Previous Chapter

"I know I should stop with these recordings this needs to be said and this needs to be told about that dimension that I visited it was... it was..."

*Holds back breath*

"W-w-w-words can't describe what I saw,"

"It was something ripped out of a war-filled nightmare. These beings, they weren't Lombaxes they were these furless creatures but they were screaming all of them. I didn't see it at first but at first, I thought they were some kind of robots but these THINGS weren't like the people that ran from them it was-,"

"Those things were slaughtering them like... like... like they were butchers their weapons were like chainsaws but in the forms of axes and swords ripping apart both male, female, and even the children weren't spared!"

*Cries slightly*

"They didn't show any mercy and I thought I was safe but one of those red and brass things found me! It ripped me from my hiding spot and I thought I was done for but then there was a flash,"

...

"They were like the red things but unlike them, they didn't seem to be twisted. Unlike the red ones these grey-clad beings didn't make a sound as they went forward armed with strange-looking melee weapons and heavier looking armor,"

*Claims down*

"The being then began to slice the rip apart the monster with massive claws. When it finished off the red twisted freak it turned to me and it just stared at me out of all them it stared at me its strange claw-double-chainsaw-gauntlets was covered in the red blood of the monster. It just stared at me with its black lenses on its helmet not making a sound as this one out of all of them was the biggest of all of them. For nearly five minutes we stared at one another before another smaller being came forward but unlike the giant was a female same color but with some blue markings on the arms and legs of her armor but she sported a shark tail,"

...

"Were these some kind of sharks? The giant didn't have a tail well... not that I could remember but then that larger creature then turned back to the battlefield and moved forward as it moved to the battle. The female shark creature held her weapon in her hand before turning to walk with the giant as the fire kept spreading,"

"I stayed there as I tried to process what happened before I then gathered enough strength to open a portal back home after retrieving the dimensionator. That dimension... It was something that only the darkest minds could have created I've seen some bad dimensions out there and this one that seemed to come from nowhere just needs to stay off the map. I don't care what the council says it needs to stay off the map and to those who are listening to this do not I repeat DO NOT enter dimension 40K3 I got lucky. You might not be so lucky,"

(Three days later)

"Friends... Loved ones... Today we are here to bury a beloved prince of the people," Princess Celestia begun. "Shining armor who was more than a prince he was a leader, a soldier, a friend, a son, a brother, a husband, and most important of all a father,"

Standing on the stage Celestia sighed as she took a breathe as the body of Shining armor was before the stage his body dressed in his death military uniform.

"For he was willing to die for his family and his kingdom from the evil Sombra who took his life while two heroes avenged his death," Celestia said as the two heroes sat in the crowd with Hunter in his armor as normal as for Rivet who was wearing a black jacket and pants for her tomboy personality not feeling comfortable wearing a dress. "Shining was a good stallion for he did everything in his power to make sure his family-"

"CHEATER!" A female voice interrupted Celestia.

Hunter and Rivet blinked as they turned to the crowd no knowing where the scream came from, Celestia blinked as she spoke into the mic.

"-Um... he was a loving father who deeply cared for his wife and daughter-"

"LIES!" Another female voice shouted from another direction.

"Please this is a funeral and-"

"HE WASN'T A HERO! HE WAS A MONSTER LIKE PRINCE BLUEBLOOD!" A voice echoed throughout the palace courtyard.

Hunter got up looking around as Rivet spoke.

"Where are you doing?"

"Looking who is saying that," Hunter then shouted. "AND WHY IS THAT?"

"BECAUSE BLUEBLOOD WASN'T THE ONLY STALLION WHO RAPED MARES!" One of the females fell for it as he then pointed forward into the crowd behind the fence.

"You! Come forth and say that to the family who had lost their son!" Hunter demanded as the one mare he was pointing at wore a completely black dress and a large lipped black hat that covered her face. The two who were standing beside her move aside.

"GLADLY!" The woman and nearly 14 others came forward in the same dress to the family who was morning over the dead Shining armor.

"Who are you?" Celestia asked as the 15 mares didn't speak still with their hats down.

Hunter then moved to them as Rivet followed suit.

"Speak," Hunter said in a low voice not too happy that these 15 who he didn't care if they were mares but disrespecting the warrior all though a bit reckless was still a father to the young Flurry heart.

"Why speak we can show," One of the mares said as they then took off their hat as Luna who was next to her sister blinked.

"What? Your the maid staff," Luna spoke.

"Wait I'm confused but I got feeling I'm not the only one," Rivet spoke. "What are you girls doing? The man is dead and your spitting insults at his funeral? Talk about throwing salt upon the wound... what did he do to you?"

"He wasn't the pony that everypony thinks he is... he had sex maids like us if we refused he would beat then use us anyway," A mare spoke with a black eye. "You call once called shining armor a great warrior right?"

Hunter nodded. "He was willing to put his life for those he loved and his home he would had made a great general back home why do you ask me this?"

"So then if anypony can rape someone then fight a great battle and die can be forgiven for what they did before the battle?" One of the mares asked.

Hunter didn't say a word.

"That's what we thought," Hunter's eyes narrowed behind his helmet.

"Leave. Now," Hunter spoke.

"Oh so your now ordering us around Dragon?" The middle mare said as she then stood up to Hunter. "What will you do if we don't *Turns to rivet* rip off our arms as you did her?"

Rivet took a step back as some in the crowd gasp.

"He did-"

"Lying to yourself wouldn't help you honey looked where it got us... pain so much pain that we were too scared to speak out when he was alive for he might cause us more pain. It's not too late for you to tell everyone what your 'partner' did to you," A mare on the fair left interrupted.

Hunter closed his fist as he narrowed his eyes the familiar feeling of the flames of hate burned deep within him as he held back rage that could rival Kharn's own rage.

"..."

'Don't do it, Hunter... Don't do it... Don't do something you're going to regret... Don't fall for their bait... Don't give in to the hate,'

He felt a hand slip into his own, he didn't need to turn to know who it was.

"They're not worth it big guy," Rivet said as he relaxed his grip and held her hand gently.

"I know," Hunter closed his eyes before inhaling. "I forget you,"

This surprised everyone he then spoke, he then turned to the family before going over to Cadance and placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't let them poison your thoughts of what you think about Shining armor," He then turned to Flurry heart. "As for you little one... never stop loving your father for he loved you and your mother with all of his heart,"

One of the mares snorted at the remark.

"Please the only thing that fucked face stallion only loved-"

*SMACK!*

The mare stumbled back as she held her cheek upon seeing Rivet with her left arm out after slapping her.

"Shut the hell up," Rivet growled. "Unless you want me to hit you with my other arm then I'll show you what a real fucked face,"

The crowd didn't know what to think until somepony from the crowd whistled, the mare who was hit snarled as Rivet crossed her arms. No one said a word as Hunter gave his respects to the family and shining not knowing if these mares were telling the truth or not before going over to mares. He just stared at them before began to walk forward as the mares moved out of his way, Rivet followed suit before climbing onto his back before flipping off the mares in black.

(At the hotel)

"That was the first funeral I've been to in years and I have to say... it was the worst of the worst in the history of worst funerals," Rivet said throwing off her jacket onto the couch. "And those mares thought you ripped off my arm? You of all people!? GAH... THE NERVE!"

Rivet then sat down on the couched arms crossed before noticing Hunter just standing there.

"Hey... you alright big guy?" She asked but no answer as she uncrossed her arms. "Hunter?"

Rivet then rose up before going over to Hunter and tapping her right hand on the metal plate.

"You with me Hunter?" Rivet spoke in a worried tone as he then snapped out of it looking down.

"Sorry just thinking," Hunter then moved to the fridge where he then pulled out a bottle of fireball whiskey.

"Think about what? Is it what those girls said? Look Hunter-"

"Not that," He then removed his helmet. "Just... After what we did they hate us,"

Rivet titled her head.

"I don't follow,"

"Sliver rush, Twilight, and now these mares. What have we ever done wrong to cause them to hate us?" Hunter asked as he then pulled the cork off and began to drink from the bottle. "I'm just so confused,"

Rivet sighed.

"Yeah I understand what you mean," She held her hand as Hunter handed her the bottle to which she took a shot of the Whiskey before handing it back placing her arms on the island. "We help them even though we hand no idea where in the multiverse we are and went out of our way going into danger only to be hated for it,"

...

Hunter then turned to the pool.

"Wanna try the pool? Could help us right about now," Hunter asked.

Rivet looked up then to the pool.

"I don't have a swimsuit," Rivet said as Hunter hummed.

"Well, I could go to my room while you have the pool to yourself,"

"What? I just told you I don't have a swimsuit," Rivet repeated. "Are you sure you're OK?"

"I am and I didn't say you need a swimsuit. You could go in without anything," Hunter explained to her as Rivet blushed.

"Oh..."

"We can take turns in the pool where you go first and whenever you want we can switch-"

Rivet held his hand causing him to stop.

"We can do it together but no looking,"

Hunter blinked.

"Well not as good as a hot spring but still nice," Rivet said while Hunter was on the other side wearing a blindfold.

"I've never been to a hot spring before," Hunter explained. "Nocturne has plenty of hot water but hot springs aren't considered safe on a death world,"

Rivet looked at him as his entire body this was the first time seeing him without his nerve suit but as the nerve suit, his scales were black as night. He looked like a dragon, to say the least without wings or a tail heck his 'thing' seemed to be covered like most animal-like beings of the galaxy back home not... like she knows that for the experience or anything.

But she did have to do something for her heat cycles though.

She blushed slightly at the thought before noticing something on Hunter.

Were those... brandings?

Walking over (the pool is pretty shallow) she looked at Hunter's body, she couldn't really see before since they were dark brands that seemed to blend in with his black scales. She reached out and placed the large one on his chest as Hunter slightly flinched at the contact before letting her feel the branding.

"Did it hurt?" She asked.

"A little," Hunter said before raising his arms out. "But these hurt the most,"

Covering his forearms seemed to be burned from hot chains.

"I was chosen to put a brother of mine to rest," Hunter explained.

"His name?"

"Vul'en Konn," Rivet blinked upon hearing that.

"Wait did you take his last name?"

Hunter nodded.

"Why?"

"Out of respect... unlike the rest of my brothers I didn't have a family for the dark Eldar slaughtered them after they hid me away I was found by the 3rd company where Adrax heard my cries from under floorboards of my home," Hunter explained. "When I was found to be worthy of becoming a son of Vulkan. Vul'en and I became friends during our trials of fire and we even made it to become a part of the 7th company for our final tests,"

Hunter then rubbed the burns.

"His family treated me as if I were their own kin and when he died they offered me the family name for me to take it... so I did as a reminder of my brother who had the same dream of becoming veterans of the 3rd company," Hunter sighed as he lowered them into the water. "Sometimes the memory of his death haunts me in my dreams,"

Rivet then looked down at him with a look of worry in her eyes.

"Did you love your brother?" Rivet asked as Hunter nodded.

"I love all my brothers," He said as Rivet then asked.

"Even though some didn't want to be around you as much due to your mutations?" Rivet question.

"Yes,"

Rivet then inhaled before she gathered the courage to speak again this time with the question.

"Hunter..."

"Yes Rivet?"

"What are we?" Rivet spoke.

"Partners," Hunter answered.

"No... what are we really?"

"I don't understand," Hunter spoke as Rivet her robotic arm with her real one

"I think you do big guy," Rivet said in a slightly worried voice. "I had to think about it too,"

Hunter still blindfolded looked up at her.

"It's just what do you think of me for real? I mean I'm what you would call a Xeno and you were made to kill Xenos but yet here we are after we learned from each other and knowing I'm a Xeno still you cared for me as no one has ever had," Rivet explained. "You defended me when Blueblood came at me and when he pulled the pin on the grenade you shield me with your own body without a second thought then you wanted to make sure I was alright and I..."

She sighed.

"I held onto you because I was scared knowing I was inches away from a blast for shrapnel, sure I've faced death before but that? It scared the hell out of me," Rivet explained. "What I'm saying is... is this real? This thing between us?"

Hunter 'looked' at her before reaching out and placing his hand on her cheek as she looked at him.

"I believe so," explained as Rivet gave a small smile before holding his hand her soft fur brush against his smooth scales.

Rivet then moved in and kissed him surprising Hunter before she sat down on his lap, Hunter's super computer-like brain raced around like a chicken with its head cut off before he came to from the action. Wrapping his arms around her belly and placing his head on top of her own head he pulled her warm body close to his own cold blood body.

...

The two laid on the bed still blindfolded and still nude the Lombax was in the grasp of the salamander who would protect her with his life if need be. Rubbing her back Hunter didn't know what to do for the life he had before this he had no idea and the salamander life before this didn't know what to do either. If only he was a space wolf maybe he would know but here he was as a son of Vulkan still like Rivet once told Clank 'learn to improvise is a skill you learn very fast' and he was a quick learner.

It's just he never got the chance to hold someone like this, he never thought he would love someone so much he would want to hold them so close to his heart(s) and not let go. Her fur was so soft against his body and he could feel her breath on him as well followed by a low purr noise from the white-furred Lombax in his arms.

Rivet could hear Hunter's heart(s) pounding like a pair of drums in his chest it sounded like they going into overdrive as they hitting his fused ribs. He was nervous... so was she for this whole new level they had now was something she never thought they would be doing but one where she felt like she belonged. Here in the Astartes arms, she felt something she has never had before the love of another like this before sure she had friends but this is different this is something special. This was something she could trust with her life and he will give him in return for he would risk it all to protect her from the way he held her in his arms she could tell deep in her soul.

Maybe it's a good thing that the dimensionator broke otherwise she would have never found Hunter and he would never have found her.

Author's Note

Well then...

Kind of a hate-to-love chapter huh? Woulder who those two were in the recording...

Also, Hunter defending shining's memory btw and there is no psychical proof that some mares word which doesn't mean they're wrong.

I know it's not my best work and everything but I got to say this right now... I love fluff just saying it not all relationships really hold each other close for the sake of showing affection. It's a sad time to be alive because more and mores relationships are now either for money, pleasure or something other than love.

Someone asked me once word for word: "Why do all your stories have to have romance in them? God its always something with you,"

Well because is something I enjoy, I like seeing and reading about characters being happy with someone they have close to their hearts. Then there are those non-con kind stories that just don't sit right with me it just... why are you using yourself like that your only hurting yourself-

Never mind going in too deep now... best to finish this and head off.

Another chapter 3,000+ words... I'm taking a break on Saturday so I can think about life and clean out my room.
