Chapters OBJECTION!!!!! Spike's Sacrifice was completely Unnecessary
Prologue: The Element of Justice returns
Its been three weeks since that fateful day. The day that Spike The Dragon gave his life to save his lovers and the world from being destroyed by the evil trio, known as The Legion of Doom or "L.O.D." for short.
His death was brought upon by tricking the three into firing magic blasts at him as he would then use The Bewitching Bell; that he was able to steal from them, to absorb the incoming attacks, which in turn cause damage to the bell, cracking it as it was being overloaded with too much magic and would surely explode if it takes in more.
Realizing this Spike use this opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Destroying the bell and defeating the L.O.D. There was only one problem, Spike would not survive the blast.
Spike knew exactly what he was doing and knew that he wasn't going to survive the impending blast, but that didn't matter to him at all. All that mattered was protecting his love ones and making sure they were safe. In the end his plan succeeded. The bell was destroyed and all the stolen magic returned to their owners, The L.O.D. laid unconscious and defeated, the power boost that each gotten from the bell left them when it was destroyed. Once again Equestria was saved but at a very high price. As he predicted, Spike did not survive the detonation of the bell as he still holding it as he divebomb straight at the evil trio, just to get close enough to them as they fired one last combined attack at the young drake.
Spike didn't die instantly which gave him time to say goodbye to six out of twelve of his lovers and asked them to tell the other five that he said goodbye and that he loves them. He also had one final wish before passing on to the afterlife. He asked that his harem and friends to not be angry at Discord for this for he never intended this to happen and that's exactly what they did. "WTF"
A few days after Spike's funeral all those close to him met with the deeply depress, guilt ridden, Draconequus and fulfilled Spikes final wish to forgive Discord. Not just because Spike asked them to but because they know deep down that Discord was just trying to help them but things went wrong beyond his control. He didn't know that trio had the bell and was planning on betraying him and he did everything he could to make up for his mistakes but sadly things didn't go so well in the end.
Either way everyone forgave Discord and didn't blame him for Spike's death not even the drake himself and together the large group of friends will work together to move on and they will see to it that Spike's murderers "Chrysalis and Tirek" are tried and punish for their crimes. The trial is in a few days and the two villains are facing the death penalty where they'll be found guilty for trying to take over Equestria and murder of the first degree.
In conclusion Spike lost his life in a noble sacrifice to save his lovers, friends, and the world, The L.O.D. were defeated and arrested, Thanks to the efforts of an old friend of hers a young colt named "Cobalt Blitz" told the princesses the story about Cozy glow past and how she became a psychotic child thanks to the "unforgivable" act of Tirek taking advantage of mentally ill child and manipulating her to help with his plans for revenge thus earning him deep hatred from everyone else. "......seriously"
Because of all that's happened, Cozy Glow mind completely broke and she became completely insane, going through mood swings faster than any pregnant mare ever could. It is thanks to this that Cozy Glow is not fit to stand on trial and all charges against her since the trouble she caused at Twilight's Friendship School to now had been officially drop and she'd been taken to a hospital where she will undergo recovery. "the only good thing to come out of all this."
And lastly Tirek and Chrysalis would stand trial in days' time where they WILL be sentenced to death for their crimes and the one responsible for all this mess as well as the death of soon to be "three" creatures gets to walk away free, literally no questions asked, and once again doesn't have to face any consequences for his actions and everyone lives happily ever after.................(sigh) "What a load of dog sh*t!" Raven said calmly after finishing going through her report.
Raven Inkwell is in her office at Canterlot Castle, sitting at her desk, she'd just finished reading the final draft of her report after going through all her notes she took from when she spoke to all those close to the now decease; Spike the Dragon. Little did they know that Raven was secretly conducting an investigation, she didn't like doing this without their knowledge but given the reason why she was doing this in the first place it might make things difficult and she was on a timer after all. Twilight and the others would no doubt refuse to speak if they knew what the glasses wearing unicorn was planning to do.
It all started not long after Spike's funeral when she heard that the mastermind behind the L.O.D. was forgiven for his crimes and two of his "pawns" will face punishment for theirs. This news infuriated Raven to no end. Discord the one who started all this mess gets to walk free and those he pulled into it are left to deal with the consequences.
"I mean seriously what is wrong with those idiots?" Raven said as she levitated a bottle of water that was sitting on her desk over to herself. She soon took a few gulps before setting it back down. "Can't they see the great injustice being caused here?"
Is there is one thing Raven hated the most it was "injustice" she can't stand it when justice wasn't properly served and the bad guy gets away without facing the consequences for their actions, especially those who are able to get away because the whole truth was never revealed and leave someone else to take their place and be punished instead and that's something Raven will not stand for.
So, she decided to investigate on the matter for she believes there are truths that haven't been revealed, questions that haven't been answered; scratch that. As it said in her report, no one asked any questions at all. They just accepted what was said about Discord's reason for doing all this and not once, "not once," realize how his so called "plan" to help Twilight and her friends makes absolutely no sense and its because of this that no one cared to learn the real reason Discord did all this but Raven figured out. She spent the past couple weeks learning all she could about Discord and thanks to Fluttershy she learned all she needed to know about him and by looking at the lord of chaos "plan" from a logical stand point the pieces began to fall into place so easily.
Raven look down at the papers on her desk; all neatly arrange. She was very thorough in her investigation when she spoke to each member a Spike's harem, his friends, and the princesses. She hidden her true intentions behind a veil of friendliness, worry, and curiosity and since the mane 6 knew her it only made things that much easier and after all that time building her case, she was finally ready to present her findings to the Princesses.
"Speaking of which!" Raven turned her head to look at the clock it was 3:16pm Raven was scheduled to meet with the princesses in the throne room at 4:00pm. "I better get ready to go!" She said as she scoots her chair back a little and use her magic to open the top left drawer of her desk and levitated a small black box that look like the ones you put a ring into. She closed the drawer and stared at the box with great nostalgia. Raven sighed. "I never thought the day would come when this part of my life would return," she said as she opened the box. "But for justice to be served, I'll happily dawn the mantle again." Once the box was fully opened Raven stared happily at the item inside. "Hello old friend, it looks like you and I got another job to do after so long."
Raven levitated the item out of the box before placing the box on her desk. The item in question was none other than Defense Attorney Badge.
Seeing it again brought back many memories and felt good to pin it back in its old spot upon her neck tie collar. Once the badge was secured in place Raven got out of seat walk to stand in front of her desk, took deep breath, gave a sharp glare, pointed out her right foreleg in dramatic fashion and screamed out......
"Yep! Still got it!" Raven said with a smirk. "I hope you ready Discord cause The Element of Justice is back and she's going to make sure you pay for your crimes."

Author's Note
Due to a new direction my story is going, I had to make some major changes so things would make sense later on.
Such as combining two chapters into one and re-editing things.
Ace Attorney, Raven Inkwell, at your service (re-newed)
Raven was walking through the halls of Canterlot Castle as she made her to throne room to meet with The Princesses. She carried in her magic her trusty clip board which held a few papers, each with important information she written down from her talks with all those close the case at hoof.
Raven went over her report one last time as she walked making sure everything was in order; of course, it was, but she always like to be thorough and careful when handling important paper work. You don't get to be the assistant of the princess by doing sloppy work after all.
By the time she finished checking everything she was standing before the throne room giant doors and the two guards standing before them.
"You may enter Ms. Inkwell; The Princesses are expecting you!" Said one of guards as he and his partner push open the doors.
Raven adjusted her glasses and spoke. "Thank you!" Before walking into the throne room.
Once inside, the guards close the doors behind her and Raven made her way to throne where all three Princesses awaits, fortunately it was just the three of them, which is good. Raven knew if the others were here, this meeting would drag on longer than needed, plus she would have to explain things too much and she rather do all that in the upcoming trial, plus it was also good that Discord wasn't here and she couldn't sense any of his chaos magic nearby which was also good, cause the last person she wanted to catch wind of this meeting was him.
As Raven got closer to the throne, she took the time to admire the amazing reconstruction of the palace back wall as the damage caused by the evil trio blast was properly rebuild. It looks as if the attack never happened in the first place. The construction workers did a marvelous job and now that the castle been fix it's only a matter of time before Twilight's coronation but there's still one last issue that need to be taken care of before that and that is what Raven came here to discuss.
Twilight was sitting in her throne, Celestia and Luna stood and the second level between the throne and the slope leading to the floor.
When Raven finally reached the throne, she bowed before her Princesses. "Hello your highness's and thank you for agreeing to speak with me." She said and soon stood back up.
Celestia nodded. "Of course, Raven but please just call us by our names, you know you don't have to be so formal with us, we are friends after all." She spoke.
"Celestia, right." Said Twilight. "I've known you since I was a filly and thought of you like a sister after all the time we spent together."
Luna speaks. "And thou have helped me learn all that I needed to know about the world today upon my return and I too consider you a friend, so there are no needs for you to use formalities when addressing us."
"Thank you for your kindness," said Raven. "But I need things to be professional, especially once you all hear what I have to say, so I would like you to treat this matter with the same level of professionalism as well cause what you're about to hear is very important and serious."
The three Princesses glance at each other for a few moments before nodding and turning their attention back to the unicorn mare.
"Very well, Ms. Inkwell!" Said Twilight. "What is it that you wish to tell us?"
Raven adjusted her glasses. "I wish to speak on the matter about upcoming trial for Chrysalis and Tirek!"
"Yes, we were just talking about that before you came in!" Said Luna.
"Is there something wrong, Raven?" Asked Celestia.
"Indeed, there is Princess, I've come to talk about the great injustice being committed upon Chrysalis and Tirek." Raven announced.
The three alicorns stared at Raven in both shock and confusion at what she just said. Wondering what she means by a great injustice being committed on the two villains.
"What does thou mean a great injustice is being committed on those two monsters?" Luna asked angrily.
"Yes, Raven explain to us what exactly do you mean!?" Celestia asked.
Raven floats her clipboard in front of herself and look over what she haves written before speaking.
"What I mean is, that those two are being unjustly punished and taking the full blame for something that wasn't entirely their fault." Raven said as she looks through her notes. "You all know that Discord is the one who started the L.O.D. while pretending to be Grogar so they would follow him." Raven adjust her glasses. "Discord had committed multiple serious crimes against Equestria through his so called 'plan'; He broke out criminals from their prisons, conspired with said criminals, treachery, treason, terrorism, manipulation, sabotage, aiding in the destruction of property, foalnapping, enslavement, destruction of a cultural relic, and last but not least," Raven set her clip board aside to look at the Princesses and spoke. "The murder of Spike the Dragon!" She finished.
The Alicorns could only stare with mouths opened at hearing that long list of crimes, but Raven wasn't through just yet.
"Discord's plan nearly got the world destroyed and I can't for the life of me think of a reason why any of you would forgive him so easily instead of punishing him after all he's done."
Twilight snaps out of her frozen in shock state to speak. "That's because Discord realized his mistake and saved my friends from captivity by putting his own life at risk." Twilight said sympathetically. "I admit when Spike died because of Discord plan, I hated him because the love of my life is now gone." She said sadly as a tear fell from her eye, she quickly wipes it away and resume speaking. "But thanks to Celestia and Luna; me and the rest of Spike's herd remembered his final wish to not be angry at Discord and forgive him." Twilight stood tall and glared down at the mare with the glasses. "And that's exactly what we did, not just because Spike wanted us too but because we realized that Discord was only trying to help me and my friends but didn't think things through. Spike knew that Discord didn't intend for things to happen the way they did and knew that he only had good intentions."
Raven discreetly rolled her eyes at that.
"It's because of that, that Spike held no ill will towards Discord and he'd used one of his last breaths to beg us to drop any feelings of hate or anger harbored towards the him." Twilight sighed. "Discord didn't know about the betrayal and the that those 3 had the bell the whole time, he had a plan and they ruined it and thanks to those things got out of control over they killed Spike." Twilight finished.
"I understand your concerns, Raven!" Celestia added. "It's true that Discord started all this but he wasn't trying to bring anyone down. Like Twilight said he just didn't think it through and felt he horrible for what he did that he even had nightmares of Spike hating him."
"Not to mention, remorseful for his actions." Luna said as she than scoff as thought ran through her head. "Unlike a certain former Queen." Luna said bitterly. "Also, Spikes harem and friends understand that they cannot move on if they dwell on what Discord did instead of forgiving him, they cannot move on and, in the process, they'll all become more and more bitter to not just Discord, but everyone they know."
"So don't you see, Raven?" Asked Twilight. We wish to honor Spike's final wish and forgive Discord and by doing so we could move on with our lives together. So no, we will not punish Discord for he was just trying to help us and risks his life to make up for what he did, plus I believe the nightmares he had was punishment enough."
Luna nodded. "I agree!"
"I commend you for bringing this issue before us Raven but I hope everything you've learned just now; help you see things our way and understand why Discord is pardon for his crimes and why Chrysalis and Tirek must pay for theirs." Said Celestia.
"With that said, do you have anything else you want to say, Ms. Inkwell or does this conclude this meeting?" Asked Luna.
"I do in fact, but before I say anything else, may I have your permission to speak freely, please?" Raven asked as she stared at the princesses with a neutral, emotionalist, expression that indicated that the alicorns words had no effect on her.
Twilight, Luna, and Celestia were stunned after hearing Raven's request, not sure what to expect here from her. After giving each other a quick glance and nodding they turned their attention back to the unicorn, curious to hear what she has to say.
"Very well, Ms. Inkwell!" Said Twilight. "You may speak freely!"
Raven adjusted her glasses and let out a deep sigh and spoke. "You three are complete idiots!"
Whatever the three alicorns were expecting her to say that was nowhere near close.
"H-how dare you!" Luna bellowed. "Do thou not know who it is you're speaking to?"
Raven wasn't fazed by Luna's sudden outburst and showed no fear still keeping her calm, neutral look.
"Sorry, Princess I don't mean no offense, I was just stating a fact, plus I do have permission to speak freely so I'm well within my right." Said Raven.
Luna calmed herself a little and snorted Annoyingly. "Fine! Then explain yourself this instant!"
"I'm too am curious to hear what it is you have to say." Said Celestia.
"What I'm trying to say is that you all are letting Discord get away with his crimes, when it's obvious that he's playing you all for fools."
"And how exactly is he doing that?" Asked Twilight.
"Simple your highness, by not being completely honest with you all and hiding the truth for why he really did all this." Raven answered.
"The reason Discord did all this was to help boost my confidence, he was only trying to help but he was betrayed and things got out of control." Twilight argued.
"Do you honestly believe all that, Princess Twilight?" Raven asked.
"I do, 100%" Twilight said, giving Raven a stern glare.
Raven let out a sigh as her horn glowed making a handkerchief appear out of thin air, she levitated her glasses off and took the time to clean both lenses, shaking her head disappointedly as she does so.
"You poor gullible fools!" Raven mock, she didn't even look at the Princesses, as her eyes glued to her glasses as she cleaned them.
Luna was getting angry; she was just about to yell at Raven before her sister stop her by placing a calming hoof on the night princess shoulder. Silently asking her to remain calm. Luna took in a deep breath and exhaled, calming herself. She nodded to her sister letting her know that she was fine. Celestia nodded in acknowledgement and removed her hoof.
After few moments. She finally finished her cleaning. The handkerchief vanishes into air, she casually places her glasses back over her eyes, and adjusted them. Raven took a deep breath, using the moment collect all her thoughts. After exhaling, she stared at the three alicorns and spoke.
"Now that I got your attention allow me to explain things more clearly." Raven cleared her throat. "First of all, I already knew the reasons why you all forgave Discord thanks to my previous investigations."
Twilight raised a curious eyebrow at that. "Previous investigations!?"
"What investigations?" Asked Celestia.
"My apologies!" Said Raven. "After hearing about how you all forgave the mastermind (Discord) but punish his pawns (Tirek and Chrysalis) I decided to take it upon myself to assess the situation by gathering intel from not just the three of you but from everyone else close to Spike. I've came to each of you as a friend filled with worry and curiosity, without revealing my true intentions, that I was secretly gathering intel from each of you, I didn't like doing it but if you all learned what I was planning to do earlier on, you would've no doubt refused to speak with me."
"And what exactly are you planning, Ms. Inkwell.
Raven adjust her glasses. "As I mentioned earlier Chrysalis and Tirek are victims of a great injustice being committed and I wish bring this injustice to light by defending them both in court as their defense attorney." She exaggerated that last part with stomp of her hoof.
Silence, a very long moment of silence. Until it was broken by a loud scream.
"WHHHAAAATTTT!!!!!!" yelled both Luna and Twilight.
Celestia only sat there still shock after hearing Raven's words.
"Y-You can't be serious!" Roared Luna. "You must be absolutely insane yourself Ms. Inkwell, far worse than Cozy Glow is! Why would you want to defend a child manipulating asshole and that unremorseful BITCH!!!"
(sigh) So much for professionalism. Raven thought. Not that I didn't see this coming. "I'm very aware of how Chrysalis acted towards the news of Mr. The Dragon death, the things she said, and how she feels no remorse what so ever from killing him. I also learned about what Tirek did to Cozy Glow from Cobalt Blitz himself. How the centaur manipulates and used a mentally ill filly for his needs for revenge. (sigh) and frankly I'm not amused, one bit, especially since Discord pretty much did the exact same things they did and he gets away Scott free for it."
"And how in anyway did Discord do anything remotely close to what they did?" Asked Twilight.
"Oh! So now you decide to start asking questions! Maybe if you realize the flaws of Discord's plan you would be questioning him." Raven slowly shakes her head disappointedly. "But sadly, I'm afraid I can't answer your questions your highness, not until the trial anyway and that can only happen when Chrysalis and Tirek accepts me as their defense attorney."
"And what make you think they would accept your help?" Asked Luna. "Last I check you are an assistant to the crown, not a lawyer and even if you were, why would we allow those two murderers a chance at having a defense attorney?"
"Because the law states that everycreature held under Equestrian law haves a right to an Attorney." Celestia answers. "We may be Princesses and rulers of this country but we can never deny anyone of their rights to an Attorney, no matter who they are or what they have done."
"ARGH! Fine, but Raven is still not a Defense Attorney, so she can't defend anyone in court, rights or no rights." Said Luna.
"Actually Luna, Raven is a Defense Attorney," Twilight corrected." at least until she retired years ago to take on the job as Celestia's assistant, It happened a couple years before I became Celestia's student so I didn't know about it until years later when I learned that Raven Inkwell was the Legendary~"
"Element of Justice!" Celestia finished as she looks down at Raven and noticed for the first time, a familiar looking golden badge pin to her dress collar that sent chills through her spine the second she recognized it. This is not good, not good at all. Celestia thought in fear. If this whole mess was able to bring back the most feared Attorney Equestria had ever known out of retirement (gulp) It will take a miracle plus a divine intervention to truly defeat her in court.
"The Element of what now?" Luna asked in confusion. "I never heard of such a title."
"It's understandable that you don't, my sister!" Said Celestia. "I'll tell you the full story later, just know that Raven is in fact fully qualified to take on task of being a defense attorney and is allowed to defend Chrysalis and Tirek in court if they so choose to accept her help."
Luna let out annoying snort. "Fine, I'll hold you to that Tia but I don't think that it will matter, there's no way those two will accept her help especially Chrysalis."
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about that Princess Luna." Said Raven. "I guarantee that they will accept my help and come the trial I will expose all the truths behind Discord's plan and when I do," Raven chuckles. "I wonder if any of you could still say you forgive him afterwards."
"I believe that we will!" Said Twilight. "I don't know what truth you are trying to expose Raven Inkwell but whatever it is can't be anywhere near as bad as what those two have done and won't be enough for us punish Discord and go against our promise to Spike."
"Oh please! That stupid promise holds no weight to it, for Spike only forgave Discord based off the story he told about why he did all this." Raven adjusted her glasses and directed her sights to the empty space above Twilight's head as if staring at something or someone that isn't even there and put on devious smirk. "And I willing to bet that he could never forgive Discord if he knew the whole story and his final wish would be for you all to take him down before someone else gets hurt or worse."
"SPIKE WOULD NEVER DO THAT!" Twilight yelled, getting the mares attention.
"Well, we'll just have to wait and see now don't we." Raven said smugly.
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Asked Luna.
Raven shrugs. "Nothing important right now, all that matters is that you all are planning to execute two creatures who are wrongfully taking all the blame for something you know was only possible thanks to Discord and you all can't even see how he's the true monster here and everything he has done to what he's allowing to happen proves it. Sure, you say the thing Chrysalis and Tirek had done was so bad and unforgivable but once you finally see the full extent of Discord crimes it would make the things those two have done look like a kiddie joke in comparison."
That got the Princesses attention but not by much. Luna wasn't fazed at all, Twilight still believed in Discord, and Celestia was on the fence with this one but knowing about Raven's past trials and how she always was able to bring the truth to light and made sure that justice was truly served, she was leaning over to Raven's side.
Raven continues. "Now back to the reason I asked for this meeting....I believe that an even greater criminal is trying to get away with his crimes, I spent the last couple of weeks gathering intel to help expose his crimes, I come out of retirement to defend Chrysalis and Tirek from an unjust fate, and prove to everyone who the real monster is and make sure all criminal acts are brought to light and those responsible are rightfully punish and since the law states that everycreature tried under Equestrian Law haves a right to an Attorney, I came here to tell you that I will be that Attorney and make my place in the upcoming trial official before it starts." Raven adjust her glasses. "That is all."
(sigh) "Very well, Ms. Inkwell. We'll make sure that you are officially apart of the upcoming trial." Twilight announced. "That is if both Tirek and Chrysalis accepts you as their attorney."
Raven nodded. "Thank you, Princess, if there isn't anything else I would like to go speak with my clients."
Luna snorted at that.
Twilight nodded. "You are free to go, Ms. Inkwell, meet us in the conference room after your done to let us know of their decision."
Raven bowed before turning to leave but stop after taking a few steps. "Oh, and there is one more thing!" She said as she turned back around. "I would prefer that you do not tell anyone especially your friends about any of this until after I return from meeting my clients. After all Discord is a primary suspect in my investigation and if he gets tip off that I'm looking to expose his crimes, he could easily turn things to his favor and I will not have him trying to interfere with anything and as Princesses you are sworn to uphold the law first and foremost. He may be your friend but your duty comes first no matter what."
"We understand Raven, no one will here of this until after you return from your meeting, you have my word." Promised Twilight.
"As do mine." Promised Celestia.
"And mine as well." Promised Luna although she still believed this was all a pointless endeavor.
"Thank you, your highnesses." Raven said with one last bow. "I'll see you again soon." She said as she marches towards the throne room doors and left, leaving the three Princesses alone.
"Ok what the buck was that all about!" Luna bark. "She can't honestly believe those two are the victims after everything they'd done."
"I get what you are saying Luna," said Twilight. "But Raven does believe that there is more going on that we're not seeing."
"Ohh please!" Luna said dismissing the statement. "You and your friends were there when Spike died, you all saw what happened, Tia and I saw how depressed and guilty Discord felt for Spikes death. For three days straight he spent in one of the castles guest rooms feeling even more downtrodden with each day that passed, moping around and blaming himself for something he couldn't have prevented. You saw him yourself, Twilight how upset he was that believed he deserves to be turned stone for what he did...does that sounds anything like the monster Raven's trying to make him out to be?"
"No! It doesn't!" Twilight answered. "Discord shown true remorse for what he did." Twilight shook her head. "I don't know what Raven thinks she believes but one thing for certain, Discord is not a monster."
"But Raven thinks so!" Said Celestia, getting the attention of her fellow Princesses. "And she'll do everything in her power to prove it."
"Sister, you can't honestly believe that she's haves anything concretes to condemn him, do you?"
"OH, COURSE I DO!!! You don't know her Luna at least not The Element of Justice part of her. She long since retired from being an Attorney long before your return to focus on being my assistant and left her protegee to take her place as an Attorney. Apaula Truth is very good at her job and get things done her way but Raven......" Fear began to fill Celestia mind as she remembered all of Raven's past cases and how she handled them. "......Raven is a whole other story entirely. Twilight! You've heard of her! There's a reason she's known as a 'Legend'."
"Why because she wins all her cases?" Asked Luna. "Sounds pretty farfetched if you asked me."
Celestia shakes her head. "No Luna! She doesn't win all her cases-"
"HA! So, this legend talk is just a load of nonsense!" Luna said with a grin.
"Let me finish?" Celestia asked. "It was never about winning a case it was about finding the truth and making sure justice was properly served. Raven can't stand injustice and hates it when the true culprit gets away because the whole truth was never brought to light and an innocent takes the fall for crimes they didn't commit." Celestia sighs. "Because of this she works extremely hard to find the truth and in the end was always able to expose it and make sure the real crooks are punished for their crimes. Many criminals would hire Raven as their Attorney thanks to how good she is at defending her clients and that was their biggest mistake."
"What!? You're saying she turned on her clients?" Asked Luna.
"If they happened to be the culprit than yes. It's part of the reason why she doesn't win all her cases, because she fights for the truth not victory, she also haves a reputation of being the most feared Attorney to ever grace a court room and this stems from how prepared she is when she presents her evidence and use pure logic and facts to help support her case and she always haves a way to back up her theories. No other Attorney had ever been able to outsmart her let alone defeat her in court. You have to see her action to truly understand what I'm saying, but trust me when I say things aren't looking good for Discord."
After Celestia finished speaking neither Twilight or Luna said anything else as they both contemplated on everything the sun princess just said. They both still believe in Discord but they were afraid of what Raven would present in court that could turn things around.
[Canterlot Castle Dungeons, Interrogation room #1]
Raven sat alone in a chair at the table set in the center of the room, silently going over her case reports, flipping through them on her trusty clip board as she waited for the guards to bring her soon to be clients here. After five minutes had pass the door to the room opened catching Raven's attention as she sat her clipboard down on the table. She watches as a royal guard step in first, behind him was none other than the two infamous villains themselves, Tirek and Chrysalis.
Tirek was wearing shackles upon his wrist and forelegs, he was also wearing an anti-magic collar around his neck that prevents him from stealing anyone's magic. Chrysalis was wearing shackles on her forelegs and had a large magic inhibitor ring secured around the base of their horn. A second guard soon entered the room after the two.
The second Raven saw Chrysalis, she noticed how that majority of the former queen body was covered in bandages, anymore and she would look like a fully wrap mummy. It was a surprising that she could still walk properly after the severe burn damage she received from Smolder.
Of course, Raven knows all about the fight between Chrysalis against Smolder, Rainbow Dash, Starlight Glimmer, Thorax and Ember. She heard all about it from those five when she was secretly conducting her investigation into Discord, so hearing about Chrysalis Beating wasn't something she'd expected. So, she kept up her act by being interested in hearing the details of the beating and how she believed Chrysalis deserves what she got for the things she said about Spike and the group just told her everything and more. Thinking back on it now as well as their reason for wanting to fight Chrysalis, only one thought ran through her head when they unknowingly press a button that really sets Raven off.
Hss, they shouldn't have done that!
Chrysalis and Tirek sat in the two chairs opposite of Raven. Well Chrysalis did, Tirek just moved his to the side and elected to sit on his haunches since the chair was obviously too small for him even in his old, smaller state.
Once the two were seated the guards left the room closing the door behind them. Leaving the three of them alone.
"When the guards said we had an important visitor, I was expecting one of those idiots!" Chrysalis said angrily. "So, who the hell are you and what do want with us, Pony?" She spat clearly wanting to offend the unicorn mare, but Raven did not let it bother her and just got straight to business.
Raven adjusted her glasses before speaking. "I'll just get straight to the point. My name is Raven Inkwell and I come here before you two to offer my services as your Defense Attorney in the upcoming trial in three days."
That was something the two villains didn't expect to hear especially from a pony no less.
"Defense Attorney!?" Tirek said still shock from the news. "We get a Defense Attorney to defend us "US" in court?"
"That's correct," Raven said. "You both have the rights to an Attorney and I'm willingly came to offer my help to the both of you."
"Y-you can't be serious!" Chrysalis growled. "This is obviously some kind of joke those fools are trying play on us."
"Yeah! Why in the world would the Princesses even send a defense attorney after what we did?" Asked Tirek.
"They didn't or at least it never crossed their minds." Raven answered. I've been studying your case for the past three weeks now and I come to learned that a great injustice is being committed upon you two and I'm here by own free will to help you two."
Chrysalis was not at all convince. The thought that anypony would want to help both her and Tirek was completely unbelievable.
Chrysalis suddenly slam her hooves on the table and bellowed. "Cut the bullshit, pony!"
"My name is Raven Inkwell!" She said calmly, completely unphased by Chrysalis rage.
"I DON'T GIVE A BUCK! WHAT YOUR NAME IS, PONY!" Crysalis yelled in anger. "You can't honestly think that we would believe that you came here to help two villains who tried on multiple occasions to try and take over your world by defending them in court!"
"I know it sounds crazy but I have a perfectly good explanation! "Said Raven.
"And what the hell would that be!?" Chrysalis asked.
Raven adjusted her glasses. "Discord!" She said with a calm yet stern voice.
Hearing that name got the duo attention. Chrysalis was about to lash out until Tirek place a hand on her shoulder, getting the former changeling queen to back off and calm down. Chrysalis turned to look at the centaur she started to calm herself when she noticed the serious look in his eye, silently telling her that he wanted to hear what Raven had to say, so Chrysalis sat back in her chair and let Tirek do the talking.
"Ok! Ms. Inkwell you have our undivided attention." Tirek said calmly. "So please explain to us why you want to help us? And what does Discord haves to do with it?"
Raven adjusted her glasses. “Very well, let us begin!”
(Canterlot Castle, Hallways)
After Chrysalis and Tirek agreed to hire Raven as their defense attorney. The glasses wearing unicorn left the dungeons to meet with the Princesses in the conference room. Just before leaving the dungeon completely Raven asked one of guards to come with her for she haves a very important favor to asked. A Pegasus guard agreed and joined Raven as the two trotted along down the halls of the castle.
As she walked, Raven looked over the two signatures written down on the official papers she asked the evil duo to sign. She knew she wouldn't have much trouble getting those two to agree, especially after telling them about how Discord was just using them as pawns to help Twilight and her friends and dispose of them by letting them be executed and not even try to convince the Princesses to at least change the sentencings to life in Tartarus. No doubt not wanting to risk them breaking out like Tirek already did before and since Cozy Glow somehow managed to get inside Tartarus so easily, (Raven still trying to figure that one out) as well a mail pony doing the same thing to deliver letters exchange between the two, (again still trying figure out how they even open the door)
Anyhow Raven believes Discord is trying to wrap up all loose ends in order to keep the truth hidden so he won't be punished for his crimes, not like he had to try thanks to how ignorant everyone is and Spike's foolish final wish only gave the Draconequuss the chance he needs to turn things to his favor, talk about lucky, but his luck is about to run out.
Discord may have everyone else fooled but not Raven, she's been suspicious of him since hearing about his confession and the reason why he did all this in the first place and it shouldn't take a super genius to see that his plan made no sense and was absolutely pointless, and not only that its absolutely impossible for it fail, there was no excuse for it to fail, not when you have someone like Discord pulling the strings. The only way things turned out the way they did is an if Discord let it happen and that's exactly what Raven aims to prove and much more.
"Umm! Ms. Inkwell?"
Raven snap out of her thoughts and turned to the Pegasus royal guard walking alongside her.
"My apologies, Silver Wing, I got lost in my own thoughts!"
Silver Wing shook his head. "It's alright ma'am, I understand that you must be very busy with this whole thing with Discord."
Raven nodded. "Indeed, I am! I'm definitely going to need some time off once this is all over." She said as rub her forehead for a bit. "Anyway, about that favor!?"
"Yes ma'am!"
"I would like for you to head straight to the conference room and tell the Princesses that I'll be running a little late, I need to head to my office really quick to gather some things, so it'll take me awhile, also let them know to summon everyone to the conference room, they'll know what I mean, and most importantly, "Raven stop walking and the stallion guard did so too. Raven gave Silver a serious stern look. "If by some chance their friends get there before I do, tell the Princesses that they are not allowed to tell anyone, anything until I arrive for, they are still under oath by their duty to uphold the law first and foremost, only when everyone is present will the meeting truly begin. You'll also need this!" Raven levitated the sign papers and with her magic she made a second copy and gave it to silver who grab it with one of his wings. "Give that to the Princesses first, that way they'll know that I have officially became Tirek and Chrysalis defense attorney and they'll have a reason to call the others for the meeting." Raven adjusted her glasses. "Did you get all that?"
Silver nodded. "Yes ma'am!"
"Good! Now hurry along we shouldn't keep the Princesses waiting!" Raven said as she then started walking to her office. Before she got too far, she stops when Silver called out to her.
"Ms. Inkwell if I may can, I asked you a question?"
Raven turned back around to face the Pegasus. "Go ahead, Silver! What is it?"
"I just been wondering! Why do you care so much about helping those two after all they've? And I mean all their many crimes against Equestria. Knowing all that can you honestly say they're real victims here?"
"Yes!" She answers quickly and nonchalantly as if the answer was obvious. Which means for Raven it absolutely is.
"But why? They tried to take over or destroy Equestria multiple time. Chrysalis kidnapping ponies and replacing them with changelings twice as well as showed no sympathy or remorse for Spike's death, Tirek tried stealing our magic for himself twice as well as took advantage of Cozy Glow when she mentally ill and almost got all magic in the world taken, and on top of all that they murdered Spike!" Silver let out sigh. "So, I can't possibly understand why you think those monsters deserve any kind of help it all seems pointless."
The two stared at each other in silence for a few moments before Raven adjusted her glasses and spoke.
"I understand that you are confused by my methods, Silver but I assure you all your concerns will be made clear in the upcoming trial and when that time comes you will see for yourself as well as everyone, who the real monster is."
"Maybe, but I still don't see how you plan to prove that Discord is the monster you claim him to be when everything was just a series of unfortunate events that began when the L.O.D. betrayed him."
"Is that what you believe! That he was so easily fooled by them!?"
"Well yeah, I mean it's practically those three M.O."
Raven yelled as she pointed a hoof at the guard, startling him.
"Ahh, it would seems you made a contradiction in your last statement, Mr. Wing!" She said with a grin.
"I-I have!?" Silver asked in shaky breath as he was still calming from be surprised by Raven's sudden outburst.
"Indeed, you have! You just admitted that the L.O.D. betrayal was something to be expected from them, is that correct?"
"W-Well yeah!" Silver answered nervously. "Given each of their history it isn't all that surprising."
"If that the case then tells me how was Discord betrayed by them at all?"
Silver Wing open his mouth to answer but couldn't think of anything to say.
"I mean if their betrayal was something to be highly expected, then explain to me why Discord didn't see it coming? It's not like he doesn't know how each of them did things that earned them the title of being untrustworthy!"
"M-maybe they outsmarted him!" Silver suggested. Although his shaky voice and nervous face indicated that he wasn't even sure himself. "Those three are good at what they do on their own so together they could of easily fool Discord."
Raven let out a sigh. "Except that's not possible!"
Silver raised an eyebrow. "How so?"
"Ever heard the old saying; Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me!"
Silver nodded.
"Like you said before, because of their history their betrayal is something to be expected and Discord knows about them. He knows about Chrysalis deceit, Cozy manipulation, and last but not least he experiences Tirek's betrayal first hoof." Raven adjusted her glasses. "Chrysalis kidnap Princess Cadance and took her place at the Royal wedding, she also kidnaps all the heroes and replace them with Changelings and Discord was a part of that rescue mission. -
-Cozy Glow fooled everyone with her sweet and adorable act so no one would suspect her true intentions and because of that she used Starlight as part of her ritual to take away the world's magic, trick the Mane 6 into trapping themselves in Tartarus, and manipulated her fellow students into becoming her personal army and clearly Discord was told about what she did, after all his magic was disappearing too! So wouldn't he not want to know why?"
Silver said nothing.
"And finally, the granddaddy of them all, Tirek! He used Discord to help him steal everypony magic more easily. He couldn't just take Discord's magic when they first met because he wasn't strong enough, so luckily, he knew exactly how to manipulate him and have him join his side and steal magic faster. He knew who Discord was and what makes him tick and he used that knowledge to his advantage because he knew what Discord is at his core, a chaotic being who wants the freedom to spread his chaos as much as he pleases but was being shackled down by friendship and Tirek said he would be Discord friend, accept him for who he truly is, and let him do what he pleases with nothing to hold him back. Only to betray him once he was powerful enough to steal his magic and was no longer useful to him anymore. -
-It made sense for Discord to be trick the way he was because he was still new to the whole friendship thing and still had much to learn, but now you're telling me that Discord planned for those 3 villains to work together, have them get a powerful magical artifact, and just expect them to not turn on him at any point?"
Silver was starting to sweat as he rubs one of his forelegs nervously. "Umm, maybe!" He said as smiled nervously.
Raven gave him a deadpanned look. "Seriously, cut the sh*t you're clearly starting to see the holes in Discord so called plan. Those 3 are selfish to the core and are well known of being deceitful and manipulative and Discord knows that," Raven step up into Silver personal space, got all up into face and glared angrily at him. "EVERYONE DOES INCLUDING YOU SINCE YOU'RE THE ONE WHO SAID THAT BETRAYAL IS PRACTICALLY THEIR M.O.!" She bellowed. She soon back away a bit as she looks down at the fear shaking Pegasus.
Silver haves no idea as to why he felt so afraid of Raven all of sudden. Try as he might he can't shake away the fear gripping him.
"Raven's right those three couldn't be trusted just like that, so then why didn't Discord just create a contingency plan just in case things went south?...... Silvers eyes widen in horror as a terrifying thought crossed his mind. (gasp) "Oh No!"
"So, you finally realize it huh?"
Silver was snapped out of his thoughts and look up to see Raven's smug face. Just the sight alone filled him with dread.
"I know what you're thinking!" Raven said as she began pacing around the Guard like a Timberwolf circling its prey. "If L.O.D. couldn't be trusted then why didn't he just create a contingency plan as a failsafe, in case things went bad!"
Silver said nothing, he just sat there on his haunches, afraid to move as Raven circled around him. He was sweating bullets as fear grasp him tightly.
"Then in that moment you realize something!" Raven smiled. "Something very important!"
Silver gulp.
"You realized that Discord plan couldn't possibly fail, not with someone like him pulling the strings." Raven chuckled. "It's funny really! People seem to forget that Discord isn't just a chaotic trickster, he's also a clever strategist, he's really smart and knows how to read the actions of others and trick them into playing into his hands. Just asked Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Princess Twilight about how he corrupted them when they first met."
"B-but what about Fluttershy?" Silver nervously asked.
Raven rolled her eyes. "She was the only one Discord couldn't get a reading on, the only one he couldn't get to corrupt herself like the others, so he had to force it." Raven let out a groan of annoyance. "You would think that she would be able to see pass Discord's lies like she did when she was reforming him, she seemed to be immune to his tricks but I was mistaken. She's just as stupid as the rest of her friends and just as blind but soon I will open their eyes just like I did yours and I barely had to do much for that to happen."
Silver said nothing.
"So now let's get back on topic, shall we! We know for a being like Discord his plan couldn't possibly end badly the way it did, he could have easily made a backup plan to ensure that he gets the bell and yet he didn't, he could of easily watch them when they went out to retrieve it in order to make sure they don't try and pull a fast one on him and yet he didn't, and I know this for a fact because Discord have proven he can spy on others without being detected." Raven stop her pacing to stand before the frighten guard, relishing in his fear of her. "As I was saying that Draconequuss literally haves an infinite number of ways to ensure his plan never ended badly and with that chaos magic of his only guarantees it and leaves absolutely zero room for excuses." Raven smiles. "Just like with Sombra!"
Silver pupils shrunk to the size of pinpricks as he realized exactly where Raven was going with this.
"That's riiiiight!" Raven sang. "Discord could of easily stop Sombra whenever he wanted, he admitted himself when showed that Sombra's attack didn't hurt him at all and he was just faking it and if you don't believe me, I can prove it!"
Raven horn glowed a screen appeared between them and Silver watch as the video played.
When the video finished. The screen disappeared. Silver only sat there shaking, as his eye rapidly twitch.
"And that's not all!"
"Oh dear mother Faust theirs more!?" Silver thought.
"Remember Discord didn't make an Contingency plan for the L.O.D. but he did make one for Sombra. Unfortunately, I can't produce a memory video that focuses on exactly what I want but thanks to my investigation when I spoke to the Mane 6, I learned that when Discord first confessed to everyone about what he did, Twilight realized that he planned for Sombra to attack and her victory in that fight wasn't even real and Discord said and I quote-"
Of course It was real! You just had an extremely good-looking safety net.
End quote.
Raven adjusted her glasses and gave a simple smile. "Now do you see what I'm getting at. If Discord made a backup plan incase Twilight failed to stop Sombra," Raven tilt her head. "Then why didn't he do the same with the L.O.D?"
A million thoughts ran through Silver head in that moment trying to think of something to counter the obvious answer but it was pointless there was only one reason Discord with his powerful magic didn't bother to make sure The L.O.D. Couldn't betray him because.
"He wanted them to betray him!" Silver sadly answers as he bowed his head. Now realizing the truth.
Raven nodded, she then raises his head with a hoof to his chin, so he can look her in the eyes. "That's right! Which means he knew about the betrayal the whole time and let it happen and because he was too stupid to think about the possible consequences, Spike the Dragon lost his life." Raven sighed as she let go Silver's chin. Then suddenly put on big happy smiled and pat silver on the side. "Hey now cheer up. It not like any of that will hold up in court, not without evidence cause after all evidence is everything in the court of law, so everything we mentioned are just theories, nothing more."
And just like that the fear that Silver felt throughout this conversation vanished in an instant. He let out a breath he doesn't even remember holding as a it felt like a giant boulder was lifted off him. "What the hell was all that?" he thought.
Raven stood up and levitated her clip board that she sat on the window sill, when Silver asked her his question. "Anyway, I think that's enough talk don't you. We both got urgent business to attend to and we kept the Princesses waiting long enough. You do remember what I asked you to do?"
Silver opens his left wing revealing that he was still holding the sign paper that Raven gave him earlier. "Y-yes ma'am!" He closed his wing.
Raven nodded. "Good, Oh and Silver! Make sure you keep everything that was spoken here to yourself." Raven adjusted her glasses and glared at him and for some reason the fear he felt before came back squeezing him slowly very slowly. "I will not tolerate any leaks getting out with the possibility that the wrong people here's about it before its time and don't think for a second that I won't know that it was you because I had a "Contingency plan" in place."
Raven grab her clipboard with a foreleg, thus stopping her levitating spell. She ignited her horn again and a red bubble shield appeared out of nowhere with both ponies inside.
"What the- What is this?" Silver asked in confusion.
Raven smirk. "A silent protection dome! I casted it so no one can here our conversation."
"But when did you-"
"Cast it!" Raven interrupted, finishing his sentence. "Just right after you said you had a question for me. I had a feeling thing might go in the direction it did after before you even asked your first question, so I discreetly cast the shield while still levitating my clipboard and since my horn was glowing at the same time you couldn't even tell."
The Fear quicken its tightening grip on Silver.
"So do you see how easy it was for me to make a contingency plan incase anypony was listening."
The Fear grip tighter.
Raven leaned forward staring deep into the scared pony eyes "And if I am mere Unicorn could do it!"
The fear grew even more as Silver felt as if he was staring into the eyes of death.
"Then what hell is Discord excuse?"
Silver didn't answer, why even bother he knew the reason and Raven did too but there is one thing he wanted to say and he had to struggle really hard just get the words out as he felt the fear choking him, and when he managed to speak, he only had three words he wanted to say.
"Who. Are. You?"
Raven leaned back and chuckled. "I'm Raven Bucking Inkwell!"
And with that said the fear once again disappeared as instantly as it came releasing the guard from its grasp. Silver barely caught himself from falling face first into the floor, breathing heavily as he caught his bearings. As he stood back up he noticed the silent dome fading away and once it was gone Raven turned and began walking away.
"Now hurry along Mr. Wing, we wasted enough time as it is!" Raven said as she kept walking. "And don't forget what I said, not a word to anyone about what was spoken or you will face the consequences for leaking sensitive information to the public during an ongoing investigation. Have a good day, sir." Those was the last words she said before turning down another hallway, leaving Silver Wing alone.
Silver had many questions about what happened and what that fear was but decided to drop it and focus on the task Raven gave him and forget the whole thing. So, he just trotted his way to the conference room.
(Raven Inkwell, Office)
Raven was sitting at her desk gathering all the papers from her investigations that she'll need for the meeting later but that wasn't the only reason she needed to go to her Office for.
"So is everything going according to plan?"
Raven finished organizing her papers and look up at the one who spoke. "Of course! Phase one is complete, I'm officially Tirek and Chrysalis defense attorney and thanks to that I can start phase two tomorrow, where I will have them take me to whatever hideout Discord been keeping them in and start searching for evidence to condemn him."
"Did you have any trouble with them agreeing?"
"Nah! It was super easy, barely an inconvenience!"
"Oh really! I thought they would be a bit of a challenge."
"I thought so too, especially after seeing me rant to myself, talking to those who weren't even there.”
”I bet they were confused as hell, believing you have gone insane.”
“Oh, they were, and they did, I can't blame them, I was staring out at a two way window, with its two-way function turned off, calling out and talking too creatures who weren't even in the next room. No one was, but in the end I was still able to tell what they needed know, they're still confused about the whole talking to myself thing but they’ll learn the meaning of that later after the meeting, what’s important is that agreed to have me as their defense attorney.”
Hehehe! Perfect! The pieces are falling into place and soon you'll show the world that Discord is a monster that need to be stop before someone else end up like Spike."
"No worries there, I've already opened the eyes of a Royal Guard earlier before coming here. It's just a matter of time before I do the same for everyone else, especially Spike's harem and friends."
"(Sigh) I still don't see how any of those idiots could forgive him so easily, Spike's final wish or not. Its clear that Discord's plan was greatly flawed and have more holes than an unreformed changeling legs."
"True, but these things didn't bother to cross their puny minds. If they took a second to think about it and I mean really think about it, like I did they would see the flaws and start questioning that Draconequuss."
"But instead they chose be ignorant and give that idiot yet another chance that he doesn't deserve, he didn't even earn it first!"
"Well according to them he earned it when he helped the Mane 5 get out of that cave!"
"THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! And look at what it led to!"
"Spike's heroic sacrifice!"
"pfft! Oh please! Spike's sacrifice was completely unnecessary."
"ROLL CREDITS!"
"What the buck!"
"What the buck!"
...
...
"Ooookkkkk! That was weird!"
"It's better not to question it!"
"Agreed! Anyway, as I was saying there was absolutely no reason for Spike to sacrifice himself like that when there were clearly other options, better options!"
"Indeed! Sure, you could say the adrenaline rush clouded his thinking or things were happening too fast but if he had the time to think about making the bell explode."
"He had time to think of something better and he's not the only one to make that mistake."
"Most definitely!"
"Anyway! I think I'll let you go Ms. Inkwell. You have a meeting to attend and an evil mastermind to bring to justice! So, I won't waste anymore of your time."
"Until we meet again, my good friend!"
"Until then! Tata!"
A bright light shine than faded away. Leaving Raven to stare at her own reflection in a grand mirror.
After her guess had left Raven levitated her papers hop out her seat and left her office.
Unknown to Raven and her guess. They were secretly being watched from outside the window. A flying cloak figure had been watching the whole conversation and once everything was done and Raven left, the mysterious creature let out an angry snort than flew away. If one paid attention enough you could see the figure turquoise eyes underneath the darkness of its hood, scowling in anger.
"Curse you Raven Inkwell!" Said the figure as it flew off across the sky.

Author's Note
I kinda suck at describing things so here's a picture of what the table everyone will be sitting at just to give you guys an idea of what it looks like.
I'm really doing my best to keep continuity with the timeline of the original story. So forgive me if things seems a bit off.
Raven: If the time jumps and different places, they were taking place in weren't all over the place. We wouldn't have this problem.
I really didn't know exactly which characters besides the obvious main ones to attend the meeting, so I was like F**k it put all of them in there. Who cares? Everybody's gonna know what's going on anyway so why not learn it all at once.
I hope you enjoy the chapter
The Meeting (Part 1) Re-edited with new content
(The meeting Room)
As promised Celestia, Luna, and Twilight waited in the Conference Room for Raven to arrive and tell them if she was successful in becoming Tirek and Chrysalis Defense Attorney or not. So, to pass the time the three Princesses struck up a nice friendly conversation.
"What's taking her so long!" Said Luna impatiently, as she sat at the end of the U table with Twilight sitting between her and Celestia.
"Patience, sister!" Celestia said. "We just got here not five minutes ago and its been much longer since Raven left for the dungeons. I'm sure she's already finished her talk and is on her way here as we speak."
"Hmmph! My guess she's probably sulking somewhere because those two turned her down." Said Luna. "I still don't believe she could actually convince them to accept her help, especially Chrysalis."
Twilight spoke. "I believe so too! I mean Chrysalis clearly hates all ponies. So the thought that she would accept any of our help is completely insane, just asked Starlight."
"Agreed!" Said Luna.
Celestia let out a deep sigh before speakin. "I understand your doubts and it is believable that those two won't accept Raven's help but I believe she will succeed. She wouldn't be doing this unless she was sure she can."
Luna slams a hoof on the table. "OH COME ON, TIA!" Luna sighs. "I know you said she's some kind of "legendary Attorney!" But you can't truly believe she can actually get those two, nay, Chrysalis to hire her."
"I agree with Luna!" Said Twilight. "Their might be a chance that Tirek probably would but Chrysalis is just impossible!"
"I get what you both are saying but trust me when I say that Raven always haves a way to accomplish her goals and no I'm not saying she use illegal means. That goes against everything that she is and what she believes in, and as I said before you don't know her as The Element of Justice. Niether of you seen her in court. What you saw back in the throne was just tiny piece of who she is! If she decided to be more serious (gulp) you two would also learn exactly why she is also known as the most feared Attorney." Celestia said nervously.
Luna snorted. "And what the hay is that supposed to-"
*KNOCK * *KNOCK * *KNOCK *
Luna was interrupted by somepony knocking on the conference room door.
"That must be Raven!" Said Twilight.
"Its about time!" Said Luna.
The three Princesses quickly regain their composer. Once they were settled, Twilight spoke. "You may enter!" She called out and soon the door opened to reveal not Raven Inkwell as they were expecting but a pegasus Royal guard, who walked in, let the door closed behind him, and then bowed to his Princesses.
"Your Highnesses!" Silver Wing said while bowing.
Twilight spoke. "You may rise, Silver Wing." Silver did as he was commanded and stood to attention. "Now tell us, what brings you here?" She asked.
"I was asked by to inform you by......." Silver froze in his speech suddenly but quickly cleared his throat and resume speaking. This slight paused did not go unnoticed by Celestia. "Pardon me! I was asked by Ms. Inkwell to inform you that she had finished her meeting with Chrysalis and Tirek, they accepted her as their Defense Attorney and-"
"THEY - WHAT!!!!!!" Twilight and Luna snapped. Scaring the royal guard.
Luna speaks. "Y-you must be mistaken or lying for that mare!"
"And what would that accomplish, sister?" Asked Celestia nonchalantly.
"I don't know....Its just...." Luna was just to shock at the news she didn't know what to say. Luckily Twilight pick up the slack.
"Do you have proof of this agreement?" Twilight asked.
"Of course he does!" Celestia says under her breath.
Silver nodded. "Yes your Highness! I have a copy of the sign agreement right here." Silver opened his left wing and held up the sign document. "Rav-" another paused in his speech but this one lasted a little longer, but he soon regain his composer.
"Are you ok, Silver wing?" Celestia asked both suspicious and concerned.
Silver nodded. "Yes, Princess! I'm fine! I don't know what came over me!"
Twilight and Luna were also worried for the young guard thinking he must be sick or have a headache but Celestia was worried for a whole other reason for she seen this kind of behavior many times before.
Silver clears his throat and resumed his earlier speech. "Raven task me to give this to you to prove that she was successful in her goal." Silver flew down the opening of the "U" table and landed before the part the Princesses sat behind and held up the document.
Twilight took it in her magic and levitated up to her and read through it. Celestia and Luna leaned in to read it as well. After few moments they were done reading and Twilight slowly place the document on the table and the sisters sat back in their seats properly.
Both Twilight and Luna were speechless. Too shock from seeing both the signatures of Chrysalis and Tirek actually agreeing to hire Raven as their Defense Attorney.
Celestia was the only one unphased by this for she knew Raven would succeed. She always do. Since Twilight nor Luna are capable of speech right now and are very busy having an intense staring contest at absolutely nothing. Celestia took it upon herself to do the talking.
"Did Raven say anything else that we need to know?"
"Yes ma'am! She said she needed to head to her office to get a few things for the meeting and that she's going to be a little late. She also said to call in "everyone" for the meeting but do not say anything to them about what's going on until she gets here, that is if they arrive before her."
Celestia nodded. "I see! Very well! We'll send a message to the others immediately but first I have something I want to asked you Silver Wing."
"Yes your highness!"
Celestia leaned forward, staring deep into the pegasus eyes with a stern glare. "Tell me by any chance before coming here. Did you and Raven had a conversation of sorts?"
FeAr once again began to tighten its grip around the Stallion. Though not in the same way as before. The fear from earlier felt like it was being poured into him by another source, this fear was clearly his own for he remembered what Raven said about keeping their conversation secret. She didn't say if it was ok to tell the princesses or not but Silver was to afraid of what the unicorn might do if he did.
"N-no ma'am! Nothing besides what she asked me to do!" He lied.
Celestia wasn't so easily fooled. She have seen this many times in the past to know the signs that Silver have been showing. He clearly gotten into some kind of debate with Raven and she used her "Fear tactic" on him. It was a natural technique Raven would use when she cross examined ponies, mainly the guilty parties themselves. Their was no magic involved just pure intimidation combined with her brilliant deductive skills. As long as she use pure logic and facts, and haves the evidence to back up her theories. She can make anypony feel great intense fear when they realize that they can't hide the truth from someone like her or she explains things with pure logic.
Many ponies who have debated against her have gone through this and only if she uses it. Raven haves complete control over her fear tactic and can stop it at anytime. Every single pony who's gone through it are so afraid of Raven they hardly can even say her name without being reminded of their experience.
Celestia may not know what Raven and Silver were talking about but seeing the after effects of the fear she instilled into the Pegasus guard, tells the Sun Monarch that even after all these years that Unicorn haven't lost her touch.
Not wanting to cause him any trouble, knowing full well that Raven made Silver promise not to speak about their conversation. Celestia decided to just let him go and speak to the mare in questioned herself about this.
Celestia sighed. "I understand! Is their anything else to report?"
"No ma'am! That's everything Ms. Inkwell asked of me."
Celestia nodded. "Thank you, Silver we'll take care of the rest. You're free to return to your post."
Silver gave a quick bow before turning and walking to the door, and step out of the conference room. After he had left, Luna spoke.
"What was all that for, Sister?"
"Yeah!" Said Twilight. "Why were so interested to know if Raven and Silver had some conversation?"
Celestia shook her head. "It's not important right now. Let's just hurry and summon the others here before Raven shows. So we can soon start The Meeting."
"Roll Credits!"

"Ooookkkk! I'm just going to ignore that and start writing the letter and then send it to mine friends." Said Twilight. She then took out a parchment and pen and began writing.
"So, were just going to ignore the fact that we just heard Pinkie's voice out of nowhere!?" Said Luna.
"You know Pinkie Pie enough, dear sister. To not try and questions anything that she does." Celestia replied.
Luna sighed. "True!"
After Twilight finished the letter. She lit her horn causing it to vanish into thin air.
It broke Twilight's heart that they now have to find new ways to communicate between one another from long distances. For Spike isn't here to receive or send letters any more. Sure, a simple targeting spell will send the letter straight to the creature she wanted to send it to but Twilight's curious mind wanted to test something out. She'll no doubt have to apologize to Smolder when she gets here.
About seven minutes later there was a knock on the Conference room door.
"You may enter!" Said Twilight.
The door opened to reveal her friends and fellow herd mates. Though with Spike gone they can't really be called a herd any more.
"Ah, good! You're all here!" Said Celestia as she then gestures to the line of chairs on her side of the U table. "Please all of you take a seat over on this side."
Everycreature took a seat. There was more than enough chairs for everyone on just that one side alone and the table was long enough to fit them all perfectly.
All who have arrived were exactly who Twilight asked for to be here.
Starting from the one sitting closes to Celestia we have; Rarity, Pinkie, Starlight, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Discord, Smolder, Garble, Ocellus, Yona, Sandbar, Gallus, Silverstream, Ember, Thorax, Gabby Griffon, Cobalt, Cozy Glow, and the CMC.
All 12 members (including Twilight) of Spike's herd were here along with his many friends. They didn't know why they were called here; the letter didn't say. All they knew that it was very urgent.
Everycreature has been staying here in the castle for the past couple days now. They stayed so they would all be there to see justice served when Chrysalis and Tirek are tried and punished in just a few more days.
Once everyone was seated, Twilight spoke.
"Thanks for coming everycreature! I hope you got my letter OK!" She said as she glanced over to the orange female dragon.
Smolder deadpanned. "Yeah, we got your letter all right."
*****
(earlier)
The young six were just chillin in one of the many guest rooms of the castle, having a friendly conversation until.
*BURP* Smolder let out a belch out of nowhere. Causing her to breathe out a little fire but that's not all that came out as she quickly noticed a letter that appeared from her flames and drop to the floor.
Everyone silently stared at the letter for a few moments before Smolder spoke up and said.
"What the fu-"
****
"I'm mean really, Twilight! I told you before that dragons can't naturally send letters through their flames. It's no doubt the reason why Spike could do it was because of pony magic."
"I know! I learned that when my magic hatch his egg it did more to him then just making him grow. It was only by pure luck that he sent a report I was working on for Celestia back when I was nine. Straight to her with his dragon flames." Twilight chuckles. "I really freak out when I thought he burned it."
Celestia spoke. "And that how we learned of Spike's unique gift. When you came to me with the re-written report only to see that I had the original."
Twilight laughs a little. "Yeah!" She turned her attention to Smolder. "Sorry for sending that letter through you Smolder. I just really wanted to test that theory and it was the fastest way to get it straight to you guys. I promised it won't happen again."
Smolder shrugged. "Eh! It's fine! Can't say I didn't want to experience it for myself at least once......So enough about that. In your letter you said for all of us to come here for an urgent meeting."
"Yes, darling." Said Rarity. "When Smolder and her friends came to the rest us and told us the situation you didn't say what the urgency was."
Twilight bit her lip at that she wanted to tell everyone what's going on but she gave her word not to say anything until everyone was present so the meeting can start and Raven haven't arrived yet.
"I'm sorry everyone but I can't tell you anything until Raven gets here first." Twilight said solemnly.
"Raven? Raven Inkwell, your assistant? What does she have to do with this?" Asked Starlight.
"A lot apparently but that is all we can say on the matter." Luna said. "All we can do now is wait for her arrival and all your questions will be answered."
Nobody said anything more on the matter and just opted to wait for the last guest to arrive.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK* *KNOCK*
And it seems they didn't have to wait long.
"You may enter!" Twilight said.
The door opened to reveal Raven Inkwell holding a stack of papers in her magic. She steps inside and closed the door.
She took a moment to see if everyone is here and accounted for. Satisfied that no one is missing. She adjusted her glasses and spoke. "Evening everyone!" She said as she walked towards left side of the U table which was void of anyone else. "Sorry to keep you waiting. I had to stop by my office to pick up a few things for this meeting." Raven chose to sit in the chair that was in the center of the left table. Once seated she set her papers down on the table and turned face The Princesses before speaking again. "I assume you three kept your word and didn't tell them anything yet?"
The three rulers nodded. "Yes Raven! We kept our word." Said Twilight.
Raven smiled and nodded. "Good!" Her horn glowed as her magic grab something hiding underneath the stack of papers. "Now I won't have any problems with this next part."
That got Twilight's curiosity. "What are you talking ab-" before Twilight could finish her sentence. Raven quickly stood up, pulled something from under her papers and shot it across the room. She did it all so fast that no one had time to react. Especially the one she was aiming for.
"AHHHHH!!!!"
Everyone turned to face the one who was screaming. It was none other than Discord grasping at what look like a collar tied around his neck.
"What the hay is this, that you threw at me?" Discord grunted. Trying to pull the collar off but to no avail. It was stuck on tight.
Fluttershy eyes widen in horror at her dear friend trouble. "Discord! Are you ok?" She asked with concern.
"I'm fine!" Discord said still trying to pull the collar off. He eventually just gave up and decided to snap the collar away. "Just give me a moment Fluttershy!"
*SNAP*
Nothing happened.
"What the?"
*SNAP*
Still nothing.
*SNAP*
*SNAP*
*SNAP*
Discord was starting to become frustrated.
"Maybe Chaos guy not doing it right!?" Exclaimed Yona.
"How am I not doing it right?"
Yona shrugged. "Yona don't know! How could you?"
Discord grumble in annoyance as he continued trying to access his magic and get the collar off.
*SNAP*
"Come on!"
*SNAP*
"Come off!"
*SNAP*
At this point Discord finally gave up as he screamed in frustration. "ARRGGHHH!!! I can't use my magic!"
"And it took you two whole minutes to come to that obvious conclusion!?" Raven said nonchalantly. Not looking up from her papers that she's rearranging in four separate stacks in front of her.
Everyone's eyes were now on Raven. They thought she would start explaining things but she just sat their continuously moving papers around.
"Well?"
"Well what Ms. Glimmer?"
"Aren't you going to explain what that thing is that put-on Discord's neck and why!"
After setting down the last sheet. Raven finally look up at everycreature staring at her.
"Well! No point in beating around the bush. I say it's time we get this meeting underway.... Princess Twilight the floor is yours. Tell them everything."
Everyone's attention was now on Twilight waiting for explanation.
Twilight sighed. "First let me apologize in advance to you Discord for what you are about to hear."
"Apologize? For what?" Discord said curiously.
Twilight bit her lip. She really didn't want to say it but she had to. He needed to know. They all needed to know and maybe they all could convince Raven to stop all this and see Discord for the good guy he is. It was that thought that push Twilight to go forward with this.
"Discord Draconequuss. I'm sorry to say but a case has been opened up against you for your crimes against Equestria, as you are the mastermind behind the Legion of Doom attack three weeks ago! In other words, you are under arrest for your actions against the crown!"
"WHAT!?" Shouted Discord in shock
"WHAT!?" Shouted everyone else that came to the meeting as a group.
"You're also being charge for "involuntary mareslaughter" as it was because of your plan that led to poor Spike's death!" Said Luna.
"WHAT!?"
"WHAT!?"
"And because of your actions. You will also be standing trial in three days' time where your fate will be decided alongside both Chrysalis and Tirek." Celestia said.
"WHAT!?"
"WHAT!?"
Raven spoke up to conclude speech. "And like any natural magic user under arrest. Your magic must be cut off from you and that collar," Raven points to the item in question. "Is blocking you from accessing your magic, just like a magic inhibitor ring we place on unicorn horns only that collar was specially. Made. For. You."
"And where did you get that collar, Raven?" Celestia asked.
"Oh, I made it myself!" Raven answered.
"What? How? Why?" Asked Twilight.
"Well, I did plan on using Grogar's bell but then I remembered," Raven turned her gaze above Twilight's head glaring at someone or something that's clearly isn't there. "It exploded."
Luna was the first to notice Raven gaze fix over Twilight's head for she did the exact same thing earlier in the throne room but when the night princess turned to see what she was looking at she saw nothing of interest.
"What are you looking at, Inkwell?" Asked Luna.
Raven shift her gaze to meet Luna's. "Hmm! Oh, nothing important right now!" She turned back to Twilight and began speaking again before Luna could say anything else on the matter. "So, I decided to make a anti magic collar by using tiny pieces of Chrysalis throne that I got from the caves Twilight's friends were imprisoned in and lined them around the inside of the collar. Thanks to Chrysalis herself, I learned that the size of the shards determines just how far the nullification magic travels. When it was a throne, it covered the changeling lands, when it was baseball size, fragments it only covered a set number of feet. So, the the nullification magic coming from the tiny pieces in the collar can only effect the wearer and the collar itself is enchanted lock and only I know how to remove it." She said with a smug grin.
The room fell silent after Raven finished her explanation. Everyone sitting directly across from her were still stun from everything they just heard. The silence was broken when Smolder spoke up.
"Ok! Back up! Let me get this straight! You're telling us that Discord is being charged for starting the L.O.D in the first place as well as being held responsible for everything they did?" She asked.
Raven nodded in confirmation. "That's correct!"
Smolder turned to look at the Princesses. "Princesses!? Why is Discord being charged for what he did?" she asked.
Rainbow spoke. "Yeah, I thought you guys pardon him for everything!"
Applejack speaks. "Better! we all forgave him; heck Spike even forgave him before asking us to do the same before he passed."
Fluttershy finish. "You guys aren't betraying, Spike's final wish, are you?"
The Princesses shook their heads.
"No! we're not betraying Spike's wish!" Twilight answers. "It's just that we have no choice but to convict Discord for his crimes."
"But why, darling?" asked Rarity.
Celestia speaks. "Because as Princesses we are to uphold the law first and foremost. Though its true we pardon Discord for starting The L.O.D. it seemed we didn't consider all of his crimes on top of that, including Spike's death."
Luna continues. "Things would have remained as they were until earlier today," Luna turned to look at Raven and glares at her. "Ms. Inkwell came to us and presented her findings from her lengthy investigation on Discord as well as a long list of his crimes." Luna sighed. "For the past three weeks she had been building her case and now haves enough information to have Discord stand trial for everything he did and cause with his plan."
Twilight speaks. "Not only that but Raven believes that Discord is the true villain behind all this and is simply using the forgiveness we given him as a lucky break to escape being punish as long as "The Truth" so she puts it. Never gets revealed."
"WHAT!?"
"WHAT!?"
Smolder shot up from her seat as she slammed her hands on the table in fury. "And what exactly are these so-called list of crimes he'd committed?"
Raven gave an attention seeking cough. Thus, getting everyone's attention. "I'll answer that! After all, I am the one who brought Discord's misdeeds to light so I will answer your questions about the case!" Raven levitated a sheet a paper from the stack, up to her eye level before reading. "Now to answer your first question about the list. I'll tell you all the exact same thing I told the Princesses earlier. You all know that Discord is the one who started the L.O.D. while pretending to be Grogar so they would follow him." Raven adjust her glasses. "Discord had committed multiple serious crimes against Equestria through his so called "plan"; He broke out criminals from their prisons, conspired with said criminals, treachery, treason, terrorism, manipulation, sabotage, aiding in the destruction of property, foalnapping, enslavement, destruction of a cultural relic, and last but not least," Raven set the paper down to look at Smolder and spoke. "The murder of Spike the Dragon!" She finished.
"What the hay are you talking about?" Yelled Smolder. "Sure, I can't speak against the obvious things he did but most of that wasn't his fault. They were caused by the other Four."
Raven shakes her head. "It doesn't matter if majority of the crimes committed were cause by the other four villains. He's the one who brought them together in the first place. Which means he is responsible for their actions."
"Even so! He just wanted to reform them, give them a chance to learn about the magic of friendship! But he underestimated just how beyond saving they really were (excluding Cozy Glow) he didn't see the betrayal coming and that's how things ended the way they did." Smolder said.
*BANG* "AND HOW THE HELL DID HE NOT SEE IT COMING?" Raven yelled as she shot up from her seat while slamming her hooves on the table. "They are- (but in Cozy Glow's case was) completely untrustworthy and each have a history of deceit and betrayal. I mean for Pete's sake, Tirek betrayed him once before so why wouldn't he not see the obvious coming?"
"I put them through a series of trials to see if I truly can trust them!" Discord admitted. "It took some time but in the end they passed. So, I believed it would be smooth sailing from then on out......until they betrayed me at the last possible second."
Hearing Discord say that made Cozy Glow feel a little bad. She knows he doesn't mean any offence to her. After all he did apologize to her for using her for his plans like he did. He didn't know about what Tirek had done to her and he was only trying to help reform her. Things may not have gone as Discord planned, but doing what he did gave Cozy a second chance at reformation and forgiveness and she'll always be grateful to him for that.
Which is why it made her as well as everyone else, angry at Raven for trying to convict their friend and she hope they could get her to see reason and drop this farce.
Raven sat back in her seat with an annoyed huff. "Whatever! You still should of kept that in mind and it won't change mines either." Raven leans forward and glares at the draconequuss. "You are the true monster of this story; you can blame Chrysalis and Tirek for what they did all you want but the fact remains that none of the mess caused by their actions wouldn't have happened if you haven't gone through with your crazy plan in the first place." Raven back down as she thought about the purple dragon who died. Making her feel sad inside. "Spike would still be alive if it wasn't for you!" She said somberly.
Hearing the way Raven say that the way she did. Made everyone else feel sad for her. They all remembered when Raven came to them to talk about Spike. (Which was actually Raven conducting her secret investigations) Those who didn't know had learned that Raven knew Spike just as long as Twilight when she first became Celestia's personal student. She was just as much a part of Spike's life as Twilight was during those days before they moved to Ponyville. So, it's without a doubt that she is just as hurt as they are when she learned about Spike's death and is no doubt still mourning the loss of her longtime friend.
"Is that why you're really doing all this, Raven?" Twilight asked. Grabbing the mare's attention. "Is this just your way to get back at Discord for what he did?"
Everyone stared at the glasses wearing unicorn, waiting to hear her answer. Raven closed her eyes, took a deep breath and exhaled before opening her eyes again.
"I admit! Part of me is really angry at Discord and want to see him pay for what happened to Spike, cause as I said before this is all his fault."
If anyone in the room understood exactly what Raven was going through. It was Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Garble. (I have no real clue how Spike's other lovers and friends felt about Discord at the time. So don't ask ) For they to hated Discord for what he had done because it led to the death of their lover. As for Garble not only did, he lose a good friend/brother. His sister fell into a deep depression and it hurt him to see Smolder like that and he resented Discord for starting it. It was because of Fluttershy that Smolder was able to start moving on with her life but it was thanks to Celestia and Luna reminding the girls of Spike's dying wish to forgive Discord as well as understand that he was only trying to help them not trying to bring them down. He just didn't think things through.
The mane 6 turned to look at one another and after a moment, nodded in silent agreement.
"Raven?" Twilight spoke first. "I understand what you're feeling and you know I do." Raven said nothing and just sat there and listened. "Like me, you knew Spike for a very long time and you two were great friends. I get that you're hurting due to his passing but this isn't what he wanted, he didn't ask to be avenged he asks us to forgive."
"But what about Chrysalis and Tirek!?" Raven shot back. "You can't deny that they including Cozy Glow had no idea what was really going on. They didn't know Grogar was just Discord in disguise let alone that he was trying to reform them. Not to mention that they weren't a threat until he made them one. It was his choice to to bring them together and not think of the possible consequences. Just as it was their choice to betray him and try to take over. Yet they're the ones who are locked up and he gets to go free...........WHY? HOW IS THAT FAIR?"
"It's not like we didn't try and give them a chance!" Rainbow countered.
"We went down to that dungeon to do as much!" Said Applejack. "But Chrysalis and Tirek proved that they were beyond help."
Raven yelled. "You all went down there to charge them for murder. That was very first thing you did. Remember I spoke to each and every one of you about what happened when you went to visit those three in the dungeons and giving them a chance at forgiveness was not even an option. You all," she says as she gestures to everyone in the room. "Just wanted revenge for them killing Spike and I would bet my entire life savings that even if Chrysalis did felt remorse for killing Spike or Tirek did apologize to Cozy Glow sooner. You would have still punished them regardless for your misguided sense of justice."
"You're wrong!" Starlight countered. "If they did apologize for everything and Chrysalis did show remorse. We would of given them a chance to earn forgiveness and be reformed." Starlight felt her anger slowly rise as she began to remember everything the ex-changeling queen said about Spike. "But instead, Chrysalis showed us that she didn't at all care that she killed Spike. Constantly talking down on him again and again without even the slightest hint of remorse."
Pinkie Pie spoke. "And we did notice that Tirek nor Cozy Glow didn't share Chrysalis view. They actually did care that they killed Spike and would never speak ill of him now that he's dead."
Rarity continues. "And because of that we were considering to at least give Tirek a lighter sentence, maybe even a chance at reformation but when we heard what he did to poor Cozy from Cobalt. It was made clear that he doesn't deserve a chance at all for using a mentally ill child for his need for revenge."
Raven didn't say anything.
"Raven?" Fluttershy called out, getting her attention. "Like everyone else in this room you both miss and cared for Spike. You want justice for his death and you're lashing out at Discord for he's the one who started the mess that led to you losing a dear friend."
Raven said nothing. But Fluttershy notice the look of uncertainty in her eyes. Raven was not fully convinced but she seemed to be teetering to their side even if it's only a little.
"Let me tell you the same thing I told Smolder when she was depressed." Fluttershy cleared her throat. "Spike may not be here physically, but he still resides in each and every one of us," Fluttershy explained, placing a hoof on her chest, directly above her heart. "He resides in the same place inside you too. Another thing you should know is that you have a piece of Spike's spirit inside of you. Everyone who knows him has a part of him big or small residing in them, whether they want to believe that or not. You expressed that fact when you spoke about your friendship with us."
Raven still said nothing but her body language spoke loud and clear. She was starting to get what Fluttershy was saying.
"We all miss Spike but we can't mourn him forever. I'm not saying to forget him but we need to move on. That's something that Spike would've wanted for us if one of us died," Fluttershy explained.
Raven took a moment think about everything Fluttershy just said and contemplating what she wanted to say next. After letting out a big sigh. She was finally ready to speak her mind.
"I get what you're saying Ms. Shy, I do but I'm afraid I can't simply ignore what Discord did and put it behind me like the rest of you. As I said before Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow may have killed Spike but it was his actions that led to such a thing to be possible in the first place." Raven lean forward and place the elbow of her forelegs on the table and clasp her hooves together. "If both Chrysalis and Tirek are monsters for the things they done." She turns her sights to Discord. "Then no doubt Discord is the same. A monster who doesn't care if someone got hurt and is willing to use a child for his goals." Raven raised an eyebrow. "Sounds familiar?"
That caught everyone off guard as silence was Raven answer.
Raven shook her head. "Just face facts. Discord deserves to be punished just the same as Tirek and Chrysalis are going to be and I don't see how any of you can prove different."
"I'll tell you how!" Argued Smolder. "I won't deny what Discord did is wrong, I won't deny that he did play a part in Spike's death but despite all that Spike still found it in his heart to forgive him and ask us to do the same for he knew Discord didn't mean for things to go the way it did, he knew that all Discord was trying to do was help and that's why he forgave him its why we went and fulfilled his final wish and if you are truly his friend you would do the same as well."
"His final wish means nothing if he knew just what kind of a monster Discord truly is!" Raven argued back.
"Except you're wrong! Discord is not a monster and we all know that!" Everyone else in the room (excluding Discord) all nodded. Agreeing with Smolder. "And if Spike himself was here he'd tell you the same!"
Silence.
Raven didn't say anything after Smolder finished her rant. Once again, she just sat there glaring at the orange dragon while keeping her facial expression neutral. She soon started rubbing her chin with a hoof while in deep thought, she eventually turned her gaze towards Twilight. More specifically the empty space just above her head. Luna once again notices this and shift her gaze to see what Raven is staring at and like before there was nothing there. Nothing but a blank wall behind the princesses. So what the hay is Raven staring at and why is she grinning like that.
Raven turned back to face Smolder with a cheeky grin on her face. "You know what Ms. Smolder! You're right!"
Smolder raised an eyebrow in confusion. Did her speech somehow get through to Raven.
Smolder calmed herself before scratching the back of her head. "Ummm, Thanks! I'm glad you finally understand!"
"Oh no! I wasn't talking about your pathetic speech!" Raven Said.
That made Smolder mad. "One: My speech wasn't pathetic and two: What the hay was I right about?
Raven adjusted her glasses. "You are right about Spike! If he were here, he would definitely have a lot to say on this matter." Raven turned her head looking once again at the empty space above Twilight's head. "And wouldn't it be great if he was a part of this meeting." Raven rested her head on top of a hoof while continuously staring at the empty space. "And I can tell from your reaction that you indeed have a lot you want to say. Don't you......" Raven's grin grew bigger. ".... Spike!"
A more eerie silence fell over the room after what Raven just said. Absolute pure confusion was written on everyone elses face as they tried to figure out what the hell was Raven talking about or in this case who the hell is she talking to. Everyone turned to look at whatever it is Raven is looking at but there was absolutely nothing there.
Luna speaks. "OK! Ms. Inkwell! Enough of your games! Just what the hell are you looking at? I noticed you been staring at the empty space above Twilight with great interest since you first did it earlier back in the throne room and done so two more times during this meeting." Luna gestures with a hoof, pointing at the space above Twilight. "There's absolutely nothing there but something is definitely catching your eye and I want to know what it is and why only you can see it."
Ocellus speaks up. "Maybe it's her glasses!" She suggested. "They must be enchanted and it allows her to see things that we can't."
Raven chuckles to herself at that.
Ocellus continues. "Just a moment ago she was acknowledging Spike as if he's right there," she pointed with a hoof above Twilight. "Hovering above Twilight's head! So, what if her glasses are enchanted with magic that allows her to see ghosts and at this very moment Spike is literally right there hovering above Twilight as we speak. Watching this meeting but can't take part in it because he's a ghost."
"No offense Ocellus but that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard." Said Rainbow Dash. "You're telling me that Raven," she pointed to the mare in questioned. "Randomly decided to enchant her glasses so she can see ghosts? Why? Why would she do that? How would she even know that Spike would even be here at all to begin with? Shouldn't he be in heaven? Is it even possible to leave heaven and come back to the world of the living like that whenever you want?"
"Yes, it is possible, Ms. Dash!" Raven answered. "And everything Ocellus guessed is true. My glasses are enchanted and I've been seeing Spike flying around since the funeral, just as I can see him right now hovering above Twilight's head."
Everyone in the room turned to look at the space above Twilight.
"S-Spike!?" Said Twilight. "Are you really there?"
"It looks as though he's trying to tell you, yes I am here!" Raven answered.
Rainbow Dash was not convinced. "Oh please! She's probably pulling our leg! I don't believe she can see Spike at all!"
Raven raised an eyebrow. "So, its proof you want." Using her magic, she took off her glasses and levitated them over to Rainbow Dash. "Then here, see for yourself!"
Rainbow hesitated for a bit for she was still skeptical about all this but with heavy sigh she decided to play along. So, she reaches out to grab the glasses only for them to be pulled back just before she grabs them.
"Hey! What gives?" Said Rainbow.
"I just want to warn you to be careful with these because if you damage my glasses, you will be paying for their repair and/or replacement if you break them, Rainbow Crash!" Raven warned. She then levitated them back to Rainbow.
Rainbow let out an annoyed snort at the use of her nickname, then carefully took the glasses in her hoof. "Yeah! Yeah! I'll be careful!" She said as she put on the glasses. Once they were secure, she turned her head towards Twilight. "I still think your full of sh-" Rainbow stop mid-sentence, her mouth agape, and eyes widen as she is shock to actually, she none other than Spike hovering over Twilight's head, shyly waving at her. "S-SPIKE!" She shouted; she then flew up to meet the young dragon. "It really is you!" She said with tears in her eyes.
Everyone else was shock to hear that Rainbow actually can see Spike.
"Wait, really! He's actually there?" Asked Ember.
"Yeah!" Rainbow answered. Wiping the tears from her eyes. "He's got a halo over his head and his regular wings are replaced by feathered angel wings." She described.
"Ooh, ooh! Let me see Dashie?" Said Pinkie. Rainbow flew down to Pinkie Pie and gave her the glasses. Once in hoof she put them on and saw Spike directly in front of her. Who flew down towards her to give the pink mare a better look at him? "(gasp) Spike how have you been? You look great! What's heaven like? Why do you have angel wings when you already have your own? I get that makes sense for non-winged creatures but why do that for those who do have wings? Do Pegasi, Griffons, and Hippogriffs get their feathered wings replace by feathered wings? Wouldn't that be as pointless as replacing other winged creature's wings in the first place? Unless there's something magical about the new wings! But then why not just add that magic to the old wings? And- mmmmmphhh" Pinkie constant questions was stop by Rarity placing a hoof over her mouth.
"I think that's enough, darling!" Said Rarity. She then removed her hoof from Pinkie's mouth. "At least give Spike a chance to speak.
"Ohh, ok! Sorry about that Spike! So,+ tell me whatever it is you want to say and I'll relay it to everyone. So go ahead! I'm all ears!" Pinkie said. As she then sat there listening to Spike speak. "Uh huh, uh huh,"
Raven face hoofed herself at the stupidity she was witnessing but nobody noticed because they were all focus on Pinkie.
"Uh huh, ooh that's interesting!"
"What? What did he say?" Asked Twilight.
Pinkie shrug. "I don't know! I can't hear him!"
Silence fell over the room as everyone just stared blankly at the pink mare. Including Spike.
"What do you mean you can't hear him!" Said Rainbow.
"I mean I can't hear him." Pinkie shot back. "His mouth moving but I can't hear a single word he's saying!"
"But why though?" Rainbow asked. "What about the glasses?"
"And what make you think the glasses would help?" Asked Raven. Levitating the objects in questioned off Pinkie and floated them back to herself. "Their Glasses!" She exclaimed as she put them back on. "You put together why you can't hear Spike when wearing them!"
Applebloom spoke. "Because glasses help you see not hear."
Raven nodded. "That's correct, Applebloom!"
Rainbow gave a deadpanned look as she sulks.
"Oh, don't make that face Rainbow for soon you will be able to talk to Spike! Sooner than you know!" Said Raven.
That got everybody attention.
"And what do you mean by that, Raven?" Asked Celestia.
"I'll show you!" she turns to Spike and beckons him with a hoof. "Come here Spike!" Spike did what he was told. Once he was close enough. Raven lit up her horn. "Now hold still, this spell is a bit tricky and none of you interrupt me. I need pure concentration for this."
With that said. Raven closed her eyes and concentrated on casting her spell. As the seconds pass her horn grew brighter and brighter as the aura grew bigger and bigger. After a bit her horn stop glowing brighter and the aura stop growing bigger.
"There its ready!" Raven look at Spike who had a nervous, scared look on his face. She gave a soothing smile to calm the dragon down. "Don't worry Spike. I promise this won't hurt." That got Spike to calm down as for he trusted Raven. "Now are you ready?" Spike nodded. As he stood with a brave courageous look. "Then here we go!"
Raven pointed her horn at Spike and shot him with the magic she gathered for her spell. Once he was struck the magic slowly encase his body inside a bubble, the bubble also began to harden once it fully formed, then moments later the harden interior began to crack until it exploded into dust that faded away after a few seconds.
Everyone eyes widen at none other than Spike, floating there with the use of his new angel wings and he still have his halo over his head.
"Spike!" Twilight called. Getting his attention.
"Hey Twi!" He turned to everyone else. "Hey guys!.....you all can hear me now, right?"
Everyone nodded tears were starting to leak from their eyes. As they were all so happy to see Spike again, they had no words to express it how they were feeling but their actions sure did.
All 12 members in Spike's Harem jump from their seats to meet with Spike who joined them in the center of the U table.
The second they were in range they shared the biggest, emotional, affectionate group hug they ever had. With Spike snuggled in the middle. Everyone in the hug cried tears of pure happiness, as the group of lovers were reunited once again.
"SPIKE!!!" The Harem of girls screamed out in joy.
"You're alive!" said Twilight.
"You've returned to us!" said Gabby.
"We miss you so, so much, darling!" said Rarity.
"I miss you all too!" Spike said as he enjoyed the familiar warmth of being cuddled by his harem.
Though it had only been a few weeks since Spike's death. It felt like years for the group of lovers. Each thinking that they would never be able be together like this for a very long time.
After a few more moments. Everyone broke the hug and wiped away their tears.
"It's so good to see Ya'll again, Spike!" Said Applejack.
"And your new wings look totally awesome!" Exclaimed Rainbow Dash.
"Thanks!" Said Spike. "Aris and Erin gave them to me," he turns to Pinkie pie. "And to answer your questions Pinkie Pie. I been doing great, thanks for the compliment, heaven is a wonderful place, and the new wings are what's in style up there." He finished.
Pinkie nodded. "Okie Doki loki!"
"You got to meet the twin Alicorn goddess sisters of heaven?" Asked Twilight.
"Heaven haves Styles?" Asked Rarity.
Spike nodded.
Rarity smiled and clap her hooves excitedly.
"Oooh, how lovely. If that's the case I would love to help bring in new styles for everycreature in heaven when I go there. (cough) Not anytime soon of course."
Everyone in the harem just rolled their eyes at Rarity's antics.
"Hey girls?" Smolder calls out getting her fellow herd mates' attention. "It's been a while since we last gave Spike his Good morning kisses. " Smolder smirk and each of the other girls smirked with her. All 12 of them staring at the cute, blushing dragon. "And I can't think of a better way to celebrate this happy reunion, can you."
"Enope!"
"Not at all, darling!"
The rest of the girls also couldn't think of anything better as they all started slowly surrounding the little dragon. Leaving no room for him to escape. He was completely trap.
Spike gulp. "O-ok girls!" He said nervously. "Let's not be to hasty."
Smolder rub her chin in deep thought. "Nah! GET HIM!" She screamed. With those words they all jumped on top of him and began to kiss his face all over. Normally these kissing sessions would take 30 seconds, but each girl took a turn give spike a sweet loving kiss on the lips as the rest continued kiss him as they waited their turn.
Everyone else in the room just sat and watch the adorable display of love. It was beautiful sight to see the group of lovers reunited once again. It made some cry at sweet scene before them.
Discord stared at the scene with both happiness and great nervousness. He was happy to see Spike again but was afraid to confront him. He knew that soon the two will have a much-needed talk about things and it scared Discord to his core to do so. It was hard for him just to face Twilight and her friends after Spike died to but face the drake himself was whole other story. He may know that Spike forgave him for everything but that doesn't make being face to face with the one he practically got killed any easier. He doesn't even know what to tell him.
"humph!"
Discord was torn from his thoughts when he heard Garble "huff" like something was bothering him. So, he decided to use this as a distraction from his thoughts and see what was wrong with the red dragon.
"Something wrong Garble?" Asked Discord.
Garble glance at Discord then turned his sights back to the group of lovers. "It's nothing!"
"Doesn't sound like nothing after that huff you gave!" Discord exclaimed. "Come on! What's on your mind?"
Garble took a few moments to decide rather to tell Discord his troubles or not and eventually came to a decision. "(sigh) I'm jealous of Spike." He answers.
That caught the draconequuss by surprise. "Jealous? Of what?"
"Of the fact that he's a 13-year-old dragon and he already haves 12 mates, TWELVE , and my sister is one of them." Garble let out a deep breath. "Now don't get me wrong I do like Spike and value our friendship. It just baffles me how he was able to capture the hearts of that many girls at such a young age, all. At. Once......I don't even have one mate and I'm way older than him and you're telling me that he's able to build a herd of 10 ponies, 1 griffon, and 1 dragon...........HOW? What the crag did he do? How is he so lucky? How many sit-ups did he do? How many push-ups? What kind of juice did he drink?"
"This has nothing to do with luck or poultry training. This is honest love, plain and simple."
"What do you mean?"
"If Cadance was here, she can explain it better than I can, but from what I can tell you is that Spike had spent a lot of time with each girl in his harem, getting to know them better and vice versa. Eventually he developed feelings for each of them and they in turn develop feelings for him. So, when Spike finally confess his love for them and why he loved each of them, they too confess their feelings and became his lovers. I'm sure Smolder told you as much."
Garble nodded. Discord was right, Smolder did tell her brother about why she loved Spike so much. Basically, Spike was just being himself and not trying at all to hide who he really is deep down. Unlike Garble who hides his soft side by acting mean and tough. He thought that maybe if he spends time with the other dragons and let them see more of who really is, then maybe just maybe.
Garble was brought out of his thoughts when he heard one of the girls speak.
Your reactions to kisses are still as adorable as I remembered, Spike." Gabby complimented.
Spike blushed. "Thanks, Gabby."
When the girls pulled away from the young drake after pecking him with multiple sweet little kisses, Spike was blushing a bright shade of red. They giggled at his lovestruck, adorable expression.
The girls back away from Spike, giving him room to recover after the "kiss barraged" they gave him.
Spike stood before the girls as he regained his composure. Once he did, he remembered something really important he wanted to tell everyone.
"Oh! I just remembered I got some exciting news to tell you all."
"What is it, Spike?" Asked Sweetie belle."
"Thanks to Aris and Erin, I got to meet my actual birth parents."
"GASP!!!!!" Everyone was shock at the news. It had been one of the biggest mysteries in the young Drake's life to know who his parents were but both Twilight and of course Celestia didn't have the answer. Celestia could only tell him that a dragon caught his egg after it shot up to the sky in front of him while he was flying. He tried to return the egg to its parents but he couldn't find hide or scale of them anywhere nearby. Lost on what to do he gave the egg to Celestia and that's how she ended up with the egg.
Everyone was happy that Spike was reunited with his family but seeing how he met them in heaven confirms that they been dead all this time. It was good that they never abandoned their son but was sad why they were separated in the first place.
"You met your parents," Twilight said sadly. "In heaven?"
Spike nodded. "Yeah, my dad's name is Tyson and my mom's name is Kimba."
Ember yelled as she shot up from her seat. "Did you say Tyson and Kimba?"
"Yeah!"
Ember eyes widen in shock, surprised at what the young drake just said. She stared down at Spike and looked at him in different light then before, as realization hit her and tears began to fall from her eyes, she then buried her face in her hands and started to sob.
Everyone in the room was silent as they all saw Ember crying. Ember has always been the type to hide her true feelings. Thorax knew this well the day the two first met and spoke about their problems as new rulers.
The first time anyone; especially Garble and Smolder, seen her cry like this was after Spike died. But something was different this time, this wasn't someone crying over the loss of a good friend but something more and whatever it is it obviously involves Spike.
"Ember?" Spike said softly as he flew up to meet his friend. "What's wrong? Did you know my parents?"
Ember slowly nodded then lowered her hands so see can look up at Spike who hovered before her. Pinkie Pie pulled a box a tissue from her mane and placed it on the table in front of The Dragon Lord. Who nodded her thanks to the pink mare as she took a few tissues and wiped her eyes?
With no real reason to sit in the middle of the U-Table. All of Spike's lovers returned to their seats.
Once they all were seated. Ember spoke. "Tyson and Kimba were my aunt and uncle." Spike eyes widen at what he just heard. "Aunt Kimba was my dad little sister. One day she asked us to come over to see her egg and when we got to the cave, they were living in we found it completely collapse under a mountain pile of rubble." There was a moment of silence. "My dad with his size dug through giant piles of rock very quickly only to find," more tears fell from ember eyes. T-to find." Once again Ember buried her face in her hands as she started crying again over the memory of losing her aunt and uncle.
Thorax patted the crying dragoness on the trying to help calm her down.
"Spike?" Applejack called out getting his attention. "Is that how Ya'll parents died."
Spike nodded. "Erin told me They were killed when the cliff beneath their cave gave way and my egg was sent airborne and was caught by another Dragon who happened to be passing by. He didn't know what to do with my egg. So, he flew to Canterlot and gave it to Celestia." He explained.
"It's true!" Celestia confirms. "One day a dragon came to the castle and gave me a dragon egg to take care of."
"But why give it to you?" Asked Scootaloo. "Why not give it to some other dragon?"
Garble spoke. "Because dragons mostly care about themselves and their own business back in those days.". He answers. "It was as I use to say Dragons don't do helping!
"It was every dragon for themselves!" Ember said somberly as she remembered her own words. "The dragon who caught Spike's egg may not wanted to take care of it but cared enough not to just abandon it and because of how dragons were no one would have wanted the egg. So, he gave it to the ponies because they do care." Ember sighs. "That explains why we couldn't find any trace of your egg. She said while wiping her eyes with another tissue. "My dad and I searched all over for it but couldn't find it. We assumed it was lost and shattered, another family member taken from us." Ember look up at Spike and smiled. "Only to learn that the cousin I never got meet was actually still alive all this time." Ember's smile slowly drops. "at least until three weeks ago." She said somberly with a hint of bitterness.
If Discord didn't feel horrible enough for his role that led to Spike's death he felt absolutely devastated after hearing that he pretty much killed the cousin of The Dragon Lord, who had long lost her aunt and uncle before. Sure, neither Spike or Ember knew they were related at the time but that doesn't make the draconequuss feel any better. Fluttershy notice Discord's discomfort and place a comforting hoof on his side. Discord looks down at his best friend and smiled, thanking her for being there for him.
"Now it only makes me even more furious at that bitch Chrysalis for the things she said about you." Ember said. Her sadness being replaced by pure anger and rage. "It was bad enough hearing her talk down my friend but now it's even worse now knowing she was talking shit about my cousin. Maybe I should go back into that dungeon and give her another beating."
Raven raised an eyebrow to that.
"No Cuz!" Spike said. "You guys did enough to Chrysalis already. She got what she deserved, any more is meaningless at this point."
Ember thought about her cousin words and realized he was right, then nodded her approval. "You're right Spike! There's no point in giving her another beating." Ember let out a deep sigh to calm herself. "I will never forgive her for killing you as well as the things she said about you but seeing her be punished after her sentencing is satisfying enough."
Raven silently scoff to herself. "Oh we'll see about that!" she thought.
"That reminds me their two people I need to talk to." Spike said. He looks to his right and saw Cozy Glow. When their eyes met, Cozy turned away. She was to upset with herself for what she had done to Spike and couldn't bear to look at him. Spike notice this flew towards her and landed on the table to stand before the young Pegasus still refusing to look at him.
"Cozy!" Spike called out in a gentle tone. "Can we talk?"
Cozy slowly lift her head to look at Spike. She felt a whole new wave of guilt wash over her as she looked at the little dragon whose life, she took part in ending. She teared up before crying as hard as Twilight and her friends did when they first found him terminally wounded.
"S-Sp-Spike," Cozy choked out. "I-I'm s-so sorry. Y-You didn't deserve this."
Spike felt sorry for her. Spike knew everything about Cozy mental illness from what he seen during his visits back here in the living world. He also heard about Cobalt's story about how she became evil in the first place and that seemed to only make him more determined to talk to Cozy. Fortunately, the princesses drop all charges against Cozy and help her recover and reform which made Spike very happy because she doesn't deserve any punishment after what she'd been through because of Tirek's manipulation. He also saw how all the students at Twilight's school forgave and welcome her back and thanks to Raven, he now haves a chance to do the same.
"Shhh," Spike soothed. "I know, Cozy. I know why you're the way you are. I forgive you."
Cozy's sadness was replaced with surprise.
"What? B-But why???" she stammered.
"Because Cozy, you and I have a lot more in common that you think," Spike explained. We were both outcasts from society, and we were both taken advantage of. Yes, I too was manipulated by someone as well. He was a Dragon too and his name was Sludge. Smolder and I were on a walk around Ponyville when he suddenly crashes landed in front of us. He said he was okay, but I knew better than that. With Smolder's help we took him back to the castle and got him the medical care he needed there. Before he headed back to the Dragon Lands, however, he dropped a giant bombshell that no one expected: He came to Ponyville looking for me . He claimed that he was my father and had gone through a lot of trouble to find me, but as it turned out it was all a big trick just so he could live in the castle and be waited on hand and foot. I was devastated at first, but I realized that I had my true family, Twilight, was with me all this time. How Sludge took manipulated the fact I was an orphan was bad, but how Tirek manipulated the fact that you lost a friend and that you were mentally ill is 100 times worse. I'm sorry we didn't, I didn't, think twice about sending you to Tartarus. It seemed sending you down there only seemed to push you further toward the edge and for that I am sorry and I'm glad the charges against you were drop and you got a second chance to be better."
Cozy gawked at Spike in dumbfounded amazement. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. The kid who she had killed was forgiving her. She didn't know what to say.
"I-I'm-I'm speechless. Thank you, Spike," Cozy sputtered. She teared up again, but this time it was out of happiness. "How could I ever repay you?"
"Just promise me you'll be better from now on. I know things were tough for you back then, but I promise you, it will get better," Spike said, his emerald eyes meeting Cozy's scarlet eyes.
Cozy smiled. "I promise, no I Pinkie promise to do better from here on out. Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." She said as she went through the motions.
Cobalt padded Cozy on the back congratulating her. He was so proud of how far she had come and was very happy for her.
Spike spoke. "I wish I could introduce you, all of you, to my parents. They usually join me when I come back to see you guys but they're still back in heaven."
"Why didn't they join you today?" Asked Cobalt.
"Poker Day with two of their friends." Spike said. "Two married earth ponies named Bright Mac and Pear Butter. "
Applejack yelled in surprise. "Bright Mac and Pear Butter are my and Applebloom's parents."
That caught everyone by surprise, at least the ones who didn't know about the story of AJ's Parents.
"Huh? I thought those names sounded familiar but I was so focus on coming here I didn't think much on it." Spike said. "I wish I could tell you more about them AJ but I never met them and I left long before they arrived at my parents' house."
"That's alright Spike, I'm just glad to hear that they're doing ok." Said Applejack.
"I wonder how their poker game is going?" Rainbow asked.
(Heaven, Kimba and Tyson's house)
"Alright I'm all in." Said Bright Mac. Pushing all his chips to the center of the table.
"(sigh) I fold!" Said Pear Butter.
"I fold too!" Said Tyson.
"Not me!" Said Kimba. Pushing her stacks of chips to the center of the table. "I'm all in!"
Bright Mac glares at Kimba suspiciously, who only glares at him smugly.
"Alright then let's see if you can beat this." Bright Mac flips his last card. "3 of a kind, beat that." He said smugly.
"Oh dear! How could I ever beat that." Kimba pick up her final card, held it up in the air and slammed it down on the table while screaming.
"Oh that's how. With a Royal Straight Flush, I Win."
Bright Mac eye twitch as he looks down at Kimba's cards, showing that he lost. He slumps back in his chair in defeat just as Kimba grab all of the chips and pull them towards her.
Pear Butter reach out and patted her husband on the back. "Cheer up, dear it's not like we're betting anything. This is all in good fun." She said sweetly.
Bright Mac sighed. "I know! I just hate losing is all." He sits back up and look toward Kimba with great determination. "But I'll win the next round, Kimba, you'll see."
Kimba smirk. "Bring it on Bright, bring it on." She spoke.
Everyone laughed as they got started to start another game.
(Canterlot Castle, Conference Room)
"No doubt things are going great." Spike said. "I'll tell you all more about my parents later but now there's one more person I need to talk to."
Now that Spike was done speaking with Cozy Glow there was only one more person he needed to talk to, Discord. Spike flew up in the air and made his way towards the draconequus and like Cozy before him he too couldn't look Spike in the eye as he reverted back to his downtrodden state.
Though he couldn't see Spike, he could clearly hear his wings flapping as he got closer. It wasn't long until he heard Spike's small feet touch down on the table before him.
"Discord?"
This was it, the moment he never thought would come but Raven somehow made it possible. As scared as he is to face the young drake. Discord gathered all his courage, let out a deep breath, and raise his head to look at the revived drake before him.
"Hello Spike." Discord said somberly. "It's great to see you again."
"Great to see you too." Said Spike.
There was awkward moment of silence before Spike tried to speak again but Discord cut him off as he screamed out.
"I'M SORRY!!!!!" he yelled with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry that you died because of my plan. I truly thought I had everything under control. I didn't know those three had the bell the whole time. It was just supposed be a simple plan that helped all those involved." Discord lowered his head. "It wasn't supposed to end like this and my mistake caused you your life." Discord looks up at Spike once again. "I'm so, so sorry Spike." He said sadly. "For costing you to sacrifice everything just to save everyone. It wasn't supposed to be this way."
Silence. That all there was after Discord's apology. Time seemed to stand still as everyone waited to hear what Spike was going to say next.
After a few moments Spike took a deep breath and exhaled before speaking. "I know the girls told you this already Discord but now I'm going to tell you directly. So, listen and listen good." Spike clears his throat and simply said. "I forgive you." Discord had heard those words many times from many different creatures. He knew that Spike forgave him for what happened after Twilight and her friends told him as much but hearing those words come from the drake himself. Felt like an extremely heavy weight had lifted off his shoulders.
"It's may be true that you mess up by going through with your plan but I know you only had "good intentions" in mind,"
"Good intentions, my ass!" Raven thought as she just sat there watching everything and keeping to herself. Not wanting to make a scene or interrupt anything.
Spike continues. "I know things ended badly and you wish they hadn't but focus on the good that did come out of it. Take Cozy for example. If you haven't done what you did, she would still be lock away in Tartarus."
"No she wouldn't!" Raven thought to herself.
"She would have never got a second chance."
"Yes she would of!"
"And it's all thanks to you that she's able to live a good life this time and is now surrounded by friends who she her as family."
"No its not!"
"And although it's still tragic that I died. In exchange I got to meet my real parents. Who've been watching over me for 13 years. I can't describe how happy they were when they were reunited with me. Now, I have an actual family and they're saying how much they've been proud of me for the choices I've made, as well as convincing them, in forgiving both you and Cozy Glow." Spike gave a cheerful Smile. "So don't blame yourself,"
"He should!"
"What happened is not your fault!"
"It is!"
"You didn't know that you were going to be betrayed."
"Bullshit!"
"You need to learn to forgive yourself and move on and know that you'll always be my friend Discord, no matter what."
"Oh we'll see about that!"
Spike spread his arms offering Discord a hug. The Draconequuss who was now crying tears of joy from hearing Spike's speech. Accepted the hug. The two guy friends hug it out as everycreature in the room (except Raven) clap and cheered for the two.
Twilight felt tears of pure joy welling up in her eyes. Spike was a kinder soul than anyone could've ever imagined. Everyone else, even Luna and Celestia, teared up with joy as well. (except for Raven)
"Thank you, Spike." The two broke their hug. "For everything!" Discord said.
"No probs, pal." Said Spike.
"Spike," Twilight calls out. Getting her lover attention. "You don't know how proud I am of you."
"Aw, come on, Twilight," Spike said. "I'm just doing what everyone should do."
"The key word is "should", sweetie pie," Rarity spoke up. "There are many people who would reject Discord in a heartbeat because unlike us, they'd only notice his flaws but they'd never notice his pain and how truly."
"And by many she means 1 and I wonder who that could be." Smolder said as she glared at the "one" in question.
Everyone else also turned to look at the one Smolder was talking about. As they all knew instantly who it was.
Soon all eyes were on Raven Inkwell. Who just sat there silently with a neutral look on her face.
"You been here since the start of this meeting, right Spike?" Asked Smolder.
Spike simply nodded, while still looking at Raven.
"Then I don't have to explain things. You already know that she doesn't respect your final wish to forgive Discord but instead wants revenge for your death and see him punish." Smolder explained.
"And it seems she'll stop at nothing to see it happened." Said Rainbow.
Spike sighed. He knew about Raven's plan to see Discord punish since earlier today in the throne room when he heard how she plans to defend Chrysalis and Tirek in court. He doesn't blame the Princesses for going through with the whole thing, he understands that it is their duty to do so. But seeing how Raven just cast aside his final wish like it was nothing for the sake of vengeance made him feel sorry for her. He knows she's hurting but that doesn't mean this was the best course of action and he must stop this mess here and now. It's not too late.
"Well, that ends today," Spike said. "Just let me talk to her. Its best it she hears it from me." He said. He then hops into the air and flew towards the glasses wearing unicorn.
Raven took a moment to let out a deep breath and adjust her glasses. She knew this moment would come, the second she brought Spike back. So, she just sat there. Calm and collected as the inevitable conversation between 2 assistants came forth.
Unlike Cozy and Discord before her. Raven did not break eye contact with the purple dragon as he made his way to her and soon touch down on the table, standing directly before her.
The two stared at each other as if they were having the worlds must intense staring contest. Everyone else watch with great anticipation as they waited for one of them to make the first move. The silence was finally broken when Spike spoke first.
"Raven!"
"Spike!"
"You know I have much I want to say about this whole thing about you wanting to punish Discord."
Raven simply nodded. "I know!"
Spike sighed. "But before all that. I just want to say thank you for bringing me back." He said with a smile.
Raven smiled too. "You're welcome, Spike."
Spike rub the back of his head. "I'm guessing theirs a time limit to how long I can remain like this huh?"
"Seven days. After that you will go back to being a ghost once more and can't be seen or heard by anyone, unless," Raven adjusted her glasses. "They have enchanted specs to at least see you and I can only perform the spell once per spirit, so once your time expires, I can't cast it on you again."
Spike let out another sigh. He knew it was all too good to be true for him to remain like this but he expected it. Now he knows he have to use what time he haves left to the fullest and make every second count.
"Hey Raven if it not much trouble, do you think you can cast that spell on my parents?" Spike asked.
"Can you do the same for both Applebloom and I?" Asked Applejack. "I know we're on opposing sides in this debate but I'm willing to put all that aside for now just to ask ya this one favor. Please ah'll do anything to see them again and for Applebloom to actually get to know them, if'in their a chance it can happen."
Raven spoke. "The spell I used takes a lot of magic to pull off. I'm fortunate to have an above average magic reserve. Though nowhere near as great as Twilight's or Starlight's. It will be difficult for me to do it again anytime soon, but with just Twilight and Starlight's help its definitely possible. All I need is for them to be here so I can cast the spell." Raven assured. "Spike can still go back to heaven, so all he has to do is bring them here." She finished.
Applebloom couldn't believe what she just heard. After all this time of simply seeing pictures and hearing stories about them.
"I'm actually going to meet ma parents?" Applebloom said as as tears started well up in her eyes.
Raven nodded. "Yes Applebloom, you'll finally get meet your parents."
Those words were all that needed to be said for dam in the young Apples eyes to burst as a waterfall of tears fell from them
As the young earth pony filly started to cry, not in sadness but of great overwhelming joy. Her two bestest friends hug her as they to were happy for her. The same was said about Applejack as both Rarity and Rainbow Dash gave her a hug as well.
Spike watched the scene before him with great warmth in his heart before turning back to Raven. All thoughts about her punishing Discord were push aside........for now.
"Wow Raven that's very kind of you to do that for them."
Raven shrugged. "It's no big deal. I'm happy to help."
"Still, I wish there was something I could do to thanked you for bringing me back to life as well both mines and AJ's Parents."
Raven smiled. Though it looks very predatory. "Oh, I know just the thing you can give me." She said caressing Spike's cheek with a hoof and making him blush. "Just one simple little thing."
Spike gulps. "A-and what would that be?" He asked nervously.
She pulls him in close. "How about you give ME a kiss,"
"W-what!"
"My sweet." And closer.
"Raven!"
"Little." And closer.
"Wait"
"Purple Bear "
"What about the- mmmph"
Spike face instantly turned as red as Big Macs and eyes widen to the size of dinner plates. When Raven lock lips with his kissing him so lovingly. Holding him in place as she grips his head in both her hooves. While making out with the handsome drake.
The 12 members of Spike's harem of lovers stared blankly with wide eyes and mouth agape at the sultry display for they could not believe what they were seeing right now. The sweet moment of the two Apple siblings getting to see their parents again was replace with confusion and shock. Everyone in the room couldn't help but stare as Raven made out with Spike. Not caring at all that she was being watched and Spike was to out of it to care.
Garble was just as shock as the girls in Spike's harem but for a completely different reason as he watch Spike being kiss by another mare.
Loud sloppy kissing noises. *SMACK* *SMACK* *SMACK* Raven breaks the kiss. "Awww, mmmm, you still taste as good as I remembered," she licks the side of Spike's face. "And still just as sweet, ahhh, mmph." Raven went from just kissing Spike's lips, to using her tongue to open his mouth and swirl it around the inside as the two-tongue wrestle each other and Raven was winning, no contest.
As Raven kept sloppily making out with Spike. Garble couldn't help but voice his thoughts on the matter.
"13!" He said. "Thir-freaking-teen. Just how many girls are in his harem." Garble turned to his sister. "Smolder? Why didn't you say there was a thirteenth member?" Smolder said nothing. She just sat there staring at what was happening before her in a stunned state just like the rest of her herd mates. "Uhhhh, Sis." Garble shakes her a little. no response. "Hellooooo!" He waves a hand in front of her face. Still no response. *SNAP* *SNAP* "Snap out of it!" Still no response.
"I don't think any of them knew Spike had a thirteenth member." Said Gallus. Looking at all 12 original members all in the same stunned state. "Or else they wouldn't be reacting like this."
"So, like what! You're saying that Spike kept his relationship with Raven a secret? Why?" Asked Garble.
Gallus shrugs. "I don't know! Why don't you ask him."
Garble turned back to the scene only to see Raven licking the hell out of Spike's face like a dog.
"My goodness that mare is thirsty for that dragon." Said Luna.
"I hope she doesn't start mating with him on the table." Said Celestia.
"If that happens, I'm walking out that door." Said Garble.
*BANG!*
The sound of Spike being slammed on the table echoed throughout the room. There he laid on his back as Raven quickly climbed up and stood over the still stunned dragon. Licking her lips, Raven took advantaged of Spike's stunned state and opened his agape mouth to grab his tongue with her magic and gently pulled it out, she then leaned in and took his whole tongue in her mouth and started bobbing her head up down as she sucked on it making loud rapid slurping noises as she does so.
*SLURP* *SLURP* *SLURP * *SLURP*
Even though his brain was muddled right now. Spike was able to produce one important coherent thought. "Thank Faust my parents had a poker game today with their friends back in heaven!"
Garble back out of his seat. "I'M OUT!" and made his way to the door. "I'll be outside. Call me once they're done screwing each other brains out." He said as he opened the door step into the hall and closed the door.
Everyone else just continued to watch as Raven suck off Spike's tounge.
*SLURP* *SLURP* *SLURP* *SLURP*
Afraid that Raven might actually go too far. Celestia shot up from her seat and bellowed.
"MERCIFUL FAUST RAVEN! ARE YOU NOT GONNA STOP UNTIL YOU COMPLETELY DEVOUR HIS ENTIRE HEAD!" She yelled. "PLEASE STOP BEFORE YOU TURN THIS MEETING INTO A SEX SHOW!"
After hearing that. Raven once again broke her kiss with Spike with only strings of saliva connecting both their mouths together. She really didn't want to stop but there was still important business to take care of so needed to stop. She was more than satisfied with what she got from the young Drake.
Raven use her magic to make a couple of rags appear and use them to clean both herself and Spike until they were both no longer covered in spit. She then sat the still stunned Spike on his rump on the table facing everyone else. Boy did he look like he died and gone to heaven.......Again.
Raven gave Spike one last sweet gentle kiss on the cheek and said loud enough for everyone to hear. "I love you!" She then climbed back off the table and sat back down in her seat, she made the soak rags disappear, adjusted her glasses and put on her professional composure once again before speaking.
"(cough) my apologies everycreature!" Raven said. "I kind of lost control there for a bit."
"A bit!" Exclaimed Luna. In disbelief at what Raven just said. "Raven? You were just sucking the hell out of Spike's face. If Celestia hadn't stop you. You probably would have mounted him right then and there."
"I assure you Princess Luna that was not going to happen. I just wanted a little kiss is all."
"You call sucking off his tongue a little kiss." Luna argued.
Raven shrugged. "Look I know you all have a lot of questions about what you just witness and things to say. So, let's just address the elephant in the room. Which reminds me. YOU CAN COME BACK IN NOW MR. GARBLE. I'M DONE SCREWING SPIKE'S BRAINS OUT."
Garble re-entered the room and sat back down in his seat.
Raven continues. "Now its best we get these questions I know you all have out of the way before we resumed the meeting. So does anyone have anything they want to say."
An orange dragon raised her hand.
"Yes Ms. Smolder!"
And she said the first thing that came to her mind that perfectly sums up what she and everyone else just witness.
"What......the FUCK.......WAS THAT!!!!!"
To be Continued.
OBJECTION!!!!! Spike's Sacrifice was completely Unnecessary
"What.......THE FUCK........WAS THAT!!!!!!" Smolder yelled in fury.
“Indeed,” Said Rarity in anger. “just what the HELL! Do you think you're doing kissing our Drake like that? You, you hussy!”
Raven wasn't at all bothered nor flinch at the sudden outbursts as it was to be expected after all and she knew she had a lot of explaining to do on her part. Though everyone's eyes were lock on to her. It was the burning fury in the eyes of Spike’s herdmates that she was focus on. For every one of them glared at Raven, who just sat there with a smug grin.
“Your Drake? What ever do you mean? Raven asked in mock confusion. “I was just giving my sweet little Purple bear a kiss. No different than what the rest of you did earlier.”
Rainbow spoke. “Except our kisses are sweet and tender. You were just sucking the hell out of his FACE!”
“And for your information! He IS our Drake. All 12 of us.” Rarity said. She was absolutely furious and disgusted at what she saw Raven do to sweet, innocent, Spikey Wikey. ”I can't believe what you just did to him in front of us all you no good skank. Why If I wasn't a lady,” Rarity sits up and put up her dukes.
“I WOULD COME OVER THERE AND SHOW THAT THESE HOOVES AREN'T AS DAINTY AS EVERYONE THINKS THEY ARE!”
Everyone was surprised to see Rarity act that way. It wasn't a surprise for Twilight, Rainbow, and of course Garble. Back when they all first met. But it's still surprising to see Rarity, willing to resort to violence. Even as a last resort.
Raven adjusted her glasses. “It's not like this was the first time we shared such a hot kiss. Purple bear and I have done this many times.” She said with a mischievous grin.
“What the hay is that supposed to mean?” AJ asked. “I thought you two were just friends?”
“It means exactly what you think it means, Applejack?” Raven smirk. “You 12 didn't think you were the only ones, Purple Bear secretly admired, did you?”
Now that really caught the other herdmates by surprise. As they all stared at the glasses wearing Unicorn in shock.
“That’s riiight!” Raven sang. She then used her magic to pull the still frozen in shock, Spike. Closer to her and hug him tight in her forelegs. “I’m Spike’s 13th Admire.”
All 12 herdmates jaws drop after hearing that. For they didn't know anything about Spike loving Raven, for he never told them. Which only made them question if Raven is telling the truth or not. Kiss or no kiss.
“YOU'RE LYING!” Yelled Rarity.
“Spike never said anything about a 13th admire.” Said Smolder. “He would have told us if he did.”
“Which means you just forced yourself on him. Like some no-good harlot!” Exclaimed Rarity.
Raven raised an eyebrow at that. It hurt that Rarity would accuse her of doing such a thing but doesn't hold it against her. For she was just looking out for her mate. Nothing more. Plus, it's not hers or any of the girl's fault for not knowing about her and Spike’s relationship. After all she was the one who told him to keep it secret and now, she's the one who has to prove it to them.
Raven lets go of Spike and sat him back down on the table. She then adjusted her glasses and sighed. “I admit. It wounds me that you would think that I would do such a thing Ms. Rarity. But I don't blame you. My actions earlier leave little room to say differently without some kind of proof and for that I am sorry but do understand that I am not that kind of pony and would never think of doing such a thing to anyone without their consent.”
Rarity calmed herself down after hearing Raven’s apology and explanation. She hated herself for letting her emotions get the better of her. While Raven remained calm and collected. Now she just feels just awful.
Rarity clears her throat. “Well! I to apologize for my rudeness as well as the things I said Ms. Inkwell. I jumped to conclusions and offended you greatly. Again, I am sorry.”
Raven waves a dismissive hoof. “All water under the bridge. As I said before I can't blame you. “I knew things would come to this. Long before I spoke to the princesses about Discord. So, I came prepared.” Raven said as she uses her magic to pick something up, but not reveal what it is just yet. “As I mentioned earlier. Thanks to my glasses, I’ve been seeing Spike as well as his parents since the funeral and by the way he would constantly visit. There was a high chance he would be here today.” Raven took a quick glance at the still frozen in shock dragon, sitting before her. “As you can see, I was right.” Raven raised up the item she held in her magic. “And here's evidence to prove that I am, in fact Spike’s 13th admirer,
Raven toss the evidence in question towards Rarity. Who caught it in her magic and held it up for all to see?
She along with her fellow herd mates. Eyes widen in shock, for when they saw the item in questioned and instantly recognize it the second they saw it.
“That’s right girls. That envelope is the exact same brand, Spike been using to secretly deliver love letters to everyone of his secret admirers.” Raven said with a smirk.
Fluttershy spoke. “Then you were telling the truth?”
Raven nodded. “Indeed, I was. I been getting letters around the same time you all were, and Purple Bear confess to me not long after he was fully healed, after his incident when you all found out he was the secret admirer and then confess to you all.” Raven let out a sweet sigh as she remembered the day Spike first confess to her and shared the story with everyone. “It was three months ago. Once he was fully healed from his injuries from when you all found out he was the secret admirer. He came to Canterlot to confess to me like he did for all of you........Except I kind of spoiled the surprise by telling him that I already knew he was my secret admirer all along.”
“Wait!? You knew Spike was your secret admirer before he confess?” Asked Scootaloo.
Raven nodded. “Yep, I did! Though I admit. I didn't know right off the bat. But I did do a little investigating. Emphasis on the word *little* because Purple Bear is terrible at covering his tracks. It didn't take much to figure out that the letters were being sent to me from Ponyville and the second I figured that out, I knew It either had to be him or Twilight.”
That caught Twilight by surprise. “You suspected me of being your secret admirer?”
“Of course! You and Spike are the only ones I really know in Ponyville and I usually only visit to do business with Mayor Mare and few times just for fun. Like coming to town every Nightmare Night. So, I never spend enough time there for anyone to get to know me enough, let alone know my address. I have been visiting Ponyville a lot more after Purple Bear and I started dating.” Raven chuckled. “I remembered all our fond memories. Like when he introduced me to his fake dad.”
Memory (Raven meets Sludge)
Raven laugh. “Haha, I knew he couldn't possibly be Purple Bear’s real father. Especially after hearing that bogus story about how he lost Spike’s egg, HA! That made my day. So good on you Smolder for helping expose that faker.
“Oh, umm, thanks! It was no big deal really.” Said Smolder.
Raven sighed. “I would have done it myself, but I had a train to catch and was needed back to Canterlot after I finish my business with Mayor Mare and only had just enough spare time for a quick meeting.” Raven shrugged. “Although it is rather funny that both he and Spike do have one thing in common. They're both terrible at covering their tracks when it comes to trying to throw people off their trail, both couldn't hide a secret of their own to save their lives. Which is why they were both so easy to expose.”
“And how the hay was Spike easy to expose?” Asked Rainbow.
Raven gave Rainbow a quizzical look. “Seriously!? How the hay did you guys not figure it out? Like I said, Purple Bear is terrible at covering his tracks. He left behind clues that made it obvious it was him. For me it was as simple as just finding the shop where he bought the envelopes and speaking to the owner and I know all about your visit to the same shop, Rainbow Dash. Purple bear told me about your investigation into the matter and even with the evidence and clues you had before you. You idiots still couldn't see how obvious that Spike was the admirer the whole time.”
“Oh yeah, then how about you prove to us, how exactly we could have known?” Asked Smolder.
Raven grin at that. “Alright Ms. Smolder. I’ll explain to you all, exactly how easy you could of figure out that Mr. The Dragon was the secret admirer, and it won't take much effort, no need to bring my “A” game into this.”
That got the crowd confused.
“Your “A” game!? What that's supposed to mean?” Asked Smolder.
Raven adjusted her glasses. “That’s not important right now.” Raven look at the others with a sinister look. “But you will learn about it eventually.” Celestia gulp at that, for only she knew the full extent to what Raven is talking about. “Now from what I was told, Rainbow Dash was the one the who found the shop that sold the exact envelopes, is that correct Ms. Dash?”
Rainbow nodded.
“Can you repeat everything you said when you told the others what you learned?”
Rainbow took a moment to remember that day and what she said. “I walked into a shop, and I saw that the store was selling the same kind of envelopes and letters that we've been getting," Rainbow explained. "I went to the clerk and explained to him what the situation was, and he told me that someone usually stops by there to pick up cards and occasionally gifts for all of us. When I asked him what the creature looked like, he told me that it was a boy, but couldn't tell what species he was because of what he always wore when he came in there. The clerk claimed that the dude was short but had the ability to fly. He wore a tan trench coat, a grey top hat, and red-rimmed sunglasses. The clerk also said that he stops in there once a week. The last time he stopped by there was the day before."
"And I remember saying that neither of us don't know anyone who looks like that," Applejack said.
The other 11 herdmates nodded, agreeing with the cowpony mare, until.
That sudden outburst scared the hell out of everyone in the room. The only one unphased by it was Celestia. After all its a common occurrence that happens during trials and still to this day she doesn't know why.
“Mother of Luna, what the hell was that?” Yelled Rainbow.
Raven just ignored her and focus her attention on Applejack.
(Raven)
“I’m afraid you’re wrong Ms. Apple. At least somewhat.”
Applejack raised an eyebrow at that. “What the hay do you mean, ah was wrong? I never seen anyone dress like that before.”
(Raven)
“As I said, you're somewhat right. For its true that a lot of you never seen anyone dress like that,
but Seven of you did!”
That exclamation surprised everyone.
Raven continues. “And I’m not going tell you who these seven are. I’ll show you who they are as well as show exactly when they seen a creature dress up in the exact outfit, Ms. Dash described.”
“How are you going to do that?” Asked Ocellus.
“With a simple memory spell, I know. All I need is Mr. The Dragon, cooperation!”
Spike, who been sitting there on the table in front of Raven was shock to hear Raven point him out. Not knowing how he could help.
“You need my help?” Spike asked.
Raven nodded. “That’s correct! I need you to remember two certain events. When you do, I’ll cast the spell and two memory screens will appear above you, for all of us to see,” Raven adjust her glasses. “And with the memories coming straight from you, will be enough evidence to prove my claim. Evidence is everything in the court of law after all.”
“Court of law!?” Rainbow said with confusion. “Since when the hay did this meeting turn into a trial?”
Raven smirk. “It's not but think of it as a tiny demonstration to the real trial to come.”
That got everyone confused. Besides Spike and the princesses, the rest of the group aren't aware of the full details of Discord’s trial yet and the only one who knows more about Raven previous job, as well as seen her in action is, Celestia. The Sun Princess quickly thought about, Silver Wing from earlier. She remembered how scared he was and how difficult it was for him, just to say Raven’s name. Signs she recognized the instant she saw them. Raven clearly had some kind of debate with the Pegasus guard and like many other debates before, leaves the recipient in a sorry state afterwards. Though it doesn't seem as though Raven haves no intention of going all out with this little skirmish. Celestia still feel scared for the others when Raven starts getting serious.
Raven turns her attention to Spike. “Alright, Mr. The Dragon, as I mentioned earlier, I need you to remember two certain events in your past.”
“Ok!” Spike doesn't know why Raven started calling him “Mr. The Dragon” but he didn't really mind.
“First think back to the day when you first met Thorax? Specifically, the train ride to the crystal empire.”
Spike nodded, closed his eyes, and thought back to that day. The second he remembered the train ride, his eyes shot open at the memory, he wanted to say something but before he could, he was hit in the forehead by beam, shot from Raven’s horn and a big screen appeared above him.
“Very good, Spike! Now I need you to remember the day you started to molt, more specifically when you were sitting on the bridge, in front of the Friendship school main entrance.”
It wasn't that long ago when Spike experience, dragon molting. So, the memory was still pretty clear. His eyes widen in shock at the memory and once again he felt another beam hit his forehead, and a second screen appeared above him.
“There, all done! Now all there's left to do is watch them.” Raven said gesturing to the screens. “Now pay close attention everyone and you will see the seven creatures that clearly saw someone wearing a tan trench coat, a grey top hat, and red-rimmed sunglasses.”
Spike wanted to speak out, but before he could, Raven’s horn glowed, and the first screen began to play.
After the video ended, Raven used her magic to make the first screen disappear. Leaving only the second one.
“Now for the second memory.” Without missing a beat, Raven started the second memory.
(Focus on the first 56 seconds of the video then skip to 1:50 mark and stop when Spike burn his clothes or watch the whole thing if you want. I don't give a buck )
After the last 3 creatures were shown. Raven immediately got rid of the screen, she then adjusted her glasses with a satisfying smirk, as she stared at the shock faces of the five herdmates. Who clearly just realized their own folly?
“Not only did these seven see someone dressed up in this disguise.” Raven grin. “They also knew right away that it was Spike wearing that outfit.” Raven chuckled. “With that said and with the clear evidence provided that proves without a doubt that five out of the original twelve herd members did in fact see someone that fit 99% of the store clerk description of the creature visiting his shop.
(Raven)
Then why didn't Twilight, Starlight, Rarity, Pinkie or Smolder speak up about it,
WHEN THEY EACH SAW SPIKE WEARING THE SAME EXACT OUTFIT, THAT RAINBOW DESCRIBED TO THEM!”
That accusation hit the five in question as if a strong sudden gust of wind from nowhere, blew at them as an attempt to knock them over.
The five couldn't deny Raven’s claim. When they each saw the memory of them seeing Spike wearing a tan trench coat, a grey top hat, and red-rimmed sunglasses. They to remembered the same exact day they each saw him in that outfit.
Raven continues.
(Raven)
“The clerk claimed that the guy was short but had the ability to fly. He wore a tan trench coat, a grey top hat, and red-rimmed sunglasses. The only difference between the Spike in the memory and the Spike now is that he didn't have his wings yet, but that doesn't excuse anything since you all know he can fly now. Hell, the second memory literally takes place on the day he does gets his wings. So I’ll ask again, Twilight, Starlight, Rarity, Pinkie, and Smolder. Why didn't any of you say anything?”
The five in questioned took quick glances at each other before rubbing the back of their heads nervously. Despite not discussing it, they each said the exact same thing as they gave Raven their answer.
“I guess we forgot!”
Raven left eye twitch. “You forgot!? That's the best reason you can come up with?”
Twilight spoke. “Me and Starlight only saw Spike in that outfit once and that was two years ago.”
“And although it was more recent. I can understand both Ms. Pie and Ms. Smolder reasoning for forgetting for they didn't see him wearing it for that long, but Ms. Rarity did! The memory showing her proves as much.” Raven sighed. “Whatever! If you five want to say you forgot, that’s fine by me, because there's two more far better ways that helps in proving that Spike was the secret admirer. Without a doubt.”
“And what exactly are these ways you speak of?” Asked Rainbow.
“Let's start with the simple one, shall we.... Princess Luna!” Raven calls out.
“Yes!”
“You're a smart mare, yes?”
Luna raised an eyebrow. “I’m pretty intelligent in my own right!”
“Then tell me,” Raven’s horn glows and a large still image of Spike and Rarity appears in the center of the room for all to see.
“Do you know who that is, standing in front of Ms. Rarity?”
“It’s Spike!” Luna answers.
Raven raised a questioning eyebrow. “Are you sure?”
“Of course, I’m sure!”
“How exactly? He’s wearing a disguise. Not only that, but I don't think you seen Spike as many times as everyone else here in this room.”
“Is that a trick question? Even with that outfit on, I seen Spike more than enough times to recognize his obvious feature, that are clearly sticking out.” Luna elaborates. “His purple scales and tail are a dead giveaway.”
“So, what you're saying is that despite the few times you seen Mr. The Dragon. You can still recognize him instantly when he’s wearing that get up?”
“Of course! His body not even pony shape and he’s standing on two legs, instead of four.” Luna explained. “Heck, anybody who knows Spike for a long period of time could instantly tell that's him. As I said earlier there are many important features sticking out of his disguise that clearly doesn't resembles a pony’s. One look from anyone who knows him would recognize him in a heartbeat.”
Raven adjusted her glasses. “Is what you just said is true, Princess Luna......Then why didn't Twilight or any of the twelve herd members recognize Spike when they saw him entering and leaving the shop they were staking out?”
That question caught Luna as well as the other herdmates off guard. For none of them knew the answer.
“As you mentioned. Mr. The Dragon disguise wasn't a good one at all. Way too many of his own unique features were sticking out like a sore hoof. Completely unmissable. We even saw that Twilight, Starlight, Rarity, Pinkie, and Smolder. Each recognize Spike the instant they saw him in that outfit,no problem, but for some reason they or any of their fellow herdmates didn't recognize him at all the last time he was wearing it!?” Slams one hoof on table. “There’s no way that’s possible, unless.”Raven turns her attention to Spike. “Mr. The Dragon!?”
“Y-yes, Raven!”
“Did you by any chance, had your disguise magically enchanted, so nobody can recognize you while wearing it? And be honest, please.”
Spike; still sitting on the table in front of Raven. Look down in distraught and shook his head. “No!” He answers.
Raven raised an eyebrow. “No!? So, you didn't do anything to it, didn't asked another unicorn or Zecora or even your homies, Discord and Thorax, to work their magic on it?”
Spike just shook his head.
“So, what you're saying, is that instead of dawning a completely brand new and more, better disguise. Maybe one that can hide your all your obvious features from sticking out. You instead decided to wear the same exact outfit, which some of your friends have seen you in before as well as KNEW it was you wearing it and if they could tell then anypony in ponyville could as well and I can prove it.” Using her magic. Raven lifted a piece a paper from the stacks and gave it to Spike.
Holding it, Spike look at sheet. Their is a picture of him in his disguise, attached to the top of the sheet via paperclip. Lifting up so he can properly read the title. Which said,
WHO’S THAT CREATURE?
And underneath that are a list of names and beside each one them is a long list of the word *Spike* being repeated over and over again.
Raven speaks. “A couple weeks ago. I paid Ponyville a visit and set up a little booth in the market area.” Raven adjusts her glasses. “I would asked anypony passing by to simply guess who this creature is, write down their name and answer, and as you can clearly see there are a hundred names on that list and each one answered, Spike.”
The room was silent. Nobody said a word.
Raven continues. “I also learned that the shop you would always go to, to buy your envelopes and gifts. Had just opened its doors. A little over three months before you were finally exposed as the secret admirer.”
“Three months!” Ocellus exclaims. “But that’s how long, Smolder and the others been getting their letters.”
Raven nodded. “That’s correct and with the store being brand new at the time. The owner was also new to Ponyville and had just moved there.”
Ocellus gasped. “Which would explain his vague description of Spike.”
"Well, he was a rather short fellow, but he did have the ability to fly. He wore a tan trench coat, a grey hat, and red-rimmed sunglasses," the clerk relayed. "He actually comes by my store to pick up the same envelopes. He also gets several bouquets of roses and heart-shaped boxes of chocolate. He's very polite and kind, but at the same time is quiet and tries to blend in with his surroundings. He usually comes by once a week."
-Store owner.
“He was new in town and didn't know who Spike is. So he must of thought he was a pony and never once in the three months he visited his store, did the owner look too closely to notice that Spike wasn't even pony shape and walk on two legs instead of four.” Ocellus explained.
Raven nodded. “You are correct Ms. Ocellus. That stallion was indeed new in town at the time and didn't know Spike, let alone seen him without his disguise. It may be a small town but Ponyville isn't that small. But,” Raven leans up against the table, resting her chin on one hoof and waving the other. Smirking as she does so.
“There's still one major problem that needs discussing!”
“And what’s that?” Ocellus asked.
Raven sat up straight, levitated a sheet of paper from her stacks, up to herself, and began tapping on it lightly as she read it.
“Note how often Spike would visit this shop. It is said that he would go there once a week to buy the same things and he has been doing this for three months straight.” Raven set the paper down on the table. “Taking that into consideration. Spike has made himself that owners best customer.” Raven smirk. “And with how often he sees him come and go.” Raven raised an eyebrow. “Even if he never put together that Spike isn't a pony, he would still notice. One extremely distinct feature about him.....Do you know what that is?”
Ocellus eyes widen at the realization that entered her mind. *BANG* “HIS WINGS!” she yelled after slamming her hooves on the table.
Raven nodded. “That's right, his wings. Sure, his tail is also one, but to him that could have been anything, but the wings can't be faked so easily like that.”
“Because Spike use his wings to fly. The owner even said so himself.”
"Well, he was a rather short fellow, but he did have the ability to fly.
Raven horn glowed and a image of Rainbow Dash in her old Gala dress appeared.
“Note in this image that you can see the holes where Ms. Dash wings poke through. This is the same for all clothing for winged creatures so they can still fly.” Raven makes another image appear. This time its Fluttershy in her Mare do well costume.
“And yes, I'm very well aware of Ms. Rarity’s smart thinking to cover up Ms. Shy wings. So, their color doesn't stick out or else Rainbow might, no, would easily recognize them for she and Fluttershy have been friends since foalhood.” Raven glanced over at Twilight giving her a stare. Twilight noticed the way she was looking at her and tried to shift her own gaze to look at anything else but Raven. It was obvious that Twilight knew exactly what Raven was trying to say and she was too ashamed to admit her own folly. But Raven will get to that in due time.
“What the hay are you getting at?” Asked Rainbow.
“She's saying that the shop owner had to of seen Spike’s wings when he flies.” Ocellus explains.
Raven nodded. “That's correct, but! We have to take into account exactly when he was able to see Spike fly. It can't be after he leaves the shop. The front door is made of solid wood. So he can't see him take off outside.”
“Which means Spike would be flying around the store.” Ocellus shakes her head. “But that isn't the case, is it?”
Raven nods. “That's right. As I said earlier. I’ve been to that store myself. The items Spike would buy were not beyond his reach. He didn't need to fly.” Raven smirk. “But there is one moment where he would.”
“And that would be?” Rarity asked.
Raven turned her sights to Pinkie Pie. “Ms. Pie!”
“Yes, Raven!”
“At Sugarcube corner. You deal with kid customers, right?”
“Yeppers, all the time!”
“So, tell me how exactly do they give you money. When they pay for their order. What I mean is how do each member of the three pony races make their exchange with you?”
“Well for earth pony foals. I would reach down and take their bits, the same goes for unicorns, unless they know how to use their magic, and for pegesi, they would just fly up to me.”
“And that's exactly what you did, isn't Spike?” Ocellus asked. “I bet the counter was a little too high for you. So, you simply fly up to the owner's level to make the exchange.”
Spike nodded.
“And I bet you don't cover your wings with anything, neither?” Asked Raven. “You admitted that you didn't ask for magical help with your disguise, that includes non-magical. Which means you didn't ask for anyone's help.”
“That makes sense. You can’t just cover your wings any old way. It will interfere with your flying. Which is what Rarity took into account when she made Fluttershy’s, Mare-do-well costume. We saw how she made sure to use material that was aerodynamic and measured her wings so they would fit perfectly in the wing slots.”
“And seeing how Spike was able to fly really fast when some of you were chasing him. Only helps cement this argument.” Raven adjusts her glasses. “I think it's about time we wrap this up. First off. I would like to point out Ms. Dash poor investigation skills.”
“And what’s that supposed to mean?” Yelled Rainbow.
“What I mean is that you should have asked the store owner for more details about the admirer.” Raven answered. “As I mentioned earlier. I to visit that shop and spoke with him and he told me the exact same thing, he told you. I was already sure it was Spike but just to be safe. I asked him did he notice anything else about this mysterious customer that stands out. He pointed out two.” Raven grins. “Can you guess what those are?”
“His wings and tail.” Ocellus answers.
“That's correct. Remember what Princess Luna said earlier. When I showed her that image of Spike?”
(Flashback)
“Do you know who that is, standing in front of Ms. Rarity?”
“It’s Spike!” Luna answers.
Raven raised a questioning eyebrow. “Are you sure?”
“Of course, I’m sure!”
“How exactly? He’s wearing a disguise. Not only that, but I don't think you seen Spike as many times as everyone else here in this room.”
“Is that a trick question? Even with that outfit on, I that dragon more than enough times to recognize his obvious features, that are clearly sticking out.” Luna elaborates.
One look from anyone who knows him, would recognize him in a heartbeat.”
“And she was right. For seven of you, seen Spike in his disguise and recognize him immediately.” (Raven points a hoof out.) “The memories prove as much.” She explained. Causing five out of the seven to cringe at her words. (Raven slams a hoof on the table.) *BANG* “So in conclusion. Spikes disguise wasn't even a good one. Those who known him for a very long time could easily tell it was him. (Raven levitated her list of names) “I have this list of ponies. Who were able to guest that the disguised figure was Spike.” (She set the list down) “Luna was able to recognize him despite not seeing him as much because she can clearly see the obvious traits to his features sticking out for anyone to see. His wings were also out on open display as he was flying away from those who were chasing him. I mean what pony have wings like that. And don’t you dare say bat pony because there’s no way a bat pony would know all 13 of us. So, I find it weird how those most closes to him, didn't recognize him at all. Especially you.....Princess Twilight.”
Everyone in the room turned to the mare in question. Who just sat there sweating nervously?
“Care to explain how you, who have known Spike since the day he was born. Didn't recognize him when he was wearing a stupid disguise, that couldn't even hide his most recognizable features.”
Twilight opens her mouth to speak but said nothing. She just doesn't know why she didn't recognize Spike. The same is said for the other herd members. They didn't know either. Except one of them had an idea as to why but chose to stay quiet about it.
Raven let out a deep sigh. “So, none of you have anything to say?” silence was her only response. “That's fine! For there is still one last thing to go over and this one would have told you that Spike was the secret admirer, without having to investigate where the letters were being bought. In other words. You could have figured it out right from the very start. After all Spike practically pointed himself out to you.”
“And what is it, this time?” Rainbow asked annoyingly.
“I’ll just cut straight to the chase.” Raven pointed a hoof at a creature sitting across from her. “She's the reason that proves that Spike was the admirer.” Everyone turned their heads to the one in question. It was none other than.
”GABBY!?”
“Me!?”
“Yes you. You're literally the only one among the herd that clearly points out that Spike is definitely the admirer.”
“And how exactly?” asked Smolder.
“Simple! Who else besides Spike did she give her address to, that lives in Ponyville?”
Gabby thought about that and came to a shocking revelation. “No one! I only gave Spike my address when we decided to. Become pen-pals.”
“Which means he’s the only one who could send letters to Gabby. Unless he gave her address to someone else. Which we know is definitely not the case. But back then you didn't, and he was the one who pointed Gabby out, remember.”
"Anyway, getting back on track here," Rainbow said. "I want whoever keeps doing this revealed so we can get to the bottom of why they're all so infatuated with us, and maybe we can take them on a date or two with all of us. It's not just the seven of us, either. Scootaloo is also talking to me about how she keeps getting love letters and gifts as well. The gifts are usually her favorite snacks or candy. She's flattered someone would do this to show that they love her, but she, as well as the other Crusaders, have their eyes on someone else."
"Sweetie Belle was also talking about getting the same things, Rainbow," Rarity said.
"Same with Apple Bloom," Applejack added.
"Smolder came to me with the same topic just yesterday," Twilight added. "She said that although she's flattered as well with all the kind words, she already has her eyes set on someone else too, but she didn't say who it was."
"My pen-pal Gabby has also written me saying how she's gotten love letters similar to yours," Spike put in.
“Another clue was that the admirer also buys the crusaders favorite candies.”
“Combine that with the knowledge of the ones receiving these letters and gifts.”
FRIENDSHIP CASTLE, MAP ROOM. 12:30 P.M.
"Another one," Twilight grumbled as she threw the envelope on the table.
The thing she was referring to was one of the many love letters she had been receiving over the last three months. It wasn't just her either. Rarity, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Starlight Glimmer, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Smolder, and even Gabby had gotten all kinds of love letters and love poems from an unknown person proclaiming how much they loved all of them. Occasionally, they were all given small gifts such as a bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates or, in Smolder's case, a pile of her favorite gemstones.
“Then it's obvious that the admirer would have to be someone who knows you all.” Raven grin. “And Gabby being an admirer easily solves the mystery instantly.”
“How?” Asked Smolder.
Ocellus gasp. As she just remembered something Smolder told her about the letters. The realization caused her blurt out.
”THE LETTERS DIDN'T HAVE AN ADDRESS. THAT OR THEY WERE FAKE!”
Raven nodded. “Exactly!”
“Wait! I’m confused.” Said Starlight. “It's true the letters didn't have an address. But how does that prove why Gabby is the one that tells us that Spike was the admirer?”
“Seriously Starlight!” Ocellus says in disbelief. “Think about it. Spike can't send Gabby a letter by mail using a fake address or none at all.”
Raven speaks. “If he did use a fake address. Then wouldn't Gabby try and hunt down her admire by following the address. She is a postal worker after all.”
Ocellus speaks. “And the address would have to be real. If you're going to mail them through the post office. You can’t mail anything from an address that doesn't exist.”
Raven continues. “And using other people addresses is a big no, no.”
Ocellus continues. “Which is of course why Spike delivers the letters himself. He knows where you all live, In Ponyville.”
Raven speaks. “But Gabby lives far away in Griffonstone. So, what would be the best way for him to send an unmark letter to her?”
It didn't take long for the 12 herdmates to figure out the answer to that question. As their eyes widen at the realization.
Twilight speaks. “He would just do it the same way he always sends letters to Princess Celestia......His magic fire breath.”
“Exactly!” Raven said proudly. “The same would go for me as well. Every other week I would find a love letter and gift outside my door.” Raven turns to Gabby. “I’m guessing the same is for you.”
Gabby nodded.
“So in conclusion. If you all had questioned Spike. Seeing how he’s the only one you know who haves Gabby’s address and even speak to Gabby herself. You would of came to the solution that Spike was the one sending the letters. Just as I did.” Raven shakes her head disappointingly. “Which Is why I am very disappointed in you, Twilight Sparkle.”
“W-what did I do?”
“You didn't conduct a proper investigation. Like you did seven years ago.” Raven exclaimed.
“What investigation?”
Raven horn glowed and a image of a cake appeared. “Remember the Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness—or as Pinkie nicknamed it, MMMM."
Y
Another image appeared, replacing the last one.
“The large cake that Mr. and Mrs. Cake made for the National Dessert Competition here in Canterlot. The same cake Pinkie was in charge of and responsible for its transport.
Y
Another image appeared.
“The same cake that Mr. and Mrs. Cake put hours upon hours of their lives into making and was absolutely worried that it would have gotten ruined during the walk to the train. After all, transporting a cake as big as that is always the most stressful part.”
Y
Raven glared at Twilight. “Do you remember now?”
Twilight nodded. “Yes!”
Raven relaxed and adjusted her glasses. “Then you also remembered what happened to the cake.” Raven replace the previous image with a new one. “After all it was you who discovered that someone had token multiple bites out of the it.”
Image change.
“And it was YOU who conducted a proper investigation. By having Pinkie retrace her steps, which led you to clues that help solve the case and reveal that three of your asshole friends were the culprits.”
Y
Raven shakes her head in disappointment. “So why didn't you do the same thing when trying to figure out who the secret admirer is. I was able to do it so I know that you are capable of doing the same.” Raven slams her hoof on the table. “So, explain to me why you didn't investigate properly, Detective!”
Twilight just sat there nervously in silence for a bit. Trying to think of something to say. “W-well.......I-I........You see-”
Twilight was interrupted by none other than Rainbow Dash. Who had shot up from her seat and glared at Raven angrily?
“Mother of Faust, Rainbow! Can ya’ll scream any louder?” Said Applejack.
“Sorry!” Rainbow said to her friend. Before turning her attention back to Raven. “Anyway, did you just call me, Rarity, and Fluttershy a bunch of assholes, you son of a bitch!?”
Raven also shot up from her seat and met the cyan pegasus glare with her own. “Yes, Rainbow. I did. You three are a bunch of assholes for what you did to that cake.” Raven points at RD. “You're supposed to be the element of loyalty. Yet you betrayed your friend trust by sneaking behind her back to eat some of it.”
Rainbow didn't have a retort to that. For she knew, Raven was right.
Raven continues. “Rarity, you were completely selfish. Sneaking a bite of the cake is one thing. It is another when that cake is so important to somepony else.”
Rarity bowed her head in shame.
“And Fluttershy, you were nothing but a big dumb meanie.”
Fluttershy couldn't help but cry at that. Fortunately, Discord was there to comfort her.
“Raven!” Pinkie spoke. Getting the unicorn attention. “It was my fault for making MMMM sound so tasty in the first place and I forgiven them for what they did.” Pinkie’s words were able to raise her three friend's spirits. “Also,” Pinkie got up from her seat, hop over the table, walk to the center towards the image of Twilight and slap it, causing it to rapidly cycle through multiple more images like a game show wheel and after a bit of waiting. She stop it with a hoof. Showing the exact image, she was looking for.
Raven just sat there staring with her mouth agape. She was completely speechless. Sure she heard about Pinkie Pie’s crazy antics and the random, out of nowhere, things she could do. But to actually she her do it was a different story entirely. “H-how did you-”
“I’m just going to stop you right there, Raven.” Said Twilight. “Don't even bother trying to question it. I tried that once and it nearly drove me insane.”
“Her Pinkie sense!” Raven guess.
Twilight nodded. “Its best just to go along with it and accept it. Trust me!” Twilight added.
Raven just nodded in understanding. Pinkie Pie had returned to her seat while the two were talking.
“So, what is it you're trying to point out with this image, Ms. Pie.”
“As you can see. After the other bakers ate each other desserts. I got the big idea to combine what was left into the cake you see now. Winning first prize for all of us.”
All Pinkie friends acknowledge her explanation.
“So in the end, everything turned out great.” Said Twilight.
“Is that so!” Raven said with a wicked grin. “Because I doubt that’s the whole story.”
“What in tarnation are getting at this time.” argued Applejack. “What more could there be?”
Raven chuckled. “Have you forgotten who the rightful creators of MMMM, are?”
“Of course not! Mr. and Mrs. Cake made it.” Applejack answered.
“Exactly! MMMM, was their cake that they made and entered into the contest. Pinkie Pie job was to only to assure its safe arrival to Canterlot. It was not her place to decide what to do with it after it got ruined. It was not her cake. It was Mr. and Mrs. Cake......uh, cake.” Raven shook her head at that. “Sure, the other bakers had every right to decide what to do with their own desserts, but Mr. and Mrs. Cake didn't.” Raven shrug. “True you did win first place, but it was a conjoined victory and no doubt, Pinkie Pie. You would have to tell them everything about what happened. After all, MMMM, didn't win the contest, hell it didn't even get entered.” Raven was the only one to notice the panicking looks on Pinkie’s, Rainbow’s, Rarity’s, and Fluttershy’s faces. They tried to remain calm, but it was hard not to after hearing Raven’s words. “So, one could only guess how Mr. and Mrs. Cake took it when they learned the truth about what happened to MMMM!”
“I’m sure The Cakes forgave Rainbow, Rarity, and Fluttershy!” Spike suggested.
Raven sigh. “Oh, my sweet little naive, purple bear. I’m afraid that’s not the case.”
“What makes you so sure?” asked Applejack.
“Well, the fact that you and Twilight were never told. Is one thing.” Said Raven.
Twilight and AJ took a quick confused glance at one another before looking back at Raven. “The thought never crossed my mind, but I agree with Spike. They must have forgiven them.”
“Oh, they did. Just not off the bat and I’ll show you why.” Raven turned to look at AJ. “Hey, Applejack, do you remember having your brother carry that heavy cake?”
AJ raised an eyebrow as she thought about that day. “Yeah, what about-” *ZAP* Applejack was interrupted by Raven shooting a bean at her forehead. The image Pinkie brought up was replace by a memory video. “What in tarnation!”
“Relax you’ll be fine. I just wanted you guys to see for yourselves. Exactly why The Cakes couldn't forgive those three so easily. Let's watch.” With that said. Raven started the memory.
After the memory finished. Raven made the screen disappear. Leaving the center of the room void of any images or screens, once more.
“Now, let's recall what was said. When they started transporting the cake.”
Pinkie Pie: Alrighty then, Big Mac! To the train depot! That's it, Big Mac, nice and slow. This is precious cargo you're carrying.
Mr. Cake: Yes, it took months of planning and testing.
Mrs. Cake: I would hate for it to–
Big McIntosh: [grunts]
Mr. Cake and Mrs. Cake: Fall!
“Mr. Cake said it took months of planning and testing. They spent so much time and money into making that cake absolutely perfect for the contest. Which is why they were so worried about it being ruined after all that work, they put into it.” Raven adjust her glasses. “I don't think the other bakers put as much effort into their desserts as The Cakes did. Which is why they were cool with each other eating their work and combining it together to make a whole new dish. I mean seriously it was a baking contest. So, what happens to all the entries after a winner is decided?”
“They get shared and eaten by everypony.” Pinkie sadly answers.
“That's right. All entries winners and losers alike are shared and eaten by the public. We wouldn't want the food to go to waste. It's common knowledge that was going happen. So, all you three had to do,” Raven glared at the three culprits. “Was simply waited till the contest was over and you would have gotten your share, no problem. But noooooo! You had to get fucking greedy and for what!? Because Pinkie Pie talked about how delicious the cake was...
“That’s no excuse and you three know it. You knew that cake was for a contest, you knew how important it was for it to get to Canterlot unscathed, you even help carry it to the train station. But despite all that you still decided to sneak a bite and not just one but multiple. Completely ruining it and destroying any chance of The Cakes winning the contest and I. DON'T. GIVE A. DAMN that Pinkie’s idea help everyone win. What would you do if the other bakers didn't eat each others dishes? Oh that right NOTHING!!! You can't enter a half eaten dessert into the contest. So you would have no choice but to return back to Ponyville and tell Mr.and Mrs. Cake the bad news and do any of you, in. This. Room truly believe that those two who put months of planning, work, effort, money, tears and sweat into making that cake would not be absolutely furious that all there hard work was completely WASTED!!!!”
Silence.
“WELL!?”
Still silent.
“So you all can see that there’s no way The Cakes could just forgive those three for what they have done and there was no way they could of gotten away with it. Even if Pinkie decided to lie for them. Events like The National Dessert Competition are always place in the newspaper and The Equestrian Newspaper works extremely fast. So The Cakes would of gotten the paper before you six got back to town.” Raven smirk. “No different from when the five of you tried to stop Rarity from reading the article about her shop grand opening in Manehatten.”
That made the mane six cringe at that. More so for Pinkie and the three culprits.
“Pictures of all desserts and their bakers would be taken and listed in the paper. With the winner being at the top and that picture contained Pinkie; who was representing The Cakes. And the other three bakers. Since it was the four of you who made that conjoined dessert together and since the news of the event was in every local news paper. The Cakes would of saw that their cake wasn't on the list. At least not in the way that it should of been.
Seeing how it was apart of an conjoined dish. So of course they would want to know what happened to MMMM, and why did they win first prize in a shared victory with a cake they had no part in making. With that said, how about you stop trying to protect those three, Pinkie Pie and tell us what happened when The Cakes learned the truth.”
Everyone’s attention turned to Pinkie, Rarity, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. All four look incredibly distraught.
“Girls!” Twilight called out. Getting the four mares attention. “I can't deny what Raven said about The Cakes hard work going to waste because of what the three of you did. I understand that they would be mad. But their cake was apart of the conjoined entry that won first place, so their hard work wasn't completely wasted. So they must of still forgave you....right!”
Rarity let out a deep sigh before speaking. “No, darling. They didn't.”
The news shocked Twilight. “But why?”
“Because we stupidly ruined their cake and wasted all their hard work.” Rainbow answered.
“But they still won first place, seeing how their cake was still apart of the conjoin one.” Applejack added.
Fluttershy shook her head. “That's no excuse at all. That was just pure dumb luck that was only possible because the other bakers ate one another desserts.”
Pinkie continues. “And if they haven't. MMMM, couldn't be entered into the contest.....Which was the first thing they asked me when they had read the article in the paper about the contest. Wanting to know why their cake wasn't on the list as well as how I won the contest under their name with three other bakers for a cake they had no part in making.”
“What did you tell them?” Asked Twilight.
“The truth, darling!” Rarity Answered. “The four of us told them everything. From Pinkie’s description of the cake, to how three of us took a bite out of it, Yours and Pinkie’s investigations, figuring out that we were the culprits, as well as Pinkie’s idea to combine the desserts, and once we were done explaining.” Rarity rub the back of her head nervously.
“They were.......less than pleased.” Fluttershy finished.
(SugarCube Corner, 7 years ago)
”YOU DID WHHHAAATTT!!!!!!”
”YOU DID WHHHAAATTT!!!!!!”
The loud roaring voices of the married couple shook the dessert looking building. Thanks to the extreme shock of being told about the fate of their precious cake.
Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash were standing bunch up together, shivering in fear under the righteous fury of the two bakers. Pinkie Pie was also there, hiding behind the front counter. Never have she seen her bosses so angry but given the circumstance of the situation. They have every right to be.
She and her friends knew they would have to tell them about what happened to MMMM, it was,
Pinkie wanted to be there by the girl's side when they confess. But they said that she had done nothing wrong, and they should be the ones to tell The Cakes the truth. Which was exactly what they did as Pinkie sat in the sidelines, watching as
told The Cakes everything that happened. Pinkie of course pop in to talk about the investigation but could do no more than sit there as The Cakes chewed out her friends.
“YOU THREE ATE OUR CAKE?” Mrs. Cake asked in anger.
“N-not the whole thing, darling.” Rarity said with a shaky voice. “I only meant to take a little, lady-like bite.” Rainbow and Fluttershy nodded.
The Cake’s scowled at the fashionista exclamation, before Mr. Cake reach into his apron pocket and pulled out a photo and showed it to the three. “Does THIS look like a lady-like bite to you?”
The three mare’s looks at the photo. Confuse as to why the picture even exist in the first place. They then turned to Pinkie for answers and she said. “What!? You should always take photos of the crime scene. So, you can review the evidence later.”
The three culprits turned their attention back to the bakers. When Mrs. Cake spoke. Now holding the photo as she looks at it. “It looks more like you each took one giant bite out of it or quick and fast multiple ones.” She said before putting the photo away.
Rarity chuckled nervously. “Well, I did say *meant to*, darling. Pinkie Pie just made it sound so delectable.
So tasty.
And boy was it!
And it was so good.
Yeah, I just dove right in!
But I'm really really sorry.
Terribly sorry.
Sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Cake.
Each girl bowed their heads as they apologize. Feeling horrible for what they have done and hope that The Cakes could forgive them.
The Cakes look at one another and nodded in silent agreement before turning back to the three mare’s.
After a few moments of silence. Mr. Cake spoke. “I’m glad to hear how much you three liked it.”
“And took responsibility to come to us to confess and apologize.” Said Mrs. Cake.
The girls raised their heads to look at the bakers. With hope in their eyes. The Cakes sounded like they were going to forgive them. But that hope instantly died the second the married bakers scowled angrily at them.
“But you three are here by BANNED from our shop, effective immediately.” Mr. Cake announced angrily.
“Now GET OUT and never come back!” Yelled Mrs. Cake.
Silence. Pure uncomfortable, agonizing, silence. Time had seemed to have stopped in that moment as the reality of the situation began to settle in.
Pinkie Pie, who have been watching from behind the front counter. Was absolutely horrified at her boss's decision. Throughout her years of working here. She had never seen nor heard of The Cakes banning anyone from their shop. It was just unheard of. But then again, no pony had ever done anything to make them anywhere near angry enough to warrant such a punishment, until now. So, it's not like the pink earth pony doesn't understand why her bosses are banning her friends. She just wishes it didn't happen.
As for the three mare’s. They were to absolutely horrified at The Cakes decision to ban them from SugarCube Corner.
Fluttershy couldn't help but start crying at the terrible news. Rarity; also feeling just as sad. Still tried to comfort her friend by patting her on the back. As for Rainbow Dash. She just stood there, flabbergasted for a bit before speaking.
“BANNED!? Why are you banning us? We said we’re sorry!”
“What!? You thought we were just going to instantly forgive you. Just because you felt really bad for what you did and apologize.” Said Mrs. Cake. “I don't know what fantasy world you three think you're in, but this is the real world.”
“You didn't think you could just pull such an idiotic stunt like that and get away with it by simply feeling remorse and apologize. Without facing any consequences for your actions did you.” Mr. Cake added.
Pinkie Pie spoke up. “I-I did!” she said nervously. “After they were found out and confess. I forgave them after they apologize.
“I understand why you did, deary. After all they are your friends, and you don't want to get mad at them.” Mrs. Cake explained.
“But I'm afraid that’s not going to cut it. Not one bit.” Said Mr. Cake. He then turned his attention back at the three mare’s “The National Dessert Competition was no mere baking contest.
“It also serves as a way for bakers to show off their baking skills and advertise their goods.” Mrs. Cake added. “The competition is like a steppingstone for aspiring chefs to present their own new, and originally made desserts to the world.”
“Mulia Mild, Gustave le Grand, and Donut Joe are just three known chefs. Each with their own restaurant. Just like everyone else who entered the contest.” Mr. Cake added. “Like Chiffon said. The contest is a way for chefs to show off their baking skills. By presenting something new and original. The Marzipan Mascarpone Meringue Madness was Chiffon
and I gift to the world. We didn't make it by following some recipe in a cookbook.”
“Carrot and I are the sole original creators of that cake.” Chiffon added. “Everything about it was 100% original. It took months of planning and testing to make. It was our most pride and greatest achievement, and we were looking forward to hearing the results about it and what everyone thinks.”
“But the only ones who got to taste it in its original form. Were you three!” Carrot said angrily. Pointing at the three mare’s. “Not only that but no one really got a chance to eat the conjoined cake because Pinkie Pie ate the whole thing in one gulp.”
“Which was smart of her to do. Because it saved us a whole lot of trouble.” Said Chiffon.
That got the three mare’s confused.
“What exactly do you mean by that?” Asked Rainbow.
Chiffon turns to Pinkie. “Pinkie Pie! Would you care to explain?”
Pinkie let out a sigh. “I didn't just eat the whole cake because I was just being silly. I did it so no one; except Celestia. Would eat any of it.”
That got the three mare’s confused.
“But why, darling?” Rarity asked.
“Because it won first place and the prize wasn't just a shiny blue ribbon, but to also have your creation recipe put in the cookbook of the world's most greatest dishes and their chefs. That alone, combined with winning the contest as well as the publicity, would bring a large boom in sales for victors' restaurant. But because the dessert was just a last minute thrown together creation. Mulia, Gustave, Joe, and I,
Knew we couldn't accept the final award that came with first place. It was a decision we made right after we finished preparing the conjoined cake. Because there's no way we can put what was just thrown together like that in the world's greatest cookbook. It would be extremely difficult for anyone to make from pure scratch. Considering just how much baking you have to do. Just to make one cake.” Pinkie shook her head in frustration. ”And it was not like we can form an alliance to run a shop together. That's just too much trouble and would mean that some of us would have to move just to live closer to each other. So, we agreed to not accept the main prize if we won, and I agreed to stop others from eating it, by eating the whole thing myself. I even told Celestia about the real reason I did that. Since she was the only other pony who ate the piece Twilight gave to her.
It was better this way and when the next competition comes. We’ll just try again in presenting our own desserts like we originally were supposed to....without another mishap like that again.” Pinkie finish.
Carrot spoke. “So, in other words. You three not only ruined our cake but destroyed our chance at getting some good publicity. If we had won. SugarCube Corner would be booming with customers far and wide. Wanting to try our cake.”
Chiffon continues. “And the money we would have made. Would of help us a great deal. We were going to use the money to buy new equipment, remodel the shop a bit, like giving the babies their own bedrooms for when they get older.”
“But we can kiss those plans goodbye, for now. Sure, there always the next competition but that doesn't help with the next big thing you three wasted for us.” Carrot finish.
“And what’s that?” Fluttershy asked.
”Money!”
”Money!”
That caught the three off guard. For none of them expected that as answer. At least more so for Rainbow and Fluttershy. Less so for Rarity. For she fully understands exactly what the cakes were getting at and it only made feel even worse for what she had done. She nor her two friends really didn't think things through before instantly giving into temptation.
“...If I may dare ask...about how much?” asked Rarity, staring in shock.
Carrot taps his chin as he thought about it. “hmmm, Considering the months of testing. When making the prototypes, which means we had to buy multiple fresh ingredients, some which had to be delivered, like the Marzipan, Mascarpone, and Meringue, so that includes delivery cost. All leading up to buying everything we needed for the actual cake itself......I say about 3000 bits at the least.”
(Pinkie breaks the fourth wall to deliver a message)
3000 bits. Yeah, I don't think that’s completely accurate. Clearly just a random number chosen, but I get what the writer of this story trying to do here. He’s not a math wiz and he’s trying to get out the fact that The Cakes spent months planning and testing when they started working on the cake. It makes sense that they would make prototype versions. Seeing what works and what doesn't before making the real one. It is an original never before been made cake after all. So, the final product would cost a lot less to make. Anyway, just breaking the 4th wall to deliver this message to you guys. Because the author doesn't want to have to deal with it in the comments. Sorry for interrupting and back to the story.
The three mare’s jaws drop after hearing what The Cakes had spent to make MMMM.
“It cost that much just to make one cake?” Said Rainbow.
“No, darling. It cost that much to make multiple test versions including the final product.” Rarity explained.
Chiffon nodded. “Though most of the ingredients we got here in Ponyville. The three main ingredients we needed were delivered and it wasn't cheap either. That cake was made with the most freshest ingredients. Truly our most expensive work.”
“But not anywhere near as much if you are just making one cake. The most expensive thing we would have to buy are the Marzipan, Mascarpone, and Meringue but that wouldn't be so bad in the long run. But it was when we needed enough to make the protypes. That’s the reason why the price is as high as it is.” Carrot explained.
“And I know you two,” Chiffon points to Rainbow and Fluttershy. “Have some knowledge on this because you're both friends with Rarity who knows all about spending money to make money. After all are businesses shares that similarity. She needs to buy the things she needs to make her dresses just as Carrot and I need to buy what we need make our goods.”
“So, none of that crossed any of your minds when you decided to eat our cake?” Asked Carrot.
Silence.
“Or the fact the that you could of have your share if you had just been patient?” Said Chiffon. “I mean for crying out loud it was a BAKING CONTEST! What do you think happens to the food after the event is over?”
“It gets shared and eaten by the public!” Rarity sadly answers.
“EXACTLY!” Chiffon bellowed. “But despite knowing about the importance of the cake, and that it was going to a contest where at the end. You three would have gotten your share, without any issue. You still chose to eat it and the only excuse you have is that Pinkie spoke about how delicious it was. Well, that’s no excuse at all and don't even bother bringing up that the other bakers did the same to each other. Cause I. Don't. Care about them eating each other desserts. That's their issue to work out. I’m still wondering why you three decided to eat our cake. Knowing full well of its importance.”
Fluttershy tries to speak up. “W-we’re sor-”
“NO, YOU'RE NOT!” Chiffon yelled. interrupting the shy mare. who only coward in fear at the very angry baker mare? “You three aren't sorry for eating our cake. you're sorry that you got caught! After all, if you really were sorry. You would of confess the second the bite marks were discovered. But instead, you each kept quiet about it. Hoping the truth never gets revealed. Even if that means that someone else take the fall.” Chiffon shakes her head in disgust. “You three are a disgrace to the elements you represent. You BETRAYED our trust, were completely SHELFISH , and were absolutely CRUEL ”
Chiffon’s words hit the three mare’s hard. They felt even more worse than they were at the start, but Chiffon wasn't done yet.
“All the hard work, Carrot and I did was all for nothing. All those months of planning, testing, effort, money, tears and sweat that went into making that cake was COMPLETELY WASTED thanks to you three and all because you couldn't keep your greedy hooves to yourselves, and you think a simple apology would make up for all that? So let's say if you Rainbow. Spent months perfecting a new stunt for The Best Young Flyer competition. One that would guarantee your victory and spending the day with the Wonderbolts. But Carrot and I came in and purposely did something that we knew was wrong but did it anyway. Ruining your stunt at the last minute causing you to lose. Thus, making all your hard work a big waste of time. If we came and apologize. Would you happily accept it at a drop of a hat?”
“No!” Rainbow said sadly. “I would be absolutely furious.”
“And what about you Rarity!” Carrot asked the unicorn. “Could you easily forgive us if we ruined a very special dress you made for very super important client?”
“No!”
“Then you three know the full weight of what you did to us and why we banned you from our shop.” Chiffon said sternly. The three mare’s, solemnly nodded. “Good, and let this be a lesson for you three, Actions haves Consequences and you must always face them head on instead trying to run away from them. Cause if you don't, one day they will catch up to you. One way or another.” The three mare’s just nodded to acknowledge their understanding. “Then that's all we have to say. You three may show yourselves out.”
With that said. Rainbow, Fluttershy, Rarity looks at one another. Seeing the guilty and sad looks upon each other faces but there was also something else. Determination. They remembered what Mrs. Cake about taking responsibility for your actions and she’s right. They want to do the right thing and fix the mess they created by doing just that. After their silent conversation. The three agreed to apologize to The Cakes again. For real this time. With newfound spirit. The three culprits stood firm with strong determination.
“Why are you three just standing there?” Asked Chiffon. “We told you to leave!”
We know...” said Rainbow Dash, giving a guilty sigh. “Look... what we did was bad...”
“Yes, it was,” Mrs. Cake said.
“And we're sorry...” Rarity added, lowering her head.
“We really are! For real this time.” Fluttershy added.
“As you mentioned earlier, I'd be just as mad if somepony wrecked a big stunt that I spent months planning for the biggest flying contest in Equestria...I'd be more than upset, I'd be furious...but can we please just make it up to you somehow?” asked Rainbow Dash, with an unusual seriousness about her. “...I'm a lot of things...but I hate the idea of betraying somepony... For something I did, and I want to make up for it.”
“As do I!” Said Rarity.
“Me too!” Said Fluttershy.
Rainbow speaks. “You said that ponies should take responsibility for their actions and face the consequences. The three of us want to do just that and are willing to do whatever you say as punishment in order to have our ban lifted.” Rainbow bowed her head. “Please, let us make up for our mistake and prove to you both how sorry we are.”
Pinkie Pie speaks. Getting her bosses attentions. “Please, Mr. are Mrs. Cake!” She pleaded. “Can you please give my friends a chance to make up for what they did?”
The two married bakers looked over to the trio, seeing the guilty and apologetic looks on their faces. This time they can truly see that they now understand the depth of what they did and genuinely wants to make up for eating their precious cake. The Cakes turned aside and whispered to each other. The three ponies waited nervously for an answer. After what felt like an eternity. The Cakes finish their discussion, turned to face the three, and gave their answer.
“Alright, if you want to make it up to us, you're going to be working your flanks off,” Mrs. Cake replied. “If you do, we will lift the ban. You three will spend the next few months cleaning up the shop from top to bottom, inside and out, and helping out if we need you to. Working off what you took from us and the work you wasted, deal?”
”Deal!”
”Deal!”
“...Do I have to wear a hair net?” Rarity asked with a bit of hesitation in her tone.
“If we need you to,” Mr. Cake replied sternly.
“...I suppose I had that coming.” Rarity sighed. ”Deal!”
(Present day, The Meeting Room)
“And so, for three months. We became temporary unpaid employees of SugarCube Corner.” Rarity explained. “We had to clean whatever needs cleaning. Like the kitchen, which we did together. Before splitting up to clean the basement, the attic, and” Rarity shudders. “The ovens, those greasy, grimy ovens. I desperately needed a shower after that.”
“Fluttershy did the attic. While I did the basement.” Said Rainbow. “We both finished around the same time and was told to wash the outside of the building.
“And we also help out with customers and orders. When we were needed.” Said Fluttershy.
“Long story short. The Cakes meant it when they said that we were going to work our flanks off. But it was the price we had to pay for ruining their cake.” Said Rainbow.
“Which they awarded each of us a small one for doing such a good job in helping them out so much during our sentence.” Said Fluttershy.
“The delicious fruits of our labor.” Rarity added. “Still. I learned my lesson.” Rainbow and Fluttershy both nodded in agreement. “What the three of us did was wrong in more ways than one. We knew it was and we chose to do it anyway. We were cruel , we betrayed the trust of our friends, for our own selfish reasons, and were willing to sit back and let others take the blame for what we did. And when we were found out. We actually believed that by simply apologizing and feeling remorse for something we purposely chose to do. Will get us off the hook just like that.....Of course not. What were we thinking! I know forgiving others for their mistakes is what we do. Take Starlight for example.” Rarity gestures to the Mare in question. “We didn't punish her because we learned about her backstory. Which told us why she became a cult leader and wanted to mess up the past. There was a reason why she did the things she did, a reason why it led her down such a dark path. She just needed someone to help guide her down the right path and show her a better way.”
Rarity shook her head in disappointment. “But that doesn't explain why Rainbow, Fluttershy, and I did what we did. We don't have some traumatic back story that explains why we chose to eat that cake. No excuse at all. We knew what we did and why we did it. So, it only makes absolute sense for the three of to be punish for what we did because we had no clear way to say otherwise.”

As Rarity was giving her speech. Everyone in the room paid close attention to her. They just listen to her go on as she spoke about actions and consequences. Which some in the room even agreed with her, due to their own mistakes of the past. But things were more different for Princess Celestia. For she had been giving Rarity’s speech. Far more attention than normal. So far nobody else notice it, nobody else could see the true meaning behind the story the trio told, or Rarity’s speech. On the surface it doesn't look like anything out the ordinary was going on. But the sun princess knew better. After all she have seen this trick before.
Celestia shifted her gaze towards Raven. Who just sat there in her chair doing nothing special except listening to Rarity? Raven quickly noticed Celestia looking right at her and shifted her own eyes. So, their gazes met. They just silently stared at each other for what felt like an eternity.
”Raven, you didn't!?” Celestia thought worriedly.
As if she was able to hear the Sun monarch's thoughts. A deviously big smile began to form on Raven’s face. Celestia’s eyes widen in horror at the confirmation of herself being right and it was in that moment Celestia knew. Discord was fuck.

Short: The First Meeting (Chrysalis)
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. OBJECTION!!!!! Spike's Sacrifice was completely Unnecessary
She's been playing us from the start.
A devious big smile began to form on Raven’s face. Celestia’s eyes widen in horror at the confirmation of herself being right and it was in that moment she knew. Discord was fuck.
Celestia just sat there in chair as beads of sweat began to roll down her face as she stared in fear at the glasses wearing mare. Raven stared back in return with a smug grin on her face, silently chuckling to herself.
Everyone was too fixated on Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow’s tales about action and consequences, to notice the two glancing at one another as if trying to read the other thoughts, but it wasn't necessary. Just the look on the other one face alone was enough to tell them exactly what the other was thinking, but for Celestia there were still questions that plague her mind. She could clearly see the cake incident story for what it truly is in this situation. Raven is using the incident as well as the lessons learned from it to attack Discord from a different angle.
Sure, stealing a bite of an important cake, isn't on the same playing field as bringing back multiple villains to attack Equestria. Nor are the consequences that came after, but that wasn't what Raven was trying to say. She wasn't trying to compare the two incidents.
Celestia thought back to what Rarity said moments ago.
“Still. I learned my lesson.” Rainbow and Fluttershy both nodded in agreement. “What the three of us did was wrong in more ways than one. We knew it was and we chose to do it anyway. We were cruel, we betrayed the trust of our friends, for our own selfish reasons, and were willing to sit back and let others take the blame for what we did. And when we were found out. We actually believed that by simply apologizing and feeling remorse for something we purposely chose to do. Will get us off the hook just like that.
Celestia took her sights off Raven as she clenches her teeth at the fact that Raven planned for this. She's using the cake incident to point out the similarities between the three cake stealers and Discord for choosing to do something they knew was wrong and did it anyway, but there were still more questions that needed to be answered. It's clear as day to see the basics of what Raven trying to prove, but they’re still some plot holes in her logic. Celestia takes a moment to think about all this to herself.
“So basically, this entire conversation is about how actions has consequences. And that forgiveness ISN'T easily earned?
Okay, I do get that. And I see why Raven wants Discord punished in some way. Considering that she isn't as forgiving as the rest of us. I mean, his whole plan did cause this tragic mess in the first place. But what I don't understand, is why! Why are you doing this in the first place, Raven?” Celestia cast a quick glance back at the mare in question. Raven was just sitting there silently laughing to herself. No doubt laughing at how nobody else had figured out her little game. How she cleverly set them all up from the start, but Celestia knew, not at first, no, but she had her speculations.
Everything started out fine enough, but then spiraled off course since Raven revied Spike, so to speak and she's not talking about the crazy kiss the two shared, but everything after that. From revealing she was Spike 13th admirer, to explaining how the original 12 could have easily figured out that Spike was the one sending the letters, to bringing up the MMMMystery on the friendship express fiasco.
Throughout it all, Celestia could only wonder as to why they suddenly drove off course from the reason they all were here in the first place. It was only till Rarity, Rainbow, and Fluttershy spoke about what happened between them the Cakes did Celestia began to put the pieces together and the second the sun monarch saw that devious smile on Raven’s face, she knew all too well that Raven had planned for all of this, before the meeting even began.
She knew just what to say and when to say it. When the meeting started, she put all focus on Discord and his crimes, and how he should be punish along with Tirek and Chrysalis.
That's when Celestia realized that it wasn't yet revealed about Raven’s role in all this. Everyone who had showed up to the meeting after being called by Twilight, don't yet know that Raven plans to defend Chrysalis and Tirek in court. Right now they only thinks she's just trying to get Discord tried and punish, nothing more, and Raven hadn't made a single attempt to tell everyone.
Then there was Spike’s resurrection. Raven already knew for the past three weeks that Spike was visiting from heaven everyday and already made plans to revive him. She just needed an opening to do so.
And that was it, the opening Raven created for herself to bring Spike back. Which led to her revealing that she is also an admirer of his, which led to the whole proving how the other 12 admirers could have easily guess that Spike was their secret admirer.
That grin, Celestia knew from the start that something was off about it, but nothing came to mind at the time. Raven wanted to talk about the secret admirer thing. All so she can bring up MMMM.
Again, she knew what to say and when to say it, only this time she purposely directed her comment at the one she knew she’ll get a strong reaction out of and it just so happened to be the one she needed for her plan to move forward.
Rainbow Dash! Of course, she wouldn't just sit back and let someone mock her or her friends that way and being one of the ones who took a bite out of MMMM! Only made things easier for Raven. Which all led to the three cake stealers telling their story about how the Cake’s didn't just forgive them for doing something so stupid and the final nail on the coffin was what Rarity just said.
Celestia knew exactly what Raven was trying to say, she could see the hidden message in the similarities between what the trio did compare to Discord. Even so, she still doesn't understand why! Why is Raven doing this? Why is she so hellbent on taking down Discord?
Yes, he did what he did and yes, he shouldn't have done it, but he was only trying to help everyone, he didn't mean for things end the way it did. He apologized, he felt genuine remorse for actions, unlike Tirek and Chrysalis, and yet Raven wants to help those two, even after everything they've done.
So why is she helping them? Why does she believe they are the victims and Discord the villain? Why would she side with the one who literally laugh at the fact that her beloved Spike is dead and shit on his grave?
“Why, why, why, why, why!”
“Celestia?”
”Why, why, why, why, why!”
“Tia, what’s wrong?”
Everyone in the room stared at the sun monarch, as she kept repeating the word Why! over and over and over again. Everycreature was confused and wondered what was wrong. All except of glasses wearing unicorn, who just sat there in her char with smug grin on her face.
”I do love it when a plan comes together,” Raven thought to herself.
As Celestia kept up her mantra, she slowly turned her sights to Raven. Once the two eyes have met, Celestia spoke.
“WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS RAVEN? WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING CHRYSALIS AND TIREK?”
That got those who didn't know what Celestia was saying, really confused. The looks upon their faces were priceless.
Raven chuckled. ”Now the real meeting, can finally begin.”
To be continued.
OBJECTION!!!!! Spike's Sacrifice was completely Unnecessary
*IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE*
*IMPORTANT AUTHOR'S NOTE*
As I mentioned in my Previous blog a few of my stories are in need of re-writing, before I can truly continue them. I also said that I will explain the problem with each story, starting with OBJECTION!!!!!! Spike's sacrifice was completely unnecessary.
This story is definitely in need of a brand-new coat of paint for many reasons and had been for some time.
I'll admit. When I first started this story, I didn't exactly have a clear idea on the direction I wanted it to go. In fact, it was supposed to be shorter, like three chapters or so, but I knew I could do better and put in more effort, which is exactly what I did.
I wanted to do what I can to make the story really interesting, and ideas I came up with were doing just that but...... That's pretty much sums up the main issue with this story. Too many ideas thrown in with no clear narrative to the story as a whole.
Allow me to explain.
One of my ideas involved with Raven talking to a mysterious figure whose identity was never revealed, as well as another mysterious figure watching from the background. I had long since decided to cancel this idea, Click Here to learn a little more about it.
I will go into more details about this in my next blog, as I'm trying to get through this one as quickly as I can.
Just know that this sub plot had no major influence on the story and just ended up being an unnecessary thing that I wanted gone. Because as my story evolved it made the sub plot completely pointless, for I just wanted to focus solely on the main plot.
******
The next issue involves the brand-new direction my story is going. For you see one of my readers really really really really really wanted to see the confrontation between Spike and Chrysalis, but I was nowhere near that point in the main story. So, I written a side story called HOLD IT 2: How The hell are you still alive.
Originally it was supposed to be a small non-canon sub plot, but I took it too seriously, all thanks to my ever-growing ideas. It's because of this that the ideas I originally had for the main story has drastically changed.
There were already many reasons why I thought about re-writing this story and HOLD IT 2 was the final nail in the coffin.
Between, canceled sub plots, no clear direction, updating pointless chapters, rewriting a chapter just so things will tie with the new direction going forward. I'm sorry but this story is an absolute mess and is in need of an extreme makeover.
I can't on good conscious continue this story in the state it's in now. Which is why I will cancel this version and start again fresh. And don't worry it won't be a simple copy and paste thing. Some stuff will be brought into the new version, but all in all it will be entirely brand new. I wasn't exaggerating when I said I'm giving this story an extreme makeover and this time I'm doing things right.
As Thor once said as he stared at Discord, remembering his horrors of crimes-
*Let's Punish him properly this time.*
