The Fantastic Crossover Race
When Kingdoms Combine Part 1
“Welcome to The Fantastic Race, twenty teams of two will be competing from both Equestria and the Mushroom Kingdom, they will travel through the world to win 500,000 grand of their currency, I’m your host Discord and this is the Fantastic Race.” Discord introduces the show.
“Our first ten teams are from Equestria, first we have Applejack and Applebloom, the Apple Sisters.” Discord explained as a train stopped at the Canterlot train stop, and Applejack and Applebloom get off the train.
Team Interview: Apple Sisters
Applejack: Well this is gonna be one heck of race, and who better to do it with than with your own little sister.
Applebloom: I’m really excited for this race, it’ll be like the Sisterhooves Social.

Soon we see Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo get out of the train.
“Next week have Rainbow Dash and her little fan Scootaloo.” Discord announced. “They are the Pegasiblings even if they aren’t technically siblings”
Team Interview: Pegasiblings
Rainbow Dash: Aw yeah, a race for a bunch of money, this is so awesome.
Scootaloo: Totally, I can’t wait to win this race.

The third team steps out of the train revealing to be Spike and Rarity.
“Our third team Rarity and her little friend Spike, we call them the Oddballs.” Discord announced.
Team Interview: Oddballs
Rarity: I simply wouldn't miss this for the world. Especially traveling to some of the most greatest places in Equestria.
Spike(blushes): Yep, I especially can’t wait to travel with you Rarity.
Rarity: Aw how sweet of you to say Spikey Wikey Isn’t he such a good friend?
Spike(laughs nervously): Yeah, we're pretty good friends.

“For the fourth team we have Princess Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer, the Pen Pals” Discord announces as Twilight and Sunset get off the train.
Team Interview: Pen Pals
Twilight: Sunset and I met in the human world and we’ve been writing to each other ever since.
Sunset: I may have caused some trouble in the past but now I’ve learned my lesson and I am ready to help Twilight win this.

Soon Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy got out of the train.
“And two of Equestria’s Elements of Harmony we have Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy the Gal Pals.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Gal Pals
Pinkie Pie: I’m so excited to travel the world, and it’s just so great to be here with my friend Fluttershy.
Fluttershy: Um, yay.

Another team got out of the train and they were revealed to be Starlight and Trixie.
“Meet our reformed duo, Starlight and Trixie also known as the Magical Misfits.” Discoed announced.
Team Interview: Magical Misfits
Trixie: When I heard about this race for money, I just had to bring Starlight with me so we can win it together.
Starlight: I just hope this doesn’t end like our last trip together.
Team Interview Ends
Soon Celestia and Luna began flying from the sky.
“Meet our fair princesses Celestia and Luna, otherwise known as the Royal Sisters.” Discoed announces.
Team Interview: The Royal Sisters
Celestia: I may not be the sporty type, but Luna and I need a break from our duties.
Luna: Yes but with Discord in charge of this, I just hope he doesn't cause any trouble.
Celestia: I agree with you there sister.

Soon Sweetie Belle and Pipsqueak got out of the train.
“And introducing Sweetie Belle and Pipsqueak, The Classmates.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Classmates
Sweetie Belle: Me and Pipsqueak thought this would be fun, plus we have our friends to keep us company so this should be exciting.
Pipsqueak: Yeah I can’t wait to start racing.

Soon Lyra and Bon Bon got out of the train.
“Lyra and Bon Bon, aka the Besties are our next competitors.” Discoed announced.
Team Interview: Besties
Lyra: Bon Bon and I have been besties for a long time.
Bon Bon: I know and there will be so many new places for us to explore.
Lyra: Oh that would be so cool.
Bon Bon: This will be so exciting.

“And team number ten we have Snips and Snails the Unicorn Bros.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Unicorn Bros
Snails: Snips and I thought this would be fun.
Snips: Yeah I can’t wait to win some money.
Snails: And to see the world.
Snips: Oh yeah that too.
Team Interview Ends
Discord then teleports the ten teams to The Mushroom Kingdom next to a Tower where the starting line was.
“Uh Discord where are we?” Twilight asked.
“We are at the Mushroom Kingdom, next to a tower where the next ten teams will be showing up.” Discord explained.
“Ah of course I remember this place.” Celestia said happily.
“You do?” Fluttershy asked.
“Yes it is one of our neighboring kingdoms, I can’t believe we never mentioned that.” Luna said.
“Also I’m the race, Mario and Luigi the Mario Bros.” Discord announced as Mario and Luigi walked over to Discord and the rest of the teams.
Team Interview: Mario Bros
Mario: Man this race will be interesting, I never expected to go up against a bunch of talking ponies.
Luigi: True, but we’ve seen weirder, I hope we get to win this.

Peach and Daisy began walking to the starting line.
“Please welcome the princesses of this land, Princess Peach and Princess Daisy, the Princesses.” Discord announced.
Team Interview: Princesses
Peach: Sometimes I need a break from ruling my kingdom and recently getting kidnapped.
Daisy: That and to explore many places beyond the Mushroom Kingdom. It'll be a whole lot of fun.

Wario and Waluigi then show up and join the teams.
“We now have the Anti-Mario Brothers Wario and Waluigi, the Money Makers.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Money Makers
Wario: These teams won't know what's coming to them when we pull our tricks on them.
Waluigi: Yes, soon the prize will be ours, WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Yoshi and Birdo soon join the crowd.
“And introducing our little dinosaur friends Yoshi and Birdo, we call them the Dino Buddies.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Dino Buddies
Birdo: Man I can’t wait to explore the world and try to win that 500,000 coins.
Yoshi: And to try out all the delicious foods out there. Oh it’ll be so awesome.

Toadsworth and Toadbert begin walking towards the crowd.
“Introducing Peach’s humble servants, Toadsworth and Toadbert the Mushroom Friends.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Mushroom Friends
Toadsworth: I signed up for this race so I can protect Peach and to try and win the money.
Toadbert: I’m just excited to travel the world, by boogity.
Team Interview Ends
Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong run right to the starting line.
“And here we have Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong aka Monkey Duo.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Monkey Duo
Donkey Kong: I’m so ready to win that money.
Diddy Kong: Plus it will give us a chance to travel the world and such.

Dreambert and Peasly are seen walking to the starting line.
“Next up we have two princes from the BeanBean Kingdom and Pillo Island, Prince Peasly and Prince Dreambert also known as the Princes.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Princes
Dreambert: Peasly and I met at one of Peach’s dinner parties. I could have gone with Starlow but she has no hands.
Peasly: And I was delighted to compete in this with Dreambert. We are planning on winning this thing.

Bowser and Bowser Jr are seen walking to the starting line.
“And from the Dark Lands, we have Bowser and Bowser Jr, The Koopa Royalty.” Discoed announces.
Team Interview: Koopa Royalty
Bowser Jr: Those teams don’t stand a chance against us.
Bowser: Indeed we have two very important traits, brains and brawn we are gonna win this for sure.

Kamek and Kammy Koopa are riding their brooms to the starting line.
“Our two wizards, we have Kamek and Kammy Koopa, the Magikoopas.” Discord announces.
Team Interview: Magikoopas
Kamek: We are here to help Lord Bowser and Lord Bowser Jr in winning the race.
Kammy Koopa: Yes, we have an alliance with them to split the prize fifty-fifty.
Kamek: We will be unstoppable together. Nyahahahahahaha.
Tem Interview Ends
In a flash of magic Dimentio and Fawful appeared shocking everyone from the Mushroom Kingdom.
“And finally we have Dimentio and Fawful or should I say the Wild Cards.” Discord announces.
“How are you two evil monsters still alive?” Mario asked incredulously.
“That’s for us to know, plumber boy.” Dimentio laughed.
Team Interview: Wild Cards
Dimentio: Fawful and I ran into each other at one point and we both had many things in common.
Fawful: Like how we both cannot stand the red and green mustaches, we shall soon be getting our revenge by sending them to the mustard of their doom. Eyahahahahahahhahaha.
Dimentio: Now now Fawful, Discord said killing them will only get us disqualified, but he is right we will begin our revenge against them.
Team Interview Ends
"Now that all of the twenty teams are here, this is where the starting line begins for the most intense race ever Each leg ends at a finish line, get there fast because the last team to arrive there, will be eliminated from the race." Discord explained which caused some worried expressions from some of the teams.
"However, the first team who makes it to the last finish line will win 500,000 of their currency." Discord explained making all the teams cheer.
“Now onto how the race goes." Discord goes to a tipbox that's just like a cloud. "This is where you'll be getting travel tips that will help you throughout the entire race. Just press the button and your tip comes right out. Also there is no flying or magic allowed, if you do fly or use magic you will be penalized. Everybody ready?"
All the teams nodded before going in a starting position.
“Ready, set, go!” Discord said making all the teams begin to run as they hit the button to the Cloud Box.
“Stairs or Scares, pick one of the challenges.” Rainbow Dash read.
Discord(Voiceover): Stairs or Scares is where you can either go up fifty flights of stairs or go climb outside the tower to get to the top, not to worry, in case you fall you will be caught by the bouncy clouds but if any of your partners fall you must start over.
“Climb fifty flights of stairs, yeah we’ll take Scares.” Sunset said.
“Stairs.” Luigi suggested.
“I’m down.” Mario shrugged.
The Apple Sisters, Pegasiblings, Classmates, Mario Bros, Dino Buddies, and The Monkey Duo were all taking the stairs.
“I guess we’re the only ones who decided to do Stairs.” Applejack said.
“Seems like it.” Yoshi agreed.
The teams began racing up the stairs, the Monkey Duo, Dino Buddies, and Mario Bros were doing great with the climbing, while the other three teams were trying to catch up.
Scootaloo was beginning to get tired and was starting to fall behind “Rainbow Dash, wait up.” Scootaloo called out exhausted.
Rainbow Dash then ran down back for her and put her on her back. “Hop on Scootaloo, because we’re going fast.”
Rainbow Dash began running fast and was catching up to the top three teams.
Meanwhile the rest of the teams were climbing up the tower by climbing up on rocks.
Dimentio and Fawful saw Bowser Jr struggling behind them and got a devious idea.
Team Interview: Wild Cards
Dimentio: Y’know Discord never said anything about sabotaging the other players.
Fawful: Ooh I am having the greatest of chortles.

Fawful then kicked Bowser Jr’s head and the Koopa prince began falling down onto the clouds.
“Junior!” Bowser screamed worried.
“What was that for?” Bowser asked angrily to the Wild Cards.
“We apologize that was an accident.” Dimentio lied through his teeth.
“For some reason I don’t believe you.” Bowser argues.
“Oh dear, guess you will have to be starting over what pity we have for you.” Fawful laughed.
“You will pay for this.” Bowser growled.
Team Interview: Koopa Royalty
Bowser: How dare those horrid menaces do that to my son, they will pay for that.
Bowser Jr: Indeed.

Meanwhile Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong were able to climb all the way up the stairs.
“Phew we made it.” Diddy Kong said exhausted.
Donkey Kong then pushed the button on the Cloud Box making it give out a tip.
“Okay, zip to the tip.” Donkey Kong read.
Discord(voiceover): You just have to take the zip line down, where I will give you the next tip.
Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong then get on the zip line and began going down the zip line.
After they made it to the bottom, Discord gave them their next travel tip.
“Looks like we’re heading to some place called Ponyville.” Diddy Kong said.
“Indeed, here is the airship.” Discord announces as an airship is seen behind them.
“Oh cool.” Donkey Kong said.
Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong then get on the airship.
The Mario Bros(Mario and Luigi) and Dino Buddies(Yoshi and Birdo) then climbed up to the top.
Mario then pushes the button on the Cloud Box and gets a tip.
Yoshi also pushes the button on the Cloud Box and gets a tip.
The two teams read the tips and begin going on the zip line where Discord gives them their next tip.
The Mario Bros and the Dino Buddies began running towards the airship.
Spike is seen climbing up the rocks with Rarity behind him.
"Come on Rarity, I can see the top of the tower." Spike called out.
"Wait up Spike, let me just catch my breath." Rarity said tired.
Team Interview: Oddballs
Spike: I'm a pretty good climber and while Rarity is alright at climbing she could improve a bit.
Rarity: I'm sorry but I get pretty tired at times.
Team Interview Ends
Starlight is seen climbing almost as good as Spike while Trixie is seen falling behind.
"Come on Trixie, I need you to climb faster so we can win this." Starlight said.
"Starlight this is pretty hard for me you know." Trixie argued.
Spike and Starlight soon make it to the top of the tower.
"You waiting on your partner too?" Spike asked.
"How'd you guess?" Starlight rolled her eyes playfully.
"Well seeing as though you are the only one up here, I sort of figured it out." Spike smirked.
Rarity and Trixie both make it to the top at the same time.
"I made it." Rarity said out of breath.
"Great job Rarity, let's go." Spike said happily as he and Rarity began running inside the door.
"Come on Trix." Starlight said making Trixie get up and start running.
The Oddballs(Spike and Rarity) and the Magical Misfits(Starlight and Trixie) get the next tip from the Cloud Box and begin getting on the zip line.
Spike and Rarity begin going down the zip line while Starlight took this time to talk to Trixie.
"All right Trixie it's gonna be a long drop, just warning you now." Starlight warned her friend.
"Relax Starlight, the Great and Powerful Trixie fears nothing." Trixie boasts before Starlight starts zip lining down as Trixie holds onto her.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Trixie screamed as she and Starlight went down the zip line.
Team Interview: Magical Misfits
Starlight(smirks): The Great and Powerful Trixie fears nothing, huh.
Trixie rubs the back of her head sheepishly.

Soon the Oddballs and Magical Misfits gain their travel tips and head to the airship.
The Magikoopas(Kamek and Kammy Koopa) are seen making it to the top of the tower.
"I wonder where Lord Bowser is." Kamek said curiously.
"Beats me, he normally performs better than this." Kammy Koopa replied.
With the Koopa Royalty(Bowser and Bowser Jr) they're seen trying to climb the rocks again.
"Great we're in last place." Bowser said angrily.
"Hey, it's not my fault." Bowser Jr huffed.
"I know it isn't son, it's that Fawful and Dimentio, I hate those two so much." Bowser growled.
Solo Interview: Bowser Jr
Bowser Jr: It doesn't take a lot to get dad's hatred, if you mess with him or his family and minions, you suffer the consequences.
Solo Interview Ends
Bowser and Bowser Jr are seen climbing the rocks very fast, passing the Unicorn Bros(Snips and Snails) the Princes(Peasly and Dreambert)
Soon the Magikoopas are seen on the zip line and heading downwards to the bottom.
Once they reach the bottom, they get their travel tip from Discord and go on the airship.
The Apple Sisters(Applejack and Applebloom) and the Pegasiblings(Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo) are seen making it to the top of the tower after climbing the stairs.
"Alright we made it." Rainbow Dash said happily.
"I'll get the next tip." Scootaloo said pushing the button on the Cloud Box giving her a tip.
Rainbow Dash grabs it with her teeth as she begins reading it.
Applejack also gets a tip from the Cloud Box and begins reading it.
The two teams then zip line to the ground, the Pegasiblings make it down there first and the Apple Sisters make it down next Discord gave the Pegasiblings their tip as they began heading to the airship which then took off.
"What the? How are we supposed to catch up?" Applejack asked incredulously.
"Simple, you go on the next airship." Discord smirks as an airship flies down.
Applejack and Applebloom then get on the airship after they get their tip.
The Wild Cards(Fawful and Dimentio), Pen Pals(Twilight and Sunset), the Royal Sisters(Celestia and Luna), and the Money Makers(Wario and Waluigi) are seen making it to the top of the tower and into the room where the zip line equipment was.
The four teams then zip lined down the building, got their tips from Discord and ran to their airship.
Peach and Daisy are seen climbing the rocks when Toadsworth began calling out to Peach "Princess, be careful you could fall and get seriously hurt."
"Toadsworth I'll be fine, plus there's a cloud to cushion us if we fall." Peach said calmly.
"Is he always like this?" Daisy asked.
"Yes but he means well." Peach answers.
"Hey look Peach, there's the top." Daisy said happily.
"Indeed, we're going to make it." Peach cheered.
Peach and Daisy then climb to the top and start running inside the room where the Cloud Box is.
"Zip To The Tip." Peach read.
"Oh yay I love zip lining." Daisy cheered.
Peach and Daisy then zip line to the bottom where Discord gave them their tip, the two princesses then went on the airship.
The Gal Pals(Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy), the Mushroom Friends(Toadsworth and Toadbert), and the Besties(Lyra and Bon Bon) were seen climbing up to the top of the tower and then seen zip lining down to the ground where Discord gave the Gal Pals their tip as they then began boarding the airship, but Discord then stopped the Mushroom Friends and the Besties.
"Nuh-uh, you four are not going on that airship, you're going on the third airship." Discord said as the second airship took off while the third airship showed up.
"But how am I supposed to protect the princess?" Toadsworth asked worried.
"Relax mushroom head she'll be perfectly safe." Discord rolled his eyes.
"Come on Toadsworth let's just go to our airship I'm sure she'll be fine." Toadbert said reassuringly.
"Perhaps you're right." Toadsworth said as they got their tip from Discord.
Lyra and Bon Bon also get their tip from Discord as they begin boarding the airship.
Meanwhile the Classmates(Sweetie Belle and Pipsqueak) were still busy climbing the stairs.
"Man this is really long." Sweetie Belle said out of breath.
"We can't stop now, we gotta make it to the end." Pipsqueak groaned.
Team Interview: Classmates
Sweetie Belle: It was a really long way up those stairs.
Pipsqueak: Perhaps we should've climbed the rock wall instead.
Team Interview Ends
Bowser and Bowser Jr are seen going down the zip line and onto the ground.
"What place are we in?" Bowser asked angrily.
"17th place, just head to the airship, oh and here's your tip." Discord said.
The last three teams the Princes, the Unicorn Bros, and the Classmates were all seen zip lining to the ground and began boarding the airship once Discord gave them their tips.
"On Flight 1, we have the Monkey Duo, the Mario Bros, the Dino Buddies, the Oddballs, the Magical Misfits, the Magikoopas, and the Pegasiblings. On Flight 2 we have the Apple Sisters, the Wild Cards, the Pen Pals, the Royal Sisters, the Money Makers, the Princesses, and the Gal Pals. And finally on flight 3 we have the Mushroom Friends, the Besties, the Koopa Royalty, the Princes, the Unicorn Bros, and the Classmates." Discord announced "Who's going to be in first place and who will be eliminated, find out on the Fantastic Race."

Anyway I saw a similar concept like this done before on FanFiction.net and figured why not try it out myself.
