The Moon's Dawn
Act One (The Final Act)
Load Full Story“THE NIGHT- WILL LAST- FOREVER!”
As Twilight Sparkle cowed beneath the roar of Nightmare Moon’s vicious laugh, shaking the walls of the crumbling castle they found themselves in, she reflected on the destruction of the elements of harmony, her last hope. It truly seemed all was lost, and that this villain would rule over the magical land of Equestria forever. But- at that moment she heard five familiar voices approaching, her five friends, and she realized something truly powerful. Akin to the 6 elements of harmony, these 6 friends could, and would defeat the wicked Nightmare Moon. Applejack, and her down to earth honesty; Rainbow Dash, as loyal as they come; Rarity, a beacon of generosity; Fluttershy, the true meaning of kindness; Pinkie Pie, with her endless joviality and laughter; then finally herself, Twilight Sparkle, as the bearer of the element of magic.
“Of course,” she thought to herself. “The elements were within us all along!“ and Twilight knew, with these six ponies, anything was possible.
As she brought her friends closer, she roared at the interloper. “You think you can destroy the elements of harmony just like that? Well, you're wrong! The true spirits of the elements of harmony are right here!”
And with that, a great outpouring of rainbow brilliance flowed from the newly transformed elements, and the vicious Nightmare Moon was laid to her rest. When the dust and mortar settled, and the ponies finally came to, another great brilliance filled the hall to greet them, the brilliance of warm sunlight.
“Princess Celestia!”, the ponies gushed in unison.
With a voice to match her regal posture, Celestia greeted them, “Twilight Sparkle, my most faithful student, I knew you could do it.”
Twilight, taken aback, stammered, “But you told me the elements were nothing but an old mare’s tale!”
Celestia chuckled softy with regal grace, “I told you that you needed to make some friends, and nothing more. I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon's return, and I could see it was you as well, and only you, who had the magic inside to defeat her. But, I knew you could not unleash that magic until you permitted true friendship into your heart. Now,” Celestia said softly, with a foreign look in her eyes, “ if only another will as well. Princess Luna!”
The ponies were puzzled for a short time, darting their eyes all about the hall, until they rested on a small purple figure laying sullenly on the dais where moments before, the terrible Nightmare Moon had proudly stood. As Celestia strode towards the figure, this 'Princess Luna', the small pastel alicon could do nothing but look on with horror as the great Princess approached, and with regal grace, exclaimed, “It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this. It is time to put our differences behind us. We were meant to rule” and, with minute hesitation, “together, little sister.”
“SISTER?!” The ponies exclaimed, breaking the silence, shock painted on their faces.
“Will you accept my… friendship?”, offered Celestia.
There was but a moment’s hesitation before the younger princess blurted out, with a great rush of emotion, “I'm so sorry! I missed you so much, big sister!”
With tears forming in her eyes, Celestia beamed, “I’ve missed you too, Luna.”
It was a long moment, with our 6 ponies looking on, before anyone spoke.
Still embracing each other tightly, Luna cried out, “A thousand years have passed since I’ve seen you, sister.”
Celestia, with a sweetness to her voice, responded, “And I have missed you more every one of those thousand years, truly, you are loved more than you know.”
Luna looked on sheepishly, and stammered “Truly?”
Celestia met her gaze, and repeated, “Truly.”
Now Luna, mere inches from her sister's muzzle, softly repeated, “Truly.”
With a laborious breath, Celestia repeated the word one last time, and met her sister’s mouth with hers. Luna tensed, and shook, but settled deeper into Celestia’s embrace, wrapping her petite wings around her big sister.
As this took place, the 6 ponies wore an expression of utter shock, eyes wide, as if their brains were simply not capable of processing the actions that were unfolding before them, their bodies unable to complete nary even the most basic processes of life as they looked on, locked in the moment. And a long moment it was, standing as if they were frozen solid, watching their ruler truly vulnerable, in an embrace of tongue and body with her kin.
“Oh sister…” Luna intoned, with laborious breath, as she squirmed in Celestia’s wingspan, “I believe we must account for the past thousand years.”
Celestia, having lost some of her regal manners, replied with a smirk “Oh, we shall, for the next thousand years we shall…”, pausing briefly, "account for lost time.”
With this, Celestia ran one of her hooves down Luna’s back, the warm gold of her shoes barely brushing Luna’s spine, sending a shiver of excitement running through her body, and causing her to squirm. With the pair now laying in embrace on the dusty tile floor, Luna’s squirming and inattention allowed her loins to brush her big sister’s leg, just for a second, but that was second enough for her to stop cold. The two gazed at each other, Luna’s timid and genuine gaze meeting Celestia’s confident eyes, entranced, until this pause was broken by Celestia pulling her in with her mighty wings, and laying a forehoof lightly on Luna's chest. With a heaving and broken breath, Luna closed her eyes and settled down. The respite was short however, until Celestia started running her hoof down Luna’s chest, past her navel, and barely skirted her loins. Eliciting a sharp gasp from her little sister, Celestia teased pleasure, coming close, but keeping her hoof away from Luna’s more sensitive areas.
This continued for a short moment until Luna could take no more, and in a nearly silent voice, she stammered “p-please…”
Celestia, putting on regal airs, responded quickly, “You’re going to need to speak up if you want the princess to hear you.”
Luna, thoroughly flushed, let out a squeak, and, not meeting her sister’s gaze, stammered louder “p-p-please.”
Quickly, Celestia retorted “She still can’t hear you.”
Once again, louder, Luna begged her sister. And once again, Celestia wouldn’t give her the satisfaction. “Almost there, but not quite, my little pauper.”
With this, Luna closed her eyes and met her sister’s mouth in a passionate kiss, and as their tongues met, so did Celestia’s hoof reach it’s target.
In that way, they laid in pleasure-filled embrace for what felt like hours, but as they both knew, it was but the start of many such encounters. And, as they laid like lovers, thoroughly exhausted, a terrible realization came over Luna suddenly, and her eyes snapped wide open.
Shooting up in a fright, she met Twilight Sparkle’s shocked gaze, and exclaimed in a panic, “Sister! Were they watching us this entire time? What shall we do?!”
Celestia sat up sleazily, chuckled, and wrapped a wing around her sister, calming her. “There is no need to worry little one, simply observe.”
And with that, Celestia suddenly sprang up, swiveled around, snapped into strict regal pose with a sharp hoof stomp, and roared Luna’s name in full Canterlot voice. Luna, suddenly as terrified of her sister as she was before, looked on in fright. At that moment, a faint flash of light shone from Celestia’s horn, and suddenly the 6 ponies burst to full animation once again.
In unison, they continued as before, “SHE’S YOUR SISTER?!”
And, with a knowing smile, Celestia sweetly said, once again to a shocked Luna, “Will you accept my friendship?”
