Spike found himself in his own room, however, it didn’t feel familiar. Outside the windows, there was nothing. In place of Ponyville and the Equestrian countryside was a black void. He walked from his bed to the door and opened it. The corridor outside of his room was also dark and uninviting.

“Going already? Why don’t you stay with me, Spike?”

The dragon flinched and turned quickly to find Mallory sitting on the edge of his bed. The dark princess was still naked, but her legs were crossed in front of her. She patted a place on the mattress beside her, beckoning him to join her.

He glared at her, beginning to remember what had happened the night before. All of his positive feelings towards her were gone, replaced by resentment and mistrust. “Why are you here?”

Mallory raised an eyebrow. “I… Well, forgive me, Spike, but I thought this place was a source of comfort for you. If you’re not happy here, I could easily remedy that.”

Her words clicked in his mind. The room was an illusion. That’s why it didn’t feel right. It wasn’t really his room.

“Oh. I’m still asleep.” Spike rubbed the back of his head sheepishly, and his eyes turned to the nightstand beside his bed, where the diary should have been. “Twilight put you back inside that book…”

He braced himself to repeat his question, which had gone unanswered. “Why… are you here?”

Mallory frowned, and her eyes fell to the floor beneath her feet. “We share a special bond now, Spike. When our bodies connected, I might have gotten carried away, and something else happened…” She let out a long sigh as her gaze rose to meet his. “I wanted to apologize to you, Spike. If I cannot do that in person, then perhaps this will suffice.”

Spike shook his head. “What? Why? If it’s about what you did to Twilight, you should be apologizing to her, not me.”

The tall mare extended a hand, biting her lower lip in anticipation as she waited for him to take it. Reluctantly, Spike placed his hand in hers, and a second hand clasped over his. “When our bodies were joined through lust, I felt something else for you, Spike, something that frightened me. After your seed filled me with strength, I really was going to hurt you and Princess Twilight in order to escape. Your friend did the right thing by protecting you from me.”

The dragon slowly retracted his hand, pulling it free from her grasp, but he kept his eyes fixed on hers. “What do you mean you were frightened? What were you afraid of?”

Mallory looked deflated, as though saying the words physically pained her. “Can you not tell? I was afraid, because I think… I might have fallen in love with you…”

***

Spike awoke with a start. His forehead beaded with sweat, and his chest rose and fell quickly as he gasped for air. Mallory’s words echoed in his head like the bells ringing above Ponyville’s town hall. He sat upright in his bed and was greeted by a stream of morning light flooding in from the windows. There was no mistake that his surroundings were real.

He fell clumsily from his bed and threw on a set of clean clothes. His nose twitched at the smell of something arousing, breakfast. After the ordeal he suffered at the hands of Mallory, Spike’s groaning stomach reminded him of just how hungry he truly was.

Dressed well enough for the privacy of his own home, he emerged from his room and walked down the corridor as briskly as he dared to avoid straining his sore muscles. Spike neared the kitchen and the smell of food strengthened. Upon arrival, he looked into the kitchen and saw Twilight standing over the stove top, wearing little but her night gown. With one hand gripping a frying pan, she flipped pancakes with a skillful flick of her wrist.

It smelled heavenly.

Spike cleared his throat softly. “Um… Hey, Twilight…” Despite what they had done together, Spike didn’t want to presume their relationship was anything other than normal.

Twilight looked back over her shoulder at him and smiled. “Oh, hey! I was just about to come and see if you were awake.”

She turned the pilot off and stacked the fresh pancake on top of the rest. There was about twenty in total, fluffy and cooked to a golden brown color. Spike took a seat at the island in the center of the kitchen while Twilight brought the pancakes and a pair of clean plates before sitting across from him.

The dragon’s mouth salivated at the sight and smell of it all. “You’ve been busy.”

The princess grinned at him as she pushed the pancakes a little closer. “Dig in, Spike. You can have all you want. I only need a couple anyway.” She had already stacked two onto her plate and begun to chew thoughtfully on a bite dressed lightly in syrup. “After what you did last night, I figured you must be starving.”

Her words cause Spike to recoil as he reached for his breakfast. Part of him wanted to move on from that episode and forget it ever happened, but he knew that was impossible. “Twi, I’m so sorry…”

Twilight reached across the table and placed a gentle hand on top of his as a reassuring smile crept across her face. “Don’t be. That Malicorn Princess might be twisted and evil, but she was right about me. I needed that… No- I wanted it. I consented, Spike. Did you?”

Spike thought about it. Mallory had been coaxing both of them into sex, but the choice was ultimately his. “Yeah…”

Twilight chuckled and leaned across the table, planting a quick kiss on his cheek. “Then everything is alright between us, so don’t worry.”

As her saliva, and syrup, lingered on his cheek, he suddenly remembered his dream. The dragon had been so focused on his stomach that he forgot to bring it up. “Twilight, where’s the diary?”

The princess paused mid-chew and swallowed before reaching under her gown and revealing the little red book. “Don’t worry about that either, Spike. She’s not going anywhere in a hurry.”

Spike shook his head. “I talked to her last night, Twi. She… kind of appeared in my dream. It was weird, but Mallory said she wanted to apologize to us for what she did.”

Twilight raised an eyebrow at him, completely unaware of the parts of his dream that he omitted, the parts where Mallory proclaimed her love for him. She looked back and forth between him and the diary. “How is that possible? She shouldn’t be able to do anything in this state, even a Malicorn as powerful as her.”

There it was again, that word ‘Malicorn’. Spike Mallory had introduced herself as the Malicorn Princess of Lust, and Twilight had called her that too. “What do you mean, Twilight? What do you know about Malicorns?”

The princess set the diary on the surface of the island and shook her head with a huff. “Not much… I had never even heard of them until Celestia made me into an Alicorn. She called them ‘demons of the ancient world’. They’ve been around a lot longer than Alicorns, and they thrive on chaos.”

Spike was noticeably more aware of his proximity to the book. None of what she said sounded good. “Are… they all evil?”

Twilight actually managed a weak laugh. “Well, I didn’t know about the existence of Malicorns until Celestia told me about them, but we’ve been friends with one a lot longer than that. Discord.”

His jaw fell. “Discord is one of them? He’s a… Well, I guess that explains a lot, him thriving on chaos and all…” The longer Spike thought about it, the more it made sense.

Then, his mind sparked with the illumination of an idea. “Twilight, I think we should let her out.”

The princess was clutching the diary tightly in an instant. “No. That’s not going to happen. This book is going back to Canterlot where it can be properly locked away.”

“Twilight, please Just hear me out.” Spike reached for the diary only for her to move it further from his reach. “Mallory told me she wants to make amends. You gave Discord a second chance. Why shouldn’t Mallory have one?”

Twilight frowned, and her gaze fell to her plate. “To be honest, I was against setting Discord free too… but you’re right.” She crumbled. Placing the diary back onto the table, she carefully pushed it towards Spike. “I don’t trust her, but I trust you.”

He placed his hands on the cover of the book. It seemed to purr at his touch. “I’ll be careful with her, Twi. I promise.”

A sly, knowing grin crossed her lips. “That’s not what I’m worried about. It’s her being careful with you that concerns me. We’ve both seen firsthand what she’s capable of in bed.”

Spike’s cheeks turned red. He could feel his entire face burning hot. “That’s not what I…” He quietly wondered if Twilight suspected his alterier motives. He had to know for sure if Mallory was actually telling the truth about her feelings for him. “Nevermind… Let’s Just finish our breakfast…”

***

Spike and Twilight ate in silence until all twenty of the pancakes were gone. She ended up eating one extra, and the dragon finished the rest like a glutton. Afterwards, he retreated to his room with Twilight hot on his heels and the diary in his hands. Naturally, she wanted to watch him set Mallory loose and make sure he didn’t get hurt.

Together, they slipped into his room, and he closed the door behind them. “Alright, Spike… Go ahead.”

It wasn’t until he placed the diary on his bed that he realized he didn’t actually know how to summon Mallory. He’d done it before, but it was entirely by accident.

He tried to picture the dark princess in his mind. Standing before him, she would tower above him like a monolith. Four great arms would protrude from her shoulders, each stretching towards him in an embrace. He saw her naked body, sleek and curvy with wide hips and large, plump breasts, and finally, he saw her glowing red eyes and the crown of antlers on top of her head.

With his eyes closed, focusing on her, he let out a long breath, and on the edge of his breath followed her name. “Mallory…”

After a moment of silence, he glanced at the diary. Unsurprisingly, the inanimate object hadn’t moved on its own.

Spike groaned and fell onto the bed in a frustrated heap. He took up the diary in his hand and began to flip through the blank pages. “Hm… This is just like the story of my love life…”

He chuckled at his own, sad joke, but that came to a screeching halt when he flipped to a page bearing three words.

Lust is Key

Spike flipped forwards and backwards. He’d been through the pages of the diary at least twice and he’d never seen a single word until now. “Lust is Key? Lust is the key?”

He thought back to the night before. Just before Mallory appeared in his room, he was drifting off to sleep, but at the same time, he was horny. He had been thinking about his friends, all of the lovely mares in his life, and how much he wanted to have sex with them. Then, the diary’s hint clicked.

“Lust is the key…”

Spike turned to face Twilight. His heart pounded against his chest as his body moved before his mind could react. Then, he took her face in his hands and kissed her on the mouth.

Twilight stumbled backwards as they made out, pulling him with her until he pressed her into the wall. Between the moments their lips made contact, she gasped for air. “Spike! What are you-“

His hands slipped under her night gown. Only her tender body was underneath. Spike moved his fingers up Twilight’s stomach and grabbed bare breasts. “Let’s do it again, Twi… I want to fuck you right now. It’s the only way to bring Mallory back.”

The princess was breathing heavily. He could feel her heart rushing as he squeezed her boobs. “Okay, Spike… Let’s do it, then.”

To Spike’s surprise, she reached for his pants first and unbuttoned them with her nimble fingers. If he didn’t know any better, he would have thought she was some kind of sexual prodigy.

His pants fell to his ankles, and Twilight took his cock in her hand. Now, she was on the offensive. “Get to the bed… I’ll take care of the rest.”

The two of them shuffled across the floor, his arms wrapped around her back as they traded saliva back and forth. Along the way, Spike managed to kick his feet clear of his fallen pants just before Twilight shoved him onto his bed. Standing at the end of the bed, the purple princess took a moment to strip naked, smiling the entire time as though she were pleased to have him watch her.

On his back, held up only slightly by his arms, Spike felt vulnerable as Twilight crawled on top of him. He could feel her hot breath against his neck. Then, her fingers curled tightly around the shaft of his cock. “I’ll make you feel good, Spike… That’s the way we free Mallory, right?”

To be honest, Spike was only guessing. It was his best guess, but that’s all it was. Still, he was on the verge of having sex with Twilight, so he nodded his head. “That’s what the book said. Lust is the key…”

Twilight beamed at him. “Well… I’m dripping wet, and you’re hard as stone… I’d say there’s a lot of lust between us.”

She began to stroke his cock, running her closed fist up and down the thick shaft. Spike’s heart beat faster in his chest. “You… You’re really enjoying this, aren’t you?”

He winced as Twilight squeezed his knot hard and shot him a stern look. “It’s rude to make fun of the mare jerking you off, Spike.”

The dragon‘s face turned red. “Sorry… I didn’t mean-“

Then, a sly grin crept along her lips, and she burst out laughing. “I’m only messing with you! You’re so serious.” Her smile changed, softening and growing more sincere. “You’re also kind, and gentle, and loving… I asked myself over and over again why I agreed to have sex with you last night, and I’ve just answered my own question.”

Stroking him faster than before, she leaned in close and kissed him on the lips.

Spike’s heart beat faster, and he closed his eyes as the kiss deepened. He focused on only the feelings of her mouth, her lips brushing against his, and her tongue sliding tenderly past his. Then, he heard her moan, the sounds muffled by their kiss, and he opened his eyes.

A pair of large, ash-colored arms circled around Twilight’s torso, their hands clutching onto her breasts. Then came a sultry voice from behind her. “There’s power in desire. Can you feel it, Spike? When you hold the key to someone’s desire, you hold a special kind of power over their heart, for better or worse…”

He looked up and saw her looming over them, the dark princess. “Mallory…”

The tall mare smiled at him, her eyes flashing red. “I knew you could do it, Spike. With the help of your friend, of course…”

Twilight scowled at the Malicorn and slapped at her hands. “Let go of me… If you don’t mind, Spike and I were in the middle of something.”

Mallory’s eyes widened as she recoiled. She looked surprised by Twilight’s tenacity. “I… Oh…” Her gaze shifted back and forth between Spike and Twilight. “Very well…”

She retreated from the bed, and Spike could see that she was as naked as she was the last time he saw her. Mallory eased herself into a tall chair opposite to the bed and crossed one leg over the other.

“I shall just observe then… for now.”

Spike felt a dangerous edge to the tone of her voice and her body looked tense. He wondered if she might become a threat at any second, but she made no moves after sitting down. Instead, she watched them, just as she said she would.

Twilight must not have shared his worries, because she turned her back to Mallory and positioned herself over his groin as her lips curled into a smile. “Now, where we’re we?”
