the subtle scent of her urine. It smelt.. Feminine... It smelt... Fertile. A fire cracked in the middle of the cave which was a great source of not only warmth, but it made it possible for Fluttershy to see her surroundings. "Is anypony there?" Fluttershy's voice was soft and her words still trembled while trying to leave her throat. She could barely remember how she had gotten there, only that she was being chased in the everfree forest and now... Now she was here? The sound of someone approaching however would make Fluttershy gasp, trying to think quick she would lay herself back down and pretend to be asleep once more, however her eyes would stay open some so as to see what was going on.

It was like pure darkness had taken form from the entrance of the cave as the massive creature slowly entered, dragging the body of the previously killed timber wolf into view and making the terrified pony freeze in place, she had no choice but to watch. Those large eyes would follow the beast as he dragged the timber wolf over to the corner of the cave, watching the trail of green blood follow behind him, almost having missed the set of wings that hung on the.... Wall... Fluttershy's heart would sink into her stomach, her hues shrinking to pins as she looked about the yellow wings hanging on the wall, dripping red blood. A terrified thought quickly ran through her head, slowly turning her head back to look, afraid of what she'd see, Fluttershy would have to stop herself from screaming as she could only see 2 little nubs wrapped in gauze on her back, the gauze leaking the same green numbing gel that was on her broken arm. The site of her wings made her lose all air in her lungs, tears started to run down her cheeks as she looked in horror at her back... This... This must be a dream? The little pony thought to herself, she was so distracted she didn't even notice the massive beast slowly approaching her, eying her actions and cautiously moving closer until his shadow engulfed the trembling mare.

Fluttershy quickly tried to get up from the grass bed she was laying on, but would yelp and fall over at the sheer pain shooting through her body from stepping on her broken leg. She wasn't able to speak, she could only back herself up as the furred monster lowered his head to look deep into those scared eyes. The giant wolf move closer to the now frozen mare, watching her coward in fear forced a small smile on the wolfs face, seeing how weak and fragile this little pony was brought a sense of joy to the wolf like no other, she was going to make for the perfect pet~. His focus however was not on his speech... It was on her.
