“Shots fired! shots fired!” officer Red Spark of the baltimare police department said into his walkie talkie “send back up! I need back up!”
it was a good day today until he had received a call about a pony who had murdered his wife in his home, now here he is hiding behind his police cruiser while trying not to get shot and killed by a 12 gauge round ‘and here I thought it was gonna be a great day, with the clear skies and shit...’
“Red! where the fuck is our backup!?” his partner Comet Sweeper, a cyan-colored pegasus with a brown mane, asked as he returned fire at the suspect.
BANG!

BANG!
“Dispatch, where the hell is our backup? we need-” before Red could finish another round whizzed by his head by mere inches, he quickly ducked behind the car as the pony fired upon a few more shots at him and his partner. Comet meanwhile took out the empty mag from his pistol so he could load a fresh one in before making his way towards a tree, he leans his head out cautiously before shouting at the pony.
“Sir! please drop your weapon and come to us with your hooves in the air where we can see them!”
“No!” the pony, a unicorn with a light yellow mane and a red coat, yelled as he shot off another round barely missing Comet “you don't understand! I’m trying to save all of you! Everypony!”
“Save everypony my flank! You killed your bucking wife!” Comet yelled back.
“SIr please listen to us! lay down your firearm! I dont want to shoot you!” Red said as the pony shot at him again.
BANG!
“No! please! I don't want to kill any of you! nopony has to die today!” the pony said this time with fear in his voice.
“if you dont want to kill anyone I suggest you lay down your gun right now!”
“for the love of Celestia, I dont think he’s gonna give up Comet,” Red said as he tried to move towards Comet’s position only to be shot at again, missing him again.
then, in the distance, they heard the beautiful sound of more Police sirens approaching ‘finally! looks like backup is coming!’ Red thought to himself.
Comet peeked from behind the tree with his pistol aimed at the pony “sir this is your last chance! put down your gun and surrender! dont make me-”
BANG!
Red looked back to see Comet drop his gun before falling onto the ground, bleeding out onto the grass “Comet!” Red shouted as he got up from behind the car and fired his pistol at the pony.
“you motherbucker!” he yelled in rage as he unloaded the rest of his ammunition.

All 4 rounds managed to find their target as each bullet hit the pony in the chest before the last one went through and out the back of his head, he dropped his shotgun and falling onto the ground, lifeless. Red reached over to his walkie-talkie “dispatch! I got an officer down! send paramedics here, please!” he shouted as he ran over to his fallen friend.
Red took off his vest (which was all blooded) and applied pressure to his wound as he reassures Comet “Comet! you’re gonna be alright okay? just stay with me!”
“Dont worry about me Red...I’ll be fine...if I survived back in Vietmane I’m sure as shit gonna survive this...” he said as he grinned at him.
“Y-yeah...yeah you’re gonna live cabrón!”
“Y-you and me R-Red...if we can make it out o-of that shithole...w-we sure as shit can make it out of this!” Comet said as a few police cruisers and an ambulance finally arrived at the scene.
“Dad!”
Red heard as he was immediately hugged tightly by his daughter Ramirez, he smiles at her as he ruffled her mane and hugged her back.
“Whoa, there kiddo! What's got you worked up?” he asked as he took off his cap and placed it on a nearby stand.
She looked at him as if she was gonna cry “I heard what happened, dad! I-I thought I was gonna lose you like mom!”
“Dont worry mi hija, you’re not gonna lose me. if anything you should be worried about Comet” Red then walks over towards the living room and sat himself down on the couch before reaching towards the coffee table and picking up the TV remote, turning the TV in the process.
“is Comet gonna be okay, Dad?” she asked as she sat next to her father.
Red chuckled to himself “he will be, if he could survive that helicopter crash in vietmane then he could survive being shot by a shotgun. so, wheres Star at?”
“He’s out getting us some pizza from that place we saw yesterday”
“Ooh, pizza! that sounds like a great idea!”
The two continued to chat with each other for hours into the night until finally, Star arrived with the pizza. placing it on the kitchen counter, he entered the living room to see his soon-to-be wife and her father talking to each other.
“Star!” Ramirez shouted as she got off the couch and approached him quickly before hugging him tightly.
“Hey Rammy!” he said, hugging her back. he looked over and saw Red smiling at them “hey mister Red”
“Star we talked about this, you don't have to call me mister all the time. just call me Red, that's all you have to say”
“Hehe, sorry Red,” he said nervously as he moved his hoof through his mane.
“So Star,” Ramirez asked “about that pizza”
“Oh yeah, it's in the kitchen Rammy. you get the pizza and I’ll get the plates and cups, okay?”
“Okay!” she said cheerfully as she kissed him on the cheek (which caused him to blush heavily) before going into the kitchen with Star.
“hehe, those two are a great couple,” Red said to himself “they’re perfect for each other, reminds me of myself and her mother...”
he then looked out the window and stared at the moon before letting out a sigh and thought to himself ’ if only you were here...to see what had become of our beautiful daughter...’
“Dad! come get some pizza!” Ramirez shouted.
“coming!” Red replied as he got off the couch and taking one last look at the moon before making his way to the dining room and joining them.

Yay! the first chapter is down! now I can relax and think about what to do in the next chapter! (and sorry about this being a short chapter)
last night...
after the little shootout incident, the paramedics had already taken Officer Comet sweeper to the hospital and his partner Officer Red Spark had gone home and called it day along with everypony else who showed up on the scene. well except for two ponies: Officer Nimble Force and Amber night who are sitting in their police cruiser outside the home where the incident happened.
“ugh, I don't even know why we’re here” Nimble Force, a hazel brown earth pony stallion with grey-ish mane, said to his partner as he played around with his baton.
“that's what you get for sleeping during briefing dingus” Amber Night, a yellow-ish unicorn mare with a light black mane, replied.
Nimble and Amber had been friends for a long time, and during that time Nimble has had a huge crush on her. he wanted to confess to her his feelings and how he loved her a lot but never had the guts to, reason? he is too shy and nervous to tell her and thinks that she might reject him.
‘m-maybe this is the night...’ he thought to himself ‘the night where I confess to her my feelings...’
“Should I explain to you why we’re here?” Amber said, cutting off Nimble from his thoughts.
“I guess...”
“Alright, well you better be listening because I’m only gonna tell you once. we’re just here to guard the evidence and make sure nopony goes in and explores the place like what happened last time”
“Ah...alright, so just guard the place?” Nimble asked.
Amber nodded “yup”
Nimble gulped “h-hey amber, c-can I tell you something?” he asked nervously.
“Yeah?” she replied, looking at him and raising her eyebrows.
“U-Um...I-” before Nimble could finish his sentence they both see movement near the left side of the house.
“Did you see that?” Amber asked.
“yeah, should we check?” Nimble replied as he got out his flashlight.
“I’ll call it in while you check it out, alright?” Amber said, Nimble nodded and got out of the car, turning his flashlight on. Amber watched as her partner approached with caution while calling out to see if anypony is there, she watched silently for a bit before turning to her radio and calling it in with dispatch.
Minutes had gone by and Nimble still hasn’t returned, growing worried for her friend Amber got out of the car and took out both flashlight and pistol with her magic. she approached where Nimble had gone through slowly and cautiously, getting ready in case she had to shoot somepony to which she hoped she wouldn’t.
Amber spotted the gate that leads to the backyard open with Nimble's flashlight on the ground beside it, she picked up the flashlight and saw that it is covered in blood!? she quickly dropped it on the ground and gulped nervously, then she heard what sounded like crunching along with moaning?
Amber shinned her flashlight in the direction she heard the noise from and what she saw is downright horrifying, there on the ground lay Nimble’s motionless body. on top of him is an earth pony who is currently biting down and ripping apart the flesh on his neck!
she felt herself tear up as she watched the decayed-looking pony eat her friend, Amber raised her pistol and aimed it at the pony's head (who hasn’t seen her yet). but before she could pull the trigger, another one of those things came up from behind her and bit down on her neck, killing her before feasting on her lifeless body.
“Good Morning Baltimare to E306! The largest radio broadcasting station in all of Equestria! Where we play music of what this modern era could offer! Today we will be playing a song called “could have been me”! So strap yourself in and enjoy the music ! On E306!”
as the song started to play, Ramirez slowly sat up in her bed while trying to adjust her eyes to the bright morning light shining through the window in her room. Feeling a bit thirsty she got off her bed and made her way towards the kitchen where she could smell the strong scent of maple syrup, when she got there she saw Star sitting at the table and stuffing his face with pancakes while her father was busy probably making another batch of pancakes.
“Good Morning Rami!” her husband said cheerfully as she opened the fridge to look for something to drink.
“Morning Star...” she replied tiredly, trying to suppress a yawn as she took out a carton of milk before setting it on the counter and grabbing a cup with her magic. pouring the milk into the cup before putting it back in the fridge, Ramirez then took a seat next to her husband.
“You tired huh?” Star asked as he ruffled the small changeling’s mane.
“I guess you could say that...” she replied, taking a sip of some milk.
“Why are you tired, sweetie?” Red asked as he placed a plate of freshly baked pancakes in front of her.
“Well, she stayed awake last night to watch a movie,” Star said.
“Really?” Red then added some syrup onto her pancakes.
“Hey! in my defense "Forrest Gump" is a good movie!”
“Eh, fair. it is a great movie, I remember when I saw it for the first time.” her father said, chuckling to himself as he remembered the time.
“Hey Dad, are you gonna eat?” Ramirez asked.
“Nah, I already ate. I’m just gonna chill in the living room and watch the news on TV for a bit, alright?” kissing her on the cheek before going into the living room, sitting on the couch, and turning the TV on to the news channel.
“-Top Story today: Vanhoover hospital is the 5th one to go into quarantine followed by: Manehatten, Fillydelphia, Castle Rock, and Ponyville. Tomorrow Princess Twilight Sparkles will hold a press conference on what to do about this situation, in other News a-”
“Hey Dad, do you think it will get worse?” Ramirez asked as she took a seat next to her father.
“Nah, don't worry about it Rami. I’m sure then within a week or something it will all calm down and return to normal”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”
The little changeling smiled and hugged her father as he began to ruffle her mane for a bit.
"Hey Rami, I'm gonna go to the grocery store. need anything?" Star asked as he headed towards the door, taking his cap off the coat rack.
"Hmmm...maybe some eggs and butter?" She asked.
Star nodded "Alright, how about you Red?"
He shrugged "Eh, maybe a soda"
"You got it, see you later Rami! you too Red" Star then exited the apartment.
Ramirez waved happily as he closes the door behind him "Bye Star!"
Star is currently whistling a tune as he makes his way towards the elevator, not noticing the lights flicker a bit or how quiet and empty the hallways are. you'd usually see somepony pass by or something, even if there was nopony there you would still hear them talking or doing something in their apartment though faint. but nothing.
Pressing the elevator call button, he leaned against the wall and pulled out his phone. playing one of his games to pass the time 'a soldier has to fine a way to avoid getting bored to death'
As he waited for the elevator his ears suddenly perked up, he could hear faint singing coming from somewhere. looking up from his phone, he did his best to try to make out the lyrics "somepony's got a neat voice, I'll give them that" he said to himself quietly as he listened.
"-Oh Lord, the great collapse. Won't be our end" "When the world falls into the flames. We will rise again"
"Uh...hello? is somepony there?" he asked out loud while looking around, hearing no response back or the singing.
Suddenly, the elevator bell goes off, signaling that it has arrived. Star looked around one more time as the doors opened behind him, shrugging, he puts away his phone and walks into the elevator 'very strange...' he thought to himself as the elevator doors closed and began to descend.

Yay, finally, a second chapter.
a short one but eh, at least writer's block is gone...for now...
Northern Baltimare airport
Ramirez sat on a bench outside the airport, looking around as ponies went about their business. Talking to each other, hugging, and standing around and waiting for somepony or hailing a cab. The little changeling continued to search through the sea of ponies until she laid her eyes on a familiar face.
"Griffy! over here! I'm right here!" Rami shouted as she waved, earning a few looks though she didn't mind. Nothing could stop the smile on her face.
"Ramirez! it's been a while!" Griff said as he ran towards her, immediately hugging her when he got there "How's my little bug?" he asked.
"You're little bug has been doing fine in her apartment, missing her lovely pony and soon-to-be husband" She then gave him a kiss on the cheek, wagging her tail.
Breaking off the hug, the two made their way to the parking lot. chatting to each other about how things are going, anything new happening, the usual stuff.
"So, how are Meta and the kids?" Rami asked as she grabbed his bags and puts them in the trunk of her car.
"He's doing fine actually, the kids are fine too. Thumbtack is going to start his first day of kindergarten soon"
"R-Really!?"
He nodded "Eeyup, he's really excited and nervous about it. I mean, shit, we all were when it comes to the first day of school"
Putting the last bag in, she closed the trunk and went towards the driver's side. hopping in and closing the door as Griff got into the passenger's seat, she then turn towards him "And how about Zinc? how's she?"
"She's doing her usual thing; starting chaos. I swear she's going to be the death of me..." He said as he laid back into his seat
"Oof, I know how that is. me being her mother and all" Ramirez then turn the ignition on and backed up the car before switching gear and driving out of the parking lot "Hey Griff, how long do you plan on staying here?"
"Eh, enough to hang out with my lil' changeling before going to manehatten"
Suddenly, his stomach began to grumble. he looked at her and smiled sheepishly "That and maybe go out to eat, that plane trip got me hungry for something"
Ramirez giggled as she stopped the car at a red light "Well, maybe I could make a stop for something, maybe...at that Neighponese restaurant I saw on the way"
His ears immediately perked up, straightening out and grinning "YES!"
"Heheheh, alright alright, we'll stop by and pick you up some ramen on our way to my apartment block" she looked up and saw the light turn green, giving them the go-ahead to continue.
A local Neighponese restaraunt
"Ue o muite arukou" "Namida ga kobore nai you ni" "Omoidasu haru no hi" "Hitoribotchi no yoru"
As the Neighponese song played through the restaurant, both Ramirez and Griff sat at a booth eating their noodles. Ramirez ate hers happily while Griff struggled with the chopsticks they were using.
"Eh, shit, fucking things won't work," Griff said as he struggled with the utensils.
Ramirez giggled as she watch him struggle "Oh you dingus, and here I thought you were pretty "decent" with those"
Griff grumbled in response, after a bit of struggling he gave up and picked up the bowl, downing the noodles down which earned some odd looks from the guest in the restaurant.
As Griff sat the now-empty bowl on the ground Ramirez took a sip from her sweet tea, sighing with delight at the taste. 'This is now my new favorite restaurant she thought to herself' finishing her drink.
"Well, now that my appetite has been quenched, I think we should head on over to your apartment," Griff said as he hailed a waitress over to them, asking the kind Neighponese mare for the check.
"Eeyup, also, I'll pay for us" Ramirez was about to take out some bits before being stopped by Griff.
"Nah, I'll pay for us" putting the bits on the table, he smiled at the small changeling as the waitress nodded silently and collected the bits. Putting it in a pouch on her black apron before picking up the cups and bowls and walking off.
As the two left the restaurant it had already begun to get dark outside, some stores and bars began to turn their neon signs on while the lamp posts lit up the streets. Ramirez and Griff sat in the car in silence, occasionally yawning as they stopped at red lights and watched ponies walk across the street.
Breaking the silence, Griff looked over at Rami "So...how's your father?"
"He's doing fine, enjoying his job on the police force" Rami replied as she turned left.
"That's good that's good...is...is he still mad about...you know?" he said awkwardly, looking at the buildings passing by.
"About what happened in Ponyville? Yeah, kinda"
He sighed "Look I'm...again, I'm sorry about what happened Rami. I-I didn't mean to__"
Ramirez cuts him off "Griffy, please, I know you're sorry about what happened. maybe if you apologize again he'll let bygones be bygones"
"I...I hope so, I dont wanna make things awkward at your place..."
"I'm sure he'll forgive you" turning on the radio, Ramirez switched between channels while keeping her eyes on the road before landing on some calming music "Now, let's just enjoy the ride, okay Griffy?"
He nodded "Y-Yeah, that...sounds fine"
"Oye, Papa! I'm back!" Ramirez shouted as she entered the apartment room with Griff, setting his things down next to the couch as he closed the door behind him.
Looking around Ramirez shouted again "Hey Dad, I'm home! where are you?"
Walking into the kitchen, Griff finds a sticky note on the fridge "Hey Rami, there's a note on the fridge"
"Oh?" After turning on the TV Ramirez went into the kitchen where she sees Griff standing near the fridge, like he had said there is a yellow sticky note on it. Taking the note she quickly reads it:
"Hola Mija, I'm sorry but I won't be here for tonight.
I got called back to the station for some reason, I dont know what but chief sounds serious. you can have some leftover pizza, if you dont then I left some bits on the counter for you. I'll see you in the morning my little taco.
From your Papa, I love you"
"Well, at least there's no awkwardness for tonight," Griff said as he makes his way back into the living room and plopped himself down on the couch.
"For now I guess" Joining him, Ramirez sat close to him and laid her head on his shoulder. Griff took the remote from the coffee table and switched it to the news.
" __ And yet again, a peaceful protest turns into a riot after a police officer shot and killed a sick homeless pony in the streets of Los Angeneighs. Local law enforcement then proceeds to try and break up the protest which leads to what you are about to see here"
The TV then cuts to protesters running away as SWAT units shoot tear gas into the crowd, some decide to stay back and fight which only ended with a few of them getting beaten with a baton from an officer.
Then, somepony from what remained of the crowd threw a Molotov. the officers raised their shields as they smashed into the road in front of them, Ramirez gasped as they retaliated by shooting either more tear gas or rubber bullets before charging at the protesters.
"What will Princess Twilight do about these problems spreading across our nation? a nation of peace and harmony to all quickly turned into riots and disorder, how long will it be until Baltimare, our city, becomes the next LA? and if this continues to happen, when will martial law be enabled and the national guard mobilized?"
Turning the TV off, Ramirez got off the couch and rubbed her temple "I...I think I should go to sleep..."
Griff nodded "I think that's the best idea, I'll take a shower and met you in bed" he then gets up and gives her a little kiss "And Rami, dont be afraid. Whatever happens me and Star along with your father will protect you, okay?"
Smiling, Ramirez hugged him tightly "Okay, I love you Griffy
He chuckled as he hugged her back "I love you too, Rami"
The briefing room, Baltimare Police Department
"Now, I bet you are all wondering why we are all gathered here," The police chief said as he looked around the room, watching his officers nod and whisper to each other.
"Well, I dont wanna be the bearer of bad news but...The night after the shootout between an armed pony and Officers Comet sweeper and Red Spark__" he then points at Red who is sitting in the left front corner of the room, Comet not being there since he's still in the hospital "__Two officers, Nimble Force and Amber Night, who were stationed outside of the house where the shootout happened were found...dead"
The whole room went quiet, nopony dared to move a muscle. After a bit of silence, Red was the first to speak up "Dead? are you telling me we lost two of our own?"
The chief sighed, shaking his head sadly "Apparently so, their bodies were found in the backyard...they...it looked like a wild animal went to town on them..."
"Oh my Celestia..."
"I-I think I'm gonna be sick..."
"What monster would do this kind of thing!?"
Some of the officers ran out of the room, presumably towards the restroom, while everypony else demanded some justice to whoever did this disgusting act.
"Rest assured, we will do everything in our power to bring these monsters to justice. But for now, a funeral will be held next Friday in honor of our downed officers. May Nimble and Amber rest in peace, dismissed..."
Red sighed as he watched everypony get up from their seats and leave the room, he wasn't showing it but deep down he was boiling in anger 'I will find the motherbuckers who did this...and put a 9 millimeter between their eyes, mark my bucking words...'
