two major gods (moon and Zefiroth (the one you know as Discord, but Discord is a degeneration of the true creator god of the planet), everything has its explanation of why it exists and why it is, but they will have to wait for future stories to understand it. And two minor goddesses, Celestia and myself, Twilight.
There are so many details to tell, so many details that should be clarified but telling them would divert attention from the little story I want to tell you, so I am going to hold back and tell you those details later.
Once the planet was created, as well as the sun and the moon that surround it, once life was created in it, Celestia and I descended from our immaterial body, incarnating on the planet with our physical forms of alicorn to create the first pony village.
As soon as we took material form, Zefiroth materialized the first adult land ponies of the town and moon attached collected souls to them, there were not many, there would have been about 20 ponies and not many more, but we had all the illusion of creating, forming and developing the first town in Zefiro and thus achieve life on this new planet.
It was summer time and with great enthusiasm we began to work on the first houses, narrow paths were formed by the coming and going of ponies working.
I remember seeing Celestia on top of a small hill watching as we worked while I organized the tasks for the ponies.
The first day quickly past, the afternoon fell and at dusk we went to rest, it would not be necessary to say that I went to rest with my beloved pony Celestia, but the night was not long ,since the fatigue of the day made the dream fall quickly and in the same way we fall asleep.
At dawn the next day a tragedy occurred as we did not wake up again, all our physical bodies lay inert on the ground and our spirits had separated from them, both the ponies and Celestia and I had died.
Zefiroth disintegrated the old bodies and we tried again, once again we reincarnated and created the ponies and once again we died at dawn. This happened over and over again, every night and every dawn we died again and we did not know why.
With the passing of the days the houses of the town were being built, the roads were forming but our bodies could not stay alive when dawn came.
I remember that we had small stone houses with thatched roofs, the constructions were precarious, we had doors but there were still no glass in the windows, small paths crossed the town and the terrain was not flat cause the town was located at the foot of the mountains (to protect ponies from dragons in the future)
One day, a traveling soul ,a historian who passed by saw our new planet in formation and was tempted to descend from the stars to witness such a historical event that could rarely be seen. he talk to Celestia and myself and ask us if she could stay to watch the story that took place there.
We would have liked to have a historian present at the time of forming our planet, it would be a pride for us, but Celestia and I told him that he could not, and we told him the problem we had. He smiled and told us ...

Thanks to this for the first time, and with great joy we did not die with the arrival of the next dawn and for the first time we had our hopes renewed in being able to fulfill our dream of forming the towns on the planet.
The historian did not stay but announced his departure since he had to be present in other places out of obligation, and commented that he left us the crystals as a loan.
Thanks to this, the town advanced rapidly, the houses were small made of stone and thatched roofs, we put stones on the roads, the joy grew, the ponies formed pairs and even the great and happy moment when we had our first births arrived natural on the planet, the first fillies! ..
happy and busy years passed, the first fillies had grown up and the village became a beautiful village. the joy overflowed even with the first school in the town Celestia and I felt joy and great pride for it.
But one day another visitor arrived, it was not the historian, but his son, he commented that his father had died and therefore came in search of his inheritance (the crystals) ;Although we ask him not to take them He was not like his father, he said that the crystals were extremely valuable and that they belonged to him. We couldn't do anything about this, it was his right.
You may think that we could have denied ourselves, but you are unaware of the spiritual laws that I know, so denying us was not a valid or possible option. And just as the visitor arrived, so quickly he also left with our crystals and life expectancies.
Everyone stopped working, the fillies stopped playing, sadness invaded the village, because everyone knew what that meant, it meant that we would all die before the next dawn. but this time it was worse because there were children, families, loves, feelings involved. so each one went with their family or special pony to be able to spend their last moments together before dying.
I remember it well, I was walking through the streets when dusk was approaching and I saw through the windows of the houses, even without glass, how the families cried hugging each other ... they broke my heart.
I also returned to my house, I lived with Celestia in a common stone house on the edge of town, I had a room and a living room with a thatched roof. When I got there and opened the door, she was in the living room, always beautiful, waiting for me to hug me, to which I threw myself into her arms to cry once more as always. She took my face and dried my tears, to give me a tender and long kiss. Then he told me, let's not make this sad, spend this evening with me, I love you and I am with you. She surrounded me with her wing and together supporting each other our heads we saw the sunset through the window from our living room, and although we knew we would die I can tell you that dying next to the alicorn you love, feeling the heat of her , sweetens all the bitterness of the world that you could suffer or have. Sadness flooded the whole town, and our house was no exception.
I remember when we went to sleep knowing that we would die. I rested my head on the chest of Celestia lying down and she surrounded me with her wing, somehow she knows how to better face these situations and she gives me support.
I fell asleep on her chest, after all who wouldn't fall asleep after crying, listening to the heartbeat of the pony you love and her hugging you and lulling you with her wing.
And so we fell asleep together accepting our death once more.
But something strange happened ... something very strange ... something special ...
I opened my eyes again, the sun was dawning. For a second I did not remember what was happening .. But it happened. We had woken up the next day without dying!
Surprised we quickly went outside to see what was happening. Many ponies had awakened and only a few had died.
The town was in an uproar. Nobody didn't even understand what was happening, we didn't know why we were still alive. The whole town was shocked. There was a spark, a hope of life. So i quickly organize several search and investigation groups, looking for what could be the cause of this strange event. Time ran against us and we only had one day before the fall of a new night, where we could die and be reducing our town.
I tried hard, but I didn't find the reason, my search had been based on love and feelings, but there were ponies who loved each other who had also died.
It was a little past noon when a town pony found the answer, and it was that right in the middle of our shoulder blades, between our fur had grown a tiny crystal of the same crystal and color as the ones we had before in the town and Note that just by touching it, it detached and fell, so the dead ponies were those who lost it by taking a bath the day before.

That night no one slept in their houses, we put the cristal in the center of the town's central square and all the ponies slept curled up around the cristal, even though it was cold in the open outside our houses.
Great was the joy when when the next day arrived, we were all still alive and no one had died, and that was how we spent several days with cold, all sleeping in the central square next to the cristal. I ordered each pony to be careful when bathing and to give me their harvested crystal every week so we could add it to the central crystal. This became a ritual, little by little the crystal in the central square grew and as a symbol of what it meant (hope to be able to live and love) when I added and melted the crystals I was giving it a heart shape, and when the crystal It was big enough even with a size larger than we needed, each pony was able to return home to live with their families.
The ritual of adding the crystals was transformed into a party, at first weekly, then monthly, then annually ... where each pony gathered their crystal before taking a bath or before losing it and then taking it to the crystal party. We created an altar around the heart at first made of stone and then covered with this cristal, then the square itself was upholstered, and it even came to form where the central square was, and a castle of stone with 4 pillars which was also covered with cristal, where at its very base it would have the crystal heart as its center.
Thus was created (The Crystal Town), a town that became a city (The Crystal City), a city that was an empire, and was called the Crystal Empire. were so much crystal in the town, taht the energy that it emitted,destabilizes the atomic structure of all the ponies or living beings that inhabit the place, makes them look as if they were semi-translucent crystal beings, this is a strange phenomenon because thanks to this the crystal ponies inhabit an alternate and subtler space time to the one created in the rest of the planet.
This is the great story, This is how the crystal heart was formed ... the crystal heart represents the hope of living, the hope of being able to love someone, the hope of being able to have children, The hope of existing and not dying. My heart beats strong when I remember the reason for its meaning and remember its shape, that is why it is so special to see it ... I wish you could see it. The crystal heart is no longer necessary, when the amount of crystal increased moon and Zefiroth were in charge of hiding large crystals of this type throughout the planet (to protect us). there is so much crystal in Equestria and distributed and hidden all over the planet that the crystal heart is no longer needed, but its symbolism is gigantic. It constitute the hope of all, the hope of living, the hope of loving and being loved.
And this is why every year a festival around the crystal heart is celebrated in The Crystal Empire, and that is why every year the ponies in front of the crystal heart extend one leg to the front and rest their heads on the ground saying each one in their minds what they are grateful for. They are grateful for their lives, the ponies they love, the peace and joy they possess.
This is why the crystal heart is the symbol of joy, hope, love, peace and life for both the pony people and all the inhabitants of Zefiro.
