I must make it up to them
It had been 2 weeks since the cruise ship got destroyed and all the world was saved thanks to Sunset Shimmer, Sci Twi and Rainbow Dash. Everyone went home and tried to forget about the events that happened but one certain girl with rainbow hair couldn't relax. That evening Rainbow Dash was in her bed feeling quite sad and regretful. She felt like what happened at Spring Break was all her fault, she thought about how she got Pinkie Pie banned from the buffet, how she frightened all the animals at the shelter in front of Fluttershy and even felt like she made Sci Twi's efforts to plan the trip mean nothing since she ruined it for everyone. This made her feel terrible in fact she hadn't answered any of her friends texts and calls for the past week because of how sad she was feeling, not even Tank's comforting hugs were able to cheer her up.
"I thank you for trying Tank" said Rainbow Dash in a depressed but polite manner "but it's no good, I'm not sure if my friends will forgive me, I would reply but they’re probably still upset with me"
Rainbow Dash started to think about how she can make things right with her friends while tears were falling down her face, then she had an idea "I think I know how I can make things right with my friends" Rainbow dash wiped away her tears and went to sleep, she decided to put her idea into action the next day.
When Rainbow Dash woke up, she went shopping at the mall, she had been looking for ingredients to make a triple Choco-Berry Blasted Butter Biscuit Bundt Cake that Pinkie Pie was originally going to have at the cruise buffet. She picked up some chocolates of milk and dark, butter, biscuits, berry butter and flour.
"Hi Rainbow Dash" said a high pitched voice from the ceiling, Pinkie Pie was behind her making Rainbow Dash jump. Luckily she didn't drop a single grocery.
"Pinkie Pie? What are you doing here and why were you hanging on the ceiling?" asked Rainbow Dash in surprised
"Following you silly, you weren't answering any of my texts" Pinkie Pie replied, "I was getting some veggies so Maud can make soup but then I stopped to talk to you to see what was the matter with you"
"nothing" Rainbow Dash said lying through her teeth "I'm just doing some grocery shopping"
"Are you doing any cooking by the looks of what's in your trolley" Pinkie asked curiously looking at the trolley
'Yup, what I'll make is quite delicious I hope. I never cooked it before" Rainbow Dash picked up her phone to look up the recipe for the cake, she almost had everything she needed to make it.
"Is that a recipe for a Triple Choco-Berry Blasted Butter Biscuit Bundt Cake?" Pinkie asked in her usual excitement voice.
"Maybe it is, maybe it isn't" replied Rainbow Dash "Now I must go now, I've got some cooking to do" and she ran off with the ingredients in her super speed (Don't worried she paid for them). This made Pinkie Pie suspicious.
Back at Rainbow Dash's house, she started to stir her ingredients into a cake, it was looking delicious but it smelt funny due to never cooking before and not following the recipe. She poured the batter into a pan and put it in the oven. She set a timer to 45 minutes to remind her when to take the cake out of the oven.
"Now I need to find some good animals from the shelter to show Fluttershy at the party" Rainbow Dash said, she felt like she was on a roll to make things right with her friends, with her super speed she left the house. (Don't worry it's locked)
When Rainbow Dash arrived at the shelter with a fake moustache she had a hard time choosing which animals to pick from. She saw Fluttershy passing through so to keep the party a secret she hid underneath a table where Fluttershy didn’t see her.
When Fluttershy was out of her site she went back to choose an animal for the party. The decision she made was to bring in all of them.
“Would you like a truck sir” asked Fluttershy, she didn’t recognise Rainbow Dash through the moustache. “Sure, How much for these pets” asked Rainbow Dash in a deep disguised voice “nothing, it’s free” replied Fluttershy. Trying to hide her excitement and her identity, Rainbow Dash sped off while Fluttershy prepped the creatures to be sent to Rainbow Dash’s house leaving Fluttershy confused.
While Rainbow Dash waited for the animals to be shipped to her house, she went to a party store to pick up some decorations for the party. She found streamers, balloons, a jukebox and some letter shaped balloons in letters s, o, two r’s, a y, I, an apostrophe, and an m. After paying for the decorations she went back home to set up her apology party.
Suddenly she saw a puff of smoke from out the window. Rainbow Dash was confused at first but then she remembered she had a cake in the oven. She sped through the door, went to the kitchen to turn off the oven and took the cake out. Luckily the cake wasn’t too burnt, Rainbow Dash sighed in relief, she didn’t want to mess up her own party.
At last the party was finished and ready to get started, the decorations looked beautiful, the animals were set up as a petting zoo and the cake was looking a bit messy. Rainbow Dash was so proud of herself she went to her phone to text her friends to come to her house at 6:00pm.
When the time was right all her friends arrived looking genuinely worried about Rainbow Dash due to her not answering their texts or calls the last 2 weeks. They thought Rainbow Dash might give an explanation once she let them in. Sunset Shimmer was the first to ring the doorbell. The door opened revealing Rainbow Dash looking quite happy yet sad as well. She hoped that the girls would like her party and forgive her for what she did at the cruise trip.
“Before we come in” said Sci Twi with concern, “I’d like to ask, why haven’t you been answering our texts and calls? We were starting to worry about you and Pinkie was saying something about some baking you were doing”
“That’s why I’ve gathered you all here, come inside” and that is what the girls did. The room was quite dark and Rainbow Dash’s friends were quite curious about what was going on. Fluttershy was feeling quite scared about what was going on until Rainbow Dash turned on the lights revealing the beautiful party. Her friends were surprised. “Wow,” said Pinkie Pie, “you started a party just for us?”
“That’s right Pinkie” replied Rainbow Dash “it’s my way of saying I’m sorry girls for ruining our spring break holiday” she presented the cake she cooked to be cut into slices “I’m sorry Pinkie for getting you banned from the buffet”
Rainbow Dash revealed a few animals in a crate so Fluttershy can pet them “Fluttershy, I’m sorry for scaring the animals at the petting zoo when you were having fun there” she said in regret, Rainbow Dash then turned towards Applejack
“Applejack, I got something for you” Rainbow Dash said as she got a box to reveal a bottle of sea sick pills.
“Thanks very much Rainbow Dash, now I won’t get sick off the side of the boat again” Applejack said in delight. “I’m Sorry I made you sick off the side of the boat as you said” Rainbow Dash replied in embarrassment.
Rainbow Dash then turned to the rest of her friends “Twilight, I’m sorry I ruined the trip for everyone after all the effort you went to, to plan this trip. I shouldn’t have been so caught up in thinking evil forces would come and cause calamity and I shouldn’t have been so distracted by the possibility of using our powers to save the day" "Above all I need to stop looking for trouble especially when there isn't any, I just get so carried away, sometimes too carried away in fact and I know that’s not cool for everyone"
"I'm also sorry for not answering your texts, I was just still upset with myself for what I did and I wasn't ready to forgive myself" The girls listened carefully they were understanding Rainbow's situation. "I started this party to make it up to all of you cause you're all really good friends and I didn't want to lose you because of what I’ve done"
"Do you girls, forgive me?" Rainbow Dash said as her head fell down in shame and she was about to tear up. Fluttershy went behind her and starting patting her shoulder in empathy "It's alright Rainbow Dash I forgive you"
"We'll always be the bestest of friends no matter what Rainbow" said Pinkie happily as she proceeded to give Rainbow Dash a hug.
One by one, the rest of the girls joined in on Pinkie's hug turning the hug into group one. Rainbow Dash's friends smiled. Once the hug was finished they all smiled at Rainbow Dash.
“We love your excitement, Rainbow Dash” said Rarity “it’s who you are”
"Even though you drive me crazy sometimes Rainbow, you'll always be my friend" said Applejack
"You're forgiven, besides what’s friendship without a bit of calamity" added Sci Twi
"We're still friends" said Sunset Shimmer "no matter what happens, the magic of friendship will always grow"
Rainbow Dash smiled, she was glad that her friends forgave her and she was happy that they weren't mad at her anymore for the trouble she caused. It looked like her party was a success and the team’s friendship was stronger because of it.
