Princess, Fusion, and Love: The Passionate Conversations
Prologue of the Conversation
"Good afternoon, your highness" greeted the humanoid figure in the dark magenta with square afro & marigold visor, as she smiled at the princess of Crystal Empire & her family
“You can just call me Cadance, Garnet '' the Princess of Love smiled to the fusion gently “You’re welcomed here as our guests, especially considering how you & your friends helped us” she replied toward the magenta Gem with a gentle smile.
In the throne hall were only Garnet, Cadance, and some guards. However, the rest of the palace was busy with the ponies & other creatures preparing for the great annual afternoon tea, for it was the anniversary of how Equestria & allies defeated the 'Expanded' Legions of Doom.
“Princess Cadance” Sandbar approached the hall, coming in with the list of food, drink, and other components of the party remaining unprepared. “What is the fifth flavor of the cake we should go for?”
“Sandbar, has Neapolitan ice cream cake been included yet?” Garnet asked the lime-coated stallion, as she moved her visor a bit “I feel like one of the guests I know will join the tea, and he likes that flavor” she smiled a bit before turning back to continue her conversation with Cadance.
“Okay?” Sandbar replied, confused about Garnet’s prediction "I will ask the chef if we can make one on time" he added just before he trotted out of the hall.
BAM!!!
The toddler Alicorn rushed into the hall, but also crashed heavily on Major Sandbar right before he shut the gate.
"Ouch!-" Sandbar got up, just to see Flurry was sobbing. She looked at him with watering eyes, the muzzle shook like she would scream in any few seconds from that moment.
Garnet walked to Flurry slowly, lifting her up by her solidified light-made arms "Are you Flurry Heart?" she asked the foal with a gentle smile.
Flurry looked at the unknown figure she just met. However, she also saw her mother looking behind with a smile & nod of encouragement.
"Y-yes?" she answered quietly, while Garnet patted her mane above the horn softly.
"Flurry, your mane makes me think of someone I love," the motherly Gem admired while turned her face down to Flurry "someone I took care of, and now, he is now a young lad"
"Who is he?" Flurry was less scared, replaced by curiosity & comfort. Even the creature holding her did not resemble any creature she knew, she felt the warmness from the figure's body. The warmth mentioned was both physical, and mental.
"Well," Garnet took a light breath. "He is someone with a heart of gold, yet, has much more to learn" she smiled to the figure she held in her arms "He may join the tea tomorrow."
Garnet put Flurry down to the ground slowly, just before she noticed the reason she cried. It was her kite that was hit so hard that it got a large hole. She turned back to the little filly, rubbing her own chin a bit.
"I got an idea," she suggested to Flurry Heart "I know one of my friends who could transform herself into whatever she wants to play with."
Garnet knows there are Changelings in Equestria, but Amethyst is more willing to be a toy & have a fun personality that Flurry may like.
"Can I play with her?" asked Flurry excitedly, forgetting her sadness.
"Of course-" Garnet answered softly "You could. She would be happy to play with her"
"Yay!" Flurry Heart flew around in joy, as Garnet nodded to Cadance with a little smirk.
Cadance flew to her daughter, hugging her tightly as soon as she caught her "Sweetie, would you mind helping your dad on preparing balloons for tomorrow?" she requested
"Okay! Mommy! I will make millions of them!" Flurry accepted it eagerly, flying away swiftly by the gate.
"Just ten thousand would be enough!" Cadance shouted from behind, turned back to Garnet "She could really make it in a day, by her magic" she chuckled, handing the Gem lady eight invitation letters.
Garnet chuckled a bit with a little grin, reading each of them "Steven Universe, Connie Maheswaran, Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, Peridot, Lapis Lazuli, and Bismuth..." she nodded as she put the letters into the bubble, making it sent to the crystal temple "I am pretty sure all of us could come tomorrow"
"Remember, it is an Afternoon Tea, but you can join us since noon" Cadance noted with a smile, just before Garnet walked to the dimension mirror built later just for the Crystal Gems.
"Okay! See you at noon then!" Garnet answered, turned back a bit, before hopping into another side of the mirror.
Crystal Palace's Ballroom, 11:30 of the Next Day
The ponies & creatures from several realms entered the ballroom, as they removed their scarfs & wool hats to fit in the warmer atmosphere of the hall. The soft, classical music played softly just to make an atmosphere, while the honorable guests from different realms of Equus took their seats on their reserved tables.
Cadance's seats were not only just for her husband; Shining Armor, and Flurry Heart, but also Twilight, Celestia, and...the Gem whose aura could be sensed by her strong love; Garnet.
Cadance & Garnet met each other by Warp Pad's malfunction, as it sent Garnet, along with the rest of Crystal Gems, to the magical land of Equestria. Both of the Equestrian Folks & the Crystal Gems go along pretty well. Not only has the new companionship been founded, but also that they managed to overcome the common villains together. Even though the Crystal Gems had returned to their home dimension, they still feel bonded with Equestria, like how many creatures of Equestria feel about them.
Despite being Princess of Love that can sense all the loves of every being she knows, Garnet is different; the strong bond is formed in herself, yet, it is not narcissistic, but the caring & sacrificing love that dwelled in her.
Cadance knew Gems don't need to eat or drink, but most of them had assured her they will give Equestrian treats & tea a try. So, she prepared a variety of great tea from all corners of Equestria, and beyond.
She was absent-minded, as she tried to figure out about Garnet's 'love on self' before she asked her for the answer.
"Excuse me, are you Princess Celestia?" The high-pitched noise sounded a bit below Cadance's seat. The Green Gem with triangular gemstone asked her while holding the small tape audio recorder in one of her hands.
"Sorry, she hasn't come here yet" Cadance popped out of her thought, answered Peridot immediately. "My name is Cadance. Anyway, you must be Peridot, right?" she asked in return.
"Yes! It's me!" she smiled widely, before she looked around for her seat "By the way, which kind of tea would you suggest me to try?"
Shining Armor returned from the buffet table with a plateful of canape & small cakes "Hello! How about Crystal Berries-blend Black Tea?" he put the plate down in the middle to the roundtable "Anyway, your seat would be three tables away, on the left"
"Okay!" Peridot rushed toward the drink section, a few seconds after the band finished the first part of the symphony.
Cadance sighed a bit with the light beam on the muzzle, as she continued her prediction of what makes Garnet's love being so unique from what she knew.
"What are you thinking about? Cadance" Shining asked his wife, noticing that she hadn't taken any single piece of snack on the plate yet "Something with our old days? Or Flurry's first word?" he joked.
"Not really, Shining Armor" she answered, toning her smile down "I sensed that Garnet has the...outstanding way on her self-love, like, she has two personalities inside herself or something" she informed her husband.
Shining nodded before he came up with his guess "Maybe she is made of..."
"Good afternoon. Cadance" the British-accent voice greeted the royal family of the Crystal Empire "Steven got you a gift" she put a present box on the table, in front of Shining Armor.
"You know Steven Magnet already? That was pretty quick!" Shining Armor proclaimed in a joyous tone "How did you meet him?"
"Well, my...adopted child's name is also Steven" she answered simply "Anyway, his full name is Steven Universe"
"Okay, my bad" Shining blushed by his embarrassing mistake "Anyway, here is your seat" he offered Garnet while his face was still red
Garnet took a seat that was just pushed by magic, smiling in a comforting tone "No worry, we all make mistakes" she noted
"Anyway, Garnet, would yo-"
"Aunt Garnet" Flurry called the new guest immediately, "Mommy said...your love..." she paused, trying to come up with the words.
"Flurry, That is not how you ask an acquaintance a question" Shining stopped Flurry "We're sorry, our daughter didn't mean to..." he apologized to the new guest.
"It is okay," Garnet raised her hand a bit, getting up. "It does not hurt that she asked me that," she replied, before her body glowed, shifted, & separated into two smaller humanoid figures.
"As you can see, Princess Cadance..." said the left figure, while the light was turned down, revealing the crimson figure with headband and rectangular hair.
"...When two of us fuse, we form Garnet" the blue figure finished the red Gem's sentence. She is in a dress & has silky light blue hair covering her eyes.
Cadance, Shining Armor, and Flurry Heart looked at the two figures that were Garnet in surprise, just before Twilight trotted into the hall.
"Sorry for being late. Pinkie asked me about what is Neapolitan.." she explained, just before she notices two new figures in front of her "Cadance, are they invited?"
"Let us explain!" Ruby spoke out firmly "Princess Twilight, Sapphire & I are the ones who made Garnet"
"You mean, parents?" Twilight asked with a suspicious look, yet, tried to be friendly "I don't remember Gems have parents"
"Twilight, I don't think they mean parents" Shining commented "Garnet was glowing, shifting, and then these two appear out of her form"
"She is our fusion" Sapphire calmly explained "Sufficient amount of affection between Gems make them able to fuse"
"I see," Cadance replied with a relief "so, your love is the bond...inside Garnet, right?"
"She is made of our love, Princess" Sapphire added before turned to Ruby "I think we should fuse now"
"Okay, Sapphire!" she grabbed Sapphire's arm, glowing & reformed into Garnet again.
Garnet took her seat once more, just before the butler approached them with eight cups of tea "Excuse me, your highness, where are those two new guests?"
"They turned into me again" Garnet bluntly explained, taking one of them "Thanks for your kindness anyway"
Twilight shook her head in confusion, looking at the figure that was two smaller Gems "Sorry for the misunderstanding, but, if you are no bothered," she apologized "we may talk about Gems' functions & cultures more later"
Garnet put her cup of peppermint & lemon zest tea on the plate after she took a few sips out of it "Sure, I am glad to help you on that" she accepted.
"Anyway, where are the others?" asked Shining Armor, while Twilight noted new information about Gems she recently learned in the diary, and Cadance cooled Flurry's tea with her magic.
"One of them has come," she smirked, just before the heavy wind blew from the Neighponese teppanyaki section. Something landed heavily, yet, not damaging anything much.
It was the stubby female dragon that flew down in front of them "Hello, Princess Cadance" the purple female dragon with gemstone on her chest greeted "Amethyst, at your service" she bowed a bit in a fancy manner, putting her plate of grilled mixed vegetables & stir-fried hay in miso on the table.
"Sorry for my friends' manners, your highness!" the surprised voice screamed from the gate, along with the 'gentle' rushing sound. "Anyway, I am Pearl, and this gem is Amethyst" she tried to explain the situation to the Equestrian hosts.
Amethyst shifted back to her default, humanoid form "Here you go, Pearl" she teased, trying to use chopsticks on the vegetables on the plate.
"Pearl! I know you will make it!" Twilight paused her while noting things in the diary, gleaming to see one of her most favorite Gems she got along well with.
"Well, Amethyst & I looked for a gift for Flurry" Pearl explained why they came after "Anyway, Amethy-"
Amethyst already shifted into a pile of floating balloons with a face on one of the "Flurry Heart! I am a balloon!"
Cadance smiled happily, seeing Flurry was impressed by her new friend "Why don't you two go and play outside?" she offered "Anyway, please come back before 1:30 PM"
Flurry nodded as she grabbed the rope of Amethyst's balloon form
"Careful! Du-!"
Flurry teleported to somewhere else, leaving Pearl in shock.
"She knows where she goes, and it is not so far & dangerous" Cadance confirmed the safety to Pearl, as Garnet patted her shoulder a bit
"They will be back" Garnet added with no worry "Maybe even on an exact 1:00PM, or when she wants her toys"
"If you say so" Pearl sighed a bit, still confused "maybe I need some fresh air" she walked out with her hand on the forehead above her gemstone.
"She gonna be okay, Cadance" Garnet assured before turned to Twilight "Anyway, Twilight. My future vision told me you may want to check the ice cream cake that might melt before it was even served"
Twilight's eyes widened in surprise "Ice cream?!" she asked with a panicking tone "I thought you said just Neapolitan Cake! I gotta do something real quick!" she flew toward the kitchen as soon as she noticed what to do.
"Using cookie crumble will help, I suggest!" she shouted from behind, as she sighed a bit "Twilight is always Twilight-ly"
Shining Armor looked around the table, that having only him, Cadance, and Garnet remained "I guess I will go and get some small pieces of cake for you two?" he asked nervously
"You may want to help your little sister" Garnet simply suggested, pushing Amethyst's unfinished teppanyaki away to the right side of her "Nothing serious, but, I'd suggest you that"
"Okay!" Shining Armor firmly replied, trotted to the route Twilight just used.
"So, only two of us now?" Cadance chuckled nervously, as Garnet looked at Cadance for seconds, before offering her table partner a piece of chewing gum.
"So...wanna talk about something with love?" Garnet suggested the topic
"Sure!" Cadance approved "Where should we start?"
"How about the one between you & Shining Armor, and another one between Ruby & Sapphire?" Garnet offered a topic, as Cadance nodded.
And that's how Princess of Love & Fusion of Love began their first lovely conversation.
